I imagine that because of the fact that hylian's are so light that they didn't put that much into the growth of physical arts

they can punch and kick fine but that's more so used for scraps agents one another, rather than in fights against monsters

hylian's don't have enough strength or weight to have it be worth it on the battlefield

its much more worth their time and energy to learn things like swordsmanship or artery, and be nimble

but guide dose have: the muscle, weight, durability and training necessary for such a strategy to be worth it

It would be more effective for the reader to use the Muay Thai and Taekwondo they worked so hard on instead of learning something new

sorry if ive made a post like this before but like genuinely I cant thank yall enough

a year or two ago I wouldn't've even dreamed of posting some of the art I do these days without a second thought.

Around middle school, when I got more and more into drawing I've always loved shitty self inserts or trope-y/cliche stories (and clearly i still do lmfao), but back then, i really fucking hated myself for only drawing that stuff.

those drawings and stories made me really happy at a point- until I learned to be ashamed and resentful of this 'cringe culture' I was taking part in. I wanted to share my art and stories but I didn't want people to think I was a cringe 13 year old artist even though that's exactly what I was, and there's nothing wrong with that- because I was drawing what made me happy.

I'm so thankful for all of your support because its what helped me come out of my shell. so many times I would hesitate to post or share something because it was too cringy or angsty or whatever, and its still taking real long to try and get over that whole mentality.

but even then I kept posting, almost like testing the boundaries.

little by little I wanted to see what point people would call me out for it, and so far that has yet to come, at least, side from jokingly hehe.

I still get scared posting these things sometimes, but i think Ive come a long way in being able to express myself more openly, and thats only because of all of you. taking those steps was and is scary but then suddenly- people started to like what I made... these silly self insert stories i daydream about, that I hated myself for making for so long, and people were just like totally ok with them lmao. it feels silly to say out loud but man, it got to a point where I grew so tired of drawing because everything I made would make me cringe and hate what I was doing more and more.

so like thanks for stickin with me, even if my posts make ya cringe or feel second hand embarrassment- you sure did a good job of hiding it, lol! for now I'll just keep trying my best to be the cringe adult I've grown up to be, because its what I want to draw.

You find out Dalv's backstory not through recorded tapes, but through his diary! You know, how he has one in the Ruins? In turn, Chujin still records tapes.

I actually wrote Dalv's diary entries and will be leaving them under the cut so you can all get your dose of exposition, but I'll give a summary of it below the Diary Entries if you want a TLDR!

Also, I apologize if the writing isn't very good- I tried my best to keep Dalv's character and write out what happened, but I'd probably edit a couple details if I wasn't lazy LMAO

SUMMARY:

Dalv and Starlo own a large farming area together where they grow crops for monsters to buy. They were given an opportunity to expand the farm, and their business by association, to the Snowdin area. Starlo was unable to meet with the people in Snowdin about it, so Dalv had to go. He was a bit nervous to do so, Chujin offered to join him! As long as he got to test out his latest project; Axis, a funny little robot. Rover, Dalv and Starlo's kid, also joined them! They wanted to visit Snowdin and play with Chujin's robot. Dalv and Chujin left Axis to watch and play with Rover while they had their meeting. But this is when danger struck. During the meeting, a human came through Snowdin and attacked Rover, even taking their hat. Despite Axis already chasing after the human and Chujin giving Dalv warnings, Dalv ran after the human as well to find his kid's hat.

Dalv did find the human... who was very injured after seemingly having had a run-in with Axis who was oddly nowhere to be found in that moment. When Dalv encountered in the human... something shifted in him. This human hurt his child, they could have taken them away... Seeing them... He felt angry. Without thinking, for reasons he can't really explain, he attacked the human and finished them off for good. In a panic, mortified at what he suddenly did, he stole the soul. He didn't want to admit it, even if this was what monsters were meant to do to humans. The soul was declared missing and Chujin was blamed; there was concern over how much damage Axis caused and the fact that he seemingly killed the human so brutally that he also destroyed the soul which they NEEDED.

Dalv decided he was going to try and use the soul for good and try to infuse its power into his crops! He thought if monsters ate them, they'd gain enough power to last against humans AND possibly bypass the barrier. He couldn't do this alone... So he ended up coming clean to Chujin about what happened. Chujin was VERY mad but figured if he helped, he could maybe get his job back. The two worked on the project and when sprouting their first soul infused crop, a cob of corn, Dalv offered to test it.

....It made him very sick.

When Dalv fell down, he had left a message to Starlo in his diary, telling him to read it after he died. He told Starlo to return the soul and shut down the project entirely. The farms are already in danger just for supposedly having some sort of illness in the crops that Dalv seemingly ate (a lie). But Starlo...... didn't listen. He felt bad that it didn't work out for Dalv and felt bad that he felt horrible about it. He wanted to do it for him. Carry on his legacy. Cling to what left he had of Dalv and what he was working on.

....But it was never meant to be.

HELLO my dearly beloveds! I know its been a FAT while since I've thrown an ask at this blog (its ok tho, because unlike my dad, I came back /JOKE) but I just cant get the utter brainrot from date 4 out of my head and I wanted to leave a couple of words (as if I wasnt yapping enough in the server)

(Spoilers for date 4, of course, Im really sorry-)

But a couple of things I wanted to point out furthermore/appreciate is the fact that:

•While Tenebris could've absolutely just used a glamor and have people's approval more that way, he doesnt- He's just his authentic self and is unapologetic about it and I think thats really neat of him (It doesnt make me any less terrified to have him end my run though)

•I still have beef w that damn squirrel and I will die on this hill, Cake was either bribed or wanted to lead us to our certain doom, but thats the hill Im dying on until I get told/proven otherwise, then I'll take my L

•The knife throwing scene with Tenebris is very neat! Its nice that he's letting us in on his hobby regardless of wether or not we do/dont have experience knife throwing!

•KEITH PLEASE FALL ASLEEP ON MY LAP PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLE- (dragged away)

•That forest fae design is very well done! Fighting for my life to not run because I know that thing will catch me, but it was a very spooky design

•KEITH is still my dearly beloved, but I think Tenebris deserves the cat title more- C'mon, he's literally out here stealing from neighbours and growling at them /silly

•On the topic of Keith, he was very polite and sweet in his own date/poly date, but if it werent for Tenebris, I wouldve absolutely socked him in Ten's date when he started talking about the privilege of dating MC /exaggerating, of course

•I was a greedy bastard and absolutely chose to kiss them both on the mouth in the poly date and dont regret it, I think its cool that this is one of the only vns I know that actually includes poly tbh
