I was just reminded that Harvey has worked with animal-assisted therapy and his kitty is named Flip. :)

Flip was also deformed as a result of a birth injury, making him a special needs kitty that makes kind of a mess when he eats, but nobody's perfect.

TL;DR : if you can feel empathy and affection towards something that looks like you, can't you have a little empathy for yourself?

ALSO i read a fanfic with a similar premise to this called So Stick Him in a Dress by redx3. Post-canon Akechi finds Akira dressed in drag at Crossroads and doesnt recognize him, shenanigans ensue, and Akira ends up railing him while still in drag. 10/10 highly recommend
