#10. What's an au you have for them?

Since them meeting at all is technically an AU i have 3 different ways that they do meet up. There's the one where Juniper ends up with the agency/adjacent to and ends up working with Reggie (have written a fic with this). The next one is Juniper surviving but basically going stealth and living as normal of a life as he can and ending up meeting Reggie through chance (most recent fic I've written). And then there's my personal favourite where Reginald "You're lucky my tracking skills are still up to snuff" Crane keeping himself busy after Phoenix was MIA and finding Juniper still alive (fic I want to write but haven't started mainly because it may end up multi chapter).

In terms of more AU canon bending taking them and putting them in a completely unrelated situation...I have a guilty pleasure Warrior Cats AU for IEYTD in general. Both JJ and Reggie have perfect warrior cats suffixes in their names already (Juniper and Crane) so they're called Junipersong (charcoal bengal) and Craneflight (tabby Norwegian forest cat). It's very silly but the amount of scenes I have in my mind for it...good lord...

Basically Juniper kissing Reggie but he like wasn't ready/fully expecting it and Juniper absolutely panicking because he thinks he's misread every interaction between them both since they got closer. oh gosh. i'm not sure, but i know it definitely WILL affect their parenting... i think at first donnie will find himself just... deferring to his partner a LOT in almost any situation because he's afraid that he'll fuck it up, because he DOESN'T feel like he understands proper boundaries or what parenting is supposed to look like, etc etc etc, and he's afraid he'll mess up. he probably reads a TON of parenting books as well because RESEARCH and will often try to pull directly from them in any situation he can, and is confused when things don't go exactly the way they were described in the text... leo i think kind of tends to flounder between being overprotective and feeling the desire to protect his son from everything and anything and wanting to overcorrect this tendency by pulling back and trying to give him as much freedom and space as possible, which sometimes leads to some... inconsistencies. there's definitely a learning curve for both of them, but they both get the hang of it eventually. they both have lovely partners and a very loving and supportive family to help them and they'll figure it out with a bit of practice.

i like to imagine them all staying very close, especially coz i'm loosely planning on them all going through the kraang-apocalypse together (and then coming through to the other side!) so i can't imagine them ever drifting too far from each other, emotionally or geographically. there's a bit of a rocky start for a lot of them, but all of the siblings end up a very tight-knit bunch.

2 — Hercules tackles and wrestles people to show affection. || Absolutely. 100%. Herc LOVES showing physical affection, and if he knows someone can handle being picked up, wrestled, and squeezed by him, he’s going to go for it. 

3 — Hercules will go feral. Watch out. || Yeah. Have you seen his berserker rage?? It’s less common these days now that he’s in therapy and in control of his emotions, but he used to be notorious for losing it. 

4 — Hercules is going to hell. || Well, he did. Multiple times. Kind of. His mortal half was sent to Tartarus when he died the first time. And 12025 Herc’s whole deal is that Zeus banished him to Tartarus for … Kissing Wolverine. 

5 — Hercules is a switch. || Very very iffy. 95% of the time he’s a top. Very seldomly will that change. If you ask nicely about his time with Queen Omphale, he might offer a story or two that will raise eyebrows. 

6 — Hercules has a knife under their bed. || More like a sword. Or spear. Or his mace. Or a gun. He has an arsenal of weapons all over his apartment. 

7 — Hercules is awful with kids. || Generally he’s great with kids. Got a soft spot for them, too. He’s probably got kids of his own scattered around the globe, and he very willingly funds his former lovers’ lifestyles (even buys them homes!), but having a relationship with whatever children he’s fathered is a different story. That’s where he’s awful with kids. It’s difficult for him even now to overcome the guilt of what happened to his kids with Megara ages ago. So he’s distant. 

8 — Hercules was dropped out of a window as a child. || Probably. He’s durable, though.

Then it was an OoT Zelda in a group, before November 2014 when I turned her indie. I've loved OoT Zelda since I was young, at first, it was solely for her beauty. As I grew older, and began to understand her character, I only loved her more.

I do like action, though I rarely get to write it. I also want to explore her extreme guilt for what happened. Let's be real, the events of OoT happened because *she* decided her dream was prophecy, and set the gears turning. It was, as she even says herself, all her fault. I feel like she's one of the most flawed Zeldas out there. Most of them are selfless, kind, completely devoted to saving everything. While OoT Zelda was similar, she's also very selfish. She sent a total stranger on a quest, she expected him to protect her while she sealed Ganon away, and even in the end. She abused her power over time to create new timelines. She didn't even ask if Link wanted to be sent back to his childhood.

Good intentioned as it was, it was selfish.

ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ?

I've made this Zelda my own, really, as we get hardly any adult Zelda canon. We get two legitimate scenes with her, and two small ones. That's it. If an idea comes to me, I'll introspect on it, and if I feel it deserving, make a headcanon post about it.

Tales of Vesperia Blurays

hello to anyone who’s scrolling the vesperia tag! I have finally gone around to digitizing other vesperia materials I possess that aren’t.. really anywhere online. (i may have put this off for at least as early as when I scanned light novel stuff)

anyway. the drive folder im providing includes: the vesperia stage play!!, the 10th anniversary party!!, tales of homeroom: tov edition!!, first strike 2019 bluray version!!

just keep in mind the following: you’ll have to download the things to watch them. you’ll most likely need to watch them through VLC media too. and they’re all unsubbed because translation is really not my forte

if you’re seeing this post and havent in any form completed/seen the game then do beware spoilers being in there, proceed with your own discretion. other than that, have fun! if anyone wants to translate these (they are all RAWs after all) please feel free to :)

-Tales of The Stage: Justice of Light and Shadow (2019). Includes disc 1 (the play itself), and disc 2 (bonus content included in the bluray itself. stuff with the actual stage actors and whatnot)

I have so many thoughts on the stage play and i consider it a worthwhile experience! its like a little treat (though the speedrun being done here to get as much main story content covered within 2.5 hours is a sight to behold LMAO) (and even then, the stage play diverts from the main story to a good degree :3c)

-Tales of Vesperia 10th Anniversary Party (2018), also known as the celebratory party that was done live with all the voice actors leading the show! it’s overall very sweet and charming. this includes 2 discs, each containing a recording of 2 different days when the party took place, if that makes sense. any other videos in the folder is the bonus segments included in the bluray too, in a similar fashion to the stage play

-Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ 10th Anniversary Edition (2019), and Yes, we do have the movie available online, but i figured i could provide the bluray version that you would get if you got the definitive edition of the game in Japan. could make use for some HD screenshots perhaps.

the plus to the new bluray: it INCLUDES a 30 minute skit present on the disc as a bonus. im also providing the menu animation for the bluray since I somehow could rip that too and it looks pretty neat (:

-Tales of Homeroom, the two tales of vesperia episodes that you could only get through, again, the first strike bluray (2019). If you’ve seen some of the tales of HR videos uploaded on youtube, then you’ll know what this is about. if not, no fret! it’s just 2 tiny episodes centered around the vesperia cast on a vacation :)

What's your favorite type of gen fanfiction? mine's grimdark.

I really don't read Gen fanfiction much, but probably suspense/horror maybe? Whatever the fuck Phantom of Truth is (warning for gore, violence, psychological torture, suspense, etc, read the tags lmao). It's an EXCELLENT Danny Phantom fic by Haiju. Love that.

Also, it's not Gen, but Pearl Stranded by SolitudeMoon--this IMMENSELY MASSIVE ficlet is AMAZING. It's uh, also incredibly violent, graphic, gory, and otherwise great. It does have romance in it as well, but it's tied together perfectly with the main story. Please PLEASE read the warnings/tags before getting into it, it's not for the faint of heart. :3c

Anyway yeah!! :D I'm not usually into Gen, but sometimes my shipping shit gets swept away by people delving into their own stuff that is divergent of canon, aka Pear Stranded for example. :3c

IV: I hope Thomas IV Arclight is very pissed that Kaito's my favorite Zexal character; surprisingly, even tho he's my kind of crazy, I'm not rly a huge fan of him in canon, but more the idea of him? If that makes sense, like I like him but he ranks surprisingly low compared to most of the cast because I wasn't too big on how his character was handled, sweats nervously V: I love you and I think you’re very a interesting character, but I really want to pull hard on your long beautiful hair sometimes because you have no right, please wear your hair in a braid again though, that was a LOOK Tron: A Yugioh Dad tm, no real feelings one way or another, but I'm glad he came around for his boys, compared to other token parents in this franchise he ranks surprisingly high! I imagine he destroys all three of them in Mario Kart

He also was never leaving Yuma's side after Astral sacrificed himself and that's gjdsklagjklgjdsklga IV: I’m torn between his duel with Nasch because he’s just such a freak how he talks sometimes, and I also love how he just… goes all out against a pair of middle schoolers, like there was never a hinge on him to begin with💀 I also love that Thomas is introduced as this celebrity, champion duelist but NEVER wins against a named character that isn't one of Yuma's background friends or in a tag with someone else gjdaskljgdklsaj, accidental cringe king V: I really like the arctic moments, specifically when he makes this face

Unpopular opinion: SWEATS I've never been shy about this fact, but I am not a huge fan of how quickly some of the Arclights' conflicts with the main cast get resolved and that really impacts how I view the Arclights' relationships with the cast gdjsaklg Like it's yugioh and cards/character popularity will always do all of the talking, there's no way you watch yugioh for great character and story writing, but like Rio could have fucking died from her duel with Thomas lmao It makes for some BANGING fanon content and like we get all of the context for why everything happens and for Thomas' motivation and guilt in general, but... if you put someone's sister into a coma in intensive care, I feel like canon should probably do a little bit more than some bickering and dueling with her brother, you know-

I'm answering this one first because I am still mulling over my Hawke thoughts and Gideon x Rodaine has taken over my whole ass brain for the past few days ajdkdk. Some of this is paraphrased from @gvnseylike bc I also showed her this ask

So it did start out with that meme where it was established that Gideon would kiss Rodaine after asking for his assistance with magic stuff. And then we moved into Tumblr dms, still mulling over the idea of Them and realizing they had some really interesting backstory parallels but like completely opposite beliefs and then it spiraled into discord bc Tumblr dms suck and now our main au of them is:

They were both in Kinloch where Gideon initiated their relationship by demanding that Rodaine tutor him and then proceeding to distract Rodaine from tutoring him by kissing him. -> they are both touch-starved sadboys who quickly fell hard for each other despite their bickering and differences (a little bit rivals to lovers >:3c) -> the events of mage origin occurred except that Gideon was privy to the plan and betrayed them to Greagoir and Irving because he was afraid of Rodaine getting hurt/killed in this escape attempt. -> Rodaine is recruited, they part on bad terms and all of origins happens pretty much as it did in my base playthrough (Including being woth Morrigan and having Kieran). Meanwhile Gideon is transferred to Ostwick where he's mostly thriving but also slightly haunted by losing Rodaine. (Extra haunted by the news of Ostagar and then following his journey closely through news and later A History of the Fifth Blight once he finds out he survived.) -> Awakening also happens as played and including my headspace canon of Rodaine hooking up with Anders on a strictly fwb basis but this time it's more embarrassing because Anders looks an awful lot like Gideon (Rodaine has Type when it comes to men and that type is blond) Anders leaves, but crucially Rodaine *doesn't* go after Morrigan and remains Warden-commander -> Gideon begins writing him letters from Ostwick, and against Rodaine’s better judgment, he replies and they strike up a rapport and remembering when they were in love. And then Rodaine makes a trip to Ostwick (usually on a whim bc Gideon reveals to him that Rodaine’s sister is also there) and ends up bringing Gideon back to Amaranthine with him as court mage bc he still has Feelings and they end up rekindling -> Gideon is invited to the Conclave to speak for the Loyalists and then DAI occurs with him as Inquisitor. Often Rodaine is hanging around Skyhold bc it is fun but also he is sometimes off looking for the cure to the calling and long-distance refereeing arguments between Gideon and Tierce. There Are awkward encounters with Morrigan when Rodaine Is around.

Overall, they're both complete messes and their relationship is fraught with disagreements, deep affection, and the development of an Andrastian kink so convoluted it loops back around from blasphemy to being blessed and condoned by Andraste herself. And I am obsessed with them. I'm sure Cole will let me know if I missed anything important and I Will absolutely be accepting further questions at this time because their dynamic is. Incredibly fun.

📌 A Few Words

I'm from Brazil and speak English as a second language. I admit sometimes my English failed me while writing this story so keep that in mind LMAO but hey, it's not like most of the characters are native speakers either soooo maybe that could help the immersion??? Lowkey???

Anyway. I started working on this story in 2023 and making this interactive game on Twitter was a very impulsive, VERY unplanned decision. I very much built most of the story as it went, so this is as raw and underdeveloped as you can get.

Many things happened in my life after the game ended and nowadays I'm in a sort of a weird spot when it comes to it. It brings me both a lot of pride and joy but also a lot of sorrow. There are many things I wanted to rework, to polish and to improve but I've also mostly fallen out of love with it and my free time to work on personal projects is severely limited.

Perhaps one day I'll revive it, but until then, I'd like to ask that my limits be respected.

📌 The Game

Every day, starting from the 13th of July 2023, the players had to collectively choose one of the main characters to be killed off. This was done simply by replying and I'd count the votes manually. Other features such as roleplaying were added later and had their own dynamics going on, but in general it was all very simple.

Glossary of roles:

Players/voters - the twitter users who directly interacted with the game, the ones responsible for voting the participants off and roleplaying with the characters, whether to try and piece together the lore or not.

Participants - characters who were eligible for being voted on.

Floor Masters - characters who served as mediators between the voters and the participants.

The Ringmaster - the mastermind behind the game (in-universe, not me!)

I usually just refer to it as YTTDTalia (I know it's kinda stupid but it stuck 😭). Death Game By Majority AU or Toonela Archive are also alternate names. As an AU it uses a lot of Your Turn to Die's concepts and structure but adapted into a Hetalia context, so it's not intended to be exactly the same as the original source.

As the story developed it did end up becoming its own thing as messy as it is right now lol.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

probably andrew, i love how he learns to find community and satisfaction in neil over the course of aftg and begins to heal

honorable mentions being kevin, i love seeing him being able to stand up for himself and know his worth, and trent crimm from ted lasso actually, i love how he went from this really jaded reporter to being a friendly, community oriented, queer role model to the team, it just makes my heart happy

E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?

no not really, but the first fic i ever published on ao3 (back in may) was one where kevin basically got kidnapped by allison and taken to a sex shop to buy lingerie which is kinda hilarious

V - Which character do you relate to most?

my top five characters i've related to over time has been: jo march, remus lupin, yuri katsuki, henry from red white and royal blue, and probably kevin day

note: i am a recovering harry potter fan, that series was my hyperfixation for over 8 years of my life so i can't get rid of the fact that it was so important to me. i fucking hate jkr and i have serious critiques of the series as a whole which i'm happy to discuss at length

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

i can't get into ofmd anymore, people were campaigning super hard to get it renewed back in oct/nov after taika waititi signed the "good on you biden" letter and it was just really off putting for me, like there is a genocide happening and you're worried about a tv show getting renewed? like i wish ofmd had gotten renewed for a third season too but i just really don't like the culture the fandom turned into in pursuit of that. it just felt really toxic and uncomfortable and i just can't really engage with the show anymore without feeling vaguely uncomfortable. this is just my take tho, no hate on anyone who still loves ofmd

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

more aaron minyard love, he deserves the world and i feel like he gets written off as homophobic or boring by a lot of the fandom which is a shame. by extension, more kevaaron. it's my favorite ship rn and i just adore them together so i wish there was more of it. i love it when people draw/write andrew as a big guy, like he's super built but also built like a brick shithouse, that's a fave

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.

idk i like most pairings or can at least see where they're coming from so there's not any i really can't get into under certain circumstances. maybe jonelias? i don't like it that much but i can see why people like it
