Ok story time

lloyd's design in my Au >:D

He is a transman in every life Except that in his first life he didn't know he was transman (He died before he had a chance to find out--)

He just didn't like his name so he changed it to lloyd

Anyway In his first life, He didn't know who his parents were or where they went. He used to live in a terrible orphanage where they forced him to work for them He tried to escape many times but failed.

Until one time, he ran away into forest and ran into a monster. before he was attacked, Kai's family were able to save him and well they were all orphans, so they wanted to help. After wiping them out and creating a new orphanage //someone else would take care of it, definitely not them--// After that, they became very close with Lloyd, so they decided to adopt him.

When he was finally free He had a dream to study about magical creatures. He always had a scroll with him, Write a diary of every magical creature he has seen and strangely enough they seemed to be interested in Lloyd as well. Oh yeah, and he died

His second life is a show. We probably don't have to talk about it much. I'll think about changing the story later-

His third life is a movie. You probably already know. He was a poor kid who was bullied by the whole town. The difference is He was born with dull green eyes like his mother and his hair is dark brown like his father. That made him hate his hair so much that he dyed it to look more like Wu.

I have more aus, I’m talk about two today.

So the first au I wanna talk about is this villain au I have. I like calling him Child in this au.

So basically Lloyd life was pretty much the same up until he got kicked out of Darkleys. He took living on the streets a lot more serious than what’s shown in the show. He didn’t taunt his title like cannon Lloyd. He stole what he needed when he needed, and was trying to lay low as to avoid being caught and put into any kind of foster care or orphanage. So he never pulled his stunt in the village that led to basically very villain. He never met the ninja until way later.

He gained the name Child because he was still really childish, and he was good at what he did. He stole and never got caught. He had a really childish but also dark laugh. He was fast and swift, and became a bit of a legend amongst normal very day criminals. He wasn’t a big bad, and he had no intention of stealing really guarded stuff like money from a bank. He wasn’t a low level thief, but he wasn’t going to risk shit.

And basically Wu asks the ninja to bring Lloyd home, as he thinks that he’s the green ninja.

So the Ninja have to try and track down this random kid who’s apparently their Master’s nephew. Big problem, no one knows where he is. He travels constantly. Using his criminal history is useless as half his crimes go unreported, so they have no idea if he’s at the city his last crime was reported or not. The ninja end up spending weeks trying to find this kid, and when they finally do. They realize. He’s fucking 12.

He did all of that at 12.

What happens when they find him? He refuses to go, and ends with them basically begging Lloyd to go. Lloyd who obviously doesn’t give two fucks about the Ninja or his “Uncle”. Lloyd also hates the ninja guts for taking away his only family member. Lloyd ends up becoming one of the Ninja’s main villains as they try to get him to reform, and he keeps refusing. He goes from a legend amongst small time criminals to one of the Ninja’s villains. At this point, the only one apart from his father. Which just gives him a worse reputation amongst civilians. And the “Child” becomes a super villain. Despite him being 12, and also having no powers (that he’s unlocked yet).

Au two: Feral!Lloyd

So basically after unlocking his Oni form and defeating the Overlord. Something is seriously off about Lloyd. He’s never zoned in, he’s a lot more clingy, he’s more cat like?, and he’s just more weird. At some point, he just stops acting human altogether. He’s basically gone feral. Both dragon and oni instincts are just his behavior. Which leads him to be really overprotective and aggressive. He’s super clingy with Nya and Kai. He hates both Garmadon and Wu for some reason. He’s constantly on all fours.

At some point he grew dragon and oni features. He’s just not human anymore. Whatever happened when he discovered his oni form just broke his mind behind repair. He basically became like a large house cat, that would eat people that tried to hurt the Ninja. And he Would growl at Wu and Garm.

Now the ninjago have to struggle with a feral Lloyd. Oh and then the merge happens. Leaving feral Lloyd. Alone. At the monetary.

Eventually Arin, Sora, and Riyu show up. They expect well normal human Lloyd. They get feral, clearly not fully human Lloyd. Which just leads to more chaos and angst. As the trio tries to gain Lloyd’s trust and eventually try and find the other Ninja. Cause they definitely can not handle feral Lloyd themselves.

A list of traits feral!lloyd has:

• He crawls on all fours all of the time. He never walks on two legs.

• He hates Wu and Garmadons guts, for reasons no one can figure out.

• He can’t speak English/Ninjagin. He only speaks in Oni and Dragon

• He loves Nya and Kai and clings to them the most (basically all of the time)

• Once Sora and Arin got his trust (he didn’t mind riyu since he’s part dragon) they became his kids. Whether they liked it or not. They’re his kids, and he’s extremely overprotective of him

• Once he completely went feral. His Oni and Dragon traits started coming in. He spent weeks coped up in his room in a blanket mountain as they grew in. It hurt like a bitch, but he refused to let anyone even close to him as it happened

• His Oni and dragon traits are: A black an green tail with lots of really fluffy brown fur on it (from the base to end on the top side), he has black and green dragon ears, golden horns, purple eyes, lots of patches of black and green scales, goat like legs that are golden (Oni trait), black clawed hands, a golden scar that stretches across his face, and really sharp teeth.

• He dyes his hair blonde in this au, but he stopped once he became feral

• He doesn’t have wings cause I say so, also I like to think at least in this au he’s an eastern dragon.

Type of childhood: Good until they had to move. He doesn't know what has happened to any of his parents, he just remembers being left at a door and told to stay still until comes out, then his mother leaving. Neither does he remember what age he was, but it was some in primary school.

Happiest memory: Picking up skills such as guitar, kissing Lloyd, his first concert.

Worst memory: Seeing his ex die of an overdose, almost getting kicked out of the orphanage.

Living situation: Spends the day doing housework at the orphanage and sleeping as much as he can, and every single night in random abandoned buildings with his friends and bandmates, or in garages and at small events performing.

Others: Born into a traditionally *Norse* community, of which his mother and siblings all moved to America from Iceland. He doesn't remember anything about them or who they were, or how to contact them, the only thing he remembers is part of the language and the hatred he feels towards his parents for abandoning him. With time, he realized that they mustve had their reasons, but he is salty for getting such an unfair chance in life. He's suppressed his roots in an attempt to fit in, trying to forget his language, not engaging in the traditions, telling himself it's all stupid. But he secretly longs for it deep down, for a sense of belonging to his ancestors.

You know what? Just for you I will grant you a fun fact: when the twins were really young (babies) Lloyd tried to abandon them at an orphanage.

He just felt like couldn’t raise two newborn’s in a world that was becoming so unfamiliar and unknown, especially when he never even asked for this, he didn’t consciously create then or ask for such a responsibility to be thrusted upon him because of a power he can’t even use anymore. All he wanted to do was search for the other ninja who were missing and figure out what was going on. In the end it was Misako who convinced him to not do it. He doesn’t regret keeping them and loves them with all his heart, they helped remind him that he was not alone, and that he has people who relied on him to push through and move forwards. He couldn’t be happier with his decision to raise his daughters himself.

Have you ever had those types of dreams that never go away until you do something about it?

Well that was me two nights ago when I had this dream about Morro and euphrasia. From the tv series Ninjago. And this is what I still remember from it.

*It is set in modern time au( basically like the ninjago movie world)

* Euphrasia is 7 years old in this world. She becomes an orphan after losing her parents in a car accident.

*Then moves to ninjago city orphanage( don’t know why) from her small city which is called cloud kingdom city ( yeah I have no idea why I thought of that name)

*Has the powers of a writer ( basically like the tv show)

*Morro is a vampire and is trying to hide from wu, Lloyd, and everyone else because he doesn’t want to deal with all the shit going on.

* Both meet when a crazy mad man named the overlord( no real name just a title)kidnaps euphrasia and tries forcing her to rewrite his story to become ruler of the whole world.

*Chaos ensues and now Morro is trying to protect euphrasia from overlord. While trying to invade his family and close friends.

And that’s all I can remember but if someone wants to write a story about this fill free to use what I got here. And let me know when you guys finish it.

Haven't even finished either story yet (just reading both at the same time and eagerly consuming spoilers - for tged since there is basically NOTHING for the sequel 😭), but I'm still thinking about what an au where Lloyd's swordsman guard is Damian and rakiel is stuck w Javier would be like...

bestie you're telling me i went from a fandom with 100k fics to one with 1k to one with 100 to one with 0 i am starving over here 😭 i think i'm literally the only one in the tag for rakiel and i don't care for twitter so tumblr is my one contact with the tged fandom at all and the situation is,,, dire,,,

y'know i had written a pretty lengthy and thoughtful response about how i think lloyd and damian would respond to each other according to their character and circumstances but then my computer turned off and i lost it so instead you get this:

they both get where the other is coming from, they understand each other perfectly. doesn't mean they have to like it!

lloyd is trying to get out from life ruining debt! he can't afford to have a knight with a high salary who demands bonuses and raises constantly! damian is coming from nigh slavery, of course he wants to have financial security in any way he can get it! they both know the worth of money, how important it is to have it and to demand what you're owed so of course they're simultaneously in the same boat while being directly opposed.

not that i'm saying lloyd is a bad boss, he's very fair and just, always paying on time (something damian actually calls rakiel out on lmao) but he's a penny pincher and likes to save as much as possible. which is something i do see damian having a bit of an issue with because one of the things he really likes about rakiel is how generous he is with people, both with his time, effort and resources despite seemingly getting nothing for himself (of course not knowing about the bonus life lol). and we know lloyd does nothing for free and is shameless about it. so their relationship would be them constantly butting heads as they both try to squeeze as much of each other as possible.

on the other hand, i think lloyd would actually have an easier time getting damian to like him than with javier actually lmao. like, let's be honest, damian isn't the paragon of virtue javier is. as long as he's getting paid and isn't being asked to, idk, burn down an orphanage, he's pretty down for anything. heck, he didn't give a shit about rakiel, the imperial crown prince, being replaced by someone else, because he liked the other guy so he wouldn't give a flying fuck about og!lloyd, recognized hooligan, being replaced by someone who actually cares about the estate he works for.

and damian would be much more direct with lloyd too. he would not keep it to himself if he knew about lloyd being kim suho, that boy would tell him the first opportune moment he got lmao now the question is whether lloyd would come clean or go total denial the way rakiel did,,,, mmmhhhh many thoughts for later,,,

and javier as rakiel's bodyguard! mmmhhhh now this au would require a lot of thought, because so many things of the plot depend of rakiel using the asrahan mana absorption method. but if we go by vibes alone and ignore all worldbuilding, the i think,,,, mmmmhhh what do i think actually,,,,

well honestly to begin with i don't think there'd be too much trouble actually. like. at all. javier is,,, javier. he's thee protagonist, he's good, he's honorable, he's all you can ask for from a main character. he gets rescued from the gladiator arena by rakiel, you better believe he'd pledge his life to him from there. and like, unless we want to make him a carbon copy of damian, then he wouldn't even ask for a big salary like damian did. he'd just stick to rakiel and protect him at all costs. we see how loyal he is in tkbi and tged, he gets saved by arcos and he never serves another master after that, he decides he wants to protect lloyd and he literally ascends to another plane of existence to do it. if rakiel rescued him, there'd be no power on earth that would make him leave his side. and that would only increase as he sees rakiel push himself over and over again to treat and save people by seemingly no reason but that he wants too (again, no one knows about the bonus life lmao). he'd push himself just as hard to be helpful to rakiel and protect him, like he does in tged with lloyd and like damian does too.

and in this particular au i don't even see him having an issue with the whole 'replaced by another person' thing. after all, in tged the point of conflict was that javier is a knigh for the frontera family, not just for lloyd. so it was technically his duty to let arcos know that someone had replaced his son, even if that someone had saved them all from total ruin. but he didn't, because he trusts lloyd and because he thought they deserved to heard it from lloyd himself first.

but in this case, javier would be rakiel's bodyguard. he isn't anything from the emperor, he isn't even a knight, heck, he never even met the real prince, as far as he's concerned he's only loyal to the rakiel he knows which is lee han. he has no reason to be conflicted because he swore loyalty to lee han and lee han is his prince rakiel.

oh and he would hate javilon's guts. utter hatred. like it's on sight for him go straight for the neck lmao

somehow i think he'd be even more protective of rakiel than he is already of lloyd. like lloyd can handle himself pretty well. rakiel can too, but he looks like a strong gust of win will blow him away. it messes with his brain chemistry a little.

and he'd take being the vessel for the demon king pretty hard. especially when he accidentally hurts rakiel. and when he gets sick. like that'd be pretty close to how damian reacts in the novel too.

as for rakiel,,,, i have a harder time deciding how he'd feel about javier. i feel like pretty much the way he does with damian?? i don't think much would change tbh. much of the banter between rakiel and damian comes from damian asking for more bonuses and rakiel complaining about it, and if javier doesn't do that then they'd have to find something else to bicker about. probably rakiel's terrible stamina lmao

Morana is the Elder by 3 years, both Accidental

Morana the result of coping mechanisms not being explained leading to teens being teens Lloyd in Moranas AU was only 17 when Morana was born Harumi 16

Morana was born just before Garmadons downfall in Season 9 Harumi dropping her off at the Safe Box at the local Orphanage. The Matron instantly knew though with the unusual features who the babe most likely belonged to.

In season 11 during the months that ensued after Zane was freed from Vexes control Lloyd and Akitas sides got close. The Wolf and Oni taking over at one point leading to Lukas existence Lloyd still returning to Ninjago not knowing that his Son would be born 7 months after.

After the Merge Akita had to seek Lloyd out due to clashing with a fellow Realm the Formlings needing a place to settle, her and Harumi clashed at first only because Akita had heard of what Harumi had done to Lloyd and wasn't having it.

Luka and Morana, though, got along just fine as Brother and Sister

NINJAGO Experimented AU!

Warning, this might be sensitive or capable to trigger some viewers.

Basically, in this AU there is no prophecy of the Green Ninja to go along it. When Lloyd was young, he was dropped off at an orphanage. When he was five, he was handed to the authorities because he was ‘too dangerous’. It was a ploy just to test his blood and the capabilities of a Garmadon. They experimented on him with various chemicals until his powers destabilized and brought forth his Oni and Dragon heritage traits. Due to this, they had to procrastinate their project- known as A-7- and put him into confinement; that is, until they illegally sold him through the black market to the Jade Princess (Aka Harumi). The main plot begins in the Sons of Garmadon rule, when hunting for the Resistance members; instead of appointing and introducing Mr. E to Garmadon, Harumi introduces Lloyd (in this AU he is known as A-7) and he is tasked to hunt down the resistance.

The Pilot season goes the same, Wu recruiting the Original Four, but there is one more addition to the team, Morro. He is a lot younger in this AU compared to the cannon. Wu takes him under his wing and raises/trains him as his son. Morro is the Green Ninja, but since there is no prophecy of the Green Ninja in this AU, he is still the elemental master of Wind. The five work alongside each other to defeat Garmadon and put an end to his dark rule, but he escapes to the Shadow Realm as in the Pilots. Pythor escapes his tomb after 40 years of imprisonment, and unleashes the other 4 tribes, leading in the Great Devoverer incident. Garmadon comes back to Ninjago to save it because only he, dare he say, has the right to conquer it. After the serpent’s defeat, he runs away with the weapons and succeeds to craft the Mega Weapon like in the show. He is defeated and the Mega weapon is destroyed, but since it has the power to create, it purifies Garmadon along it. Season 3 doesn't happen and Garmadon takes the role of Sensei. In the second serpentine war- just like in the show- sacrifices himself to save Ninjago. The plot carries on the same but instead of Lloyd, Morro is in place of him. The storyline then alters itself again in season 9.

Lloyd is trained to be a Bio-Weapon, having been ‘programmed’ to obey his master at all costs. He still has his Energy element and the Oni Power, but the Golden Power is taken away like in the series.

I came up with this au as a "joke" for a vent but I ended up liking a lot

Somethings are actually very different

Wu and Lloyd are aro/ace

Garm is kind alike his movie self where he fully looks like his four armed self and kinda fully looks like that, so basically him and Misako fall in love and have a baby, but Garm's incubus powers are kinda corrupting and killing Misako since she wants to put Lloyd in an orphanage. Garm doesn't agree with this at all so he steals Lloyd and hides and Wu's place, Morro was already taken in, so Garm and Morro go on an adventure to who knows where, but Morro dies, Garm retreats to Wu and explains. G feels like he failed as a caretaker and owes Wu so he leaves Lloyd with him and goes to the underworld to try and save Morro. Doesn't work, seduces Skulkin, leaves, slays at ruling the Madness realm, leaves, Ninjago stuff happens except Garm is there and he's a bit more... uh... touchy we'll say (NOT WITH THE NINJA)

And yeah!

During the oni trilogy, the SoG are a full on cult, but Garm owsnt need reviving, instead I was thinking they try reviving Morro but idk

Misako shows up this season and Garm expresses how he can no longer love her, then proceeds to realize Vinny's in love with him

The oni trilogy is as far as I got, but I could develop more stuff if it's cool!

Also if things didn't make sense or if you want more detail, just ask!

Personally, I think that Misako is an okay mom in canon. Was sending her kid to Darkley’s the best descision in the world? Probably not, but considering the fact that there is only like 1 other school mentioned in Ninjago and orphanages don’t seem to be a thing, it’s probable she didn’t have many other options (since Wu probably would be mourning Garmadon and would struggle to care for Lloyd and she probably didn’t have contact with the other elemental masters due to not being one). She did get better in later seasons, and she does try to be a good mom for Lloyd.

However, I can sort of understand why people like to make her a bad mom in fanfic. She’s a convenient person to use as an antagonist, either with her being intentionally malicious or accidentally causing Lloyd pain. This is also true with Garmadon, especially later seasons. This feels especially true with alternate universes, excluding the movie. I don’t think you should be forced to accept that, but it’s what I have gathered after talking to some people who write bad!Misako fanfic.

I don’t want to tell you what you should take from this, but I think that it’s interesting how people are willing to twist a character to be very out of character for the sole purpose of making them an antagonist. Feel free to ignore this.

Even when making stuff for family au with Lar, Maya and Ray, I'm constantly asking myself "is this in character? Or is this too much? Is my hatred of him distorting how he would act?"

Even with Garmadon I'm like that. And he's a very convenient person to make an extreme antagonist.

I care about people coming onto others posts and being awful

I care about people tagging hate posts with the main tags. Not making any effort to hide it from search results

And im allowed to be upset that my favourite characters are often twisted and demonised and barely resemble themselves in fanworks. Not saying that's not what you're saying, but. I don't know.

OKAY so in my morro betrays the ninja au, basically is everything up to the moment they get all the golden weapons is the same (i havent actually finished the pilots and i never managed to kickstart my brain into watching it so,, take it with a grain of salt) except he trains with the ninja and there is no competition or secrecy with the prophecy, cause everyone expects morro to be the green ninja. when they do get all the golden weapons they all gather around for the Big Green Ninja Reveal and,, its not morro. of course hes devestated but we have a chance for some nice family moments TM. and then everything up to lloyd being the green ninja is the same so we CAN have green cousins bonding and then later green cousins angst 😌😌 and then maybe if were keeping with canon then he does leave to prove himself and then fucking dies

but if we want to stick with canon then i do like your idea of a really young morro showing up at the monastary like canon and then leaving before the ninja show up. mmm but how would that work does he run away?? get taken?? maybe they got sent to an orphanage or something and morro somehow left or got taken. and then i guess kai got old enough to leave the orphanage and took nya with him back to the blacksmith.

with morro everything goes like in the show with the wind and the prophecy ,, oh but the golden weapons are already hidden by then arent they?? theres no way for him to prove he wasnt the green ninja

so the only possible course is he trains with the ninja and finds out with them. but now theres the option of morro either being raised by kai if he stays at the blacksmith or wu if he shows up at the monastery. and i DO like your idea again of them not remembering each other as siblings if were going with him staying with wu. i dunno how they would find out yet so thats pending

if he does stay with wu then he COULD have known about lloyd at a young age. i think nyas about 14/15 in the pilots and lloyd about 11 or 12 in s1 soo it could work if morro is nyas twin. yeah okay so morro met lloyd when he was born maybe and im assuming lloyd got shipped off the darkleys at a pretty young age so he does only remember morro through photos. cause if we go the "morro finds out he isnt the green ninja with everyone when they collect the weapons" route then morro would have left before the ninja met lloyd in s1

hmm how would he react to lloyd being the green ninja he probably would show up at the bounty tbh. i dont know if hes gonna throw hands with the middle schooler but yk we'll think about it more

im not gonna lie to you i dont think misako would ever see fit to leave lloyd with wu under any circumstances 💀💀 cause she said she knew he would be the green ninja and sticking him in an evil school is a pretty surefire way of not completing the prophecy (FUCK as i was typing that out i realized that could have been another reason she left him there. im gonna edit my misako rant from weeks ago)

if we stick with canon again then he does go off and die and s5 continues as normal (but with more feelings heaehehheaheheghe) but if we want good morro then he could show up from time to time like that one kid in the pokemon games who doesnt stop bugging you to fight them (ive never played any pokemon game a day in my life so youre gonna have to trust me on this) but hes like 20 times more deadly cause hmhm perfectionist trained to be the green ninja and then AGAIN I LIKE YOUR IDEA of them teaming up in s5 and accepting the whole green ninja thing and WU REASSURING HIM thats literally all i want from the show. MAYYBEE this is his full potential arc

if he does sacrifice himself at the end of s5 then ig he comes back in dotd with cole. if he doesnt then we get the typical morro redemption arc but slightly to the left cause they KNEW him and they were FRIENDS but they tried to KILL EACH OTHER at some point in time so yeah thats kinda awkward

we can get a whole bonding thing with the team and siblings 🥰🥰 them falling back into old habits from before he left and kai and nya and morro subconsciously doing little things from their childhood before morro left, like humming a certain song and knowing which part is morros and which is nyas, or having to sit on kais left at the dinner table. maybe morro makes a face and nya just knows the judgmental "what the fuck" is shooting through his head. could get some green cousins in too,, morro knows what specific thing lloyd liked and lloyds like "that was 14 years ago how the FUCK do you now that" lloyd could like instinctively slap morro on the back of the head when he wants to get his attention cause he used to slap his arm before he could reach shoulder punching height, so he got used to reaching as high as he could to hit, and unfortunately that means morros head. ABSOLUTELY he and nya are menaces i do not take criticism

Runaway AU!

This AU basically takes place where Lloyd and Morro age is closer to each other, Lloyd is 7 and Morro is 12.

Morro had ran away from the orphanage he was living in. He met Wu while trying to dug his garbage bin, but left after Wu gave him food (they'll meet each other again dw).

At a similiar time, Lloyd left Darkleys and was living in the street. One day, he was trying to steal a bread but get caught by yhe shop owner. When he was interrogated, he saw Morro stole easily, so he asked Morro to be his servant but Morro ofc refused. But Lloyd like a lil gremlin he is followed Morro around until Morro couldn't take it and gave him half of the bread.

Few days later, Lloyd steal the candies and met with the ninja. Same thing happen in canon, Lloyd got hang in the pole. Morro saw this and feel sympathy with him lol. He helped him get down and because he knew Lloyd have zero percent of survival, Morro took Lloyd into his adventure >:D

This is a rough time line (backstory-pilots) for my Darklys Kai au. Here is the link to the first post I did talking about it. Thank you to @randomness227 and @master-of-fluff for giving me some ideas.

Ray and maya get kidnapped——>Kai and nya get sent to an orphanage—-> nya gets adopted by her new moms, Kai gets left behind——-> orphanage gets sick of Kai being a bad kid and ship him off to darklys——>Kai builds a reputation for being a jerk at darklys—->lloyd is abandoned at darklys by misako—-> Kai takes Lloyd under his wing—-> few years later kai leaves darklys and starts wandering ninjago doing small crimes—-> wu goes to find kai like in the pilots but finds nya instead because she was visiting the forge with her moms——> wu cryptically asks where Kai is and about how he needs to find him(without using Kai’s name) then leaves——>Nya is confused but ignores him and goes back to doing what ever she was doing——> the skeletons arrive and start looking for the map—->Nya tells her moms to stay inside and takes an old sword and attempts to fight the skeletons but wu intervenes when she starts loosing——> the skeletons book it and attempt to take Nya but her moms push her out of the way and get captured instead——->wu offers to train her—->pilots proceed as normal but Nya takes Kai’s place—->meanwhile kai hears roomers about how a group of ninjas fought against lord garmadon and hears about a girl with short black hair that’s name is Nya——>he starts looking for her

That’s what I have so far might add more later but I really need to rewatch season one before I do that so I can be consistent with cannon stuff.

not my idea, but for the ninjago drabbles, could you do a Jade prince Lloyd au (loyd and Harumi role swap) if you're comfortable with it?

Oh I've heard of this one too! I'll give it a go! Okay, I'm going to do the scene where Lloyd and Harumi first bonded--when she was giving food out to the poor. But naturally, since this is a role swap, I'll change it up a bit. Hope you like it!

Harumi gasped as she entered the prince's chambers. It was in disarray, with pillows thrown on the floor and a bench toppled over. The doors had been flung open, the curtains whipping in the chilly night wind.

"They've taken the prince!" she exclaimed as she rushed to the edge of the balcony.

She scanned the curved rooftops, desperate to find any trace of the kidnapper. She spotted a hooded figure a couple buildings over with a burlap bag in their hands.

She narrowed her eyes and yanked on her emerald hood. "I've got you."

Then she flipped over the railing and onto the roof below.

As soon as Harumi's feet made contact with the tile, she was off. She dashed across the roofs, the neon signs of the city becoming a blur as she sprinted past. She didn't hesitate as she came across a particularly large gap, using a burst of airjitzu for a boost.

But the kidnapper was skilled. They didn't waver as they ran across the edge of buildings fifty feet high. They jumped off a roof and started scaling the railings of a fire escape like it was nothing.

Harumi gawked. Just who was this--?

She yelped as the tile slipped from underneath her. She started sliding down, down, down, unable to stop. She fell off the roof and squeezed her eyes shut, preparing herself for a nasty fall.

But the collision never came. Someone grabbed her hand and yanked her up to safety, setting her down on the cement.

Harumi shook her head and gazed up at her rescuer. "Thank y--" It was the kidnapper!

She jumped back and got into a defensive position. "Who are you?!" she demanded.

The figure bashfully flipped back his green hood, revealing...

"Prince?" Harumi exclaimed, lowering her guard. "Wha--you're not being kidnapped?"

The prince let out a laugh. "No! Though, um, I can see how it seemed that way..."

She sighed in relief. This prince was turning out to be quite the handful. "What's in the bag anyway?"

"Oh!" The prince opened the sack, revealing food and...a soccer ball?

"Who're these for?" Harumi questioned.

A mischievous sparkle alighted in the prince's eyes. "Why don't I show you?"

The prince led Harumi down a fire escape, grabbing a jacket for her on the way to "disguise herself." She did have to admit he pulled together a decent disguise. That green hoodie totally concealed his shaggy blonde hair.

She tugged on the black leather jacket with a frown. It was just...too edgy for her, what with the spikes on the shoulders and all. But it covered her gi well, so she would take it.

Before she knew it, the prince had stopped outside a particularly nasty alley. Garbage cans littered the sides of the moldy walls, and rats scampered amongst the damp newspapers. It was the last place Harumi would expect anyone to coop up in, much less children.

Yet here half a dozen of them were, trying to play games with broken bottles.

Harumi's breath hitched in her throat. "Why..."

"Are we here?" the prince finished. "To give them this."

The bag thudded onto the ground, drawing the attention of the children. They looked at the noise and beamed, before rushing over to them.

They know him," Harumi thought, watching as the children giggled and tugged at the prince's clothes. He's done this before.

Once the children had gobbled down the food, Lloyd dropped the soccer ball on the ground. It bounced back up, and he expertly dribbled it on his foot before kicking it away. The children chased after it, giggling in glee.

"These children are from the orphanage down the road," the prince explained. "But they get next to none funding...the least I can do is fill their stomachs and give them my time."

Harumi gazed at the prince, her respect for him growing. There was much more to him than she thought.

The prince nudged her with a mischievous grin. "Well, don't just stand there. Let's play some ball!"

She spluttered, "But--but I've never--"

"Don't tell me the Green ninja's scared of a soccer ball," he taunted.

"Of course not!" she protested. "Fine. Let's do this."

It went as badly as Harumi expected it would. Despite all her ninja training, she found it extremely difficult to juggle the ball from one foot to another. And when she did manage to get it, she would kick it too hard away from her. More often than not, it would skid to a player from the other team.

The prince, on the other hand, was a natural. He weaved between the players like it was a dance, dodging fumbling kicks to get the ball away from him. But before the children could get too discouraged, he would always let them take it back, either by letting them seize it or "accidentally" kicking it the wrong way.

Panting, Harumi leaned against the wall. She couldn't stop the smile that crept across her face as the prince high-fived a kid who had just scored a goal. He noticed her by herself and jogged over.

"Tired already, huh?" he teased.

"No," she shot back, before slumping with a groan. "Okay, maybe."

She stared at the kids dashing around before hesitantly asking, "Why do you do it?"

The prince's expression grew serious. "Because it's the only way I can help. At least, until I become...king or whatever. But I feel like this is the best way to help, by being with the people. Not cooped up in some palace."

He looked out at the children, at their grimy faces and malnourished bodies. "These kids need the help most of all."

Harumi's heart squeezed. Because she remembered how she used to be one of those kids, not too long ago. All alone in Darkley's, then trying to "terrorize" villagers with no parental figures in her life...

She could've used someone like the prince then.

"Hey," she said softly, drawing the prince's attention. "I think what you're doing...it's incredibly selfless. You're helping just as much as me and the other ninja do. Prince, I--"

"Please," the prince interrupted with a smile. Unbeknownst to Harumi, hatred flickered within the depths of his dark brown eyes.

"Call me Lloyd."
