Tumblr media
안녕하세요 여러분! 오랜만이에요!! Hello everyone! It's been a while. I've been experimenting with different methods on learning Korean recently and one of the things that have helped me the most is having conversations with natives on HelloTalk and Instagram. I highly recommend meeting people around your age to start a conversation. You can pick up a bunch of cool slangs (줄임말 - abbreviated words and 속어 - slang) ! Here's just a few for you guys to use and enjoy! Note: There is some profanity ^^;

||Kabbo
The oldest (~55) and most knowledgeable of the /Xam-ka !ei collaborators, he stayed with Bleek and Lloyd from February 1871 and October 1873. He came from a place known as the "Bitterpits" (//Xara-//kam) and was a member of the "Flat Bushmen" (Ss’wa ka !kui) that lived in an extremely flat area of /Xam-ka !au.
Although I will refer to him primarily as //Kabbo he had three names; two names in /Xam and one in Dutch. //Kabbo means dream, and is the partial reason for the name of this blog. His second name /Uhi-ddoro meant smoking tinderbox and had a specific religious connection to the /Xam-ka !ei god /Kaggen. His last name Jantje Tooren had no meaning and was simply a name that the settlers could pronounce.
//Kabbo came from a long line of !gi:ten (singular: !gi:xa), a word translated as sorcerer by Bleek and Lloyd but today is probably more aptly translated as Shaman. His son-in-law, /Hang≠kass'o, described him as a /kaggen-ka !kwi, in English a mantis's man; in other words, his power was derived from Mantises, one of the more powerful animals that !gi:ten could gain their power from due to their connection with /Kaggen. His Mantises specifically would assist him with the weather as //Kabbo was a !gi:xa of the rain (one of the four forms of !gi:ten).
//Kabbo was frequently associated with another !gi:xa known as /Kaunu, a rains man (!khwa-ka !kwi), who's full name translated to Rain's New Grass (!Khwa-ka /kaunu) and New Grass Leg (/Kaunu lkwa). He was described as //Kabbo's "person", someone he had a close relationship with, and he was //Kabbo's father's person too. He was the one who taught them both about the rain. He would be killed by his Grandson after a disagreement, a moment //Kabbo would relay to B&L.
He would arrive at their house at Mowbray after being imprisoned at Breakwater Convict Station for the stealing of cattle, with a sentence of two years. Although slavery had been abolished in 1833, the imprisonment of native peoples in colonized lands would allow it to effectively continue as they worked in the hot sun in chain gangs.
Luckily for //Kabbo half of his sentence was served through assisting B&L in their compilation of the /Xam language and culture. He would go on to contribute over the largest number of narratives, at over 3000 pages, and would eventually leave to Victoria West where he would find his wife. //Kabbo enjoyed the idea that the traditions of his people would at least be documented and saved for future generations but before he could return he died in Vanwyksvlei on the 25th of January.
"You know that I sit waiting for the moon to turn back for me, that I may return to my place, that I may listen to all the people's stories when I visit them; that I may listen to the stories they tell They listen to the Flat Bushman 's stories from the other side of the place. Those are the stories they tell They are listening to them while the sun becomes a little warm.
That I may sit in the sun, that I may, sitting, listen to the stories that come there, stories that have come from a distance. I feel that people of another place are here — they do not possess my stories. They do not talk my language. They visit their like, while they feel that work's people they are, those who work, keeping houses in order.
As for me I am waiting that the moon may turn back for me, that I may set my feet forward in the path. I am only waiting for the moon that I may tell my master that now I should sit among my fellow men, who walking meet their like. They are listening to them; for, I do think of visits, that I ought to visit. That I ought to talk to my fellow men."

Cas and His Future
So... i may or may have not just cried for over an hour thinking about Cas. you know as you do. And then i got to thinking. The main plot of the angles in season 13 is them wanting Jack cause they are running short on angles. Cause you know of all the shizz that has happened to them. Cas did have to do with (it breaks my heart just to say this.) most of the death with angles.
So now I have made, what the angles are doing, clear. Lets think here together. We all know that the writers are “evil people”. So i am scared that they might kill of all the angles but Cas to have Cas as the lone survivor. And WE KNOW that Cas is going to be pretty upset. “Why?” some of you may ask. “The angles are awful people to Cas why would he care if they were all gone.”Great questions random person on Tumblr. The answer I have is that is True but not true. Sure the Angles have been awful to him but... they are still kind of his family. He has been with these angles for 4 billion years. FOUR FREAKING BILLION YEARS. SO DON”T TELL ME HE DOESN'T CARE FOR THEM BECAUSE HE DOES. Still don’t think so. Well here think of this. a Veteran who fought in war. Now think that this Veteran is sitting alone at a bar because all of his fellow comrades have fallen. He is the last one who ever was really there at war. See same with Cas. Cas does care for Sam and Dean SO MUCH but they were not there for the countless number of wars he has fought. You know who were there tho.. THE FREAKING ANGLES. SO NOW I AM GRABBING ON FOR MY DEAR LIFE BECAUSE I AM SCARED THAT CAS MIGHT BE ALONE AND SAD AND SURVIVOR GUILT AND MIGHT SEND HIM OVER THE EDGE.
Now this next part is kinda of Sad to think about but what if the “Cosmic Consequence” From Billie is that she won’t let Cas die. That doesn’t mean he is unstoppable. But like every time he dies he comes back. And that is his punishment is living in a world were he is a lone and scared. And he can’t escape.
SO yeah that is what i spent about an hour crying about today hope i can bring the same pain to you.
HAPPY SCROLLING :)

안녕하세요 Dreamling 들! Hello Dreamlings! An action verb is anything someone or something does. For example, to eat, to see, and to drink.  In this lesson you’ll learn about what a verb is – specifically action verbs –  and how to use them.
일어나다 to wake up
샤워하다 to shower
양치하다 to brush teeth
화장하다 to put on makeup
가다 to go
일하다 to work
공부하다 to study
놀다 to play
쇼핑하다 to shop
운동하다 to exercise
요리하다 to cook
마시다 to drink
먹다 to eat
보다 to see
자다 to sleep
청소하다 to clean
생각하다 to think
걱정하다 to worry
Now, we can form simple sentences. Remember that Korean sentences follow the structure SUBJECT, OBJECT, VERB. Here’s an example: “저는 케이크를 먹어요.” I eat cake.
Sometimes, a noun can be separated from the verb and be used by itself. For example, 공부 from 공부하다 can just mean study while 걱정 from 걱정하다 can just mean worry/worries. This way, you can say “you have many worries” instead of “you are worrying”. Therefore,  걱정하다 can also be written as  걱정를 하다 as  걱정  is a noun itself.
I hope you enjoyed this lesson! See you in the next one! 다음에 또 봐요!

How to study vocab lists (effectively!)
안녕하세요 여러분~드디어! 저는 왔습니다! Hello everyone~ Finally! I’m back. Today I made an infographic on how to better utilize vocabulary lists. I've seen a bunch of Korean vocabulary lists floating around Tumblr for a while and I decided that it would be helpful to make an infographic because many people often seem to scroll through these types of posts mindlessly without using them in a way that can help them learn and make connections to their existing knowledge. Instead of reading each term once and forgetting them after an hour, by incorporating it and repeatedly referring back to the vocabulary and other methods, you can memorize the words much faster. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
P.S. Tell me how you’ve been in the comments! (In Korean, of course :) )
P.P.S. Lesson requests are still open! Click here to learn how!
