Let me start by saying that my sinuses are kicking my BUTT! However, I wanted to give you and update on experience with the Melanin Haircare Twisting Cream. So... thus far I have used this product in lieu of my own Shea butter concoction. As a result I’ve not used my homemade flaxseed gel. As for today my head is hurting so yesterday as my situation began to decline I decided to put my hair in a ponytail. To my surprise I did not need to use gel. My hair is moisturized and the texture feels great. Recently I had the pleasure of snatching two custom handmade throw blankets from the lovely @jaylas.handmade.corner. I met her and her mom on a poetry zoom meeting that a friend invited me to. Jayla is the sweetest little girl. When someone mentioned her candles I went to her page to check her out. When I saw her handmade blankets, immediately I thought of hot cocoa on a cold winters day under a warm blanket. 🤔🤔 Now that we got matching pj’s we gotta make this happen. On rainy and hazy days! It’s the little things that brighten your day. The sun came out so that I could take this picture. Too bad my hair is not combed. So my wash day begins with a pre-poo and detangling. I use my detangling brush which is always my star and measure for shedding. I use my melanin 7in1 as a pre-poo and may include some rice water depending on how my hair’s doing. Wash with my melanin shampoo. Condition and deep condition with my aunt Jackie’s Coco Repair. I apply my oil concoctions to my wet hair and scalp. The light colored mixture goes on my scalp and the darker directly to my hair. Then I add my Quench leave-in to my hair. Now it’s time for my twist cream and flaxseed gel. I shingle both of these items into my curls.
