The Ghosts of Our Past

They say when you don’t learn a lesson it will come back to haunt you, well at least it will arrive in some form to remind you of it. I feel the last few years of my life have been this, there have been moments of repeating patterns, people or thoughts that have lead me to places I don’t want to be. I have taken that step through expecting something different, something new. The same things have always happened. 

What I have learn’t is how to read myself and those situations. How to say no to things that no longer serve me. Moving away from everything I knew has been a challenge. Some days have been easy. Others have been hard and felt impossible but I did it. I packed my whole life away into neat little boxes and decided to say fuck it to the things I no longer wanted and although I am heading back there to be with my partner I would do it all over again.

Unapologetically Me

Finally!!! This whole day has been enlightening. I realized that I don't have to do anything but me myself. Don't have to be witty or do what makes other people happy. Saying what people expect me to say. Setting goals I have no interest in attaining. Hanging around people that irritate the crap out of me. Excepting behavior that most people would not even tolerate. For what? Screw it all. I don't like to drink. Being inappropriate, loud, and obnoxious isn't who I am. I'm always early. Can't stand watching most dramas. Love MMA, Marvel and anime. Potty humor cracks me up! (In appropriate situations.) I am polite and respectful towards everyone. Doing my best is always my standard. I will not put off work because everyone else is doing it. Why is it weird to have a work ethic? I will never stop striving to grow and get better. I'm not less of a person because I don't have a degree. Gossip, angst, and backstabbing is for the birds. Will I make mistakes? Hell yes!! Everyday! I'm human. It's time to live on my own terms. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌. It's ok to say no or nod and do what I want anyway. Nobody can live this life for me.
