ADDENDUM: Trying to understand the Aux Tresors novels without actually reading the novels in question(?).

While I am still not in the possession of any pfs, scans, or screenshots of the Aux Tresors novels, a certain movie's book adaptation by the same author who wrote the Aux Tresors novels has, recently and miraculously, come into my digital possession after some investigation. (despite all the e-begging I do, the only way I have been able to find anything is research of insanely obscure piracy sites. No sugardaddies for poor old Ronik, yet...)

Self-evidently, I will be attempting an illegal and unsolicited translation of it into at the very least broken english, the second I have the free time to actually commit to that — but do understand it is a literal novel, and I did not have the willpower to translate my own lore videos into russian. (Considering the uni... even my futile attempts to do that will not be happening soon. LOL.)

Either way, when I have the time to get around to that, I will be liveblogging it as I attempt to translate it. (I mean... it would be a shame if I had to google translate it for liveblogging purposes, and then DIDN'T save those translations for other people to use.)

I will say, as much as I'm excited for what they've announced, I miss the style of Minecraft live announcements where they announced, well, the update, and gave us the theme and a LOT more to look forward to

Like the original caves and cliffs Minecraft live. I feel like since then and since they decided to split the update in two they've kinda backpedelled on the scope of updates, but also on the scope of announcements. While I get wanted to keep hype up over time, Minecraft live has always been the major point of hype where we get a lot to look forward to.

I don't wanna seem ungrateful but I'm not a big fan of how they did it with the recent update where things get announced over time. I love having a lot to look forward to instead of one structure, one mob and a few blocks.

And like one structure is cool!!! But Idk. I prefer knowing the theme and knowing everything to look forward to. I'm still excited but I miss how the announcements went before

Hi! I just wanted to say that I really appreciate that you still liveblog the qsmp because due to recent events I find it difficult to watch any stream for long, and I feel like looking at the tag will cause me unecessary stress, so seeing your posts helps keep me up to date!

thats a video, btw, its apparently the same/similar to the first QSMP trailer that released when the server was first announced. I didnt join till later so i cant like attest to this but its the same vibe from what ive seen. It shows someone walking up, sitting in the chair and text flashes on our screen "20 YEARS LATER", before the little screen starts playing the "welcome to isla quesadilla" intro video to the person in the chair.

Alongside this, Yangdding (if you dont know her shes a korean creator on the server) accidentally vague leaked about something special happening on the 25th, which is a similar date to the one shown.

Because of all these things, as well as some CCs wrapping up their character lore, tumblr (and i assume twitter but i dont go on twitter) are theorizing its going to be some kind of server reset/season 2/set up for a time loop scenario.

I personally support the time loop scenario, because various character stories and cc's (Fits story with madagio, as well as offhand comments by cc!bad, phil and foolish) support that this island is an ongoing, looping experiment.

Its not a foolproof theory, as there are some ties not tied up yet (such as leo and pepito still being up and active on the QSMP) but either way, everyone generally seems to remain nervouscited (nervous and excited) about the event, and the ghosties and tubblings are sticking with whatever bad and tubbo do.

Today is the one year anniversary of the day after the swarm tour ended, which also makes it the one year anniversary of this blog. For the most part, there are no more scheduled posts in the queue.

A couple of dates had already passed by the time I could verify them - I will schedule these as they come up, as well as making posts for anything new I find, updates/corrections to existing posts, and new events or releases. My inbox will stay open for any requests for dates to be added, as well as any corrections or sources to be added (thank you to the people who have sent these through in the past!). I'm not currently planning on scheduling reblogs of existing posts for future anniversaries, but I'm open to it if enough people would like that :)

I'm going to get a bit sappy now, so this last bit is really optional reading material. I truly wasn't expecting this blog to be anything more than some silly fun when I made it, but reading through people's memories of shows, releases and announcements in the tags has been more touching and meaningful than I expected. My Chemical Romance is a band, but like most things worth caring about My Chemical Romance is also an idea built out of human connection and shared experiences. The swarm era would never have meant as much as it did without every person who reached out a hand to share a piece of what MCR means to them, through their tags or art or jokes or song covers or archives or webweaves or 3am liveblogs of 12 pixel instagram livestreams. The people have spoken! The YouTube Premiere of the Ghost Story concert will be this Wednesday, 7/24 at 8 PM EST on the Melliot YouTube channel!

Two love stories between Chinese American and Polish American men haunt the same Montana ranch house — one century apart. As past and present intertwine, the lovers confront long-held fears in their quest to determine if they love one another for the right reasons.

GHOST STORY is a new musical exploring queer interethnic intimacies between working-class immigrants in the early Mountain West, as well as the complicated racial past of modern gay relationships. Through a story about love, culture, and identity, the show asks: In making meaning from the overwhelming tragedies of queer history, how do we balance seeking truth and beauty?

Yes! The current plan is to leave the video up on the Melliot YouTube channel after the premiere for you to watch at your leisure. If you're liveblogging/posting about it after the show, we are asking folks to use the tag #ghost story spoilers for the first 48 hours after the premiere so people who can't make the premiere can avoid getting spoiled if they don't want to be!

What's the difference between a concert vs a staged reading vs a production?

This is a concert of songs and some scenes! We only had 1 hour of time to present, and the musical itself runs about 1:45, so we had to summarize some songs and scenes instead of performing them, but you should be able to follow the plot from the performance.

The Princeton video of Adamandi is a full production (with lights, costumes, staging, sound, a band, etc.) Princes was a staged reading (with blocking and costumes, but actors are holding scripts and there is only a piano and drums.) The video of Ghost Story will be a concert/reading (with actors at music stands, a piano, and stage directions read out loud instead of actually performed.) We hope to use this video is part of our materials towards getting a full production of Ghost Story someday!

Can I listen to Ghost Story on Spotify/Apple Music/my streaming service of choice?

Yes! There is a live album picked from the concert recordings that will be dropping at 8 PM EST on Wednesday. Presave it here!

OFFICIAL REWATCH PARTY SCHEDULE

Hello Sniggles, Nighthawks, PEIP Agents, and even the occasional Timberwolf (we see you, Paul Matthews)! It's been a long time, much longer than I'd hoped, but the results to Blinky's survey have been tallied and I can now announce the Official Watch Schedule for Blinky's Rewatch Party!!

The schedule for Round 2 will be released sometime in April, though there are no plans to deviate from the current Saturday times.

HOW CAN WE WATCH ALONG?

I'm glad you asked! There will be multiple ways to participate in the Watch Parties.

Here on Tumblr, we will be using the tag "Blinky's Rewatch Party." You can use the tag to liveblog your Watch party experience, or wait until the story is over to post any and all thoughts at once. If you can't make either of the chosen times, that's okay! The tag's not going anywhere; simply watch and post your thoughts whenever you can. And remember to check out the tag to see what other people are saying!

We will also be hosting the Watch Parties on Twitter, with the hashtag "#BlinkysRewatchParty." This site will work much the same way--you can livetweet your thoughts or just wait until the end to post anything you want; it's flexible for however you best like to watch.

We also strongly encourage people to use the Youtube comments section of the episodes themselves; the more comments we leave, the more the Langs will know that we're still invested in Nightmare Time and desperately want some more.
