a few quiet moments from 2024🩷

i can confidently say it was the best year of my life (mentally at least). i started 2024 fresh out of inpatient care, adjusting to mood stabilizers and antipsychotics. i probably wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for those. i went through a bad breakup in march and it opened my eyes to all the life that i was not allowing myself to live. i started taking better care of myself, not because i felt i had to but because i wanted to. i had my gallbladder removed in may and finally stopped puking up everything i ate. i got really into hiking, saw so many beautiful things, and cherished every minute with my loved ones. i turned my college gpa around and even got all a’s in the fall semester. i didn’t go to the psych ward for an entire calendar year!!!! i learned a lot this year, and i am so proud of all the progress i’ve made. the most important thing i did this year was learn to appreciate myself and be alone. my goals this year are to be content with myself and to not pick up any new hobbies but improve on my current ones. i can’t say that i’m optimistic about 2025 but we’ll see i suppose. i don’t think my personal growth will matter much when the world crumbles around me.
