Trust and Love - Chapter 4: Boys will be Boys

“Vin? Is everything ok?” Ricky asked when he opened the door to his hotel room to see a very angry drummer standing on the other side. His question was answered when he was shoved backwards and the door was kicked shut. Olivia had gone home for a couple days to deal with some family stuff, so the guitarist had a room all to himself. “Woah. Vin-“ His words were cut off as he was shoved to the bed and his mouth was claimed in a needy lustful kiss. Ricky rolled them around so Vinny was under him and pinned his hands above his head. “I don’t mind helping you out, but you have got to tell me what’s got you so riled up.” The drummer groaned and flopped back onto the bed.
“Sorry. I’m just so furious. This fucking dumbass has been stalking me all over the place. He was fucking following me around ShipRocked last year trying to figure out who I was with and now he’s got pics of me and Liv together. He’s saying he’s going to blast them all over the internet and it just pissed me off.”
“Were you and her doing anything in the photos?” Ricky asked.
“What? No! We wouldn’t. It’s just pics of me saving her when we were in that swarm of people at the Walmart at the beginning of tour and various pics of us hugging since then. Nothing technically incriminating but she doesn’t need that stress when she’s your girl.” Ricky nodded and slid to his knees off the bed. Vin propped himself up on his elbows and watched as the guitarist expertly undid his jeans and started working them down his legs. Vinny’s breathing had shallowed out and he knew his eyes were blown wide. It was rare for Ricky to get on his knees for him, which the drummer didn’t mind, but it meant he didn’t last long when he did. “Rick-“
“Shh, I don’t mind helping you take some of the stress off.” The guitarist licked a strip up the underside of his member before taking him into his mouth and swallowing him all the way down. Vin threw his head back and laced his hands in his own hair, trying not to claw his scalp too bad. He groaned when he opened his eyes a bit and saw Ricky looking up at him through hooded eye lashes. It was enough to send him way to close to the edge so he scrambled to grab onto something. A hand snatched his when he got too close to Rickys hair. He looked down to see the man giving him a warning glare so he clung to his hand like it was a life line.
“Rick- fuck. Rick, I’m so fucking close.” This seemed to spur the guitarists determination and he sucked a little bit harder, tugging on that last string that sent Vinny crashing into his orgasm. He laid there gasping for breath for a moment before shoving himself back onto his arms and seeing the proud smirk that Ricky wore. “What are you so happy about?” Rick shrugged.
“Just missed seeing you come undone beneath me. Its been a while since we fooled around.” He crawled up to lay next to Vinny who noticed a patch of come on the corner of his mouth. He leaned forward to lick it off but was caught in a deep messy kiss from his partner.
“I’ve missed this. Should we tell Liv? I don’t want her getting hurt if she thinks we’re fooling around behind her back.” Vinny worried. Last thing he ever wanted to do was hurt the most important girl in their lives.
“She won’t care.” Vinny gave him an unsure look making Ricky roll his eyes. He picked up his phone and called her number. “Hey baby girl.”
“Hi baby. How is everything over there?”
“Fine, Vinny and I miss you. How is your grandma?”
“She’s good. She was released from the hospital today with no more than a broken arm. I’m still all good to return in two days.” She told them. Vinny elbowed Rick in the side making him grunt.
“Fuck, ok.” He snapped at the drummer. “Vinny so desperately wants me to tell you I blew him tonight.” Vinny groaned and buried his head into the pillow.
“Well ok then. Did you enjoy it?” Olivia asked. Vinny gave Ricky a bewildered look who just shrugged.
“I guess.” The drummer muttered.
“You guess? My skills deserve better than an I guess. I had you coming in under two minutes.” Ricky huffed playfully making Olivia laugh. The sound of her gorgeous laugh had Vinny melting.
“So why was it so important that I knew you two fooled around?” She asked.
“Vinny was worried that you would get hurt by it. He thought it felt like we were keeping a secret from you.” The guitarist explained.
“I know you two are together. I just didn’t want any secrets. You are very important to me.” Vinny grumbled.
“Vin, sweetheart I already told Ricky that if you two need to blow off steam together it wouldn’t bother me. Both of you were honest to me about your history together so I don’t mind.” The drummer let out a sigh of relief that he didn’t know he was holding.
“Thank you, Liv.” He whispered.
“I have to go but I’ll talk to you two later. Ok?” Olivia said.
“Ok baby girl. I love you.”
“I love you too Ricky. Bye Vinny.” Vinny mumbled a goodbye and curled into Ricks side. Ricky set the phone on his nightstand before wrapping his arms around the drummer.
“See? I told you she wouldn’t care.” The guitarist teased him.
“I know. She’s just so pure. I wouldn’t want to cause any issues between you two.”
“Vinny, you could never cause issues between us because for once I laid out everything to a partner from the get-go. Its been very refreshing and she’s been very understanding. I’m honestly so lucky to have her.” They chatted a bit longer before words left them and they got lost in the feeling of being together once more.
~~~~
“Ricky! Vinny!” The boys looked up from their conversation to see their favorite girl running across the airport towards them. They both stood up and braced themselves for impact as she threw her arms around their necks and hugged them tightly. The three of them hugged each other tightly, having missed being together.
“I missed you so much baby girl. How was your flight?” Ricky murmured, brushing a stray hair out of her face. She leaned into her touch and sighed at the comforting touch.
“It was fine. I remember why I don’t like flying alone but I’m ok. I missed you too. Both of you.” Ricky leaned down to kiss her and then Vinny pulled her into another hug.
“We missed you too, Sunshine.” He whispered.
“At least you two had each other to take care of. I was all alone.” She dramatically complained.
“Don’t worry, I bet Rick will give you a big welcome home once you are alone.” The drummer smirked.
“You’re always welcome to join us.” Ricky grinned back, throwing an arm around Olivia’s shoulder and pulling her towards the baggage claim.
“W-what?” Vinny exclaimed, chasing after his two friends.
If you are in the Six fandom and don’t like furries
Make yourself known~
So I know who’s a hypocrite.
Bitch we are all out here making fanfics about dead Tudor queens having PTSD and being gay as fuck like y’all got ZERO place to judge
Like all furries do is make art of walking and talking cute animals and maybe like 3% make NSFW content, but that’s a crazy minorities within such a huge fandom. But even though it’s soooo small, y’all like to judge us for the actions of others and assume we are ALL like that, how about we flip things then?
I’ve come across (not read, only seen) Six smut n shit. Like, not even just one or two fics, a damn good few. Y’all think someone should judge the whole queendom and call you all sexual deviants n shit for that?? Of course fucking not!!
It’s the same damn thing, so get over yourselves and pull the stick out of your ass
Yea that person needs to just,, not.
As an artist, and also a furry, I can EASILY see how this could make them uncomfortable, so respect that. And don’t think I didn’t see what you put in your tags dude, we ain’t stupid. So to you being a furry (or as YOU say, being part of “ the most over sexulized community on Tumblr”, I’ll get back to this don’t worry) means that they automatically would draw tiff if they were paid?? And that they “brought it upon themselves”??
We are not all like that. That is a minority and it’s shitty of you to assume that a fandom who’s so loving, accepting, and hell, full of MINORS and GREAT PEOPLE, are all some yiff loving pervs, grow up dude. We don’t become apart of the community for porn or nsfw content. We became apart of it for the great people in it and our passion for our characters. We are NOT some stereotypical dog-screwing perverts, we are artists, writers, designers, creators, and we deserved to be seen like that.
So if they don’t wanna draw what you assume they would draw, don’t pressure them bout it.
For those of you who've asked if I'm gonna write or draw smut for my Six Monster AU...
Are you guys listening to yourselves?
I already get enough flack for being a furry but now you're asking me to essentially create yiff?
They're basically animals so it would be yiff. I will NOT be doing that
If the monsterfuckers who make up my following want NSFW monster au content where a gothic church decoration makes love to the abominable snowman...
...Make it yourselves, don't be cowards
She Ain’t Me Part 2
Song Inspiration: She Ain’t Me by Sophia Scott
Warnings: TW: angst; adult language; TW: gun violence; some kinda love triangle (square?) thing I guess
Words: 2635
Olivia sucked in a breath. “Then be with me.”
Liam opened his eyes and turned to his oldest friend. “Liv …”
“What?” Her heart was beating a thousand miles a minute as she arched her brow.
“Liv, y-you know I don’t-”
Her hand shot out so fast and smacked him in the back of the head; Liam didn’t even flinch. “Stop being a dumbass.”
“Olivia!” Liam’s hand went to the back of his head and rubbed the sting away. “What the fuck?”
Liv blurted out what she really wanted, more than anything in this entire world. But it was stupid and fleeting. She knows Liam loves Ella Brooks.
The more Olivia thought about it, the more she knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that this man was meant to be with the woman of his dreams. Not me. “Drake worked his ass off to protect her,” Olivia said in a calm voice, even though everything inside her wasn’t calm. It was stormy, dark, and bleeding, but she pushed on. “He found Tariq that night trying to put his hands on Ella,” she watched Liam’s jaw clench. “He was the one that fought him and told him to leave.” Liam’s nostrils flared, his eyes clouded in anger. “And he didn’t tell you how he felt because you had enough shit going on being engaged to that two-bit blonde devil, Liam. Should he have told you? Yes,” Liv nodded and turned to stare at the setting sun, orange and yellow hues now a sliver in the now almost dark sky. “But when would have been an ... appropriate time to tell your best friend that you’re in love with the same woman?” Olivia slid her eyes back to Liam’s and held his gaze. “Do you think it’s easy for us?”
Regret flashed in Liam’s sky blue eyes as he stared into emerald ones. He slipped his hands inside his pockets and let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “I …” his voice hitched and he swallowed quickly. “I’m sorry, Olivia,” Liam shook his head and turned to look at the doors to the ballroom. He could see Ella trying to peek through the windows to get a glimpse of him. “I may have … overreacted.”
“Understatement of the year,” Liv arched her brow at him with her signature smirk.
“Thank you.”
Olivia tilted her head slightly. “For?”
“Knocking some sense into me … quite literally,” he chuckled and then winced as he put his hand where she smacked him.
“Anytime,” she smiled, although it didn’t reach her eyes.
An awkward silence settled between them for a moment before Liam cleared his throat. “Did you mean what you said? Or was that something you did to get my attention?”
Olivia walked towards the balcony and leaned her elbows onto it. “Maybe a little of both.”
“I’m sor-”
“Liam,” she turned around quickly to face him. “Don’t.”
He opened his mouth to respond and Olivia held up a hand. “I don’t want or need your apologies, Liam. We’ve been friends since we were children and you were always straightforward about your … lack of romantic feelings.” She picked an imaginary piece of lint on her fire-red sequined gown. “You were honest from the beginning. I don’t need you to feel sorry for me, I’m a big girl.”
Liam knew when it was pointless to argue so he just smiled. “Would you mind bringing Drake out here please?”
She nodded and hastily made her way inside the ballroom. Ella, Drake, and Maxwell immediately ran towards the fiery redhead.
“Liv!” “Is everything okay now?” “Where is he?”
“Drake,” she gestured towards the balcony doors. “You’re up.”
Ella’s bottom lip quivered and she bit down on it to keep from crying. No one noticed but Olivia.
“Maxwell, please grab Ella something to drink. A fruity one” - Olivia waved her hand in the air - “with some glitter or some shit.”
Max grinned and ran towards the bar, Drake ran a shaky hand through his already tousled brown hair and turned to make his way outside. When they were alone, Olivia grabbed Ella’s elbow and gently pulled her to the corner of the ballroom.
Ella began to babble. “Liv, I need to go, I have to check on-”
“You’ll stay put, Ella, this is a conversation for those two and those two alone.”
The queen-to-be nodded in agreement but said nothing.
“I, uh …” Olivia pulled her lips between her teeth as she glanced down at the floor then back up at her friend. “Ella, I need to apologize to you.”
Ella’s eyes widened in surprise.
Liv waved her hand up in a circle. “Spare me the looks, please.” Ella and Olivia had grown close over the engagement tour, much to Liv’s dismay. She used to look at Ella as an American dolt that had no clue about Cordonian traditions, who stole her childhood love out from under her. But over months of being on the tour, they had to work together to figure out the plot against them and … Ella didn’t take any of her shit, and she respected that. “I want to apologize because-”
“You’re in love with Liam?” Ella smirked.
“In short, yes,” she nodded.
“You’ve known him almost his entire life, Liv,” her brows rounded as she took in her friend. “I don’t blame you for loving him.”
It was Olivia’s turn to look surprised.
“He’s the kindest person” - Ella let out a sigh - “anyone has probably ever met and he loves hard. Plus, he’s really easy on the eyes so I don’t blame you at all.”
Liv chuckled. “I’m working on it, it’s just really difficult to … see you two together.”
“I understand,” Ella pulled the Scarlet Duchess into her arms for a hug despite her protests. “Shut up, Liv, friends hug.”
Olivia squeezed Ella into a hug and then pulled away with a sigh. “I think maybe … after the wedding … I just take a small break.”
“I understand,” she let out her own sigh and swallowed the lump that was in her throat. “How pissed …” Ella looked up at the ceiling and waved her hand over her eyes to keep the tears from falling. “Was he really mad about-”
“He was pissed, yes,” Liv knew what she was asking. “Did you kiss him?” Her arms were folded across her chest.
“Who? Drake? No! Of course not!”
“Did you sleep with him?”
“Olivia!”
“Did you give him any reason to pursue you, Ella?”
“No,” Ella shook her head vehemently. “I told him that I love Liam. I only see Drake as a friend; I love him like a brother.”
“Then this isn’t on you and you let those two hash it out between them.”
**
On the balcony
Drake opened the door and shut it quietly. He had no idea what to expect from this conversation with Liam. This was about his fiancé for crying out loud. He was in love with Liam’s fiancé and if the roles were reversed, he’d be fucking pissed off too.
“Drake.”
He looked up to see Liam standing against the balcony, hands in his pockets, legs crossed at the ankles.
“Hey, Li.”
Liam pushed himself off of the cool cement and made his way towards him. “Tell me when this all started.”
His voice was calm as he spoke and it threw Drake off. He was expecting a coldness, anger, anything but this. But he went along with it and cleared his throat before speaking, choosing his words wisely. “Well, uh … I’d probably say the very beginning, on the plane back home from New York; there was a moment in Lythikos” - Drake shook his head - “But I didn’t realize anything until Applewood.”
Liam clenched his jaw and his hands fisted in his pockets. “What happened?” He croaked out and then he cleared his own throat. “What went on in Lythikos? Did you … did you two-” He couldn’t even say it out loud as he let out a breath, his chest burning. He and Ella were together intimately for the first time that night in Lythikos during the social season and if something happened with her and Drake as well …
“No!” Drake blurted out, his head shaking so fast that he got dizzy. “We’ve never … never, ever, Liam.”
Relief flooded Liam’s handsome face.
“You … you really thought I’d do that to you? That she would do that to you?” Drake stuck his thumb out and gestured towards the ballroom at Ella.
“No,” Liam answered honestly. “But my mind was going a thousand miles-a-minute and for a little bit I had no clue what to think.”
Drake's eyebrows rounded. “Nothing happened with us … romantically. On our way back from New York, I was telling her she didn’t belong, that people would be shitty to her. She put me in my place. Ever since then, she’s made me eat my words. In Lythikos,” Drake rubbed a hand over his face, feeling the roughness of his stubble from the day. “Olivia was giving me shit about Savannah leaving …”
Liam gave his friend a concerned look, knowing.
“Ella jumped in and told her to shut the fuck up before she stabs her with the fork she’s currently eating with” - despite his dissipating anger, Liam started to chuckle, interrupting the story. Drake looked up, surprised, then started to laugh with him - “El goes right back to … eating her fruit tart … looking at Olivia … with that fucking smirk.” The two continued to laugh, Liam knowing exactly the smirk Drake was talking about and also knowing the Scarlet Duchess and how she probably had no comeback.
When the two had calmed down, Liam wiping some moisture from his eyes from cracking up, Drake continued with his recount of the day in Lythikos. “Something inside me just … I don’t know how to say it,” he frantically thought of the words to describe what he was feeling. “No one besides you and Savannah had ever stood up for me before and it made me feel …”
“Like she cared about you,” Liam finished for him.
Drake nodded. “Then we watched the meteor shower together outside and I told her about Sav.”
Liam chewed on the inside of his cheek. “And Applewood?”
“After seeing the fear in her eyes that night, Tariq’s fucking hands on her, I just … felt this rage” - both men sucked in an angered breath - “A rage I’d never felt before over a woman and I realized then that I’d do anything and everything to protect her. To make sure no harm came to her, and …”
“You realized you were in love with her,” Liam said quietly, finally understanding.
Drake stared at Liam’s shoes for a moment then looked up to meet his best friend’s gaze. “Yes.”
“I …” Liam paused for a moment, making sure these were the words he wanted to say. “I understand why you fell for her.”
Drake looked at him, surprised.
“She’s fierce, intelligent, loving, beautiful” - Liam’s eyes slid towards the balcony doors and saw his fiancé sneaking glances at him from inside - “and loyal. I want to apologize and to thank you.”
Drake’s face went from surprise and contorted to confusion. “I’m sorry, you what?”
Liam nodded. “I overreacted and quickly jumped to conclusions without giving it careful thought. I just ... wish you would have told me when you realized you loved her, Drake, it took me by surprise, that’s all. And thank you for always being there to protect her,” Liam sucked in a breath. “I wasn’t there,” he whispered. “I wasn’t there in Applewood and what if …”
“Don’t you dare blame yourself, Liam!” Drake’s voice was raised. “We can’t think like that, if nobody was there to step in …” he closed his eyes to contain his temper. “We can’t go there. One of us was, and that’s all that matters.”
Liam nodded.
“And you’re right, I should have told you the minute I realized my feelings,” he agreed as he ran a hand through his dark hair. “I’m so sorry for that. I told her about my feelings in Applewood when she helped me with my bruises. She told me that she’s here for you and that she’s in love with you” - Drake closed his eyes briefly then opened them to look at his brother - “and that I should tell you how I felt.”
Neither man said anything for a moment, the only sounds that filled the night air were crickets, the leaves rustling in the wind, and an owl in the distance.
“You’re a lucky man, Liam,” Drake whispered.
“I know.” The young king took a shaky breath in and let it out slowly. He knew he was, and he knew how difficult it must be for his best friend to watch the woman he was in love with being engaged to someone else.
“Are we going to be okay?”
Liam looked over at his best friend of a decade, his brother, and smiled. “Yes, but” - his smile faded - “I don’t want this to be difficult for you. You have to watch Ella and me-”
“I’m fine, Li.”
“Don’t do that,” Liam said sternly. “I know it would kill me inside if the roles were reversed.”
“Of course it’s painful but it’s you and Brooks,” Drake said as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his finger and thumb before looking back at Liam. “Who else is going to watch your backs? Bastien? Beaumont?!” He flung his arm back towards the ballroom in disgust.
Liam chuckled. “Just know that I would understand if you needed … time.”
“I appreciate that, but I don’t want or need time. My place is here, watching over you two. Making sure Beaumont doesn’t accidentally light the palace on fire or some shit.”
The two men hugged and pulled away, patting each other’s shoulders.
“I wanted to speak with Ella-”
“Yeah,” Drake sighed. “She’s been trying to be sneaky, walking past the door almost the whole time we’ve been out here.”
Liam chuckled. “Alright my friend, let’s head back in.”
The two slipped back into the ballroom and the lights went out.
“What in the-” Drake growled.
Gunshots sounded in the air. “Everyone shut the fuck up and get on the ground!”
“Ella!” Liam’s voice boomed over the screams. “ELLA!”
“We’ll find her, Li,” Drake’s eyes had adjusted to the darkness but could only make out shadows of people running frantically in every direction.
The lights turned back on and both men turned to see Ella with one of the assassins, his arm around her waist, Glock pressed to her temple. “Ahh, King Liam. Perfect setting don’t you think? I can kill your bride” - he ran the side of his gun against Ella’s face and she struggled to get away - “Or I can kill you.” Another assassin appeared from behind the first one with his assault rifle pointed at Liam.
“Let her go and take me instead,” he commanded.
“Liam!” Ella choked out, her cheeks streaked with tears, her eyes pleading. “Don’t!”
“Where are you going, sweetie?” Assassin number one cooed as she struggled against his grasp. He raised his firearm and hit her over the head with it.
“Ella!” Drake and Liam yelled out as she lay limp in the man’s arms.
“Take her!” He hissed at assassin number two. Ella was removed from the ballroom as Liam and Drake watched helplessly. “Stay!” The man commanded as he pointed his gun at the two of them. “You’ll hear my demands in a few hours.”
The assassin leader turned and left with a loud cackle. The other assassins with their rifles pointed at Drake and Liam backed out of the room one by one until the deafening silence was almost too much to bear.
31 for A x detective please 🧡
Hi! Thank you for the request!
31- “I can’t keep kissing strangers and pretending that they’re you”
So, this one does need a little explaining. As much as I love this prompt, my main A detective is just as much as an emotionally repressed dumbass as they are (but she is starting to get slightly better haha) and the other detective that I have been writing A with is way too sweet, and one, would never deal with her feelings this way, and two, would never say anything to intently hurt them. So, of course, I borrowed a detective from @lividlyinlove, who fits this prompt much better.
This is my longest request yet, and I hope you like it! And thank you Liv for letting me use your detective! You’re amazing!
Title: Give me Something
Pairing: Adam and Kira (lividlyinlove’s detective)
Words: 3k
Summary: Kira has tried to move on from whatever her and Adam are supposed to be, just to come to the realization- she can’t.
Tags: @lilyoffandoms
She had never met someone who infuriated her so much.
But she also had never met someone who drew her in like he did.
Kira had long given up ever figuring Adam out. She had grown tired of the constant back and forth that he took her on, and she wanted to move on from whatever it was. The fleeting attraction that she had, act like it had never happened. Like she knew he would do.
And goddammit she had tried. Finally accept that he was never going to thaw his icy shell that had formed over the past 900 years, and she was not going to be one to do so for him, even if she wanted to. Only he could so, and he seemed hardly interested in that, preferring to continue to hide whatever was stirring inside of him for the rest of his immortal life.
Does that drive you crazy Adam? Having to try and figure out what the hell this is for eternity?
I know it would if it were me
She had gone on a few dates, a desperate attempt to move on, keeping them a secret from the rest of the team, and while she had internally rationalized that she was doing so in order to keep Felix or even Nate from asking her questions about them, but it was really about Adam. Kira wondered just how he would react if he knew, and while part of her wanted him to feel the confliction from all and maybe just actually say something, but she was not going to push it. At least not yet.
It’s just some fun, a nice night out. There is nothing serious about them.
But she was starting to fear that there never would be. Nothing about them made her want to go back on another, as if it was missing something, but what that was, she had no idea.
All of them have been nice, and most of them are much more open then Adam is, not like that is particularly hard to be.
What possibly more could you want?
This is all came into a head after one particular date with a guy from the big city who was staying in Wayhaven for a couple of days.
She ran into him on her walk to work, and he was nice. He seemed genuinely happy to talk to her, an easy smile never leaving his face, and was not trying to push her away the whole time, doing anything to avoid even seeing her.
Like a certain someone I know.
But one thing that drew him to her immediately were his eyes.
They were a gorgeous green, but unlike Adam’s cold icy eyes, they were dark, as the color of the darkest evergreen forest, the kind that was still just as vibrant even under snow in the bitterest of winters. They were almost soothing to look into, never becoming fraught with hardness, just openness. Kindness. All the things she was not used to.
He asked her out on a date, laughing as he did so, and told her it was on a complete whim that he did so, but she graciously accepted, already finding him intriguing, so different then what she was used to, almost a night and day difference.
They went out together the next night, and everything about it was magical. As if was a scene in a movie, sweet and easy, smiles shared between them that she hoped would never die, drinking in all of the things that he told about himself, but she noticed there was some hesitance when talking about herself, but she was not sure why.
He’s fine talking about himself, why aren’t you?
It hit her like a slap across her face when she realized that she never had this trouble with Adam, stubborn and annoying as he could be, even with her own fears of vulnerability. He drew things from her anyway, and she could never understand why. It was not like he seemed to care anyway, nor would he ever.
You are not going to think about him tonight.
It’s not about him.
Though she knew that he noticed her suddenly get quieter, he did not say anything about it, but she did the slightest tinge of confusion in his eyes, and Kira focused on keeping a smile on her face to drown it all out. Tonight, was not to mope about a guy who pushed her away whenever they got close. She was going to enjoy herself, make the most of tonight, with a new guy where maybe there could be something more, even if it was too early to tell just yet.
The date ended with him dropping her off at her apartment, the sun having long set in the horizon, and she noticed that from the bright lights outside the door, his eyes looked paler than they did earlier, and it only reminded her of the person that she was trying so desperately to forget.
She almost pushed him away at the sight, being confronted with the sudden rush of guilt, though she was not sure why.
You’re not his girlfriend, it’s not like you’re cheating on him.
Then why does it feel like I am?
But she put that out of her mind, and as the pair continued to gaze at each other, as if they were the only two people in the world, she felt herself move forward, and their lips met in a kiss.
It was not a long kiss, but there was sweet feeling there all the same, but then she could see Adam’s green eyes in her mind, and just for a second, she allowed herself to imagine if it had been him, and felt her pulse race at the thought, and she pulled him closer to her, forgetting all about who it actually was and allowing herself to imagine.
And for a few precious seconds, it almost seemed true, her wildest dreams that she had longed pushed away.
But that illusion could not last forever.
When Kira opened her eyes back up, and as she stared into her date’s eyes, his eyes still as gentle and open as they had been all night, horror started to fill her, and she could feel her stomach drop in dread.
What are you doing?
This isn’t fair to him.
It’s not his fault he’s not the one you want him to be
She pulled back from his touch immediately, freaking herself out over everything that was happening, his hands starting to shake.
“Kira, are you alright?”, she heard him say, worry filling his features, “Did I- “
“No”, she stated firmly, “You did nothing wrong. This is all my doing”
He opened his mouth to say something else, but she cut him off, “I’m sorry”
She entered her apartment after that, guilt filling her stomach, and as soon as she closed the door behind her, she sank to the ground, burying her face in her hands, trying hard not to let the frustrated tears spill down her cheeks.
Why can’t he leave my head?
I want to move on, finally accept that he’s never going to admit anything for the rest of his immortal life.
But I can’t.
She was tired of all of this, this confusing mess of feelings. Kira wanted it all to end, stop pining after someone who would never give in to what she knew they both wanted deep down. For everything that he did that had just hurt the both in the end, even if he would never admit that.
Damn it, she had even kissed Bobby. Her absolute scumbag of an ex, because she had been hurt. She knew that she should have not have, but when he leaned in closer to kiss her, she kissed him back, needing anything to get off her mind off eavesdropping on Adam and Nate’s conversation after the carnival. Him admitting that he felt nothing, when her own mind was such a mine field on confused emotions affected her more then she expected it to.
“But you do have those feelings?”
"No, I do not."
Kira had been trying to avoid crying the whole ride home back to her apartment, and when she finally got home, she was far too drained and hurt to even refuse Bobby’s offer to come in, even if about every rational part of her told herself it was a horrible idea for a countless number of reasons.
It was a definite moment of weakness from her, and one that she knew that he would shove back in her face more likely sooner then later, and as much as she regretted, she was not sure if that she could go back, she would be able to do anything different then what she had done.
Maybe that spoke to her own maturity, but she could hardly care.
How else was I supposed to react?
She could not just keep finding other people to put her heartbreak on, trying to make them into someone they were not, since molding someone into you want them to be, breaking apart what made them special in the first place was the last thing she wanted to do.
How long is this going on?
Will months, even years, past, and I’ll still feel like this?
A painful thought entered her brain, of her meeting someone, it all seeming to be working out, but sometimes, there would be times when all she would see was someone that she was trying so hard to get over.
They say moving on is the hardest part.
But will I ever actually ever be able to?
Or will I be stuck in this never-ending limbo forever?
There was no way she was going to have another night like this again, as tempting as it might be. It was not fair to the other person, to have someone who was pinning for someone else, and no matter who it was, they deserved better then that. Her date tonight deserved better than that.
Should I apologize?
Should I explain the situation?
What would I even say?
Kira resigned herself to the fact that there was nothing that she could say that would even make sense at all to anyone except herself, and she knew that it was best to part ways before anything became too out of hand.
I suppose for him, it’s lucky that it happened tonight
It’s a lot less of dragging him along with my own hurt feelings, while I try to desperately find some semblance of a person that he is not.
Shaking the night out of her brain, she got up from off the guard, and she walked through her apartment to go ahead and head to bed, even though she knew she was going to be awake for hours, staring at the ceiling, hoping this would all go away.
She heard the soft padding of footsteps and the light clicks of a collar, and she barely made out her miniature schnauzer Wolfgang in the dark, his already black coat besides the small white patch on his chest making him almost invisible in the dark. He normally would have been asleep at this time of night, so she was surprised to see him still awake.
“Hey bud”, she said as he padded the side of her bed as I plea to get up, and she reached over to pick him up and set her on top of the bed with her, “Everything’s kind of a mess right now, isn’t it?”
Kira ran her hands down his thick coat, scratching behind his ears as he settled into a crook in her bed, the motion soothing her brain slightly, “At least you’re still here. You don’t make things complicated”
She could swear she almost saw him a slight of a nod of his head on the dark, and she chuckled at the sight of it, and she settled back down on her bed, and even though sleep never called her, her mind still too overactive to even try and figure out anything, it was calming none the less, even if she still had no idea at what to do.
I feel like if I do fall asleep, I’ll dream, and I don’t think I want to.
Before she knew it, she could hear her alarm go off on her phone, and she had not gotten a wink of sleep the whole time. She was tired, her eyelids feeling heavy but she would still not allow herself to sleep, and knowing that she would have to start her day regardless, she dragged herself out of bed, realizing she needed to go by the warehouse this morning.
But there was a pit of dread in her stomach as she realized she was going to have to see Adam today.
Why are you so worried about this?
It’s not like he’s not avoiding you right now anyway.
Sighing, she got up to get ready for today, trying hard to ignore the dark circles that had formed around her eyes.
I look like an absolute wreck.
Congrats, me.
She pulled her clothes on, filling Wolfgang’s dog bowl before leaving, making sure he had everything he needed before she had to leave. She normally would eat breakfast, but she was still not feeling normal after last night, so she ended up leaving anyway.
This is all such a mess.
It did not take her long to make her way to the warehouse, and the first thing that Kira noticed was that Adam was standing outside, staring at the horizon as she drove up the warehouse.
What is he doing out here?
I know well enough he’s not waiting for me
“Detective Eveli”, he remarked as she walked up to him.
She fought hard to suppress the growl in her throat. It was not fair how at the second they were seeming to be getting closer, he would just push her away again, and this forced formality he had insisted on using was starting to grate on her, almost making her skin crawl.
It was strange to her why she was getting so upset now, but after last night, she was a shell of repressed emotions, and they were threatening to overspill on any person that dared talk to her today.
Shame (or perhaps not) that had to be the person that all of this was about in the first place.
“It’s Kira, Adam”, she spat out, her blue eyes holding his eyes in a glare, “You might as well have the decently to use it”
“I find that rather unnecessary”, he replied, the faint echoes of a scowl filling his face.
“After everything that has happened, I think it’s quite necessary actually”, she said back, “It’s the least you could do”
“I fail to see what you mean”, he almost whispered, almost hesitant, turning his head to face away from her, and she could not tell if he was truly ignorant or was feigning it.
“You’re still going to act like this?”, she demanded, “Like nothing was going on between us?”
She was not sure why she asked such a question, or what had even compelled her to ask it, but she hardly cared at the moment. After everything that was going through her brain, he had to at least share all of this in her head. She refused to think she was the only one struggling with this.
“There was nothing”, he growled, but the sudden hesitance in his eyes that he worked hard to bury said otherwise.
“I can’t believe you, you know that”, she huffed out, crossing her arms almost subconsciously, “We hold hands once and then you act like you can’t be around me anymore”
Frustration just rose in her voice as he refused to answer, instead noticing that he swallowed hard, “I don’t understand any of this more then you do, you know that? I should have done what you told me to do and save Sanja, but goddammit, Adam, I couldn’t. I couldn’t leave you when you needed me”
Kira felt the sting of tears at the edge of her eyes, and she fought hard to keep them from streaming down her face, as much as they begged her to, “I’m sick of all of this. I can’t take it anymore. You can’t keep drawing me in and then pushing me back out. It’s not fair”
She took a shuddering breath, and she finally dared herself to look back at Adam, who was unsurprisingly, looking away from her, his shoulders tighter than she had ever seen them before. He looked more like a statue then he normally did.
“I’ve tried to move on, you know”, she whispered, and his head snapped back to look at her, and the sudden intense gaze almost made her forget what she wanted to say, “Finally accept you’re never going to let your walls down. But it keeps me coming back to the ugly truth, a truth that I’ve been hiding from myself for so long”
“I can’t keep kissing strangers and pretending that they’re you”
“Kira…”, Adam breathlessly whispered, and she could feel her hands clench, and she looked back into his eyes, narrowing her own.
“You’re going to use my name now, huh?”, she scoffed, “Or are you just coming to go back after this? Speak now, or forever hold your peace”
When he did not deign to reply, she could feel her shoulders slump, but she tried to hide it, “Of course. See you later I guess”
She then walked to the door of the warehouse, the tears in her eyes starting to break through as she turned away from Adam and walked inside, wondering what can compelled her to say what she did in the first place.
But it doesn’t matter now, and it never mattered
Nothing is ever going to change.
No matter what you say, no matter how much you beg.
Nothing is ever going to change.
Chapter 5
(A/N: Bold is what’s happening on Stray kids’ side and Italic is what’s going on Moon’s side)
““Mark?” “Yeah, what are you doing here?” he asked helping her stand up “Ow” she hissed grabbing his arm to balance herself “What happened?” “Hyunjin what’s the update?” Chan asked “I don’t know I fled” he answered “I think I twisted my foot” “What were you doing here in the middle of the night” he asked examining her foot “What do you mean you fled? Where’s Moon?” Bree exclaimed “I don’t know. We saw Mark at the entrance and she knew him, she hurt herself and slipped out of the rock an- “YOU LEFT HER UNARMED AND INJURED?!?!?!?!” Chan shouted “I didn’t know what to do, the moment she slipped out , she took out her earpiece and destroyed it” “I wa-” “What’s going on here?” another voice asked. They both looked towards the source. “Who are you?” asked the man looking at Moon up and down “I was lost and saw some lights and started walking towards it” Moon answered “Felix, Minho, Changbin, what’s the status? Any visuals on Moon?” Chan asked the three “Negative, we can’t find a way in” Changbin answered “Chan something doesn’t seem right. The moment she saw Mark, she somehow twisted her foot and when I asked to look she slipped out of the hideout. Then when Mark is coming towards her, she destroys the earpiece” Hyunjin spoke “What were you doing walking on the highway at midnight. Seems suspicious” spoke the man looking around in the grass “There’s no houses or even hotels at least a mile from here” Mark stated “And?” Moon questioned “And, it seems weird you’d be here, this isn’t exactly a neighborhood where you’d take a walk and get lost” Mark answered “I was sta-” Moon started “Look what I found” the man said, holding a destroyed earpiece in his hand. Mark took it from him to inspect it, “Care to explain?” Mark asked Moon looking at her “What do you mean? That’s not mine.” Moon answered “I don’t think so. Let’s go” the man said grabbing her arm “No, I told you. Mark?” she looked at him “I planted a bug in her hair earlier, Seungmin, connect us” Lee Know said He looked at her with a sorry look before reaching forward and grabbing her, Moon tried fighting back but both men had her in a lockhold, Moon let out a scream trying to get the attention of any of her members but to no avail. “LET ME GO” she shouted, she kicked Mark’s knee and tried running away, but the other man was quicker, he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her towards him "HEL-HHHMMPPHHH" he covered her nose and mouth with a damp cloth, she tried fighting back but it was all too useless and a few seconds later she passed out. "I have visual, Moon's unconscious and they're taking her in" Woojin spoke "Shoot the men. Get her out" Bree said "NO! Wait, we can't expose ourselves yet, the trade hasn't taken place. We still need to stop it" Hyunjin said "Hurry and decide, I've got one shot, they'll disappear in 2 minutes max" Woojin asked "Shoot, they can't take her inside" El exclaimed "Chan?" Woojin asked “Hold your fire. Changbin,Felix and Minho, the three of you get her out. Everyone else continue with the mission” Chan ordered “Hyunjin, if something happens to her, I swear I’m gonna kill you” Bree spoke through gritted teeth “Why are you coming at me? Does no one find it suspicious that she knew him? On top of that she destroyed her earpiece without hesitation” he asked “Use your brain idiot, just because she knew him doesn’t mean she was with him" El said “But what about the earpiece?” “So she doesn’t get caught” Seungmin answered “How the hell doe-” “You fucking dumbass, no one knows she joined Stray Kids. As far as other gangs know, we only have 13 members. Even if they saw her, they wouldn’t suspect us. Her taking the earpiece out was for her to get out undetected.” Bree cut Hyunjin off “Congrats Hwang, you did it again, except this time, she may not even get out alive” J.One spoke “Shut up Jisung. No one asked for your opinion” Hyunjin spat “Stop it both of you. And Hyunjin, he’s not wrong” Chan said “The building is sealed from all sides and the entrance is guarded. Do you want us to break in?” Changbin asked “If we break in, we’ll need back up, there are too many of them” Freckles said “Felix is right, we can’t go in from the front” Lee Know spoke “Minho, where are you?”Changbin asked “I was circling the building. I’m at the back, I found a way in, but I don’t think I can fit in. Felix, you might be able to get in from here” He answered “I’m on my way” Felix said “Seungmin, track Moon, check which floor she's on and send the coordinates to Felix” Chan ordered “Copy that. Jeongin, take over the drones” Seungmin spoke “Felix are you in?” Changbin asked “Not yet” he replied
Moon jolted awake as someone splashed cold water on her face. She tried to move but as she looked down she saw that she was tied to a chair. “What the hell?” she stared at Mark who was standing in front of her with an empty water bottle “Please don’t make this harder for me” Mark pleaded “I’m the one tied to a chair, how is it hard for you” she asked “Just tell me who you’re here with and you won’t get hurt” he said “You’re going to hurt me?” she looked at him with a broken expression “He touches her and I swear I’ll break every bone in his body” Chan gritted “Felix I sent the coordinates, how far is she” Seungmin asked “Fuck! She’s on the top floor” Felix cursed “Snipers, what are your positions?” Chan asked “Jisung and I are on the ground, Bree and Woojin found two trees on opposite corners of the building” El answered “I won’t but someone else will. So cooperate” Mark said “I told you, I got lost, saw the lights and started walking towards it.” she answered “IT’S THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, WHAT WERE YOU DOING WALKING ON A HIGHWAY. FOR FUCKS SAKE JUST TELL ME THE TRUTH” he shouted shaking her shoulders “I AM TELL-” she started when the door opened and the man from before walked in “She’s not going to talk like that” he spoke “Give me some time, I’ll get her to talk” Mark said “And do what with that time, you have to get physical in order for her to talk, you should know that better than me” the man said “Woojin, Bree, can either of you see Moon?” Chan questioned “Negative. No visual from here” Woojin answered “I see a window, but it’s covered. Thermal aim is picking up something, but there are too many people inside” Bree told “Felix what is your status?” “I’m by the stairs, there are at least 2 men stationed at each floor. I need another person” he answered “I’m coming” Chan said “There’s no use of you coming Chan, the entrance is too small for you to fit in” Felix said “I’ll go” Anna spoke. Chan looked at her before sighing and agreeing “Minho are you still at the back?” Anna asked “Yeah I’m here. Come on I’ll help you in” Minho answered “We’re not even sure if she’s a spy, I’m not hitting an innocent person” Mark answered “We found a communication device from beside her, she’s not innocent” Moon suddenly laughed, causing both men to look her way “What’s so funny bitch” the man asked “No wonder you’re in a gang. Must’ve been too dumb to graduate highschool so you decided to become an outlaw” she spoke “Was that supposed to be an insult for all of us or just the two who are with her?” Hyunjin laughed “Not sure about all of us but definitely for you” Jisung snorted “Just you wait Han” Hyunjin said “This is an abandoned building you dumbass. I may not know how this gang shit works but I’m sure plenty of gangs use this place. That device could’ve belonged to anyone who used it before.” “This woman is not afraid of anything is she.” Liv said “No wonder Chan likes her” Minho butted in “This isn’t a moment for jokes” Chan said “He’s right. This is a serious situation, his girlfriend is in danger” Woojin said, making everyone laugh, even causing Chan to chuckle “Chan look on the bright side, you don’t have competition anymore” Bree laughed “What competition?” he asked confused “See, Mark is her childhood crush, and seeing how he’s not helping her. She’ll hate him after this” Bree answered “When did you find out so much about her?” Chan asked “Wait Chan she has a point. If you save her right now, you’d be her hero” Jisung spoke “What is this? A Disney film?” Chan said sarcastically “It may not be a Disney film, but it could be your Disney moment” Seungmin laughed “Tangled” Hyunjin said abruptly “Dude! Tangled? Have you even watched the movie?” Jisung exclaimed “Yeah I have seen the movie. And I’m just saying. It makes sense. Flyn Rider was a criminal, but he still saved Rapunzel.” Hyunjin explained “He didn’t save her, she wanted to- just stop talking Hwang, you’re not making any sense” Jisung replied “Watch your mouth little bitch” the man said grabbing her jaw “Let her go, I’ll talk to her” Mark said moving forward “Oh no Mark, you’ve done your talking, it’s time for her to talk” the man said slapping Moon across the face. Moon started struggling against the restraints “I FUCKING TOLD YOU, IT’S NOT MINE” she shouted “Wrong answer!” he said punching her this time “Mark!!! Help me. Are you just going to watch him beat me up” Moon asked with tears running down her cheeks “Just tell him the truth, please” Mark pleaded “Fucking bastard. Is he really not going to do anything???” Chan shouted in frustration “Guys, we have a problem.” Anna said “What’s going on?" El asked “We’re on the third floor. And the fourth floor is swarming with guards” she answered “Where’s Felix?” Chanbin and El asked at the same time “He’s looking for a way past them” “No luck, we have to hide. They’re coming our way” Felix said grabbing Anna’s hand and dragging her away “Which floor is Moon on?” Chan asked “7th, 5th room on the left” Seungmin answered “Woojin, Bree, any way in from outside?” "No, all windows are sealed from the outside. Even if one of us were to reach the window, they'd shoot before we'd have the chance to get inside" Woojin answered The man took out a pocket knife before speaking "you see this, with every wrong answer I'll peel one nail off from your finger". Moon looked at Mark silently asking for help. Mark clenched his jaw thinking about his next move "Stop it" he said "If you can't watch then feel free to leave" the man answered "You've already hit her so much, and she keeps saying the same thing. Just let it go, I'll take care of her" Mark spoke "One more try, let's see what she has to say." The man laughed like a maniac "Put the knife away, you've hurt her enough" said Mark "Don't go all soft just because you have an attachment" he said before turning back to Moon "Now sweetheart, I suggest you tell me who you're here with or there are going to be consequences" he said stabbing the knife in her hand. Moon screamed in pain, struggling against the restraints "STOP IT. STOP IT" she kept on screaming. Mark shoved the man away from her "What the hell" he shouted "I told you, if you can't watch, just leave" the man said, pushing him away. "Start talking" the man gritted, grabbing Moon's jaw and squeezing it, she let out a muffled scream. "Fuck this. I'm going in. God knows what they're doing to her right now" Chan said walking towards the building. Liv grabbed on to his arm trying to pull him back. "Stop thinking irrationally. You'll blow the entire mission" she said "It doesn't matter. I have to get her out" "Chan stop. She's right, you can't go in. The mission may not be important right now, but the only choice we have is to wait out here" Woojin spoke "FUCK FUCK FUCK" Chan shouted in frustration "There's a small hotel, few miles or I don't know maybe km from here. I was staying with a friend there-" she sniffed trying to calm her breathing down "-we were talking about something and then suddenly we had a disagreement and we started fighting. I got really angry and ran out. I kept running and when I stopped I was in the middle of the highway. I didn't really know where I was so I kept walking. I don't know how long I was walking for until I saw the building, as I got nearer to the building I saw lights, I was about to shout for help when I slipped and sprained my ankle, that's when Mark saw me" Moon finished looking at the man "Why the hell isn't she telling the truth?" El said repeatedly hitting her head on the ground "A month back when she got her tattoo made, she asked me if she was fit to be in stray kids. If we think of her as worthy. She's not going to tell, even if she doesn't know we can hear her, she's not going to" Bree answered "I guess no need for phase 4” Hyunjin said "I fucking told you. She's not the type to be involved in such shit" Mark gritted at the man. The man laughed at his face before moving towards Moon. “But too bad for you, you’ve seen us. So we can’t just let you go.” he said “Leave that to me, I’ll take care of it” Mark said. The man caressed her face as she tried to back away from his touch. Suddenly another man came inside “they’re here” he said “You’re not all bad to look at, I’m sure my dealer’s going to love you. Darek, put her with the others” the moment those words left his mouth, Darek moved forward as Moon’s and Mark’s eyes went wide. “This was a fucking weapon trade” Mark said “Get her out. NOW!!!” El screamed Mark lunged forward and attacked Darek. The two men fought as Moon kept screaming for help while struggling against restraints, she grabbed the knife with her teeth slowly pulling it out of her hand, groaning in pain, she successfully pulled the knife out. While the two men were busy fighting each other, Moon tried using the knife between her teeth to cut the duct tape around her uninjured hand. After a few attempts she released her hand from the restraint. Taking the knife in her hand now, she released herself. Stumbling towards the two men, she stabbed the knife in Darek’s side who fell groaning. Mark took the opportunity and took the knife out from his side and stabbed his neck, killing him. “Felix, Anna, what’s your status?” Chan asked “Still hiding, more people are coming inside” Anna answered “Stay back” Moon said crawling away from Mark who was trying to get near her “Hey, hey, calm down I’m not going to hurt you” he said extending his hand. “I don’t believe you, please, just please” she said curling into a ball in the corner “Look at me” he said kneeling down in front of her “Please kill me” she whispered “What?!” Mark exclaimed grabbing her shoulders “I SAID KILL ME. JUST FUCKING KILL ME ALREADY” she sobbed pushing him away “B-” he started “NO. I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT. NOBODY BELIEVES ME, NO MATTER WHAT I SAY. IT’S NOTHING BUT TORTURE. IT’S ALL JUST STABBING ME, HITTING ME AND NEVER BELIEVING WHAT I SAY. PLEASE, PLEASE JUST END IT, I’M BEGGING YOU. I DON’T WANT TO LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE. NOBODY WANTS ME ANYWAY, YOU’LL BE DOING THE WORLD A FAVOR.” she screamed thrashing around, the pain in her wounds long forgotten. Mark grabbed her forcefully and hugged her trying to calm her down, she struggled against him but he didn’t budge. After several tries she gave up and buried her head in his chest, crying loudly. He gently stroked her back holding her close whispering a gentle “I’m sorry” every now and then. “So now he cares” Chan spoke sarcastically “At least we know he won’t hurt her” I.N said “Yeah but they’re outnumbered. Moon’s injured and he’s just one person, how many people is he going to fight off. We have to move now” Chan said “I don’t know the whole situation, but my guess is that the trade was supposed to be between 3 gangs. And Mark was one of the representatives from his gang, but he didn’t know this was sex trafficking. Apart from Mark I caught one more familiar face, he’s the one who arrived a few minutes ago. He’s a member of Bad Boys” Seungmin told (A/N: So much for originality but I couldn’t think of another gang name) “That makes so much sense now. Bad Boys are known for sex and drug traficking. In the past they've been doing their drug trades with the Yakuza through us due to their broken connections. Last time, they asked us if we could smuggle women, I refused. We never intervened with their trade but it was busted anyway and a lot of their men were jailed. They must’ve thought it was us, that’s why they’re trying to get us” Chan deduced “Seungmin send me the picture of this guy” El said. “Chan that’s not the only reason they’re after us” El said looking at the picture “What do you mean?” Woojin asked “Because he’s the same guy from 5 years ago” she answered "Bity, look at me" Mark said gently stroking her arms, Moon just shook her head and snuggled closer into his chest. "C'mon, what happened to the Bity I know, the one who's always sassing around, the one who always has something smart and witty to say" Mark asked kissing the top of her head. "Stop acting like you care" she said glaring at him "Bity I do ca-" "Don't call me that" Moon said sharply "I know you don’t trust me right now, and you have every right to. But plea-" "Please what Mark? You just threw away a 20 years of relationship over a mere suspicion. You of all people should have believed me". Moon kept throwing insults at him and he just listened knowing he deserved it. "Bity, Bity please, please just listen to me" Mark pleaded, taking her hands in his own. Moon looked at him with pure sorrow. "I know I deserve every word you're saying right now. But please, please don't say you hate me, or that this is the last time I'll ever see you. I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry, and I know saying sorry will never be enough. Hit me, shout and scream at me but please don't say you'll leave, I'll never forgive myself if I lose you. I'll do anything, just don't say that" his voice cracking as he said that. "God, I wanna hate you, I wanna hate you so bad" she said repeatedly punching his chest causing him to let out a small chuckle. "Let's get outta here" he said picking her up "What are you doing, put me down" Moon said "You're injured, you can't get out of here on foot" he simply shrugged "And you plan to fight every guard out there while carrying me. Sounds like a plan" she said sarcastically. "They're bringing out the women" Bree said "Shoot the men, kill every single one. No one gets out alive, they can't know we were here" Chan ordered "We're going in" Changbin said "Me too" Hyunjin added, running towards the building. Woojin and Bree started firing at the men who were bringing out the women as Hyunjin, Changbin and Minho entered the building. "Felix, Anna. How close are you?" Changbin asked "4th floor. Where are you guys?" Felix answered "3rd, almost there" Minho said, shooting the men coming at them "We have to come up wi-" Mark stopped mid sentence hearing the gunshots outside. "We have a problem. Stay here, I'll go check" Mark said cracking open the door to check. Seeing Felix and Hyunjin he immediately closed the door, locking it.
"What's going on?" Moon asked. "It's stray kids" he replied "Another gang?" She pretended "I'm not gonna let them hurt you" he smiled at her pulling out his gun. Her eyes widened, seeing the gun. 'He's gonna hurt them' she thought. "Do you really have to use a gun? Maybe we can quietly wait in here. I don't wanna see any more dead bodies. One is enough for tonight, or a lifetime" she tried to stall him. Suddenly a bullet shot through the door handle "shit" she cursed. "Stay behind me" Mark instructed. The door opened to reveal Hyunjin, Changbin and Felix, Mark raised his gun towards Hyunjin who had his weapon drawn at Mark. The second Mark pulled the trigger Moon pushed his arm, causing the bullet to hit the wall. Hyunjin ran right towards Moon and pulled her in his embrace surprising Moon, "What's this?" She asked confused "An apology. I'm so so sorry for leaving you like that. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions" he whispered in her hair "Well that's a first, HH apologizing to me" she said still shook "It's Hyunjin" he said tightening his hold "Woah there big guy, I'm not a weakling, I'm fine and I'm not dying that easily" she said patting his back "Really? Because 10 minutes ago you were screaming at Mark to kill you" he said pulling away "How'd you kno-what are you doing?" She asked as he was patting her head repeatedly "There it is" he said pulling out the little device "I'm not even gonna ask" she said taking the bug from his hand "So you lied to me?" Mark said looking at the two "Not really. You asked me about the device and I said it wasn't mine, which was true. I first threw mine in the grass but then realized I could get caught so I picked it up and put it in my pocket. The device you found was actually not mine" she said taking out the crushed earpiece from her back pocket and showing it to him "What about the whole fight with the friend story?" "In my defense I wasn't talking to you, so it doesn't really count as lying to you" she defended herself "Oh, so were you also pretending with the whole 'kill me' act as well?" He said raising his voice "Oh no, I was very serious about that, I didn't think anyone was going to come for me and I was- actually still am mad at you for what happened" she screamed back at him "Guys as much as I'd like to watch the two of you argue, we’re not alone, we need to leave quickly" Felix interrupted the two. "How bad is your foot?" Changbin asked Moon "Not too bad, I can walk but I can't run" she answered "Felix, take her to the back where you came in from and get her out, we'll clear the way" Hyunjin said looking at the shorter male "She can't get out on her own, not with her injured like that, it's a small tunnel under the building leading outside and someone will have to pull her out from the outside, otherwise she'll get stuck there. Even if I push her from behind there is only a little possibility of her getting out" Felix explained "And my foot isn't the only thing injured, my hand hurts like hell as well, so I think I should wait here" she said raising her bleeding hand "Let me see" Changbin moved forward grabbing her hand to examine it "How bad is it?" Hyunjin asked "She needs to get treated right now or it'll get infected" Changbin answered "Minho, I need you to go to the back entrance" Changbin spoke into his earpiece "I'm a little busy here, I'll need a few minutes" he groaned back "I'll come" Chan told Changbin "Perfect" he answered "Okay here's the plan. Mark and Hyunjin you're with me, we'll be clearing the path. Felix, you stay behind us with Moon, and as soon as we get to the ground floor, take her to the back, Chan is waiting on the other side, he'll pull her out. Moon, here take this" Changbin explained handing Moon a gun. "Moon?" Mark raised his brow "Long story, will explain later. Let's go" she said, stumbling towards Felix. He grabbed on to her waist “Ready?” he asked looking at her, “Yeah” she replied sucking in a sharp breath. “Wait, Moon put this on your hand for now” Hyunjin said, taking off his leather glove and handing it to her. “Thanks” she said, taking it from him and putting it on slowly, groaning in pain. Luckily there wasn’t anyone on the floor they were on. “Get on my back, it’ll take too much time otherwise” Felix said kneeling in front of her when they reached the stairs. Doing as told Moon wrapped her legs around Felix’s waist and arms around his shoulders. “Hold tight” he said running down the stairs. “Alright, you’ll have to crawl in. I know your hand hurts but you’ll have to bear it for just a little longer, Chan is on the other side, he’ll pull you out. You’ll be safe with him, I promise” Felix told putting Moon down. Moon slowly got in, flinching due to the pain when she put pressure on her hand. “Ahh I’m stuck” she shouted lying on her stomach. “You have to push a little more, your legs aren’t in” Felix said from behind “Just a bit more princess and then grab my hand” Chan said reaching his hand inside. Moon tried reaching for it but she wasn’t near enough. She inhaled sharply and pushed forward, screaming in pain. Reaching forward with her uninjured hand she grabbed Chan’s hand “That’s it” he said slowly pulling her towards himself. With much effort he successfully pulled her out, falling on his back with her on top. “It’s okay. I got you” he whispered, one arm around her waist, the hand caressing her head. Moon took a deep breath, his scent calming her down. “Let’s get you back” he said, sitting up, with her straddling his waist. Moon nodded her head, too overwhelmed by the events to speak. Reaching the van, Chan opened the van door and put Moon inside, “Jeongin, Elivia, one of you treat her wound, I’m going back to them, you all wait here” Chan instructed and took off after closing the van door. Liv moved beside Moon with the First aid kit and took her hand to treat it. “Jeongin, could you please check her foot” she said, removing the glove from Moon’s hand. Jeongin moved in front of Moon and took her leg to inspect it . “It’s nothing major, you just have to rest and let it heal, try not to walk too much for a while. We’ll put some ice on it when we get back” Jeongin said gently twisting her foot right to left to check her movements. “Felix is your brother right?" Moon asked Elivia trying to strike a conversation "Yep that would be correct, Felix and Elexana are my older siblings" she answered "Elexana?" Moon asked confused "El. Short for Elexana" the younger answered "And Liv, short for Elivia" Moon asked "Ding ding ding" Elivia laughed "But no one really uses real names around that much, maybe in serious situations" Seungmin said "So like you all use code names all the time" Moon questioned "Not really, we have nicknames for each other, like my name is Jeongin but most of the time everyone calls me Innie" Jeongin answered "Oh I see" Moon said "Can I hug you?" Liv suddenly asked "Pretty random, but sure" Moon laughed. The younger girl leaped at her and wrapped her arms tightly around her. Moon hugged her back smiling, thinking about her sister. "I'm so glad you're okay" Liv said pulling back "You guys were really worried huh" Moon smiled "If Minho hadn't planted that bug in your hair, it would've taken twice the time to find you and would've been more dangerous" Seungmin said "I guess you guys still didn't trust me" Moon said awkwardly "Not really, it was probably so that if you ran away we'd find you" Jeongin said teasingly looking at Liv who was glaring at him. Moon looked between the two, confusion laced on her face "I was 15 when I joined, more like, had to join, and I often tried to run away. Seeing you took your father's place, we often thought that you'd run away to be with your family. That's why he planted the bug" Liv explained "I'm not really mad though, it's quite understandable" Moon shrugged "I think they're here." Seungmin said looking out the window. A few seconds later the van door opened revealing all the boys and Mark with cuts and blood all over. "So? What happened" Liv asked "What happened is, two people got away. Two most problematic ones" Jisung answered. "Oh my God, we were worried sick about you" El said, throwing herself at Moon, hugging her tightly, Moon just grinned sheepishly at her and did a peace sign when the two pulled apart. Bree went straight to Mark and punched him right in the face. "What was that for?" He asked, holding his jaw. "You should know that" she simply replied, moving to Moon and hugging her next. "I'm fine guys, alive and breathing, no need to get all worked up" Moon laughed "You were just tortured!!" Woojin exclaimed "Eh, nothing out of the ordinary" she shrugged "Are you real?" Jisung asked "I grew up in an abusive household, this wasn't something new. Not gonna lie though, the knife in the hand caught me off guard, but I figured this wasn't something I should make a big deal about, considering I was held by a gangster" she explained "You were crying the whole time" Mark said "Emotional pain. I couldn't believe the fact that you just stood there while he did as he pleased" she answered looking straight into his eyes. Mark hung his head low, sighing deeply "I'm really sorry, I know no matter how many times I say that, it's not going to be enough and there are no excuses for my actions because what I did was very low" he said. Moon stood up from her seat and stumbled towards him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her head in his chest. The sudden move surprised him but nonetheless he hugged back. "I'm still mad at you. But I forgive you. It'll take time for me to trust you again but I'll try" she told him "I know, and I'll do anything to gain it" he replied, kissing the top of her head. Chan's heart felt uneasy looking at the whole interaction, he felt jealous and touched at the same time. Jealous that he might never have what Mark has with her and touched about how she forgave him so easily, knowing that if it was him in her place, he would've chosen differently. "Are you going to come with us?" Woojin asked Mark, who was helping Moon back in her seat. "Thank you for the offer, but I've called Jinyoung, he'll be here in a while" Mark answered "Please tell me you don't tell him about me" Moon said, eyes wide "Too bad for you Bity, you have a lot of explaining to do" he said patting her head. Moon groaned burying her head in her palms "I'm so dead" "How'd she get the nickname Bity?" Anna asked "Well for me, I've known her since the day she was born, and we used to play a lot hide and seek until she was 13, it was her favourite game, since she could win easily seeing how tiny she was and could fit everywhere. I once found her in a storage drawer" he said, making everyone laugh "And so I started calling her Itsy Bitsy first and as we grew older she'd always complain that the name was childish, but since she is still very tiny I call her Bity, we all do" Mark explained pinching Moon's cheeks. "I'll break off your arm" she said swatting his hand away, causing everyone to laugh. Chan couldn't help but feel tense at the interaction between the two. After 30 minutes of conversing with each other, a car pulled up behind the two vans. Two guys came out of it and Moon's color drained out of her face "Great, he brought Jaebum" she groaned "I never knew you were afraid of someone" Hyunjin nudged her "That's mom and dad right there and this right here is my older brother, now watch the two go at me. This is going to be so embarrassing" Moon said "Good luck" Mark said Before Moon could say anything Jinyoung lunged forward and punched Mark. Moon screamed getting up to stop the two but Jaebum grabbed her arm and pulled her back “Let them” he said “But he’s gonna kill him. MARK WHY AREN’T YOU DEFENDING YOURSELF” Moon screamed “Because he knows he deserves it.” Jinyoung answered, attacking Mark. “Let me go!” Moon forcefully removed herself from Jaebum’s hold and ran between the two. She stood in front of Mark shielding him, Jinyoung’s fist stopped mid air, “Move, I don’t want to hurt you” Jinyoung gritted. “No, he’s hurt enough, he’s learned his lesson. He may not have helped me but if it weren’t for him I may not even be standing here. So please stop. You know how much I hate it when someone fights because of me” Moon looked at Jinyoung with a stern yet soft expression. He lowered his fist and sighed deeply. “You have shitload of explaining to do as well young lady” Jaebum spoke “There it is” Moon mumbled “What?” Jinyoung asked “Nothing” she said looking at him innocently “Doing a job huh? Related to computers huh?” Jaebum said “Hey! I didn’t lie, it is a job and I am the tech person” Moon defended herself “Tech person is supposed to be in the van, why were you outside?” Jinyoung questioned “Van is too boring, wanted some action so decided why not try the field, tonight was supposed to be my training” she shrugged “You will never learn, will you?” Jaebum shook his head “We can’t stop you, but, please be careful, next time you may not get lucky” Jinyoung said sighing. Jaebum turned towards Stray Kids who were just awkwardly watching the whole interaction. “You’re the leader right?” he asked pointing towards Chan “Yeah” Chan answered “You take care of her alright.” Jaebum said “I sure will” Chan answered “Thanks Dad, but don’t worry, I’m in good hands” Moon spoke sarcastically
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been two weeks since the event, Moon’s bruises had almost faded out. Over this time she had gotten a lot closer to all the members. Moon was currently roaming the mansion, bored with nothing to do. Having nothing better to do, she decided to watch television. Grabbing herself some snacks from the kitchen Moon got comfortable on the couch. As she was scrolling through the channels El came and sat down beside her, “Watchu watching?” she asked “Nothing, there’s nothing good” Moon replied turning off the television and turned towards El “Gosh I’m so bored, any recommendation on what I should do, I’m this close to pulling my hair out due to boredom” Moon said, showing her her fingers almost touching. “I’d say get a boyfriend, they’re good entertainment, trust me, I’m speaking from experience” El winked at the younger girl “Well, since I don’t have a boyfriend, any other suggestions” Moon asked “What about Chan? You’ve been eyeing him lately” El wiggled her brows. Moon just threw a cushion at her hiding her red face. “What are you girls talking about?” Chan spoke, suddenly taking a seat beside Moon. “I was ju-” El started “She was just telling me about how she and Woojin got together” Moon said glaring at the older girl “Come to the infirmary when she’s done, I’ll treat your ears when they start bleeding” Chan laughed getting up, El took the same cushion and threw it at Chan who caught it with ease and stuck his tongue out. “Reminds you too much of your single life” El called out to Chan’s disappearing figure “I can’t hear you” he shouted back waving his hands “Honestly, just ask him to be your boyfriend already, you’d be having mercy on his poor soul” El laughed “Can I ask you a question? It’s been bothering me for a while now” Moon asked changing the topic “Go for it” El said “Who was the guy, the one you said from 5 years ago. When we were coming back 2 weeks ago, Jisung was saying something about a guy who got away and you said he was the same one from 5 years ago” Moon questioned “It’s a long story. You sure you're up for it?” El asked “Yeah, I haven’t got anything to do so why not” Moon shrugged “6 years back, Elivia and I moved back from Australia. Felix had already been here before us and had joined a gang. I didn’t know that, and when I found out, I gave him a good piece of my mind, especially because he had told our parents that he got a stable job here as a manager at a company. Anyways long story short he promised not to get the two of us involved, mainly because Elivia was only 14. I wasn’t involved with any of their activities or anything, but I did meet up with them. I started working at a cafe so I could afford an apartment of my own. My parents were already sending a lot of money for us sisters and I wanted to make things easier for them. Felix often came to visit the cafe time to time, sometimes alone, sometimes with one of the members. Everything was going pretty smoothly until someone found out about me. I asked Felix to stop visiting for a while for Elivia's safety. But that didn’t work. Felix asked me to join the gang, but I didn’t want to put Elivia through that so I refused and the inevitable happened. I was working late one night and I asked Elivia to stay with me as I didn't want her to be alone at night. When I was closing up, a few men came out of nowhere and attacked, since we were alone and couldn’t fight back, they took us. I didn’t see anyone’s face except one’s, and that was the same guy who was at the trade 2 weeks ago” El explained “Oh, so you and Liv joined the gang after Felix got you out” Moon said “It was for the best, our parents still don’t know” El answered “What about your mom? What does she know and do you have any siblings?” El asked “I have a younger sister, we’re two years apart. My mom thinks one of my clients offered me a job and I’m doing that” Moon answered “What about your sister?” she asked “She knows the same as my mom. But since she owns her own clothing line, she’s away most of the time so I didn’t really have to worry about explaining to her” Moon answered “Do you miss them?” “Yeah I do.” “Even you’re dad?” “It’s quite complicated, but yeah I do” Moon answered “Where are you going?” El asked Chan who was all dressed up walking towards the door “Just some work” he answered and walked away only to stop midway “Moon you wanna come with me? You can meet your parents while I run my errand. I’m going to that area” Chan asked walking back to the girls “Really?” Moon asked, her face lit up with excitement. Chan’s heart softened at the sight “Of Course. It’s been so long, hasn’t it” Chan said “Please just wait two minutes, I’ll just change my shirt and be back quickly.” Moon said, jumping up from the couch and running to her room. “She’s so pure, I love her” El smiled “I know” Chan said, reciprocating the smile Moon came running back in a white tee and black skinnies with her hair up in a high ponytail. “Let’s go” she said
"Do you miss your parents?" Moon asked, trying to strike a conversation as Chan drove silently. In all honesty, she was just trying to distract herself from the handsome man sitting in the driver's seat beside her. With his hands on the steering wheel, the veins in his arms popped out. His jaw was tight as he focused on the road ahead, making him look absolutely hot. Moon was practically drooling over the sight. “Yeah I do. But knowing that they’re safe now, it’s a lot easier to deal with being away from them” he answered “Safe now?” Moon questioned “Well, the Gang originally belonged to my grandfather, maybe went generations back” Chan answered “So you basically inherited the gang” Moon stated “Technically yes and no at the same time” Chan said “What’s that supposed to mean?” she laughed “Boy you ask a lot of questions” Chan smiled at her “Sorry” she sheepishly grinned “When my grandfather was managing the gang, from the stories I’ve heard, things used to be very violent and gruesome. My dad didn’t like it and he wanted to leave, he often tried to run away, but connections were very strong so he never succeeded. Dad met mom during an important trade, she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. The other gang members wanted to kill her because she was a witness. But my dad didn’t want to hurt an innocent. So he told the others that he’d kill her and took her away. He hid her away and told everyone he killed her and disposed of the body so no one would question it. Time to time he’d visit her to check up on her, and in that time they fell in love, it was inevitable to be honest. They had a court marriage and ran away, claimed asylum in Australia and started their life there. Dad became a swimming instructor for special people and opened his own swimming club and mom helped dad with all the work. They had me and Anessa and things were going good until my brother was born. I was 15, Anessa was 9 and my brother was 3 years old when the gang members attacked our house. No one died, but dad was badly injured. Things had gone downhill for the gang and my grandfather thought that my father had something to do with it so they attacked him. My dad tried telling him that he had nothing to do with it but his father didn’t believe him, especially seeing that my mother was the woman my dad had claimed to have killed years ago. Eventually, my dad made a deal to go back to the gang given that his family stayed safe. My grandfather agreed on the terms that we all left Australia and went back with him. A year after that, my grandfather passed away and the gang was in my dad’s hand. My dad had the chance of leaving but it wasn’t easy. Slowly one by one, he started asking the members to leave, many of them declined and tried to kill my father, others my dad paid, so they left quietly. By this time, Anessa and I had started going to school and started our life. I met the boys in high school. Jisung and Seungmin were family friends, seeing that their older brothers were also in a gang. I turned 18 and dad was almost done finishing the gang, but life is funny and he had made a lot of enemies so he couldn’t leave again. So I intervened, told him that I could take over and he could leave and live his life the way he wanted. It was hard to convince him but eventually he agreed. From there, I asked the boys if they were willing to join and one by one, they came by. Took me a year to build up the reputation. It wasn't easy. I had to kill a lot of people, buy I was taught to never hurt an innocent, so I tracked down people who ploted against my father and killed them. Any potential threath I had that could harm my family or the ones I love, I started removing them. To the world I’m a monster who ruthlessly kills anything in my way, and I like it that way. That way people know not to mess with the ones I love. Now my parents are happily living in Australia without having to worry about anyone attacking them.” Chan told his story as he drove on the busy roads. “And I thought I had it rough” Moon whispered “It’s okay to think that, you said it yourself, everyone has a story” Chan said smiling softly at her “So to the world you’re the beast when in reality you’re just a prince looking out for his kingdom” Moon said “What’s with everyone comparing life to disney movies lately” Chan laughed “No I was just saying, kinda makes sense tho. Don’t you think?” she replied “If I’m the beast, does that make you my Beauty?” he asked smirking “Wh-why-what?” she stuttered “Because it makes sense. Ironic though, how you came looking for your father and in order to save him you took his place” he said “Let’s go” He said stopping in front of a bakery “Where are we?” she asked confused “Are you going to meet your parents after a year empty handed?” he asked getting off the car Moon looked at him weirdly before exiting and following him inside the bakery.
Parking the car in front of Moon's house, Chan took out his phone to check the time. "Alright, that's my que to leave" he said "When will you pick me up" Moon asked, fixing her hair. Chan looked at her mesmerized. Instead of answering, he unbuckled his seat belt and pulled Moon towards him. Putting a hand on her cheek he slowly leaned in "Can I?" He whispered, their lips only centimeters apart. Moon slowly nodded her head giving him consent. Chan leaned forward and removed the space between them, gently working his mouth on hers, his hands made their way to her waist and held her tight. One of Moon's hand went to his head and her fingers threaded in his soft locks, gently pulling on them, evoking a deep groan from him,her other hand on his neck pulling him closer. A few moments later Chan pulled back to catch his breath, both their faces red and lips swollen. "I'll be back in two to three hours." He whispered, pecking her lips again. Moon nodded her head, not trusting her voice and exited the car taking with her the cake she bought for her parents. Feeling light headed and giddy she started walking towards her house to surprise her parents
Pls pls can u do a Monty x oc, you’re with your friends & they keep teasing u asking u who’s this guy you’re so in love with and when u tell them it’s Monty their faces fall and they start giving u crap about him so u defended him and told them that u didn’t care what they thought explaining that u won’t justify your relationship with him, you end up choosing Monty over your friends & later when u meet up with him you know you’ve made the right choice💕
I met my friends after school at Rosie’s for milkshakes as per our usual Friday afternoon tradition. I got there first, so I sat at our usual table near the door and pulled out my phone. As I grabbed it, it buzzed and I saw Monty send me a text, have a good time with your friends Liv. Maybe order something different this week. Could be fun for you. I’ll see you in a bit. I love you. Smiling to myself, I quickly responded.
You too. What would you suggest oh master of milkshakes? See you after. Don’t worry, I’ll update you on all goings on in the Clay hole. I love you too.
Maybe try a vanilla milkshake. Oh joy. I’m so looking forward to that….
I had to hold back a laugh at his suggestion. I’m sorry, did you just suggest vanilla? YOU suggested vanilla?
That’s about the only thing I suggest be vanilla, little miss. I felt my face heat and didn’t respond.
“Hey Olive.” Clay greeted as he sat down.
“Hey Clay. Where’s Tony?”
“He had to work. His dad needed him at the shop.”
“Okay, Justin is coming today, right?”
As soon as the words left my mouth, the bell above the door dinged and Justin walked in, his letterman once again around his shoulders. I missed that look on him. Jess was tucked under his arm and she smiled brightly.
“Hey guys. Make room.” He said as they sat down. Jess sat across from me as Justin sat beside me.
“Hey Jess.” I greeted her.
“Hey Olivia.” She responded, the smile on her face falling slightly. She still wasn’t fully comfortable with my friendship with Justin. Little does she know, he’s not even on my radar. We chatted a bit before Marie came to take our order. Since we wait for our whole group to arrive before we order our shakes, we settled on an order of fries while we waited.
A while after we got our fries and talked amongst ourselves, the last two of our little group showed up.
“Scooch over Justin, my turn to sit with Livy.” Zach joked, pushing Justin aside. Alex laughed behind him. After some rearranging, we were all seated comfortably in the small, yet somehow accommodating booth. I was sandwiched between Justin and Zach. Marie came over again and took our orders. As usual, Clay and Justin got chocolate, Jess got strawberry, Alex got peanut butter cup, Zach got chocolate strawberry. When it was my turn to order, I took Monty’s advice and ordered vanilla. My friends looked at me like I had sprung another head or something. Marie furrowed her brow at me but wrote it down when I nodded at her. We also ordered another fries to snack on.
“Vanilla? What about your usual chocolate orange?” Alex asked.
“Decided to try something different.” I shrugged.
“Okay Olivia. But if you don’t like it, you still have to drink it.” Justin told me.
“Sure thing Dad.” I teased with a roll of my eyes. The group laughed along with us and my phone buzzed. Deciding to be polite and not check my phone at the table, I ignored it. After we had gotten our milkshakes and fries, we chatted idly for a while until my phone buzzed again. And then again.
“Someone’s popular.” Clay said. I chuckled as I looked at my phone. If someone is texting me that fast in succession, it could be important. I blushed as I saw that it was a couple of random texts from Monty, about something he was watching on tv. Hiding my phone from my friend’s view I typed a quick reply, I’m with my friends. I’ll talk to you in a while. Love you.
When I looked up, my friends were smirking at me. “What?” I asked, “Is there something on my face?”
“Yeah. Red splotches.” Clay said plainly.
I threw a fry at him and he looked affronted. I threw another one and he caught it in his mouth. Changing the subject, I asked him, “so what’s going on in the Clay hole?”
“Ah, you know, Justin has years of annoying brother stuff to catch up on. So that basically.”
“Hey, I only do it because I love you. You know that.”
“Mhmm, I know. That’s why you leave lasagna from three days ago on the counter in our room.”
Justin merely shrugged and stuck his fry in his shake.
“Dude, that’s gross. Also, don’t leave food out. That’s also gross.” I chided.
“It’s delicious Liv. And yes Mom.”
“I’m sure Lainie feels the same way, yes.”
He threw a fry at me and I caught it in my mouth triumphantly. My phone buzzed a few more times and I ignored them. A few minutes later, it buzzed again, and I took a quick peek. Can’t wait till I get you alone and we can discuss exactly why vanilla is only good as an ice cream flavour. One text read. Another read, I’m only half sorry about that. Mostly because you know it’s true. I felt my face heat again before a smile spread across my face as I read another text, But really. I can’t wait to see you soon beautiful. I didn’t answer him and instead, locked my phone again. Looking up, my friends were once again staring at me. I took a long sip of my milkshake in lieu of responding. This isn’t actually all that bad…. “Vanilla shake, more smiling, running off as soon as school is done.” Alex mused.
“She gets more than one drink at Monet’s in the morning too.” Zach muttered.
“Changed our tutoring to lunch. A lot more texts when we are together.” Justin added.
“What’s his name?” Jess asked.
I took another sip before answering, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Right. And so if there’s nothing, explain why you don’t pull your hair up as often anymore.” Clay implored. Maybe he’s not as oblivious as we all thought.
“Guys, it’s nothing. My cousin is coming into town and my mom just wanted to make sure everything was in order.”
“Livy. Your mom has never texted you that much. And your cousin doesn’t make you smile. I believe there was a story of the time you cut the heads off of her barbies for pushing you in the mud.”
“She ruined my favourite shirt Zach. She had it coming.”
“I don’t deny she did. But you can’t expect us to believe that there is no one. You’re different. Who is he?”
I paused before pulling my hair back into a low ponytail. There was a small hickey just under my ear. “No… Olivia. No.” Justin muttered when he saw it.
“What?” Clay and Alex asked together.
I took a very long sip of my shake and took a deep breath before responding, “Yes Justin.”
“No. I refuse to believe it.”
“What? Who are you talking about?” Zach asked, not seeing the man’s mark on me.
“I-it’s Monty….” I stuttered quietly. There was a pregnant pause before Jess burst out laughing.
“That… that’s funny. There’s no way he would go for a girl like you.” She said. That’s only slightly rude. I made no sound of defence or any attempt to answer. “Wait. Seriously?” She continued, her eyes darting around the table. I simply gave a small nod. Again, it was quiet while my friends digested the information they were just given. Their faces had all fallen.
“Monty? Honestly Olivia?” Alex stated but I could tell he intended it to be a question.
“Yeah.”
“He’s a dick.” Clay said.
“He’s violent as shit.” Zach added.
“He’s not very smart.” Jess muttered.
“He’s mean Liv. I thought you were smarter than that.” Justin chided.
The group’s list of reasons why he is all wrong for me went on and on until I couldn’t stand to listen to their bullshit anymore. “Okay. I understand you are mad. That is fine. What is not fine, is you sitting here and talking shit about the man that I love.”
“You love him?” Clay asked, dumbfounded.
“Yes. I do. And he loves me.”
Jess huffed out a laugh, “please Olivia. Montgomery wouldn’t know love if it bit him in the ass. He is incapable of feeling it.” That’s it.
“Fuck you.” I said plainly to her. She stared at me her mouth open in shock.
“Olivia!” Justin gasped.
“No Justin. Listen to me. You are all being ridiculous. I know you have this idea of what Montgomery is like. He has a temper, yes. He has shitty coping mechanisms. He uses violence to feel something he can’t express verbally. It’s not healthy and he knows that. We are working on it. And before any of you ask, no. I do not think he would ever hurt me. Oh and since you all seem to think he’s an idiot, he isn’t. He is actually very smart. I don’t deny that he has issues. But don’t act like none of you have issues. Clay, you have this idea where any information that doesn’t fit what you think a person is like, must be wrong. You’re idealistic in a way that is not only reckless but makes you look like a dumbass. Justin, you’re an addict. I know you’re in recovery and it’s hard sometimes, but I also know that you understand the adage of ‘once an addict, always an addict’. Zach, you’re a pushover. You want to please everyone. Unless it doesn’t suit you. Then you are an ass to everyone because you want to keep your butt clean. Don’t act like me dating Monty and not telling you is any different than what you did to Hannah after that summer. Alex, I don’t think I need to explain your issues. And you Jessica, you were fucking Justin while you were dating Alex. And you’re jealous that Justin and I are friends. So, don’t fucking sit here and act like you are any less fucked up than he is. Just because he deals with it in a way you wouldn’t, doesn’t make him a bad person. I don’t need to sit here, and fucking justify my relationship to any of you.”
My friends sat in shock at my outburst. I could feel the blood rushing in my head as I took a breath. “You really feel that way?” Zach asked.
“Yes.” I said bluntly.
“Well in that case,” Alex started.
“Don’t make me choose.” I told them.
“Why not?” Clay demanded.
“Well for one thing, its fucking childish. And for another thing, you won’t like my choice.”
They were silent in response. That’s my answer then. As I grabbed my bag, Zach stood up to let me out of the booth. I took one last look at my friends before putting cash to cover my drink and portion of the fries on the table and turning to walk away. I texted Monty when I got in the car, can you come over please? I need you.
He replied almost immediately, give me ten minutes. I’ll be right there Liv.
I got to my house a few minutes later and got myself a cup of water before going upstairs to reapply my perfume. I caught sight of a few pictures of the group of us on my shelf, the seven of us including Tony at one formal or another, the six of us goofing off in the park, Justin and I after he got back from rehab. Fucking best friends my ass. Before I could stop myself, I gathered the photos in my arms and took them downstairs. Clearing a space in my living room and moving the area rug, I snapped. I threw the pictures one by one to the ground, the glass shattering or cracking and the frames breaking at the impact. When I went to throw another one, my front door opened. I heard Monty’s voice in the distance, “Olivia?” He walked over to me, being careful of the glass littering the hardwood. I felt his arms wrap around me, “hey hey. It’s okay. You’re okay.” I felt myself slump into his strong arms as tears filled my eyes. Taking the picture from my hand, he placed it on the couch. He held me tightly and walked me to the couch and pulled me into his lap, “shhhh. It’s okay. Everything is okay. Just breathe, I’m right here.” He soothed.
Once my crying subsided, I was able to find my voice again, “I t-told them about you.”
“Okay.”
“A-and they… they.” I hiccupped. I felt his arms tense around me.
“What did they do Liv?”
“They were horrible. They hate me Monty. They made me choose.”
“They what?” His anger was evident in his tone.
“They made me choose. It was them or you. And I couldn’t… I couldn’t choose them if that’s how they were going to act like that when I fall in love with someone.”
He kissed the top of my head and held me until I was calm enough to stand. “You go change. I’ll go get the broom and we can clean this up, what do you say?”
“Mkay.” I said, numbly. By the time I had come back down, the pictures were gone, and he was in the process of sweeping up the mess. I went to grab the hand vacuum and cleaned up the microscopic bits the broom missed. Once the living room was back in order, Monty queued up my favourite movie and we cuddled on the couch. Definitely made the right choice. I’ll worry about the fallout on Monday.
Loud (C.H.)
Final part of Wet!
Summary: They finally bang.
Warning: SMUT
Words: 5,4k
Important note: This is all fiction and it’s written the way it is because it is supposed to be hot. What’s not hot are STDs you can catch in real life. So you all have fun but play it safe.
“I really enjoyed the time we sent together. This is my number. Hit me up so we can have more fun. xxx.”
“I knew she would be interested in coming for more,” Ashton chuckled after he read the note he had found aloud.
It made Calum peek out of the bathroom with a toothbrush still in his mouth.
He would be lying if he said that he wasn’t disappointed when he found out she had sneaked out in the morning without a single word. Avoiding Ashton was one thing, but it wouldn’t have hurt her if she had paid him a short visit so they could agree on the next time they would see each other. It really seemed that she would be into that.
Maybe she had changed her mind though. That happened sometimes. He would live on. But hearing this sparked his interest.
“What did she say again?” Calum asked, walking into the kitchen to join his friend to understand him clearer.
Ashton was more than happy to repeat it.
“I told you we had a great time.” He winked at him.
That made no sense. The note couldn’t be for Ashton. No fucking way.
“That little weirdo put it under a box of cereals. I wouldn’t even find it if I hadn’t knocked it over by an accident when getting my oats.” Ashton shook his head in disbelief while the slightest of smiles began to tug on Calum’s lips.
He spat the toothpaste into the sink so he could talk better.
“She probably just didn’t want to leave it lying around so it wouldn’t get lost,” Calum suggested. He shrugged his shoulders carelessly while he tried to stop the wide-ass grin from appearing on his face. His glance wandering off to the small piece of paper that was placed on the counter right next to Ashton.
He was literally just one step away from learning her number and texting her that he would love to have more fun with her.
“Good. I would hate to lose this,” Ashton admitted, smiling smugly. “Man, you should have seen her. She was basically dripping when I was taking her panties…”
Calum decided not to listen any further. He didn’t want to hear that. Staring in front of him, he was practically hypnotising the little note and thinking about how great it was going to be when he would get to undress her himself.
A swift movement from Ashton caught him out of his trance though as he grabbed it and shoved it into his pocket.
“Shit. I am seeing Harry in ten. He’s gonna be such a pain if I show up late again.” The older of the boys stormed out of the kitchen and started picking up all his necessities, which were scattered around the living room.
“You and Liv are still fucking?”
“Here and there. Why?” Calum asked him once he had moved to the living room as well, mentally praying that his friend would leave the note at home or it would fall out onto the floor.
“Maybe you should call her. Find out if you could stop at her place tonight. So you don’t have to be hiding in your room the whole night when she comes for more. I will let you know though. Who knows, she may be busy tonight. In that case, we could have the boys come over, huh, what do you think?”
“Sounds great.”
“Okay. See ya.” With that, the front door shut behind him.
Fuck.
For the next week, Calum honestly went out of his way trying to get that number. He had even done Ashton’s laundry, hoping the dumbass left the piece of paper in his pocket.
Unfortunately, he didn’t and even if Calum lowered himself to the point to search through his phone, there were not enough opportunities to do so since it didn’t leave Ashton’s side often.
The only thing that stopped him from feeling miserable was knowing that she hadn’t met up with Ashton yet. He wouldn’t stop complaining about it. Apparently he had asked her out countless times already, but she turned down all of his suggestions, saying they don’t work with her schedule.
Which was a lie. Calum knew that. She had told him about how busy she had been, trying to juggle and do well at the multiple projects she had in progress. An era of peace was supposed to come now since she was done with some of them. He remembered her mentioning she was rather unsure what was she going to do with all the free time she would have on her hands.
She had the time to hang out with Ashton. She just didn’t want to. And that made him feel pretty damn happy.
It was Saturday afternoon when the doorbell echoed loudly through the apartment. For a moment, Calum didn’t even consider picking himself up from the couch. It wasn’t like he was expecting someone. The person at the door was probably just some salesperson, or the lady living across from them who was constantly angry with everyone and everything. He didn’t want to be dealing with either of them.
But the ringing simply wouldn’t stop. It almost seemed as if the person, whoever it was, was leaning against the damn thing, not allowing Calum to catch at least a second long break.
As annoyed as one could be in a situation like this, he shot up onto his feet to finally get the door. Calum’s mouth was wide open as he was gathering enough breath so he could give the person a long-ass talking to, but when he opened the door, no word actually left his chest.
She stood there in front of him, one of her hands truly leaning against the button on the wall. She pulled her hand away when she noticed him and he could swear she had looked him up and down.
Maybe he should have put on some sweatpants earlier and not walk up to her only in his underwear.
He was too stunned to say something, and she didn’t give him an exactly warm greeting either, even though that she had taken upon his silent invitation and stepped inside after he had motioned for her to get in.
“What is it about this apartment that it makes the men living in here completely incompetent?” She wanted to know.
Calum wasn’t sure what to answer to that, but that didn’t matter anyway since she just kept on talking.
“One promises me an experience I will keep coming back to in my mind for the rest of my life, when in fact he couldn’t make me come even once and I had to think about his friend to make myself get there later. And the other can’t even find the fucking note I leave for him so now I have this disappointing one-night stand blowing up my phone…”
“You got yourself off while thinking about me?” A huge, smug grin grew on his face. Calum wasn’t even ashamed to admit that he didn’t catch anything coming after that.
“That was not the point right now.” She shook her head while he kept smiling at her. It was this part which had intrigued him the most and even she noticed that. “I can get back to that if you give me a second,” she promised before she let out a sigh. “Why didn’t you call me? The note was not for him.”
“I know,” he nodded, honestly feeling a bit small under her eyes, which were piercing through him. “He found it before me. I tried to get it from him after but…” Calum shrugged. What more was there to say? He had failed. They both knew that. “I am sorry,” he added and flashed her a tiny apologetic smile.
“What are you doing here?”
“Ashton’s gone because of work. And he won’t be coming back until late tonight,” she told him something he already knew.
“A tragedy has happened. I can’t find the keys from my friend’s flat. And I really need them. This is the last place where I remember having them for sure. They had slipped out of my bag once when we arrived. Maybe I didn’t put them back into my pocket as carefully as I thought I did…” She scratched the back of her head.
“He told me that you are at home. So I could stop by and look for them if it’s that urgent that it won’t wait until he’s here.” She shrugged her shoulders when she was done with explaining. Calum watched her for a minute, chewing on the inside of his cheek while he stood there with his arms crossed on his chest.
“There are no keys, are there?” He questioned, even though that he was sure he already knew the answer.
“Nope,” she said, popping out the ‘p’ and shook her head a little. “Well, there are but they are safe at my place,” she added.
He was in awe and he couldn’t stop himself from grinning like the fool he was. “I really can’t believe you right now,” he chuckled.
“What other choice did I have after you screwed u-.”
“I did not. Anyone could have found that note. You left it in the kitchen!”
“Under your cereal! Where else was I supposed to leave it? Should have I sneak into your bedroom while you were sleeping like some creep?”
For a moment, he didn’t say anything. He guessed that he understood her point. “To be honest, I wouldn’t have minded getting woken up by that at all,” Calum admitted, shaking his head.
“You wouldn’t?”
She didn’t get an answer for that since he erased the distance between them and hurried to kiss her, his large hands cupping her face.
***
After how long she had waited for this, for his plump lips pressing against hers before they would part so their tongues could meet just like they did about a week ago, she didn’t hesitate for even a second before kissing him back eagerly.
Her hand settled on his side and dug into his hip as they were making out. From how impatient his mouth was she guessed that it wasn’t only her who couldn’t move on and forget about what had happened between them in the kitchen.
“Do you ever wear shirts?” she muttered against him between the kisses once her fingers rode up slightly and the only thing she got to touch was his warm, soft skin. It was feeling just as nice she had remembered.
He chuckled quietly before dragging his tongue over her lips. It met hers again only a second later. “I can put one on for you,” he suggested playfully after they pulled away from each other momentarily.
It wasn’t like she minded his state of undress, of course. In fact, even if he was wearing a shirt right now, it wouldn’t stay on for much longer.
She wanted to feel and touch as much of his strong body as she could. The easiest way to achieve that was taking her own top off. Her hand had just reached down to grab the hem, but Calum was faster.
They had to interrupt their kiss when he pulled it over her head, but as soon as her mouth was visible again, he sucked her lip in between his own.
The shirt got stuck on her wrists and he fumbled with it for a while before simply giving up. Instead, he went to grip the thigh of the leg which she had already wrapped around him, trying to keep him close. Taking her other leg into his hands as well, he lifted her up from her feet.
One of his palms travelled to her ass after she secured her position on him by wrapping her legs around his torso. She let her bounded arms fall down around his neck and a soft moan escaped her mouth when his lips moved lower.
Goosebumps arose on her skin when he stopped, his hot breath hitting the area between her breasts.
“What exactly were you thinking of when touching yourself back then?” Calum asked her, breathing heavily.
She had completely forgotten that she had said anything about this out loud, but he clearly hadn’t. As she looked down at him, she gulped, needing a moment calm herself down enough and stop the panting so she could answer him.
“I’ll tell you later. So you know what you should improve.” She smiled softly at him and made the corners of his mouth twitch with a smile too.
Calum nodded shortly. “Okay. I can work with that,” he agreed, causing her to gasp a little when he dipped his head down and sucked on the skin on one of her breasts.
His hands were squeezing her ass roughly. The grip seemed to even tighten when he started to walk towards his bedroom.
He kicked the door closed behind them with his foot and with her still in his arms Calum took a seat on his bed.
Once she was sitting on his lap, she released his neck and dropped her hands down in between them. Finally, he helped her to get the shirt off, tossing it somewhere behind him and got her out of her bra before he smiled up at her.
“Where were we?”
She didn’t answer him and just rolled her hips against him, making him groan.
“I want to fuck you so bad.”
“I can feel that,” she replied with a smirk before doing the exact move she did just a second ago. In those boxers he wouldn’t be able to hide the hard-on he had no matter how he would try.
Calum quickly realised that her comment was mocking what he had said in the kitchen the other day and he scoffed a little at that.
Without a warning he rolled them around which resulted in her lying on her back now. He shot her a smug grin before lowering his head down and closing his mouth around her nipple. His thumb then rubbed over the glistening bud while his lips moved to the other one.
She didn’t even notice that his other hand had travelled down as she was focusing mostly on the pleasure she was receiving from his hungry mouth. It was only when she noticed that her jeans became looser at her hips and soon after that a curious hand sneaked into her panties. She couldn’t help but squirm.
His fingers rubbed circles on her clit before he let it slide lower, making her bite her lip in an attempt to stop the desperate whimper from slipping out when they teased her entrance.
Her nipples were both hard right now, and she was in fucking heaven when Calum was sucking on them or kissing the skin nearby. She loved when he lightly licked over them before taking them in between his lips and his teeth.
It was embarrassing how many times she had already imagined his fingers doing exactly this. Eventually, her mouth fell open as the excitement in undoubtedly started to build up. With every hot licking sound that had reached her ears as his tongue continued playing with her tits, the sensation in the pit of her stomach intensified. How could it not? He read her body so well. Once she had begun to buckle her hips to get more friction from his hand, he understood the cue and picked up the pace automatically.
Two of his fingers were quickly moving in and out of her and her legs shivered. When a quiet plead left her mouth, asking him to keep his fingers where they were right now because she was close, he listened. He kept pressing up at her walls, touching the sweet spot while his thumb drew slow circles on her clit.
“Have you thought about this?” He wondered against her skin and glanced up to her face.
“Maybe,” she admitted in between those shaky breaths she was letting out.
Calum smiled.
“Have you fingered yourself, imagining it was making you cum?”
She didn’t have it in her to form a coherent sentence as the pressure became too much and drove her over the edge.
His hand remained inside her even a short moment after the orgasm washed away. She noticed more juices spilling out when Calum pulled his fingers out and he drew another moan out of her as he was quick enough to gather them and spread them around her folds, lightly touching her clit as well in the process.
After that, he finally tugged her jeans down along with her panties.
“Come here,” she breathed out as she sat up, motioning for him to move closer. The situation wasn’t exactly fair now when she was completely naked in front of him, her skin still burning after what had just happened. She hooked her fingers around the waistband of his boxers and pushed down, making them equal.
Without giving him a second to step out of those, she reached her hand out to touch his throbbing cock, already getting down to her knees.
“Well, isn’t this nice,” she hummed out with a tiny smile as she stroked him, using her spit so the hand would slide over it with ease. After a moment she looked up to see his face, he was staring down at her, chewing onto his bottom lip.
“You and Ashton are very good friends. Right?”
He nodded his head slowly.
“Did he tell you about me?”
Another gentle nod.
“So you know that I haven’t sucked him off…”
“I wasn’t really listening,” Calum admitted after he took in a deep breath.
“Guess he wouldn’t last if I did,” she wondered, continuing to touch him. “I didn’t really mind that to be honest.”
“But it would be a shame not get a taste of this. What do you think?”
She didn’t wait for his answer, but her actions were not forceful by any means. If he wouldn’t like this to happen, he could easily push her away. She could imagine it was the last thing on his mind at that moment though, considering the sounds he produced when she took him into her mouth.
The gasp he made was so audible even she could hear it. She thought of it as an encouragement to continue blowing him just like this. She sucked and rolled her tongue around the head for a while, her hands taking care of the shaft until the moment when she flattened her tongue and took more of him inside her mouth.
He was murmuring softly the whole time, telling her how nice this was while brushing her hair away from her face. She lured a groan out of him when she took him even deeper and she smiled to herself once she had pulled all the way back to flick her tongue over the sensitive spot under the head.
Calum wasn’t even looking at her right now, his eyes were closed in pleasure and she noticed the red patches that appeared on his chest.
Her tongue was just sliding across the full length when he stopped her by stroking her cheek with his thumb.
“Get on the bed,” he requested. She did just like he asked of her but not before making him groan once more.
“On your knees.”
In the back of her mind, a comment saying ‘here we go again’ popped up. She was positive she would have a better time now.
She was kneeling on the bed, her back facing him. His touch on her spine was super light; she barely felt it. Calum brushed all of her hair over her should before he kissed the other one.
“He took you from the back, didn’t he?”
“He did.”
“Did you like it?”
“Not really.”
“Can I try?”
“Yes, please.” Right after she said that a strong hand pushed on her upper body so she would lean forward.
For a moment, nothing was happening, and she had started to wonder what the hell was going on. But then she sensed something warm, soft and wet move against her slits. It took her a second to realise it and once she did her whole body shivered. There was his tongue licking over her wet core and she let out a moan when a spank landed on one of her ass cheeks, stopping her from squirming.
She tried her best to stay still afterwards, her back bent only when his face pulled away and she felt him drag his cock over her folds before entering her.
She had been more than ready for this for a while now so he glided right in without a problem. His hands were making her arch her back and she let out a soft moan every time his cock pressed against her spot.
He was taking his time, not rushing anywhere, but there was a certain rhythm to his moves. A pattern she could follow as she knew when to clench her walls and release so the whole experience was as pleasurable as possible for both.
They both became desperate for more as the time passed, their moves turning way more urgent. She couldn’t get enough of him and rocked her hips so she could meet his thrusts sooner.
He didn’t stop her. At one point he even let her fuck herself on him, rewarding her with a few more spanks. As she rolled her hips, his cock still buried deep inside her she turned into a moaning mess which became only enhanced when he sneaked his hand to her front and started rubbing her clit.
“Fuck!” She gasped after she paused for a moment in the need to catch some breath. She didn’t really get to do that since he had thrusted forward, pushing all of himself inside her again.
It made her stumble a bit but she would hate him if he stopped now. Her knees were getting weak and the force with which he was fucking her was driving her mad. She ended up falling onto the mattress.
With her ass up and her face down, an orgasm overtook her again.
“You should have heard yourself,” Calum muttered when he collapsed beside her, panting. “Just listening to you could have made me cum if I hadn’t tried so hard to stop it.”
“Why didn’t you just let go?” She asked once she rolled around to her back.
“That’s easy,” he grinned at her. “I am not done with you yet.”
She chuckled before leaning forward so she could kiss that smile off his face. “You are really trying your best so there’s nothing I can later complain about, aren’t you?” She muttered against the skin on his neck, making him groan when she sucked on one spot particularly hard.
Calum shrugged slightly, his head leaning back. “You wanted someone to help you with forgetting about Ashton and I had offered my services,” he reminded her.
She stopped kissing his neck and looked up at him. “Ashton who?”
Their laugh got interrupted as they made out again and Calum helped her to get her body on top of his.
“I want you to ride me,” he mumbled out a few moments later. She had already recovered from her orgasm well enough, considering how she began rubbing herself against him.
A smile grew on her lips when he said that. It would be her pleasure to ride that dick. Truly. She couldn’t wait to have him groan and curse under her while she would rock her hips in a way that has always driven everyone mad.
“Wait.” Calum stopped her when she started to sit up to straddle him. That left her puzzled, hadn’t he asked her to do this exact thing?
“Not like that,” he had to explain, but it was just not clicking in her mind. She stared at him with her eyes wide, her pussy only inches away from his cock.
“Here,” he specified and patted his lips with his pointer finger, the one which had been curling up inside her earlier.
She stared at him without a word for a second.
How come she hadn’t thought of that? There have been so many dirty fantasies about him since that night, but somehow sitting down on his face has never crossed her mind.
“So?” Calum raised his brow when she took too long to reply in any way. He smiled at her when she shifted on the bed and moved near his face.
He ran his hands over her thighs gently, his thumb drawing some random pattern on it before he pulled her closer.
She took in a shaky breath as he licked a long stripe across her slits. He did that a few more times before he used his hands to pull her lips apart so he could get better access. With his tongue teasing her clit and eagerly kissing on her cunt the way he did made her heart speed up pretty quickly. It felt amazing. She had no doubts he would bring her to a climax like this. But this was not what he had said he had in mind, was it?
Calum seemed a bit surprised when she removed his hands from between her thighs and just set them on her ass instead. As soon as that was taken care of, her hips began to move slightly back and forth and he understood.
His fingers were digging into the flesh of her ass while she rode him, using his mouth to her own liking. She was leaning against the wall with one hand and tangled the fingers of the other in Calum’s hair. He licked and kissed on her hungrily and his groan vibrated against her core on multiple occasions. Hearing that he was enjoying this as well made the whole experience even hotter.
She took a glance down at him to check he was okay when her movements turned more frantic with how desperate she was for her release. Their eyes met right then and that one simple look brought her closer to the edge.
She couldn’t remember ever coming harder than at the moment when his arms wrapped around her thighs and pulled her as close to his mouth as possible, rapidly flicking his tongue as she continued to move.
“You didn’t ask me but this is what I thought about when jerking myself off,” Calum mumbled out after he was done licking up her juices and moved to place a few kisses to her thigh instead.
Her mind was still in a daze and it took a bit longer than it usually would for his words to make sense. When they did, she looked down at him with a surprised expression to which he just shrugged his shoulders.
“But let me tell you, it was much hotter in person,” he then muttered against her mouth once they were face to face again.
It seemed like he was going to go into further details but the only thing which sounded through the bedroom when he opened his mouth was a groan.
While he was talking, she had wrapped her hand around his cock and wasted no time sliding it inside her. She had to bite her lip to stay quiet with how sensitive she was from everything. That would not stop her though, quite the opposite, if she got to cum again soon she wouldn’t complain.
Calum wasn’t in a position where he would want to argue about any of this either she guessed. He was holding himself together for so long. If there was anyone who truly deserved to cum more than anything right now, it was him. She had promised to herself that she would make all the wait worth it for him.
Slowly, she moved up and down. Giving him a taste of what he was in for, her hands slightly pressed against his stomach for support while her nails were digging small reddish marks into his skin.
Gradually working on picking up her pace, she paid close attention to the expression on his beautiful flushed face.
She couldn’t match Calum when it came to the speed of thrusting, of course, no matter how much she would try. Especially if anyone wanted to compare it with how fast he fucked her earlier. Even at a much lower speed, they could have plenty of fun.
She always went completely down on, taking all of his length inside her before tightening her walls around him and sliding back up at a slower pace. Once she was up, she released the squeeze on him only to sink down and do the whole thing all over again.
Calum’s face looked so precious then when his mouth hanged there half open and his brows furrowed lightly every time a groan escaped his throat. He squeezed her hips tighter when she mixed up the speed and caught him off the rhythm he had already gotten used to.
When her thighs got tired after a moment she shifted her upper body down. She leaned in to kiss him, muffling the heavy sigh on his lips which was caused by her doing nothing else but simply grinding her hips with him still inside her.
Once she started to sit up again, Calum immediately moved to follow her. Instead of kissing her mouth, he buried his face in her chest, moaning against her skin when she got back to doing the thing that was driving him so wild earlier.
As he let her know that he was going to cum soon, she reached her hand behind her to touch his balls.
The whole time Calum did a good job with not thrusting up and letting her do the work but this seemed to be the last straw.
His muscles tensed in her hands when he exploded inside her.
Since she was close to yet another release herself, Calum stroked her clit while thrusting much slower, pleasing her with his cock for as long as he still could.
It wasn’t the strongest climax for her today but it still felt damn incredible.
“I am sorry,” Calum muttered out as he looked up from her breasts. “For pushing you down just like that. I didn’t even ask. I am sorry. I just… I couldn’t handle it anymore,” he explained himself even though there was no need for that. Something made him chuckle, and she sent him a curious look.
“Nothing. I just remembered something.” The answer didn’t tell her much, but she kissed him back when he leaned towards her, anyway.
“You are definitely not a liar,” he muttered with a grin before he got up.
She couldn’t say she understood that but she let it slide. “Is it okay if I hop into the shower real quick?”
“Of course.” Calum nodded right away. “You know where the bathroom is.”
She was by the door already when he spoke out playfully again. “Is it okay if I join you?”
“Of course.” She grinned at him over her shoulder before opening the door and walking out.
In the bathroom, she turned on the water and waited for him to come. During the whole time, she had this wide idiotic smile spread on her lips, which only seemed to grow when he called out that he would be right there. She could already hear his steps in the hallway when something else made the smile freeze on her lips.
“I know that I said I’ll come home late, so you had the whole flat for yourself, but what the fuck, mate? Even the neighbours must have heard the shit with how loud you two were.”
“Let me know when she will be leaving. I wanna see what that screamer looks like.”
Skam update?
Aahhhahaahahahaahahaaaa...hahaha
Uhhh?
THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE WORST FUCKING ENDINGS TO MY WEEK.
I will start off with the good because they do not deserve to be condemned for the behaviors of others. *cough* skam Italia and druck *cough*
Sofiane is truly a gift from god, always protecting and making Imane smile. Their chemistry is beautiful and I swear they deserve each other so bad. Imane always being a cutie and showing that timid smile of hers. Sofiane always making sure he shows her how he feels and protecting her from her annoying ass brother. I. Love. Them.
Liv and Noah. They are so aesthetically pleasing. They way they barely say anything while also expressing so much. They are so goofy and I love their relationship. Especially when Liv decides to leave and then come back because it was a good song (total mood, by the way). I definitely am eager to see where their story is going.
And here goes the shitty part....
Skam Italia coming out at the last second because timvision thinks it’s funny to play with people’s emotions. Of course, being the dumbass and illiterate person that I am, I couldn’t understand a single word out of that whole clip :) I literally watched it with my mouth open wondering what the hell is going on. The only thing I DID understand was Edoardo’s love for Eleonora. I was REALLLYYY hoping for more on my power couple because WE SUFFERED AND WE DESERVE IT, but we’ll have to make do with what we have.
And last, but NOT least. Druck. Druck, druck, druck. Ahahahaaaaaa. Why? Why would you do that? I mean I understand you’re following the OG, but did YOU. REALLYYY. HAVE. TO. BE. THAT. BRUTAL. You coulda just left it at that, just David saying things were going too fast. But WHY break Matteo’s heart AND STOMP on it???? Especially when David is nothing but a softy. I mean...REALLY????
Honestly. I’m laughing and just going crazy? I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET A 100% BEAUTIFUL DAY WHEN I GOT A TEASER FROM STAR WARS??? BUT I GUESS NOT????? Oh boy...oh boy, oh boy, ohhhh boyyyy. It’s like they’re forcing us to get prepared for what’s coming. The calm before the freaking storm INDEED. And on top of that, the ending of game of thrones is starting on Sunday. CAN I GET A BREAK?? CAN I GET ONE BREAK??? I MEAN, IM COLLEGE STUDENT TRYING TO GET THROUGH LIFE AND THIS IS WHAT I GET?!?!??? I hope you guys are doing okay, though. XOXO, shoot me ;)
#I still have killing eve though#I know how god feels towards me now#and I definitely want to shoot myself#skam italia#skam france#druck#skam nl#edoardo x eleonora#incantava#imane x sofiane#liv x noah#matteo x david
that’s what you get
Oh boy. Oh dear. Well, we have made it to Part 14 of this wild ride, and I have realized that I am in deep, boys. I figure, what’s some more suffering to temper the sweetness with? So, here, a fresh serving of angst and emotions with a side of...sushi?
Thanks to @bitchesofostwick and her Ellinor for providing 99% of the fluff content in this episode because, poor Cass and Liv, it’s not in the cards this time...as you can tell by my selection of titles being a very particular Paramour song.
Enjoy the somber pining, dears!
-- -- -- -- --
Fridays are pains. Three classes, work, among other things -- they always feel like the final, difficult hurdle before the weekend rolls around. It helps to run into Ellinor in the dorm bathroom to brush teeth and dance around in pajamas until they feel some semblance of happiness. Alas, when Olivia stumbles in her black satin pajamas and finds no one there standing like George Michael from Arrested Development with a toothbrush in her mouth, it’s rather odd.
She looks at her phone. No messages -- no “got back safe” specifically. Oh no, is this when she has to turn into the woman from Kill Bill because someone snatched her best friend in the dark of the night?
-- Hey!! You make it back??? Why aren’t you up?
Ellinor: I’m good! Don’t go bananas.
-- What?? What’s going on?
✓ Read 8:03am
She tosses the phone on the shelf below the row of mirrors and slips some Crest paste on her toothbrush. While she gets busy, Ellinor finally responds:
Ellinor: I got caught up at Cullen’s. Stayed the night instead of walked back. It was a long movie.
Bitch. Olivia nearly chokes on her spit and toothpaste build-up in her throat. No fucking way did she just get ‘caught up’ in a late movie. Ellinor was not a lingering sort of girl. She got in, got out, clean hands and all. Deliberate was her middle name.
-- OMG. YOU FOUND OUT HOW MANY LICKS IT TOOK TO GET TO THE CENTER OF HIS TOOTSIE POP DIDN’T YOU?!
Ellinor: I hate you
-- YOU DIIDDDDDD OH MY GOD
Ellinor: I DID NOT OKAY HE LET ME STAY OVER THAT IS ALL
Ellinor: goodbye, blocked
She does a little happy dance on her toes, her brush sticking out of her cheek. Finally! Now everything is getting good. Cullen will start coming around, and he won’t sulk so much. Ellinor will get some action -- some good, honest, emotionally fulfilled action -- and all will be well.
She finishes up with her preliminary morning hygiene and walks back into the hall. Her stomach tenses still as she remembers the flyer on her door, but to her pleasant surprise there’s nothing waiting for her – just her RA-crafted door decorations and a small collage of music lyrics made during a Hall social.
The day continues without a hitch, well, except for a rather hilarious texting conversation with the woman who said she would block her but hours earlier. Leaving class, she finds this hilarious string of texts for her to read:
Ellinor: omg he brought me coffee, but I already bought my own!! shit fuck what do I do
Ellinor: GOD IM SUCH A DUMBASS
Ellinor: it’s all good I did a lap around the first floor and chugged it. I’m good. This is fine.
Olivia smirks to herself walking down the stairs in her boot heels, and types back a kind response:
-- Man, you’re going to have a great time in the bathroom today aren’t you?
Ellinor: I plead the fifth.
She gets through all three classes and her work shift at the University Rec building teaching her midday barre classes. Amidst the many talents her parents groomed her for, dance was one of the very select few that stuck -- and fortunately for her, landed a good job once she got to college. The staff are all cool, with the exception of a few quirky, type A ballet divas.
A couple classes to teach, a shower in the locker rooms, and she’s out the door and back to her dorm. She doesn’t plan on seeing Ellinor when she stops in to get ready for her TA work session with Cassandra. She gets through flat ironing her hair to at least look semi-presentable, a fresh light face of makeup. For her outfit, she selects black yoga tights and a black bando with a see-through chiffon collared sleeveless shirt of the same color. No jewelry, no pomp. The last touch is slip-on sneakers.
By the time she’s putting her hair up in a ponytail, it’s 5:15pm. She’s been a bit eager to prepare for this. A thought occurs to her: it’s Friday evening. Dinner time. Why not do something kind of...nice? She jumps up and grabs her car keys, her backpack of work to do, phone, and wallet, throwing it all into her shoulder bag and heading out.
She drives to the nearest Safeway and picks up a couple plates of their pre-made deli sushi. When she’s at the checkout line she does that Mom thing and sets her bag on the counter to find her debit card. As she scrambles, though, she finds that there’s something missing from its contents that she had taken for granted was there. The flyer. No sign of it, as if it grew legs and escaped. Fuck.
The checkout staffer is looking at her like she’s gone rich girl bonkers, so she pulls out her plastic money and gets it over with. Where could it have gone? She gets in her car, and before she leaves the store parking lot, makes sure to cover her bases.
-- Hey, did you keep the flyer?
-- Ellinor: Nope. Gave it back.
She checks her time, and it’s 5:45. To her credit, Safeway is only a couple stoplights from campus. She might be a bit late, but not offensively so.
Henderson Hall is in fact to the left of quad. Trust issues blocked on that one. As she walks up the steps through the archway entrance, she can’t help but wonder if Cassandra is going to be there. She had not texted her all day, which, in their short time as friends was a custom. Cassandra was attentive to plans.
10E is on the ground floor, so it’s a matter of picking the right direction and following the wall signs down into a bundle of offices. Dimly lit in some spots (Friday night of course) but, one room bright as can be through the doorway facing her as she rounds the corner. She peaks in, leaning against the wall a bit where a sign says “TA Work Room.” It’s a somewhat large room, with two windows on the opposite wall and a small, brown love-seat down between them. On the right wall, shelves of books and small succulent plants.
Then, a desk with a desktop computer and a dark red vase on the corner full of...flowers? Cassandra, though. She’s there. And when it’s realized she is there, Olivia only has eyes for her.
“Hey…” she says, as if she has a secret to tell.
Cassandra looks up, having reclined back in her seat with her legs crossed, a paper in her lap that she had been reading. “Hey!” her eyes go bright and she straightens up. “I thought you got lost, or something. I was about to text you.”
“Nah,” Olivia giggles nervously. She steps into full view of the open doorway, bags in both hands. “I was just weighed down by precious cargo.”
Cassandra’s eyes bounce between both arms of stuff, but she lingers on the white Safeway bag. “Oh?”
“Yeah! I thought...well, I was just in town and I picked up some rations to sustain us as we survive the trenches.” She comes forward and sets her stuff down on a neighboring desk that is smaller and without a computer. She efficiently pulls out the four sushi plates and sets them in a line.
“I didn’t know if you liked sushi. If you don’t, I’ll happily eat it all.” She glances over at her with a cheerful smile, trying her best. But Cassandra looks uneasy for some reason. Going for broke on the charm, Olivia pivots on her dancer toes and tosses her some chopsticks -- another sudden throw that Cassandra catches successfully.
“So, take your pick. Spicy tuna, California roll, or Dragon roll…”
Cassandra grins politely, breaking the nervous facade. “Uh, Dragon, please.”
“Hm!” Olivia lifts a teasing brow, “Noted for future reference.” She grabs and hands her the plastic carton, the soy sauce bags sliding in the box as Cassandra takes it from her. Nothing. Just...manners.
“Thank you,” Cassandra says lastly, setting off the stack of midterms to the side. “You can use that desk, if you want. I can get you a chair from the lounge--”
“Oh, no, don’t worry, I got it,” Olivia shrugs. She’s busy arranging her stuff around, pulling out the folders of bibliographies she’ll have to sort through and pick apart like a demon. “You’re all settled in, anyways.”
“No, it’s fine, I insist.” Cassandra gets up, as if commanded like a SIMS character, and rushes out into the hall. Olivia freezes and watches her go, the light breeze she generates carrying through the fly-away strands of her hair. Geez, okay, fine. Revive chivalry single-handedly then. When she returns, it’s not with a folding chair or one of the generic sitting ones on campus, it’s a whole computer chair, complete with rolling wheels and comfortable arm rests. It looks almost better than the one she has, and as she sets it down without breaking a sweat, it makes Olivia’s temporary desk look puny almost.
“...Thanks,” Olivia mutters with a second smile. “I feel like I should have a seat belt come with it.”
Cassandra chuckles -- but it isn’t her chuckle. It’s an anxious one, the kind Olivia gives at everything. She can spot it in another person a mile away. But, as they both sit down, she doesn’t bother to ask why.
Eating the first bites of sushi, her eyes go from her paper stacks to Cassandra’s quiet eating face so much it almost makes her dizzy. “You tired?” she broaches, ripping open another soy sauce packet for her California roll.
Cassandra shakes her shoulder as she’s mid-bite. “Yeah, a bit. I had class, and my volunteer hours at the YMCA. You?” Shit, that’s right. She volunteers teaching sports and tutoring. Stop being perfect.
“Yeah. I taught dance today...classes...nothing out of the ordinary, though.”
Cassandra looks up, and her response is immediate. “Nothing? You sure?”
Olivia almost flinches from the sudden shift in focus, and she sits up. “...Yeah…”
“You are absolutely certain?”
Olivia’s brow goes low, and she sets her chopstick hand down on the table. “Is this where you tell me I’m in that movie 50 First Dates and you’ve been having me bring you sushi every day for years?”
Cassandra purses her lips and looks down, a hint of blush in her cheeks. She then keeps eating, like the conversation suddenly doesn’t matter. Olivia wants to damn-near pick a fight, if it means getting responses and energy out of her. Exam grading or not, she’s acting funny. There’s no subtle confidence, no consideration and insightful look in her.
A couple hours pass, and the sushi has long-been eaten and tossed back in the bag it all came in. Olivia has gotten her elbows in deep with grading, about 1/2 of the way done with bibliographies. They are understandably messy and riddled with errors, of which she outlines every single one with blue pen -- a more relaxing color than the quintessential red. Cassandra is hard at work too, as is her style. She’s returned to sitting back in her chair with her legs crossed, paper in one hand and pen in the other, which she is clicking with her thumb every minute or two. At times, Olivia feels eyes on her, but she keeps focused. If Cassandra wants to say something, she says it.
At almost 8:30pm Olivia’s phone dings, and she glances over. She sees Ellinor’s name, but before she can read the message, Cassandra speaks.
“Olivia, I…”
She perks up. “Yeah?”
Cassandra is locked on her, end of her pen held close to her mouth. It almost takes what little breath she has away, the smartness of her. Her dark blue, long-sleeve sweater french-tucked into her black jeans with a slim belt on. Her somewhat narrow but toned shoulders hunched up a bit against the chair. Her tucked chin, emphasizing her keen but slightly-softened stare.
“...W-What’s up?” she looks from side-to-side, like a trap door is about to go off.
“I…” Cassandra pulls the staples pages back in order on the paper she’s on and tosses it onto the table. “I was wondering if...you were planning on telling me anything. Anything important.”
“Uh...no.”
“See…” Cassandra clicks her pen a couple times, her hands going to her lap, “I disagree.”
“You disagree?” Olivia sits back in her chair, elbows going to her armrests. “What does that mean?”
“It means I think you do have something to tell me. Or rather, should.”
“You’re right.”
Cassandra blinks, her face one of ‘oh, it was that easy?’ but things are never that easy with Olivia. She should know better than most anyone.
“Yeah. I lied when I said I preferred twizzlers. Red vines are better. I just didn’t want to partake in the discourse.”
Cassandra lays her head back, her eyes going up to the ceiling as she huffs out her nose. “Ugh, good God, I mean the flyer. The Church flyer with the writing on it!”
Olivia drops her pen and rolls back from the desk. Her vision blurs for a minute as she looks to the ground. It’s her worst nightmare realized: now it’s going to be a thing, a thing she can’t just control all by herself.
“Oh. That flyer,” she mutters, pulling her knees into her lap as she rolls her chair around to face her. “H-how did you find out?”
Cassandra sighs, rubbing the side of her head. Giving into the talk, she sets her own pen down, and stands up to go to the door. She shuts it quietly, as if anyone would be lurking around the office at 8:30pm hoping to pick up on this sweet gossip. She comes back to her seat and leans forward onto her desk with her forearms.
“Cullen. Apparently, you had dropped it in the library when you ran into him. He found it on the floor after you had left. He thought you’d be planning on saying something anyways.”
Cullen. That Golden Retriever-looking, best-intentions-having, Sulky-dude-bro-when-he’s-hammered, nice-guy-who-tries, shagging-her-best-friend son of a--
“Right.” She chews down on the inside of her cheek and rubs the rim of her mouth with her hands.
“I waited...for you to tell me on your own. I didn’t want it to be like this, but you seem to have had no plan to tell me even though it clearly has something to do wi--”
“With what, Cassandra?” she bites back, looking up and locking an acidic stare with her compassionate one. Silence. Awkward silence.
“...With me. I was going to say with me.” She goes sort of breathless at the end, but it’s too soft and fleeting for Olivia to care.
“That’s bold of you to assume. You clearly don’t know anything about what I’ve been through when it comes to bullying on account of my explicit behaviors.” She squirms a bit in her chair and holds her knees tighter against her chest.
“Whose fault is that? Agh,” Cassandra says bluntly while watching her, “you really should file a report. There are conduct rules for a reason, and this is at the very least sexual harassment. I looked it--”
“You looked it up?!” Olivia’s eyes go wide. “Jesus, why don’t you just file it for me then, since you seem to have it all figured out! Waiting for me to tell you, what the fuck, am I twelve or something?” She jumps up from her chair, no longer satisfied with being her equal. She goes for the couch, taking her phone with her as she lands on the corner cushion, tucking one leg under her.
“I was just--” Cassandra tries to respond before Olivia makes her move but is cut off. When Olivia sits, she resumes. “I was just trying to help. You shouldn’t have to fear going to your dorm at the end of the day or walking to classes.”
“Who says I fear any of those things?”
“So, you’re saying you are completely unmoved by this? That you see no problem with people calling you something so horrible?”
Olivia’s sharp mind goes into full debate mode. “There’s nothing wrong with being a slut, Cassandra, if it is someone’s choice to identify as such. The people who do shit like this prefer it to not be that way, so they can use it against people as an exertion of power.”
Cassandra’s eyes go a bit cold, but she remains partial to Olivia’s struggle. Clumsy, but partial. “Is...is that how you want to be treated, by a complete stranger just…invading your privacy? Olivia…” she then stands up and comes over to the couch, sitting a foot away from her. Her knees are parted broadly, but straight. Straight, straight, straight.
“What?” Olivia mumbles back, rubbing her face with her hands. “I’m not going to make this a big deal. Nothing’s happened since. It was probably just someone having a wild thought to do something horrible. That happens every day, right?”
Cassandra’s brows push together. “I’d really prefer if you told someone. For your safety.”
Olivia shakes her head. “My safety? You know what gets me about this? That you likely know who did this...or rub elbows with them. That you probably see them and talk to them in passing on Sunday and yet you think I should alert the authorities because I’m unsafe. What is that supposed to tell me of the company you keep?” She talks a big talk, but she doesn’t look at her. She keeps her gaze on her own lap, and lets the silence take hold. Then, out of nowhere, the confidence she is so tempted by returns in a cool, flat voice:
“Do you honestly think if I had any inkling as to who, I would just sit by and let you fend for yourself like I have no responsibility at all in this?” She’s outraged and foreboding in her temper. God only knows what she looked like when Cullen handed her the paper. Olivia only has the bravery to stare back at her and is humbled by the intensity. “I only hope that...that despite this...”
“What?” Olivia replies softly, but in vain. Cassandra merely sucks on her teeth.
“Do you...” she says after a pause, “regret coming to the Church to see me?” It is a subtly heartbreaking question coming from her.
Olivia rolls around and sits with her knees bunched up again like they were in her chair, with her lower back against the side of the love seat arm rest. “I don’t. Do you regret inviting me?
Cassandra doesn’t waste a moment, before she peers at her, chin raised. “Absolutely not.”
“I do have a regret about how I acted there, though.” Up against a proverbial wall.
Cassandra’s eyes narrow a bit uneven, her head tilted. “What? How so?”
“I...” Suddenly, an impulse bares down on her, and she scoots up onto her folded knees. In a push of inertia she resolves distance between them but stops, sitting at her side, knees against the side of her thigh.
Cassandra’s eyes go wide, but not too wide. Not surprised, but on notice. When Olivia gets that far with no objection she isn’t quite sure what to do. That’s the thing about impulses -- they didn’t come with a manual. But she wings it some more, and starts slowly leaning her face into hers. She reaches a hand and presses her palm gently against Cassandra’s cheek, guiding her to look at her head on as she closes in. She gets so close that when Cassandra’s lips part she can feel the edges of her warm breath. The brightness of the fluorescent office lighting goes dim and fades away, and Olivia’s heart is beating out of her chest. She wants that sign so bad, she wants something -- anything to give her vindication for wanting to hold onto her so closely despite all the writing on the wall telling her they’re mismatched. Cassandra’s lids flutter down, and she is frozen in place like a statue.
Then, a hand. A hand on Olivia’s shoulder, stopping her advance with care. Olivia opens her eyes fully, and looks into hers. Seeing the shade of them, she falls back onto her folded legs.
“Olivia, I...”
“You...you don’t...”
Cassandra’s mouth opens, and she frowns, taking her hand away. “It’s not... It’s...complicated. I can ex--”
“Complicated.”
“...Yes. But...look, I’m not that good with words. But I can explain. I just...I want...” She exhales with tension breaking her tone, her posture stiffening.
It’s no longer just Olivia’s worst nightmare realized. It’s her worst nightmare, having a worst nightmare.
“I...I gotta go.” If she doesn’t get out of that room in a minute she’s going to crawl out of her skin. She slides herself off the couch and walks back to her work, getting to it fast with the clean-up. She tries her best not to care what Cassandra does in the meantime. If she can get out fast, it won’t sink in under her skin, like everything else Her looks, her grin, the smell of Old Spice Wolfthorn she swears is there but can’t ever bring herself to decide.
“Wait.” She glances, and sees that Cassandra stood up, but hasn’t moved from her spot otherwise.
“No. I said I couldn’t stay long. I really...I should have left a bit earlier. I have a thing…”
“You...are you--”
“Yeah, I’m sure,” she shoves folders into her bag, zipping everything up with rigor. She slings the backpack on her shoulder and takes her other into her hand, grabbing for the Safeway plastic to dump out on the way. She turns around and stops, her mouth open, but no words. Cassandra has drawn closer, standing only a couple feet away now.
“Liv, I’m sorry.” Liv. She hardly ever uses her nickname. It’s always a polite, slightly formal ‘Olivia,’ even though she has made it clear time and time again ‘Liv’ is perfectly alright. Only now does she use it, and it hurts a bit. She really cares.
Olivia grins crookedly, and it pains her to do so. “No, it’s...it’s fine. I’m not mad.”
Cassandra’s expression says stop lying to me, please, but her mouth says the opposite. It gnaws at her heart. “Do...do you want me to walk you back?”
“I’ll be alright. It’s only a few minutes’ walk. Look, maybe we should, you know, take a breather. From hanging out, I mean. Just for a while. I feel like...like it’s just...” like I don’t know what you want from me.
Cassandra’s eyes narrow, in that sad kind of creasing way, and she frowns. That frown. “No, I understand. It is a busy time of the semester for me, anyway. I won’t be available much, and I don’t think you’ll be, either. Maybe, given what’s happened, it would be best for you.”
“...Yeah.” Olivia could have a whole ledger of things that people had said were ‘best for her’ over the course of her short life. But when Cassandra says it, all she can think is that being distanced from her felt like the antithesis of ‘best.’
There could be more words, but there aren’t. Cassandra nods, her hands together in front of her waist. She’s pressing on the skin above her thumb, on the side of her palm. She does that other times, and Olivia’s seen it. But only now does she see it’s a thing she does when things aren’t going well. She smiles and says thanks and heads out. The whole way her feet feel like bricks are tethered Even when she gets into her dorm, messes with keys and gets herself into her room. Turn back, go back, do it.
After dumping everything on the floor, she takes off her shirt and wipes off her makeup, before jumping on her bed to lay flat on her back. A few minutes of anxious staring up at the popcorn ceiling, and the demand to go back calms down.
Like an old, thoughtless habit already built in her psyche, she checks her phone for a ‘hope you got back safe, have a good night’ kind of message, but there’s nothing. Ironically, she wishes there is. The last messages on their thread are about the song recommendation. Fine, fuck, what could it hurt? What’s it gonna be, something about life lessons?
She pulls up her Spotify and finds her headphones -- a habit that’s foolish since she’s in her room all alone, but after the argument she instinctively clings to privacy. The song starts out with a slight upbeat rhythm, completely benign-sounding. But, then...she really listens, and the chorus hits --
If you're gonna let me down, let me down gently
Don't pretend that you don't want me
Our love ain't water under the bridge...
Nearing the end of the song she had preemptively mocked in her thoughts, her emotions she had done such a great job of suppressing are bursting at the seams. She goes from sprawled to curled in the fetal position in a matter of minutes. It wasn’t a clean escape.
But they are friends. It’s cut and dry. She should have seen this all coming. Girls like Cassandra and girls like her don’t do well together. Nothing about them says “promising,” just…just…
Knock, knock, knock.
“Olivia! You in? How was it?!”
It’s Ellinor. For some reason it only breaks Olivia’s heart more. She drags herself up off her blankets and to the door. Opening it and seeing her friend, in jeans and an old t-shirt, beautifully hardcore as ever, she sees that for all that Ellinor has to glow about, she, herself cannot relate.
“There you are! I want details, woman! And--”
Olivia can’t hold it back any longer. She bursts into tears, holding her phone to her mouth. Her headphones are still in, but the music has stopped playing.
“Shit, what happened?!” Ellinor’s face drops, and she holds her arms out. Olivia only shakes her head and steps into her embrace, pressing her head into her shoulder. Ellinor grabs her phone from her and checks the screen.
“I’m gonna kill her if she--Oh dear God, Adele?! Olivia, what have we discussed about listening to Adele so close to our cycles?!” she says as she holds her.
Olivia cries harder, her voice shrill but muffled into her shirt.”I-I fucked u-up...”
“Okay! Okay,” Ellinor responds quickly, “uh, okay, let’s...let’s finish that ice cream you have, alright?”
Okay I really want a fic where the queens take a like trip to Hampton Court or something because there’s sooo much there ‘bout them (also my memory is shit so I may be missing things or just be giving them the wrong names)
“Anne Boleyn’s Gateway”
In the gift shop there’s a good few things revolving around the Queen (for example my black shirt with Anne’s necklace printed on it - I LOVE that shirt)
The ‘King’s Beasts’ statues around the palace where you can find 3 different of them represent the Seymour family(because of his marriage to Jane) AND idk if this is confirmed but there’s also some white falcons which are Anne’s Badge
There’s a small film in one of the rooms where you can sit down and it’s just about the Queens and what happened to them
THE PAINTING ; the painting Henry has made AFTER JANE HAD DIED of Henry,Edward, AND JANE ; the very DEAD JANE ; it’s weird as hell
Jane died at Hampton Court~
people say both Jane and Kat BOTH haunt the Palace
K Howard is actually said to haunt the “screaming Gallery” and it’s called that because she was arrested there and when she broke free from the guards she RAN SCREAMING AND CRYING DOWN THE GALLERY ; I’ve been there and it just feels weird, apparently people say they hear her screams so that’s nice-
Jane’s ghost said to be spotted on the ‘SilverStick Stairs, the stairway up to the room she died in
Onnnn a lighter note! In one of the women’s bathrooms there are six stalls and it them there’s a picture of the queen, her name, and her motto so that would be funny
There’s the portrait of Elizabeth with Anne’s necklace on so that’s bound to be depressing
There are prolly more queen related things but I feel like with all of that it would make a preeeettttyyy interesting fic in my opinion
(These are some of the pictures I got from my trip in November)
“You’re sure it’s fine?” Nollie asked for what was probably the tenth time. She cradled a sleeping Livi in her arms, her fingers absentmindedly stroking her soft head. When Nollie and London had showed up at the bar to have her lawyer friend review the publishing contract for her book, the baby had screamed and clawed for Nollie until Xander finally passed her off. Olivia had been an angel ever since. Didi may have been her godmother, but Nollie was Olivia’s favorite.
“It’s better than fine,” Imogen reassured. “This publisher is really buttering you up, Nollie. They’ll probably want you to write more books if this one sells as well as the contract anticipates.”
“So I should sign it?”
“If you don’t, I will.”
Nollie laughed, and Immy slid the contract and a pen across the desk to her. She picked the pen up hesitantly. Once she signed this and faxed it in, it was all over. Printing for her very first book would start Monday. But this is what she wanted. Her grip on the pen tightened, she swallowed, and Nollie signed the contract before she could change her mind again.
“Congrats, Nollie,” Immy said gently, sliding the contract away from her and over to the ancient fax machine in the bar’s office. “You’re officially an author!”
Before she could respond, a loud clattering noise and a string of expletives echoed throughout the bar, startling all three girls in the back office. Liv’s blue eyes popped open and a cry immediately fell from her mouth. Nollie and Immy exchanged an all-knowing glance and headed out into the bar, Olivia sniffling as Nollie bounced her on her hip.
The bar was a construction zone. After Imogen and Xander found out they were pregnant with Olivia, they quit their jobs, bought the trucker bar Imogen worked at on weekends, and started making plans to remodel after the baby was born. The remodel was just about done, and Xander had asked London and Paris to paint a mural on one of the walls, which is what they’d been doing when Paris fell off his ladder. Correction: Paris fell off the ladder he’d precariously balanced atop stacked empty paint cans. Now he was on the floor covered in freshly spilled paint while his brother and Xander laughed hysterically.
“At least help me up,” Paris whined, arms stretched up like he was trying to grab hold of someone. A cackling London pulled him up, shaking his head.
“Ask for the taller ladder next time, dumbass,” he replied. He made his way over to Nollie, kissing her cheek before squatting down to visit with Liv.
“Hi, pretty girl,” he cooed in his adorable baby voice. “What beautiful blue eyes you have!” The baby smiled as he tickled her sides, a little giggle slipping from her lips. Nollie smiled as London pulled Olivia from her arms, taking her into his own like she was biologically his. She didn’t miss the glance Xander and Immy shared or the smile plastered on Paris’s face (even if it looked like the act caused him pain) as London admired Liv. She saw what they were seeing as well, and it gave her butterflies in the best way.
“You’re sure we can’t keep her?” London asked. He’d asked earlier that day, too.
“I’m afraid you can’t,” Xander said, “but you’d have better luck with that question at three in the morning.”
“Or you could do us all a favor and make me an uncle,” Paris begged.
Nollie blushed. Two months ago, she and London had celebrated their one year (or technically, nine months) with a little diamond ring and a little too much wine. They’d been less than safe that night, and she had panicked immediately the following morning. While the pregnancy test had been surprisingly negative, the more surprising thing was their shared disappointment. So now, while they weren’t trying to have a baby, they weren’t not trying to, either.
They’d decided that nugget of information didn’t need to be known by anyone yet, not even their closest friends.
“Maybe in a few years, Paris,” London said, handing Olivia off to Xander. “No matter how much Nollie’s mom says she likes me, I think she’d kill me if I knocked up her daughter before the wedding.”
“Which is…” Paris said, clearly waiting for a response. Nollie shrugged.
“We still haven’t picked a date. We’re not in a rush.”
“Well, she’s not in a rush,” London said. “But I am.” His arm snaked around her waist and he pulled her close. He was smiling the same way he had when they’d gotten milkshakes together on their first date, the same way he had when she’d agreed to be his girlfriend, the same way he had when he’d finished unpacking his last box in their apartment in New York, the same way he had when she’d agreed to marry him. He’d described it as his “I’m gonna be with her forever” smile. It made her heart skip a beat every time.
She smiled, too.
“You’ll find a date soon enough,” Immy said, pulling a restless Liv away from Xander. “But I think you have a flight to catch, and Olivia’s getting hungry.” Nollie checked her watch.
“Yeah, we need to get going,” Nollie said, moving forward to say her goodbyes. “Thank you all for everything.”
“Of course,” Xander said, grinning. “But the next time I hear from you better be to tell me I’m your man of honor.”
Nollie laughed and shook her head.
“You got it, Xan.”
Jet lag didn’t really get to Nollie, but she’d was happy to have any excuse to lay in bed with London late on Monday morning. Normally they were both up at six, but today, it was eight-thirty and she was still curled into his side. It was going to be a good day.
She slipped out of bed to go to the bathroom. As she washed her face in the mirror, she couldn’t take her eyes off of her jewelry box. Nollie walked over and opened it, pulling out a navy velvet pouch and dumping two polished wood rings into her hand. She rolled the larger one around in her hand. Her grandfather had made these for her and London when they’d visited Tennessee after getting engaged. They were beautiful and perfect.
They were also wedding bands.
Nollie slipped the rings back into the pouch and brought them back into the bedroom with her. She climbed on top of London, placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
“Good morning,” London murmured, giving her another kiss. “Can we spend all day doing this?”
“Mm, after.”
“After what?” His hands had made their way to her butt, and she was doing her best not to get distracted.
“Let’s get married, London.”
All movements paused, and she lifted her head up to see him better. He was staring intently at her, his mind clearly frozen.
“When?” he asked slowly, testing the waters.
“The courthouse opens at nine.”
Nollie couldn’t imagine what he was thinking. Yesterday, she’d told people she wasn’t in a rush to get married. Today, she was suggesting they go to the city courthouse.
“I don’t want to wait any more, London. You were right to be in a hurry. I want to be your wife. We can throw a big party soon, but I want to go to bed tonight as your wife.” It was quiet again. The waiting was making her antsy. Finally, he sat them both up, arms wrapped around her.
“What should I wear, Mrs. Lovell?”
Crossroads - 4 Minutes Chapter 1
He brought the bottle of scotch he had dangling in his hand up to his mouth and took a long swig. “Fuck,” he spat as he tossed the empty bottle to the side.
It had been three weeks. Three weeks since he saw her beautiful, pained face staring at him, tears streaming down her cheeks. He had thought everything was fine, he thought Ella had wanted to talk about their relationship. Her up and leaving while he was in the shower meant she wanted nothing to do with him. Maybe that was for the best, he thought bitterly. I don’t deserve her.
Leo’s phone rang on the table in front of him and he scowled. His little brother’s face lit up the screen and Leo swiped to answer. “Hey, Liam.”
She Ain’t Me Part 2
Olivia sucked in a breath. “Then be with me.”
Liam opened his eyes and turned to his oldest friend with narrowed eyes. “Liv …”
“What?” Her heart was beating a thousand miles a minute as she arched her brow.
“Liv, you know I don’t feel-”
Her hand shot out so fast and smacked him in the back of the head; Liam flinched. “Stop being a dumbass.”
“Olivia!” Liam’s hand went to the back of his head and rubbed it. “What the fuck?”
Tales from the Ex-Crypt Vol. 4
Babysitting.. It's one of those things some of us are really good at, and something I am absolutely atrocious at. I am especially bad when that "babysitting" is directed at dating someone who is apparently a 5 year old in a 30 year olds body.
During the last "off" time prior to our permanent "off", my mother thought it would be a great idea to help me move on by paying for a 3 month membership to eHarmony. Let it just be said, I met three different guys on there, and they were all WAY crazier than on any other dating site I have ever used.
The first one was a successful business guy with an MBA and who thought he was hot shit with a BMW. We went on a very basic date, just a walk along one of the boardwalks in Toronto, I was living downtown actually in the city at the time. I did the faux pas of having him pick me up and drop me off at my apartment, but I met him outside and he never knew what floor or apartment I liv ed in. He played it super cool, we got along decently. Then he went out drinking with his buddies for a friends birthday, and blew my phone up while he was out. I was working until Midnight that night, it was pouring rain and I was looking forward to getting home. I had underground parking, so when I got home I entered the building from the underground. He had apparently ditched his buddies, and stood outside my building for over 45 minutes before I believed he was actually there. I felt bad, and went down to let him in. He came up to my apartment, we fooled around, no sex, he left. While he didn't ghost, he did text me the next day saying that he felt very guilty and as a Catholic, couldn't see me again. I have never been *dumped* per se for religious reasons, but there is always a first. That was mine (and only so far).
The next was someone who lived in Vancouver. He was a twin, who had gotten sober and been clean for a year and was just getting into dating. This one was interesting, because we chatted on webcam, voice programs, phone, and gamed together. When he arrived, I became 100% convinced I had been dealing with/talking to/dating his brother essentially. He was hopeless, and SO different.
He flew into Toronto for a five day visit. I picked him up at the airport, and initially he seemed alright. That was until we went to get some food. This man was apparently raised in a barn, he chewed with his mouth wide open, talked while chewing, loudly chewed and didn't know how to belch other than full on (no matter where we were, may I add). The day after he arrived, we drove to Montreal for a Habs vs Leafs hockey game - yeah yeah, how Canadian, I know - and he couldn't drive because his brother had lost his license to a DUI, so then used this dumbass's cuz they're identical twins, and lost HIS license to a DUI too. The amount of dumb is unfathomable. So I drove the whole distance myself. He had never seen bilingual signs, so asked what the French parts meant (which is all fine at this point). We get to the hotel, which was a very nice hotel, and check in. We go to our room, the drive took longer than planned, due to weather and stops so we got ready and walked to the game. There was a blizzard coming the next day so I woke up at 5 am and got ready to leave, he refused to get up and finally got him downstairs to check out and he was like "oh it actually is bad out" because on the 27th floor it didn't look like it was snowing nearly as much as seeing a foot accumulated. It took me 10.5 hours to drive home to Toronto. There were people spinning out and crashing all around us. I had to keep stopping to get the snow build up out of my wheel wells so I could steer (he never left the car other than to go to the bathroom when we'd stop). He also asked me what "ouest" (said ew-st) which is west in French, and then proceed to use a child's voice to say "OUEST!" every time he saw a sign, then poke me in the arm and say "VEE VEE!" which was how he referred to me, instead of 'baby'. After 10.5 hours of this, I wanted to murder the 6'5 fool.
We stopped at the grocery store on the way home, to get the fixings for tacos (who doesn't love taco night, am I right?). The store was 5 minutes from my house, and I was in the checkout when he said he had to go to the bathroom. I was like "we're 5 minutes from home, can't you wait?" but no.. so I got to stand there after purchasing my groceries for 30 minutes while he took a crap at the grocery store. When we got back to my apartment, he wanted to have a bath, so he went into the bathroom while I was making tacos. I can hear him giggling and a ton of splashing, so I go to check out wtf he's giggling at. He was in the tub making TIDAL WAVES with his legs, and had flooded my bathroom, while giggling like a maniac.
Now, it is REALLY hard to be sexually aroused by someone who legit acts like a toddler, so sex was not really something I was even interested in with him at this point. His only saving grace was having a great dick. The sex was not great, however.
The next day, we drove out to where I am from, to meet my best friend and her husband for dinner and a movie. We had some time to kill before our reservations, so we go into Best Buy to poke around. It is finally time to head to the restaurant, and he suddenly has to take a public shit again. I'm walking around like an idiot, waiting for this schmuck and what do I see? Him doodling on the employee white board, like a child. Who knows how long he'd been at it, but here we had people waiting, and he's in art class on a business white board.... We make it to the restaurant, late of course. I had texted my friend to let her know. It's a steakhouse, the Keg, and while we are all having a great dinner, he is chewing like a caveman and belching like he's at home in his underwear. It doesn't get much better when we make it to the movies, we go see I am Legend. Those super quiet points in the movie? Yeah, he waits for those and then does leg lifting farts that echo in the now silent theater, then proceeds to bust out his maniacal giggles.
By day five, when I finally get to drop him off at the airport, I was SO happy that daycare was finally over. I'm all down for a good time but I love MANLY men, and someone acting like a perpetual child definitely doesn't bring out the best in me, or my inner freak >.<
Every once in awhile, Facebook will recommend we might be friends, to which I have flashbacks and ignore the suggestion.
The third person I met was very mild, a personal trainer with severe ADHD who went slightly pyscho when I explained I really wasn't game for dating after experiencing bachelor #2 and needed a bit of a break, but didn't realize how badly he had affected me until I had gone out again. Dude LOST his mind, and I had to block him in every way possible.
Sometimes people go back to toxic ex's because they miss them, but at that point I'm pretty sure I did because he was predictable and safer than dating.
