The Queens Household at 2 In The Morning:

Kat: [Quietly trying to quietly make her way into the kitchen]

Kat: [Turns the lights on as quietly as she can]

Anne: [Appears our of nowhere and turns around on the spiny chair]

Anne: Ha! I caught you. You’re supposed to be asleep!

Kat: [Freezes]

Cathy: [Walking into the Kitchen nonchalantly]

Cathy: Oh really? What’s your excuse then Anne? [Already pouring herself some coffee]

Catalina, loudly, from the couch in the living room having been awake this whole time as well: She had a nightmare, I on the other hand am awake and here to make sure she doesn’t try to burn the house down while she remains conscious.

Anne: Lina!

Anna: [Enters] What’s all the fuss about? [Hops up and sits on the countertop] You’re all loud and interfering with my sleep, if you keep it up you’ll wake Jane-

Jane: [Very sleepily walking down the stairs]

Jane: [Blinks and looks at all of them]

Jane: . . .

Everyone else: . . .

Jane: [Sighs]

Jane: Who here had a nightmare?

[Kat and Anne raise their hands]

Jane: Who here had a nightmare or can’t sleep and is tossing around a bunch of excuses as to why they’re awake?

Jane: [Sigh]

Jane: Okay everyone, to the living room. Time for a late night queen emotion circle so well can go back to bed and have a sleepover.

Aragon: Yeah, someone should definetly go check on her.

Aragon, agressively pointing at Anne: Bo-loser, you’re going. If someone can annoy people out of motivation then that’s you.

Boleyn: What?! I don’t want to!

Cleves: No, Lina’s right. You should go.

Seymour: Yeah, it has to be you, Annie.

Boleyn: Kat? Please?

Howard: As you once wisely said; sorry not sorry, sis.

Cleves: Damn, Annie’s surely taking her time, huh?

Aragon: Hm… You’re right. I thought with how enraging she can be Cathy would have given up like, five hours ago

Seymour, uncertainly: Maybe she’s trying a more mature approach?

Seymour: Or maybe Cathy’s just being specially stubborn!

Howard: That’s it, I’m going in.

Angsty headcannon because I can

-Anna hates being surprised from the back. Whether it’s a hug or a prank, the queens always does it in front instead of behind her. She also has horrible self esteem and self imagine issues. That’s what being shamed in front of a whole country does to a girl.

- early revival, Anne and kat had horrible fear of knives and anything that’s sharp in general. They got better over the years tho (thankfully).

-Jane have a baby doll that she slept with because she barely had any time to hold Edward after she gave birth.

- Lina sometimes (a lot) think that if only she was a better wife, the other wifes wouldn’t suffer. She also takes care of the other queens whenever they got sick (because back then, she couldn’t take care of Mary when she was sick with chickenpox. )

- Cathy have serious trust issues. ( because before she died, she trusted Thomas to take care of her daughter and left him everything she has, and the mf got executed, leaving her daughter lost in history).

Bonus:

- Edward would feel so disconnected from his own mother that he wouldn’t talk to her for the whole day, then apologize because he felt bad.

Six The Musical Headcanons - Catherine of Aragon (Catalina de Aragon):

Time for the gold queen 💛💛💛

-Catalina is the composed and steady one of the group, contrary to popular belief I don’t think she’s a hot head or has a short temper. Yes she can get annoyed with Anne’s antics sometimes, yes she and anne had her arguments on the beginning, and yes she can like get really angry and it’s really scary but that’s only something she holds towards really serious horrible people (Ex: Henry, Mannox, Francis, Thomas Culpeper and Seymour). Her anger is only reserved for things she believes are sensible to be angry at, she is a dignified queen as she likes to remind everyone. If you ever want a completely calm figure in the queen’s house to sit with, your best bet would be Catalina, who is a comforting by the peace she brings to room.

-Catalina is by nature likes to be awake before everyone else and likes to fall asleep after everyone else (much hidden from the other queens knowledge), this is do to a protective nerve she has for the queens wanting to make sure they’re all safe (good luck trying to get her to admit it though) and usually she’ll quietly check everyone’s rooms right after she wakes and right before she goes to sleep, only being able to start her day or sleep when she knows her new family is safe.

-A similarly shared with her god daughter, she also happens to really like coffee, although not to the horrible addict degree that Cathy does

-Kat is actually the first queen to get Catalina to open up to the group more. Once Jane pulled the shy pink queen gently out of her shell and her bubbly side came out, she one day gained the courage and asked Catalina to listen to modern day music with her. Which Catalina much to everyone’s shock, agreed, the two got along well that day, horrified and wonderfully surprised by some of the music the modern day had to offer. In the end Kat and Catalina were making wild jokes and references to some of the music. There are inside jokes to this day between the two that the rest of the queens still don’t understand. Kat had managed to sneak her way into Catalinas heart and Catalina figured, if Kat was so sweet and lovable then maybe the rest aren’t so bad too.

-Catalina secretly admires Anne’s cunning intelligence, well thought out plans, wit, and ability to turn the cards in her favor, the qualities making her very charming in the golden queens eyes. (No one tell Anne though, or she’ll never let Catalina or “Lina” as she likes to call, let it down)

-When the six costumes first arrived, Catalina was very impressed and liked most of them, but when she saw Kat’s she got fiercely protective about the and started questioning the costume designer right away about giving a “surviving victim a costume that insulates nothing but her past” but she immediately quieted down as she saw Kat give a watery smile to the pink costume. Catalina probably realized then and there that Kat probably asked for the costume to be like that, while the pink queen may be uncomfortable in it at times it probably was worth it for her own sense of self liberation, and looking down at the costume she was wearing herself, Catalina completely understood. Not in the way Kat felt exactly but understanding it nevertheless.

-Catalina ans Anne once they reach a more comfortable point of friendship are anxiety/nightmare/comfort buddies. Relying on one another but they both know and understand what happened to the together to the closest extent.

-Catalina and Anne love talking about their daughters to one another, finding comfort in reminiscing of their baby girls, even when they found out the horrific things done by Mary they still keep up the tradition after Anne gives her a talk of moral ambiguity

-Catalina is the queen expert on modern illness, while Jane may be the take carer, Catalina has a shocking ability to know when a queen will be sick and what they’ll have, and what to do. Usually this means a queen won’t protest if Catalina insists they “take the day off and rest”, which Catalina a time or two might’ve used this ability to her advantage

-Catalina sometimes every once in a while enjoys to accompany Anna on a trip downtown in London, the two once went to the bar and Anna managed to somehow convince Catalina to let down her guard for once, and they had a amazing night dancing, doing karaoke, and meeting people

-Naturally Catalina is socially introverted, she’s not socially anxious she’d rather just not deal with people, but when it comes to the queens, Catalina can appear to be a people’s person (when in fact it’s just Catalina being “the queens person” with her family.

-Going to the beach for the first time is a discovery where the queens find out Catalina hates sand with a burning passion. She’ll tolerate it for a few hours for the queens who have made a soft spot on her heart but not any longer than that, even her heart has limits, even Kat’s infamous puppy dog eyes will eventually stop working

-Big emotional softie, she just hides it, a single sad look from one of her queens and she’s cracks immediately

-Gives the greatest hugs ever, some queens (Cathy and Anna) actually prefer hers over Jane’s. Although they are rarer than the ones that Jane constantly supplies to her family which is why they all cherish it more.

-While she is one of the three queens to have a license, she is actually and factually the worst driver of the three, the other queens only ask for rides from her is if they’re desperate.
