There’s no real context to this, but the initial idea is that even when becoming a god, I refuse to believe Liu Kang picked up those powers right way flawlessly during Aftermath. Even when he is no longer mortal, he still needs his lord and father. He needs Raiden, at least for a while longer before he has to abruptly let go of everyone and become the creator of a new generation. He is learning yet. Even in the next life, he will still be learning. He will make mistakes. For now, though, he is in his father’s arms.
