i think it would be really important for littles who use babytalk/littlespeak to provide translations. a lot of people who are neurodivergent, have learning disabilities that involve reading, or use screenreaders find baby talk hard to read. i find myself often having to reread littlespeak posts upwards of 10 times to figure out what they are saying.

i mean, you’re allowed not to, it’s your blog and you can do whatever you want. but accessibility is always nice.

This whole celebrating-holidays thing has been a learning curve for us...this is the first year we’ve done birthdays, mothers day, valentines, etc, and the boys are taking it serious.  Little in particular.  I just heard him tell Big, “If you ruin mom’s first mom-day by drawing a penis on her card I swear I’m gonna Thanos you”, which is Littlespeak for I will straight up dust your ass into oblivion.  Then he shoved his fingers up in Big’s face to show him he isn’t afraid to do the snap if the situation calls for it.

Guess there will be no penises on my mothers day card.  Or if Sunday rolls around and half my family is suddenly vanished, I’ll know someone got creative with the crayons again.

I think it's kind of complicated with disability because of how quickly it gets super gross (if I see one more autistic angel type alter in an allistic, I'm going to scream), but for god's sake, what do these people not get about something not being a literally identical experience =/= the alter having to hide or deny part of who they are / how they present? Like stay in your lane, but don't act like alters can control who they are?! Nuance! Why does tumblr lack it! -XXX

Identity politics. :T If someone doesn’t have the exact same experience as someone else of X label, then they have no claim to it. Race as a social reality conflated with race as a personal identity with race as broad messy terms for some physical features, all that.

(Can I snark about how common the phrase “literal children” is with regards to littles? Because that is so common. I dunno, strange standards around how to talk about non-body characteristics.)

Haven’t actually seen it come up with autism specifically, in this type of system ~activism~ I’m thinking of -- I think so many people here are themselves autistic, so kinda irrelevant, plus there aren’t too many autistic characters for there to be fictives of (and this really is focused on fictives). I have seen “no alters/kintypes (same fucking thing, apparently!) with physical disabilities you don’t have, such as paraplegia and blindness” so that’s what I’m thinking of. (Why yes this was Homestuck-related, why do you ask)

Funny the different multiplicity/DID cultures lol. I’m still shocked we don’t see as much littlespeak around here, what with the current love of age regression.

Also, I share your kind of petty hope that these people will regret being such dunces, heh. I also maintain a lot don't actually have alters at all, though. the idea of someone being able to just magically change major parts of an alter is too bizarre to me to really entertain. -XXX

Yeah, I guess really I should be hoping there’s nobody actually there whose identity is being shoved around like that. But that’s almost worse, the idea of all these not-really-multiple kids deciding how Things Shall Be for the rest of us. :)

Ancord Micro Bluetooth Speaker

Just a personal review on the ​Ancord Micro Bluetooth Speaker in Silver

I must say first, such a small little speaker with powerful sound. You would guess it’s coming from a much bigger speaker. This is speaker is smaller than a full size nail polish bottle, it’s amazing. I couldn’t believe the portability of it. You can even put it in your wallet! I didn’t know that was even possible! I am so glad I have these little speakers for small gatherings, craft projects, or when I’m doing yoga. 

The speaker comes with a small cables, but that’s okay because I had spares that are much longer. The only thing I would have loved is a aux port somewhere so I can connect it to microphone device for singing. Or, in case I just wanted to connect it via male to male chord for a non Bluetooth connection.

The charge lasts many hours for me and it takes about an hour to charge from what I’ve seen so far. I don’t have anything bad to say about these little speakers. They are so portable and so mighty in sound. The sound is great and the portability is great. I guess the only thing is that it’s only Bluetooth and it’s not Waterproof. But, sound and portability strongly makes up for this. I’d very highly recommend these to anyone. Everyone needs to have one of these! I sure am going to give my extra speaker to a special someone in my life, I know he’s going to enjoy this little guy! Two big thumbs up!

i just wanna add onto my own post to say that i understand how comforting it may be to some people to use littlespeak, much like how comforting typing quirks can be. you can absolutely continue to do it if it makes you happy, but im merely suggesting translations be put underneath for the ones who cannot read it!!
