FOREVER HOME FRIDAY! Every Friday, we feature a Ladybird adoption alumni animal in their forever home. This week's feature is Tiny B! (formerly D.C.) Rescued in 2018, Tiny B needed a lot of medical care when he first arrived. He endured many medical appointments, a couple of surgeries, and he came through the other side like a champ. Tiny B found his forever home with our friends Jill and Brianne - proprietors of @littlepawscatsitting . The best home, ever! Here's what Jill has to say about Tiny B: “Tiny B is our 7th senior rescue we’ve been lucky enough to have as part of our family. He’s big cuddly guy with loads of character! Everyone he meets immediately falls in love with him and he loves everyone right back! He enjoys chillin’ and sometimes wrestling with his brother Denny (another Ladybird alumni) and his new little brother Willie. He keeps a daily routine sleeping in his favourite box, giving puppy dog eyes for treats, and taking advantage of any opportunity for brushes belly rubs. He LOVES hanging out with us in the backyard, relaxing in his cat house or keeping our towels warm while we’re in the hot tub (don’t worry, he can’t escape the yard). He’s even a star on Tik Tok! We are so grateful to Ladybird for rescuing this cutie so we can spoil him and give him the best life ever. ❤️” ❤️ With the help of our amazing foster homes, affiliate vet clinics, and generous donors, Ladybird Animal Sanctuary has been able to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out more than one thousand animals since our start in 2011. Big thanks to our friends at @littlepawscatsitting for looking after Lois and Lyndel while their foster family were away for the weekend. We’re still working on getting Lois and Lyndel’s poop firmed up before they can be made available for adoption. 💩 It’s not 100% yet, but it’s getting better with the special diet they’re on. Available for adoption: Lyndel & Lois! AGE AT ARRIVAL: Approximately 14 weeks old ARRIVAL DATE: January 30th, 2019 GENDER: Spayed Females ADOPTION FEE: $250 for the pair NOTES: Lois & Lyndel must be adopted together. Lyndel & Lois came into Hamilton Animal Services as strays. They waited out their stray time, but were not claimed by their owner. HAS put them into their adoption program, but because they continued to have diarrhea for an extended period of time after many dewormings & medications, they had to take them out of the program. We were happy to take these two sweet kittens & get them the extra vet care they couldn’t get at HAS. Lyndel & Lois had many vet visits over the next few weeks to get their poop problem in check. After blood & fecal tests, and a couple of food & medication trials, their poop is finally solid and they’re ready to find their forever home! They’ll need to stay on the vet prescribed diet to be sure everything stays on the up and up. These two sweet kittens are having a blast at their foster home. They run and play and wrestle, and have the most fun together. Because of their strong bond, we are asking they be adopted as a pair. Here’s a note from their foster home: “This adorable pair are the best of friends & a ton of fun! Lois & Lyndel are super purry, friendly, and have bundles of kitten energy. They are both very sweet natured & love playing & pets. Although they are both still very kitteny, Lois appears to be the more energetic of the sisters but most of the time, it’s hard to tell them apart. When they came to us they were having tummy troubles & they have been very patient as we have tried a number of different treatments. Things have settled down with a special GI diet that the vet has recommended they stay on until they are a little older.
