So we know how Venus is exalted in pisces and can show like unconditional love, spiritual love and they tend to be very creative.

I feel like 7th house lord in 12th house / Neptune in 7th house can replicate this. This placement gets a bad rep yes you do attract a lot of narcissistic people and you daydream about your partners and put them on a pedestal. BLAH BLAH BLAHHHH....😫🙄

But whether your spiritual or not this could ultimately lead you to be in a highly spiritual connection with someone and neptune/12th house are like prophecies, future predictions you know......

Working as a Nurse in Peds was your dream job. You loved kids and you loved helping people. Working in Grey Sloan was a dream job it was a high ranking hospital with top of the world Doctors who wouldn't be lucky to working here.

You meant a incredible group of people who were truly your friends inside and outside of the Job. You even meant Mark Sloan there and you all to well who the man was. I mean he had a rep.

When he approached you it made you feel like you were just some type of number. Another personal goal. But always made you know that it was so much more than that.

He knew you hated Coffee could never get past warm beverages so he would bring you a slurpee in. Which sounds childish but it was something you loved.

And it was something that you always admired that he really listend to you. He even knew little things about you like you loved getting pizza on the night of your last shift because it was a great reward.

He would come up on long days and bring fod and juice and sit with you in the break room and just eat and for a couple of minuties you forgot you were in the hospital.

He was always your safe space and your person which you needed now more than ever.

The day had started off rough. As soon as you got to work the asked you to float down to the ER because they were severly understaffed.

You hated the ER it was always busy it was a mess and it was somewhere you loathed.

But well did you have a choice sadly you wish you could say you did. So you put on a brave face and you headed down there.

It started off nice and slow it wasn't to bad and you of course had your hopes that it could stay like that the rest of the shift.

Right towards the end there was a guy who yelling and throwing a fit so they brought him back to ease the other patients. Of course he got assigned to you because that's the way the ER worked.

Just throwing patients around because no one else wanted to deal with the situation.

The guy was acting like a manic from the moment you stepped into the room. It was clear that he was suffering from Mental Illness.

You did everything you could in order to soothe him. Giving him food and blankets and medicine. He calmed down for a little bit. which made you feel better.

But then like everything today it took a wrong turn and quick. He became agitated quickly he was yelling and throwing things.

You went to check on him and he got mad like something in him just switched. you tried to reason with told him you would bring him more food or something else.

You tried calling for help but no one came. He lunged over and he grabbed you hard. Which made you yelp out in pain. He just kept shaking you and then he threw on the bed.

You tried fighting him off but he was alot stronger than you. He just kept yelling over and over

"tell me your secrets" He yelled

Finally you wormed your way and headed for the door. But then he ran over and he grabbed you again and threw you on the floor. He reached down and you hit across the face.

You just kept wondering why the hell help hasn't arrived yet.

You opened your eyes again and you could see his hand cocked back to hit you again.

your hands were placed across your face hoping to soften to blow but then you heard the door open up.

"Get the hell off of her" You heard a familair voice ring out.

Mark ran in got the guy off you and landing a hard punch to the guy knocking him down off his feet.

More people finally ran into help. Getting you off your feet into the hallway. It took about 3 people to get Mark off of the guy.

You walked past the ER just fueled on anger and adrenline. You headed into a sleeping room.

Mark was following right on your heels which is something You didn't know. Because you were too hyper focused.

When you made it to the room you almost shut the door in his face but he grabbed it and locked the door behind him. You two moved to the bed.

You didn't say anything to each other you just sat on the bed and he sat down next to you.

He wrapped his big arms around you and just held you. You laid your head in his chest and just melted into him. He was always your safe space.

He ran his fingers through your hair something that always made you feel better.

After a few minitues you calmed down. You lifted up your head and looked up at him. You didn't even realize you had been crying. Marks top was wet from all the tears.

"I'm sorry" was all you mustered out

He grabbed your face and made you look up at him. Your eyes meant and he just gave you a soft look

"Do not apolgize to me ever are you okay" He asked

"where the hell where they. I can't believe they didn't show up and help me" You said anger in your voice

"I don't know but listen to me it should never happend I'll talk to Chief were fire everyone on staff" He said.

"No no that's crazy I just want a answer" You said

"Then we will you you one my love" He said

"But for now let's go home I'll clean you up there so we don't have to do interuptions then pizza and a good movie" He said.

"Sounds incredible but can we just sit for another second I think i need to calm down more" You said.

He pulled you down and took the blanket with him and you laid down on his chest. He laid down the blanket on you and you could feel all the adrenline wearing off and crashing down.

You instanly felt a lot better knowing he was right there with you. You knew you were okay there and no one was going to hurt you anymore.

He just laid with you his arms wrapped you tight. Laying on his chest you could feel his heart beating.

Its in moments like these you really realized how lucky you were. No one has ever been there for you like this before.

The first night Douglas meets you is at a charity event at the New Orleans Museum of Art during the unveiling of a new exhibition called Double Space: Women Photography and Surrealism. It’s part of his press officer’s drive to showcase his support of the arts.

Events like this are a chore, he spends the evening being spoken at, not spoken to by people trying to illicit funding for all sorts of things, it can get a little much sometimes, all these people wanting something from him. There’s only so much that he can give and every cause is seems so important.

When you stand to take the stage and discuss the collection, Douglas is seated on the front row. He’s enamoured almost immediately. You explain how the work by these women challenges the masculine ideals of what it is to be a muse and how they took back surrealism from André Breton after being ignored by the movement. The topic is clearly something your passionate about, he can tell from the pitch of your voice as you command the room.  

When he’s introduced to you as the curator of the museum, you’re more stunning than he realised. He expects you to be like all the others, to try to sell him on some new program or another exhibit that requires funding but you don’t. Instead you ask him what he thinks about the showcase and despite everything his PR person advises he tells you the truth.

“I don’t get it.”

You laugh then because you find his honesty refreshing.

“I could explain it to you if you like.” You offer and he takes you up on that because the alternative is him being drawn into another conversation about budgets within the parish and you are far more interesting.

Your arm loops through his and he finds himself being guided not towards the exhibition but away from it and through a door out into the sculpture garden. He inclines his head towards you in question as you lead him onto the Mississippi Meanders, a bright, colourful bridge made of tempered glass and steel. It’s gorgeous piece of art, it feels both solid and light underneath his feet as you stroll together, like lovers into the depths of the night.

“You looked like you needed a breather.” You say by way of explanation. “I know I certainly did.”

“You mean you aren’t going to explain the complexities of feminism in the surrealist era to me?” He smiles and you smile back shrugging your shoulders.

“If it’s not your thing, then it’s not your thing.” You say before you release his arm and stare out across the river instead. “I expect you’re more into expressionism, a Van Gogh fan although you would never admit it.”

His cheeks colour then because you aren’t wrong, in fact you have him pegged entirely. He’s always told people he prefers Degas because of the sobriety of the work but his true love is Van Gogh’s complexity and use of color.  

“It means you’re a dreamer.” You tell him as he joins you at the railing to study the water. “You enjoy things that evoke an emotional response, that you find creative and challenging.”

Douglas doesn’t speak, he’s too surprised because people don’t talk to him this way, they beat around the bush, they amble but you, you’re real and Douglas, he likes that, he likes that alot.

“I’m sorry.” You say mistaking his silence for offense. “I can be an acquired taste sometimes.”

“No.” He says, his voice a little rough. “You were right about all of it, it’s just…”

He struggles to find the words.

“…people don’t see those things about me. They see the mayor and that’s all. They forget that I’m a person, one that lives and breathes, who has thoughts and feelings of his own. It’s invigorating actually meeting someone that sees beyond all of that…”

He’s interrupted by the appearance of his PR rep Martha at the edge of the bridge, she taps her watch and he sighs because he wishes his time really was his own, that he could spend all night, just the two of you talking on the Mississippi Meanders.

“I have to go.” He says regretfully.

“I understand.” You say and he thinks that maybe you do, you’re jobs are similar in that respect, there’s always something that requires your attention, someone who needs your advice. You reach into your purse, pulling out your card before handing it to him. “Call me, if you want to take another walk, talk about Van Gogh.”

“I will.” He promises you as he tucks it inside the interior pocket of his suit, the one closest to his heart. “Trust me I will.”

Hey Storm, i am some what a baby army and i just very recently found your blog because i picked an interest in Jikook and wanted to know more about them. Going through your blog has been like a breath of fresh air. I love how you present the information you know about Jikook and i love how you ALWAYS back up your claim with facts. When i need credible information about Jikook your blog is the first place i run to and i am grateful we have someone like you here.

So as i said, I developed an interest in jikook and i am trying to gather my facts about them so i am not deceived by edits and wrong information. I do believe Jikook are a thing but sometimes i get a lil confused by some of the things i see about taekook. I don’t think Taekook are a couple ofcourse but i would like to have more information on somethings that happened when i wasn’t in the fandom yet.

So one of the biggest moments for taekooker is the Atomix date. I don’t have alot of details of the whole thing but i know Jk posted a selfie with Tae which was taken at the restaurant and according to some taekookers, the restaurant made a post and tagged taekook and thanked them for coming. But i am a little confused cuz i’ve seen so many shippers and non shippers claim that all of BTS were at the restaurant, not only taekook. They mentioned someone emailed the restaurant and they confirmed that BTS were all there. But tkkrs insist it was just Tae and Jk and that Jk made a reservation 6 weeks earlier and they even got to go on a day, the restaurant wasn’t normally open. Do you have more details about this?

Me, forgetting that baby armys weren't here during the whole atomix thing because it feels like that all happened yesterday.... but I guess in reality that was 2 years ago. So it tracks 😭😂

September 2021, after the MET, BTS went out to eat at Atomix and JK posted a 3 photo series on his Instagram (he has since deleted his insta and everything on it 😭) of him and him and Tae in the Atomix bathroom mirror. They looked GORGEOUS.

And tkkrs took it and ran with the idea that it was then a taekook date. Would've been a nice dinner out together if it was, but it was confirmed by a staff members friend who was an ARMY and a Tae bias (not a shipper) that all of BTS and their management and staff were there. Polyamory in lore olympus

okay! so you know how I'm a desperate bitch for poly rep... guess I needed to add the word good in front of that cause this shit isn't it.

So one thing that I just need to say.. is I'm confused where the fuck rs is doing her research, cause a polyamorous 'pod' isn't a very common term and has the exact same meaning as polycule. Cause rs has proven to not be one to actually do alot of research, so it feels weird that she used a term like that.

Now another thing is that Poseidon wasn't polyamorous before... I could only really find two thing that point towards that. The first being a joke about him looking a second wife.. which in context is clearly just him using it to edge on hades... and it's never mentioned again.

That and the end of season 2, with the one panel of a bunch of people including Amphitrite hugging Poseidon... I assumed this was just his children. I really don't dislike Poseidon being poly I think it could've been really good rep but rs either did have him being poly since the beginning and just never actually put any thought or time into saying it... or added it after the fact to lampshade and earn more points for being inclusive.

You know what.. it may be the first... but given that we have Persephone saying the identical line as leuce.. and Hades just.. didn't correct her? like come on hades I know your a horny fucker but also Poseidon is now someone whos being actively bigoted against whenever someone saying he's a cheater.. and you don't stand up for him if the person is making you horny? Also it just retroactively makes all the bitching that hades does about his brother cheating gross... cause hades is now basically blaming Poseidon for how OTHER people wrongfully view his poly relationships.

Now something that just really piss me off.. is that this is being confirmed by hades just saying he's poly.. besides one panel of him hugging his partners, we haven't actually seen him being polyamorous. Why was does he still only have one wife, why haven't we seen any of these other partners... and why aren't we learning this from Poseidon himself.

It just... annoys me, am I supposed to applaud at the fact that hades said the word polyamous? We just have Poseidon, Amphitrite and then bunch of nameless and basically faceless people... it just feels so half assed. You just had a wedding scenes.. have Poseidon and his partners be together during that.. have him mention his partners while they did the dumb best man bit. Like have us learn that Poseidon picked hades as his best man over zeus multiple times.. that would be a sort of funny way to learn about it.

Just a little bit more... it wouldn't be that difficult. It really fucking hurt when you have like four separate hetero-normative monogamous relationships that you give so much time and thought into but any level of queer relationship is completely fucking ignored. It's so fucking clear that these are just here to make this comic look more progressive when it just fucking isn't.

Like rs you went out of your way to make Athena and Hestia gay and then just never actually did anything with it... And now Poseidon is the same. You have multiple kinda unnecessary chapters learning about how Aphrodite and Hephaestus got together just so we can have the name drop of Kassandra really... But you don't have at least one chapter actually about either of the queer relationships in this comic.

Also I just think it's important to talk about Zeus with this. I've seen alot of fans say that Zeus is polyamorous because hes a serial cheater.. which is just a wonderful unproblematic stereotype/s. While I don't see as much of that directed at poseiden... he's very much repeatedly labeled as a cheater by the story, so again either rs planned for him to be a poly character and decided it would be... funny? if he was unchallengedly called a cheater repeatedly.. or again Rs retroactively made all the characters that call him a cheater just assholes and also decided it would be best to pick a cheater to be the polyam character.

This really just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, cause polyamorous people have so little representation and most of it is pretty shitty or stereotypical and lore olympus a story so focused on monogamous romances had a great chance to actually make something good... christ one chapter of just Poseiden and his relationship could be enough to make it good. Instead we have a character repeatedly labeled a cheater and then have someone else tell us he's actually poly.

Yona of the dawn

Yona was the first story that i read this year and damm was it the right way to set the tone for the year. It's a story that has all of the elements that I adore in the fantasy genre, its got the action, political drama, the multi-facted characters. I won't be saying much about this manga because i have already have an older post talking about my favorite aspects, so if you want more in depth thoughts you can search for that

Kashoku no shiro

Now here is a fun setting, Taisho era Japan with supernatural elements. Quick run down of the story, people are being affected by a mysterious disease that makes flowers bloom all over their bodies, once the flowers wilt so does the person but there are cases where they recover and become even healthier. But plot twist, the ones who survive will become demons who feast on human flesh. So thats where our protagonist Shiraume comes in, she acts as 'bait' for these demons, essentially luring them out for her master to slaughter

If i had to tell you what drew me to this story, it would be the art style, like it is drop dead gorgeous. Also the design of our heroine is just my type too which is a bonus

Plot wise it does feel a little all over the place, it jumps persecptive quite often. Like it jumps form a detective story, to a josei love story, to Demon slayer which feels kinda jarring for me. But the backstory of our protagonist was done quite well, one thing i can praise is that our heroine isn't a simpering doormat. It's true that she has lived a hard life but she just keep living in the best way that she can manage. Shiraume is never the type to mope around or bemoan her fate, she takes charge and endure, she does everything in her power to live for her loved ones.

Its a good read all in all, but since theres only about 20 chapters that are out i can't really tell if this is gonna flop or not. I'll be keeping on eye on it to see if the author manages to get it together.

Bibliophile princess

The most mediocre otome isekai story i've ever fucking read. Its vanilla, like 'sex with the lights off no kinky shit' vanilla.

Story-wise, it's a very simple set up. Book enthusiast Elianna is in a contract fiancee relationship with the crown prince who i cannot be bothered to remember or google the name of. She is beloved by all of the staff memebers, all the secondary male characters love her and she has a great family but oh no! It seems that the prince has fallen for another woman, which means that her engagement with the prince will be ending soon. Yeah if your an otome isekai reader you can guess where this is going, villainess tries to ruin our heroines rep by spreading false rumors yada yada yada...

Similar to Kashoku no shiro, what drew me in was the art nouveau style. I mean the amount of details in the illustrations are amazing, coupled with the dreamy pastel color palette it creates this feeling that you really are in a fairy tale world

One of my main problems with the first volume is how weirdly structured the story is. Like it begins with the prince asking Elianna to enter a contract relationship with him and them jumps to a four year time skip for no apparent reasoning? Like we don't get to see alot of romantic development between them so now suddenly Elianna is in love? But moving on, i felt like Elianna has like little to no self awareness or agency. The first volumes conflict is about how this noble girl is rumored to be the princes lover and is planning to take Eliannas place. At this point you would expect to see our heroine stand up for herself and assert her place in the court right? Wrong. She was basically left in the dark about whats truly going on until the end of the volume. It was revealed that the noble girl was a villain all along who was trying to frame Elianna for shit she didn't do, also conveniently our MC has a mile long list of accomplishments that we as the reader didn't know about, and apparently she didn't either. So yeah, the male leads basically was protecting her for the whole story and she just wandered around feeling insecure about being replaced

Cold game

Do you like the story of king Henry the eighths six wives? Do you wanna see all six of them do a battle royal for the chance to become queen? Do you like crossdressing heroines? Well look no further than Cold game

Our MC is princess Aruna of the B kingdom, yes i know weird name but bare with me here, who is meant to be engaged to the king of the E kingdom. But here's the sus part, he already has a queen from the S country but he's demanding another wife from the B country? Quite the odd request but since B is weaker than E they had to comply with the demands. Aruna knows she's being sent as a sacrificial lamb but her lord father told her to hang on for a bit, one day he will get her out of that place. So to protect herself, Aruna swap places with her handmaiden and pretended to be crossdressing knight.

One of the best things about this story is the political intrigue. Like from the get go, we are shown that the court is a brutal place where an inconspicuous letter can be the cause of your down fall. People here will always watch your every move, everyone fears one another to an extent. Also the side characters are so fucking cool, like these people can star in their own spin off kinda cool.

I've been thinking about representation again and the forms it can take and classifying them, and kinda just want to organise my thoughts here. Don't mind if I ramble for a bit, using a few examples.

From what I've seen so far, representation tends to take 3 main forms, and ALL OF THEM HAVE A PURPOSE.

Understated and insignificant, a slight mention

Meaningful and a fairly important part of the character

the character is an exaggeration of the thing they represent

So, first off, the "shallow" rep. Y'know, the kind people call "shoehorning" or whatever. This one can be a bit of a hot topic, and I feel like most people act like it's more of a problem than it actually is. However, in some cases it actually becomes very beneficial to the message the representation is trying to add.

For this one, I'm going to use Rainbow Six Siege as an example. Bear with me. For those who don't know about Rainbow Six, as in the original concept, not necessarily just the game, the idea is to have a global unit of the world's best soldiers, from as many different countries and backgrounds as possible, so that you always have a local expert on any situation and someone to provide a different view. The whole point of team Rainbow IS diversity, and always has been, but it more means diverse nationality.

However, Siege does add little tidbits of Sexual and gender diversity; a few gay characters, bi, trans, and Enby. However, this information is only mentioned briefly in the bios of the characters, regarded as a very insignificant detail. While this could come across as shallow representation, I think it really serves the game's message well. It does not matter who these people are or what their background is, they can do all the same cool operator shit as everyone else. There are trans people in the military, bis, enbies, and so on, and alot of people are against that, but Rainbow presents the message that it does not matter and they belong there.

Moving onto rep where it's a meaningful part of the character, or the media uses one to one metaphors to represent the identity (what I mean by one to one will make more sense later). This is where most "good rep" falls, and the example I'm using here, because it's one of the characters I know best, is Gwen Poole, AKA Gwenpool. Gwen's Aroace identity is still a fairly recent addition, with her having a several comic arc dedicated to learning about it. It would take far too long to delve into the deep details of Gwen's story and why she acts the way she does, but in short, she often tries to "put on a show", do things because she thinks shes supposed to in order to be interesting and relevant to avoid her comics being cancelled and fading into obscurity. In this comic arc, her appearances in Marvel's Love Unlimited series, she attempts to start an interesting romance to be interesting and stay relevant. She goes through attempt after attempt, trying different things, stopping on being gay/bi for a bit and seeing if that works, before things fall apart and she realises her identity. What I mean by a "one-to-one metaphor" here is how she forces things to happen to be an interesting character and because she feels like she's supposed to, which parallels how alot of Aspec people force themselves into relationships because they feel like it's normal and what they're meant to do.

And the third category, the exaggeration. This part is when "one to one" is going to make more sense. The exaggeration normally exists in a fantasy setting, where you can more clearly and outwardly display the complex inner workings of a person's mind. This is different to one-to-one where a character experiences those feelings as normal and just talks about them, as opposed to the media exaggerating and clearly displaying those feelings.

The example I'm gonna use for this is Jordan from Gen V, a spinoff of The Boys. (For those who don't know much about the boys and thinks its just that show edgy teens watch, its not. Theyre both very leftist shows, both in being supportive of marginalised groups and a larger criticism of capitalism and the right wing, especially with anti-immigration politics.)

Anyway, Jordan's power is to switch between being a man and woman in an instant, and having different powers depending on which they are. (For the purposes of this character, I am going to talk about gender as a binary, because that is how their power works.)

The show's target audience aren't exactly the kind of people who are going to pick up on nuanced ideas of gender identity, dysphoria, and such, so it isn't exactly subtle with that it's trying to say. Masc Jordan's power is being indestructable and immovable, and fem Jordan's power is some form of shockwave power, so their fight dynamic is attack as a girl and switch when they need to take a hit. I'm not gonna talk about the obvious implications of being a man to take hits and feel strong, it'd be a waste of time.

So that covers why they switch in fights, but which identity do they use out of fights?

The show makes 3 things clear: Jordan grew up as a boy before discovering their powers, and prefers being a girl and feels more confortable that way. So why do they ever present masc?

It's when they want to impress people, appear respectable/ traditional, appear strong and intimidating, or generally do not feel safe/comfortable, especially around their unsupportive parents. It's almost all based around internalized misogony.

So while the obvious interpretation to take about this character's identity is gender fluidity, I don't think that's the case, and this is where the exaggeration idea comes in. Jordan's power acts as an exaggeration of how they feel like they should present, as opposed to their actual identity. Having an instant and clear switch makes it easier for the audience to understand their feelings and comprehend what's going on identity wise. I believe Jordan's story much more closely resembles that of a trans woman, and the fluidity is just a way of showing their feelings.

I don't feel like I'm explaining this the best, but the exaggerated form of representation can make it clearer for the audience to understand emotions that are usually very subconscious and deep down. I recently cracked when I realised that most of the time, I was subconsciously viewing myself as more feminine and as a girl. I started questioning being NB or Fluid when I noticed sometimes I felt it was right to be more masc, but Jordan was there to exaggerate and clearly display those feelings to make them easier to interpret, and I realised I was in a similar situation and felt the same way.

So, in summary:

Subtle rep is designed to show that we're really all the same, and should be treated as equal.

One-to-one rep is designed to be directly relatable.

Exaggerated rep is designed to make it easier to interpret compex ideas and subconscious feelings to get a better understanding.

Where to even begin? If you like any type of fantasy, I think you will enjoy this book. It's lighthearted, hilariously funny, and have some great character growth. Even if you don't like fantasy but like romance, you may also want to check this book out. I would call it fantasy, but with some major realism.

This is such a interesting concept for a book. What truly happens to the heroes after they finish this epic journey that 90% of the true fantasy book takes place? Where else have you heard of a book picking up 10 years after these heroes complete their great quest?

The worldbuilding in this book was great. The authors pull the reader in and explain exactly where the characters are and why. The authors also do a amazing job of bringing modern technology into this fantasy world. Seriously, they way they handle that stuff is quite literally freaking genius. It didn't break the immersion but pulled me harder into the book.

The character growth in this book is written really well. All 3 of our main characters go thru some real hardships that they still have to face/come to terms with in order to move on. It nice to see those struggles presented especially in the fantasy novel(I feel like we don't always see that).

This book also has great LGBTQ Rep.

The banter and the chemistry these characters have is so good. Like, had me kicking and screaming like the teenage girl I am and throwing my kindle across the room. The found family trope is also so so cute!

This book gives me 80's fantasy movie vibes. It's just a really fun read. Even if you aren't a reader but play DND, I think this is a great read for you.

Long time since I wrote something Here my Birthday is coming up again and when I started to write here my Birthday was also coming up, felt a little nostalgic and wanted to write again here 🙈.

Change can be so scary but also feel like a fresh breath of Air that might slap you back into happiness, try a new Style, Change your Hair at Home or at a Salon, try a new make Up Style, get to know yourself so you can Change yourself, Accept yourself, gain new knowledge about new things or things that you already Love, go to the Gym gain sum muscle, do whatever something new something out of Charakter or something you like but where scared to do, I personally completly Changed my Hair and currently I'm trying a new Style (clothes,shoes,nails), This can help WAY more then you might think.

But for me im bi, i have a preference for women and only use this place to express my love for fictional men as i dont tend to express my desire for men in real life. I dont tend to express anything online about women as i have alot of sexual repression and guilt, i feel like a predator for being attracted to women and even more of a pos for being a dom leaning switch and wanting to dominate women.

I understand that mostly this argument comes from the frustration of lack of queer rep in fandom/fics but there are many reasons why a bi person might not express their queerness on their blog like that. Considering how common it is for bi women/ppl to only write men, maybe they should consider that..

It is not abandoning a community or not being actually bisexual or whatever

I understand to some extent we have a duty to our community but someones self indulgent blog that usually acts as a digital diary and not a "content farm" isnt one of them

Would i like more queer rep? Yes. Has finding queer rep helped me through my journey? Sure. Like you are saying, there's been witch hunts, and just aggresive picking against writers when all we wanted to do from the beginning was to have fun. There's always an issue. People always want to find the little needle in the pile of hay.

I write my own way of queer representation in my own things. There's always a queer relationship in it, and sexualities are also mentioned.

People are being shamed for kinks, or writing about them. Everything is an issue for those people that preach "write whatever you want to write" but yet are very aggressive and mean towards people that do exactly that.

I have my own reasons as to why I don't write x women character (I'm a cis woman) and I won't bare my heart to a bunch of unknown people with them. But I think I have made my attraction to women known by reblogging and commenting on things regarding celebrities or characters that I really like.

I'm sorry you feel like you are a threat even in your own skin and sexuality, and trust me you are none of those things. You shouldn't feel guilty for being your own person, and much less of who you are. The only person who has the right to judge you is yourself, you are your worst critic and your worst judge.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you are valid and you are seen and you aren't a threat at all, you are just a person my love.

Helpful Consistency tips & tricks!

I’ve never been the one to be consistent as we learned from my previous posts in the past. Currently, I’m trying to figure out what workouts I can do and figuring out what days work best to workout with my new schedule. However in the mean time, I want to share the knowledge I’ve gained doing CrossFit, running and lifting weights the past few years, I learned some discipline and I’ve also tricked myself.😜 so here are some tips and tickery I follow:

1. Tip: Create an Exercise Playlist or multiple Playlists…

When creating an exercise play list, use music that gets your body moving. For me, it’s 90s dance music. Happy sounding music works for me. Sometimes people like to angry workout so they listen to heavy metal or hardcore rap. Make sure the playlist is longer than your workout time, in case you skip over songs. Create multiple playlists in case you easily get bored of the same thing playing over and over again.

Whatever motivates you, get it ready!

2. Trick: I told myself ‘Don’t go more than 2 days without moving your body’…

This helped me so much in staying consistent. Whether it was going for a run, going to the gym, taking a class or going hiking. This also gave my body the opportunity to rest as well. If I had a makeup gig in the morning then a Spa shift at night, I couldn’t go. So I can’t be too hard on myself, if I still had an extra day. Sometimes I would lay in my bed, 2 days passed, and I’m thinking to myself, I don’t want to go, but I remembered my rule and I got up and went!

3. Trick: I left myself notes… like a psycho🤪😝😂

On certain days, I would do certain things. Right now it’s rather difficult because my work schedule has changed, but I will figure it out 🤗 I felt like A Beautiful Mind with all my post-its in my apartment, but it was helpful. Place it somewhere you can see it all the time. For me, the window in front of my kitchen sink. You could also leave words or quotes of affirmation.

It didn’t just help in keeping my workouts, but also, managing my little home. Sometimes it’s hard to DO IT ALL! Words are powerful!

4. Tip: Get your supplements… if it’s within your budget.

Nothing motivated me more when I invested in my proteins and muscle supporting supplements. This is hard if you don’t have that mullah. There were times where I really had to weigh my goals vs. my finances. (Remember I chose paying monthly for CrossFit over having Health insurance) I’ve always invested in myself, who else do I have to work for (Besides my cat, Emilio)? I’m single (happily) as hell 😂

I know, for my body type, it’s really hard to build and maintain muscle. So getting protein and creating a shake I can enjoy after a workout is really important to support your muscles and burn your fat. What I lack right now, is consistency in drinking it in the morning and at night. When I cut out everything, I realized I felt less bloated and inflamed when I gave up dairy and that included whey protein. All last year I was lifting and drinking whey protein and I always looked and felt bloated. I switched to plant based protein and I feel a lot better! Listen to your body, it talks more than I do😜 I wish I’d listened sooner.

I go to the Nutrishop and they help me out there to figure out what I need.

5. Trick: Have a plan of attack AND a back up!

I love lists (like this post lol) but more importantly, ‘To Do’ lists that I can cross off. So I love going into the weight room, but so do ALOT of people. When I started going more consistently, I realized what machines and workouts I love doing. Then, I created a workout list for machines And a separate one for free weights. This is incase if the weight room is busy, I can then just do Legs Machine Workouts. I also follow some fitness influencers that actually give tips (ex: @bigronjones on insta. He gives ‘practical advice for your real world goals’ 😎) and add them into my lists with the workouts I love.

6. Tip: Keep track of how much weight, reps, how much time and what you do!

This is so you could adjust the difficulty and push yourself. It’s great to see where you started and where you are headed. Everything is the (parenthesis) is where I am currently… everything that’s not is where I used to be.

I have the capability of time management, however at the same time, time gets away from me so I like to track how long my workouts last because I can time manage my morning with breakfast, Emilio’s routine, cooking and getting ready for work.

7. Trick: Live close to the gym lol

This is not serious or something you absolutely have to do if you are not able. But for me… it’s worked for me. sometimes getting out of bed and thinking of getting ready and how long it takes you to get there demotivated me quickly. When I moved to my own place, having the gym around the corner was definitely a reason to move there and start up my fitness journey again. 5 min walk? That eases my time management anxiety! Perfect… no more excuses!

8. Tip: Body Scans at the Nutrashop

If you are a frequent customer, they allow you to use their body scan machine for free. It a machine that can tell you how much muscle or fat you have, etc. The point is it can keep you accountable and you can see your progress. It great to have a starting point (especially if you want to muscle build) but feel like this is one should be taken seriously, once you’ve establish a consistency and routine. Otherwise, it can discourage you or maybe it can encourage you to establish a routine. However, your mind works!

9. Trick: When Counting reps… do the countdown trick.

I easily get distracted when I count and I lose place a lot. So I tricked my mind in counting up then when I reach halfway begin counting down.

For example: 10 reps

1 2 3 4 5…5 4 3 2 1

Weirdly enough, I’ve just tricked my mind to thinking the workout is almost over.

10. Tip: Do workouts that are fun for you!

If the goal is to get your body moving and not get bored, mix it up. Sometimes my joints hurt and I can’t lift weights, so I do yoga or lesson my weight or reps. Get on a bike instead of walking on the treadmill, or go on a hike. Mix it up. Going to classes at the gym are a great way to workout and not have to think about what you are gonna do if that day you are mentally overwhelmed!

I hope this list is helpful! My mind works overtime in thinking of creating systems, time and numbers so this works for me. (It almost sounds like the beginning of developing OCD) However if even one of these things work for you, let me know!

I didn’t write ‘making goals’ because Consistency is the beginning. That is the main reason for this list…as well as…Organization. Diet & Goals will be a later post. I like the slow build and taking my time especially the healing my body has to do after the inflammation tissue damage of now being autoimmune.

After all, for me, it’s about building good healthy habits. Endurance is better than a sprint.😁💪🏽🫶🏽

sounds like something i'd hear in a 2000's stick fighting animation; it does not sound good on it's own but i believe it'd go hard if it was accompanied by something that outweighs how bad it is.

Spotify Discovery 10/2

Lot of ukulele tracks in this one, and it’s a mixed bag. I cannot explain for the life of me what makes a ukelele song sound not bad to me but when I crack that code you’ll know.

Generally good though! The bad tracks though I hated more than last time. Also sorry for the delay I had work and a litany of other things (other writing projects) that distracted me lmao.

Good:

Playing on Train Tracks: Very Mountain Goats in its execution, note that it does cover self-destructive behaviors so be wary but the honesty here is captured so well. I love the use of language and metaphor, cutting live wires, standing on the cliff but never jumping, standing on the train tracks, it hits. The simple instrumentals isn’t overly “stripped down” it fits the subject. Good stuff.

What We Have is You: A song from Kipo, a nice little lullaby. Don’t remember what the context of this bit was in the show but I really liked it. Sterling K Brown has a nice voice.

The Dragon of Climate Change: Not one I’ll listen to frequently but I did enjoy the jaunty folk feel combined with the “fuck the rich” vibes. Calling out carbon credits was a good bit. Very bard core.

Lover (take me to the moon): Gives me confused person in love and I think it works. I wish I could really say what makes these sorts of songs click with me vs brush them off as kinda overdone but I’m afraid it’s a mystery to me as well.

Ghost Choir Vocals: Gives the iconic Ghost Choir lyrics in the style of “Mr.Sandman” and the singer is absolutely lovely. Fun and short, always a treat to hear the ghost choir in general and Louie’s instrumentals lend to the singer’s voice.

Davy Jones: I’ve listened to this cover a shit ton on Youtube and still love the vocals. The Davy Jones/Calypso storyline is a fav and there’s just. Mwah. Chef’s kiss vibes. Not much to say here other than absolute banger. (For an improved experience look up the duet version).

Suffering: A dance to agony, it works in a way of celebrating despite it all. The singer is lovely, the guitar is jaunty, and the rhythm is fast and fun. I like it! Gives me Crane Wives vibes and that’s always a plus for me.

Medusa in a Stone Garden: There’s an interesting energy around this one kinda folk rock? I like the Medusa energy, the repetition can wear on at times but other than that? Excellent.

The Water is Fine: Gives me Mariza/Delta vibes, there’s nice overlap on the vocals, there’s energy here too that is fun. A bit Oh Hellos, a bit Amazing Devil.

Anywhere But Here: A lovely little music box style waltz, very romantic. Melancholic too, and just the sort of thing I like to wind down to.

Duet in Death: Another classical piece, I’m sure if I knew more about the webtoon Nevermore I’d have more of an affinity? But a duet between a piano and a violin is one I’m always a sucker for. I adore violins when they’re done well and this one is spectacular.

Devil’s Flesh & Bones: Another WTNV alumni! Eliza Rickman is neat, she’s got a very distinct voice, kinda Cabaret and kinda jazz. This one all works for me.

Neutral:

Rises the moon: The vocal performance of this cover is… a little shaky at times? But I like the song and I think that it’s alright.

Tough to be a Bug: A twee little ukulele ditty, it’s cute but not really one that I’ll listen to. A bit too soft for me ig.

Bird Song: Not the Florence and the Machine song, but a different one. I enjoyed the folk vibes but the chorus has this kinda tropical electronica and that’s just not my vibe? The song has a general montage feel which works for what it is but a meh experience overall.

A Shitty Gay Song About You: The guitar plus the twinkly xylophone and the monotone vocals aren’t… really my vibe. The lyrics are kinda neat, but it’s not for me. I could see someone making a cute animatic to it though.

I think I want to be alone: Relatable but the style is a little too TikTok for me with the playful vibes combined with the depressing lyrics? Doesn’t scratch an itch for me.

Katarina Josephina: I’m not really sure what to make of this one. It’s got the trappings of a folk story song but it’s got a strange energy to it. Not certain what to say doesn’t work for me, but the trap break definitely does not.

The Spider’s Face: I like the song Nothing from this musical but goddamn this one is too “playful sing song evil” for me. The plucking strings and the vocals… it does not do it for me. Very unpleasant to listen to.

Aisling Song: I do not enjoy listening to children sing. This is a child singing in a very ~dreamlike~ way. I’m sure this works in the movie “Secret of Kells” but without the visuals I would really rather not listen.

PATROCLUS MEETS HIS FATE: I love orchestral stuff, I love video game music, but the artificial strings really take away any of the grandiosity for me. It’s very canned and I’m not a fan.

Typical Me: DSMP song and not a good one. I don’t like the vocals or the lyrics. Very monotone and unpleasant.

Give a Little: The saxophone and vintage swing feel are neat but I reaaaaally don’t like the vocals. They ruin it for me. Sorry CG5 but really not doing it for me.

64 Little White Things: This is Scary Jokes with the vocal style and again. Not a fan of that. There’s something about the vocals that just sets my teeth on edge, the sing/talking style with the modulation and the carnival music… no. Can’t do it.
