Band-aids of death
Masterlist Luke Castellan x Hades! reader (implied, fem) Percy Jackson x Hades! reader (platonic) Summary: Percy meets the bandaid dealer who has his friend so smitten Warning: Absolutely non, teeth rotting stuff really, no use of y/n author note: English is not my first language so I am sorry for any mistakes beforehand. I read the books long ago and I'm currently in the process of re-reading them, so some lore might be wrong. Also using what I remember from the show! Proofread by me and me only :( word count: 1347

Percy has been at this camp stuff for a week now and he was just not loving it. From the overcrowded cabin 11 to Clarisse's relentless bugging, he just wanted to go home. This was his home now, yes, but that does not mean he can't yearn for better. And on top of all that, it seemed like he was good at absolutely nothing. If there was a competition at being bad at everything he would still somehow end up in second place.
Today was no better. Luke, Counselor of the Hermes cabin, has decided that maybe Percy could take on a sword fight. He couldn't. Not like he could go against the best swordsman in the last 300 years anyway.
After what felt like hours, Luke finally gave the boy a break and Percy finally felt like he could breathe. Only for a second that is, because his friend decided to take him to a new area of the camp.
Walking to a small building only lightly connected to the infirmary was rather ominous. While everywhere in the camp where people, this shack could be abandoned and he would not be surprised. His friend. However, walked faster than normally, seemingly excited to show him what's inside.
They stopped by the open door and Percy could finally see that it was not abandoned and the little two-story house was, indeed, occupied. Looking at his friend with suspicion, who now sports a wide grin on his face, Percy could not help but think there was more to it than Luke said.
Walking in, Luke chimes the bell that sits on the top of the door frame. The girl who, until now, was checking out the shelves of what seems to be medicine and chemicals turns around with a confused look. She wore the same ‘ camp uniform ‘ as everyone else, confirming to Percy that she was one of them as well. Although her shirt seemed to have switched color schemes and was black with an orange print of the camp name.
“ Hello Sweetheart, how's the inventory going?” Luke asks and pushes Percy slightly in front of him, not something he appreciates. The girl, unamused, does not answer his question. Instead, she answers him with her own.
“ What brings you here, Castellan? Last time I checked you did not need allergy medication.” Chuckle could be heard from his friend. Percy, not interested in their bickering, looks around the room. Small table by the door with a stack of paper, a black mysterious jar, and what Percy recognizes as an old land-line phone. One wall of the room was just a shelf with what he now knows for sure is medicine with a door at the end. By the window, there was an old medical bed, and next to it, stood, by Percy's standards, an unstable chair.
A hand on his shoulder snaps him out and he turns his head back to the girl. “ So what's wrong with you?” She asks and motions him to sit on what seems to be a more sturdy version of the same chair he just saw.
“ Other than that I suck at everything and my father not bothering to claim me? Nothing much really.” Laugher was heard from the two older campers.
“ No, I meant like, why are you here guys? If you were training with Lu here, you might have some scratches.” She points to Luke, who seems to be proud just of the fact that she acknowledges him. Before he can answer she continues,
“Although if you're seriously hurt, maybe you should visit the Apollo kids, I ain’t no nurse, really.”
“ No need for that, we just need some band-aids.” Luke proclaims and pats his chest where his heart is.
“ You have bandaids in your cabin, and I know for sure, I saw your siblings steal some. “ she snapped back softly at his friend.’ It's in their nature’ Luke says under his nose and takes a few steps to the girl putting his arm around her shoulders.
“ Sweetheart here is a terrible nurse-”
“Hey! I am an excellent necromancer!”
“Too bad that your patient is still alive, Sweets,” Luke argues back at the girl. She just shakes her head and walks behind her desk. Luke follows closely behind her like a magnet was pulling him over. Percy watches as she opens a drawer and pulls out the biggest box of band-aids he has ever seen.
“ What kind do you want, em…” She looks at him kinda awkwardly.
“Percy.” “ Right, Percy, do you want Spiderman band-aid? It's a big hit with the younger campers.” She smiles and pulls out an impressive collection of Spiderman band-aids.
“ Ah, no, normal ones are fine.” I watch as a pout appears on her face as she puts them back and starts to look through the box as if looking for something.
“I want the Spiderman one.” Chimes in Luke who is now leaning over this girl.
“ You can get the boring ones, Castellan, I don't care.” It was now Luke's turn to pout. “ What cabin are you from?” Percy asks, wanting to learn some more about the girl that has his friend so smitten. Her eyes look up at him before going back to her box.
“ I don't have a cabin, I sleep on the second floor. There is a staircase in the back.” She says as it is the most normal thing ever. Which it was, just not in camp half-blood. That confuses Percy, from what he learned at the camp so far, everyone that has been claimed either has a cabin or just sleeps in Hermeses one. So that is exactly why he asks.
“ Why don't you sleep in Hermes cabin?” The girl straightens her posture, seeming in thought. His friend hugged her from behind around her shoulders. They remind him of an old married couple.
“Well, there are cabins for the twelve Olympians. My dad has no throne on Olympus. He kinda does his own thing down under.”
“ Australia?”
“No Percy, the underworld.” She says though giggles and wiggles herself from the hug. She makes her way forward to Percy and stands in front of him carefully peeling parts of the band-aid.
“ Your dad is Hades?” Hum leaves her as an answer. Focusing on placing the band-aid right above his eyebrow where he scratched himself earlier during training with Luke. When she's done, she turns to a black jar on her table and opens it. To Percy's surprise, she pulls out a lollipop and gives it to him.
“You're good to go fighter, Don't stay here longer than you need to!” She sings and ushers the boy out of the chair and to the door. Percy turns to his friend,
“ Luke, are you not coming?” he asks waiting for him to answer. Luke gives him a look of fake thought, Percy knows it's fake because he, himself used it many times back at the academy. Luke shakes his head and smiles.
“No, I haven't been treated by my nurse yet.” The girl groans and snaps her head to the sky. Percy just shrugs and walks out of the building. As he opens his lollipop, he turns his head back to look at his friends.
He can see Luke being peppered with kisses on his face. When the girl moves he can see a band-aid with hearts that now decorates the scar on his face. Percy just chuckles and moves on, determined to find Grover or Annabeth to tell them what he witnessed. He failed to notice his bright blue bandaid with bubbles on it.

Is there like a full story lore behind dingo sniper?
Yeah lol. I thought of it mostly as more of the jokey “haha freaky dog guy go bite” but then i actually went and looked up some dingo stuff and realized, hey this actually works out in a lot of ways with how i like to characterize sniper. I also looked over wild child cases, so a touch of realism mixed with the fiction here.
Obviously the lore got nice and complicated and deep. Short answer, yep the boy got backstory. Long answer…->
Bio parents:
Sniper has no memory of his original parents and he has no idea how he ended up alone in the outback and neither does anyone else later. He’s like toddler age when this happens. He could be from Australia, he could also still originate from New Zealand but he’ll never get to know. It’s not something he’d really care about though.
The Dingos:
Sniper’s dingo pack consists of two parents and at least two pups. He doesn’t remember how he ended up with them, but he liked living the way he did. Sniper describes the dingos as knowing that he wasn’t a dog like them, but still protective of their strange little pup.
He’s with them until he’s around 8-10 (his age is a guess) when he gets discovered by local bushman. Obviously they take him to return him to his rightful place in human society. Sniper describes them as having stole him. Neither him or the dingos were okay with this, but they never get to see each other again.
The Mundy’s:
Sniper is very aggressive and anxious in the hands of people. He bites A Lot and is unwilling to cooperate with anyone trying to handle him. Eventually he’s fostered by the Mundy’s. The Mundy’s at some point owned domesticated Dingos, before taking up sheep farming, giving them some familiarity in how to handle Sniper’s behavior. They name him Mick.
There is a long agonizing process in getting Mick to act like a person. Mrs Mundy is more lenient in Mick’s more feral behavior, while Mr Mundy is more insistent on him being ‘normal.’ They get him to talk and be less hostile towards them. Mick can’t read or write because of delayed early development and because he doesn’t like doing things that make him be more human. He doesn’t like being a person. He doesn’t like talking. He retains behavioral problems, specifically with biting. Half of it is from being pissed off at his lifestyle change but he’s also prone to anxiety and that’s just how it comes out a lot of times.
Mr Mundy ends up teaching Mick how to shoot a rifle, in some weird attempt to offer a tool besides his teeth. Mick becomes very good a using a gun, he still has a problem with biting. By the time Mick is in his teens Mr Mundy had already been pushing him to involve himself in socially acceptable milestones. Mick doesn’t have any friends and he is incapable of keeping a regular job because of behavioral incidents. He doesn’t need to understand people to know when they’re looking at him like there’s something wrong with him. Mick learns that he does not like driving giant metal monsters that will knock down fence posts if he doesn’t control it correctly.
There’s a part of Sniper that has come to care about the Mundy’s, for looking after him and trying to help him. He feels like a disappointment that he can’t fully commit to a singular human identity, that he can’t be normal despite the work they’ve put into him. Another part of him is still angry that he can’t ever really go back to living like a dingo. He can’t go Home because at this point he’s too human. That and his dingo family are probably dead, they only live like 10 years. Mick is very desperate to find a way to leave the farm and get to exist somewhere by himself as himself.
He hates driving, but he comes around to at least learning the basics (a license is not going to happen) and manages to acquire a camper van. The camper is important, it’s his safe space that he can take wherever he needs to go. And go he does when he’s in his 20s.
Team Fortress:
Sniper takes up low stress hunting/poaching jobs simply for the money required to keep up maintenance on the camper van. He’s aware that he’s probably being taken advantage of in the money department, it’s one of the people concepts he struggles to understand. He thinks it’s that type of struggle that made the administrator interested in him, despite Miss Pauling telling him it’s because he’s such a good shot. She has to read the contract to him and explain it.
Sniper accepts it because he thinks it might be an opportunity to bridge the gap that is his identity crisis. Mercs aren’t normal civilians, but also they’re still human. As hard as it is for Sniper to be comfortable around people, he’s already so alone.
He ends up isolating himself from the team, ending up too anxious to actually interact with them properly outside of work. He doesn’t want to get fired because of another incident. Or worse, because this is a team of men with weapons they know how to use as well as Sniper does his own. He’s not particularly interested in hurting anyone he’s not being paid to harm.
Then Scout decides the weird guy who stays in his camper all the time should really get out and socialize cause it ain’t healthy to be cooped up that long. Scout talks, Sniper is overstimulated from the talking, he bites Scout. Scout freaks and runs off, Sniper freaks and has a fun little panic attack in his camper. He feels bad when he bites out of anxiety.
The rest is just the slow process of Sniper dropping his dingo lore and getting used to what will eventually be his new little pack while everyone else gets used to him being a freaky lil dog guy who likes to bite sometimes.
So like. Hes not a mindless feral creature and he doesn’t like to be looked down on. He doesn’t like losing control of himself. But with people he’s comfortable around, the more comfortable he is in not having to play the ‘pretend he’s human’ game.
I’m still drawing up team interactions so there’s that too.
#dingo sniper#tf2 sniper#I am so sorry that’s so fucking much I know I went off#when I get excited about a concept I get mf EXCITED#u asked I told 😔 I cannot be held accountable for my actions

alright that last ask got heavy so let me drop some irrelevant DFtR lore that exists on a lighter note.
Despite not being able to taste anything, Sun LOVES s'mores because they were always eaten around friends and made the kids smile. He used to "accidentally" burn his marshmallow once or twice just to get a few laughs out of the campers.
Moon and Oscar used to hold prank wars with each other. They started with small, classic tricks (signs on each other's backs, whoopee cushions under seats) but quickly esclated to bigger and messier ordeals. Eventually management caught on and put an end to it, but for a while there they were unstoppable.
Prior to being used for a different purpose, Sun had a habit of stealing players from camp staff and management alike in order to record music onto his casettes, since that was the only way he could reasonably attain music while locked to the campgrounds year round. He had a very extensive collection of tunes at one point.
Moon is an enormous fan of bugs nowadays, but he didn't used to be. Towards the beginning of their creation both he and Sun felt rather squeamish around the little critters (especially considering their cabin wasn't nearly as maintained as it should have been), but after a while Moon, specifically, began to find himself enamored with them. He is especially fond of spiders. Sun himself is still less than enthused about them, but he's learned to ignore them like one might a difficult coworker rather than outright hating them.
Both of them love to sing, but neither is very good at it.

MY BELOVED yes I am aware his antlers do not line up. Counterpoint: he was SO fun to draw regardless. Maybe I'll make lore out of it and make it so he can change the antlers at will! Who knows!
Seven David is my favorite guy ever !!! In short, he was murdered by Cameron when he was just a little kid, but was revived by the massive amalgamation of souls, stuck together in a Hivemind-like entity, of Sleepy Peak — which they creatively named "The Forest" — as their vessel in the physical world. A guardian, one could say. He repressed that entire experience and lived on, catching the eye of one Cameron Campbell (who was, obviously, pretty shocked when he saw the kid he definitely killed just... walk out of the woods like nothing happened) and eventually becoming a camp counselor.
Quartermaster always looked out for him! Even if he wasn't exactly,,, a caretaker kind of person.
He awakened his powers when his campers were in grave danger. And tada! Now he's a Forest Guardian™ and he's the coolest forever (<- Got tired of lore, now I'm just yapping HAHEHRHE)
The double eyes and the funky nose shape is actually there because once he finally connected with the Hivemind, he could bond with Jasper again !!! And now they're together: mentally, psychologically and more-or-less physically as well. I love them!
Oh! Here's another doodle I have of him. The halo? Oh, don't worry about that. :]
Little guy... I love you little guy (<- he can destroy the Earth if he really wants to)
Bonus: COVER THEM UP SLUT /ref

(photographer voice) "okay, now let's do one where canon events play out slightly differently and everyone ends up in a significantly worse place because of it"
here's an au of an au because i have issues watched the genghis khan music video one too many times. lore dump + crops/bonus art below
Due to an unfortunate combination of chance factors, Razputin Aquato arrives at Whispering Rock one day late.
He finds the camp a ghost town. The campers are stumbling around, brainless; the counsellors, nowhere to be found. Ford doesn’t know what to make of this kid showing up out of nowhere – but he’s got promise, and with Sasha and Milla out of action, he’s their best hope. He gives Raz a crash course in what he needs to know, and sends him out across the lake.
Raz pulls through, against all odds. But he never gets the starstruck meeting with his heroes Sasha and Milla that he’d been hoping for; never gets to bond with Lili, or any of the other campers. It’s a harrowing and lonely experience for him, but one that ties a burning knot of resolve in his chest. If he works hard, he can be a Psychonaut just like he dreamed. He can save people.
When the alert comes through from Headquarters that Grand Head Zanotto has been captured, Sasha and Milla scramble the jet with Lili on board. They don’t bring Raz along – Ford’s account of his accomplishments is impressive, but without seeing him in action themselves, neither agent is convinced to bring him along on the mission. Sasha invites him to next year’s session of the camp – after all, he clearly has promise, and the Psychonauts are always interested in nurturing young minds.
Raz returns to camp next year with something to prove. He throws himself into his studies with a single-minded dedication, sparing little time to interact with any of the other campers. This time, he’ll show them. He’ll show them all.
Sasha, Milla and Lili are unable to locate Truman in the Rhombus of Ruin. It ultimately takes a week to locate the Grand Head, following an anonymous tip-off (later found to have been planted by Nick). It takes six months for the ruse to be uncovered. Ultimately, Nick is unsuccessful in finding any clues to Maligula’s whereabouts. Lucrecia will pass a few years later, surrounded by a family that has no idea who she really is. Ford never remembers the truth, and when Razputin is fourteen, he takes the secret to his grave.
Truman’s brain spends almost seven months in a box, under poor conditions with insufficient oxygen. When it’s finally returned to his body, he’s not the same man he used to be. He quietly steps down as Grand Head of the organisation, and spends years of his retirement in intensive therapy.
Lili is heartbroken. Her faith in the Psychonauts is shattered. She never returns to Whispering Rock again. Over the years, she becomes more and more withdrawn; isolated from her peers, estranged from her mother, and struggling with her relationship with a father who on bad days can’t even remember her name. The bitterness grows day by day, blooming within her chest.
She’s sixteen the first time she's forced to turn her powers against another person. Even in his current state, her father has enemies – old foes the Psychonauts can’t (or won’t) protect him from. There’s a raid on her house, late at night. It’s only by chance that she’s still awake. She breaks two of the assailants’ bodies, and when she twists her hand, the plants in her father's greenhouse writhe under her command and rip the third one to pieces. It’s the last time that house ever feels like a home to her. She cuts ties with the Psychonauts entirely, and never looks back; the next time they hear of her, it's under a completely different name.
Dogen Boole never returns to Whispering Rock either. He’s thoroughly traumatized by the events at camp, and his parents refuse to send him back the following year. With nobody to help him learn to control or harness his powers, his episodes steadily become worse as he gets older. Although reluctant, his family is eventually forced to reach out to the Psychonauts to help. Compton is still a nervous recluse, and nobody else in the organisation is quite sure how to handle Dogen’s powers. He spends his teenage years in and out of psychoisolation, and is subjected to more and more intense experimentation in the name of “treatment”. Nothing works. In the end, all he has to show for it are the scars.
His helmet is the only thing he can rely on to stop him mulching the cranium of anyone in a fifty-foot radius. There’s no place for him in “normal” society. Just like Lili, he’s driven to become a villain by a combination of circumstances, trauma, and a bitter feeling of hurt and betrayal towards the Psychonauts.
Raz enters the intern program at thirteen, and quickly graduates to the rank of Junior Agent. The Psychonauts he finds waiting for him is undergoing a marked transition from the organization it used to be. Upon Ford’s passing, the only member of the old guard still around is Otto. Hollis is a Grand Head forced to prioritize efficiency in order to keep the Psychonauts afloat after numerous losses and funding cuts.
Raz enters a passionate, determined boy, remarkably talented but who struggles to connect with his peers. When he gets his promotion at eighteen, he’s the most decorated junior agent the organization has ever seen. At twenty-six, he’s in the prime of his career, honed by years of training into an efficient, meticulous, ruthless Psychonaut.
He’s the perfect agent. As far as he’s concerned, that’s all he needs to be.
under-the-cut bonus, here's some tighter crops on the art, and also a couple extra bits and pieces:
dogen's helmet seals up like a pillbug most of the time, to stop his powers from leaking out when he gets stressed. i couldn't find a way to work it into the art while still making clear that Hey It's Ya Boy, but i think it's a neat visual. the extra pic of lili was gonna be a mugshot - at first i was planning to composit her art into, like, a dossier/file, but i couldn't make it work in the end
#in this one everyone is sad and angsty. please clap#psychonauts#we're maintagging this one because i want everyone to see my edgy takes on these guys#future superstar agents au#BUT ALSO NOT#in my head i've been calling this one#villains au#which isn't very catchy but it works#i don't know if i'll ever actually do much with this one but i've been kicking ideas in my head about for ages#so i thought i should make a proper post about it#smoking /

Now that you've read PJO: would you say that your perception of Annabeth and Percy has changed? I remember you had some dislike to her character before you started reading the book and I was wondering if that was still tha same thing and how you likened Percy with Harry as protagonists
Hi anon! That's a good question! I was planning on drafting up a post relating to this :)
Let me start with Annabeth. I entered PJO fandom not really knowing who she was and then disliking her because of Percabeth. I honestly don't even remember where my initial dislike came from. Oh, I think a lot of my initial PJO tumblr posts were anti Percabeth so that coloured how I saw her. Outside of Percabeth, I did not care about her nor did I have any desire to learn more about her. But I tend to be more invested/obsessed with male characters over female ones, so that wasn't Annabeth's fault. After reading sections of the books, I still don't care about her but I have more appreciation for Annabeth as a quest partner and her relationship with Thalia and Luke. I also don't like her personality. There are cute Percabeth moments I enjoy, like Percy comforting Annabeth after the sirene scene and the times when Annabeth saves Percy's life. But I still can't enjoy this ship or fanfics with it.
My perception of Percy has changed radically. Even before getting into the books, Percy's character was starting to irk me but I did not fully understand the full extent of this feeling until I read the books. I still like Percy but I am honestly kind of tired of him and I don't enjoy Percy-centric fanfictions the way I used to.
I have compared Percy and Harry but I do realize their stories are different so it's not totally fair to compare them. But I will use Harry to highlight some things about Percy that I don't like after reading a little bit of the books:
Percy is too OP. And not in a satisfying way. I know Percy is a big three kid so he is meant to be more powerful. Nico is pretty powerful too. But Percy does extreme things with little explanation. It would be satisfying if Percy was on a path to godhood or something. But Percy being a common joe after defeating a primordial goddess in her own domain is total garbage. I didn't mind seeing this in fanfiction but actually seeing it in canon is tiring. Harry is powerful too but not to the extent where it feels like Harry is leaving his peers in the dust.
Percy's connection to his antagonists is weak. Harry has a deep connection with Voldy, Draco and Snape to varying degrees. Plus, he has interesting interactions with other death eaters like Lucius and Bellatrix. Percy's connection to Luke and Kronos is weak as hell by comparison. Percy basically has no interaction with the titan army, especially the demigods. Through Harry's POV, we come to understand Voldy's character and motivations, his evolution of how he perceives Draco and Snape, and we understand the dynamics of the death eaters. Kronos is a one dimensional bad guy and the bond between Luke and Percy before the betrayal was not all that deep anyway.
Percy's relationship with minor characters is lacking so the true tragedy of the conflict is lost. Percy does not know a lot of campers. So when they defect or die, the weight of the affair is lost in Percy's POV. The deaths in PJO can't be compared to the deaths in Harry Potter.
I am not a Harry Potter fan, but I am not sure if I prefer Percy as a protag over Harry anymore. I think JKR is a better writer than Rick and her characters are better written, including her minor characters. Plus, the lore is way more fascinating in HP. Rick is just copying mythology and bastardizing it with his OC. I need more time to understand where I stand with Harry and Percy.

*Imagine there's an anon ask from roughly a year ago here asking me to share "what campers I thought become Psychonauts/what each of them end up getting up to when they're older" here. Imagine it cuz it got deleted randomly. T_T
BACK ON MY PSYCHONAUTS KICK THAT MEANS ITS TIME TO ANSWER YEARS OLD ANON ASKS LET'S GO!!! I have better story ideas for some more than others here...but if you're curious abt what I've written abt any of them, I encourage you to pry, that way I can think abt it harder and develop them further :]
Putting them under the cut, cuz breaking them down will be Long.
Let me preempt this section with this thought: every former camper of Whispering Rock ( save for maybe a few bad eggs ) is offered a job to work for the Psychonauts agency once they're of employment age. That's what you get for going to Secret Government Agency Summer Camp as a kid. You get weird letters in the mail for life. But hey, nice job, maybe?? In addition to this, particularly talented campers with high psychic aptitude and teamwork skills are offered a shot at the Intern Program at the Motherlobe.
Razputin becomes the superstar agent he always dreamed of becoming. He would pick it anyways, but at this point it's almost like he wouldn't have a say, with the way that the organization has sort of relied on him since he was 10 years old. I think he learns the hard way how much doing field work, like actual danger situations not just inside someone's mind, can take a toll on you quickly. Eventually he ends up taking a break, a "sort of running away from it all" type hiatus from agent work to go back and work with his family's circus again. No matter what happens, he always ends up going back and forth between these two things. Completed the intern program and specializes in Clairvoyance (much to his dismay) and favors Blastokinesis in the field.
Lili ends up in a situation similar to Raz, what with being very tied up with the organization from a really young age (even younger for her). But she gets the bonus points of stress of "being a Zanotto working for the Psychonauts means you'll probably end up in some big important role someday...doesn't it?" I'd argue that Lili would fall into the realm of trying to keep her image spotless and becoming a real precision agent, getting really good in high-stakes crisis situations. Was an intern for longer than anybody else, and specializes in both Herbaphony and Pyrokinesis.
Dogen is a training field agent for a while but has a bad accident and basically goes into hiding... He goes through a really similar thing to Compton, but he isolates himself so much that he really starts to scare other people. He starts to search for a way to make himself "un-psychic" and this gets him accidentally involved with some dangerous forces who are looking for an 'in' to mess with the Psychonauts. He struggled his way through the intern program as a teen and maybe sort of didn't really graduate it. Obviously Blastokinesis is his speciality, but in the field he did his best to repress that entirely and was a Mental Shield assisting agent.
Bobby goes through a whole arc of recovery and finding out his family lore. It's worth mentioning that I hc Loboto to be his father, and he lived with his grandparents growing up, and eventually got kicked out of that house. With nowhere to go, the Psychonauts as an organization pretty much ended up raising him. It takes a whole psychic village to raise a horrible little child. He still can be a jerk but he's a good guy now... Did the intern program, begrudgingly, because he "had nothing better to do". Specializes in Blastokinesis and Pyrokinesis.
Crystal gets her life turned around with the help of psychic outreach programs in her young teen years. She was taken on as an agent for a while, but finds her passions lie with helping others. She ends up working at Psychoisolation, helping active agents to recover from the things they've seen. Does most of her work inside the minds of other psychics. Specializes in Mental Connection.
Kitty becomes the big breakout "spotlight" agent that everyone has heard about, even being well known in nonpsychic circles. She has a full blown Hollywood celebrity vibe, despite the fact that none of her coworkers act that way and (most) at the agency don't view her that way. She's still a messy person. She's very hot and cold, wishy-washy, does whatever she wants. Has a complex relationship with Razputin, and consequently, Lili too. Maintains a mostly unrequited facade of an "Agent Rivalry" between her and Elka Doom. Completed the intern program with flying colors. Specializes in Hypnosis/Confusion and Electrokinesis.
Elka becomes an agent. She's always on the verge of about six different breakdowns. She keeps her image mostly clean and mysterious to the outside observer. Despite living her life waiting for impending disaster she still tries to stay on the side of good. She becomes an iconic "write about her in the comics" agent with a difficult relationship to her psychic powers... Completed the intern program at a young age. Specializes in Precognition.
Vernon works under Adam Joseph Gette as Psychic historians for the agency for a while as part of his internship. Eventually he decides to branch out, getting really into photography and field research. He becomes fascinated with the Rhombus of Ruin and its tales of disappearance and mystery. He gets approved for a reconnaissance mission there with Elton Fir (and Benny Fideleo too...kinda.) Completed the intern program. Isn’t a regular field agent but works at the Motherlobe. Specializes in Astral Projection.
Elton never lets go of his sailor aesthetic, but he kind of has no choice, because Hydrokinesis and Zoolingualism (namely with fish) are his specialty. He still harbors feelings for Milka, despite things becoming...really complicated. Recently he's been working with his buddy Vernon in the depths of the Rhombus of Ruin, trying to uncover the mystery of the Psilirium there. He was never in the intern program, he worked in a shipyard until being offered a job from the Psychonauts. Being their marine mission specialist has really boosted his confidence.
Benny really thought his job working for the Psychonauts would be cooler. But he isn’t allowed to work in the field because he can’t get over his *ahem* panic reactions to danger. He failed every test he was given. He’s just a chicken. So much to his dismay, he has to stay back at base. Behind a desk. Watching blips on a screen in the Nerve Center. Blahhh. There aren’t a lot of transmissions to come back from the dead radio zone of the Rhombus, but when they come through?? He’ll be ready. Flunked out of the intern program. Doesn’t get to use his psychic powers much, except using TK to mess with people when he’s bored.
Mikhail ditched Maloof. And he was probably the only one to ever do that and live to tell the tale. Went back home for a while, but came back and did the intern program when he was a little older. Specializes in Telekinesis but now has a special Zoolingualism tie to bears. He's a good guy agent, sure. But he absolutely will Sic The Bears On You.
Franke never grew out of her “yes-man” tendencies. In fact, it could be said that she leaned into them tenfold. She has taken it upon herself to work as an “assistant” to the superstar agents, doing physical, emotional, and my god janitorial duties for them. She focuses mainly on Kitty and Elka, but she’ll suck up to anyone. Lili wishes she would hit the bricks. Franke doesn’t use her powers often on account of having something Ford dubbed “psitanium sickness” flareups on the regular. Basically, her brain accumulates a lot of psitanium, but for whatever reason, she doesn’t have the firepower to dish it back out as psychic energy. So it builds up in her head. Gives her freaky purple eyes. So routinely, agents will go into her brain to farm psitanium. And she loves it.
Clem, after drifting apart from Crystal, kind of just fell to pieces. Home life was not good, so the job offer from the Psychonauts was refreshing. But what is Clem’s job exactly?? Does anybody know? Does moping ominously in the Quarry and making everyone really anxious count as a job? Does talking to a very very old woman in the Gulch about having an identity crisis count as a career? Who’s to say! “Specializes” in Mental Projection.
J.T. becomes the new groundskeeper at Whispering Rock. Never was in the intern program, was offered an office job. Worked it for all of 2 months before he felt crazy. You can’t put this cowboy indoors. He’s a much better groundskeeper than Ford was. He actually prioritizes keeping the kids safe, and they all love him. Hangs out with Mikhail every now and then when he comes to help tame psychic forest animals, and the two get very nostalgic about their summer camp days. Specializes in Levitation.
Maloof becomes a psychic crime boss. Obviously. His mother has a lot of sway over what he does. He has a serious man-child thing going on, so he doesn’t act a whole lot differently than he did as a little kid. Which only makes him more freaky. He holds a lot of grudges against the people who feared and doubted him as a child. Specializes in Mental Projection.
Milka’s bouts of invisibility got worse as her home life soured even more. As a teenager, she tried to join the intern program and better herself, but she developed a real problem with running away from things that were good for her. She dated Elton again as a teen, but ran away from him. She ran away from the Psychonauts as a whole. Simply disappearing into the wind, extremely hard to track. Everyone worries about her. Nobody knows exactly where she is. Some are convinced she actually disappeared somewhere and didn’t just go invisible, as nobody can even track her mental footprint anymore... Specializes in Invisibility.
Chloe is doing her own thing. There are a number of agents who were given the task of “keeping an eye on Chloe Barge” to make sure she doesn’t become some sort of large scale threat or something. But nobody ever really knows what she’s up to. It’s probably got something to do with aliens. And psychic activity. But what the heck is it?? Never joined the intern program, but visited the Motherlobe a couple of times as a teen to use the psychoisolation facilities. Specializes in Photokinesis.
Chops drifted away from the whole psychic scene and got into homeopathic medicine. Keeps his powers on the down-low, and uses them behind people’s backs. Maybe a little shady for blending his light psychic knowledge with plant knowledge and branding it as ‘medicine’, but he means well. There just isn’t a lot of interest in psychics from the Canadian government, so he’s leaving it alone for now.
Phoebe is still working on her music career, and has become a relatively successful indie rock star. Quentin never was taking it seriously enough for her, so they moved on. She was offered a lot of gigs from Morris, but is trying to make it “in the regular world” and declined most of them. She struggles to keep her Pyrokinesis in check still, and it heightens her anxiety on the road, only making it more likely for flareups to happen. Her band members know that she’s psychic, but she doesn’t want to tell anyone else. She calls Lili a lot and she helps Phoebe learn to control her Pyro.
Quentin is running a little farm in Green Needle Gulch. His produce and *ahem* herbs are loved by all sorts of Psychic clientele. He really isn’t interested in any of the agent stuff, or paperwork stuff, he’s just kinda...zooted, idk. Just chilling, and a lot of the more uptight government types in the organization cannot stand that he’s allowed to hang around the gulch.
Nils went to prison on multiple accounts of stalking. He’s still in there. I don’t think anyone misses him, but I’m sure there’s a few people who worry about him getting out. Sort of a looming “it’s only a matter of time before he breaks out and becomes a huge threat” villain. Specializes in Cryokinesis.

"So get this… something weird's going on in Black Water Ridge."
═════
Pairing: Sam Winchester x She/Her Reader
Tone: Fluffy romance, sweet intimacy, hunter x hunter, Young!Sam, Cuddly!Sam, Nerdy!Y/N
Rating: T (Canon-typical Supernatural discussion, light intimacy, cuddling, implied intimacy)
Written by: Little Devil ♡
Word Count: ~6,600 words
Based on: Supernatural Seasons 1–2, Non-specific episode
═════
Synopsis: The case was nothing flashy—just some strange disappearances in an Oregon forest town—but it was enough to pull the trio into another dusty library, another empty diner, another late night poring over old records. For Y/N, it's just another day in the life of a hunter. For Sam, it's the first time someone’s been this close since Jessica. And it's terrifying. But when late-night investigation turns into stolen glances and nerdy jokes, he starts to realize: maybe this new chapter doesn’t have to mean forgetting the last. Especially when Y/N starts quoting him back to himself.
═════
Scene One: Small Town Shadows
The town was called Maple Hollow. Population: barely a thousand. Enough to have a single diner, a run-down library, and—most importantly—a suspicious uptick in missing persons and two campers gone off the grid.
The Impala rumbled to a stop outside the local sheriff's station, its engine groaning like it too was tired of the chase. Dean threw it into park, stretched like a cat, and glanced back at Sam and Y/N.
“Alright, Sammy, Y/N, you two charm the local law. I’ll hit up the morgue, see if anyone’s got claw marks and a half-eaten spleen.”
“Charming,” Y/N said dryly, hopping out. The air was pine-sweet and damp. Fall pressed in close here—everything smelled of leaves, wet bark, and chimney smoke.
Inside, Sam worked his soft smile like a scalpel, clean and precise. Y/N trailed him, flipping her FBI badge with a casual air. The sheriff, mid-40s and shaped like a fire hydrant, barely looked up from his paperwork.
"Can I help you?" he asked, voice heavy with disinterest.
“We’re investigating the recent disappearances," Sam said, glancing at the file on the sheriff's desk. "Two campers went missing around Black Water Ridge, right?"
The sheriff leaned back in his chair, sighing. “Yeah. It’s a damn mess, but I can’t make sense of it. People around here... they like to talk. All kinds of stories float around, but there’s nothing concrete. Just missing persons and a few odd reports from hikers.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “What kind of reports?”
“People claim they heard strange noises, saw weird shapes in the trees, but no one’s found anything that makes sense. Not yet, anyway. We’re still looking into it.”
“Any clues on where they were last seen?” Sam asked, flipping through the sheriff’s file.
“Black Water Ridge. That’s where the last two disappeared,” the sheriff muttered. “Not the first time people have gone off the grid around there, but this one’s a little different.”
Y/N exchanged a glance with Sam, both of them trying to read between the lines.
“We’ll keep an ear to the ground,” Sam said, offering the sheriff a polite smile before they made their way out the door.
Scene Two: Lore and Lightning Bugs
That night, they holed up in a dusty motor lodge with carpet that crunched underfoot and a TV older than God. Dean was snoring by ten, boots on, mouth open. Sam and Y/N had taken the table by the window, lore books and local legends strewn across it like a storm blew through a library.
Sam leaned over a worn book of regional myths, his long fingers tapping idly. Y/N had a notebook open, scribbling notes in between sips of lukewarm coffee.
“Alright,” she said suddenly, snapping the silence. “So, get this—”
Sam looked up, blinking.
Dean, half-asleep on the bed, cracked one eye open and barked a laugh. “Careful, Sammy, she’s stealin’ your catchphrase.”
Y/N paused, then smirked. “What? It’s efficient.”
Sam flushed a little, ears pink. He smiled down at his book, the corners of his mouth tugging in that quiet way of his. Something warm bloomed in his chest.
She was picking up his habits. Quoting him back like muscle memory. The thought was absurdly endearing.
“You were saying?” he asked, voice softer than necessary.
Y/N glanced back down at her notes. “So, I think we’re looking at a Leshy. A Slavic forest guardian. Mischievous, territorial, and… pretty damn possessive of its woods.”
“That would explain the missing people. And the strange reports. People are drawn into the woods when they’re overhunted. The Leshy tends to keep to itself, but it doesn’t like being disturbed.”
Sam leaned closer to see her notes, and their shoulders brushed. She didn’t pull away. Neither did he.
Scene Three: Sparks and Salt Circles
They found the Leshy's lair just past a crumbling ranger outpost, vines overtaking the trail and claw marks scratched into tree bark like warnings. The air was colder here—charged, like lightning about to strike.
Dean laid salt and iron traps with practiced efficiency, circling the clearing’s edge. Sam and Y/N prepped the charges—aconite-laced silver blades, smudged with old Latin rites.
When the Leshy appeared, it wasn’t gradual. It dropped from the canopy with a sound like cracking wood, its massive limbs sheathed in bark and moss. Its eyes glowed like hot coals.
“Move!” Sam shouted, as it lunged.
Dean rolled forward and slashed upward, his blade barely nicking the creature’s thigh. It screeched—high, dry, furious. Y/N ducked behind a fallen log, breath short, and flung one of the silver blades. It embedded in its chest—only to be yanked out with a roar.
Sam got in close, drawing its attention, while Dean looped behind. Y/N used the distraction to scrawl a quick banishment sigil onto a stone. The creature knocked Sam back into a tree—but he recovered fast, grabbing another blade, this time slicing clean across its arm. Sap bled like venom.
Dean delivered the final blow: a two-handed thrust to the creature’s sternum, right where Y/N had aimed before. The Leshy staggered, convulsed, and crumbled into dust and bark.
They stood panting in the sudden silence, the scent of crushed pine needles heavy in the air.
Scene Four: Tangled Hearts
Back at the motel, Dean muttered something about celebratory pie and promptly fell asleep in the second bed, boots still on. Sam was quiet, sitting at the edge of his own bed, running a thumb over a scratch on his arm.
Y/N emerged from the bathroom, her shoulder wrapped, her hair still damp. She climbed onto the bed beside him, slow and easy.
“You good?” she asked.
He nodded. Then shook his head. “I just—sometimes I think about how easy it would be to lose someone again.”
Y/N didn’t flinch. She reached out, rested a hand over his.
“You’re not losing me. Not without a hell of a fight.”
He looked at her then, really looked. Like the weight of that truth was still settling into his bones.
She smiled. “Also, if I start saying ‘friggin’ all the time, call me out.”
He laughed. A real one. “Deal.”
They slipped under the covers, limbs tentative but warm. Sam's arm found its way around her waist, and she tucked her head beneath his chin. They didn’t say anything else.
Just the hush of night, the thrum of distant cars, and the way Sam held her like he finally believed the world might let him keep something good.

Gem lore maybe? /nf
Is there a reason why exactly she feels weird when she goes near Camp Empires?
Sigh, fine. I guess you get a little ramble. /lh
Demigod!Gem (legacy of Vulcan, child of Trivia) was previously an old camper from ESMP but died during a quest in preparation for the attack on Xornoth.
In Hecate's selfishness, and due to her worry of losing more children after the Second Titan War, she asked Persephone to steal her daughter's soul away so she wouldn't have to watch Gem wander Asphodel aimlessly. Hecate forced an early reincarnation on DG!Gem's soul by forcing the soul into a mortal child, into a life where she's safer and happier.
Mortal Gem became a vessel for a life she had not even lived before she even fully lived one for herself. She had to dream of memories of the past alongside memories of the future.
Hecate got especially annoyed when Apollo took M!Gem in as the oracle, who now has to deal with three souls in her body, with one having already fused itself to her original soul.
If the Empires members were to see Gem, they'd faintly remember an old friend.
If fWhip were to see Gem, he'd remember the child of Hecate that he boasted to about having a cousin that looked almost like her.
Either way, they move on. As long as it's not hurting.

Congrats Chloe!!!!
For your event, could I get camp counselor Tomura?
And thank you for doing these, it's such a cute idea!
Thanks Jadeee I hope you know after writing this camp counselor Tomura shall live in my head for eternity and it’s ur fault 😭🙏
✦••······················••✦•······················•✦••······················••✦
he’d be the one telling the best scary stories
and all the campers sort of flock around him
hes just a chill little guy and they all know it
And maybe this was just a random experience but if anyone has ever had a camp councilor drop the craziest lore in conversation
thats him
“Im just glad they got all the dried up blood off the floor in cabin three… wait they did clean that up right?”
“sir why would there be blood in cabin three?!”
*shrugs and walks away*
(real experience but anyways)
he’s always telling campers to wear sunblock
like, bossing them around
meanwhile he’s getting crispier and crispier by the minute
his tan lines are killer, but he’s also more burnt than Dabi at the moment
one last thing
i think he just carries around a whistle or like an air horn that he like blares at campers misbehaving
imagine getting jumpscared by sunburnt Tomura with an air horn cause u tripped your friend
He likes watching ppl freak out, but it’s mainly bc he doesn’t like yelling
once again he’s a chill lil guy

Ever think about the similarities between the children of Hephaestus and Apollo?
I bet they both appreciate talent.
Hephaestus being the god of craftsmanship and Apollo being the god of art..
They probably both have a strong sense of admiration for handmade things like machines or art.
I also think the children of Apollo and Hephaestus will not be able to stand being in a place that’s too cold.
Hephaestus being the god of fire and Apollo being the god of light and sun, I think their children have a tendency to prefer being in hot environments such as living in southern states of the US or living in latin America. Which would explain why most of the Hephaestus Cabin is made out of dark skin campers. Because they’re from regions where people have darker skin meaning stronger sun.
And the same is true for the Apollo cabin one out of three of them has darker skin meaning stronger sun.
Will a Son of Apollo travels with a flashlight meant for reptiles because if he’s going somewhere too cold during a quest, he needs to that thing on his face or else he’ll get sick.
Both Leo and Will were born in Texas.
Strong sun, strong heat they both need that
I feel like both of these teenagers would be smart, however in very different ways so they come off as stupid to each other despite being very similar.
For example, children of Hephaestus aren’t very social creatures. As Hephaestus once said “ I am not good with organic life.” And sometimes he passes on that trait of being antisocial and “autistic” As some fans say to his kids.
So because of this, I don’t think they spend a lot of time reading books or watching movies or listening to music. I think Leo does spend a lot of time listening to music, specifically Leo, but not most of the campers in general from his cabin.
What I mean by listening to music, I mean if they listen to music, they don’t really care about the inspiration of the song the meaning of the song or whatever social drama is happening with the singer of that song they’re just listening to the song as a background music or because they genuinely liked the song and not caring about the lore.
The Hephaestus kids are good with weaponry machinery obviously but also most sciences they struggle a little bit with biology but physics chemistry. They’re good at that. Mathematics is their strongest suit. They are very good at math.
Meanwhile, there are children of Apollo and the only reason they’d be good at math is if they’re one of the medicine children of Apollo, who are good in biology, therefore are good at taking measurements for dosage and other biological or body math required for health.
Children of Apollo are more intelligent in the form of understanding history cause history is just a story. They’re very perceptive of the actual Greek mythology and they know a lot of literature. They are cultured. They know various forms of music, obviously poetic. Having a conversation with them is most always going to be a very deep conversation. They will elaborate on all of their points. They are very social. They are very artistically intelligent they are not good at math or science, unless they are one of those medic Apollo such as math and science, but only in biology
Another strong contrast between them is that Hephaestus is canonically seen as the least attractive God while Apollo is seen as the most attractive God, the most beautiful God that is not including Aphrodite, who is a goddess, but Apollo being a god is the most attractive male God.
And as we see in Leo, canonically an insecure guy who already feels unattractive when he finds out about this that his dad is seen as the least attractive God it makes him feel even more insecure about his appearance.
I believe it’s a fair assumption that a lot of children of Hephaestus have a similar reaction if they’re already insecure or maybe that brings some sense of insecurity to learn that fact.
Meanwhile, knowing that your dad is one of the most beautiful gods, And you and your sibling are very beautiful and like the sun just catches your eyes every time you go outside and you just look like you're glowing and that you’re beautiful. I am sure a lot of children of Apollo have a strong sense of confidence when it comes to their appearance and their body.
And then there’s the fact that children of Apollo are more likely to strongly appreciate being the center of attention. Because artists and athletes love being the center of attention.
There’s a TikTok I saw, which is “ What is one thing that all of the children of Apollo have in common? They live for the applause.” I don’t remember the TikTok. It’s been years since I saw it so I can’t give credit to the original poster, but they were doing cosplay as Will. It was super cute. (if anyone knows what I am talking about and they found the OP’s username please comment it so I can give credit.)
And I think that is extremely true, Apollo loves attention. Apollo loves being loved, so I think his children might share this quality as well. Children of Apollo seem to be extroverted.
Well, most children of Hephaestus can be considered introverted because they spend most of their time inside working on their projects, then outside socializing, and whenever they do work on something, they don’t usually make a big deal out of it like Leo Valdez made the Argo II in the span of nine months as a 15 year old, he made a flying boat and he doesn’t brag about it.
Of course you could argue that Leo as an individual doesn’t apply to this rule because he is constantly making jokes and wanting attention but chasing attention and being the center of attention are two different things. Leo chases attention because he’s never had a stable social circle: family and friend, so he wants that and he craves that attention to himself is a way to do that when attention is completely on him since he’s so not used to it. It makes him self-conscious and it makes him extremely uncomfortable as we saw in Mark of Athena, the first time Hazel met him. She paid attention to his physical appearance, and that made Leo wildly uncomfortable.

PERCY JACKSON OC!!
(@jadetheblueartist @indianampasta)
This is Trinna!!! (Thanks for the name Jade!!) She is a 15yr daughter of Hermes ;)
Little bit a ramble full of info:
-came to camp at three years old because her wings were hard to hide (she was born with them dont ask why or how)
-does own a camp neckless with 12 beads but doesn’t like the attention when she wears it
-the only person she is really comfortable around his her good ol bro Luke
-she has her own little personalized corner in cabin 11
-she HATES her wings most of the time. They react with her emotions (like a dogs tail wagging), bring a lot of attention to her, are a target for bullying, and they just get in the way. Especially when she is training.
-she feels things very deeply but she tries HARD not to show it.
-gets very annoyed/angry pretty often
-The only thing she really uses her wings is for is a shield. If her wing can take the hit, sure it’ll hurt a ton, but it’s better than getting hit in the arm so that you can’t fight, or your leg so you can’t run.
-she used to have rlly long hair but she cut it (she really really loves the new cut though) (also there’s a tad bit of lore here but idk how to word it lol)
-a lot of people think she’s a counselor (she looks older than 15 [doesn’t help when she wears her neckless bc it seems bizarre for camper to have gone that many years]) and it really bugged her before she started playing along with it.
-talks pretty deadpan
-Her father gives her a magic hat, once she’s older, that allows her to disguise herself (this allows her to go home at the end of camp)
-has an electric guitar and plays/listens to rock
-I could prob write another post for this one but to summarize her home life: it is awkward. Her mom is a complete stranger to her. School is rough.
-She will always stand up or take a punch for her half siblings, even if she hasn’t particularly talked to them much. This also goes for close friends but she doesn’t really have many (if any) of those
-I have a vague idea that she sends letters to Hermes. Not like, super formal/what is expected when addressing a Greek god kind of letters, but just like a piece of paper with “wassup” written on it. She doesn’t ever expect a reply it’s more of just something she does when she’s bored. But she has gotten a few replies written in a similar manner.
-really good at just… disappearing. If she doesn’t want to do an activity she will either plainly refuse or just hide and do her own thing.
-really enjoys sword fighting
-knows how to leave camp without being noticed
Soooooo yeah this is pretty looooooong…….. I could say more (maybe) but I’ll be done for now!

So you wanna join Camp Tara?
A hopefully helpful guide by Oleander on how to join our wacky and weird little family
1. First things first, the most important aspect of your character shall be their name. And I'm not referring to their legal name here but instead their Alias. In our mythology, your name holds power and those who know it can use it to harm or control you.
Thus, we develop special codenames. That is your alias! An alias can be chosen by yourself, or gifted to you by a trusted friend, mentor or even an enemy. An alias must reflect you, in some way. This is what allows it to shield your name and protect you. For example, The counselor Eithne is named red for their startlingly red eyes, and was given this name by The Morrigan herself, while an example for someone named for their personality instead would be the Clíodhna Camper Sprite [ @sprite-drinking-calista ]; named by Dandelion for their Bubbly and mischievous nature.
The rules for your alias are simple;
1. It will only protect you if you do not give away your legal[or chosen] name.
1A. Whilst inside Camp - or online- your name cannot be stolen and is thus safe to use.
2. Your Alias may not be a part of your name, though it can allude to it.
3. Whilst not a rule, we advise that you do use a shorter name rather than something like...Lord Gold of the ivory realm. ( not...that this would work as an alias)
2. With your Alias worked out, I suppose you would maybe want to consider what exactly you are?
Of course, perhaps you're simply a demigod. Nothing wrong with that! We do reccomend this for you if you're overwhelmed with all the different options. As a demigod you only need to concern yourself with the powers of your chosen cabin.
However, if you're interested in having an additional species beyond just being a demigod then we have our species masterpost where we define your options and what they can do;
In lore, the offspring of Our Gods and Faeries/Other beings on the list are considers as Full fairies due to the nature of godly DNA.
Here is our Species Masterpost:
3. Well, if you're attending Camp Tara then you should probabaly figure out your parent, yeah?
Now this part is super subjective. We can't tell you who you should pick, but we are willing to help you pick one if you send us an ask with your likes, dislikes , who your character is etc etc.
However, you can also read our powerlists to get an idea of what your godly parent would let you do if you were to join a particular cabin. To learn more about any options simply send in an ask for them!
4. Choosing your weapon
This is pretty simple! Most characters come to camp with at least one weapon made from our godly metal; Cold iron. Which you can learn more about here
5. Do I have a camp hlafblood equivalent uniform or necklace?
Yes! Our shirts are dark green , and instead of a necklace, we have a celtic knot bracelet woven from leather every year you survive, a new knot is woven into it. Special events, quests and...incidents are commemorated with special charms gifted to you by the camp, the gods or even a friend.
For example, if you're involved in an event where you save a faeries honey festival you may get a bee charm for your bracelet.
6. How do you get involved?
Simple! Send in asks or reblog the main blog, or your fellow campers. The same way you get involved in most PJO roleplay spaces, we are built on interaction. Occasionally we host interactive quests called "incidents" we have an overarching incident that's been occurring in the background, but our complete short evens were the kelpie incident ( Interactive but only as spectators) and the cait sith incident ( solved by three campers!)
If you're ever confused on anything we are super super happy to help you!

F&Q
1. I want to go to Camp Tara but I don't want to make an Irish/Scottish demigod, what can I do?
A. You can join Cabin 15! The wild hunt, a band of immortal hunters who have their new recruits train at camp for at least 100, to ensure they're ready for the danger. They recruit mortals, demigods, monsters, beasts and the fae. So you could be a recent Greek demigod who joined them!
2. I want to interact but I'm not a Tara camper, can I still interact?
A. Of course! We're happy to have you!
3. My cabin doesn't have a counselor, can I be the counselor?
A. While we appreciate the thought and your desire to help, currently we aren't accepting staff applications
4. I'd like to play the child of a god/ be species that isn't listed, what do I do?
A. If you send in an ask, the staff will see if we feel the inclusion is possibile! If we can't find a good source for information/the god belongs on Camp camelot instead / isn't irish/Scottish then we will direct you to the best place we can
5. I don't have discord, can I still make a character?
A. Of course! The blog and the discord are meant to compliment each other, but you don't need both to enjoy it! If you only have tumblr then you'll be able to fully interact on tumblr
6. How do I keep track of everyone?
A. We have a masterlist! It tags all of our campers , and even keeps track of NPCs who are mentioned but don't have accounts! You can find it here!
7. How do I keep up with the lore?
A. We use #camp tara lore for all our backstory information!

my chnt swap AU will now be called
camp this and that
idea originally provided by @fall3nash2339
all info about characters+ art links under cut😋😋!!
(NEWWER DESIGNS WILL COME SOON, ALL OF THESE ARE FROM A SLIGHTLY OUTDATED STYLE)
Edit: erm. All of this is so outdated cause I half abandoned it, it still spins around my cranium once a blue moon though
all the characters have the same physical appearance (except for sydney), personalities and roles are changed
the nurses~
head nurse: Elijah Volkov, he makes all the announcements, and is mentally decaying. Boy oh boy, is he quite the man. Silly little bpd man, collected mental illness like Pokémon. But he's caring, and will do just about anything in his power to help the campers out when needed. He has a knack for elephants, likes sharing fun facts, not only about elephants but anything and everything. No filter😋 if he's thinking it, he'll say it, obviously nothing bad will come of that. Trust issues, yummy.
assistant nurse: Adam Uptin, always carrying snacks with him, he can get you to share how your parents wronged you then shove a bag of skittles in your hand and walk away. Adam isn't a fan of leaving the nurses cabin, let alone his side office, something about being a vampire and ""ahhhh the suns"",,etc etc. Although, you can lore him outside with some sunscreen, an umbrella, and an apple.
camp counselors (all camps stay the same)
Cabin Dung Beetle: Juniper Sloan. long neck, dirty blonde. British man, he's scared of the water (blah blah blah "i'm experiencing the past, present, and future all at once and i can't breathe." yadda yadda yadda) besides the meltdowns and break downs, he's pretty silly
Cabin Grasshopper : Marisol Yuchengco, 👁️dresses in gothic attire, but she's one of the most understating counselors you'll ever meet. Salem de La Marnierre, 👁️scene kid vibes, lowkey really chill though. The two are dating<3 (basically just the same as chnt, just,,, ya'know,, swapped.)
Cabin Magpie Moth: Rowan Chow, the goofiest mother fucker in the entire camp. He can actually produce sound effects, he doesnt choose them or when they happen, that's up to the universe, they just come from his general area. This man runs off of actual cartoon logic, dont question it.<3
Cabin Silkworm: Yvonne Marley, femcel. That is truly all i have to say about her. She pull's misinformation straight from the internet and spreads it like mold on moist bread. Joshua MacHeath, tictok eboy, he can make a killer flower necklace though. Joshua will sit with the kids who can't/won't participate in certain camp activities and teach them how to make bracelets out of, well, anything and everything!
Cabin Tarantula Hawk: Lucille Bertuccelli,👁️ she's an older counselor, a sweetheart though. Not only does she keep cabin tarantula hawk up am running, but she also is in charge of the arts and crafts cabin! Gracie Liu (👁️lowkey, i forgot gracie liu existed, so all of her color are just inverted. no matter how you picture her in ur brain, just invert the colors)
Cabin Ladybug : Soren Baltimore, 👁️a bit of a quiet lad, it wears a cape given to it by fennel. soren wears pants that are cover completely in pockets, those pockets are practically infinite, anything you can imagine, soren has it in its pockets. Fennel Marlborough, 👁️our favorite camp taxidermist (don't tell anyone) they have the art of life preservation down to a tea, now if they can only get em to start moving again. soren and fennel are tightly nit, they made up two languages, one between only them and the other for the entire cabin.
Cabin Widow-spider: Matthew Napoleon, 👁️he is the void, don't be scared of him just based on looks though. Matthew will teach you about things you thought you knew (you didn't). Because matthew cant actually talk, due to all that void, he communicates in a fun mixture of sign language, charades, and various static esc noises. Matthew is also involved, if not running, most water based activities (and sometimes juno+mila helps out around the cabin)
the cafeteria: Mila Alcorn 👁️and Juno Matsouka, 👁️i say "and" instead of giving the two separate descriptions because they are inseparable, trust me, i've tried. these two fish folk work together in the kitchen to provide food for all the campers at camp this and that. Practically gourmet chefs, these two are quite creative. Even though there's two of them, you'll never have to worry about chaos in the kitchen, mila and juno always compromise with each other, causing for some never before tasted flavors
special doodads
head of camp: Warren Earthman,👁️ he's a, stern, tired, grumpy, old man. also the walls in are covered with different brands and types of chainsaws. beside the threatening aspects of him, he also openly picks favorites and doesn't listen to anything that doesn't openly concern him or the government.
the rot: Sydney October Sargent, a weird rotting man who lives in the woods surrounding the camp. Don't get to close to him without a gas mask, please, the spores that emanate off of him are damn near hallucinogenic. Besides the skin falling off his bones, the various species of bugs living within him, and all the mushrooms/fungus living from his decomposing self, he's almost harmless. I mean, he's in shambles, a corpse who just won't let go, just try not to breathe near him.
Martime: Jedidiah A.M. Martime, a man who keep appearing in my dreams, I don't have dreams often, why is here, in color no less. this annoying, clock obsessed, not even real, man keeps trying to tell me that he's "here for you," and "it's ok, you can take a brake, you have enough time." what that man needs to do is pipe down and accept the fact he doesn't even exist in the physical plane.
