Recently saw your roleswap AU and I’m loving it! I have a few things I’m curious about:
1. So by my understanding Anya failed her flight certification 8 times and PE was cheap enough to be fine with that? Did she never pass? Makes sense, I’m just kinda clarifying lol
2. Does nurse!Curly also feel like he wants to try something different in his career like in canon? Did he also not have enough savings after PE went under? Did he go to nursing school or did he also fail his entrance exams?
3. What’s Daisuke’s story in this AU? Did his mom push him to go to trade school to become a mechanic? Did he do that on his own and his mom suggested working with PE?
4. It’s so interesting to me that Anya tried E-dating after getting back to earth and seemingly got rejected based on her appearance, poor girl :( but I’m kinda wondering about Curly’s perspective on this, did he have feelings for Anya while she was E-dating and just sucked it up for her?
5. I’m kinda curious about Curly and Anya’s relationship pre-crash, was it a little bit flirty like in canon? Did Anya try to approach Curly with what Jimmy was doing or was the blackmail powerful enough for her not to say a peep to anyone?
Tumblr media
haha gonna answer all of these at once! but first here's something on 5 :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she never passed the Official Legit certification but passed what counts for it in PE (so, certified only to fly PE vessels) and kind of sees it as her last chance to make it as a pilot. still hopes to get properly certified one day, working at PE to make the money for simulator hours and exam fees
curly actually went to a med school on a football scholarship but had to drop out about two or three years in because he started prioritising studies over practice and the money got pulled. used the money he had left to switch tracks and certify as a nurse. joined PE because space travel sounded fun but is pretty bored of it because he doesn't get to do much on a regular haul. he isn't quite as existential in this regard as canon curly because working in a people-oriented nurturing profession actually makes him feel useful, he just wishes he could be more useful ya kno? has enough savings to be able to rent a place and find a job at a hospital, so overall it all kinda works out for him if you don't count all the horrors
i think in this au daisuke's mother actually pushed him to intern as a mechanic a few years earlier than in canon, which is how he met swansea (pilot with engineering background) and got inspired enough to go into trade school. by the time the events of the au begin he is a certified mechanic though not with a lot of experience :"3
curly has had the biggest fattest crush on anya almost the entire time of knowing her (i feel like he kinda spawns in already in love with anya), so her E-dating phase is kinda rough on him (like, Very rough; mans full on wasting away from his heart getting broken in tiny ways a hundred times a day), but he is king of denying himself and putting others first so he does his best to be A Good And Supportive Roommate about it. he even tries to date other people too! but with not nearly as much gusto and it never goes far. he is too whipped
there was definitely Something. i'll expand on it a bit more in a later ask i got about captain anya, but the tldr is that she goes to great pains to Act Professional and curly is never in a million years going to confess anything. and then jimmy's arrival blows it all up and any kind of romance plummets down everyone's lists of priorities. and anya never tells curly anything -- this is her problem to deal with, and with him being jimmy's friend there is a tiny part of her that is afraid of not being believed even though she overall thinks he's a good guy :")
anya writes all kinds of things, but it's all fiction. she dabbles in poetry, but her two main points of focus in prose are a) long meandering stream of consciousness type of pieces that span generations and have very convoluted plots and interpersonal relations (think woolf's waves meets one hundred years of solitude), inspired largely by the time she had to lie there and do little more than drift in and out of delirium and think, and b) shameless smut that starts out as your run of the mill romance and suddenly changes genres halfway through (funny how life can just Change all at once huh). she never really gains a Massive audience but does have a considerable number of dedicated fans of both categories

☆ yummy in my tummy ☆
part two
Tumblr media
a/n i swear everytime im about to play love and deepspace, the app needs another update. my phone storage can't keep up T0T anyways, i'm not that far in but xavier is my fave. he lowkey reminds me of silver haha. rafayel is a close second tho
includes: all of octavinelle, scarabia + pomefiore
tw mentions of eating disorder
want more? check out part one!
Tumblr media
Octavinelle <3
⋆ Perhaps the last dorm that you want to know about your skills. But alas, your heart is vast, so even shady seamen deserves some delicious home cooked meals/treats!
⋆ How about making some extra cash? Is what Azul says after taking a bit. He does mean it. Not only would Monstro Lounge gain some more popularity after news of the Ramshackle Perfect’s home made meals/treats were being served, but he gets to spend time with you without giving his feelings away? A win-win if you asked him. As we all know, Azul does suffer from an eating disorder, as much as he tries to deny it, but somehow your cooking/baking doesn’t upset him at all. If anything, he gets so lost in the flavors that he doesn’t realize that his stomach is full and plate empty. Should he be concerned? Disgusted with himself? Lots of negative emotions begin to swell up, but when he glances at you, fully expecting the worst, he’s met with your proud smile. Happiness practically radiating off your being. And suddenly, Azul doesn’t mind the feeling of a full stomach as long as you look at him like that again.
⋆ Jade finds himself coming to you more often to ask for tips on how to cook mushrooms in different ways. Heck, he even encourages you to come out mushroom hunting with him. He’s fascinated by the way you work, seeing you mix different spices and ingredients together inspires him to do the same. He enjoys getting a glimpse at a third world, your world. It reminds him that the universe is truely a big, fascinating place. He is touched that your first thought was to bring him food, don’t worry he’ll repay the favor.
⋆ Your food is the only thing to get Floyd out of his moods! Once he smells the delicious scent of your meals/sweets, he instantly goes back to being silly and goofy! He will pester the living daylights out of you to make his favorite foods. You will know no peace! Floyd always makes his distaste clear. He’s an honest guy, what can he say? So it’s a big achievement that your food gets the Floyd pass. He will glare at anyone that dares to come near his food. This is his food, not theirs! Floyd’s a good cook himself, so like Jade, if he’s feeling particularly chummy, you might be gifted with his own unique concoction.
Scarabia <3
⋆ Scarabia is known to have the best food in the school! So it was a little jarring when you decided to give them some of your homemade food. But you really have nothing to worry about when it comes to these too.
⋆ You thought you were going to go blind with how bright Kalim's smile was. It truly could rival the sun. Because of the trust between you and Kalim, he devours it within seconds. Practically buzzing in excitement as the flavors touch his tongue. He’s not joking when he says that it’s as good as Jamil’s food. He wants to throw a party where you and Jamil have a cook off! But also just to show off your amazing cooking. You’re going to have to politely tell him that might be too much for you. Or that you only cook for special people! (subtle flirting hehe) And well Kalim is Kalim so it’s like a 50/50 chance that it won’t fly over his head. But in the case that it doesn’t, Kalim gets all warm and flustered. You know how some people get cuteness aggression and just want to squeeze said cuteness, well that’s Kalim. Instantly you're in his arms while he exclaims how much he loves you!
⋆ Jamil gave you the weirdest look, thinking that you wanted something from him. But alas! You did it out of the goodness of your heart. After getting over his initial suspicion, Jamil is incredibly thankful! I get a feeling that between everything that Jamil has to handle, he tends to eat very little most days. Just enough to get him to bedtime. So when you popped out of thin air with food, but not just any food his favorite, Jamil is touched. Though just because he’s touched, that doesn’t mean he won’t critique it! Internally of course, unless you ask. I would like to say that this would lead to cooking dates, but Jamil gives me the impression that he doesn’t like others in the kitchen while he works. Though he’s willing to try it out for you! Omg, if you make him food from the Scalding Sands, he just might tear up (lol, probably not but that’s a funny thought) but he will be incredibly touched!
Pomefiore <3
⋆ A tricky dorm to cook/bake for. A life or death situation! You must satisfy the Queen’s tastes or else you’ll face everlasting sleep! OoooOOoooooOOOoooo
⋆ Your greatest foe, the Queen herself! Does your food satisfy the Queen’s strict diet? ………partially. Listen, Vil holds himself to high regards and keeps a stern eye on his calories and where those calories come from. And while yes, you are going the right path, you also took some side quests on the way. In other words, you were like 74% to getting Vil’s approval. But fear not! For Vil is more than willing to take you under his wing! Though, Vil’s not a chef himself, so he’ll guide you in the ways of his diets. As long as you keep those in mind, Vil finds himself thoroughly enjoying anything you make him. He enjoys foods that are light on the stomach with plenty of nourishment. Vil will oftentimes find himself thinking about your food. His stomach growling in hunger. He appreciates it whenever you show up with homemade snacks. Vil will oftentimes submerge himself in his work, whether that be new roles, schoolwork or guiding his dorm mates, and forget to eat. So knowing that you're always thinking of him and coming to check up on him makes him feel all mushy and gooey inside. Goodness, the effects you have on him.
⋆ C’est délicieux! Anything and everything you give Rook is eaten with fervor. Truly enjoying and savoring every bite! For how could he let anything go to waste? You put your heart and soul into it, it would be wrong not to enjoy it with his own heart and soul. His appetite is never quenched when it comes to your food. He consumes your food with such earnestness that it's hard not to get all flustered. The compliments are never ending when it comes to him. Rook could (and has) write poetry off the delicious taste of your food. Sweet, yet a little off putting. Will jump at any occasion to speak about your food, and by extension you. Eveytime he sees you with a bag or box, Rook is skipping towards you with a little tune to each step.
⋆ Nothing could beat his Meemaw’s apple pie, but Epel supposes that yours come to a close second. Your food is the only thing Vil will turn a blind eye to, which Epel takes as an opportunity to slyly (not really) suggest new recipes for you to try. Honestly, Epel really likes your food! He gets all flustered whenever you pop with food for him. At first he was a little insulted that you made him food, thinking you were insulting his masculinity or something by babying him. But after your very honest words (and a reprimanding from Vil and Leona for making you sad), Epel understands that it was just you trying to show him that you cared for him. I can see Epel going to Jack and asking ‘Is someone giving you food manly?’ and Jack, who happened to overhear Leona telling Ruggie, casually responds with, ‘My mom always makes my dad food, so yeah…” And Epel’s all like, ‘Well damn, if Jack looks like that then his dad must be super macho.’ or something like that. Needless to say, Epel has never hit someone so hard before over food. (rip grim and ace)

Tumblr media
"It wasn't even that funny-"
"It wasn't even that funny!"
Both you and Oscar look up to who it was mockingly imitating Oscar's friendly teasing, and your eyes set themselves upon Lando Norris, smirking obnoxiously.
"What's your problem?" you demand, crossing your arms, most of the laughter from Oscar's joke that he made fives minutes ago (yes, you were still laughing your head off at it) gone.
"What do you mean? I'm just kidding. It's just funny how your boyfriend can make the most dumb joke, and send you both into a ten minute laughing fit-"
"Boyfriend?" you and Oscar seem to ask incredulously in sink.
The smile falls off of Lando's face this time, and is replaced by a look of surprise and confusion. "Waaaait... So you're trying to tell me you guys aren't dating?"
Oscar blinks a few times in confusion. "Y/n and I are just friends. We always have been."
"Yeah," you add quickly, nodding. "I don't know why everyone thinks differently."
Lando's eyebrows raise in amusement. "Maybe because you guys act like you're mad in love...? Like, all the time? Or maybe the fact that you come to every single one of our races? Or maybe it's the way you look at each other with heart eyes, like the other one is the only one in the room? I mean, I don't know. It could be the way you're always giggling and talking and yapping to each other... But, oh, what do I and everybody else know?"
"Good question," Oscar deadpans. "What do you know?"
Lando shrugs, rollings his eyes, and struts away. As soon as he's gone, Oscar turns back to you with a little shrug and says, "Sorry about that. I guess nobody gets that two people can love each other as friends without feeling romantic feelings..."
You nod, shrugging. It makes sense to you, simply because that's how it's always been with you and Oscar, forever. The two of you practically slept in the same crib (not literally!). You always just assumed he's like a brother or something, and it doesn't pay to consider anything else. So you haven't. Too risky, and besides- that's not worth it to waste your time thinking about. You like things just the way they are, no need to change them.
"-Y/n?"
"Hm?!" you look up, snapping out of your pondering.
Oscar smiles at you, his brown eyes soft, like they always are when he looks at you. You smile back, eyes equally as warm as he says, "Did you hear me?" in amusement.
You chuckle, "No, sorry."
He nods, giving your shoulder a little pat as he stands up. "I've got to go now get ready for the race. First of the season. Wish me luck!"
"Luck isn't needed," you say with a little grin. "You've got enough skill alone to win it."
He grins. "I guess. But luck never hurts, does it?"
"Not at all." You stand up with him and give him a quick half-hug, saying gentler, "Drive safe, and bring it home. I'll be cheering you on."
"Like always?"
"Like always."
"Hey, Y/n?"
You look up from your phone, shutting it off. You're sitting alone, long after the 2025 season opening race, the Australian Grand Prix, has ended. You haven't seen Oscar since the race ended, and have just been sitting around, not wanting to go home until you have a chance to talk with him. And there he is, standing there, back in his regular clothes: a black sweatshirt, sweatpants, and sneakers, looking thoroughly sleepy.
You immediately stand up, smiling, saying simply, "It was a great drive."
"Well, I-"
"Hush. You scored points after what happened, and that's enough, for goodness' sake."
He smiles softly, and though his eyes say a lot more, he just nods and says simply, "Yeah, yeah, you're right. As always."
You nod promptly and say teasingly, "I know!"
He just rolls his eyes and says, already in a better mood just by talking to you, "Mum wanted you over tonight for dinner."
You grin, "She did, did she?"
"You know she always does, whenever I'm around, want me to bring you over. She adores you."
"She's the sweetest," you chuckle. "Well, I wouldn't mind one of your mum's home cooked meals."
Oscar nods, grabbing his coat, and saying, "I agree; that would hit the spot right now. C'mon."
You two make it to the car and get in, before you start heading to Oscar's mother's home. The car ride is mostly silent, but neither of you really mind. It's a comfortable, good kind of silence.
Towards the end of it, though, you ask simply, "So, that's the end of the first race week of the season. How're you feeling?"
Oscar shrugs, thinking for a few moments, before saying, "Hmm... I guess I'd have to say tired, but very hopeful."
You smile. "Good. You just need your beauty rest, huh?"
He glances at you with a cute little smile. "Right."
Dinner is nice. Warm, and reminds you of home, and your childhood, and everything good. And it's perfect for a rainy day like today.
Once he's finished eating, though, Oscar stands up, stretching, from the table, and says, "Well, I should be off to bed..."
"Oh, Oscar, you will give poor Y/n a ride home won't you?" Oscar's mother asks.
He looks over at you with a little smile and nods, saying, "Oh, right, of course."
You walk to the door together, but before Oscar opens the front door to leave, you gently grab his arm and say simply, "Osc."
He looks up from unlocking the door, meeting your eyes. "Hm?" he asks gently.
"You don't need to drive me home. I could get a cab or take the bus or whatever. It's all good. You've had a crazy week, as it is, much crazier than mine-"
"I mean, I was thinking maybe it'd be fine if I didn't drive you home, too, but you don't have to get a cab. I'm sure if I asked, my mum would be fine with you just staying the night or something."
You blink in surprise, but smile at the suggestion. "Oh. Well, I'd hate to bud in-"
He smiles. "You're family, Y/n. Don't worry." He takes your hand, tugging you back towards the dining room, calling, "Mum! Would it be fine if Y/n just stayed the night? We've both had a long day!"
"Oh, of course, honey! Tell her she can make herself just all nice and comfy and at home! Y/n's such a sweetheart, anyways. She's always welcome!"
Oscar smiles, looking at you. "You heard that, right?"
You smile back up at him with a little laugh. "Yeah, I heard that."
He nods, saying, "C'mon, let's go to my room."
The two of you head there, both of you knowing the way to Oscar's childhood bedroom from all the years you used to spend in there together. When you walk in, seeing all the dressers in the same place they always were, and all Oscar's old decorations from his karting days, memories seem to flood back, just like that, and both you and Oscar feel it. You crawl onto his bed, just like you always used to do, flopping down against his pillows, making yourself at home.
Oscar smiles and crawls in next to you. Just like he always used to do, too. "Last time we were both here was..."
"...right after you joined McLaren, right?" you smile at the memory.
"I guess so." He smiles down at you.
"I remember distinctly, one time, you had been gone so, so long, and I asked your mum if I could surprise you when you got home..."
Oscar starts laughing, clearly remembering it to. "Ohhh yeah. I threw open the bedroom door and flopped on my bed, even though you were on it. By the time I saw you and yelped, it was too late."
"Yeah, and I wrapped my arms around you and started tickling you," you say giggling.
He rolls his eyes, grinning. "I remember. By the end of it, I was gasping and near tears. God, Y/n, you know I was tired."
"I know. But I made you laugh and smile, didn't I? And I made you feel better, didn't I?"
"I mean, I was just happy to see you," he says, his gaze comfortably resting on yours.
"I was happy to see you. Do you know how much I missed you those months?"
"You miss me if you don't see me for a week, Y/n, still."
"Why do you think I come to every race that I can?"
"Because I pay for you to?"
You roll your eyes at that, crossing your arms, "I mean, yeah, but that's not the sentiment I was going for!"
He laughs, giving your shoulder a little playful tap. "I know, I know."
You sigh deeply, the sweet silence settling between the two of your for a little while, before murmuring, "And I hope you remember after that tickle attack, when your face was red and you were nearly crying from laughing, I gave you the biggest hug of all time..."
Oscar's face warms at that as he leans a bit closer to you. "Yeah... Yeah, I remember. You wanna know why that moment was special to me?"
"Why?"
"Because that was the moment I realized that there are some people in my life that never truly will leave me. Even if I leave them. And you're one of the best of them. That was when I learned what family is."
You nod slowly, thinking about that for a few moments, before saying, "That's... so sweet. I like it."
Oscar smiles. "Me, too. I like it too. I'm so lucky to have a best friend like you."
"And I so lucky to have a best friend like you."
Oscar smiles at that, nodding, satisfied, before letting out a big yawn, reminding you if a sleepy cat, before folding his hands up into fists and rubbing his watery eyes.
And, as if it's contagious, you let your own yawn, a few moments later.
Oscar smiles, this time more sleepily at you, before slipping his arm over your shoulders and pulling you a little closer to himself. You flop your head to lean against his shoulder, and murmur, "Time for us both to get the much-needed rest our bodies are begging us for?"
"Mmm-hm. Yeah. Whatever you said," Oscar murmurs as he drifts off, the hint of a smile still lingering on his mostly relaxed face.
And you both drift off, surrounded by that perfect warmth and tranquility that feels just like home.
A little under a week later, you're sleeping against Oscar in a very similar position, feeling like you're just as at home in China than you are in Australia, simply because of the person you're resting against, when you're awakened by the painful claims, "I ship it, the mechanics ship it, the other teams' drivers ship it, the fans ship it. My God, even my mum ships it! Literally everyone can see you're mad in love except you and her!"
You stretch, your eyes fluttering open, and murmur before you're even sure it's Lando's unwanted yapping torturing your ears, "Landooo shut uppp..."
Oscar gives your shoulder a squeeze, groaning to Lando in his perfectly alert awake state (contrary to yours), "Look at that, Lando, you made her wake up!"
"Oh, yeah, 'cause you'd hate for her to stop sleeping against y-"
"Lando, stop, it's not like that."
"How come every time a girl and a guy are friends, everyone ships them? I think that's society's problem," you comment as you rub your tired eyes.
Lando snorts, saying, "It's not every time. You guys are just obvious. And oblivious. You just need to admit it to each other."
"There's nothing to admit to each other, Lando," Oscar comments as he watches you slowly lean off of him, slipping his arm off your shoulders.
"Yeah, we're, like, brother and sister."
"Well, I wouldn't say that-" Oscar begins quickly.
"I mean, yeah, like-"
"We're more like just really close friends," Oscar finishes confidently.
"Yes, that's true, I agree," you say quickly, looking up at him. "We're family, but not brother and sister."
"Ah, so you're family, but it's not like siblings. What else could you be other than mad in love but just too dense to realize it?" Lando asks.
You just glare, crossing your arms, and Oscar comments, "I don't know, but it's not like that."
"Maybe it's just not like that simply because you both refuse to admit what you really want."
"Lando, I don't need you of all people being my psychologist. Could you just leave it?" you comment, feeling Oscar's eyes watching you.
Lando sighs (overdramatically), shrugs, and says, "Suit yourself. I'm just saying, you guys have got to get together soon, or else you'll drive yourselves and everyone else insane. We can all tell you guys just need to kiss already." And with that, he once again struts away.
As soon as he's gone, you whine, leaning your head into Oscar's shoulder, "I hate Lando!"
"Don't say that. He's just kidding," Oscar says gently.
You sigh. "I know... it's just..."
"Hm?" Oscar prompts gently.
"I don't want people thinking something that's not true."
"Who cares what they think? We both know how we feel about each other, and that's all that matters." But do we? Oscar's brain echoes.
"Yeah, you're right," you murmur, nodding, comforted by his words, not even picking up the way he stares forward, eyebrows knitted together, deep in thought.
You've heard what you think you want to hear, and that's all that matters to you.
The moment you see Oscar after his podium, after he stood on the first step, winning such a solid race as that, you run into his arms, causing him to laugh as he hugs you back, saying, "Hey, Y/n."
"I'm so proud of you!" you say excitedly. "Amazing drive- amazing!"
"Thank you, Y/n. It means a lot. I'm so happy you were here to cheer me on."
You grin up at him. "Me, too, Oscar. Me too."
He celebrated with his team after the race, you staying in your hotel, since Oscar promised you he'd like to bring you home with him to Monaco, and have a more low key celebration, without as many people. Besides, you'd like it that way better anyway. And this way, you can get some extra sleep and try to avoid some of the jet lag from the long flight to Monaco.
Now you stand in Oscar's bathroom back in Monaco, gazing at yourself in the mirror in your white crop top and silver skirt, knowing that when you step out of the bathroom, all you need is for Oscar to tell you it looks nice, and then all your worries will vanish.
And once you do, of course, he stands up from the living couch and says, "You look really pretty. Ready to go?"
You smile softly, sighing in relief, and nod. "Yes. I'm ready to go celebrate with the winner of the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix." You laugh a bit, and add as you head out to the car, "Oscar, you know I'm so incredibly proud of you."
He grins. "I know, I know." You know he loves your lavishing, even if he wouldn't admit it. He's never gotten enough of it; you're one of the people that appreciate him the most, you think, at least. You appreciate him a whole lot, anyways.
Soon you get to your destination, and the night starts off really fun, you and Oscar just sticking with each other, laughing, singing, drinking, and dancing. But after too long, the air becomes stale, the noise becomes too loud, and the drinks turn bitter. You're tired, and Oscar's off somewhere, swept away with his other friends. You sigh deeply, leaning against the wall, running a hand through your hair.
It's then that you feel a hand on your shoulder, and it makes you flinch. It's unfamiliar.
It's not Oscar's hand.
You look up to see a man around your age with tangled overgrown curly brown hair and dark, cold eyes. He's wearing a gold chain around his neck and a football jersey. It's then that he shows you his unflattering smirk and says in a thick French accent, "I'm Jordan."
You just kind of nod, showing a fake smile and crossing your arms, not really in the mood for any antics with any strange guys.
His eyebrows raise as he says, "Do you have a name, or am I going to have to give you one?"
Your lip immediately curls up as you look at him from the corner of your eye, still not tilting your face directly towards him. "You're not smooth. My name is Y/n."
"Pretty name for a pretty girl. A sassy girl, too, at that. I like that."
You bite your lip, rolling your eyes in utter annoyance at this guy 'Jordan.' "Good for you..." you murmur, trying to send him the message that you really don't want to talk with him.
Jordan just hums and steps closer to you. You glance up at him for the first time, really, feeling a bit sick from how close he is to you. You murmur awkwardly, "Could you please step away?"
"No, I don't think I will. I'm enjoying your reaction too much."
"Please, stop."
He roughly grabs your chin, forcing you to look him in the eyes. You swallow deeply.
"I really like your skirt..." he purrs, leaning in closer to you, completely ignoring your protests. His hand slips onto your thigh and grips it tightly.
"Stop... I don't care-"
"You don't, don't you? Well, what a shame... I reckon there's not much you can do about that..."
"St-"
He lips meet yours in a nasty, rough kiss. Your head pounds and spins as your knees begin to shake, panic of what's happening sinking in, your thoughts raging with anxious thoughts at the same time as your head being completely empty. You push at his chest, but he pushes his whole body up against yours, pinning you to the wall, further into a shadow.
You gasp, the panic sinking in deeper, and hardly register what happens next.
Oscar's familiar voice in all the chaos says in one of the angriest, coldest tones you've ever heard from his mouth, "Get your fucking nasty hands away from her."
Jordan tears his lips away from your mouth as Oscar grabs him, Jordan turning his head to look behind him, but before he has a chance to react, you watch as a fist comes flying across and hits him square across the face. He stumbles back and as blood begins gushing from his nose. For a moment, his eyes meet yours in shock, as if he expects you to help a dog like him, but it's then that you watch Oscar grab him by the collar and murmur in the darkest of tones to him, "I told you to get your nasty hands away from her, and you didn't. That's my girl, and no one dares to touch her like that. You better not think you can go on like this, and I hope this can be a reminder for you not to." And with that, Oscar throws another punch, hitting the guy in his eye. You slowly slip down the wall, still watching in shock as Oscar finishes him off by handing one more punch to him on his bloody jaw, before letting go of his collar, letting him fall to the floor, finishing with a yell, "The pain you're feeling right now is nothing compared to the pain you deserve!"
You watch as Jordan scampers up and, just like that, without even considering a fight, stumbles off, out of sight.
And then, everything hushed, Oscar turns, and his eyes meet yours. His hair is a little sweaty and messed up, falling over his forehead. For a moment, you see that remaining burning anger, but as soon as he takes you in, that vanishes, and is replace by the familiar warmth he seems to always look at you with.
And the moment your eyes lock, the tears start coming, and you break down.
Oscar is immediately by your side, pulling you into his arms, sitting on the floor next to you and holding you in his lap, gently stroking your hair. After a while, you hiccup, slowly leaning away, your body still shaking, and murmur, mopping up your eyes with your hands, "Os- Oscar... That was scary. I'm scared."
He gently takes your hand. "You don't have to be. I'm here. Are you ready to go home?"
You nod slowly, and Oscar helps you up, leading you out back to his car, his arm around your back protectively the entire time.
Once back in the car, as the events of what just happened replay through your head, you hiccup, more tears threatening to flow. Oscar gently takes your hand, murmuring in the dark of the parked car, "Tell me what I can do for you, and I'll do it. I hope you know I'll do anything for you to feel better."
You sigh shakily and just lean into him. He wraps his arms around you, holding you for a few minutes, before you lean away again and murmur, "Let's just get home..."
Oscar nods. "Good idea." He turns the car on and begins driving, and as soon as he does holds his hand that he's not using to drive out to you. You put your hand in his, letting the warmth from it fill you and comfort you.
As he drives, you suddenly say in the empty silence, "'That's my girl.' That's what you said."
Oscar just nods a little. "I know. I did mean to say that, you know."
You swallow, thinking for a few moments, before murmuring the simple question, "Why?"
"Because you've always been mine and I've always been yours, haven't I?"
You swallow. "I don't know what that means."
"Forget what it means. You're the most important girl- the most important person- to me. You're my girl, and I'm not going to let anyone be messing with you."
That feels right to you, and good to you, to hear that. And you're glad, in a way, that he's so confidently figured that out. It frees you to say back, "Well, yeah, then... I guess that makes you my boy, then..."
Oscar smiles very softly, giving your hand a little squeeze as you arrive at his home. Once you're both inside, before you have a chance to start worrying, Oscar says gently, putting a hand on your shoulder, "I want you to be comfortable. What do you need? I could get you something to eat, run a bath for you, get a change of clothes, all three, whatever else you need-"
"Oh, uh, don't worry about it-"
"Hush," Oscar suddenly interrupts, shaking his head. He moves to stand right in front of you, before gazing down into your eyes, and saying in all sincerity, "Look, I want you to be honest. I want to take care of you if that's what you need. I want you to be comfortable."
You swallow, nodding a bit, before murmuring, "A bath and a change of clothes might be nice... I'm not hungry, though."
Oscar nods, putting his hand on your back, leading you to his room. He opens his closet and says, "You can wear whatever you can find. I'm going to go run that bath for you; I'll call you when it's ready. I'll get a towel for you in the bathroom, too."
You nod, find one of his bigger McLaren T-shirts and a pair of black sweatpants, and head to the bathroom just as Oscar is calling for you.
Oscar smiles at you gently when you walk in and say simply, "Anything else you need?"
You shake your head 'no,' saying, "Thank you."
He nods. "Of course. I'll just be in the living room, you can come there when you're done. Call me if you need anything. And take your time, too."
You smile weakly, nodding. "Alright. Thanks, Osc."
He nods, leaving you to have your bath. You peel off your clothes and sink into the water, feeling its warmth surround you like an embrace. You let out a long sigh of relief as the water touches your sore, tense muscles, soothing them. After the night you've had, it feels good to just be. To just experience something genuinely good and calming, knowing Oscar is just in the next room.
Oscar. The way he stood up for you, was so protective of you, and beyond that, has been taking such good care of you... You know Oscar a good man... He was always a really sweet boy, and he's grown up to be a really very upright and sweet man. It was crazy- crazy- to see him go off on that stranger, and beat him up the way he did.
But somehow, it felt right. It was just proving he's good. That he cares so much about and for you, he won't let anyone hurt you without knowing the consequences of it from him.
How much does he really care about me?
The question almost feels good to ask, because you have a feeling the answer is one you like.
And then the way he so confidently called you his girl.
'That's my girl.'
Just looking back on it, for some reason, it makes your heart skip a beat. It's that chest-tightening nervous affectionate feeling you get often when Oscar does or says little things. Although this time, it's not little, and every new thing he does seems to make your stomach flutter a little more. It's a familiar feeling that you're sure you've gotten hundreds of times before with Oscar, but for some reason, you're only realising it now. Why, you have no idea, and what the strange feelings could mean, you have even less of an idea.
Soon, you finish your bath, and after drying yourself put on Oscar soft, comfortable clothes, no matter how over sized they are on you. Besides, you don't care in the slightest about that as soon as you inhale his familiar, comforting scent when you put them on. You go to the living room and see Oscar laying on the couch on his phone, now in a T-shirt and sweatpants, just relaxing. As soon as you walk in, though, he looks up.
"Osc...? Do you have a brush I could use for my hair?"
He nods, hopping up from the couch, and says, "Yeah, I do. Wait here, I'll be right back. Just get yourself comfy."
He leaves, and you shrug, taking his advice, and curl up on the couch, waiting for him to come back. He takes longer than you expect him to, but soon enough, he walks back in and sits next to you, saying, "Why don't you just relax, and I can brush it for you?"
"Seriously? You don't have to," you say immediately, secretly wanting badly for him to brush your hair for you. You love the feeling of other people playing with your hair- and if it's Oscar, even better.
He smiles at you. "I know, but I want to." And with that, to both of your delight apparently, begins gently brushing through your hair. When he's done, he slowly start running his fingers through it, starting from the bottom and going up to the top. You sigh, leaning back into him, and Oscar just simply loves it. After a while he says, softly amused, "You just seem to melt when my hands are in your hair."
You shrug, smiling a little, and say, "What can I say? It feels really good."
He chuckles that low comforting chuckle that feels just like home. "I can tell." After a few more minutes he says, "I found a hair tie I think you must've left here at one point. Do want me to braid your hair or something?"
You smile, glancing back at him, and say, "You can do that? I don't know if I can trust you."
He just smiles back at you. "You should. I'm good at it. Remember, I grew up with three sisters."
You shrug again before saying, "Well, alright..."
He chuckles softly again, before he gently begins braiding your hair, his fingers gently weaving through your locks, slowly, until he finally finishes and ties it on the end. Once he's finished, you turn around to face him.
He smiles at you.
You smile back, taking his hands in both of yours.
"You're beautiful," he suddenly says, looking right into your eyes. "I don't think I've told you that enough. Because I think it all the time, whenever I look at you."
For some reason, your friend saying that makes you blush. There are a few moments of silence, before you look down at your joined hands and murmur, "Crazy that the hands that beat up that guy are the same hands that just gently braided my hair."
Oscar shrugs, smiling a little. "They have different uses in different moments. And I don't regret what I did for a moment, not any of it. I would do the exact same thing if I had to do it all again. In fact, just thinking about it makes me really angry. But what matters most is that you're okay."
You sigh slowly, nodding, your head a bit dizzy at the thought of it all. "I'm just so thankful for you, throughout it all. You, like, saved the day..." you chuckle wryly.
He shrugs, nodding a bit. "I guess." A little laugh.
More silence.
You stare down once more at your joined hands. "But Oscar..." you begin hesitantly.
"Yes?" he prompts gently.
"...I'm sorry."
"Y/n... for what? You did nothing wrong-!" Oscar begins somewhat incredulously.
"It's just... You were celebrating your win..."
"Oh, Y/n..." Oscar begins, his tone softening. "Come on, now. Look up at me, will you?"
You sigh, doing so.
"It's not your fault, what happened," Oscar says. "It's that idiot's fault, and we both know that. What happened happened, and there was no preventing it. And if you're worried about me, don't be. I had a perfectly good time celebrating in China with my team. This was more that I wanted to do something with you, for you. But look at this right now. Here we are, sitting together, anyway. Isn't that what matters the most anyway; isn't that the point? So why don't we just make the most of this moment, right now, hm?"
You sigh again, nodding slowly, before saying, you heart almost feeling like it's being squeezed, "Okay."
"Hey," Oscar murmurs, his hand touching the bottom of your chin. "You're looking down again. Talk to me." He gently raises your chin.
You swallow, and suddenly, words that you hardly knew you even thought start coming from your mouth, and only now as you hear them in your voice do they even begin to make sense: "I guess it's just that... You're so caring and gentle with me, and protective. And we like each other so much and get along so well and we've known each other for years and... I guess sometimes I wonder about us... You know, our relationship, like, what even is it? I mean, I think we'd both readily admit we most definitely love each other, but I guess... well, I don't know..."
Oscar nods slowly, before whispering, as if it's some long kept secret, "You guess you just wonder in what way we love each other?"
You swallow, nodding. "Well, yes, exactly. Because... well, I don't know."
"Can I tell you how I feel about you?"
You study his face for a few moments- his handsome face- and nod.
"I feel about you the most deep feeling I've ever known, deeper than I ever thought I could experience. The love I have for you is beyond anything I could describe in a physical sense- it's beyond a romantic love or and family love or the strongest kind of named love I could think of. All I know is that when I look at you, I see fulfillment, and happiness. I see everything I've ever needed, plus everything I've ever wanted. I see a priceless jewel- the sort of thing that anyone would honor and protect with their life. I see beauty herself, on the inside and out. I see my best friend, my favorite person, the one I would spend any and every moment with, if I could. I see comfort, I see love. I look at you and know the great lengths I would go for you. I know it's all so cliche, but it is a love beyond words. It is. I just..." he trails off, before leaning in and whispering, "Are you crying?"
You sniff, looking away, your heart pounding. "No..."
He smiles gently, his hand leaving yours to reach up and wipe a tear away off your cheek with his thumb, "Don't cry."
"That's just so... sweet... and... everything I exactly feel, too, put into words..."
"Y/n..." he hums gently with a little chuckle. "I don't want you to cry, though."
"Don't worry," you say with a little hiccupy laugh. "They're good tears."
He smiles a bit, grabbing your hand again and giving it a squeeze. "Okay."
You swallow, before daring to ask, "What would the difference be, if you were my boyfriend instead of my best friend?"
Oscar eyes seem to light slightly at the question, and he says simply, "Nothing at all, except for one thing: we would be able to express that deep love for each other in different ways."
You nod slowly, swallowing.
Oscar leans in closer to you. "How does that sound to you?"
"I... I think it could be just what I need."
Oscar smiles softly. "I mean, I feel like... it would be nice to not just have to use my words to tell you how much I love you. You know, to be able to kiss you, or something, instead."
You find yourself smile a little at the words, nodding as pinkness gets to your cheeks. "Yeah... that doesn't sound so bad."
Oscar smiles, just gazing into your eyes. "Yeah?"
"It's just that... with tonight, with what happened..."
"Oh, I wasn't meaning we had to do anything tonight- just to think about. You know...?"
You nod slowly, before muttering, "But maybe... Just maybe tonight is the night to do it." You pause, before continuing, "You know, with all that happened, maybe if we just decided... tonight, let's just take a little step... it would help me to leave that. You know, it wasn't my fault... and I have someone who really does love me."
Oscar smiles. "And I really do."
You smile back, looking back up into his sweet brown eyes.
He slips his hand out of yours and gently brings it to your cheek, muttering, "Well, is it okay if I kiss you? Just a little kiss?"
You smile wider, feeling your stomach flutter at the sincere question. Nodding, you reply, "Yes, I reckon that is okay."
Oscar nods, his thumb stroking your cheek a bit as he leans in, his other hand gently touching your waist. His hand on your cheek shifts to cup the side of your neck, and he whispers, his warm breath on your ear, "You still okay?"
You nod.
And with that, he leans in, and, pulling you closer to himself, kisses you in the most perfect way. His adoration and love for you flows through the kiss, while still keeping it short and gentle. When he leans away, he whispers, "How was that?" with a little adorable smile.
You just sigh shakily and murmur, "I think you should do it again."
And he does without a second more of hesitation. His lips meet yours as he pulls your body closer to himself, lost in the kiss, lost in his emotions. When he pulls away again, he's pulled you onto his lap, but neither of you seem to care, both too swept up in each other's gazing eyes.
"I didn't realize for how long I needed to do that..." he whispers gently.
You smile a little. "I didn't realize how long I needed that from you."
He smiles back. "We'll call that both of our first kisses, okay?"
You nod. "Does this mean I'm your girlfriend now?"
"I like the sound of that."
You smile and throw your arms around him in an embrace. He pulls you closer to him, leaning back so that you can lay your head on him, and rubs your back, whispering, "I love you so much, Y/n. So, so much. To the moon and the stars and all the way back."
You smile up at him. "I don't know about the moon and the stars for me Oscar, but I'll tell you this: I love you enough to want to spend my life with you. I love you enough to want to grow old with you."
At those words, Oscar's arms tighten around you, and he chuckles, "See how sappy we suddenly get as soon as we decide to just give it up and kiss? My God."
You grin into his chest. "Yeahhh... But I don't mind it."
"Oh, trust me, I don't either." He shifts, moving you with him, making you both comfortable, so that you're laying together, cuddling.
"I really like this."
He hums. "Me too."
"You know we'll never hear the end of it from Lando if he finds out."
You feel the vibration of his laugh in his chest. "I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, let's just relax. I just want to be. Be with you."
"I think that sounds like exactly what I was made for. To be with you."
He smiles, and you shut your eyes, content to listen to his heartbeat and just be.
Just be with him.

can i request where the reader is taeyangs sister and ji yong is dating his sister and taeyang finds out about your relationship with his bestfriend :>>
oh, i actually wrote something similar to this! it has been sitting in my drafts for sometime now though haha,, here you go!
Tumblr media
༺ context ; You just returned to Korea after your trip to Japan, only to realize you lost your house key and couldn’t get inside. While you wait till your spare key made, your brother, Taeyang, invited you to his workplace so you wouldn’t be left waiting. ༺ warnings ; None! its entirely fluff
──────────────────────
"Taeyang, it's okay… I really can't just show up at your workplace," you said nervously over the phone.
"It's fine. You have nowhere else to go right now, right? Just come over," he insisted.
You bit your lip, heart pounding for a completely different reason. It wasn’t just about showing up at his workplace—it was about who you might run into.
Jiyong, Your boyfriend. The secret you’d been keeping from everyone for a while now, especially Taeyang.
"…Are you sure?" you asked, stalling for time.
"Of course. Stop overthinking and just over here," he said, already sounding distracted.
The call ended before you could argue any further. You stared at your phone, a pit forming in your stomach.
This was bad. Really bad. Because if Jiyong was there, and if Taeyang noticed anything even remotely suspicious… your secret might not stay a secret for long.
You took a deep breath as you stepped out of the taxi, your fingers tightening around the strap of your bag. The building loomed in front of you, its glass doors reflecting the city lights. Your heart pounded with every step, a mix of nerves and anticipation twisting in your stomach and before you even had a chance to text Taeyang that you’d arrived, the door swung open.
"There you are!" Taeyang’s familiar voice rang out as he stepped outside, relief washing over his face.
"Hey," you said, forcing a smile, but before you could say anything else, he grabbed your wrist.
"Come on, let’s go inside," he said, already pulling you in.
"Wait—Taeyang, slow down!" you protested, but he didn’t let go, weaving through the hallways like he was on a mission.
"You’re not just gonna stand around in the lobby," he said, flashing you a grin. "Come to the practice room. You can hang out there while I finish up."
Your stomach dropped. The practice room.
Which meant—
Before you could come up with an excuse, Taeyang pushed open the door, leading you straight inside.
And the first thing you saw was Jiyong.
Jiyong’s eyes met yours the second you stepped inside, his expression shifting from confusion to surprise. You froze, gripping the strap of your bag tighter, trying to suppress the panic rising in your chest. Behind Taeyang’s back, you quickly shook your head, silently pleading with Jiyong not to say anything.
He blinked, clearly trying to process what was happening, but before he could react, Taeyang clapped a hand on his shoulder.
"Don’t mind my sister," he said casually. "She’ll be staying here for a while."
Jiyong’s gaze flickered between you and Taeyang, his lips pressing together like he was holding back a thousand questions.
You swallowed hard, forcing yourself to act normal. Just play it cool.
"Yeah… Just for a bit,” you added, your voice steadier than you felt.
Jiyong leaned back slightly, arms crossed, still watching you. You could see the unspoken words in his eyes—Why are you here? Why didn’t you tell me? What are we supposed to do now?
Seunghyun and Daesung greeted you warmly, engaging you in light conversation. They asked about your trip to Japan, and you did your best to respond naturally, talking about the food, the sights, and the souvenirs you had brought back. Their easygoing nature helped calm your nerves—at least a little but, you couldn’t ignore the weight of Jiyong’s gaze on you. No matter how much you tried to focus on the conversation, you could feel it—steady, unrelenting, as if he was silently demanding an explanation. You refused to look at him, afraid that even a fleeting glance would give too much away.
As the conversation settled, Seunghyun and Daesung shifted their focus back to practice. Taeyang, still unaware of the silent tension, clapped his hands together, signaling it was time to get back to work.
Grateful for the chance to retreat, you quietly moved to the side, settling into a chair near the wall. You pulled out your phone, pretending to scroll, but your mind was elsewhere.
The music started, filling the room as they fell into sync, their movements sharp and practiced. You watched absently, occasionally glancing up, but no matter how much you tried to blend into the background.
As soon as they took a break, you seized the opportunity to step away. Turning to Taeyang, you asked where the pantry was, hoping for a brief escape. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and gestured toward the hallway. "Second door on the left."
Before you could leave, Daesung perked up. "Oh! If you’re going, can you grab me some chips?"
Seunghyun nodded in agreement. "And a bottle of water for me, please."
A few more requests followed, and you chuckled despite yourself. "Alright, alright. I’ll see what I can find."
You heard Jiyong’s footsteps trailing behind you, and though you tried to keep walking casually, your heart skipped a beat. After a few moments, he caught up to you, matching your pace silently.
You didn't dare glance back, afraid that if you did, you'd reveal just how unsettled you were. The tension between you both was thick, hanging in the air, and you could feel it more than ever now.
"You're going to get snacks for them?" Jiyong asked, his voice quiet, almost as if he was testing the waters.
"Yeah," you answered, keeping your gaze forward. "Taeyang and the others asked for some stuff."
Jiyong stayed silent for a moment, then muttered, "I didn’t know you were close enough with them to be running errands."
You could hear the subtle edge in his tone, but you refused to acknowledge it, hoping he’d let the conversation die and as you reached the pantry door, you finally turned to face him. "Jiyong, what are you doing?"
He stood a little too close now, his gaze intense, but unreadable. "Making sure you’re okay," he said softly.
Jiyong’s voice cut through the stillness of the pantry, and you froze, your hand hovering over the shelf.
"Don’t you think it’s time to tell everyone?" he repeated, his tone more direct this time, his eyes not leaving you.
You exhaled slowly, trying to keep your composure. You had been dreading this moment, and now it was here. There was no easy answer.
"I... I don't know, Jiyong," you said quietly, turning away slightly as you reached for the snacks. "It's just... complicated.’’
He stepped closer, his presence filling the space. "But keeping it a secret doesn’t make it easier. Don’t you think it’s worse, trying to hide something like this?"
You closed your eyes for a moment, biting your lip. Part of you knew he was right.
You didn’t answer him, the weight of his words settling in the space between you. Instead, you stepped toward the door, hoping the simple act of leaving would ease the tension that was starting to suffocate you but when you reached for the handle, your hand paused. The door was locked.
Your heart raced as you tugged at the door handle again, panic starting to set in. It was really locked. You glanced at Jiyong, your breath quickening.
"Ji? Ji! It’s locked!" you said, the urgency in your voice obvious.
He walked over calmly, his hand brushing past you as he tried the door, turning the handle with ease. ’’It’s locked!" he said quietly, testing it again as if the answer wasn’t clear.
"I know it’s locked!" you snapped, frustration building. "Can you do something?"
Just as Jiyong seemed to be about to say something, the lights suddenly flickered, then went out entirely. "Jiyong?" you called out, panic starting to rise in your throat. "What’s happening?"
Before you could react, you felt the cold air rush in, your senses heightened by the absence of light. You shrieked, the overwhelming sense of being trapped and vulnerable hitting you all at once. Without thinking, you reached out and grabbed onto Jiyong, clutching him tightly.
He froze for a moment, surprised, but then his hands found your arms, gently guiding you closer to him. "Hey, it’s alright," he said softly, trying to calm you. "It’s just a power outage."
"I... I don’t like this," you admitted in a shaky voice, your hands trembling.
Jiyong exhaled slowly, his hands resting on your shoulders now, his touch grounding you. "I know. I’ve got you."
Back in the practice room, the group sat in silence, the absence of light making everything feel heavier. The sound of their voices, however, broke the stillness.
"Don’t you think she’s taking too long just to get snacks?" Daesung’s voice echoed in the dark, a hint of concern in his tone. "What if she got lost?"
Seunghyun, still leaning against the wall, scoffed lightly. "Jiyong went with her. How could she possibly get lost?"
Taeyang, who had been pacing the room absentmindedly, suddenly stopped. He pulled out his phone, turning on the flashlight with a small frown. "I’m going to find them," he said, his voice firm. "They should’ve been back by now."
Daesung looked at Seunghyun, both of them sharing a brief, puzzled glance. "Maybe they’re just talking or something," Seunghyun offered.
Taeyang didn’t seem convinced. "Still, I’ll go check." He moved toward the door, the beam of his phone lighting the way as he pushed it open.
In the dimly lit pantry, the silence stretched between you and Jiyong, broken only by the soft rustle of a chip bag. You had finally started to calm down a little, still clinging to him for comfort, your breath a little steadier now.
Jiyong’s hands were wrapped around the chip bag, his fingers casually pulling out a handful and tossing them into his mouth. He ate them slowly, seemingly unfazed by the situation.
"Are you… are you seriously eating chips right now?" you asked, voice tinged with disbelief.
Jiyong glanced at you, his eyes flickering with amusement, but his expression softened when he saw the tension still lingering in your face. "What else am I supposed to do?" he asked casually, popping another chip into his mouth. "We’re stuck in here. Might as well enjoy it."
As the minutes passed, the situation settled into an eerie calm. Jiyong leaned his back against the pantry wall, seemingly at ease, one leg bent and his hands casually holding the chip bag. Meanwhile, you remained close, still clinging onto him, the weight of your thoughts swirling in silence.
Taeyang’s footsteps echoed through the hallway as he reached the pantry, his phone flashlight cutting through the dark. He pushed the door with force, trying to break the lock that had kept you both inside. The door groaned in protest, but with a final shove, it creaked open.
There, in the dim light, was Jiyong, leaning back against the wall with you still clinging to him, your head tilted slightly toward him. He had his lips near your cheek, and in that quiet, fleeting moment, he kissed you.
Taeyang stood there for a moment, still processing what he had just witnessed. His mind raced, but he quickly composed himself, a deep breath escaping him as he shook his head, trying to grasp the situation.
"Jiyong." he said, his voice a mix of shock and disbelief, "that's my sister."
Jiyong didn’t flinch, but there was a flicker of surprise in his eyes. He leaned back slightly, glancing at you before meeting Taeyang’s gaze. The casualness in his demeanor was gone, replaced with a quiet, almost apologetic expression.
"I know," Jiyong replied, his voice steady but low.
The three of you awkwardly made your way out of the pantry, the door finally creaking open. As you and Taeyang started down the hallway, the atmosphere shifted. The tension between you two, while still present, turned into the familiar bickering of siblings. The bickering continued even walking into the practice room, with Jiyong following along, still quietly carrying the snacks and enjoying the sibling chaos.
You and Taeyang continued bickering in the practice room, your voices filled the space with the usual playful back-and-forth as Jiyong walked over to Seunghyun and Daesung, who had been watching the exchange with curiosity. The two of them sat casually on the side, taking in the back-and-forth like an ongoing show. Jiyong slid into a spot next to them, giving them the  snacks you’d intended to bring earlier.
"What's up with them?" Seunghyun asked, nodding toward the ongoing playful exchange between you and Taeyang.
Jiyong casually shrugged, glancing back at the siblings with a small smirk. "Oh, he just found out I've been dating his sister."
Seunghyun and Daesung both blinked in surprise, their mouths dropping slightly as they looked at each other, processing what Jiyong had just said. "You—what?!" both of them exclaimed in unison.
Jiyong chuckled softly, holding up the bag of snacks in one hand. "Yeah, well, it’s not exactly how I planned for him to find out, but it happened."
Both Seunghyun and Daesung exchanged another look, processing the new information. Finally, Seunghyun shook his head, chuckling. "This is going to be interesting," he muttered, still trying to wrap his mind around it.
Daesung couldn’t hold back his laugh, clearly amused. "I’m just glad we’re not the ones caught in the middle of that bickering."
Jiyong leaned back casually, looking over at you and Taeyang, who were still exchanging jabs. "Yeah, that’s all them. I’m just here for the ride."

“y/n!” your head snapped back to find the familiar voice that called your name.
a smile spreads across your pretty face when you saw your friend waving from a few distance. the party lights made it a bit hard to see, but you’ve known her enough to tell it was her. the flickering lights has been hurting your eyes. thankfully, you’ve seen her already.
“what took you so long, girl?!” she exclaims as she pulls you into a hug.
you rolled your eyes, “i’m here already so calm down.”
she made face before starting dragging you towards a table filled with people— some are familiar but few of them are new to your eyes.
“guys! meet my best friend, y/n!” your friend screams in order to be heard through the banging music from the club.
almost all of the heads spins to look at you. it didn’t made you flinch or feel anxious. this isn’t the first time your friend dragged you into a group of new people. she’s probably the most socially active person you’ve known in your life.
“she finally shows up!” your eyes darted at the one who talked and smirked instantly.
“you’re here again, lee heeseung? i’m so sick of your face.” you joked as he stood up to give you a friendly hug as a greetings.
he’s one of the few friends that you got close to. very handsome and almost known at the whole campus. but he’s also very nice so its cool to keep him around. he’s a little flirty tho, so he’s no good for a weak heart.
“oh i’m sure you love my handsome face.” heeseung smirks and winks at you that only made you grimace jokingly.
he made room for you beside him and even tries to introduce the other unfamiliar people. chanting their names one by one like as if you’ll be able to memorize them at once. you can’t even hear all of it properly because of the damn music.
a small smile is plastered on your face as you try to greet them. they seem nice, the guys mostly. some of the girls feels suspicious for you. one of them even gave you this look then her eyes darted at heeseung’s hand resting on your waist.
the whole table is busy chatting and vibing to the music when your smile faltered. someone approaches that heeseung acknowledged right away. he stood up to greet him.
the newly arrived guy smirks dangerously showing off that damn sexy dimple of him. despite the darkness, you can exactly tell that it was the same guy you’re with last night. you can never forget those beautiful eyes. although, his hair is different today. he dyed it.
“jungwon, what’s up man?” heeseung chuckles and even exchanged some words with the guy.
your eyes remained darted at him, speechless. you can feel your palm sweating and throat slowly getting dry. heart racing in anticipation. the hot memory of you and that guy from last night vividly flashing back to your mind.
“oh, and this is y/n...” heeseung slightly caught you off guard when he introduces you.
the guy’s eyes darted at you that sent shivers through your spine. his eyes darkens a bit as he tilts his head before smirking sexily.
you cursed inwardly, wanting so bad to scream at how handsome he is. he already looked good with black hair, now that he’s blonde, its making you feel things in a different way.
“y/n, meet jungwon.” heeseung then continues, mentioning a familiar name.
last night’s party was crazy enough to get you drunk, but you’re pretty sure his name does sounded like that. you remembered asking him about his name while he’s eagerly kissing you.
“hey, y/n.” he greets casually that made you a bit disappointed.
he’s acting like as if you aren’t together last night. like as if he’s not kissing you hungrily and aggressively discarding your clothes.
feeling your ego being hurt, you decided to just go along with what’s he’s doing. if this is how he wants to play this game, you’ll play it.
“hi jungwon.” your stares remains and so is his.
he sat at the chair in front of you and the girl beside him instantly started a conversation. her intentions are clear as the water. she’s flirting with him and you almost rolled your eyes heavenly watching him reciprocating her poor attempt.
“you cool?” heeseung asks beside you while handing you another shot.
you teared your gaze off of the handsome blonde guy to glance at your friend, failing to notice how jungwon’s eyes moved towards you.
“yeah.” and you accepted the shot he was handing you.
he nods and then continues to chat with his other friend, jay.
when you glanced at the guy in front of you, he’s now smirking while the girl’s hand beside him rested on his thigh after laughing. it stayed there, making you feel a bit pissed.
you scoffed lightly before tilting your head. after your bestfriend handed you your fourth shot, the liquor are starting to get in your system making a crazy idea pop inside your head.
“do you have his number?” you catch your bestfriend’s attention and secretly pointed at jungwon.
she glanced at him before smirking at you teasingly, which you ignored. you'll just deal with her later.
she nodded and gave you his number right away.
you smirked while typing a text message for him.
to: blonde asshole
acting like you didn’t just begged to mark me last night, huh?
and below the message you attached the image of you with your breasts out in the view, full of hickeys he gave you that night before pressing the send.
he's still talking to that girl and you can still see her caressing his thigh while trying so hard to seduce him. you saw him moving his hand towards his pocket, probably to pull out his phone after receiving your text message.
“i can’t believe you’re interested on jungwon!” your head snapped at your bestfriend when she suddenly said that. thankfully, she didn’t manage to see the message you sent.
“what do you mean?”
she shrugged her shoulders off, “i thought you’ll like his brother instead.”
and even before you can process what she just said, heeseung spoke beside you.
“oh right on time, dude!” heeseung shouts that caught your attention.
and your heart sank after seeing the man walking towards your table. his eyes were cold while staring directly at you. the same eyes, nose, lips and fucking dimples. you felt sick in your stomach after seeing his black hair.
“why didn’t you arrive with your twin, dude?” heeseung asked him, but his eyes are still fixed right at you.
“i stopped by somewhere first.” he shortly replied and then claps his friend’s shoulder before walking closer to you.
you gulped, unable to process anything in your mind. he smirks before gently touching your chin to make you look up at him.
everyone in your table watching the scene unfold, but you can’t even give care towards them as you’re currently panicking inside.
“let’s talk.” and he signalled you to follow him before he started walking off.
you’re glued at your position, still unable to respond. the group seems to get over it quickly and slowly fall back to chatting, leaving you the only one who can’t recover.
the vibration from a text snapped you back to reality and you opened it unconsciously. and the realization suddenly hit you like a fucking truck.
from: blonde asshole
i think you got the wrong twin, miss.
you want to hit yourself for letting the liquor get the best of you. now you’ve done something very embarrassing.
you can’t even lift your gaze to check if he’s looking at you. just by thinking that you sent a nude picture of yourself to the wrong person makes you sick in the stomach.
realizing that staying here longer won’t do you any good, you’ve decided to get up and walk away. but even before you can stand up, another message pops out in your phone.
from: blonde asshole
want to ditch my twin instead? i can mark you better than him.

A/n: The response on Hunger is insane. Over 700 likes?! I didn't expect much beyond a few 10-20 likes, thank you for all the love 😭 This is another self indulgent fic, more personal to me because I'm chubby myself so... I'm not super proud of the pacing tbh, but it's still pretty good, in my (biased) opinion, haha. I hope you enjoy it!!! ♡

When you joined the Straw Hat crew, you didn't expect to fall in love with the blonde chef.
Actually, when you joined them, you weren't in the mindset to think about love and silly crushes. Your island had been destroyed by the Marines for a 'good cause' and despite the Straw Hats' best attempt, you were the only remaining survivor. Luffy kindly offered you a place on his crew, and you joined as an assistant to Chopper, slowly learning from him.
The first few weeks after you joined were tough for you, who had never travelled outside of your island. It took time to get used to the environmental changes along with the emotional grief of losing all your loved ones. The crew tried their best to cheer you up in their own ways, and you would forever be grateful for every one of them for at least trying, even if their methods weren't the most effective for you. It was the thought and the sentiment behind it that counted.
But what did work for you was… food. Ever since you were a child, you had loved food and it was the way you connected to life. Though you were not the greatest cook out there, you were capable of making things that were edible and quite good at times. On the ship though, you never had to cook, because Sanji would always do all the cooking. Whenever you offered to help, to take your mind off the pain you were feeling, he would kindly decline, saying that he would make you whatever you wanted.
But he couldn't. The dishes from your island were not recipes known quite to the rest of the world. Hell, even you didn't know all of them, save for some of your favourite foods that you had learnt from your mother. So you snuck in after dinner and made a dish from your hometown. It wasn't the best food you ever cooked, but it still meant something to you, because you were reminded of home.
You wrote down all the recipes you knew into a book, and kept it close. Whenever you missed your home, you would sneak into the kitchen at night and make yourself something with your wonky cooking skills that made the dish taste different every time. Still, the familiarity was enough to comfort you and let you wallow in the grief at the same time.
Until one day, you couldn't find your book.
"Nami?" You called unsurely to the navigator, who was lying on the deck under shade next to Robin. Behind them, Sanji was serving drinks. The three looked at you in question and suddenly under the scrutiny, your confidence faltered. "Um, uh.. d- did you see a journal somewhere? I can't find mine…"
"The brown one?" She asked, pushing her sunglasses up into her hair. You nodded frantically, hoping she knew. "I don't think I did. Did you check under your bed?"
"I did," you whispered, feeling the sadness wash over you again. It's not like you didn't still remember the recipes, but your memory wasn't the best. Without the book, it would be hard to remember them all.
"Don't worry, we'll find it," Nami got up and reassured you, looking concerned. "Sanji. Robin."
The two of them nodded along and then the four of you were searching for it everywhere, until Sanji had to excuse himself apologetically because he had to go cook lunch. You could only nod, trying not to get down in the dumps again over a book, but it felt a little hopeless. Until you heard Sanji shout from the kitchen. The three of you ran over to find him scolding Luffy, your journal in his hand.
"I just wanted to see what was in it!" Luffy pouted, his rubbery hands swinging around to try and get it back.
"That's an invasion of privacy, Luffy!" Sanji looked angry, but you were too relieved about the fact that you had found the book to get upset with Luffy.
"It's okay," you said, reaching forward to get the book. "It's just… recipes, Luffy. From my hometown."
There was silence in the kitchen for a few seconds and Luffy's face dropped into a serious look.
"I'm sorry," he said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "I thought… If I knew how to help you, you'd be happier."
It made you laugh softly, your heart warm at his kind intentions.
"Thank you, Captain," you smiled at him, eyes crinkling into crescent moons. "I am happy here. I just… miss my home, sometimes."
He wrapped you into a hug and Nami ruffled your hair a little. You smiled under the attention, holding the book close. Sanji for once was quiet, just staring at the book thoughtfully, though you didn't notice it then.
A few days after that event, Sanji called you to the kitchen before lunchtime. Curiously, you followed him to find… a plate of your favourite dish from your hometown. It was plated beautifully, making it look fancy and yet it still had that homey feeling to it. Sanji didn't say a word, just held out the chair for you to sit. You sat down in a daze, too focused on the smell of it lingering in the room.
It smelled like home.
And when you tasted it, you burst into tears. Because it tasted like home. It tasted exactly like your mom's. All the tears you had held back to not worry the crew were now spilling out without any end but you didn't care. Here, where only Sanji could see you, you let it all out. He didn't say anything, just placed a gentle hand on your shoulder and squeezed to let you know he's there for you. You turned around to face him, but the tears made it all blurry. Knocking your head against his stomach, you cried harder.
Sanji just held your head, carding fingers through your hair in comfort, offering you a handkerchief. That, you realised later, was the moment your feelings for Sanji began.
After that day, you became a lot happier. Somehow, without words, just eating the food that Sanji made was enough to heal your broken heart bit by bit. Sometimes, he made extra because Luffy was curious and wanted to taste it too; and then the whole crew wanted it so Sanji made a few of your dishes for dinner. In that moment, surrounded by the smell of home, around your new family, your heart finally started healing.
You started noticing Sanji everywhere after you got used to life on the Thousand Sunny. From the small things he does, to the loud expressions of love he made, everything about him seemed wonderful and warm to you. Because you knew that beneath his overt affections for all the ladies, he was an infinitely kind, caring and observant person. How were you supposed to not fall for him, when he went above and beyond for you?
And yet, for all his admissions of love, you never believed that he could truly like you back like you felt for him. You were after all, not the prettiest girl around and you knew that. You were not slim like Nami or Robin, and it's not like you absolutely hated your soft and squishy body. But you wondered if Sanji would like you even though you weren't pretty.
All that self consciousness went out the window every time you were in his presence. He never made you feel less, or ugly– in fact, the way he spoke to you always left you a blushing mess. He made you feel special, and in the moment, it would be enough. Until you saw him fawning over Nami or Robin, and then the sneaky voice in your brain would whisper quiet thoughts comparing you to them. You had no chance with him, and you knew that.
And that was fine. You could live with that, couldn't you? You had to, because wanting more than you should never ended well. All it would leave behind is rejection, hurt and awkwardness. So you pressed down the feelings and acted as normally as you could.
The moment you realised that you loved Sanji was probably a memory you would never forget. Although it was unforgettable for you, it probably wasn't particularly that unique to others. That didn't matter to you because it was a memory you cherished ultimately.
It happened when the ship docked on a peaceful little island. Everyone else was going out to enjoy their time, and you wanted to spend that time with Sanji. So, casually, you made your request.
"Sanji?" Your timid utterance of his name got an instant reaction from the chef, who straightened up and looked at you with hearts in his eyes.
"Yes, (y/n)-chan?" He asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Um, you're gonna go grocery shopping, right?" You had seen Nami complaining while handing him the money for the shopping.
"That's right," he leaned closer, almost too close but not quite into your personal bubble. Still, the proximity was enough for you to smell the mild smell of his perfume that left you a little weak in the knees. "Did you want me to get something for you, sweetheart?"
"I just," you hesitated, suddenly scared that he might realise your feelings and get disgusted. No, Sanji wasn't like that, you had to remind yourself. He would never treat you unkindly, even if he knew your feelings. "I heard you always do it alone. I thought you might enjoy some company?"
The hearts in Sanji's eyes disappeared as he stared at you like you were speaking gibberish for a few seconds. Under the intensity of that stare, you fidgeted and waited for his response.
"You're too kind, (y/n)-chan!" He finally cried, holding up your hands in his own bigger and colder ones. You flushed at the action, stammering out an actual gibberish response this time before you were whisked away by the blonde chef to town.
It felt all too much like a date to you, when you walked next to him. Sanji somehow made grocery shopping fun, or maybe that was just because of how much you liked him that anything with him was enjoyable? It didn't matter, you decided, because whichever it was, you couldn't deny that Sanji was equivalent to the sun on a cold day.
He enthusiastically showed you around, as if you were a tourist and he were a guide (when in fact, it was the first time in this town for both of you) causing you to giggle. Whenever you stopped to buy things, he would humour your curious questions on how to pick which vegetable and what cuts of which meat are the best. It felt awfully like a domestic date, one that made you smile when you imagined doing this with Sanji years down the line every week.
"And that's the last of it!" Sanji said happily, picking up the last bag. He was holding all the bags since the start, despite your insistence and now you were anxious, seeing him hold so many bags in his hands.
"Sanji, let me hold a few," you tried again, hands reaching out to take some of them. But Sanji just turned around so you couldn't reach the bags and grinned down at you.
"Nonsense, how could I let such a delicate lady hold such heavy bags?" His words made you flush in embarrassment. You were not delicate in any sense; surely, Sanji knew that too. And in spite of all his sincerity, the word just felt like it was mocking you.
"I'm… not…," you struggled to say, not wanting to argue but unable to keep it in either. With your chubby frame, no one had ever considered you as delicate.
"Let me do this for you, my love," Sanji's voice was soft and infinitely gentle, as if he was indeed holding something fragile in his hands. "I wouldn't feel good letting you carry anything when I'm more than capable."
"But Sanji!" you lightly whined, wringing your hands. "I don't feel good letting you carry all the burden either! Come on, just a few bags?"
Before Sanji could respond, you heard a scared squeak. Your brows furrowed and you looked around the marketplace, finding a man cornering a girl a few feet behind Sanji. She seemed uncomfortable and he was all in her personal space, saying something in a rough, sleazy voice that gave you shivers.
You were not a fighter, but the instinct to protect her overtook the rational part of your brain and you crossed the distance to where they were. Pushing him back, you stood in front of the girl to block her from him.
"Can't you see she's uncomfortable?" You said coldly. "Back off."
The man took an involuntary step back until his eyes fell on you. He reeked of alcohol and smoke and you felt like puking from the putrid stench coming off him but you held it together, trying to come off as more confident than you felt. His eyes roamed over your body shamelessly, and you felt dirty and uncomfortable from the action.
"Don't get in our business, fatty," he grinned, the smell of alcohol doubling the moment he opened his mouth. "Are you jealous that no one will ever give you the attention she's getting?"
The words stabbed you in the gut, even though you knew rationally that you were better off without the bad attention. That was the one perk of being conventionally average in looks– no one really looked at you, in good ways or bad. Or maybe you had just been lucky so far. But hearing him call you that, saying those words, even from someone like him, it hurt a small part of you. Before you could respond, a leg in black slacks came up and kicked the man down with such a force that everybody around paused, shocked by the sudden action.
Even you stepped back automatically, gasping when you saw that it was Sanji, still balancing all the bags perfectly while he had roundhouse kicked the man into the ground with so much force that you could see his teeth had become bloody and he was on the verge of unconsciousness.
"(Y/n)-chan doesn't need the attention of sewer rats like you," he said calmly, straightening back into position smoothly. "Her beauty only deserves the best of the best."
The sight of Sanji saying that with a calm face, his hair slightly tousled, his hands balancing the bags and his leg muscles rippling under the slacks – that image was imprinted in your heart and brain for the rest of your life. The words sent you into a shock, but when they finally processed, you couldn't deny the overwhelming realisation that crashed into you.
You love Sanji.
It wasn't just a silly crush, or something that could go away if you gave it time. The chef had unknowingly carved himself a place into your heart. He was taking over it, chamber by chamber.
"Sanji…" The word came out as a whisper, inaudible under the din of the market as people were talking about what was going on. You snapped out of it when you felt the girl behind you shuffle and you immediately squashed your thoughts down to examine them later. You turned around and asked her, "Are you okay?"
She looked very alarmed and upset, but she still shot you a grateful smile as she murmured, "Yes, thanks to you two."
"He didn't hurt you?" You asked, hands hovering over her as you looked to ensure if she was safe. A peek of crimson caught your eye when she raised her hand to rub her face. Her elbows had scraped against the rough brick wall in his tousling. "You have some scratches!"
"Oh," she turned her arms to look at the wounds, now feeling the burn after the adrenaline and fear response was receding.
"Come on, I'll treat it for you," you offered, opening your sling bag which had some emergency first aid. You usually carried it around for the members when you were off the ship, knowing that they were all too reckless to give a second thought to any wounds.
"Oh, no, no, I couldn't trouble you more!" She said, mortified but you gently shook your head, offering her a hand.
"It's no trouble," you reassured her. It took a little bit of convincing but she eventually calmed down and let you clean up the wound before you parted. Finally, you allowed yourself to look at Sanji, who immediately schooled his features so you wouldn't see the warm adoring look he was giving you the whole time. "Sanji… Are you okay too? You didn't hurt yourself, did you?"
"Do you think I'm that weak, sweetheart?" He smiled teasingly, but you felt the need to defend yourself.
"I know you are strong," you insisted, worrying your lower lip as you tried to look him straight in the eyes but kept getting flustered. "But even strong people get wounds. Just because they are strong, doesn't mean that they don't feel the pain. So tell me honestly, Sanji. Are you hurt anywhere?'
"No," he promised. "But if you're that worried, I'll let you check me all out back on the ship."
He ended that with a wink, and this time, you couldn't hold back the flush threatening to overtake your face again. Sanji couldn't help making the mood light again, but he had no idea of the effect his words had on you.
"Stupid," you weakly pawed at his arm, walking away before he could say anything. The blonde chef just laughed and followed you, face once again soft and fond as he watched you.
Sanji may have been one of the only people onboard who was oblivious to your feelings, because a few of them did figure it out after watching the way you interacted with him. The first ones to realise were Nami and Robin, who called you out on it when the three of you were lying under the shade on the sunny deck.
"Really?" Nami had scrunched her nose, eyes critically analysing Sanji as he walked (danced, really) back to the kitchens after serving drinks to the three of you.
"Really what?" You asked, too busy sipping the cool drink to notice that she had noticed the way you had warmly thanked Sanji and given him a bright smile.
"Sanji?" Nami gave you a pointed look. The name made you freeze, and you tried to play it off.
"What about him?"
"Oh, come on!" Nami threw the slice of lemon that was on her drink. You caught it before it could fall on your shirt and muttered an indignant 'hey!' that the navigator ignored. "You like him, don't you?"
The words were enough to make you hide your face in embarrassment. Robin was smiling knowingly from the other side of Nami and you felt exposed, like they had both just turned you inside out.
"I do," you whispered after the few minutes of silent mortification that Nami had spent in self satisfaction.
"Why that loser though?" She said without any real bite. You knew she wasn't actually demeaning him; it was affectionate, in the way one would talk about their sibling's lovelife.
"Because!" You whispered, eyes running everywhere to check if no one else was around to hear you. "Have you looked at him? He's literally so pretty! He is kind, caring, and so, so thoughtful and generous. Without expecting anything in return, he is always giving and giving and he makes my stomach do silly things. He has curly eyebrows, Nami! I didn't think those could look good on anyone. Hell, I know I would look ugly with them, but he makes it work! It suits him, and he's so beautiful and I'm just–"
You collapsed onto your chair, your wet fingers from the condensation on the drink glass finding purchase in the dips of your face to hide it. Just talking about him was enough to get your heart beating fast, and the mortification of what you had just spilled to the two girls made you want the ground to swallow you already.
"You really like him," Robin's soft observation made you relax. She wasn't teasing you. You turned to look at her and caught the comforting smile she was sending your way.
"I was going to say you could do better," Nami turned to face you, swinging her feet around to your side, "but after hearing all that, I think… You two are perfect for each other. Despite all his antics, he has a good heart. And you'll be good for him, because you see him as he is."
"Yeah?" You couldn't help the small flower of hope blossoming in your chest.
"Really," Nami smiled, a rare genuine smile that was usually reserved for late night talks and reassurances in down times.
"You don't think…." You trailed off, fidgeting with the hem of your top, "he won't… find me good enough?"
"Are you crazy?" Nami snorted, picking up her drink. The melted ice had made the level go up so much that it was threatening to spill any moment. "You're better than anything he could dream of. I told you, didn't I? You would be good for him. Having someone like you in his life to ground him, I think there's nothing better than that. You're one of the sweetest people I have ever met. If anyone here isn't good enough, it's him."
"Hey now," you frowned, ready to defend Sanji but hearing his voice stopped you.
"Who isn't good enough for (y/n)-chan?" His face was stuck in a weird smile, like he was forcing it. He carefully placed the plate of pastries he had brought as he continued casually despite the silence, "I don't know who we are talking about but Nami-chan is right. No one is good enough for our lovely (y/n)-chan."
"Oh, look at that!" You hurriedly switched the topic, looking at the plate he had brought. The tiny pastries were adorable and colourful, looking so delicious that it would have made your mouth water if you weren't distracted at the moment. "This looks so good, Sanji. Seriously, if you keep feeding me like this, my weight will keep increasing!"
The last line became a teasing complaint, but you didn't expect Sanji to come to the side of your chair and lean down to where you were tilted. The proximity caused your eyes to widen, the blood thundering in your ears as he carefully tucked in a stray strand of your hair behind your ear, face so soft and warm that it make your insides feel like they were vibrating.
"All the more for me to love, so I would keep winning, wouldn't I, sweetheart?"
You choked, and the need to get away from him before you did something wild like grab him and kiss him got so much that your knee accidentally shot up and into Sanji's back, pushing him forward. The chef's eyes widened at the sudden attack, but he managed to not collapse on you by quickly holding onto the sides of the chair but now you were trapped in between his arms on top of the close proximity.
It made you so weak in the knees, and there was something hot and warm curling in your gut as you stammered gibberish, feeling like you were about to faint because Sanji's chest was practically touching yours and it was all too much.
"SORRY!" He hurriedly backed off the moment he got his bearings, and for the first time since you had come onboard, you saw him have a genuinely heavily flushed face. There was a little blood starting to leak from one of his nostrils and somehow, it helped you calm down. He was just as affected as you were. The idea was enough to lessen your embarrassment by a little.
"I'm the one who's sorry, Sanji," you said remorsefully, hiding your face completely in your hands this time. "I kicked you!"
"It wasn't on purpose," he said, right hand coming up to hide the blush on his own face. "I'm sorry for… for making you uncomfortable, (y/n)-chan!"
Uncomfortable? Did Sanji have any clue just how comfortable you actually felt? The problem wasn't that you were uncomfortable in the proximity; it was that you were too comfortable, to the point that you never wanted to leave. But that would be a dead giveaway of your feelings, right?
"Okay, this is just painful to watch now," Nami sighed, jolting the two of you. You had nearly forgotten that she and Robin were right there, and they had seen everything. She looked at you unhappily, mouth set in a tight line. "How about you two get a room and make out there?"
"Nami!" You cried out. She really just gave away your crush like that?!
"Just be grateful I'm not demanding money to make up for what I just had to witness," she sniffed haughtily, swinging her legs back onto the chair and pulling down her sunglasses. "Seriously, you two, go talk shit out. Or else, knowing you, you will just be awkward around each other and that's gonna be even more painful to watch."
She wasn't totally wrong. You were planning to avoid him, possibly by jumping off the Sunny and drowning to death since you didn't know how to swim. But that wasn't really a solution and even you could admit that.
"W- What's there to talk-?" Sanji seemed a little scared, wide eyes glancing between the three of you. Nami ignored him, and you were too flustered to look him in the eyes. Nami's suggestion was essentially for you to come clean, wasn't it? But that was easier said than done. The fear of rejection and the eventual awkwardness was gripping your insides in a chokehold, and you couldn't move your feet even if you tried.
"Sanji," Robin said calmly. "Pick up (y/n) and go to the kitchen."
"Huh?" You were startled at her words. Pick you up?! No way! "No, no way, I'm too… I'm too heavy, there's no need for that!" Even as you said that, you couldn't actually bring yourself to move.
"I don't really get it," Sanji admitted, looking between the three of you as he spoke, "but I can do that. (Y/n)-chan?"
"No, Sanji–" the protests died down the moment he bent down and picked you up like you weighed nothing. Even as he walked you across the deck, you couldn't help but think that it was kind of hot just how easily he picked you up. "Sanji…"
He didn't look at you until you were in the kitchen and the door was closed behind the two of you. He walked over to the table and then carefully placed you on it, as if you were a teacup made of fine china teetering with tea. Finally, he let his clear blue eyes stare down at you, the expression on his face more vulnerable and exposed than you had ever seen on him.
"Sanji?"
"I know I made you uncomfortable," he said quietly, backing away. His hands came up to rub away the blood but it only made it spread around and you winced at seeing that. You never wanted to see any blood on Sanji, if you could help it. "I touched your… you. It wasn't my intention, I swear! I just, I wanted, I–"
He abruptly shut up, looking frustrated with himself.
"Sanji."
He didn't look up, fists clenching at his side the moment you said his name.
"Come here, Sanji," you whispered, holding out your hands to beckon him closer. His eyes flickered over your face, as if trying to gauge out what you were feeling, even as he followed through your request without a second thought. You pulled out the handkerchief he had given you long back, and wiped away the blood over his upper lip and cheeks carefully before you picked up his hand. The thumb was bloody too, so you gently held the limb in one of your hands and wiped it with the other. "You didn't make me uncomfortable, Sanji."
He stayed quiet as you continued to wipe it until it was all gone.
"Didn't I?" He said the moment you were done.
"No," you said, looking up at him. You didn't let go of the hand, though you dropped the handkerchief beside you. Somehow, holding his hand seemed to give you the courage to make the admission Nami had told you to. "I… Sanji, I like you. A lot more than I ever thought it was possible to feel towards someone. I like you so much that it physically hurts when I see you flirting with other women. I like you so much that my heart feels warm whenever you are around, and I feel so safe in your arms that I never want to leave. I like it when you are close to me. But I know that you don't like me like that, so whenever you get so close, and I can't help but want you so much, it's painful for me. I never want to let you go."
Sanji's eyes darkened with every word you spoke, a gradual change that you didn't notice at first because you were all in over your head. His hands hovered around your waist as you finished.
"Who told you?" His voice was a little hoarse, and he cleared his throat the moment he realised how desperate he sounded.
"Told me what?" You asked timidly, looking down at your lap.
"That I don't like you?" Sanji's voice was a broken whisper like yours had been. "I have never heard anything more untrue than that. All this time, I wanted you but I kept my feelings to myself. Because you deserve so much, so much more than I am, so much more than I can give. I wanted and I wanted and I felt so greedy, wanting more and more of you, more than you would let me have– I wanted anything you were ready to give, and I also wanted everything you have to give. I thought you wouldn't want someone like me, when there are so many better options around for you–"
"What?" You couldn't help but laugh. All his words were making you delirious; this had to be some wild dream you had conjured up. It didn't feel real. None of it did. "I had better options around? Sanji, I was so sure you would never look twice at me! I never felt like I was pretty enough, or good enough to get your attention and you're telling me… I had better options? That's so–"
You kept laughing, body shaking from the weight of the laughter. Sanji stared at you, unsure hands still hovering around you. His fingers twitched from holding back the urge to pull you into him.
"You are the prettiest girl I have ever seen," he mumbled. "Not good enough to get my attention? Darling, you have had all of my attention ever since I met you. No other woman could compare to you from the moment you made your place in my heart known."
"Did I really have all your attention?" You asked, letting your insecurities bubble up. Now that you were both being honest, it was better to get it all out of the way, right? "Even when you looked at the other women…"
"I never looked at them the way I did you," his words were sincere, and in that moment, they were enough. You looked up at him, and your body broke into shivers the moment you realised the heat in his eyes as he stared down at you; like you were some unique dish he was finally getting the chance to eat after years of craving it.
"I didn't want the other options, Sanji," you whispered, the volume enough for the proximity you were in. "The only one I ever wanted was you."
You held his collars and pulled him in, and it was like he finally snapped, now that he had permission. His hands immediately grasped at your sides, gently holding the soft flesh there as he kissed you. And now it was your time to give and give, while he took from you like your lips were spilling with ambrosia and he was determined to get every drop. His warm breath fanned over your lips and the goosebumps on your skin rose again, your fingers tightening around the collars of his shirt.
When he let your lips go, he was greeted with the sight of your flushed and pleasantly buzzed expression, like you were drunk on him. Seeing you like that, because of him, it was enough to get him groaning.
"So beautiful," he whispered, leaving feather light kisses all over your face. "So gorgeous. All for me. All… for me to have?"
"Yeah," you whispered, looking up at him and seeing the devastated yet over-the-moon expression on Sanji's face. Even without words, he could always just cleave into your heart and press himself within its walls like they were made to fit him, and only him. "You can be greedy. Take all you want. I'm all yours."

'SOMEONE' (AZRIEL X READER)- PART 2
Summary: You are convinced that Azriel was the one to send the note. Anxious about facing him, you lose yourself in your head but strangely, things are turning out...weird.
Warnings: Mild swearing
Tumblr media
A/N: Thankyou so much for the response on the first part you guys! It was supposed to be a one shot but due to popular demand, I wrote down a second. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit nervous about this because peer pressure haha. Really hope this meets expectations. Did my best to make it fun and playful.
Read Part-1 here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'It's hard not to pry when you're involved.' The words kept flitting through your mind , jumbling your thoughts and stirring up a butterfly party in your stomach.
You knew it was from Azriel. Who else could it be ? Not believing it at first, you tried to think of all other possibilities and came up with zero. No else could possibly know about it.
Except him.
After stewing upon the unexpected turn of events for a good couple of hours, you did something anyone else in your position would've done.
You tried to hide.
From a spymaster.
You were really setting standards in the department of intelligence.
It had all started when you were having lunch with Cass and Mor at the House of Wind. "How was your new book?" Mor asked stuffing herself with the mashed potato in front of her. "It was alright. It just felt a little flat." you stabbed at the piece of chicken on your plate.
"Why the gloomy face? Everything okay?" Cass looked at your face intently. You sat up a little straighter, forcing a small smile onto your face. "I'm great."
"Are you on something?" Your head shot towards Mor, a flabbergasted look on your face.
"What made you say that?"
"You've been acting weird since yesterday and just this morning you stared off into space with a stupid smile on your face. Now, you're gloomy. I've seen this before--"
"Oh for Mother's sake, I'm not on anything Mor." A choked laugh burst out of you at the incredulity of it.
"Is it because of the stable boy thing yesterday? Shit Y/N, we didn't know you still --"
You narrowed your eyes at Cass , daring him to finish that statement. He immediately backed off, putting up his hands in the air.
"Just a concerned friend." He said with a teasing smile.
"You guys are the worst." Soft laughter was shared between the three of you before disaster struck.
Footsteps echoed from the stairwell making your head whip towards it. Eyes widening a fraction, your brain was thrown into a whirlpool of thoughts , each one fighting for dominance over the other. You knew with absolute certainty that it was him. There was no one else in the house. You also knew the sound of his footsteps but that was a fact to be pondered upon on a different day.
Wait, he was a spymaster. Why was he making a sound in the first place?
He wants you to know. Doesn't want to catch you off guard. The still functioning part of your brain helps you out.
"Are you having a seizure?" Mor's voice registered in your head.
"No , but I might." you muttered under your breath, your body reacting before your mind could give it a command. Almost stumbling from your chair all the while trying to look as unbothered as possible, you excused yourself from the table mumbling a reason to your companions.
Exit points available. The stairwell. Your mind supplied. YOU CAN'T PASS BY HIM. DO BETTER.
The plant. - THE PLANT ?! What were you supposed to do ? Photosynthesize yourself ?!
Under the table.- Ah yes. Have a front row view to his crotch. Way to go.
Balcony.- We don't have WINGS! You screamed at yourself.
The door to your right.- Finally. A good option.
Your face must have exhibited a plethora of emotions during the internalized battle with yourself because Mor and Cass were staring at you like you had two heads.
"Y/N. Please sit down. Something is seriously wrong." Cass said rising from his chair.
"No. No. I just forgot to do something very very important. I'm going to be screwed. I just need to---"
"Have lunch. I'll help you out with whatever it is." The voice like night whispered over your skin setting off goosebumps in its wake. His scent enveloped you, taunting and teasing your senses. It almost seemed to whisper- Look at me.
So you did.
You had expected a smirk or a smile or even a twinkle in his eye. Nothing. No hint or trace of what had happened. No clue to suggest that he knew or that he was the one to send the note.
What if you were wrong? What if it wasn't him but someone else playing a joke on you?
"No it's alright. I..." You didn't get to finish the sentence as he pulled your chair back and motioned for you to sit down.
Sighing out loud you returned to your place at the table trying not to look at Azriel as he took the seat across. "What did you forget?" Cass was starting to sound suspicious. Racking your brain for a quick and believable answer, you blurted out "I have to respond to a letter. A very important one."
The double meaning of your reply hit you the moment it left your mouth. Your body betrayed you and turned your gaze towards Azriel.
Nothing. Blank as a slate.
Starting to grow frustrated, you stabbed into your chicken a little too enthusiastically.
"It's already dead." Azriel said dryly, not even bothering to look up from his food.
Mor let out a snort and thankfully started to recall a conversation she had with a friend of hers. You could feel the tension leave your body as the conversation and attention was steered away from you.
Get your shit together.
Fortunately, all of you were done eating not long after and everyone went back to their duties. Azriel hadn't said or done anything for the rest of the afternoon and you were seriously starting to doubt if you were wrong.
You made your way back to your room trying to make sense of your emotions along the way. There was a sense of relief that Azriel didn't know and yet it was tinged with the undertones of disappointment that he didn't know after all.
Did you want him to know or did you not?
You didn't know. UGH. Idiot.
Stepping into your room, you almost missed the note that caught under your foot.
Fuck. Another one.
Heart thudding painfully, you picked it up with trembling hands. It read:
Anyone is capable of falling in love with your heart. Me? I want to be the someone you give it to. -'Someone'
A/N: I did not intend to end it this way at all but here we areeee. Hope you guys enjoyed it !

Hey there!! So I have a cute request I wanted to submit if that’s okay with you?😊 It’s an Angel Dust x reader oneshot where Angel sees reader passed out on the hotel couch from helping Charlie all day with promoting the hotel. Reader and Angel aren’t together yet, but Angel has definitely developed strong feelings so far, so he can’t help but have the softest, love-dovey look on his face while staring at them😍 He’s soo tempted to just lay there and cuddle with reader, but doesn’t want to overstep (mans is learning boundaries🥰) so he decides to just get them a little more comfy (yk finding a blanket, tucking them in and all that lol). Before he leaves though, Angel can’t help but give reader a goodnight kiss on the cheek and Alastor just so happens to stroll on by while this happens😈, teasing him for being so open and vulnerable despite his reputation. Angel is embarrassed and flustered for being caught and called out, trying to deny it, but secretly knows he’s down bad💕💕
Thank you sm!!🫶🏼
Angel Dust ♡ Finding you passed out after a long day of work
Tumblr media
- ♡ You and Angel have been friends way before you even joined the hotel
- ♡ You only became closer once you did, though
- ♡ It had been a long, hard day..
- ♡ You'd been helping Charlie the whole day, making posters for the hotel, hanging them up and just going around asking demons
- ♡ Angel came home from work, groaning and rubbing his eyes in exhaustion
- ♡ He stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed you
- ♡ Passed out on the couch, managing to look cute even in your messy state
- ♡ Angel couldn't help but smile
- ♡ Taking in all your flawed glory, his face had contorted into a soft mess of love
- ♡ He felt the need to just sit down next to you, caress your head gently and cuddle with you
- ♡ He began stepping closer, but he stopped himself quickly
- ♡ He realized that your relationship was too precious to step over any of your boundaries
- ♡ Hell, Angel certainly knew more than anyone else what it felt like
- ♡ So, instead, he came up with a different idea, still ensuring that you feel comfortable
- ♡ He walked to his room, stopping for a quick moment to greet and pet Fat Nuggets
- ♡ He went back to you, pausing for a bit to take in your features
- ♡ Then he put the blanket over you, gently tucking it in, but making sure you don't wake up
- ♡ Even then, you were so deeply unconcious he wasn't sure the hotel crashing down could wake you
- ♡ Angel was just about to get back to his own room, but he couldn't help himself
- ♡ He slowly leaned close to your face, placing the softest kiss on your cheek
"Night, cutie.."
- ♡ Unbeknownst to him, a certain someone was watching the whole thing
- ♡ From the shadows, a tall figure spawned, grin as wide as ever
"My, my, Angel! Isn't that such a charming display of affection for the one you love? I would never have taught someone with a reputation such as yours could be so vulnerable.."
- ♡ Angel was caught very off-guard at Alastor's sudden appearance
- ♡ He was a blushing mess, stammering out random bullshit which Alastor clearly wasn't buying
"The one I love? Haha, please! Why would you think that?" Angel asked, trying desperately to hide his red face. Before Alastor could reply, he continued on, "What? Have you never given your best friend a kiss?"
"No, never."
- ♡ Angel left before he could say any more, dashing over to his room
- ♡ He lay down in his bed, burying his face in his pillow like a flustered mess
- ♡ He tried to deny it to everyone, but deep down he knew.
- ♡ You were the only one for him, the one he cared about most.
A/N; Hi anon! This was such a cute ask, thank you so much for requesting! It was really fun to write!

A request...
Dunno if this has been done already but A self aware Azul, Trey, and Lilia reacting to the player saying they "had a bad day but seeing them made it much better".
Let me know if this is confusing and you're free to not answer of course
Self-aware au
I do not take any responsibility for you reading this no matter which age group you are from!
WARNINGS: Yandere themes, obsessive behavior, unhealthy behavior, mentions of blood, mentions of war, death, bad cringe humor bc I haven't written for a while
Trey Clover/ Azul Ashengrotto/Lilia Vanrouge-"Seeing you made my day better!"
Tumblr media
Oh, are you alright?
The second you returned to them, Trey could tell that something was wrong with you
A bad day perhaps?
If he could talk to you he would sit you down to talk about what (or who) ruined your day (whilst secretly planning their demise but pshh)
But then you suddenly stare at the screen and drop something like that at him? Whew... I-I think he is swooning
He almost forgets that you are having a horrible time before all of this until he finally sees you having a strained expression once more before going off
Oh ok. This is fine. This is totally fine. Haha... TOTALLY FINE
Like, imagine my mans expression
He feels honored that you feel and think that way about him but at the same time...
Bro over here can't really help
He tries to be as present as possible after that
(Toatally not like a cat throwing itself on your lap for attention)
In his mind, the more present he is the better you feel
(Not like peeps play games to escape reality but sure, if Trey wants to see himself as your emotional aspirin then sure)
But perhaps his attention really helped, perhaps something good just happened that got you in a good mood
So when you finally said that seeing him made your day so much better it felt like the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds after a long storm
Well, luckily he didn't need to conspire with Draconia to get you here anymore
But then again, if what you said was true then him being with you would keep you happy all the time, right?
Oh what he does for his go-I mean his uncrowned ruler
Tumblr media
This brings back a lot of dark memories for him
And I mean that literally
His memories of these days are filled with him sitting in a dark corner of his little pot
Only with the difference that for him his ray of light was food, for you it… is whatever this is
It does surprise him though
You, the high scholar, wisest of the wise, were more human than he imagined you to be
Well, to be fair, it was easy to imagine you as that unfeeling being that hovered over all of them
Day after day did the octopus see you do whatever you came to do and then go again
Although… you always made sure to check on him whilst having that faint smile on your face
How sweet. Doesn’t make him worry any less though
Until one day you finally tell him that seeing him made your day better
Wow… how is he supposed to react to that?
His inspiration for everything he does sees him in that light
This totally won’t get to his now. Naw. I have no idea what you are talking about
Continue to tell him that. Tell him how much his presence makes you happy
And if you should look in the direction of some unfortunate NPC that unknowingly made you laugh he will see red
Interesting, his cane looks a bit red as well. The handle area should be cleaned again… why is it so sticky?
Tumblr media
Lilia is not amused
Sleep deprived, yes, but not amused
Oh why that? Well, this father decided to pray even more to you in order to cheer you up
Now, if you know anything about Lilia in this au then you also know how religious he is, so him praying even more? Uh… perhaps he gets two hours of sleep at best
You are his god so surely you hear his words, asking you why your expression is always so sad, so exhausted
STOP SHARPENING YOUR SWORD YOU OLD BAT THERE IS NO NEED TO START A HOLY WAR IN THE OVERSEERS NAME WTF MADE YOU EVEN THINK OF THAT SOLUTION??!
Anyways, if Lilia is not in a good mood, so is entire Diasomnia. He is more or less the dorms old and wise fairy grandmother who hands out advice like lollipops so when he is not in a good mood, so is nobody else
No matter what the local group of non-violent military trained guys do, they just can’t cheer up their usually oh so happy teacher and guide
Lilia reminds the NPCs of the dorm of a certain general they read about in the history books (but there is no way that could be Lilia)
Until one day he walks in like he is in a romance anime, looking up with sparkling eyes to the altar and thanking your statue for your favor
If this was any other dorm, he would have been send to the school therapist (oh yeah, they have a shrimp instead of that)
When asked by his son what happened Lilia just looks up, still with that weird look in his eyes, tells him that “I have finally been noticed by our grace”
Malleus is telling Sebek in the meantime to call for a doctor because it seems like their general just lost his last few marbles
What really happened was Lilia heads down dangling from who knows where, perhaps the cafeteria chandelier, and asking himself what could have made you so sullen the last few days
Until suddenly you zipped in, looked at him (probably once up to his knees and then down to his head whilst saying “Mhm. Looks good.”) and were like “Seeing you made my day better.”
That was the moment when Lilia lost his grip on the metal and fell face-first, thankfully it was already late so no one was present but if I got a coin every time he fell like that I would have one, which tells us how rarely that happens
How about you go to whatever NPCs that govern the other countries and warn them that there is a high low-key mad general who would start would annihilation if you so much as feel slightly sluggish
You know those people who need to hear compliments constantly so they don't go bananas? Yeah
Whoops. Seems like you complimented the uniform of Octavinelles uniforms after seeing one of their NPCs. Wonder what happened to that guy. He isn't attending his classes anymore, that's for sure

TW: brief eating out, mating press, doggy, Satoru's very cocky and mean but oddly nice in the end, breathplay, choking, hair pulling, spanking, slut calling, used whore once
You didn't mean to look. You really didn't mean to, but when you saw the bathroom door slightly ajar and heard his humming you had a moment of weakness. And you felt your thighs squish together once you took a peek inside. Darn. There he was, naked and in all of his glory. You saw the water droplets run down the dips of his trained back, god, has he always been this ripped? Your eyes trailed down to his ass...cute, you thought to yourself. Then your eyes wandered to his strong legs and as soon as you heard a groan your heart stopped. Your eyes shot up only to see him stretch his arms above his head. You sighed in relieve and totally missed the way the white haired man in front of you shot you a glance with a smirk. He'll indulge you for now. When you looked up again, he was back to flexing his huge arms. Big palms and thick fingers were massaging the shampoo in his hair. You felt your mouth go dry.
Even though Satoru was slimmer than your brother he was a bit taller, but right now he just looked so incredibly big in every sense of the word. For as long as you could remember he always towered over you. He used to tease you about it, but now you didn't feel annoyed at the height difference anymore. No, you felt weak. As your thoughts kept wandering you wished that he would turn around so you could catch a glance of his toned chest and hard abs, maybe even his-
You froze when you heard his voice, "Are you just going to stand there or will you join me?"
Huh?... What? was all you could think, when you tried to hide behind the doorframe.
"C'mon what wrong? You look likea deer caught in headlight. You didn't think I saw you staring this whole time? I even put on a show for you. Didn't you like it?", you heard foot steps come your way and as you were about to run away a naked Satoru wearing a towel, that hung so dangerously low on hips you could see his happy trail peeking out, stood in front of you grinning. "I think your face is telling me you ate that right up."
Gulp.
"Oh no I didn't see anything I just came here and was about to leave haha sorry," you lied, completely avoiding eye contact. Just as you were slowly backing away from him he grabbed your wrist keeping you in place, "Oohh-tto, hold up where ya goin', pretty girl. Can't blame ya for staring, hmm? So dirty watching your brother's best friend shower..", he mumbled pulling you closer.
"I said I'm sorry please-", he muffled your sentence with pressing his lips against yours, making you squirm in his grasp. You pulled away with a gasp.
"Satoru, what are you-?"
"I'm giving you exactly what you want. Don't lie to me. How long have you had a crush on me hm?
"Stop, It's not what you-"
Putting his other arm around your waist he pulled you into his damp body. "Then why are you blushing so hard right now~ Also, don't you think it's unfair?
what?
"You saw me naked, now's my turn.~"
-
"You're so sensitive, baby", he said between licks, curling his fingers inside your dripping cunt. "You sure you're not a virgin?"
"Mhh, stop.. I've had boys before, okay, just shut up and-"
"Those boys ever make ya cum?"
Your silence spoke volumes.
He pulled away from between your legs with a sigh, pity in his big blue eyes, "Don't worry, I'll show you how real men fuck. Fuck those boys."
Fuck those boys indeed.
Before you knew it you were on your back, legs pressed against your chest as you watched Satoru bottom out in your pussy.
"Shit- you're so tight. Baby relax, you're gonna snap my dick off if you don't."
"Can't- can't help it, you're so big, fuck.. feels good."
"Yeah? Like getting your cunt stuffed by your brother's best friend, hm?"
All you could do was whine at his words as he started moving his hips against yours. With every hit of his tip against the spongy spot inside of you your moans and mewls of his name grew in volume.
"Shh not so loud", he shushed you with his palm over your mouth, "We wouldn't want your brother finding out his little sister's being such a slut right now, yeah? Or that you were caught oogling me while showering? Hmm, want your brother to see you like this, you'd get off on that, wouldn't you? Fucking whore. He'll definitely notice if you keep being that loud."
"Noo.. don't say that please, mmhh I'm trying my best it just ah- feels so good. I'll try to be quiet it's just so hard I can't.", you whined, tears collecting at the corners of your eyes from his harsh words, as you tried to hold your legs up with shaking hands.
"I think I can help you out with that.", he whispered as he wrapped his long fingers around your neck, momentarily cutting off your airflow, which made you squeal. Eyes blown wide open.
Your panicked expression made him loosen his grip. "Shh, don't worry. I'll try to be gentle. I'll make you feel reaaal good.", with that he picked up his pace alternating between letting you breathe and choking you. He felt you gush at each squeeze of his hand. "You're so messy for me. You like being choked? You feelin' good? I'll make ya feel even better. C'mon on, all fours."
After a particularly hard squeeze he let go of your neck and pulled out of you. You sucked in a deep breath as you got up, sticking your ass out.
"Oh fuck, such a nice view. Prettiest pussy I've ever seen. And that ass, shit." He made you yelp as he spanked your ass, hard.
You were about to speak up, only to get interrupted by another mean spank, while he pushed his cock back inside your cunt. It made you arch your back impossibly more while you burried your head in the pillows below you, letting out pathetic moans.
"That's right, keep that pretty mouth shut and enjoy.", he slurred while holding your hips in place, stuffing you to the brim. He kept his relentless pace, spanking you from time to time, which only made you sob and squirm.
"You're so mean to me...", you whined into the pillows.
He felt his heart drop a bit. Oh no, did he overdo it?
His harsh thrusts turned into sensual rolls of his hips, "Shh 'm sorry baby. Cmon, I'll make it up to ya. I'll even play with your pretty little clit. See? All better now, huh?", he mused.
As he leaned forward to push his thick fingers onto your puffy clit all of your sadness faded, replaced by pure bliss. The mewls you let out made him grin.
"See, all better now hm? I'll make ya cum so hard, you'll never find someone better."
So cocky.. gaaah, but he does it so well. You'll let it slide this once.
"Ah- mmh yeah like that please~", you cried
Your words made him pick up his speed again, "Good girl. Gonna fuck you good. I got you." he slurred while kissing your back which only made your arch deeper as you squeezed him tight.
"God, you're gonna be the death of me. You're so tight and tiny down there, it's coiling around me nicely."
The way he was talking to you made you whine as you felt yourself getting close.
"'Toruu so good oh god-"
"Yeah? 'm I the best you ever had?", he questioned, cruelly slowing his fingers to get an answer out of you.
So annoying, but you indulged him. You'll say anything to cum on his cock right now.
"Yeah you're so good, the best. Only want you please, please make me cum. Need it so bad Toruuuu~"
His fingers went back to rubbing thick circles into your clit as he groaned, "Oh fuck, can't say no to you. Okay then, cum round my cock. Make a mess of me, pretty."
As soon as he uttered those words you let out a drawn out mewl, creaming around him, squeezing so tight he almost chocked on a breath
"Yeah thats a good girl, so good for me.", he praised you trough your high as your tongue lolled out and your eyes rolled in the back of your head.
Thank yous spilled out of your mouth, while he rubbed you into overstimulation. Just as you thought you couldn't take it anymore, he moved his hand from your clit to your hair, pulling your back flush against his chest
"'M gonna cum inside yeah? You're gonna take it all right?"
"YEAH PLEASE FILL ME UP SATORU!!"
"Shit", he thought to himself and with a few more thrusts he filled you up, cum already dripping down your leg.
When he pulled out, you fully expected him to just leave you there. But to your surprise he pulled you in a tight embrace, kissing the top of your head.
"You did so well. I hope I wasn't too harsh.", his voice sounded gentle and genuine.
Whoa..
"No, it's fine.. it was really hot actually. Thank you."
"Hehe", he grinned, squeezing you tight. "I know right, I'm the best."
You jabbed him in the ribs. "Don't get too cocky, you only made me cum once so far."
"Sorry, sorry can't help it if it's you." he laughed, nuzzling his nose into the crook of your neck. "Is that a challenge? Wanna see how many times I can make ya cum, no problem-"
"Y/N? Satoruuu~?", you both felt a chill run down your spines.
oh fuck.
"I hope to god you weren't just doing what I think you were~~", your brother mused.
Oh you were so dead. Both of you.

Scheiße - Luke Hughes
Tumblr media
Summary: In which Luke falls for Nico's friend despite the language barrier. Or in which Sofia dates an American boy even though she barely understands him... at first.
Content: fluff, a tiny bit of angst (sort of), implied sex but no smut, making out
also this fic is formatted a bit different! it's kinda like a timeline of Luke and Sofia's relationship!
notes: everything in italics is in swiss german. easier than having to translate everything!! this one is for all my other multilingual queens/kings :) i tried my best to represent the struggle that i felt trying to learn english, but obviously everyone's experience is going to be different. the squirrel scene is very much taken from an actual experience i had haha
Meeting
"Stop picking at your nails, Sof. Everyone is going to love you," Nico attempted to calm his best friend.
"You don't know that. They could hate me," she argued, continuing to pick at her cuticles.
"Well... I'm their captain. So, if they do anything that makes you upset..."
"Don't threaten your team for me, Neeks."
"Just trying to reassure you, love."
The Devils were having a little pre-season get together with all the players and their significant others. Nico's best friend, Sofia, had recently made the move to America in hopes to improve her English; so, naturally he had decided to bring her along to help her make some friends in New Jersey.
Nervously, she followed behind Nico as they walked onto the roof of Nicole and Jesper's building. He placed a comforting hand on her back, leading her towards a group of WAGs.
"Nico! Hi!" Nicole smiled, "And you must be Sofia! Nico talks about you all the time."
"Hi," Sofia smiled sheepishly, playing with the hem of her skirt.
"Would you like a drink?" the blonde asked.
"Oh, sure. Thank you."
"I'll be with the boys. Let me know if you need anything," Nico smiled, walking off towards a group of hollering men.
Sofia fell into a steady flow of conversation with the Devils' significant others. Well, as steady as it could be with her limited knowledge of English.
"How long have you been seeing Nico?" one of the girls asked, taking a sip from her cocktail.
Sofia choked on her drink, giggling at the idea of being with Nico. "He is my best friend. We are not toether."
"Omg! I'm so sorry," the other girl blushed.
"It is fine! No stress," Sof smiled proudly at the use of the expression that Nico had recently taught her.
"So, anyone special back in Switzerland?" Nicole questioned.
"Oh, um, no. I... too focused on work. No time," she explained.
"Omg! We could set you up with one of the single guys on the team!"
"Oh... it's okay," Sofia giggled, taking a long sip of her drink.
"Let us know if you change your mind," Nicole winked, before starting a story about something that had happened at work earlier in the week.
"Sofia! Come here!" Nico beckoned her over to where he stood with a few players.
"Coming! It was nice meeting you all," she smiled politely at the girls.
"Wait! Give me your number! I'll add you to our group chat," Simon's girlfriend exclaimed. Sofia was giddy as she typed her number into her newly found friend's phone.
"Guys, meet Sofia," Nico smiled, placing his hand on her back once again. "Sof, meet Luke, Jack, Timo, and Dawson."
"Hi," Jack smiled widely.
"Nico always talks of you guys. Nice to meet you," the girl smiled, scooting closer into Nico's side. She was not a fan of all the eyes on her at the moment.
"Nice to see you again," Timo grinned. They'd met over the summer when Nico was training.
Luke could see her shoulders untense at the sound of her native language.
"You as well. It's crazy to meet everyone Nico talks about all the time. Like, sometimes I was convinced they were all in his head," she giggled, earning a glare from her best friend.
Luke, Jack, and Dawson chuckled awkwardly, completely unaware of what the conversation in front of them was about. They could be shit talking for all they knew.
"So... what do you do for work?" Dawson asked.
"Oh, fashion photography!"
"Ever tried sports photography?"
"I'm not as good at it," she nodded.
"She's being humble. She just prefers fashion," Nico laughed. While Nico talked to the boys, Sofia couldn't help but notice that the tallest boy in the group had yet to speak to her. Did he not like her? She was trying her best. She caught his eyes for a moment, but he quickly looked down at the beer in his hands. She was upset that one of Nico's close friends didn't like her, but she couldn't win them all.
Crushing
It was the third or fourth time that Sofia had hungout with the WAGs. This time she'd invited them to have their wine night at her and Nico's apartment. The girls were sat in the living room, chatting animatedly about the upcoming season.
"I know that Simon is so excited for his rookie season! He told me that Luke is feeling the same way," Simon's girlfriend smiled.
"I- I don't think Luke likes me," Sofia spoke up, swishing her wine around in the glass.
"What?!" Nicole exclaimed, "Why do you think that?"
"He never talks to me. And when I go to stand with Neeks, he walks away."
"That's funny because Curtis told me something completely different," Reanne smiled cheekily.
"What did he say?" Sofia asked, chugging the rest of her wine, before pouring herself some more.
"That Luke has a biiiiiig crush on a certain someone."
"Ooo! Sofia!" the girls cheered.
"But... he doesn't talk to me."
"Luke has no play, girl. He's probably just wayyy too nervous to talk you cause you're so stunning."
"He thinks I'm cute?" Sofia blushed.
"Duh! Who wouldn't? Do you think he's cute?" Nicole pressed.
Sofia pressed her lips together in an attempt to hide her growing smile, "He is like... how do I say it? My..."
"Type?"
"Yes! He's my type."
"Can I tell Curtis? Maybe he can talk some sense into Luke."
"We should let them come together naturally, Reanne," Nicole giggled.
"Okay, well... next game you're talking to him. Sound good?"
Sofia nodded happily. She couldn't believe that Luke had a crush on her! She felt like a high schooler writing in her diary about the cute boy in her class.
First Date
Sofia stood in the bathroom mirror, fixing her hair for the 15th time. She hadn't gone on a date in over a year and she was shitting herself. Luke had asked her out after their most recent win against the Rangers. She hadn't exactly told Nico who were date was with, but he knew she was going on one.
"You look beautiful, Sof," Nico smiled as she walked into the kitchen.
"It's not too much?" she asked, pulling at the bottom of her top.
"Are you going to wear a jacket?"
"Yeah, my jean one."
"I think that's perfect. Where are you guys going?"
"Some pizza place. Then we're going on a walk, I think."
"Cute. How'd you meet?"
"Oh, at the Rangers game. He came up to me when I was waiting for you."
"He wasn't a Rangers fan... was he?"
"No," she giggled, "He was wearing a Devils' jersery."
"Good. Have fun! You'll be back tonight?"
"Yes, Neeks. I'm not going to his on the first date," she giggled, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"Stay safe! I love you!"
"Love you too," she grabbed her purse, blowing him one last kiss before disappearing out the door.
"Hi," Luke smiled, "I like your outfit."
"Thank you, Luke. You look nice too," she admired the way his chest looked in the blue polo shirt he was wearing.
"Pizza?"
"Pizza."
The walk to the pizza place was full of laughter. Sofia wasn't sure she'd ever felt so confident in her English as when she was around Luke. He wasn't condescending at all, helping her when she asked and waiting when she didn't.
"Have you ever played hockey?" Luke asked, cutting himself a slice of pizza.
"No. That is not really... my thing?"
Luke nodded in understanding.
"But I love watching. You are very good."
"Thanks, Sofia. I have seen the outfits you've helped Nico make. Do you think you could help me?"
"You always wear same two suits," she giggled, covering her mouth.
"Don't bully me!"
"Sorry. I would love to help you, Luke."
"I, uh, wanted to apologize for ignoring you when we first met. I was under the impression that you were with Nico, so I was trying to push my attraction away."
"Nico is like a brother. I never think of him other ways. Promise."
"It's fine, Sof. No worries. I just being dumb."
"Maybe you are always dumb, Lukey."
Luke cackled, reaching out and holding her hand across the table.
"I'll just pretend that was your lack of English and not you bullying my again."
"I would never bully you," she smirked.
First Kiss
Sofia was cuddled up into Luke's side on the sofa, his hand holding tightly onto the dip of her waist.
"I can put the German captions on," Luke offered, as he watched Sofia's face scrunch up for umpteenth time.
"But maybe that would distract you."
"It won't, babe. I'll turn them on."
Sofia blushed at the pet name. Luke grabbed the remote, clicking on the German caption option on the film they were watching.
"What the hell is Eichhörnchen?" Luke asked, butchering the pronunciation.
"Eichhörnchen?" she giggled, correcting him, "It's squirrel."
"Say that again?"
"Squirrel."
"You say it so funny. I'm sorry."
"The 'skw' sound... that is not in German. Stop hating."
"Sorry, love," Luke giggled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
Sofia looked up at him as he pulled away. She placed a gentle hand on the side of his face, leading him back down.
"What're you doing?" he whispered.
"Can we kiss?"
"Wha- what?"
"Can we kiss?" she asked just as confidently as before.
Luke nodded, running his tongue over his bottom lip. He leaned forward, capturing her top lip between his. He smiled into the kiss, ultimately breaking it. Sofia pouted, pulling him back in for more.
Wearing His Jersey/Becoming His Girlfriend
"Do a spin for me?" Luke smiled from his spot on his bed. Sofia was dressed in her panties and a jersey with 'Hughes 43' plastered on the back. She spun around giggling as he got off the bed, picking her up.
"You. Are. So. Fucking. Beautiful," he said between kisses, hands sneaking under the jersey to give her exposed ass a small squeeze. She gasped, smacking his chest.
"Jack will be home soon, I should go."
"Do you have to?" he whined, sitting down and pulling her onto his lap.
"Yes, Lukey. I'll be at the game, wearing my new jersey," she giggled, pulling him into a passionate kiss. He attempted to lay down and bring her with him, but she was quick to stand up. She walked over to the side of the bed, hopping into her jeans. The vintage bell bottoms looked amazing on her and Luke made sure to let her know, letting out a low whistle as she walked out the door.
"A Hughes' jersey?" Nico questioned after the game, pulling her into a hug.
"Thought I'd switch it up. Can't always be repping the Hischier one."
"Where'd you get it?"
"Luke let me borrow it."
"I'm glad you two have become friends. I was worrying you weren't going to befriend any of the guys."
"We're the same age. It just made sense," she shrugged.
"You never told me how that date you went on was."
"Oh, didn't really work out. He just wanted to use me to get free tickets," she lied.
"Sounds about right. You'll find someone, Sof. Don't worry."
"And if I don't?"
"You've got me," he winked, making her laugh. "Need a ride home?"
"Yes! Let me say thanks to Luke again."
"I'll meet you at the car," he smiled, kissing her cheek as he headed out.
"Look at you," Luke whispered as he pulled her into a 'friendly' hug. "Look so good in my jersey."
"Stop being so horny," she giggled, pulling away from him.
"Can't help it when my girlfriend looks sooooo fine."
"Girlfriend?"
"Sorry, I- uh, I just assumed because we spend all this time together. But if you don't want to be my girlfriend, I understand. I shouldn't have-"
"Luke."
"Yeah?"
"I'd love to be your girlfriend."
"Oh."
She pulled him into one more quick hug, before skipping off to meet Nico.
Nico Finding Out
Luke hummed as Sofia straddled his lap, running her hands through his hair. He pressed a kiss to her jaw, another on her neck, then one on her collarbone before connecting their lips again.
"I missed you," he mumbled.
"Missed you too."
The boys had been on a week long roadie, and now Sofia and Luke couldn't keep their hands off each other.
"Mmm, I love this perfume. Is it new?" he asked, kissing her neck again.
"Yeah," her voice was shaky, gasping when he nipped at her jaw.
"God, Sofia. You're perfect."
"Luke."
"Hm?"
"Kiss me."
His hands gripped her waist as their lips met in another passionate kiss. They laid down on the couch, Luke holding himself up as his girlfriend giggled below him.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing. I just missed this."
"Me too, babe."
Sofia's hands moved under his top, feeling the smooth skin of his chest. Just as Luke was going to ask if he could do the same, a new voice echoed through the apartment.
"Sofia? Who's here?"
"What?"
"Who's here? There's some white sneakers at the door. Not mine."
"Oh, Luke's here! We're watching TV."
The couple scrambled to sit up and fix their dishevled looks.
"Hey, Luke! How's it going, man?" Nico entered the living room, dapping up his teammate.
"Good, good. How're you?"
"Good. You didn't tell me he was coming over," Nico turned to his roommate.
"Yeah... spur of the moment."
"Is that a hickey?" Nico asked in German, as not to embarass Sofia.
"What? No."
"It totally is! Who gave you a hickey?"
"It's not a hickey, Nico."
"Was it him?!" Nico gasped.
"What?! No!"
"It was! You're such a shit liar! How long?"
"Beginning of the season," she sighed, finally giving in.
"This is so funny! Why didn't you tell me?!"
"I'm not a shit liar, for the record. You had no idea until now."
"Was that date with him?!"
"Nico!"
"I'm right here... if you're talking about me," Luke scratched the back of his neck.
"One second, Luke," Sofia smiled. "It was, yeah. I... I was nervous to tell you. Was worried you'd think I was using you to get with him."
"That's funny, Sof. I couldn't care less. As long as you're happy."
Sofia stood up, pulling her best friend into a tight hug.
"I'm watching you though, Rusty. Hurt her and I'll hurt you," Nico threatened, heading to his bedroom.
"He knows?!" Luke gasped.
Guess Sofia had some explaining to do.

haha i just finished my secret santa(s) event and now making it about the twst freshies!! for those who don't know what it is, it's a secret gift giving game. usually it is done with your irl friends, however you can host an online session with artists/writers :]
yuu is the one hosting for the festivities and approaching winter break holiday coming up. christmas probably doesn't exist in twst but in yuu's world it did, so they're bringing it over to celebrate with the other first years!! (i mean winter break does exist so they're utilizing that)
read more below !! vv
of course, none of the first years have ever heard of this game. once yuu explains the rules of the game, the freshies are interested to see what the others are going to get for them. is it going to be awful? or is it going to be really good and they can't be outdone like that? unfortunately grim and yuu are too broke to participate so they'll (read: yuu) be organizers and handle any questions or arising situations.
after writing everyone's names, shuffling it, and handing each slip of paper one by one, it's mainly 2 types of reactions: obvious or poker-faced. yuu quickly gets their attention to organize the time and to prevent the others from peeking into each other's paper; they settle on giving gifts before they are whisked off to winter break, back in their own homes.
minor issue: they forgot to impose a budget. oh well, it was a minimum spending budget anyway.
fast forward to a day before everyone's scheduled to leave through the darkness mirror, and yuu hears a knock on the door. sebek is the first to arrive, followed with ortho and jack right on time, and epel a mere moment later. ace and deuce arrive a little bit late.
ramshackle's not entirely too festive in yuu's opinion, but with DIY crafts, it's the best they and grim can do. yuu notices how some presents are wrapped nicely while others... there certainly was an attempt! it's endearing to see the effort put into it though.
and without further ado, grim decides to pick on someone to make them go first. a few laughing, scuffles, and a lot of unwrapping presents later, the freshies all present what they got!
ace -> limited queen of hearts collector's edition card deck along with the regular edition (from ortho) ace was shocked because he tried to get his hands on it before but failed and gave up
deuce -> crochet bunny and chick (from sebek) deuce thought of it as him and his mom and nearly teared up
jack -> a mountain load of apple-pear granola bars + its recipe (from epel) jack immediately unwrapped a bar to eat it in literally two chomps
epel -> high quality applewood roasted beef jerky in different flavors (from jack) epel was fighting demons to not rip into it right there and then
ortho -> intriquitely designed clock (from deuce) ortho got curious of its mechanics and detailing and got analyzing
sebek -> warm customized pj set + bathrobe (from ace) sebek really enjoyed the set's texture, quite a luxury
yuu's really happy for the 1st years, but they all surprise yuu back with presents of their own! they gifted yuu something similar to their own giftees.
Ace -> customized pj set + throw blanket (where he got yuu's measurements is a mystery) (he asked rook)
deuce -> working clock that doesn't require much maintenance and doesn't break often
Jack -> a lot of non-perishable food
epel -> a harveston cookbook, boxes of apples, and a handful of apple-pear granola bars
ortho -> straight up appliances like a toaster, microwave, heater, etc.
sebek -> crochet plushies--mainly a cat, hen, and mouse. (cat for grim, hen because my yuu's named chicken in the game, and mouse for mickey (he doesnt know))
incredibly touched, yuu is happy that they thought of them while going shopping. they weren't even aware the freshies would do this! at ramshackle, there's nothing but fun festivities and the holiday spirit (not the ramshackle ghosts)!

Hi! Hello! I was wondering if you wrote any platonic hecs in twst? If you do, can you write gn!mc always finding a away to mention/talk about her home world? Maybe add a little bit of homesickness for angst👀.
Platonic hcs with the first years pls:>
Btw I really love you writing style!♡
AAAA oh my gosh thank you so much! I have no idea what im really doing aha...
Absolutely!!! here's a key:
Epel Ace Deuce Sebek Jack You
First year friend group + Reader who talks about home
They love you
they REALLY do
But this is excessive.
"Back at the farm we used to drink hot cider after a long day out in the snow, actually one time we-" "Heh.. like how my mom and I used to..." "Used to what?" "Oh its nothing... Just a tradition. We'd get together every Tuesday and go for bubble tea" "Oh..."
Epel understands feeling far from home, and he wants to try and relate with you but he doesn't know about half the stuff you're saying.
"hahah I got a higher score than you this time. Mayeb you shoulda studied a bit harder like lil ol me~" "Shut up Ace! It's a difference of like... two points!" "Two more points than you!" "oh you-" "My friends and I used to compare scores all the time, she always asked for help studying but.. haha she always got better grades than me."
They feel SO awkward when this happens
Deuce almost feels like he's showing off in some kind of way. He wants to be an honor student AND a good friend to you, so he's trying to creatre new memories with you, he's just having some trouble.
"Hey! I uh- I learned out to make one of Trey's tart! The one from the unbirthday party you liked so much?" "Oh thank you Deuce! It's kind of funny actually-" oh no,,, "My sibling and I used to bake for each other to say sorry."
Ace on the other hand is curious, but he kind of wishes you could be with the group sometimes.
"And then Lucius was like-- On top of Deuce- get this- while he was STILL sleeping" "No way..!" "Seriously?" "Hah- how pathetic, I NEVER fall asleep in Trein's... admittedly dull, lessons." "I used to have a dog, he could sleep anywhere"
And suddenly, it's quiet again...
Jack tries to keep your mind off things
He takes you out on relatively silent runs, he invites you to track meets, you can join or just watch him and Deuce! You've been looking a little down recently so, this makes sens to Jack, Deuce enjoys having you watch him run too, his friends give him extra motivation to beat his last personal best!
But... now you're crying?
Ohnowhatdoido.jpeg
Ace, Epel, and Sebek are on their way too, they wanted to do something nice for you and suprise you and -oh no...
They drop everything.
Your friends rush toward you, maybe you're hurt? you like... NEVER cry around them.
And suprisingly, Sebek can get you through the worst of it
"You're sad. and far from home. and that is hard. Especially for a pu ny huma-" "Sebek!!" "Right, uh... But we are here with you now. And we care for you."
"You're our best friend, I don't think anyone would be 'round here if it weren't for you."
"I don't feel as alone, riding solo just... wasnt it."
"'Sides, class isnt nearly as fun without you in it?"
"We really care about you, Prefect. You're our friend."
They gather around you, peacefully letting you cry after they let you know how muhc you mean to them.
"I just... I miss home so much..!"

Congrats on the conclusion of bbts!! I read it the whole way through in like two days and loved it! I'm so here for the Drama, but I appreciate that the conflict came more from the situation they found themselves in over questionable choices that they made. They were honest with each other and it's a nice take, and the cards still would have fallen the way they did if things were a little different, and they still had the strong connection needed to make everything right in the end.
Question: is there a translation for the Portuguese attached anywhere to the fic? I was hoping it would be in the end notes for the chapter and sadly my meager Spanish is not doing enough heavy lifting to make it, haha. Love your writing!
thank you! i’m so glad you enjoyed and that the flavor of misunderstanding worked for you. they’re so smart and young and trying their best and they got there in the end.
re: translation: i did not attach a translation to the fic! happy to share it here though. the bolded dialogue below is what i shared with @tigerjpg, who not only translated it but also guest stars in this scene as the unimpressed churro truck vendor.
The smell of cinnamon and fried dough hangs in the air, warming it, and when they reach the window the employee is loading churros into a paper bag.
“The usual, right?” they ask. They’re young, short-haired, cheeks and neck flushed from the heat of the fryer inside the truck. Kon recognizes them from the last time he was here with Clark; they’d spoken rapid-fire Portuguese to Kon like they were testing to see if Superman being a polyglot was just a fluke, and seemed pleased when Kon answered in kind. (He didn’t tell them that he wasn’t actually like Superman in this regard—that Clark mastered language by learning at high speed, but he still learned, while Kon had his language settings pre-loaded before he opened his eyes. That Kon had overused certain phrases he picked up from TV his first few months, English still shaped strangely on his tongue as he tried to make the words feel like his. But at least having a few thousand Duolingo owls in his brain made for a good party trick sometimes.)
“Yes, please,” Kon says now as they set the bag on the counter. “Sorry if we kept you late.”
“Barely,” they tell him, waving away his concern with one hand and shaking open a second bag with the other. “Anyway, we get bonus overtime if one of you shows up, so you’re basically doing me a favor.”
Well, nice to know eating churros can count toward his good deed tally, if they really get a bonus when a super swings by. Speaking of— “Oh,” Kon says, rummaging through his thigh pouch. Clark always leaves a little tip in the jar. Kon usually carries an assortment of currencies—Robin’s idea for standard mission ancillary supplies—but, damn, he left that billfold at the Tower a few nights ago. All he has are a few US $20s and the Titans emergency card. He holds up the bills. “Can I give you these?”
The employee raises an eyebrow. “Your boyfriend already tipped.”
Kon blinks. He hadn’t seen Tim move, but there is indeed a fresh hundred-euro note in the tip jar. Kon and the employee both turn to Tim, who is very intently studying the chalkboard menu on the side of the truck.
“Did you just—have a hundred Euros on you?” Kon asks.
Tim shrugs. “Just in case.”
“In case what?”
Now Tim does look sideways at him. “In case a teenage superhero decides to take me on a spontaneous trans-Atlantic churro run, obviously.”
Kon feels like he should be boggling over the rich people-ness of it all, but he’s a bit distracted by the deepening flush on Tim’s cheeks. Also distracted by boyfriend, and hoping Tim doesn’t know a word of Portuguese, while at the same time kind of hoping he does.
“What’s his deal?” the employee asks Kon.
“He’s, uh, American,” Kon says.
They raise their other eyebrow.
“And rich,” Kon adds.
“Ah.”

"I'll see you around?"
charlie dalton x shy!reader
not requested I just thought this would be cute!

Tumblr media
you were so excited when your brother first got accepted into welton! you had gotten him a little gift and everything but it was also be different at home not to have him there again.
but you have gotten used to it one year you can get used to it another I guess.
and you definitely didn't want to disappoint anyone or even dissapoint neil if you brought it up so you closed it off in your mind.
the ceremony for getting into the school again was borringgg. you had brought a little book to read at least since you were hidden from people in front and your parents wouldn't see since your at the end next to Neil.
I tried to focus the best I could at first but it got badly boring like especially boring with all the talking and like initiatives I guess.
but you wouldn't miss it for the world so as long as you were next to neil I wouldn't think he'd mind.
after the ceremony was over first off I was glad and second I could finally get to see neils new little room.
so after my parents talked to teachers and stuff I made sure he brought me. I know it doesn't seem as exciting but it was for me at least. maybe I could leave him a note or something on his desk.
-
"come on neil!" I say walking through the halls with him slightly behind me. "I'm coming I said!" he says running a little to catch up.
"well your being sloww" "how about a race then?" I contemplated it for a millisecond before he counted to three and left me.
"neil thats no fair!" I say running after him in the halls.
"and I still caught up haha!" I say as he's panting by the doorway. "no you did track so that's technically cheating" he says shrugging his shoulders before walking in.
"it's my boring room that I always have why you wanna see it now?" he asked messing with his stuff in his suitcase.
"I don't know! I just realized I've never seen it before yknow?" I say looking out the window out at the fall leaves on the ground and the dead trees ready to grow for next year.
a boy walked in behind me and supposedly he was neils roommate? I don't know but he was setting up there on the bed so I got out of the way for him and stood by the doorway.
he started talking to todd? I think that was his name and neil introduced me.
"hello its nice to meet you" I said quietly and smiled lightly to be nice and he returned it back before turning around to set up.
I could tell he was nervous I just couldn't put my finger on why. maybe he was new. or scared or something I don't know.
I was lost in my train of thoughts when I heard commotion come from around the hallway corner.
it was a big group of boys and they all squeezed into here? like out of all rooms this one? probably yeah since they're probably neils friends. duh.
and by the way they all laughed and made themselves comfortable it proved my point right. they were his friends.
I wonder why I've never met or noticed them before..
"y/n?" neils voice interrupted my thoughts and I suddenly had all eyes on me? I could tell I turned a faint pink color because my cheeks were slightly hot.
"hm? hi" I say with an embarrassingly small wave and bit my lip to distract myself, or rather try to distract myself from all the eyes.
some of them had cigarettes but quickly put them out when someone came in.
"neil could I speak to you? " father said in his tone. neil left and all that was left was me and these random boys I don't even know.
"so what do you like to do?" one of them asks and I looked over to identify which one but I didn't really know since again I wasn't paying attention.
"over here sweet cheeks " I hear the same voice come from the bed and I see him just laying there.
"oh um I like to read I guess.. not much after that" I say fiddling with my fingers while looking anywhere else. I wasn't really good with eye contact.
"so your like meeks here, geeky?" he asked and meeks or whatever his name is punched his shoulder.
"maybe don't scare her off?" he said and then introduced himself.
"I'm Steven meeks." he said handing out a hand for me to shake.
"this is charlie dalton" he pointed to the boy talking to me earlier on the bed.
"this is Knox overstreet" he kept going and going and I couldn't even remember the last name he said! for some reason charlies just stuck though.
"oh well it's nice to meet you all. I'm neils sister" I say quietly but making sure they can hear me.
"really? I never knew he had a sister?" I hear from someone in the room. "idiot he told us he had a sister!" I hear someone else from the room and laugh a little quietly.
neil came back in and told me father has to go so obviously I have to go with him.
"bye neil I hope you have as good time as you can have here in this.. hell" I say giving him a smile and light hug.
"thanks that's really heartwarming" he says sarcastically and I walk away trying to find my way out of here.
it seems like endless hallways and doors! wait I probably shouldn't be going through random doors. well father and mother left me so if I take long they'll get mad. or father will at least.
I walk and walk for like an hour it feels like! Definite exaggeration, probably been like two minutes.
I see one of neils friends and I recognized it as charlie. he's walking my way so I consider asking him where the lot is when he walks by.
"hey um charlie? is it? where the parking lot?" I ask and he smiles. "I can lead you there?" he asks and I just agree seeming it would be better than directions.
as we met the door I said thank you before going to leave "hey I know your neils sister and stuff but would you wanna go out sometime? like on the weekends or something?" he asked sheepishly.
"oh. I would love to." I say with a shy smile. "do you have neils house number? because if you do you could just call me from there and say its neil or something and my parents wouldn't say anything about it?"
"I'm pretty sure I do. if not I'll just ask him." he said fumbling with his collar trying to fix it.
I step forward and adjust it for him quickly before smiling awkwardly and stepping back.
"so I'll see you around?" I ask reaching for the door. "yeah yeah I'll see you." he says and I smile before turning around and walking out.
hii just something I got inspo from and I feel like this shows my real writing style and I just wanted to do something cute like this!

hi! ive been a big fan of your work for a while now, and i was just wondering if you have any tips or anything for selling merch online? :>
hi anon! so you want to be a con artist huh 👁👁 ...
Tumblr media
^ a real con artist..
i’m not sure if you wanted online specific tips or general merch tips, but i compiled a bit of both! (also not sure if you're a beginner to art in general, there's a difference between a more experienced artist doing merch for the first time + beginner artists trying merch for the first time bc the risks involved are different)
i wrote more on the subject but i cut some out because it seemed too long.. and i tend to ramble ^__T it's hard to answer questions like these because they're so generalized, but if you had any more specific questions feel free to send another ask!

general tips for beginners(?)
merch can be fun, and it is! but in the end always remind yourself you're running a business, and it's real money you're going to be spending. it's good to take risks (on things like, new product types if you think your art is ready for it, or less popular series/more experimental designs, etc.) as you learn a lot from them, but always think over financial decisions carefully at the same time.
what helped me grow a lot as both a merch artist (and as a general artist) over 10 years is - a lot of reflection. and i mean a LOT of it. in terms of art in general i don't personally do a lot of studies (which is probably my downfall and i need to get back to it) but i think im pretty observant and introspective which helps me improve a lot. i often write my silly little blog posts on tumblr, I'll write notes on my phone if i have a train of thought i need to get down quickly.
i also often discuss merch things with friends and it really helps to get varying perspectives. (though i admit i should really share wips more, i used to but not as much anymore. blame the working life haha, not as many people have time to discuss non-work art anymore ;_;). all of these things keep me on my toes and weigh my strengths and weaknesses. if anyone is interested i could write more on the specific topics i reflect on after every con/shop opening.
stick to the tried and true 5-10 copies per design for beginners! this range sounds too little, but don't forget the big picture as well... you'll likely also have multiple different designs, across different product types.
e.g. 5 copies x 4 characters/designs, and let's say you do this for every product type (e.g. postcards, stickers, charms), 5 x 4 x 3 = 60 individual pieces of merch. that's a pretty solid number for a first timer!
i also personally print 5-10 copies of designs im doing for a test print run, or for characters that don't seem particularly popular.
15 is the average amount for me for a short run product (1 con season)
i certainly reprint often + go higher sometimes if i dont mind the product being in my catalogue for years.
15 is not too many in case the design is unpopular and doesn't sell, and it's also not too little that it won't be enough sales to break even.
promo images & taking photos (online specific)
i'm not a professional photographer and these photos might be absolute ass to some people. i will accept that, and honestly id agree with you. this is just my advice for straightforward, simple photos.
good quality and clear photos are best. it's great fun to use props in photos, and they can certainly turn your photos from plain to impressive. but it's easy to get carried away with props and fancy scrapbook paper imo, and i prefer to let the artwork speak for itself. honestly keeping it simple can be the best option sometimes. i used to take a lot more photos back in 2022 when i had less new products, but nowadays i find that i have too many products to take photos of, so i prefer to just keep my photos simple with a white piece of paper as my backdrop. i just. shrimply cannot be bothered taking out all of the props anymore...
Tumblr media
above: the backdrop in this photo is bad, it's distracting and takes away from the artwork. (fe charms from 2016)

this are photos taken on a sunny day.
if you don't have a good phone camera (mine is ~5 years old), ive found that taking photos on a sunny day, either inside or outside, work great for me, as it shows off the natural colour of your product best. i either take it to the garden or i like to find a patch of sunlight filtering through the window. be wary of glare or too much light reflecting on your merch in photos though, because it can be distracting and take away from visibility on the product. but i can understand if a bit of glare ends up on one's finalized merch photos.

this is an example of utilizing light at a certain angle to show off the holographic film on this charm.

sunny photo vs cloudy photo.
taking photos inside on a cloudy day during daylight hours is also a popular option, especially if you live in an area where there isn't much direct sunlight/cloudy season, but for me personally i find cloudy day photos come out a bit dull and do take a bit of colour correcting. all of my cloudy day photos are tweaked and i find the colours to be a bit off from the original products, but that's just how it is with taking photos i guess.

because i don't have a great phone camera, my personal alternative is to make graphics! i just think of it as a collage to use fun textures and PNGs! im obviously not a professional, and these probably look very bad in a professional's eye. but i think it's fun. i like to incorporate the aesthetic or visual style of the series into the graphic if i do make em. ^_^
store platform
each one has their pros and cons. many store platforms have trial periods/free plans for people to try out.
bigcartel is what i use and i'm familiar with, and i would honestly recommend it. (i'm too lazy to move or try another platform right now...) for big store openings ill pay for a month or two of the basic $15 plan. ill use the free gold plan on bigcartel if im only planning to open my store for a limited time and don't want to commit to a full monthly plan.
storenvy: i've used storenvy from about 2014-16. i moved from storenvy for issues such as charging customers fees for purchasing from storenvy's marketplace page (and not from your actual personalized storefront) and urging me to use stripe even though it wasn't supported in canada at that time. im not sure if theyve fixed these issues but they were pervasive issues at the time that honestly forced me to quit. it also has a kind of outdated UI (e.g. can't zoom into pics on mobile?).
i think storenvy is a very easy to use platform for beginners because it's very basic! but i wouldn't recommend it if you have a great number of products, or if you're looking for more advanced features.
tictail isn't available anymore, i couldn't recommend it for that reason. i used it from around 2016-18.
i don't have any experience on shopify or etsy. shopify i heard is great because of all of the neat features you can implement, which you can use to really make your store yours. etsy has a huge marketplace which helps discoverability, but i have also heard there are many fees, so a lot of artists unfortunately make their prices a bit higher on etsy.
ecwid is also one that i've heard pop up. some also host shops on weebly or squarespace.
shipping
if you don't already have a kitchen scale, it's a good idea to get one if you think you'll be using it a lot to weigh packages! a postage scale is probably better. i just have a kitchen scale because it's cheap. as long as the measurements are precise (don't use a bathroom scale with a dial like me when i started out lmao).
thermal labels are also a good investment if you think youll need em!! i actually don't personally use them, because i have way too much hand-me-down stacks of paper in my home, so i don't see the need to make an extra investment. the downside to printing shipping labels on paper is taking the time to cut and stick them on packages.
i'm from canada (surprising the amount of people who think im from the US T__T) so these tips will be canadian specific, but you can hopefully get the gist.
when i was starting out, i used canada post (usps is the american equivalent) to send out store orders. however shipping labels from your govt post office can be pricey. which is why it's a good option to join their small business program if they have one, where you'll receive discounts on shipping labels. i don't use canada post shipping anymore, but i will use them for countries that my shipping agent doesn't ship to.
also take advantage of their free shipping tuesdays for domestic packages in october!! i believe you can receive 2 free labels per tuesday, up to 4 or 5 tuesdays for the entire month = 8-10 free labels in october.
next step is shipping agents!! if you live close to a chitchats or stallion express facility, they're great, and they usually provide tracking on shipping by default. in my opinion, tracking on orders is a MUST, so customers can have peace of mind! (minus like sticker-only shipping because that could be sent with postage stamps)
they also do home pickup if you have a bunch of packages in bulk/can't get to a facility. i believe americans have pirate ship.
you print and stick on your shipping labels at home, then you just travel to the shipping facility and throw your packages in the right bins (e.g. domestic, US, international). that's it! easy as pie!
i personally use chitchats because that is closer to me. i had heard stallion provides better rates for international shipping, which i'll have to look at at a later date.
most of my orders come from the US and canada. (funnily enough it is unfortunately cheaper to send packages from canada to USA, than it is for me to send packages within canada.) international orders are a bit of a pain, and you will need to know tariff codes for your product types (e.g. prints have a diff code than buttons) while writing the customs form. people in some countries will get taxed on all imported packages (e.g. packages marked as "sold goods" and not "gifts"). an alternative to this is to use etsy, so that customers can pre-pay for the tariffs before the order is processed. this is something i'll also look into for the future.
posting
wow now you're now done organizing your shop and promo images and you're ready to post! a good strategy is to post across multiple platforms to see what sticks. it takes effort and time but it can have a solid turnout! (i forget sometimes, don't be like me)
i don't know if this is true, but a lot of keywords words such as "shop", "store", "link" and etc. are apparently suppressed on social media (particularly twitter). don't take my word for it however.
shop posts don't generally do as well as regular art posts for most artists. but disregarding censored words for a second, it can also be attributed to psychological reasons, generally people don't like to be advertised to. (e.g. tumblr doesn't have an algorithm and shop posts usually dont do as well here either. tumblr users are just not receptive to clicking on links apparently).
personally, writing alternate terms like "sh0p" just isn't for me, but no shade though, bc i do understand workarounds are hard and everyone needs to make a living somehow. ill instead use words like, "leftovers are in" or "new items are up!" something more vague, but with the accompaniment of merch images, will still be clear to people that it's a shop update.
sharing your shop promo posts in artist alley discord servers also help a lot, especially if you don't know too many artists when starting out. they're a great resource and community full of passionate individuals who will boost your art. if you're not familiar with them, you can find some public ones on google or maybe even artist communities on reddit. a big one is Artist Alley Network International.
if there are some topics you think i've missed, feel free to send em over to my inbox!! ill also think more about this in the coming days and edit this post as i see fit 🫡
