you ever think about well.. better than the alternative being a wade song? like,, guy who thinks he's broken wanting to be a good father and someone who can be loved.. like it's him isn't it?

First. This is my 1001th post, and Im up to 506 followers! Thank you, everyone, for everything!

Secondly- Congrats. You made me cry. I litsened to this and thought about it very deeply. Its something thats always resonated with me becuse I KNOW the voices in his head are constantly having anxiety on whether or not Ellie is going to get herititary cancer or not and itll he all his fault. If she'll get herititary mental illness. He worries if HIS own mental illness is going to prevent him from being a father. He spirals in so much worry that shes going to end up thinking hes ugly or gross. That she won't want him as a father, that she would be better off as someone elses kid. But BY GOD if ANYONE tries to take this little girl from his custody theyre going to have to pry her from his cold dead, collared hands.

I actually had a sad idea of Logan helping Wade get his daughter back because they claimed he was a danger to her and that the place they live is unsafe for her. It makes Wade insane. Like actually nuts. It's like he just.. breaks. There's no sympathy, no joking around, constantly crying in pain, no warnings, just plain, quick, silent murder. In this fic I actually had the idea of them getting married "Just to get ellie back" because Logan (as a room mate) can't stand the sight of him absolutely loosing his last purpose of living. So he adopts Ellie legally and shares custody of her, so now hes also her legal guardian and caretaker. "Supervises Wade with his daughter" kind of position and yet he doesn't. Theres no point. He knows Ellie is extremely safe and yes they need to move to a better home, Wade at least wants to live again now that he has Ellie..

The guy holds her so tight every night and plays with her all the spare time he has. Even when hes exhasuted and bloody from work, he still makes time for her. Sure, hes falling asleep at tea parties but at least hes present.

At the time Logan was a single dad of Laura and Gabby too so when they got court house hitched, they didn't tell the girls since yk "Its not like that"

But eventually it DOES become like that and they both have a happy little family of 3 crazy little girls, their crazy dad, and their even crazier papa. Oh and their puppy puppins.

Halt O'Carrick Playlist Part 4:

It's continuning on with more songs, and more Queen. Because I am very biased about that band. I am currently litsening to their new collectors edition album right now while writing this. But whatever. Moving on:

You're My Bestfriend by Queen: More Queen :) This song reminds me of Halt and Crowley. Which makes since. Even though the song was originally written for John Deacon's wife, it works better with Crowley and Halt rather than Pauline and Halt. Because I prefer Cralt of Haltine. Oh, you're the best friend that I ever had. I've been with you such a long time, you're my sunshine and I want you to know that my feelings are true. I really love you. Oh, you're my best friend. Things Halt one hundred percent feels but is also one hundred percent never going to say them outloud. Not in a million years.

I'll Be There For You by The Rembrandts: Yes, the F.R.I.E.N.D.S theme tune. This also reminds me of Halt and Crowley. And Halt and Will. And Halt and literally everyone in the entire series that he is protective of. Which is pretty much everyone. This song more reminds me of the all the characters as entire friend group. Well, obviously not all the characters. Like Moragarath and the other villains. But you know what I mean. They are a chaotic friend group and they will always help each other like the chaotic friends that they are.

Friends Will Be Friends by Queen: I kind of feel like I've already done this one. But whatever. More friendship. More Queen. There will be a lot of Queen this time round. The reason for this should be fairly obvious as to why it reminds me of Halt and his should be husband, so I'm not gonna say anymore. Except this we can rule Pauline out of this one, unless you like Craltine, because this was not written for John Deacon's wife. It was just for friends in general. Random side note: Halt and Crowley are gay.

We Are The Champions by Queen: Not done with this band yet. There is just so may good and powerful songs. Sue me. I DON'T. CARE. We Are The Champions is once again another song that fits well with most of the characters, mainly as one big badass fighting group. Pretty obvious as to why. I can't be bothered to explain why. But there is a line in the chorus I would love to bring your attention to: And we'll keep on fighting till the end. Powerful shit right there.

Spread Your Wings by Queen: We're not done yet. This song might more apply to Will actually but whatever. It can still relate to Halt pretty well, with just some changes. The songs about a boy who wants to get away from where he is now to be doing something else. Kind of how Halt didn't want to be king, and didn't want to die, so he left Hibernia for Araluen adn became a ranger. The only difference is that the boy in the song is working at a bar, lives in a hotel room, and is poor and is basically a nothing. The exact opposite of what Halt was. Also the boys name is Sammy.

Bring Me To Life by Evanescence: Emo song. Emo boy. I don't really know what else to say to this. This song could kind of relate to where Halt was most likely feeling depressed, at least a little bit. Like when he had murder attempts against him from his own bloody brother, or when Pritchard died. I don't have anything else to say but emo.

Do I Wanna Know? by The Arctic Monkeys: I dunno. It just reminds me of him. I think this is a song he would maybe sort of like in a modern AU. Like I've said, I think he would actually like some modern stuff, especially since it sounds a lot better than medieval stuff and its all different varities and genres.

Centuries by Fall Out Boy: This is another one that should be pretty self explanatory. I've seen other people say that this song reminds them of RA. Again, this song can relate to most of the characters. Probably more closer to being a Will, Horace, Gilan and Cassandra song. But still relates to everyone really.

Always by Bon Jovi: Again, don't know why. Again, another song that I think Halt would like. The songs about loving and being there for someone always. For some reason whenever I hear it and I think about Halt, I don't think about him being there for Will or Crowley or Pauline, or any of those characters. I think about him and Caitlyn. Even though this is supposed to be a love song, and Caitlyn's Halt's sister which would make it weird, I don't think about it as a love song. I just think about people caring about each other very much. Platonically.

21 Guns by Green Day: And lets end it off with yet another song I don't have a real reason for, other than the feel and sound of th esong, and I think Halt would kind of like it. I guess if you really look deep into the lyrics you could probably find a better reasoning, but I'm too lazy, someone else can do it.

Some lyrics make sense and some others are very confusing.

Here is my interpretation so far:

This a song about Shibusawa;

First 2 lines -> the ‘tail’ might be a reference to the draconic form of his power. This defines him as a foul character and we learn how ‘his’ death changed him.

Next 4 lines -> I couldn’t find neither a translation for crestortia nor words that would sound similar so I left it this way. “For a long time he wandered alone, but life isn’t eternal”. (I don’t know how these relate to Shibusawa. It could be about these years he roamed alone while looking for “the one”).

Next 6 lines -> (the translation was a nightmare to work on here so take it with a big grain of salt) “guardian who clothes the beast” could be refering to 2 things. 

Case 1: the guardian is Shibusawa and the Beast is Atsushi

In this case it would refer to when Shibusawa forced the White Tiger out of Atsushi when he was young; “to cloth” could mean the method employed to this end

Case 2: the guardian is Shibusawa and the Beast is his power

Here the guardian means how Shibusawa remembers how he used to be; this memory is what allows him to hide (clothe) his real form (no longer human ;p )

I don’t know what “the horn” refers to. The only one I can think of is the one on Shibusawa’s head at the end of DA (in his true form). “into pieces” = when Shibusawa met his end. These lines are probably mistranslated, which is why i have some troubles interpreting them ^^’.

Next 4 lines -> (I really like that part; it’s the only part of the song that is sung with a soft voice, compared to the opera diva singing the rest; almost as if to tell a secret, which is an amplification of the whisper previously heard ^^) 3 lines about the author (originator) being dead as a way to illustrate Shibusawa realizing that he is dead, and the last one to transition to the next part

Next 4 lines -> there are people in the city trying to stop him (the ADA). Not sure what the “mind pleading” refers to.

“Why now” -> I think that ‘why’ could be a reference to the memory of his death

Next 3 lines -> Not sure what “nestiio/nestoii” means. Ggl translated it as a “nest” but it isn’t the correct latin word.

This was quite a difficult one, but I think Xiao would share a lot of similarities with you. Like personal space and that sort of stuff, so he wouldn’t be clingy.

He would also take some time to develop any romantic feeling for you, given his past and his line of work. Romantic relationships don’t really fall into his category.

He loves your caring nature and how your laidback. He can’t handle people that are too loud and can get easily frustrated, so you would be one of the only people he could tolerate. Being around you makes him feel like there’s someone who is like him, and understands him.

He wouldn’t be faxed by your cold demeanour because he is practically the same. To be honest, he would probably find it easy to break your walls, just because he so used to putting up his own. He just gets it.

Xiao would never lie to you. He sees no point in it. That being said, he would also be fine with you needing time alone since he needs the same, but he would want to be by your side most of the time. Just to protect you.

Xiao isn’t the best at physical affection but he’s not going to reject it. If you want to hug or kiss him, you’ll just have to ease him into it since he’s never learnt anything of that sort.

“Never judge a book by its cover” is one of the reasons Xiao fell in love with you. Unlike many who are afraid of him or pity him, you see him as a being, not a yakasha, he really appreciates that.

So, with how Wade is presented in a lot of works, hell even in the animated series, most times, he's all about rejecting reality and making up something else, pretending that everything is fine. So if he's listening to stuff thats more talking about their personal problems and how theyre not doing okay in a "This is my reality and it fucking sucks! UGH *insert super cool emo guitar solo*" way. So if Wade is prefering to litsen to something that's purely expressing how miserable they are while also just doing mundane things like walking to the grocery store or taking trash out to the dumpster, It means he's in a state that he can actively relate to music that doesn't totally bring him down but also is realistic instead of songs that are supposed to be auditory uppers.

Now this doesn't mean all feel good happy songs that he litsens too are bad, and its not "Bad" at all to litsen to a song like "Main charater" by Will Wood but at the same time Wade isn't exactly good with limits. Hes an all or nothing kind of guy. So songs that are like "Everyone hates me but I dont fucking care cause Ill just end them or myself" in a very silly loopy kind of way are NOT good things for him to be consistently litsening too.

Once or twice per shuffle? Sure. All day? Mmmh.... Logan needs to have a talk with him.. like right now. Before something insane happens.

Thinking about how Logan has sensitive hearing so he can often hear what Wade is listening to in his headphones (especially since we all know this man does NOT care about his ear drums)

Depending on what he's litsening too, Logan can determine what he's feeling/ what he's about to go do. Sometimes, it's more difficult because he also plays songs in his head. He picks up the signs and patterns, though.

If he's listening to a womans empowerment or classic club song like Fergie or JLO he's about to clean the house.

If he's litsening to The Front Bottoms MCcafferty, he SUPRISINGLY is doing okay. I'll elaborate on this if you want, but if ykyk.

If he's litsening to Sober by FIDLAR the thoughts are being mean to him again.

If he's listening to Kendrick, Beastie boys, or Childish gambino, he most likely just got back from a job well done.

If he's litsening to Will Wood and the Tapeworms or Mindless Self Indulgence he's most likely on the edge of becoming manic or is about to have a mental breakdown.

If he hears him singing in the shower to sad break up songs he's sure to cuddle him extra tonight. Not because he believes he's thinking about him, rather knows hes thinking about other people and how theyve hurt him, unless it's something just super catchy like Sabrina Carpenter.

If he's singing Doja cat, Lizzo, Pitbull or Nicki Minaj, hes tryna get freaky. Either that, or he's sweeping. That broom becomes a pole very quickly. Al is so lucky to be blind.

Do you know when you should be scared? When he starts listening to Hozier or Coldplay, especially if he's just deadpanned while cooking or sitting in the bedroom doing absolutely nothing. It's when he's extremely low on the scale and is trying really hard not to go do something stupid.

The other end of this spectrum is when he's rocking on the floor litsening to or humming Rebecca Sugar and Oh the Hellos.
