what are your headcanons for where the season 1 cast are now?

i love this idea!!

allegra – probably runs a mlm "boss babe" scheme these days. made an appearance on ex on the beach not long after love island, but is now a football wag.

erikah and reese – moved in together and got engaged a year after the show, but ultimately called the engagement off. erikah has a small role on a british soap, meanwhile reese continues to wrestle professionally.

jake – started his own restaurant chain and is the host of a cooking show (a la masterchef).

jasper – full-time socialite, and is engaged to a famous nepo baby model.

jen and tim – jen continues to run her fashion blog, and tim has his own dj residency in ibiza. i hate that they canonically broke up, so in my head they eventually got back together.

levi – competed in the olympics one last time before retiring from water polo. he now coaches kids full-time.

mason – his band re-united and went on a reunion tour. they've released a few albums that did moderately well in the charts.

miles – has appeared in multiple dating shows but hasn't had any luck.

talia – full-time radio host and presenter

cherry – still performing in west-end

rohan – performed in the circus for a while before deciding to become a full-time therapist.

lucy – travels full-time and documents her adventures on tik tok

“I definitely didn’t expect to catch feelings already,” says Cherry, “especially for someone so... dramatic.” “The whole evil vampire thing is a bit of a red flag… but it’s a really sexy red flag,” Marisol giggles. “We’ll see.”

He also connected with Genevieve and Talia, who both found him sophisticated. He insulted Talia, and he did not get along with Allegra or Shannon.

"I admire Genevieve for her strong mind, and Talia is very sweet, although she seems like she is floating around in dreamland. I didn't mean to insult her, but I'm evil. Things just come out of my mouth sometimes," he explains. "I'm trying to be a better sim... but Shannon and Allegra? They are just unpleasant. Shannon seems like a responsible sim, but I can tell she thinks I'm pretentious. And Allegra is my anti-crush."

Jen flirted with Dracula despite feeling suspicious. Suddenly, she wanted to get back together with a previous Love Island partner named Reese. Reese had brought Jen back to the villa from Casa Amor, and they’d shared a deep soulmate connection. Then a bombshell named Tai stole her away from Reese, who was dumped a few days later. Reese waited for Jen on the outside, but she connected with Tai, and then another bomb, Ciaran. Reese officially dumped Jen when he saw her kissing Ciaran during a Love Island trip to the Sulani Beach Club. When Ciaran ultimately recoupled with someone else, Jen was dumped from the villa, sad and single.

Reconnecting with Reese now seemed risky and impulsive… but then he autonomously showed up on the lot, waiting for Jen outside the fence in his formalwear. Melting at the grand gesture, Jen apologized to Dracula, went to Reese, and they lived happily ever after. 

Later, Chelsea caught Dracula on his way into the mansion and eliminated herself. 

“I had crushes on both of them,” Dracula laments. “Why come on the show if you’re still in love with somebody else? Why waste my time? And — I still don’t understand why Chelsea left so abruptly. She could have given me more of a chance.” “Aww, he had a crush on me?” Chelsea beams. “That’s so sweet! But… nope. I had an anti-crush on him. I had to just get out of there. Nope… nope.”

Inside the mansion, the women waited to find out who would receive the First Impression Rose. 

It went to Marisol, who had the highest romance bar progress so far.

Finally, the rose ceremony began. Dracula had twenty-one roses to hand out. 

The first rose went to Genevieve, and the last rose went to Lucy.

Along with Allegra and Shannon, four women named Jo, Summer, Candy and Yasmin were eliminated.

“It was an easy decision,” Dracula reveals. “I had anti-crushes on Candy and Yasmin, Summer was rude, and Jo seemed pretentious. But the bottom line is I already had stronger connections with the other women.”

“He thought I was pretentious?” Jo asks. “I thought he was the pretentious one. Whatever, it’s his loss.” “He seemed really sketchy anyway, it’s no big deal,” shrugs Candy. “I thought he was so sophisticated,” sobs Allegra. “Why didn’t he like me? Why does this always happen?”

Dracula toasted the remaining twenty-two women. “I’m so excited. I know my wife is standing in this room tonight. I can just feel it.” And with that, the Bachelor journey officially began.

in the mean time, season 1 beef, let's dive in. you mentioned secret beef, so let's eliminate the obvious ones, like rohan and reese. rohan didn't hide his disgust about erikah cheating on him, but the way reese was rapidly comfortable actually pissed him off before that. allegra and mc, not a secret at all lol, lucy and mc, VERY JUSTIFIED.

now let's go to the secret beefs i believe were happening:

jake and jen. jake doesn't like her despite how supportive she had come across. it starts when she realizes she needed a change and goes for tim. he knows how tim is susceptible to change and can't really stop it from happening, because he's so dazzled by how hot and sophisticated she is. jake knows where that was going but there was nothing he could say that would open tim's eyes.

jake and villa!miles-jasper. i feel like jake describes the guy that stays in the villa as "obnoxious". there was no way, as much as they had in common, that jake would ever give him a chance. the way miles/jasper treated mc, and how they didn't say anything about allegra's plans of becoming the popular couple might've been the last drop.

talia and allegra. it wouldn't be so hard to like allegra since talia appreciates forward people. the problem was the intensity of her approach. allegra was legit possessive, in very little time, and i don't think talia was having it. even though she might've comprehended it was due to being cheated on, she would always spend her time on the coping because she was tired of listening to allegra's complaints. only jen truly indulged her, while talia avoided it.

rohan and reese. the tension was obvious and reese was already too comfortable. he knew what he wanted and erikah happened to have it... right between those long legs. it was instant and rohan detested how they handled it, especially after he found out erikah cheated on him with reese. besides, i don't think rohan was ever inclined to indulge his jokes, as fun as it looked, just because it was reese.

cherry and erikah. do you ever see them talking to each other? no. is there another reason for it besides cherrygate? i think so. cherry seemed the type to stir the pot a bit when she was openly flirting with mason. granted, that is the goal of the show, but season 1 girls seemed to judge the girls that would do it behind their backs. erikah definitely regretted doing what she did and her feelings towards cherry intensified after the whole deed, but i don't think she ever thought of befriending cherry ever.

mason and levi. they NEVER liked each other. they're never seen hanging out and now that i think of it levi is always isolated. so is mason. you can see tim and jake together, jake and rohan, jake and reese, but levi and mason never seem to find a bro to hang out with. probably the competition for mc's attention was the reason they never allowed themselves to go there. broship was never an option. and things escalate after cherrygate so...

allegra and lucy. allegra had a reason to be upset about mc, but if you try to make amends with her, she actually is sad to say goodbye. lucy however only wanted to stir shit up, and that's definitely a no-no on allegra's book. she's authentic and wouldn't snake behind people's backs, so she censors the ones that do.

i restarted midway my s1 journey and i know we’ve all got our own ideas of every character’s backstory and motivation , so this is mine 😅

litg s1 is very much the first season of any show because none of the participants had any idea what was in store for them.

out of all the s1 islanders, i think only mason, allegra, and reese really got the assignment from the get-go. they get to be on tv and they get to hook up with hot people. plus, if they play it right, they can win a ton of cash.

but as the show went on, allegra sort of shifted perspective (esp after cherrygate) and just chose to enjoy her time in the villa.

i think mason changed approach too, but still aimed to win.

levi and rohan thought they understood the assignment, but when they were actually in the villa, they got too shaken by the reality that the whole competition is about finding a relationship. you gotta be upfront about your feelings (or at least let them hear what they want to hear) and be prepared to hurt someone or not get what you want.

jasper sort of understood the show, but didn’t think of it much. he just wants to enjoy himself and maybe take the chance to meet someone he may take seriously.

and to me, among the boys, it is tim, miles, and jake who came into the show with the mindset of “oh, this is gonna be a great story to tell afterwards!” (tim / miles) and “this is going to be a great break from the usual!” (jake)

though given how jake suddenly became an li towards the end, something clicked in him. kind of like how player!bobby started out trying to play to win, but he never expected to fall for someone in the villa. and so, when he accepted he does have serious feelings for the mc, that’s when he shifted agenda. (so funny that the chefs seem to have that shift in the end haha!)

with the girls, i imagine talia, jen, and cherry joined the show with the main idea of getting a chance to mingle with people who are not often part of their social circle. and perhaps try their luck when it comes to romance and finding spark, but talia was the first to put a pin on that esp when she knew jake was better as a friend than a romantic partner.

erikah was completely determined to enter the show and find love. the cash prize for her is secondary. so naturally when mc was the popular girl, she obviously just felt defeated.

but i do think she considered mc as a friend. i think mc was the only gal pal she considered to be friends with. if the whole show wasn’t about trying to find love and finding the right partner, i think erikah would have appreciated the rap crew better.

if there would be an all star season, erikah will be first in line and will pull a r/hannah glow up and enjoy the show better.

and i wanna think her more chill approach will bring her to the end.

rohan should make a return as well. he definitely deserved better!

His mother used to work for a printing press company until she along with 15 other employees were laid off back in Sargodha

She was out of work for months becoming a stay at home mom (which his father initially wanted) 

While his father continued in ironwork

They uprooted their family to the uk two years later after Rohan’s father also got laid off

Rohan was about 7 years old when they moved to Wolverhampton

he picked up on the English language faster than his parents

Always a quick learner

He has two younger brothers

Who are really his cousins/friends of the family that his parents brought home from Pakistan after their parents passed in a tragic accident

he was eleven years old when he met them at the airport and was super excited to have sibs! & even encouraged his mom to let him buy them something they would like sort of like a ice breaker which they seemed to appreciate 😭

His parents wanted him to major in software engineering or any form of engineering really but that quickly became a “hell no” vs “hell yeah” after those courses started to rot his brain?

So what does he do? He decides he’s gonna major in psychology instead!

You can absolutely guess that the acrobats, trapeze acts, and tightrope entertainers are his favorites to watch

His parents just assumed it was a hobby of his and never took him serious even tho he openly said growing up that’s something he would like to do in life

Lives on campus and is currently looking for a flat off campus to share with a roommate or two (he thought about asking jake & Tim but decided against it FOR NOW)

Mostly had temporary and odd jobs to get by each semester, has not had a steady job due to fully being a full-time student

So did she even genuinely like him or want to besides what he brought to the table physically? Who knows

He just thinks people deserve their chance at happiness and he possibly could have had it if he wasn’t standing in his own way...and he absolutely won’t stand in anyone else’s way if they don’t see potential happiness with him

He’s cool with cherry but deep down he knew there wouldn’t be anything long term between him & her after some time. She’s a beautiful/hot girl but she wasn’t his type + he didn’t like how she portrayed herself in the villa even tho she claims there was more than what meets the eye when it comes to her

she proved that to him which she didn’t HAVE to!!! outside of the house and they actually remained friends unlike the now growing distance he has with erikah

I cannoned that him and Hannah give it a go. I think they’d be cute together? She told him from the moment they met at a festival that they were now dating after they ended up holding hands but he didn’t take her seriously since she was a little drunk?

She messaged him two days later asking him when they were going on their date and that was enough for him to give it a go

They only lasted for a couple of months since they outgrew each other slowly but surely. ‘Not all things are temporary,’ he had to remind himself

It was no bad blood thankfully and they continued to be friends with him wishing her well on her new relationship with Carl. He was genuinely happy for her as he always was for his friends

Long term goals? He doesn’t have a set timeline of when he wants everything to happen because pressure is not fun

Hi, I'd like to request something if that's okay. Which litg athletes do you see competing in olympics this year or maybe next four years? And which ones do you NOT see competing? I hate sports but I have a weakness for athletes, especially certain litg ones.

I can see Levi doing it this year, maybe Jamal (my baby daddy) this or next one. And I think Dylan and Arlo would be too cancelled to participate. What do you think?

Hi Anon! I'm not sure I'm the best person to answer this but I'll give it my best shot! I am not well-versed in sports so hahaha I kind of got a little unserious in some parts.

These are the Islanders that I came up with that are athletes (in some form or it is their job): Levi, Reese, Rahim, Henrik, Jakub, Jo, AJ, Tai, Dylan, Arlo, Pete, Jamal, Lewie, Chloe, Hazel, Logan, Jack, Sophie and Jude. Yes, Kat is a club dancer but I wasn't sure if I could count that with Chloe and Hazel, but I guess on a technicality she could be here, too.

Season 1

Levi - Would probably more likely be coaching at this point in his career. He'd be 32 and had made a name for himself, but ultimately stepped down to further himself in coaching. Could also see him being a commentator, too.

Reese - That mf isn't retiring until they say he's not allowed on the team anymore. Sadly, I don't think wrestling is too popular but I could be wrong. Like he'd pitch a fit and claim they were just against him or something. He'd be there (unfortunately for us).

Season 2

Rahim - Might be out of his prime now. I mean, we know he's good at what he does and all, but this is a pretty competitive sport and when newbies come in, they tend to take it by storm for a while. He's probably just playing the circuit.

Henrik - Yeah, he was a climbing instructor but there's sport climbing. I don't see him doing the Olympics though. He's pretty down to earth, probably not interested in making it his job in this way. He'd rather spread knowledge and love of climbing to others through teaching.

Jakub - lmao as if this big-headed buffoon would miss out on weightlifting or something. Like he's too stupid to be cut from the team anyway. Send him an email and he still flies to the Olympics because he can't read idk

Jo - She would qualify under Cycling BMX Racing and I think she would have done it before. I'm not sure if I'd believe that she's at this one though. She's older, probably settled down or at least doing something related and not racing as seriously anymore?

Season 3

AJ - Definitely there. Loves competition, a great team player. She's 100% playing Field Hockey at the Olympics and I love that for her.

Tai - So technically I think Tai is a rugby coach not a player? Maybe I'm not remembering that though. I think he would be more likely a coach than a player for this Olympics though personally. He has the personality to be tough but also inspirational.

Season 4

Dylan - Definitely did not make the roster after his S4 mishaps. They were so embarrassed that they ghosted him. Left him on read when he asked about how to put in an expense report to get money back for his flight and whatever because no one contacted him about flying with the team. His teammates all blocked him on social media except one, and they didn't only so they could see his profile and laugh about what a loser he is :)

Season 5

Arlo - I mean, I don't know if she got canceled sadly. She was doing what everyone on Love Island does and I can't really blame her. I think she was probably given the opportunity to try out for the team, but that doesn't exactly mean she made it. She was Semi Pro, which means she wasn't the best out there anyway.

Pete - Tried out to be on the sport climbing team, fell on his ass and still has a bruise on his tailbone eight months later. BYE.

Season 6

Jamal - Please, they probably invited him personally to be on the team. He's got such a great energy and he's funny. He'll be there for sure and is definitely medaling.

Lewie - I mean this is a big sport. Did he try out? Sure. Did he make it? Maybe. Football is a massive sport and you're going up against the best in the entire league. I'm going to stick him in the maybe but probably not.

Season 8

Logan - Does anyone even remember this guy? I mean, like, I picked him at the last recoupling and I still forget his ass exists. That's probably what happened if I'm honest. He tried out, the coaches forgot that he had and he never got a call. Aw, poor Logan. Maybe he should try being more memorable next time.

Jack - Oh, he tried. He tried and failed. They laughed and were like, no this is serious not just a hobby. But they invited him to be a Physio for the team so all in all, a win for Jack. (He fangirls over the cyclists when he sees them).

Sophie - I think she tried out and as annoying as she was, she may have made the cut for Acrobatic Gymnastics (is that a thing still? idk). Kinda hope she sprains her ankle as she walks up to the mat or whatever, but I'm kind of a terrible person so.

Season 9

Hamish - yes. If being annoying and obnoxious was a sport. I love him, but he would win the gold. No competition. Though he does play golf now......damn, is there anything he can't do????

Jude - Okay yeah he would be there but the last time it was held was 2021 so I guess it would be next year if it was every 4? Not sure on this but there is a Motor Sports category. You go, Jude! Even though you're kind of a dick and weirdly obsessed with Kat in my game.
