can't stop thinking abt the concept of arthur hearing about this 'emrys' throughout different occasions here and there in the beginning of s4, and at first not thinking much of it, then when the name keeps getting repeated from different villains/sorcerers he interacts with, it finally catches his attention and he becomes genuinely concerned. he makes it a bit of a personal mission to find out who he is, but it's all a very lowkey side plot that's not the main focus (think of the 'traitor' arc also in s4). of course he talks about it with merlin, but to avoid suspicion, merlin shuts him down every time and tries to make him think this mysterious sorcerer is nothing to worry about.

as more time goes on, and the more arthur learns about this powerful sorcerer always protecting him from harm, and as much as he hates to admit this to anyone, most of all himself, as he's only ever been taught to hate magic and anything to do with it- he starts realizing 'emrys' is less of this evil entity that he has to hunt down and kill, and more of a guardian angel that he has genuine interest now in getting to meet. which would also be interesting in terms of contradicting morgana's plot in the same season.

then, in the s4 finale, something that merlin does or says at the end makes him finally connect the dots. he says nothing. the season closes with him just.......... left with the unbearable conflict of it all. the feeling of absolute betrayal from his own friend- the closest person to him that he turned out to not really Know at all, the anger at being lied to and his own obliviousness, all with also the gratitude to this man who has been protecting him without asking for anything in return, the confusion of why he's doing any of it, and the question deep down whether he even deserves it. he is just. left with so many questions and contradicting feelings that he just... says nothing. and we are left with this as the cliffhanger for s4's ending.

thank you for saying this anon i’ve been thinking of it a lot actually. i’m morally and legally binded to choose childhood friend!sugu no matter what because he’s literally……. my favorite Ever. and i think the inherent devotion of the childhood friend trope blends soooo well with his natural devotion. his protective urges. etcetc. i have wayyyy too many thoughts about childhood friend!sugu 😭 but it mostly boils down to him wanting to be by your side forever. he wants to make you happy and he wants to protect you and he knows you so well that he doesn’t trust anyone else to love you like he can. he’s selfish and he wants you to lean on him more than he wants anything for himself.

childhood friend!toru though….. i feel like he would be your estranged childhood friend. that makes most sense to me :3 like, you met when you were really really young, and ended up playing together in an empty park. he was a brat, kind of quiet, and you were just sweet, y’know? you were the closest thing to a friend he had as a child. then you ended up moving away, he never got to say goodbye… and you meet again as adults. you don’t remember him — it was just so, so long ago — but he remembers you. he remembers you a little too well.

so now you just kinda have to deal with this tall, handsome, cheery man who keeps talking to you like you’re best friends even though you literally don’t remember him…. he’s sweet though. a little annoying, but sweet. he has a soft spot for you. i think having anything remotely close to a childhood friend makes him feel human in a way he can’t help but crave.

I wonder if Johnny, when he kills, despite trying his very fucking hardest to run from the programming of the military, uses the same justification that's usually instilled there. That he's only doing what he has to do with no time to ruminate on it. I wonder if he feels any guilt over this, remorse, that his ego soothes over with these justifications. That they deserve it. That he doesn't really leave the dehumanization that he's learned in the military pertaining to his 'targets' behind. That in his eyes, these are lives that don't matter due to not aligning with his personal beliefs or interests.

Hogan's Heroes LGBTQ Headcanons

I don't know why, but I've been wanting to share my headcanons for these guys for a while now, and since I'm apparently going through a Hogan's Heroes phase again at the moment I finally got myself up to actually write them down (I've kind of wanted to do this since forever I was just lazy🫠 but I also didn't want to wait with posting them until next pride month). I apologise if the tone of my writing changes like 5 times throughout, I wrote them kind of scattered and partly sleep-deprived😅

Mind you that these are just my headcanons, you don't have to agree with them, just be respectful! I feel like some of these are pretty widely accepted in the fandom anyway, but there are also some that I haven't seen mentioned as frequently.

Also I've mainly focused on sexuality headcanons here, since when it comes to gender I still see most characters as cis. After thinking a bit about it I could see Carter as being agender though, in the kind of way that he just doesn't really care about his gender (like upon being asked what his gender is he'd say something like "I'm just Carter. Why does that even matter?"). Also this is more gender expression related but I can imagine that Newkirk at some point discovers he actually enjoys crossdressing, after having to disguise as a woman multiple times for secret missions. I also feel like Schultz would be the type who doesn't particularly care whether he's gender-conforming or not (he didn't really seem to mind when they put him in a wedding dress that one time), he doesn't actively pursue nonconformity, but he also doesn't take an issue with it, all in all he's just really chill about it.

OH BOY LOL!! The Chip Cinematic Universe is insane lmaoo

So for starters! What is a ChipDoesThis? well, its this guy. He’s a streamer who we all met through, and now this is our funny way of saying thanks. A lot of characters come from self inserts, inside jokes from streams or our Discord Server, or are just characters from other media. Think like those weird DeviantArt crossover fanfics from those 12 year olds but with a lot more people working on it. We’re figuring out a full lore dump for the CCU’s characters/story, but it’s definitely gonna take a while lol

A basic summary is that C!Chip and Gannondaddy (an OC by Spygirl) stole the Anarchy Splatcast from Deep Cut, and they’re pissed as hell about it, and want revenge. Meanwhile, Chip and GeeDee’s adopted Octoling son Billy Phase (who is the character Chip plays as in Splatoon) is currently stuck doing work with the New Squidbeak Splatoon + Off the Hook when he isn’t previously occupied with watching Cocomelon! (he’s both Neo 3 and Eight in this).

Chip’s Silly Splatcast also has 3 managers with plot relevance: Libris (MidnightRandom’s character), Tarrknuck (DarthBacca’s self insert), and C!Rose (my self insert). Them alongside other self inserts/characters get into a lot of Shenanigans! Some being worse than others, as secrets get revealed and trust gets broken. this was supposed to be a joke thing. we added angst into the CCU.

Oh also, AmiiboHand (the Dark Lord in Chiptopia) is a character made by Chip! he came from a vid of him opening the Deep Cut amiibo, and made a return in a (now deleted) video where Chip first face reveals! The in-universe explanation being that AH (temporarily) took his mustache and for whatever reason gave him the ability to shapeshift into a human!
