okay for my steve girlies i’m just having some thoughts abt him as a boyfriend rn that i cannot get out of my head so you’ll have to put up with this.

as a partner i feel like he’d be the most touchy person on the face of the earth. constantly having his hands on you in a casual way whether it be holding hands, pulling you onto his lap to sit there even when there’s a spot open right next to him, standing behind you with an arm wrapped around you, playing with your hair/clothes/jewelry, and so on. he’s probably very touch-starved so i feel like he would be on you 24/7 and very shameless in terms of PDA because he’s just dying to have someone to love. robin and dustin would fake gag in the background but he could care less. also he gives me the vibes of someone who is just constantly warm. like the human incarnation of a furnace, so cozy and inviting in terms of cuddling.

boyfriend steve in season two was very cute to me (i.e: him coming to apologize with flowers even though he literally didn’t even know what he was sorry for because she was the one who hurt him, trying to cut her off when she was drinking too much/take care of her) so i can only imagine he’d be an even sweeter boyfriend in the later seasons with his character growth. i picture him being chivalrous for some reason, like always opening the car door for you, wordlessly taking off his jacket to put it over your shoulders when it’s cold and you stubbornly didn’t wear one, and not wanting you to pay for dinner even though his salary at family video is probably not that great. long story short he is a simp and very romantic. i feel like that’s just canon at this point but i digress.

i personally feel, despite my love for the kinkier fics, that steve is pretty vanilla in bed. at least, until he’s exposed to something new by a partner? like i feel that he would be open to trying certain things with you because duh you’re you and he loves you and why wouldn’t he wanna try slightly freaky shit with you, but it’s not something he just thinks up himself if that makes sense? but that doesn’t mean he can’t rock your world, let’s be 100% clear on that. this man eats pussy like it’s a five course meal and i will die on that hill. he’d get so into it, his eyes would close and he’d make soft little noises into you every time you pull on his hair UGH. you sitting on his face is probably his favorite thing you two have ever done because, honestly, suffocation between your thighs is a great way to go as far as he’s concerned.

also, it’s canon at this point that he’s hung right? did that originate from joe keery’s bulge in those tight ass vintage levi’s? probably, but it’s a steve thing now and i wholeheartedly agree with the fandom’s unanimous decision that he has unparalleled big dick energy. that being said, i also feel like he knows how to use it. a lot of well endowed guys aren’t that great because they’re like “oh i have big dick so sex with me is good already and i don’t need to do anything” but steve is a ladies man. he knows what he’s doing, and he doesn’t even need the buffer of kinks and shit to fuck you stupid. and he would be soooo cocky about it. i feel like he would be into degradation and dumbification a bit. he loves the fact that you are basically rendered useless when he’s fucking you open with his thick cock, caging you in with his arms by your head and cooing at you while the room is filled with the wet sound of him pounding into you. the filthiest he gets is whispering stuff like, “look at you. hardly even fucked you yet and you’re already a dumb little slut for me, huh?” like he can get nasty but i feel like it wouldn’t go far beyond dirty talk like that.

he has a breeding kink by the way. it’s not something he acknowledges as a kink officially or even fully realizes, but considering that the man wants six children in canon, i feel like the idea of getting you pregnant, or even just coming inside of you whether or not you’re on a contraceptive, definitely gets him going. and if you are pregnant eventually once/if you two decide it’s what you want, forget about it. my god, he would be on you all the time. he’d love having you ride him with your breasts bouncing and a bit fuller from the hormones, your belly protruding with a bump as an undeniable piece of evidence that you’re his. it just checks all the boxes for him. i also believe that his chivalrous behavior would increase tenfold when you’re pregnant. in the later months, you physically cannot tie your shoes so he is right there to help you. he’s always extending his hand to hold while you walk, walking with his body closest to the street and yours closer to where it’s safer, and in general being even more of a simp than usual. if you thought he was a gentleman before, when he knows his baby is inside of you, he’s literally trying to do anything and everything he can for you.

You wish you had my analytical skills, @steveharrington but all you can manage to do is make up the most silly, most ridiculous, most pathetic takes that are so easily disproven to make you feel better about the fact that not just a fictional character you hate but the real person who plays them lives rent free in your head especially when your favorite Joe Keery has had lovely things to say about both.

He will never give you the attention you want, because you’re rancid and that is a choice. You’re not brave for being a hater, and your hatred isn’t our responsibility. Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton (Assassin's Creed III)

Even as the years go by, Connor was the character I made a Tumblr account for and pretty much the only reason I bother still paying attention to Assassin's Creed as a franchise anymore. I was there, man. I was there when everyone in the fandom and their mothers hated this guy, but I will still defend him even with my goddamn life. Characters that go through intense tragedy after intense tragedy and still come out the other side gentle and optimistic are my lifeblood.

2. Johnny Silverhand (Cyberpunk 2077)

(People who follow me for my sideblog make a Surprised Pikachu Face at this placement) My gross rat bastard man I love you I hate you I love you. An intensely tortured character with arguably more negative personality traits than positive ones, but who he is and even why he is is so engaging and tragic that you almost forget he's supposed to be getting on your nerves for most of the game's runtime. Damn you Keanu Reeves and your effortless dorky charisma.

3. Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2)

Arthur baby you deserved the world. An insanely complex character with gray morals and a jaded worldview who could never do right no matter how hard he tried until the one moment where it mattered most. I loved John in RDR1 and didn't really expect to get so attached to Arthur, but R* truly did grab me by the shoulders and said "Bet, bitch". To this day, the fact that I never finished that 200k+ word OC fic disguised as an Arthur character study still haunts me.

4. Korra (Avatar: The Legend of Korra)

As someone who'd watched the original Last Airbender series as it aired when I was a kid, I was super excited for a female Avatar when the series was announced back in...god, was I in high school? The point being-- when the show started really hitting it's stride with Korra's character in season 3 I was beyond hooked, and I loved season 4 probably a lot more than I think I should've, but MAN, was it a fun ride. Korra is a character and a show that both got severely panned and honestly I think once you get out of the mindset that you aren't watching Aang 2.0 you'll have a much funner time.

5. Steve Harrington (Stranger Things)

Maybe not as much in later seasons when they really leaned off his popularity + Joe Keery's charisma, but lemme tell y'all season 2 Steve had me in a bonafide stranglehold for two years. "Character stepping up to a leadership role and then getting forcibly adopted by the people they're leading" is one of my favorite tropes and the reason that it worked so well in S2 is partly because the concern of Steve still kinda/sorta had the potential to swing back towards being the bully archetype he showed shades of in S1, so you got to see his relationship with the kids start off as kinda selfish but grow into a genuine protectiveness. GOD this was a top tier man y'all! We had it so good!

6. Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn 99)

Maybe this is coming off the fact that my roommate and I literally just finished binge watching B99 for like the fifth time? But I forgot how much I actually really liked Rosa. One of the best sitcom deadpan snarkers of recent years and I personally liked that they affirmed that she didn't need to see herself settling down to be happy. I'm glad this role basically launched Stephanie Beatriz's career because she truly is the unsung hero of this show's comedy and heart and never really gets enough credit for it imho.

7. Melissa Schemmenti (Abbott Elementary)

Every single time I watch Abbott Elementary. Every. Single. Time. Someone looks at me when Schemmenti appears on screen and goes "Wow, she acts a lot like you do!". And I have to sigh and nod and pretend I don't see it lol. Though unfortunately our differing football opinions means we would probably end up in a fistfight.

8. Takashi "Shiro" Shirogane (Voltron: Legendary Defender)

I will never forgive the VLD showrunners for dropping a nuke on Shiro's character development. Seasons 1-2 Shiro was some of most fun I've ever had following a protagionist's journey to conquer his inner struggles and solely for that, I still have a massive soft spot for him. Dreamworks think about how you massacred my boy and feel bad for it.

9. Benjamin "Benji" Ovich (Beartown Series)

This gif is from the HBO Nordic series (haven't watched it, desperately still want to, don't know if I even can at this point lol), but I'm specifically talking about Benji from the Beartown book trilogy. He evolves into the series deuteragonist alongside Maya and god, he is just such a tragic character who deserves all the world and more. Go read Beartown and scream at me for it.

10. Joey Tribbiani (Friends)

"Characters I See a Lot of Myself In 2: Electric Boogaloo". Joey is the best friend in the entire cast there I said it. Honestly my ideal relationship is a funny overly-assured man who loves the New York Rangers, loves his friends intensely, and has dumb himbo energy. The loud Italian family is just an added bonus.

4. favorite platonic dynamic : Billy and Max, or Dustin and Steve. Or Steve and Gareth. Cause I headcanon Gareth as becoming Steve’s caregiver after the events of the show leave him with cognitive and physical disabilities

5. underrated ship : Hollogrove, Cunningway, Pompompineapple, Stonathan, Cheerscoops, Calicheer, Rockie, Stargyle, Cammy, Kegboys, Steather, Argilly, and so many more but I’ll stop there.

6. overrated ship : Any of the fruity four (it makes me wanna gag just typing it) ships. I haven’t looked in the fandom tags for a year because it’s oversaturated with passionless, factory produced, carbon-copy fanworks that look like Harringrove fics put through ai to be rewritten as St*ddie, or Buckleway into r*nance. I’m sick of it. It’s boring. I’ll come up with my own steddie content, thanks.

7. one thing to change in canon : Everything. Not even joking. I’m going blorbo shopping and bringing all my favs back to my dollie house to play fix-it.

8. something canon did right : Um. I guess letting actors put in feedback and details of their own. Like Millie choosing for El to touch Billy’s cheek, Dacre giving us backstory on Billy’s mom and also on Billy’s disability (BPD), both he and Joe Keery refusing the original scripts, Joe Quinn improvising Eddie’s crush on Chrissy, and so on. All of the actor choices are the only good things about the show at this point.

9. a thing I’m proud of creating for the fandom : @disabledbillyandsteveweek! There's more information about the event over on the blog, but basically it’s an event starting in about two weeks meant to highlight Billy and Steve as disabled characters, through all kinds of fan works and different ships!

10. a character who is perfect to me : Christine Renée-Beth Cunningham. Nobody compares to my cheer girl.

11. the most relatable character and why : Also Chrissy. She reminds me a lot of myself, especially how I was when I was still in highschool, being timid and struggling a lot with my mental health. I wish she could have grown and gotten help and felt better since I’m on my journey to doing so right now, but I’m forever grateful to have seen a character with an eating disorder and an abusive family on screen, portrayed in a heartfelt and generous way- all thanks to miss Grace Van Dien

12. character I hate most and why : Neil, Karen (actually just the Wheelers in general except little Holly), Brenner, Owens, the lady that shot Benny, literally so many of them. Anyone who intentionally and unabashedly hurts other characters without remorse.

13. something I’ve learned from the fandom : To be patient, because even when things seem tough or impossible, we can make it. Together, with friends who understand us, and who share our pain, we can fight and keep going! Especially because this community will always have folks who understand and have our backs, we just have to find them ❤️❤️

14. three tags I seek out on ao3 : I actually don’t read fic on ao3. The extreme amounts of severely triggering content hosted on that site is just too much for me and I can never seem to avoid it. I only post to ao3 because I know people find it easily accessible, but I had one too many mix-ups that led to me being in a terrible state of mind, so I discontinued using the site.

15. a song I strongly associate with otp and/or favorite character : I’ll never shut up about “Time in a Bottle” by Jim Croce. Conveniently off the same record as Hop has on Vinyl and Cassette, it’s my favorite song ever because it’s so tender and loving and even though it’s old people music yall should give it a listen. It applies to any ship, but especially packs a punch with Harringrove. Also “Magic” by Olivia Newton-John.

I don't think Steve will die in s5. Dustin already lost Eddie and if they kill off Steve it would be too much. Plus Stranger Things is not GoT and tbh every main character deserves a happy end. I don't agree with people who say that Steve's only purpose is dying for his friends, that's super depressing. I wish in s5 we get to see an arc of him outside of romance tho.

If anyone from the teens is in danger it's Jonathan. He didn't have much of an arc since becoming Nancy's boyfriend and his connection with Will and El could be dangerous. If Vecna targets those two specifically (which he probably will) the people around them are in danger, which excludes Steve. He will probably be busy helping Dustin getting over Eddie.

Confession #56

Like I mentioned before, they won't kill off one of their most loved characters. The people who say Steve's only purpose is to die just want him to be off the show so their favorite character has more screen time, in my honest opinion. (Which I get! I also want my favorite characters to have screen time, but I don't want that to happen by just randomly killing the other characters??? LOL)

I have never in my life seen a post that provides a good reason why Steve should die, and that's because there isn't one. (I'd be open to listening, but so far there has not been in my eyes a solid reason as to why Steve should die. Like you said, it's not GoT.) They spent so much time and work on his development...to just what? Give him a brutal death in the last season? It's not logical.

I'd say out of the older teens, Jonathan and Robin are in danger. Jonathan because yeah, he unfortunately was semi non-existent in season 4, which does suck because he was a big part of the first two seasons and one of the things I like about Jonathan is his connection with Will. And I think your spot on by saying he'll be in danger if Vecna targets Will and El, which is already evident that's going to happen. Anyone who is really close to Will and El are going to be in danger the most I believe. (Jonathan, Mike, Max, Hopper, Joyce)

The only reason I say Robin is because I'm like 95% sure Maya said she wouldn't care or mind if they killed Robin off, but please don't quote me on that because I could be misremembering.

And yes, I believe Steve will be helping Dustin grieve Eddie's death. Due to the GA's reaction to Steve, his story, and his growth, and then factor in that the creators of the show quite literally changed shit in the story so Steve could live and have an arc, and then also factor in that the Duffers absolutely love Joe Keery and the way he portrays Steve.....he's most likely one of the safest characters in the show.

I am a huge fan of the secretly related family trope in fanfiction. Like it's one of my absolute favorite because of the drama. (Can you tell that watching daily serials with my grandmother and mom rubbed off on me?) However, it does not make any sense in canon for these characters to be related and I know that. I just like reading it for the drama. But I hate it when people start theorizing that these are true. Like Karen Wheeler is Alice Creel is a fun thing to explore in fanfiction, but it does not make sense in canon. Like no sense and I will scream if that happens. Like the only reason she is so prominent is her actress. (And yeah, it's really weird that she ended up on the main titlecard, while Joe Keery was not on it in season 1 and he did more to drive the narrative than Karen did!) Also the El is a Creel thing going around. Really annoying. Because it's cool to explore in fanfiction but would probably not make sense in the show.

Yes i love that twist too (lmaooo i watch a soap opera so i’m really used to it lol ) but the drama is always soooo good! but yeah like you said in this context it makes zero sense. like you said in fanon it’s fun but people theorizing these things to be true is insane. it’s also insane the amount of loop holes like the loop hole as one of them is legit about how steve’s essay for college is about nancy and how she’s related to victor creel! like that’s a huge ass loop hole and literally making something about steve AND MAKING IT ABOUT NANCY! it’s like steve can’t have ANYTHING in this fandom. it’s just god how is steve’s paper about nancy?!? ITS STEVE’S PAPER!!! that almost everyone mocks like hmmmmm seems sus. honestly el being a creel is just sooooo mind boggling to me because a. the timing makes no fucking sense. b. el just got out of an abusive relationship with brenner and now people want her bio father to be someone that has tried to kill her multiple times - has tried to kill her friends more times than once - has tried to kill the entire world. it’s just so fucking - they want el to go back into an abusive after just getting out of one like they don’t care about el at fucking all.

This is going to be the pinned post on my blog for a quick rundown about me, and all of my hyperfixations. Including games, characters, shows, etc.

This will of course be added to over time as well, due to new hyperfixations/things I wanna put here. It may also be added to over time if I forgot to put something here initially as well.

Alright. I’m a tiny and am newer to the g/t community, but not g/t in general. I first discovered the g/t community back in early 2021 but I’ve had g/t as a comfort thought since I was real little. Like really little. I’m fine with NSFW g/t but NOT vore at all.

I don’t necessarily have a favorite piece of g/t media, as I enjoy thinking about my OC more, but if I had to choose it’d probably be the episode of Daa Daa Daa where Miyu shrinks.

Before I get into my hyperfixations, I want to talk about my OC. You aren’t gonna see anything about her for a very long time. She’s my only OC, and has been for years, and I love her a lot. There are a lot of features and cliche things about her that I’m sure people would pick at, and I like not having that influence when I think of her.

So for now no OC content other than her name is Lucy, (shes canonically japanese so her other name is Emi) her birthday is July 2nd, and she technically doesn’t have a canon universe she’s in. Although there is one I’d say is a smidge away from being her canon universe, but I still stick her in other universes.

Characters:

I’m starting with characters I’m hyperfixated with because I think that’s the longest so why not.

Hawks: I don’t know how long I’ve been hyperfixated with him but it’s been loooong. He’s my favorite anime character, favorite character, favorite everything. Because of this though, I would actually appreciate no MHA content at all. I’m so hyperfixated with him to the point that sometimes I get sick to my stomach seeing other people talk about him or MHA. In a good way, but that doesn’t make it fun. I obviously can’t stop seeing it, and when I do post OC content, Hawks content will literally be there as well, but just a thing to keep in mind.

Denki Kaminari: Not really sure what to say about him but I love him.

Leon and Ada: Figured I’d put them together because I ship them (don’t hurt me) and I love both of them. Leon is definitely in my top ten characters (Hawks is #1 for reference) and Ada is Ada. How can you not love her.

Jill and Carlos: ^^^^ same thing. Love them both. Ship them. They’re literally both marriage material.

Claire: Don’t ship her with Leon but I love her.

Takumi Usui: Literally just a giant top. First thing I think when I see him is TOP. Also I’m so Misa (minus the tsundere stuff) with him.

Chai from Hi-Fi Rush: He wijdbdkwjwjwjsndkwidnfwm he’s so cute i love him sm. he baby.

Goro Akechi: Same VA as Chai. I don’t know how to do this without spoilers but Royal Akechi is my favorite.

Ryuji Sakamoto: Literally best Persona character. I love him so f much. He’s on my top ten characters.

Futaba and Sumi: Tied as best girls (love sumi a lil more tho) because I personally embody Futaba but Sumi is a precious bb.

Faith Seed: hOLY SHIT I LOVE HER. VERY HIGH UP on my top ten. She’s literally why I like white laced dresses so much. Obviously ignoring the illegal shit she did. BUT MY GOD I LOVE HER MORE THAN I CAN DESCRIBE.

Luke from TWDG: LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM. He deserves the world and everything, and literally just everything in the world. (very good gentle giant for a tiny)

Steve Harrington: tHE CRUSH I HAD ON JOE KEERY OMGOMGOMG. HIS HAIR.

Chell from Portal: I know I know, she’s silent, and in a way, has zero personality, but I love her. Specifically her outfit in Portal 2.

Monika from DDLC: My precious bb. That’s all I have to say.

Spider-man: Any spider-man. Literally the only superhero I care about at all.

Vanessa from FNAF: TOP TEN TOP TEN. My OC came before her, which is why her looking incredibly similar to my OC automatically made me love her, and now I actually love her sfm.

Lucy Heartfilia: Could say my OC got her name from her, will get further into Fairy Tail things later.

Gray Fullbuster: Loved him since his first line ever. I don’t wanna spoil it if you’ve never watched Fairy Tail, so if you’re actually reading this, I’ll let you do that yourself.

Nonon Jakuzure: Love her so so much, which leads to the next character as well.

What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading? This was my first time writing Ronance. I felt comfy writing the Steddie parts, but I was so nervous that I might get the dynamic wrong for Ronance. So the song that helped me through this was She by dodie. It's so bubbly and achy and exactly the energy that I wanted Nancy to have as her feelings develop further. 14. Is there anything you wanted readers to learn from reading this fic? Since this is a The Holiday au, I wanted to stay true to the film in a lot of ways. But I also took TONS of creative liberties as well. The biggest rewrite I did was the ending. All of the characters have a plan for their long distance relationships. This felt more concrete. And as someone who did *cough* five years *cough* of on again/off again ldr - I found it to be helpful to have finite plans. So that's exactly what I gave these characters. Plans and goals and sheer drive to continue the relationships, even when miles are between them.

Girl, 7. and 12. for the Choosing Violence ask game! For Stranger Things, because we both like Stranger Things! :D Air your grievances.

7: what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

This is tough because there aren’t really any Stranger Things characters that I hate? I mean, aside from the obvious ones that no one likes lol.

(and, okay, I’m not a big fan of Billy, but that’s because of how he acts in canon, not fan interpretation)

I’ll be honest, I get a little tired of everyone fawning over Steve sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely don’t hate him! He’s a great character, but the fandom definitely goes overboard on the Steve train. Like, calm down and show a little love for someone else once in a while, maybe? I know he’s the fan favorite, but there’s a lot of other characters that are just as good but don’t get as much attention cause Joe Keery is cute.

12: the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

Justice for my boy Jonathan Byers!

Not unliked necessarily, just ignored. I think people tend to overlook him because he’s quiet and not as conventionally attractive as Steve, Billy, Eddie, etc. But he’s such an interesting character and he loves his family so much!! Not to mention, Charlie Heaton does such a great job and I think his performance gets ignored a lot as well!

I don’t love how he was mostly portrayed as comic relief in s4, but I’ve also seen people argue that his behavior is a result of him getting to act his age for the first time in a long time. With Will growing up and gaining independence, he doesn’t have as much responsibility as he used to and he reacts to that by smoking a bunch of weed because that’s a thing that an eighteen-year-old boy would do lol. But I do love his scene with Will that basically says that he knows Will is gay and loves and supports him no matter what. They hadn’t had a good scene together in a long while, so that was really great.

(Not me coming up with another Westing Game parallel, but Theo Theodorakis! He spends so much time looking after his brother and feeling responsible for him that he hardly leaves any time for himself! When asked to list his occupation, Theo literally writes “brother” because being Chris’s brother is such an essential part of his identity, and that’s such a Jonathan Byers move.)

I also think that people put way too much emphasis on the fact that he took that picture of Nancy in season one without her consent, but consistently ignore the fact that he owns up to the mistake and apologizes to her and she forgives him. I know that it was a shitty thing to do, but it is explicitly acknowledged as such in canon.

Anyway, rambling but if the Duffers kill him in season five, it’s on sight.

Joe Keery Movie Review:

Slice (2018) Horror/Comedy

In a spooky small town, when a slew of pizza delivery drivers are slain on the job, the townspeople search for someone to blame for the cryptic crime spree.

🍕Is he the star?: No. He plays a pretty minor role. 🍕Who does he play?: Jackson, a photographer.

🍕Timestamps: 6:23 - 7:17 | 15:17 - 15:38 | 1:08:45 - 1:09:56 🍕Does he die?: No. 🍕Violence?: Not from him. Even then, not a lot in the movie overall. 🍕Bad or good?: Good! Hmm, or bad… Depends on you, but I think the point is he’s good. He hates his mom. Or maybe he just hates that she's a ghost. Yeah, there's ghosts. And witches. And werewolves. 🍕Worth the watch?: Sure, not for Joe, though. It's an interesting movie. Never seen anything like it. 🍕Additional notes: My favorite character was actually Dax, played by Chance Bennett (Chance the Rapper).

When we first meet Jackson, I love him. I love his wardrobe and he seems to maybe have a crush on Sadie Sheridan, his investigator co-worker.

But as the movie progresses we see that he's pretty unimportant compared to the numerous characters introduced. We hardly see him (grand total of 2 minutes, 26 seconds of screen time) and he literally doesn't do a damn thing when the big boss fight happens at the end.

The last time we see him he's telling Sadie some guy in the sports section died and he needs her to fill in for him. She's pissed because who cares about sports when there's all this monstrous mayhem going on in their city? He also seems like he has no respect for her but that could just be my interpretation.

I thought maybe he was deeper, that he killed the guy so he could work more closely with Sadie in some way or the other. Maybe the unsuspecting Jackson was the villain all along... Nope. He literally does nothing. He could be eliminated completely and the plot would remain the same.

Overall the movie was crazy, but pretty good. Not at all scary.

As someone who has had hellcheer brainrot for 6 months i also do not like the show LMAO i mean it's very entertaining and i do think they did a relatively good job with season 4 as like, a generally fun viewing experience (especially considering the fact that the hype for ST was dying down and they needed to reignite it, which they def managed to do) but so many little things about the writing and story-telling drive me crazy i'm very ehhhh. i feel like i just gently gathered all of my favorite characters into my arms and said ok you live in my brain now :) because They neither understand you or know what to do with you so i am your mother now :)

okay so this is in regards to this admission on my part that i am not a fan of stranger things (which, i can get into and bore you with if requested, but i don't want to just talk ears off without interest on this front). in short, i try to quit the series every season because i find it to be really not all that good (in fact, even bordering on inherently flawed in some senses), but unfortunately this desire to not hate watch/hyperfixate in a negative way is beat out by my deep, deep desire for both steve harrington and joe keery. i want him carnally. i want him in a way that some would see as shameful.

anyways! i so agree that the writing and storytelling borders is just so atrocious. i almost started trying to outline my least favorite aspects but it would literally be an essay.

but much like you i just daydreamily fantasize and headcanon about my favorite characters and pretend the duffer brothers do not exist. <3

hey, i'm the anon who vented in two parts! thank you fr taking the time to read and post, i freaked out a little after i hit send because i thought it was a bit too much. it's just i never find anyone who's willing to talk about this so openly. i hope i didn't make you think i was judging/attacking you in anyway. i know it's nearly impossible to filter out your blog since it's all about joe/eddie and i think it's the sweetest thing that you leave your asks open for people to come talk and vent. that also means that you must read all kinds of rumors and stuff people send you and i hadn't considered how that must also overwhelm you. i'm choosing to believe gr*c*really moved on from that entire mess. but the kind of crap she pulled back then really left a bad taste in my mouth. when you stop to think that she did most of that shit when she was 25---a whole grown ass woman baiting and trolling teenage girls with ship talk (real and fictional) and deleting posts on her tumblr to play the victim later on really, really doesn't sit right with me. and she did it again just before the last con. baited her 'haters' in with some note about striking fears into their hearts and then deleted the post when she got enough attention/hate. then came back and wrote about how they can hate her as much as they want but some actor was proud of her and that's all that mattered. like...girl, you brought that hate upon yourself literally two nights ago when you taunted the people who don't like you. make it make sense, please. i've seen some anons commenting about joe possibly knowing of her behavior: joe keery doesn't use his twitter anymore. he has only an instagram for his band and he also has a reddit account, i think. jamie doesn't follow her and even if he did, i'm pretty sure he wouldn't be checking her liked tweets or past replies and reading threads upon threads of drama to tell joe later on. it's totally possible he has an idea of what's going on because of insta. his friend manages his insta but it's not crazy to believe he does browse it himself every now and then to see what's going on. as for the rpf, i understand you completely. i read everything. rpf and fic for the characters he plays. this fandom is so talented. the steddie part is so amazing and don't even get me started on my favorite ship which is eddie and nancy. lol. so i just read everything i can get my hands on. well, that's it, i guess. thank you again for allowing me to vent like this. i hope life treats you well now and always. <3
