i've been so used to the online space where if you like a series or fictional character that someone else hates they will openly berate you and cut you out of their life and tell you to Go Die so when i got into a thing that a friend really didn't like and their only reaction was "i do not like it" and left it at that with no over the top reaction or lecture on Why The Thing They Don't Like Is Bad, honestly i felt like i met god

I hit chilchuck with harpyfication beam for 500 mana and blow him into one million pieces. Drivel below vv
I think chilchuck is some kind of likeeee wren? Chickadee maybe? Maybe even a cardinal? Some kind of small songbird, i just wanted him to have some kind of warm-colored wing with white speckles (my lazy ass did NOT use a reference for these shitty little doodles but if I ever end up making solid refs for them I’ll do more research), I thought about maybe hummingbird wings butttt idk I couldnt get the shape right and I wanted him to have more of a traditional harpy look. I combined elements from my harpies (wings and arms, jewelry/piercings, feathered tails) and canon harpies (FEATHER TIT WINDOW‼️ kind of feral, sharp teeth, etc) and kind of mashed them up. I TOTALLY FORGOT to give him jewelry on his arms and stuff but maybe I’ll go back to that laterrr idk like i said these r quick shitty doodles. So i guess hes kind of half harpy. I was like MANNNN wouldnt it be funny if he got his soul fucked up and had to navigate the rest of his life as a chimera. Lol. What if he had to relearn how to be human. What if laios had to teach him. Haha would that be fucked up or what. He could have also just been like that when they first met him and that would be cool too i think. What about the Implications??? Are his wings sensitive? What abt his tail? Are his senses even sharper?? Does this change his diet? Are his taloned hands still clever enough to pick locks? THEN i started thinking about the others…. Laios n Falin r some kind of owl. Snowy owl probably their northern asses but I also like the idea of them being some kind of seabird. Big ole albatross Touden sibs. Senshi is probably also sone kind of owl, maybe even some kind of chicken? Vulture might also be cool. Marcille is definitely a duck or swan tho (GASP unless SHES the hummingbird!! I will come back to this later). Izutsumi is already a cat, but if she had wings too shed be a corvid of some sort fo sho. Idk about yhe others because I cannot lie to u idgaf about them. ANYWAYS i love to talk about wings and harpies and how that affects team and overall social dynamics so if anyone has anything to add please do‼️

see how i don’t go on properly tagged posts about a fictional piece of media to argue with and insult the original poster? very mindful, very demure. see how i understand it’s fiction and literally does not matter? very intelligent, very smart. see how i don’t fall for house of the dragon’s marketing campaigns of how there are two sides and everyone much choose? very astute, very insightful.

can we talk about how so many of us practically grew up with noragami? many of us here are now adults who have liked this series since we were kids. we really stuck around long enough to see it through to the end. it's commendable, honestly. waiting in agony every month for whatever hell adatchitoka wanted us to go through was an experience in itself, and this comment made me chuckle thinking about it.
well, they weren't wrong! i have so much love for this series and the journey i had with it from start to finish. noragami is never leaving my heart and mind, and this sick empty feeling when a series i love ends will haunt me for the rest of my days. thank you for all these years. goodbye noragami <3

The idea that Sydney deserves “more” than Carmy when Carmy has not intentionally lied to Syd, betrayed Syd, insulted Syd, took advantage of Syd, purposefully belittled, disrespected, ignored or harmed Syd, just really reads to me as, “Anyone who has ever been anything less than the perfect potential partner one hundred percent of the time, even during times of extreme stress and mental instability they can’t help, does not deserve to be in a relationship,” and like sorry but zero people like that exist.
No two people are going to be perfect to each other one hundred percent of the time. Every single person in a relationship is at some point going to be inconsiderate, oblivious, or hurtful. Every single person in a relationship is at some point going to let something unrelated to their relationship get to them, and affect their relationship. Every single one.
The way Carmy behaved this season was unhealthy, and he owes Syd an apology and a sincere effort to make up for it, but he has not done something unforgiveable. He has not even done anything exceptionally outside the almost inevitable mistakes people in relationships sometimes make.
And by the way, part of the problem they’re facing right now is on Sydney and The Bear has several scenes bringing that to our attention. I know the unhealthy behaviors Carmy is exhibiting are easier to hate, but relationships require honest communication. Sydney is not telling Carmy how she feels. She’s not communicating the problem. Even the time Carmy attempted to bring it up himself this season, Sydney avoided it. And while I think Carmy is on some level aware he’s fucking up, I don’t think it’s fair to say he knows exactly what he’s doing or to what degree it’s affecting Syd, especially because I don’t think Carmy even truly understands what he’s doing or the reason he’s doing it, and if Syd doesn’t tell him how it’s affecting her Carmy’s not going to know until it’s too late to handle smoothly.
I’m not saying Sydney is “bad too” and therefore deserving of Carmy or whatever, I’m saying they are both literally human and neither one of them being imperfect means a romantic relationship by default shouldn’t happen. They are never going to be perfect human beings who never fuck up and neither one is undeserving of the other because of this. Come on.
I know in sitcoms people are always perfect to each other and never have real problems and live happily ever after but The Bear is not like that.
These characters are supposed to be like real people. Real people aren’t perfect, even to their partners, even if their partners deserve perfect.
Carmy and Sydney both deserve each other if they want each other and are willing to work for it even when it’s hard and that’s just like. How all relationships between humans work like sorry to break it to you.
