Apropos of this post by @sapphoherselz (so sorry girl, I will leave you alone after this I promise) and every other hc of the twinyards having the same taste in love interests, I'm proposing a fic idea:

Imagine a uni au (sans the mafia) where Andrew/Aaron/Nicky have a slightly closer relationship and it's become increasingly obvious that Aaron's pining after someone but he refuses to give any concrete details. However, he occasionally drops hints by accident that Andrew absolutely catches like this person being a readhead, them working in one of the bookstores on campus, and them being a cheerleader. So then Aaron tells them he's inviting his roommate Neil over for thanksgiving and Andrew's like oh shit, because he literally met Neil a few weeks prior at the bookstore and is now realising that he's probably the guy Aaron's into.

Cue the angst and the silly misunderstandings when Andrew tries to not get in Aaron's way but Neil makes all of his efforts be in absolute vain because he's hellbent on annoying Aaron by befriending his brother

#things to note: aaron still plays exy but andrew doesn't #andrew's an english lit major bc ofc he is I will build this hill and die on it #neil's a cheerleader bc I find the idea of him befriending katelyn first to be so scrumptious #btw neil is banned from working the cash register at the bookstore bc of his godawful customer service skills #and technically katelyn works in the bookstore too but she works in the cafe upstairs (am I basing this on my campus bookstore? well yes)

How do I say, without coming across as a jaded miserable little bitch who likes raining on everybody's parade, that the PJO Disney plus adaption is nostalgia bait, in the same way that their live action remakes are

#it'll probably be good #it sounds like its gonna be a pretty faithful adaption #im not denying that #but #20-30 something year old you ARE being pandered to by the Walt Disney Corporation #its fine to be excited for it. just so long as we are all aware of whats happening #also we gotta stop acting like mr riordan is some underdog in this situation #hes written one of the most successful teen lit series of all time #and in disney's current quirky girl phase of grasping hold of anything that already has a following #of COURSE they snatched this shit up #''Percy Jackson. A Disneyplus original.''#do you have any idea just how much theyre salivating to have their name attached to this series?#(tbf the books were owned by disney too. but a streaming service makes their link to the franchise all the more evident)#anyway. maybe i sometimes get a little bitter when i think about all the original projects in production that were abruptly cancelled #usually because of the current fear to take risks and put something new into the world #and then i remember adaptions like are going ahead #there is no risk associated the pjo series. the first few books are relatively squeaky clean for a teenage audience #this is a comfortable direction for them to go in #''but but but theres gay people in it'' hush. disney is not afraid of captilizing on the gay experience #also im pretty sure the gay people dont show up until like. 8 books in #thats 8 seasons #can you imagine #''guys we need to keep giving this show our support so we can eventually get solanjello (or whatever its called)''#ooooh theyre quite evil. very interesting #even tho like. dont worry you'll get your gay people eventually. you'll get all your book adaptions. you'll get all those seasons.#this franchise is disneys new pet #you can smell it #the hype. the cast announcements. the promotion #LIN MANUEL MIRANDA???#theyre going to squeeze every last drop of engagement they can get out of it

In 2022: My Chemical Romance performed their eighteenth show of the 2022-2023 Swarm tour in Berlin, Germany. At this show, Gerard Way wore a yellow clown costume covered in brown grease, and a sheet of paper with the joke "What did one toilet say to the other? You look a bit flushed" typed on it was taped to the drums. (🖤)

Libraries for decades have separated out collections intended for young adults or teenagers (roughly ages 12 through 18), and decorate these books, CDs, DVDs, and so on with spine labels. Of these two "Young Adult" options, which one is best suited to public library shelves? Please envision a corner of the library with funky shelving, squashy seating, and a chip bag on the floor in the corner, or your favorite public library.

A young Paul Darrow turns up to lend an expert opinion, as Omar, a conservationist at an Istanbul museum, in The Saint: The Gadic Collection (5.27, ITC, 1967)

#fave spotting #paul darrow #kerr avon #blake's 7 #the saint #blakes 7 #itc #classic tv #1967 #the gadic collection #he's so baby!#this was an early credit for Paul‚ in fact the earliest work I've seen of his #he'd actually just finished his first regular role‚ having done a year on Emergency Ward 10‚ but if any of those episodes survive and if #network included any of them on their old releases (sob rip) then i didn't get to them (must go back and finish at some point)#guest spots would become his bread and butter for a while‚ with his B7 immortality still a decade away #he's playing a Turkish museum worker here (and he'd be playing an Egyptian in his next part for Virgin of the Secret Service) but he #doesn't appear to be particularly made up (that top pic is just poorly lit) which is a relief. the same cannot be said sadly for the #episode's main guest star Peter Wyngarde‚ here painted dark brown in truly one of the most offensive‚ most extreme examples #of an incredibly shameful aspect of old tv #so that's that on s5 of The Saint! and clearly this is the season to go to if you're looking for blorbos!#we had a doctor‚ a rani‚ a master and a polly from dw #two Champions‚ a Callan‚ and Mrs. Hopkirk and Jeff Randall #plus Edward Hammond‚ Jason King‚ and one very cute cat #let's hope s6 has some surprises in store...
