It's been a little while, and I completely forgot to share this as I drew it back in May in the middle of my BVA HONS degree, I wanted to share it now...

I was listening to the theme song of the Australian TV series H2O: just add water, and of course, I was also thinking about @e-vay girl Aurora. And that being, I drew her human design as a Mermaid ( some of the mer design inspired by the tops and Tails of the girls from H2O).

This was a fun one to draw, and I do apologise that I didn't share it earlier, but I was quite busy at the time.

Okay merpeople, listen up!

I have three weeks at home where I will be barely bothered whatsoever, so I decided to challenge myself to write and make a video game. Or an interactive visual novel, if you will. And of course, it's H2O themed.

If you ever played a "choose your own adventure" kind of game, it's kinda like that. You get a character, get a story and you make choices that lead to different endings. So I'd like to hear what would y'all think is cool...

I AM leaning more towards the third since I don't wanna get sued... But ehm, whatever

What do you think of Jeffrey Katzenberg and Michael Eisner?

Oh these two don't get me started on the drama they caused during the '80s, 90s amd 2000s at Disney, they are both pieces of work that have more cons than Pro

At least with Walt Disney or any of them they have shit that balances out the bad these guys they were just flat out me me me,

You know why DreamWorks was founded? because Jeffrey over here kept bragging about a job that he was going to have after the fact his so-called friend who had had the job before died in a helicopter crash!

It wasn't even a week later this asshole was walking around bragging about how he was going to get the job when they told him no and in fact fired him that's when he went and founded DreamWorks,

He also told animators to edit out scenes in the '80s when everything was still hand drawn, you couldn't edit out scenes. He was so obstinate on this that they had to get Eisner to stop him from destroying the film because he wouldn't listen to the animators behind it -.-

Also, blame Jeffrey for the reason why we do not have 2D animation in Disney anymore he tossed it out the window, and I quote because there is no money in it.

Jeffrey is definitely on my shit list I want to respect him but how can I respect him when he won't even listen to animators when they try to tell him you can't do certain things.

Eisner was a train wreck of a CEO did you know crime at the parks literally spiked, a kid was shot and killed in the Disneyland parking lot because of gang activity because of all the clubs he had added to the parks for teenagers and yes adults if you went to what they called Pleasure Island yes they had a land called Pleasure Island, it even had a lingerie store themed after Jessica Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit was actually the one sitting on the archway to the island,

I will say the majority of teens have good memories about one specific club called Videoopolis. However, the rest of the clubs were known for being well, not so good,

Team members of gangs would go to these clubs and hire kids out of them this went on for years,

He renamed the Zippity Doo Dah ride to Splash Mountain not because they were retheming it to actually fit the H2O splash mermaid movie. No, he just renamed it because he wanted to,

If anybody got a swift kick in the ass from Mickey Mouse, it would be Eisner. He about bankrupted the company a few times because originally no Hong Kong and Paris were absolutely bleeding money when they were initially built because they went so badly over budget because of Eisner!

He was a stubborn hard ass of a man who if anybody told him no he would throw a temper tantrum and figure out how to make it work anyways,

But the worst of the worst I will bring his name in is still chapek somehow chapek has beaten Eisner for being the worst CEO so Eisner isn't my most I do not like you on my list of Disney staffers but he's damn near close.

hi so um. I wrote a hypothetical Wikipedia article for the waves that lap the shore. Hope yall enjoy.

The Waves that Lap The Shore 

The Waves That Lap The Shore is British-American Octonauts X H2O: Just Add Water crossover that first started airing on October 15th 2023 on Netflix (US) and BBC (UK). 

It started off as a Fanfiction posted on Tumblr, AO3 and Wattpad. However, the author and show creator, Kitty.L. Wayne (more known by her online usernames, Kittysboba and Asexual-SpongeBob) got permission to make it into a show. 

It was produced by Mainframe Studios, Silvergate Media and Brown Bag Films and was written Kitty . L. Wayne.

The theme song “No Ordinary Girl” is by Kate Alexa, The same theme song as second season of H2O. The end credits song is the Mako Mermaids (or otherwise, Mako: Island Of Secrets) theme song. 

It is also well known for rock music to be used as background music, a notable example being Weezer’s “Only In Dreams” being used in an episode of the same name. 

Its first season is still currently airing and has 20 episodes planned, 19 of which have aired. 

Surprisingly, unlike most Octonauts episodes it’s one big episode. No segments.

These episodes can range from 10 -24 minutes depending on the episode.

Not to mention, unlike both shows it’s based on, It is rated TV-14 for usage of cursing and mental health issues. 

It was renewed for a second season in late January of 2024. 

The show takes place in Ireland (first half of season one) and Australia (second half of season one + beyond)

Plot: 

The Octonauts go to Ireland to study sea creatures, Shellington stumbles upon some mysterious sea caves while going for a walk and decides to check it out. Little does he know this would change him, his partner’s  and friends lives forever. 

Trivia:

Surprisingly, in this show there is romantic relationships. Unlike one of the shows it’s based on, Octonauts. Those relationships being Shellso, Twashi and Kwazini. Shellso being the most shocking to fans.

Not to mention its inclusion of LGBTQIA+/ Queer themes. And mental health issues. 

Both Kwazii and Paani have ADHD.

Kwazii and Paani are also Demisexual and Demiromantic.

Shellington is autistic and he is also a trans man. He is also bi. 

Peso was the first person to find out about Shellington being a merman.

In the US dub, Peso can be heard cursing in Spanish, for example at the end of Kisses Of Ash he is seen saying “Sí. Estamos cansados de cojones.” Which translates to “Yes. We are tired as fuck.” However in the UK version he just says cuss words in English.

Peso has AUDHD and is transmasc (he/it) and is also gay. 

Kisses Of Ash is based off the h2o episode “Bad Moon Rising”.

Paani becomes a merperson in episode twenty, as seen in the trailer for the episode.

The weirdest episode was episode two, “The Quest For Mussels” , where we see Shellington slurping out the flesh from mussels. It is also considered the grossest episode by fans and writer themself, Kitty.

In this show, Kwazii has RSD. It was confirmed in episode 18 “The Disappearance”. 

Shellington has the same power as Cleo, Peso as the same power as Emma and Kwazii has the same power as Rikki.

It took awhile for Shellington to discover his power over water, while it didn’t take long for Kwazii, Peso and Paani. 

Many people were shocked to find out that the series is rated TV 14. 

It was first released in the US and UK.

Rock Lobster by the B52’s can be heard in episode 15.

Shellington is seen listening to Weezer’s “Why Bother” in episode 12.

Kwazii likes the Spice Girls.

Tweak and Kwazii are seen singing Sublime’s “Smoke Two Joints” in episode 13.

Professor Inkling didn’t make his first appearance until episode 5.

Paani is seen listening to Nirvana’s “Scentless Apprentice” in episode 19.

1. miraculous: tales of ladybug and cat noir. this one is obvious since it's my life and joy I love it so much!!! and Marinette is my favourite character ever (yes even before Barbie)

2. speaking of Barbie, I love all her shows, especially life in the dreamhouse

3. the good place. I don't even know how many times I've watched it, it's a comfort show for me

4. top chef, as in the french TV contest. I love watching it every Wednesday even though it kills me every time they make foie gras (also I got an Instagram DM from one of the contestants this year so it makes me really happy lol)

5. H2O just add water. I have to admit I've kind of fallen out of the fandom but I watched it with my sister and I think it's a really nice mermaid show and very iconic

6. grouping these ones together but Glee, Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars are some shows I've watched like a decade after everyone else and even though they're not all that good they're really fun to watch

7. Black mirror. it's the first show I watched on netflix after my gf gave me access to their account so it has a special place in my heart. some of the eps really fucked me up tho I couldn't sleep and/or got nightmares after watching them so. that's fun 🙃

8. iZombie is a good example of a recurrent theme in my life which is watching/listening to something after seeing my dad do it. and then not regretting it because he does have ok taste lol

I want to start a band but I can't come up with a name. Do you have any suggestions for me?

For some reason the first thing that popped into my head was 'Thunderdome' -- although maybe that's because that was the title of my last band's first release.

Other than that, there are a lot of good band names out there. You could look for band names that a band has done a good job of claiming as its own (e.g. Blink-182 / Coheed and Cambria)

There's also the option of having a vague "type" or "situation" name, like a Ska or Britpop band

If you're in a science-themed band I would recommend looking up words in IUPAC. Try coming up with acronyms for elements that form part of a simple chemical compound -- for instance, "amphetamines" = "A.M.P.H.E.T.A.M.I.N.E.S.." You could also adapt the ending of a chemical compound if you find a good name but are lacking an "element": for instance, "H2O" is water, "O2" is air, etc. (You could also try deriving new compound names from established compounds, but I don't have many suggestions in that category.)

Then there's the James Joyce type stuff, of which I'm far from an expert, but it seems like you could pretty easily get a band name out of one of his works, like "The Grotesque" or "A Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man."

There's also "Irrational" which is the name of the math student group I used to belong to (and also the title of one of my favorite songs)

All of the above give you a lot of options without necessarily being too common. (It's much harder to get a common name if you go with a more obscure book title or a long chemical compound name -- unless the band is really successful, people are going to just call the band "Water" rather than taking the time to figure out what that name means.)

(I'm assuming you want a band name in English, if that's not the case let me know and I'll try to think of something)

EDIT: Hah, I just realized I gave you some more band name options and yet didn't take the opportunity to tell you I'm in a band -- well, I'm going to remedy that now. My band is called The Irrationals, and most of our music is sort of "pop math rock" (i.e. kind of like Sarah and the Safeword or Appendix, not necessarily mathy in the sense of "just instrumental music"). I tend to listen to the kind of math rock that's rhythmically more laid back than the kind that's hugely complicated in a technical sense (i.e. either The Decemberists or The Decemberists if The Decemberists were on drugs), but I've been trying to incorporate more of the stuff I'm listening to these days (like Akatsuki Jazz-Trio and/or City Mouse).
