"Think before you speak" Alicent, his mother, told him once after her hand had collided with his face.

But in order to do so, Aegon first had to learn how to listen. He'd never liked listening to others. He saw no point in learning anything from them. Prince Aegon had his own ways of moving through life.

"If you ever wish to know what it is to be well satisfied, all you have to do is ask." The Prince said as he made his way back to his seat.

From the corner of his eye, he could see his wife's pained expression. She didn't say anything, only stared down at her hands that were resting in her lap, fingers digging in. Angry tears threatening to spill from her dark brown eyes.

The woman made no move, even when her younger brother, Jace, slammed his hands on the table as he got up. All she did was shake her head from side to side, teeth clamping down on her tongue until she could taste the blood.

Not long after, music filled the room, expelling the silence. The Princess had turned to stare at her brother and aunt who were dancing, with a sad look on her face. The things she'd give to have Aegon offer his hand to her the way Jacaerys had done to Halaena. Instead, her husband was staring down the two, taking sip after sip from his cup.

The word echoed in her head. She turned to look at Aegon, eyes urging him to do something. Say something. Anything.

The wolfish grin on his face said enough. He wouldn't stand up for her, wouldn't protect her from his brother's harsh, cruel words.

The Princess rose to her feet, muttering excuses as she walked past her brother and out of the room.

As she reached the door, a loud bang came from behind her. The woman turned around, a shocked gasp tearing through her bloodied lips. Aegon was holding Luke by the neck, pinning him down on the table. Aemond shoved Jace, the boy falling to the ground then quickly getting back up.

She used the moment to slip past the heavy doors.

She stared down at the burning logs in the fireplace, her grip on the book she was holding turning deadly as the doors flew open.

"Oh, how did you get here before me?" Aegon giggled as he made his way over to her, feet stumbling.

He was drunk. Again.

"I left hours ago." She sighed as she closed the book.

"You did?" The Prince let out a confused sound. "When?"

"Shortly before you slammed my brother's head into the table."

Aegon came to stand before her. He took the book from her hands and placed it on the table next to her. Then, ever so slowly, he sunk down to his knees, chin coming to rest on her leg.

"Well, the little twat deserved it." His finger went under the skirts of her dress, then trailed up. "Not my fault he doesn't know his place."

The woman squeezed her thighs together before his finger could go any further. She looked away from the man.

His brows furrowed, a look of puzzlement and slight hints of anger twisting his fine features.

"Are you angry with me, wife?"

She bit down on her tongue once more, blood gushing out of the fresh wound.

"No." The word came out as a whisper. "Just disappointed..."

His hands dissappeared from under her dress. Aegon grabbed her wrists with one hand, the other reaching for her face. Nails dug down as he turned her to look him in the eyes.

"Come again?" He hissed out, thumb rubbing over her bottom lip.

The woman pushed him away, Aegon falling on his back. Then she got up, leaving him to stare up at her in shock.

"First you offer your bed to my cousin, the one that is to marry my brother." She took a step towards him, Aegon crawling away. "Then your fucking brother insults me and my family in front of everyone."

Another step. Her tongue darted out of her mouth, licking away the blood that was trailing down her chin.

"You lay your filthy hands on my brother..." His back hit the wall. "...And now on me?"

Her knee met Aegon's face, blood splattering everywhere. The Prince sobered up fast. There was no anger left in him. Just fear. And desire. And lust.

"I am strong, husband." She said as she kicked him in the ribs, the man curling in a ball. "I am a Strong."

Aegon tried to hide his face, to hide himself from her.

But there was nowhere to hide. Not now. She'd been so patient with him. So understanding. She never demanded anything. Let him run around, chasing his whores. Let him drink himself stupid, then crawl into her bed. In her.

Her fingers ran through his silver-white hair. Then the hand formed into a fist. She pulled him up.

"Harwin Breakbones' blood runs through my veins. You know it just as well as I do." Aegon hissed, hands reaching for the one that had pulled him back on his knees. "Trust me, next time you do something like that..."

Aegon's ears started ringing. She'd slapped him. Hard. Harder than anyone had ever struck him before.

"...I will..." Followed by another slap. "...break..."

Aegon groaned as she pulled him up, so he could stand on his feet. Then she slammed the same hand she'd used to pull him, against his throat. The Prince's head smacked against the wall behind him. She squeezed.

"...each and every bone in your body."

With how close she was to him, Aegon could feel her breath fanning over his neck. He choked as her grip got bruisingly strong. Small white dots appearing in front of his eyes, hiding her angry face from him.

"Strip." The woman said. "That's why you came here in the first place, right?"

Two shaking hands reached for the clasps of his doublet. Aegon undid them quickly, letting the piece fall to the ground as he tried to unbutton his undershirt.

"You wish to act like a wild, uncivilized whore..." She pushed him away, tearing through the buttons of his silk tunic and making them fly out in all directions. "So be fucking it. You'll be treated as such."

A sound came from deep inside her chest. She was laughing. A low, short laugh. Her hands dropped back to her side.

Then they went back up, to Aegon's breeches.

This happened a couple of days ago.

So I'm hanging out with the friend who knows about the t-thing. So that day she must have had the tickle bug cause oh my lordt she could not stop tickling me bro.

My sides are killer. You can't even like tap them without my soul getting yeeted out each time. I often like yelp "gentle, gentle" as a way to get softer tickles (she doesn't tickle hard at all it's just that she does do things so quick my body just can't react lmfao.) Okay so I did feel the hero intros were rushed. But I was very entertained.

I wish they didnt bulk intro the other heroes. It feels like they got robbed. But I did enjoy the akuma and the set up.

The ending was also good.

The lesson of the day was obvious but that was expected. It was a lot more fun

8 out of 10.

If the other heroes were more fleshed out and Ivan and Sabrina were given more personality I feel like this would be higher.

You can always look at the rocks on the way, and he if he knew what it meant, then he’d call you photogenic. You both like to wonder and exchange what creatures lay beyond Vegas, or how the others are back in Arizona. He tells you not to worry about them and what’s happening in the now.

Big stronk man is very busy. And the only time he ever really is ‘off work’ is when he steps out of his office to monitor the other legionaries that are training and patrolling. Big Decanus is NOT on the the soft side. He’s dedicated to his work, and he won’t stop for distractions. That is until you come into the barracks, sitting on the bed talking about your day. The others know that your close to Dead Sea, so they all tolerate you. Maybe even enjoy your presence, they ask what you did. That’ll get Dead Sea to shoo them out and lock the door behind them. Believe it or not, he’ll lay down with you. Complaining about how the legionaries he works with, just stand around. Sticking w/ the narrative that you’re an adeptus / illuminated beast, it makes sense that you’d be familiar with Zhongli! Considering how you stick around humans like Ganyu or Yanfei, it shouldn’t be too unusual to see you around Liyue harbor with the archon-turned-funeral consultant.

Zhongli being Zhongli, he probably is super learned when it comes to maintaining your wings. Every now and then, he’ll have you sit on a stool in front of him while he stands behind you, preening your wings and correcting any misaligned feathers. He probably goes on tangents and talks about anything while he does this lmao.

He would accompany you when you buy oils to care for your wings! Although he probably wouldn’t be able to pay for it for you, he’d still be able to help you choose the best ones for your feathers.

He doesn’t treat you any differently, since he isn’t surprised or shocked that you have wings (since, you know, he was / is Rex Lapis) so he’d treat you as normally as he would anyone else.

Ik this can sound anticlimactic, but in your experience, when you go to places or meet people who have never seen a winged being not trying to do any harm, they’re usually so surprised, and may distance themselves from you in caution, or they may be too chummy with you in curiosity.

Zhongli treating your wings as if they were just a regular part of you –nothing to make a fuss about, nothing to gawk over– is such a breath of fresh air.

If he has an errand to run in the wild to procure things for funerals, you usually come with him. 

One of the reasons why he invites you is because you typically make the gathering easier, and a little less risky to his mortal form. After all, with your wings, he doesn’t have to risk his own wellbeing scaling cliffs for qinxin flowers or violet grass.

Your wings and your expert control makes it all too easy for you to fly him and yourself up to wherever he needs to go, and despite the strength of each flap of your wings, you’re careful to not blow away and damage any of the flora he needs.

But a big big big reason why he’d he’d want you around is because you’re always so enthusiastic to listen to his stories, and you always remember the details he tells you, too. Its not often that this happens–– sometimes some Liyue women would try to converse with him in hopes of catching his interest, but they typically gave up whenever he would begin his long-winded explainations.

That’s why he was pleasantly surprised when he met you (who was not of the female populus!!! How rare!1!1) who was so happy to listen to him. Funny enough, it was this that actually made him interested in you. Zhongli is very glad for your presence, too, and he never fails to bring you along with him.

Albedo would be so curious about your wings!

When he first meets you, he’s cordial and polite ofc, but its so obvious that he can’t keep his eyes off your wings. You’re probably the first adeptus / illuminated beast he’s ever met.

He probably won’t ask you if you’re willing to let him run some tests on you right off the bat tho, since he’s worried you might say no. When you two are more acquainted, then he’ll ask!

He’s a little shy and hesitant too, not wanting to intimidate you with the words ‘test’ or ‘experiments.’ Listen to his voice line where he asks the traveller if he can do some research on Paimon–– same vibe. 

He’ll be so excited if you accept, even if he doesn’t show i! DOing experiments and gathering data on you and your wings becomes his top priority, and he schedules it with you ASAP.

He’s sure to bring you somewhere where you wont be bothered and where you can fully stretch out your wings. Maybe dragonspine, or somewhere near Wolvendom.

The experiments and data Albedo wants to gather isn’t insane–– he mostly wants to know things like your maximum speed, you initial velocity, the shape of your wings + how they affect your flight, the strength behind your wings, how well you can control them and the like.

At one point when you take a small break, you offer to carry him! he accepts ofc because this can be a learning experience, but he really really enjoys it! He’s so enamored by the brids-eye view of the landscape that only you (and he, right now) could see. He’ll probably ask you to fly him up again, just so that he could sketch it!

Speaking of, he’d ask you if its okay to sketch your wings, too, so he can get an idea of how they work. If you’re alright with it, he’ll ask you to remove your shirt so he can see where the wings connect to your back. 

Albedo spends so much time sketching and asking you to pose your wings in different ways, so he can see the extent of their flexibility. He probably touches them, if you’re down, to see what the textures and hardness of the feathers are like. 

Honestly, the experience and looking back at the sketches really highlights to him how astounding your form was.

He’ll probably ask if you have any similarities in terms of behaviour with male birds of other species, and it’s up to you to discuss the similarities and differences with him.

While you two are up in Dragonspine, you get concerned about him getting cold, since you’re easily warmed by your personal cocoon of feathers, so you bring Albedo into your chest and into the blanket of your wings to warm him up. Both of you enjoy it immensely.

Let’s call you that. That’s not your name, but it fits well enough. You’re tall, blonde, handsome, have a gruff, lovely beard, stronk (I assume) and again, handsome. Also funny and quite the charmer, when you actually talk to me. Which brings me to my point.

I have so much to say to you, so much to tell you, so much I want to speak with you about. You’ve inspired me so much, there’s so much I want to ask you, question you about, hear your opinion on and stories and such. I could go on. But we’re not in touch. We talked about playing music, particularly playing guitar. I was struck by how your parents didn’t want this for you, not before at least you started at boarding school. I must admit, I’m intrigued and in awe and I want to hear more, literally, I want to listen to you play and sing, and not just on the recordings which make me cringe a little bit but also makes my heart flutter, you know? It’s the oddest sensation. And then when you sent me a particular song of yours and before that you told me that a piece of my writing inspired you, that you wanted to write music for it, something along the lines –or notes or rhythm– of that particular song, well, it was new to me, it wasn’t what I had envisioned, not that I had envisioned anything at all for that particular work I’ve done, but for my other “scriptures”, if you will, I imagined something a bit more… classical or folky? Like Agnes Obel or Anna von Hauswolff, at least, that’s what I aspire to… but again, the track you sent me, when I heard it and you described how you’d change it and briefly described what you’d do differently, well, I felt it. I could hear it, and I want it. I want it so badly. It would be a dream come true, but I told you this, didn’t I? That it was –and still is– a dream of mine to have music written to my words, either inspired by or just that, written to my words with them in mind and accompanied by… a musician's tunes.

Back to the notion that your parents didn’t really want you to play music, or at least weren’t keen on it, but rather had you learn dancing for whatever reason. But also the notion that they didn’t enjoy listening to your noisy attempts and playing because, well, it surely didn’t sound particularly good right at the beginning. Well. Both of those things, or all three or however many little bits there are to pick, all of the above remind me of my own father’s childhood. He basically had to sit in a cupboard to practice playing the clarinet, because otherwise his father would scold or tease him for how awful it sounded. Like someone pulling the tail of a cat, he said. I feel so sorry for that. Both for the hypothetical cat, but also for my father, and you, for those miserable practice moments. That’s not what anyone needs. But also, my father went to dancing lessons too as a child, and I have to say that it’s quite… peculiar. Quite an interesting set of… occurrences that correlate between you and my dad.

Did I tell you about my great aunt? I forget her name, but she was a violinist. I’m… sure she was quite good, I believe for a period of time she played with an assembly of musicians, if I didn’t misunderstand the story. Apparently, in regard to appearance, I take after her. Something about my eyes and smile, my more closely related aunt said, well, told me when she was looking at a picture of her. She showed me the picture too. This woman in her black robes and hair tied in a bun, again I apologize if I remember wrongly, but I must admit, the resemblance was uncanny. It was obvious that it wasn’t me, but it was also fairly obvious that we were, or surely are, related. How funny is that? And there aren’t any other musical people in my lineage or ancestry or however you say.

This story of her, and story of yours, and the conversation we had, well, it prompted me to pick up my guitar again and start playing. That was another thing I wanted to tell you. While you were away on your trip, hunting deer and wild boar, well, I picked up and started plucking at my guitar. The first day was rubbish and I didn’t really enjoy it much, but the day after I tried again, and it was as if everything came to me, bit by bit. It was as if, what my fingers had learned all those many years ago, 10+ to tell you the truth, well, they picked it up again, as if remembered. As if they were suddenly lost in thought, lost in a not particularly recent, but rather a distant time, where worries and obligations were fewer and farther between, only school assignments and boys and oh who am I fooling it hasn’t really changed a bit… but my point is, time has undoubtedly passed, I can’t wear the same clothes I wore then, I have new relationships and my hair is no longer blond but red… but my fingers seem to be the same, and the memories in them when they strike the strings of my guitar. I quickly clipped my nails, this had to be done, and then… and then, song after song, as if beckoning the tunes and melodies forth, they all came along as if it were only yesterday that I had played them last.

Of course, it took a few times, I needed to warm up, to recognize the rhythm and tempo and such, but essentially the fact remains and the story is this: My fingers remembered the songs. I was watching them go with wonder and awe, and somehow… for some reason, I wished for you to see me play. I wish for you to know this. I wish to thank you for not at all urging me to return to music in this way and fashion, but for showing heartfelt interest and sincerity and awakening this intrigue and curiosity in me to return, to see what it could be, what it could become… what could become of me, if I branched out to this old realm of creativity.
