Cheetara: The Fast and the Fearless by Jade Gretz

Cheetara raced through the dense, fog-laden jungle, her heart pounding in sync with the rhythmic thud of her footsteps. The once-vibrant landscape of Third Earth was now shrouded in an eerie silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant hum of machinery. The air was thick with tension, as if the very land knew of the impending doom that loomed on the horizon.

She could sense them—an army of robotic invaders, marching with relentless precision, their metallic footsteps shaking the ground. They were coming for her people, for the Thundercats, and for the very heart of their sanctuary. These were no ordinary foes; they were cold, calculated, and devoid of mercy. They sought nothing but total annihilation, and they would stop at nothing until they had crushed all resistance.

Cheetara's mind raced as fast as her body, strategizing her next move. She had to warn the others, to rally the Thundercats and prepare for the battle that was sure to come. But deep down, she knew that this fight would be unlike any they had faced before. These invaders were not driven by greed, power, or conquest—they were driven by a single, insidious purpose: to destroy.

The jungle opened up into a wide clearing, and Cheetara skidded to a halt. Before her stood the ancient ruins of a forgotten civilization, their stone pillars towering into the sky like skeletal fingers grasping at the clouds. The ruins had always been a place of mystery, a remnant of a time long past, but now they served as a grim reminder of the fate that awaited her people if they failed to stop the invaders.

She took a deep breath, her senses heightened as she scanned the area. The air was heavy with the scent of decay, and the silence was deafening. But something was off—there was a presence here, something dark and malevolent lurking in the shadows. Cheetara's eyes narrowed as she focused on the darkness, her instincts telling her that danger was near.

Without warning, a rusted metal hand shot out from the shadows, clawing at her with razor-sharp fingers. More Babies Headcanons ~

Post-Season 2 Headcanons feat. Lion-O and Tygra as Dads:

We’ll start with King Lion-O and his children. :3

Lion-O and Kit have fraternal twins (male and female, just like Kit/Kat and their younger siblings). But I’ve already said that.

They name their eldest boy Wilycub and firstborn/eldest girl Claudia (Clawdia?) because she made it out ahead of her brother and Lion-O wanted to name his firstborn after his father.

Possibly Wilycub is named after or in the tradition of Kit’s dad?

I’ve already bleated my preference for Lion-O’s kids to inherit Kit’s lighter coloring because white lions, guys! ...But lately I’ve been growing fond of Claudia closely resembling Lion-O’s mother, too, so.

Two fluffy snowballs running around are still great!

One fluffy snowball and one (half) lioness who could be Lion-O’s mother’s identical twin are also great!

I have this mental scenario in my head where Wilykit’s first pregnancy results in cubs (because Lion-O is a big cat), but since Kit’s body is built for kittens, she has a hard time of it; so she and Lion-O plan their next pregnancy with the use of technology to ensure the next set of twins will be kittens.

Their cubs have Lion-O’s ears, and do not have tails; and their kittens have Kit’s ears as well as tails.

One of those tails is fluffy like Kit’s, and the other is a lion’s tail.

I have Third Earth-sized headcanons on the differences between kittens and cubs, and the genetics of breeding between different cat clans, but that warrants its own post lol. Also it's probably totally wrong and the cats procreate exactly like humans because that fits well with canon.

Now to throw Bengali’s father into the mix!

Tygra expects to make an incredible father since he’s “perfect,” but like being king he totally fails (has a rocky relationship with Bengali, friction in his family, &c); Lion-O initially doubts his ability to father (the way he doubted his ability to king &c), but is wonderful with his and Kit’s twins. If Tygra is resurrected after Mumm-Ra’s defeat, he solicits fatherhood advice from little brother Lion-O, and ultimately they forge a new relationship and bond (finally!!) over being dads.

Also Bengali idolizes Lion-O because of all the stories he heard growing up before finally meeting the king. I just really like this dynamic, especially before Lion-O and Wilykit fall in love, so there's Mumm-Ra and time travel and his brother apparently had a cub and now that kid is hero-worshipping Lion-O and following him around and family and Lion-O really just can't take all that right now.

Now I’m curious so does liono meet the tiger clan before tygra? I know Caspian is not helping but what’s the relationship with the rest of the clan like between liono and the tigers? Maybe Javan? It’s funny Claudus adored tygra so much more when I saw Javan he was different not stern but protective and nicer I thought jeez this guy would’ve been the better dad to liono but off topic just curious seeing h mentioned that liono sees more of how Thundera really did fail system wise. Ironic how the tigers were exiled for favoring mumra I believe and all of thundera including Claudus adores Tygra over liono and would’ve wanted him as king.

No actually~ Tygras actually the one who makes first contact. Him and Cheetarah scout the mountains instead, while Panthero and the cubs stay behind.

However, the moment Tygra enters, the spirits of evil sense his presence in the caves. So they order Mumm Ra to deal with him, and he decided to send Liono for a "family reunion".

I shan't spoil how, but Liono did manage to bring the Tiger clan to Mumm Ras side, bolstering their numbers. He takes on more of a leadership to the clan, after Javan escaped with Tygra, and joined the Thundercats. Liono acts as an ambassador of sorts for the Tiger clan and Mumm Ra.

The love and care that Javan gave Tygra might have, in another world, save Liono and helped him through his emotional turmoil. But here, Javan had no chance of pulling Liono from Mumm Ras clutches. And once Tygra shows up, his only mission is to save his son.

The Tigers were also their own worse enemy, believing that the outside wouldn't help them lead them further to their downfall. But now the entire clan enters a new world. One where the divide is prominent, and they can stand amongst some of their fellow felines once more.

Some family headcanons for Lion-O having a twin sister?

Assuming this is for Thundercats, I’ll just go with the new Thundarcats - it’s fresher in my memory.

Twin Sister for Lion-o (Thundercats)

After having been without having a blood child of their own, the Queen and King were both accepting that they would not have children by birth. They had Tygra, a son they were grateful for. Children by birth would be nice, but not necessary.

To have twins mere years later, both healthy and alive, was nothing short of a miracle for the royal family. Cheers and celebrations erupted across the kingdom at the announcement of the miraculous birth of a strong princess and prince for weeks, and the capital city was alight with festivities that echoed off the walls.

Between the twins is a competitive but close bond that stands unbreakable. Despite their knack for getting into trouble (or looking for trouble as Tygra puts it) they share an equally powerful knack for getting out of it. More often than not it is Lion-o who gets the deeper of the lectures - a Crown Prince shouldn’t do this, destiny rests on your shoulders, etc - but sister is there to defend him from their father’s words, rising to claim responsibility when it’s right.

Few people know Lion-o’s insecurities better than his sister. She is the eager ear that hears every anxiety that grips his heart, and gladly dispels them for him. She knows him better than arguably any in the family, as his one closest friend his age he’s really allowed to have.

Likewise, Lion-o is fiercely protective of his sister, happy to spend time with the only person in the family who really “gets” him. They tease each other and get on their nerves from time to time, but the fact he has anyone who is willing to treat him normally and not like a prince is greatly appreciated.

Tygra and Lion-o’s conflict exists the same here as it would in any other universe - the pain of having your place in the family taken is still strong even if there’s an unexpected sister. The presence of a sister also does immediately negate having an older brother who can be condescending. However, what is unique is that her siblinghood with Tygra would likely be… peaceful. Pleasant, even.

Make no mistake; should she be as rambunctious as Lion-o she will get her fairshare of remarks and teasing jokes (as any rambunctious sister would from any older ‘responsible’ brother). But even then to Tygra it would be more endearing than anything else, possibly annoying if she’s as obvious as Lion-o is about it.

Reluctantly in the corner of his darker thoughts, Tygra knows that her not being a rival for the throne is part of the reason he gets along better with her than with Lion-o. She’s not the one who took his place in the family, she’s the cute little sister who looks up to him and eagerly gets her nose into whatever he’s up to. It’s difficult to say no to his innocent sister’s face.

How close Tygra is exactly with his sister is going to depend on her personality. A sister with Lion-o’s way of being is endearing but may remind him of his brother and grate on his nerves at times just like Lion-o does. A sister who is studious, or just as dedicated to making the family would be a sister he would get along better than he would a troublemaker.

Regardless of personality, Tygra would be fiercely protective of her as he would with any member of his family. There is that extra level of being the older brother and thus being “responsible” for his younger siblings that makes him all the fiercer in defending his sister. Double if his sister somehow doesn’t know how to fight at all. Should she know combat he still has to be reminded to back off a bit. If she doesn’t, he’s protecting her AND teaching her how to fight later.

Sister dearest in all this is caught up in her family’s dramas. Her closeness to her brothers is both good and viewed as bad at times when the brothers are fighting. She can play peacemaker (not that she should every time - it’s not her job and no sibling should have to be the one dealing with the mental exhaustion of ALWAYS being the peacekeeper) but there are times where it can backfire.

Should she decide to tell them (and she should) how draining their fights are and how it’s not fair for them, or her, or the team, to deal with constant fighting in a situation that is already high stress the brothers would get a good bucket of wake-up on their heads.

Overall, the three siblings would be dangerously close, especially over the course of their journey as they start putting aside differences. The three of them absolutely get into trouble, especially if they can drag Tygra into it. Worst of all when it’s just Lion-O and sister, people know who is responsible. If Tygra is involved, no one will ever know what happened.

Cheetara and the Amulet of Shadows

The skies over Thundera were a deep, swirling gray, the kind that foretold of impending storms. The air was heavy with the scent of rain and ozone, a tangible pressure that weighed down on the land. The vibrant landscape, usually bathed in the golden light of the sun, was cast in an eerie, shadowed hue. The great Thundertank rumbled through the wilderness, its powerful engines cutting through the silence as it navigated the rocky terrain.

Cheetara sat in the passenger seat, her amber eyes scanning the horizon with a mixture of anticipation and unease. Her golden fur, sleek and smooth, rippled with the breeze that flowed through the open window. Her senses, honed to near-perfection, were alert to every shift in the atmosphere, every change in the environment. Something was coming—something dark, something that had been lurking at the edges of her perception for days now.

The others were oblivious, focused on the task at hand. Panthro was at the controls, his hands steady on the wheel, his eyes sharp and focused. Tygra sat in the back, engrossed in a data pad filled with schematics of the ancient ruins they were heading to. Lion-O, the young lord of the ThunderCats, stood at the hatch, peering out into the distance with a mix of curiosity and determination. Even Snarf, usually so attuned to the emotions of the group, seemed distracted, his attention divided between the scenery and the small bundle that lay wrapped in cloth at Cheetara’s feet.

It was an amulet, ancient and ornate, made of a metal that seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it. The intricate patterns etched into its surface told of a forgotten era, a time before even the oldest legends of Thundera. They had found it in the ruins of an ancient temple deep within the Forest of Sorrows, buried beneath layers of dust and debris. It was beautiful, in a way, but there was something unsettling about it—something that made Cheetara’s fur stand on end every time she looked at it.
