this is why this fandom needs to be slapped by the reality that S3 won't be their ~ideal TVL adaptation~ because it can't. Not after they changed many fundamental aspects of Lestat (for instance, his age and age gap with Nicki), not when the trial has been written as his character turning point, and definitely not when we have AMC Louis. they need to be reminded this show is about Louis as well (and also Claudia) unlike the books.

(And this is why I'm okay if the pre-production takes a long time. Because logically, they don't only have to take TVL and break it down, they have to write new stuff for Louis and the modern timeline. Rolin has said the amount of flashback plot will be reduced. And they'll need to scout more locations for the modern timeline as well)
