¿Te gusta experimentar con nuevas técnicas? Conociendo el linograbado.

Estuve lejos del blog por una semana porque había decidido aprender una técnica nueva: el linograbado. Para quienes desconozcan este término, el linograbado es una técnica de impresión tradicional, en donde se talla una imagen sobre la superficie de una placa de linóleo, usando gubias o un cuchillo muy afilado. El diseño final servirá de negativo, y se impregnará de tinta antes de presionarla…

Casper Linocut

"Casper" is an illustration I designed inspired by a cat I rescued a while ago. I named him Casper because he's a white very friendly cat, but he was stray and had an accident and lost one of his eyes, however I rescued him, took him to the vet and fortunately recovered well. So in his honor I drew him and created a lino stamp. This was my first attempt at lino printing and I'm totally happy with the result and can't wait to do another design.

Casper found his forever home and I will always remember him through this lino print and the lovely memories he left on me.

“Mr. Tambourine". Linocut print, carved on a soft linoleum block and pressed into paper with oil paints. I tried different papers and colors but in the end white cardboard and blue paint were my favorites.
