The opening story from @thasminfanzine has a (possibly accidental) ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL comedic beat. Intentional or not, i assume (and was backed up on this) that @eriadu-in-the-wildwood (Layout Designer) is responsible, so very well done to them.

There’s a beautiful heartwarming story from @sapphicsgalaxy ending with the line:

“today had given [Yaz]… a glimmer of hope for whatever the future might have in store for her”

Immediately followed by this image from @lara-jenn:

Hello everyone! Welcome to night eight of the tenth annual Wreck-it Ralph Pin Post Month.

Here we have the WDW, Disney Darlings Collection, Vanellope Von Schweetz, Wreck-it Ralph pin. LE 2500.

This pin was released in October 2023, exclusively in Walt Disney World, as the tenth pin part of the Disney Darlings Collection. A series mostly focusing on Disney Princesses; with the addition of Vanellope from Wreck-it Ralph, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. Each pin featured the character in this doll like art style, standing before a small diorama of their bedroom.

This unique series of pins spanned across the year of 2023, with a new pin being released in Disney World pin shops on a monthly basis. Each of them featuring a similar layout, along with the fun gimmick of this actually being a set of two pins. With Vanellope herself being a separate, detachable pin rather then a pin on pin element. It's not a gimmick that's used as commonly as I personally believe it should as I believe it's one of the easier ones to pull off. As for the pin itself, I like how the creators chose to focus on Vanellope's room from her days as a Glitch on the run as that is who the viewers get to know during the first movie. Not the girl who likely moved into the castle that was always meant to be hers at the end of the movie. A pin like that would've worked better with King Candy in the forefront. Though the thought of King Candy in this art style is not one I want to think about again.

Currently I'm OBSESSED with Aladdin, but I have a bunch of of interests like Lilo and Stitch, Beauty and the Beast, Pjsk (Project Sekai), FNaF (Five Nights at Freddy's), and more!! My favorite character from Aladdin is Genie (If you couldn't tell by my layout) and I self ship with him!! Our ship name is Wishlove!! I'm okay with sharing and I'd love to meet other Genie self shippers!!

We recently researched Treasure Planet, since a friend hadn't seen it before, and I came out with both further appreciation for it and some confusion. So here's a re-review of the movie:

•the blending of 1600's sailing ships with science fiction was always something I loved about the movie and makes it so unique

•the hand painted elements still look amazing and sell it as if it were in a storybook.

•the CGI, like the CGI in Lilo and Stitch, looks both a little weird and entirely fitting simultaneously

•the animation still holds up very well

•the voice acting is phenomenal and all the actors delivered really well

•I noticed that the Spaceport scenes have tons of background characters that are all fully animated and doing their own things. One example is in the scene where Sarah is looking for Jim after the Legacy returns, there are two drunk guys just having a grand old time swaying back and forth together

•the characters are well written, especially the Hawkins family and John Silver. Silver remains to this day one of Disney's best written antagonists in all their movies, and his dynamic with Jim is nothing short of fantastic.

•Speaking of Silver, his suite of prosthetics might actually be fairly new, judging by his comment about them needing some "getting used to"

•Captain Amelia is so wonderful and I fell in love with her character all over again with her quick wit and sarcasm

•To this day I still cannot figure out the layout of the Legacy, and its size hilariously changes in nearly every scene. It's got more hallways than it should really be able to fit in its lower decks. The best way I can describe it is the Pillar of Autumn effect where the passages are 2-3 times the length they should be

•"you can point at Jim Hawkins and say 'fatherless behavior' and it wouldn't be an insult, it's just an observation"

•Jim comes within an inch of dying at least three separate times over the entire movie

•A personal theory of mine is that Flint was a member of the extinct species that created the titular Treasure Planet, but he could also have been just as intuitive as Jim in figuring out how to use the tech

•I'm still pressed that the sequel never got made
