hi! this is lillo, my sweet old doggo. unfortunately he’s got a growth on his cheek: it’s most likely a tumor and he’s going to need surgery (pics under the cut - they’re kind of gross).

i phoned my vet and they gave me an estimate of around 500€, but the actual price for surgery, analyses and meds is going to be much higher. 

luckily i have some cash on hand and hopefully i’ll be able to cover most of the expenses on my own, but i don’t have a job and i was supposed to use that money, which is actually my university grant, to pay for public transport and textbooks (i’m a commuter so public transport is around 100€/month and i guess we all know how pricey uni textbooks are). 

i’m not asking you to cover the whole cost of lillo’s surgery, but i would be really thankful if you could chip in if you have a couple bucks to spare - it would really make my life a little bit easier. even if you can’t donate, please reblog this post, i’d really appreciate it :)

Per favore, NON REBBLOGATE queste foto. Questi sono 4 degli animali che mi hanno accompagnato dall’infanzia alla gioventù. Inizio dal mio cane Max, adottato, quando avevo 10 anni.

Eva Luna è arrivata due anni dopo la scomparsa di Max. Sentivo la mancanza di un animale in casa, ma non volevo un cane. Max doveva essere ed è ancora l’unico cane che ho avuto. Decisi così di prendere un gatto. I miei zii e cugini sotto di me possedevano già un gatto maschio. Per evitare che i due animali entrassero in conflitto, decisi di prendere una gatta femmina. Un mio amico mi parlò di una cucciolata rimasta orfana perchè la mamma era scomparsa poco tempo dopo aver partorito. La padrona doveva nutrire i gattini con un biberon per le bambole. Una settimana dopo, il mio amico porto una gattina, magra, mal nutrita, lunga, con il muso e la coda a punta, che correva come un missile per tutta casa. “Sembra un topo!” Osservai, quando riuscii ad acchiapparla. “Questa diventerà una bella gatta” predisse mia nonna. Ricordando che la micina veniva dopo la dipartita di Max e colpita dalla frase iniziale di “Eva Luna”, uno dei libri di Isabelle Allende, una delle mie scrittrici  preerite, che recitava : “Mi chiamo Eva, che vuol dire VITA, secondo un libro che mia madre consultò per scegliermi il nome”, decisi di chiamare la nuova arrivata EVA LUNA. La micia si rivelò affettuosa e selvaggia, coccolona e dispettosa. Da piccola, svegliava tutti noi attaccandosi alle perti molli di collo e mani per succhiare, come se potesse uscire il latte:

I was at the Town Hall this was said at and I gotta say, it was the cutest thing?? Like this was part of the Q&A and she was very patient and kind with the kid who asked about it. I feel like some of the like... humanity is drained from seeing it as a news post, so I figured I'd add that???

I think we as a fandom moved on a bit too fast from the fact that Snowfall was confirmed to be bisexual and Lynxfall is a very real possibility. Like hell yeah diversity win: the traumatized young adult who's struggling to rule a kingdom after the early passing of her mother and is constantly dealing with paranoia and anxiety is bi!

That is why I wasn't sure about this theory originally actually!!

Like it felt right as a character beat, but I wasn't confident in it cuz I felt like it was too ambiguous. He can be both capturing the sirens and want to spare them if they let his crew go, but it's definitely weaker than the idea that he was always planning to slaughter them all and just wanted to pry them for information first.

But for me, having Poseidon to pair with it makes it feel like a stronger reading? Cuz now it becomes a call forward to Get in the Water/600 Strike, complete with the leitmotif that shows up when Odysseus chooses the monstrous path; that rising and falling sting in the bass.

So, with the Vengeance Saga out and destroying my brain

I wanna just say that it confirmed something I thought back when the Thunder Saga came? Which is that Odysseus is spending MOST of the song of Suffering desperately trying to convince the Siren to leave them be

you get to hear about Queen Rosalia!!

Rosalia is queen of the BeetleWings, and has only been wueen for about five years. She was always the "golden dragonet" of her family, so it was no surprise that she was an excellent queen. She is just, kind, and usually pretty happy to do anything for her subjects.

But, underneath her mask of confidence and ease, she's actually.... not doing so great.

She has anxiety and often has panic attacks in the middle of diplomatic events and other things like that. Luckily, her fellow queen, Chokecherry, is used to this due to her daughter having similar problems. Chokecherry is always there to help Rosalia through it, so together they make a great queen-duo.

It's actually pretty heavily hinted that Glory is a scrollwyrm along with Starflight in the books!! She internally agrees with Starflight that the Rainwings not having scrolls or writing is a terrible thing, and Sunny mentions her being almost as bad as Starflight when it comes to assuming her siblings know something because they had lessons on it.

As far as actually seeing her writing, I'm pretty sure we only see that in her dreams when Starflight contacts her? But like, there's a reason Starflight's probably the sibling she's closest to and it's because they are both nerds. Glory's just a secret one because she is incredibly emotionally guarded as a rule; she doesn't like admitting she likes anything. Tsunami, on the other hand, I think you could probably argue. She definitely doesn't like reading, and while she definitely has a favorite scroll it is totally possible she had Starflight or someone else read it to her.

Do we ever actually see Glory writing/reading? If not I like to imagine like Clay she isn’t able to as well, since it seems strange to me if he was the only one who couldn’t.

Actually, Idk if we ever see Tsunami writing/reading either do we?
