1D Monthly Fic Roundup

Hi, and welcome to the 1D Monthly Fic Roundup! 

We’ve put together this blog to collect all new One Direction fics on a monthly basis, which we will then put into a masterpost that will be posted on the 28th of each month. There’s so many incredible fics and incredible fests going on, this blog is a chance to put all those fics in one place to ensure that fewer fics slip through the cracks!

Please note the following:

This is a submission-based list. The mods will not be monitoring any blogs or using a specific tag to track down new fics. Only fics that are submitted to the blog will be included in the monthly posts. Fics included will be listed in the order they’re submitted to us. If you are submitting on behalf of a writer, please have their consent to do so.

Please submit your fic and rebloggable fic post (if you have one) through a submission to this blog. If we received your submission, we will reblog your post. If the post has not been reblogged, please contact the blog via ask. 

Your fic must be tagged appropriately. The roundup will include title, pairing, rating, word count, summary, as well as links to your fic and Tumblr post.

All One Direction pairings are welcome including gen, as long as the main pairing includes one member or former member of One Direction.

We will post the roundup on the 28th day of each month. In order to be included, your fic must be a new fic published in the same month you submit the fic to us. If your fic is published after the 27th of the month, your fic will be included in the following month’s post.

If your fic is a work in progress, we will include your fic twice: once when you publish your first installment and then a second time when you complete the fic. Please note we will not include it for every update of the fic.

If your fic is anonymous, you as the writer can choose to either submit it during the month it first posted and it will be listed as anonymous OR during the month it is revealed if it’s in a different month than it was posted.

If you are a fic fest moderator, you can submit a link to a masterpost for us to reblog, and the fest will be included as part of the monthly roundup post as links to the collection and masterpost. Please wait until the fest is completed before submitting.

I am in the process of rereading The Dragonet Prophecy and I just got to Gill

And I had the most horrifying thought

I like the headcanon that before he was gone Gill recognized Tsunami, to some extent. Not as his daughter necessarily, but as Coral-- it's a neat headcanon, it makes it more tragic, and Tsunami is the spitting image of her mother.

Gill is too dehydrated to speak. Part of what makes what happened to him terrifying is the fact that he makes no sound as he tries to attack Tsunami.

... Seawings don't need to speak to communicate. They have Aquatic.

Tsunami doesn't know Aquatic.
