where does the name "pinetreevillain" come from?

Well originally i went around instagram as just “pinetree_” in homage to Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls (i’d say the Most Inspiring tv show i had watched at the time that kickstarted my decent into animation hell)

Then i went around as pinetreevirgo for a hot second as I got into Homestuck and got attached to the idea of two-word usernames

Then, as I got into other fandoms, I changed it to pinetreevillain — a lot of my favorite characters are villains, and I often got casted as the villain in school plays and musicals!

“Villain” just had a much nicer ring to it and didn’t make me sound like an Astrology Guy

I got a smug Donnie doodle! I'm so happy :D There was also a really lovely note in the package. The layering and the shiny text on the keychain is awesome, and the stickers are really nice quality.

I can't wait to get the holographic print up on my wall so I can watch it shine when I walk by!

Now I need to figure out what to do with the stickers. I love stickers but commitment is scary.

On the night of the full moon, an eerie stillness filled the camp... for every cat but Lilacdream, anyway.

For her, the full moon was always when the Star Cats were most active. Often, the healer found herself sitting and listening, watching their wisps and sparkles as they flittered about.

Here in LightClan's camp, however, things worked a little differently. She wasn't used to being able to recognize the Star Cats, after all.

In particular, Lilacdream was able to faintly recognize a kit-shaped silhouette tailing Pepperfrost around. With a little bit of cognitive thinking, it only made sense that this was Berrykit's spirit following her mother. Of course, Pepperfrost couldn't see this herself. Lilacdream figured she shouldn't tell her sister this particular detail. It would be far too troublesome, far too distressing so soon after the kit's death.

Typically, Lilacdream wouldn't speak to the Star Cats unless spoken to, but seeing the lost little spirit of her niece floating over the snow... well, that was a much different story.

"Hello?" She called out softly to the starry silhouette. Berrykit immediately perked up and turned, noticing that a cat was looking directly at her, and then excitedly floating over. The kit didn't whisper to her like Star Cats usually did, however. Was it because she was too young? Or was it because this was a new place?

Berrykit sniffed at her tentatively, then seemed to perk up once more, excitedly darting off in a playful manner.

"Woah- wait for me..!" Lilacdream whisper-shouted, trying to get the spirit's attention and not her clanmates'. However, this effort was in vain, and as Berrykit charged straight for the border surrounding camp... she disappeared into a puff of star-sparkles.

The wisps led a soft trail across the thunderpath and farther east, but Lilacdream had no idea where the kit was trying to lead her. It was far too late to be exploring, anyhow...

Was this some sort of omen? Lilacdream would have to discuss this with Lightrunner and Stormflower soon... She couldn't quite make sense of it.

The StarClan spirit of Berrykit visits the clan overnight, seeming to lead Lilacdream somewhere, though the healer doesn't follow.

Briarclaw's spirit visits too, but nobody in the clan witnesses it.

@leisi-lilacdreams post about both of the Donnie's getting their twin sense tingling in the latest CAS arc (by @somerandomdudelmao) inspired some dialogue in my brain and so here.

"You let him go!?"

Donnie doesn't bother turning around; he can hear Mini-him pacing back and forth around the lab, and he doesn't have to look to know how this is shaking out.

"What was I supposed to do, tie him to a chair?"

"Yes!?" says Mini-him like he's stupid, which warrants a scoff.

"You know as well as I do that when Leo decides something, you can't talk him out of it."

"Yes, which is why tying him to a chair is the appropriate response!"

"No one's invented a rope strong enough yet, not even me."

"I can. I will. Watch me."

Donnie does not watch. Mini-him is still pacing back and forth, from the sounds of it, so there's nothing to see. It takes him over a minute to finally stop.

"...You feel it too, don't you?"

"Of course I do," Donnie says. He doesn't need any clarification. "We're the same person, I'm just older, smarter, and sexier."

Mini-him huffs, not rising to the bait, which means there are more feelings in the air than Donnie cares for. But he gets it. He wasn't lying about feeling it, after all.

"...We almost lost him," says Mini-him at length, and finally Donnie turns away from his work to look at the kid. He's got his arms crossed tight, looking away, seeing something else. "We did lose him, for a few minutes. But I could still feel it." He sighs, looking down. "If Mikey hadn't been able to open that portal..."

"Then you would have found a way to tear it open yourself," says Donnie, and Mini-him's eyes jerk up from the floor. Donnie just shrugs like he's saying something obvious. "Leos get into trouble, and Donnies save them. Right?"

Finally, a small smile from Mini-him. "He's more trouble than he's worth, though."

Donnie grins, then grabs a wrench and holds it out for the kid to take. "Now are you going to keep angsting or are you going to help?"

"I'm not angsting," he says unconvincingly, but he does come forward and grab the wrench. "What are we working on?"

"Before I tell you, you have to sign an NDA."

"Oh, well, if this is official work, you'll have to pay my contracting fee."

Donnie barks a laugh, even though they both know that neither of them are joking.
