Acht is a little bit annoyed at it, but they do have to admit that it’s funny.

Four is the one who started it. They made the first comment using their personal account and they didn’t tell Acht. They had not expected it to escalate this far.

The agents are participating as well. They don’t plan on telling Four or Acht, but they’re having a ton of fun. They all have at least three alternate accounts.

The idols are not participating in the comments, but they think it’s kind of funny. Though they do feel bad that Gibbous is getting made fun of and he was just born.

Four’s family had expected this of the internet, and they actually warned Acht against posting about Gibbous because they knew this would happen. Though they hadn’t expected it on this scale.

JayBell: This movie is way more of a dystopian sci-fi drama than it is a mystery/thriller. And honestly, massively underrated. The worldbuilding is great, the plot is cool, the acting is nothing to complain about, it has slight romance, family drama, friendship, mystery.

I haven't seen too many movies about the ethical or moral dangers surrounding genetic engineering. The way the movie presents it isn't too farfetched either. If you could ensure your child had the best chance of health and success, wouldn't you be a bad parent if you didn't allow it? And where's the line between ensuring a healthy baby and designer babies?

The movie presents a society so dependent on genetic engineering that naturally born, un-enhanced people are discriminated against in their personal lives and in the workplace.

Ethan Hawke's character never truly accepts the society that he lives in. The movie doesn't show him outwardly overthrowing the system, but it shows the way he fights back in order to find what happiness he can. Which, honestly, is more realistic than him changing an entire society in such a short amount of time.

It's not an action-packed, exciting sci-fi adventure, but that's what makes it special and unique.

Anzie: I had no idea what this movie was except Ethan Hawke and DNA. I’d never even heard of it. I assumed he was like a space captain and it was Star Trek meet U.S. Navy meets Baby Geniuses??? IDK. But it wasn’t! Shocker!!!! 😱 And it was so much better than I was expecting. There’s a lot to cover in it and honestly it would totally ruin it. But I liked the complexity of it while also not being overly complicated with a little sprinkle of crime mystery in it. And I just wanna say for the record I NEVER thought Ethan Hawke was the killer. The concept too that DNA controls our destiny or if we do - and how DNA ends up being a societal divide- is really interesting and well done from so many different points in the movie. I love Jude Law and he’s such a lil baby and I was soooo sad at the end. That was not cool. And the hair. I was gonna cry.

^ Side note: the swimming thing. The bro obvi doesn’t now how to swim sooooo why do they keep swimming. Also I kinda love that kid law’s character has a gold medal in swimming bc he’s the real ride or die bro.

^ Double side note: I could never keep up this charade. It was so exhausting to watch him try.

September is here! I always think of this month as my sister’s month because she was born in September lol. Anyway, I was lowkey happy Beau won the character poll because it means I get to dedicate September’s cover art to my sister’s fave color: yellow. Happy Birth Month, lil bro~ Big Love!

What’s Happening in September?

Well, the poll this month will be a little different. Usually, we vote on who next month’s cover model will be. This month, however, I was thinking — since the whole month of October is basically Halloween and peeps dress up — we could vote for Kaimana’s Halloween costume this year? Last year I put ‘em in an ATSV Spider-Man 2099 costume, hehehe. This year, IT’S UP TO YOU! It’ll be fun. It’ll be GREAT. To the left are the options, all tsunderes because I’m so weak for tsunderes and I consider Kai to be one as well lol. Poll drops this Friday, September 6.

I now have all the voiced lines for Sutoro and Azrael! I’ve been inputting them into the current build. Check out a preview of Sutoro’s voiced lines!

I also received some track samples from our composer! I can’t show you right now, but, trust me. It’s a banger and a chill cafe bop for sure! The composer I’m working with went to town on it! I’m so happy with how it’s turning out! It’s got lyrics and vocals too!

I adjusted one of Sutoro’s poses because the anatomy seemed off. BUT! I also wanted to add more poses to make Sutoro a little more lively to match Jesse’s performance. Here’s some of those new sprites I’m working on!

Comic Creation | Ippon!

I haven’t talked about Ippon! in a while, mostly because I haven’t been spending a lot of time on it. I… went back and adjusted some previous panels, and I keep going back and forth between adding more pages to adjust the pace or not…

One of the things I changed, for example, are the shape of the panels on page 4 (above). I noticed as I was drawing that I tend to have a lot of dynamic panels. There were so many, that I thought it became hard to read or even look at the pages… It bummed me out a bit, so I had to stop drawing for a bit lol.

Another thing I learned: having to really think about how two pages sit next to each other. I saw online somewhere that comic artists plan out their page turns. That’s something I’d like to keep in mind too.

Other than that, I’m trying to learn to pace myself better. Some pages take longer to complete than others. For me right now, this action page (above) is taking a lot out of me. I expected it would because I’m trying to figure out where everything is situated — the anatomy, whether or not the action makes sense, etc.

I was thinking about adding the name of the move somewhere, kinda like how in shounen action series characters name their moves and whatnot or have it written out on the page or something. But I’m not too sure exactly how I’m going to go about doing that…

Cover Story | Meet Beau!

Sweet, energetic, loving Beau. In the Froot Basket series, he’s the player character Jordan’s childhood friend and neighbor! They played basketball together in baby days and continued hanging out and growing together in high school! Beau loves eating, gaming, reading comics, and playing basketball with his pals! He also has a big crush on Jordan and a big dislike of bananas — they’re mushy!

Along with Sutoro, Beau was one of the first characters I doodled when I came up with this lil series. He and Sutoro were best friends. He was meant to be a sorta delinquent character, hence the piercings and dyed undercut hairstyle. But as I developed him more and more, he just seemed like a sweetheart through and through.

I tried to include a bunch of yellow things in the background and in the illustration’s design. I’m hoping it displays Beau’s fun-loving personality! A few Easter Eggs: Beau’s playing Froot Basket Valentine on his handheld console and Froot Basket: Dark Chocolate on his desktop.

Momotarou Post-Mortem

Momotarou was the micro-visual novel I impulsively made in July for O2A2 Jam. I managed to write the post-mortem for it late last month! If you’re interested in my thought process for the project’s creation, read it here!

I can’t believe it’s already been 50 days since I released the micro-visual novel! Time flies… A few peeps have play-throughs that I’ve very much enjoyed! Thank you so much for playing! I also received some really great feedback and observed some peeps getting confused. I’ll be updating the game with a few sentences referring to Froot Basket Valentine, the game whose events immediately precede the events of Momotarou.

But she always got super dirty so i then went to the lake next to Strawberry and tamed the red chestnut arabian. Charles deserves the absolute world. just listening to him speak and hanging out with him at camp, and the missions you continue on to do with him throughout the game are so much fun. charles is someone i wish i could have in my real life because he seems like he would be the best person to speak to and hang out with. he is so lovely and down to earth. even arthur says it a couple times throughout the game. charles gets a good ending i promise.

My name is Yuri Christine Feng. And I'm gonna be a star. Just like my momma Jillian Choi. I'm more of a singer/musician, mom was an actress. So like, I'm her 4th child but 3rd with my dad Victor.

Since my big sis Ara moved out before I became a toddler, I was basically raised as the only girl in the household until Haru came around.

Brycen, Liam and I were always pretty close and it was nice having 2 guys back me up at school when people were mean. Speaking of which, I never understood why we got bullied so much in elementary? We're Jillian Choi's kids LOL. Maybe they meant to hate on mom cause she homewrecked dad and Lily's relationship before having us (sorry mom but you a hoe for that).

When Brycen moved to San Myshuno to be independent while in college or whatever, I tagged along and was like bye mom not down for your house rules. Big bro took care of me while studying and playing college soccer till I was done high school. He let me host parties and all when I was building my career. I had a lot of fun living with him and it was great to see him settle down with such a lovely lady.

When Samuel was born, I realized I had to move out. I bought this nice loft in San Myshuno with my hard earned superstar money and hosted such lovely parties with my friends and family. I met Dustin Clevenger at a bar once. Or club? Was it down the street of the loft? Whatever, ANYWAY, we dated and I told him "bestie let's move in!". So one evening Haru came over and wanted to hang out THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE MY SHIFT STARTED? I agreed to hang and told her to stay as long as she wants cause she's my sis right? This hoe...FLIRTS WITH MY MAN and this "man" RECIPROCATES??? I was totally unaware that they were seeing each other behind my back and one day Dustin admits it to me because they just became official and she wanted him all to herself. Like girl, get your own man first of all and then you won't need to share and this guy is dumb as hell. I GAVE HIM A ROOF OVER HIS HEAD??

Anyway, I'll let Haru tell the rest of the story cause I moved on and rekindled a lil fling from high school with Kiyoshi Ito.

We eventually got married and had Daiki in San Myshuno. (Thanks for delivering him Brycen, luv you big bro)

We decided Tartosa was the place we wanted to settle down in and have our second child Kaori. My children have grown so much and now Daiki is a teenager going through some emo phase or whatever. Oh we also have a dog cause Daiki's a spoiled brat hehe.
