asks are open!😘 How would L lawliet react with a shy I mean very shy girlfriend shes short about 5'2. And recently joined the task force to help her boyfriend
💕L💕
Omllll yeeessss! Another Death Note request! Let’s go, I like L too and I was waiting for him! Let’s do it!
Lawliet L
L was very against you trying to join the Task Force. This is definitely the most dangerous case in human history and you’re the last person he wants to risk to try solve it. He doesn’t care to risk his own life, but not yours
When L loves something or someone, it’s permanent and it’s strong, he was very against Watari joining, but he knows he needs Watari and the older man is not as included. L is a stubborn man and he won’t fold to your persistence
How did you manage to get onto the Task Force? L had no choice but to let you join, Light already seen you and his hands were tied by the members thinking a new Detective has joined. He couldn’t fly you out since it’d draw far too much suspicion. For the first time ever, the world’s best detective was stunned as he had to agree on terms he didn’t make
L supposes he doesn’t really mind having you around, it’s bad but not as bad. You’re intelligent, your skilled and you know how to handle yourself. Though, he isn’t a fan of you being apart of the Kira case for obvious reasons
Repeat it, L loves short girls so his significant other being shorter than him is like his actual dream. They are cuddle-sized and easy to keep track off. Even with how hunched he is, L is still packing quite the height and he towers you so suspect him to rest his chin on your head
“Aaah~ my favourite pillow has arrived. I am aware that I’m using your head as a headrest, you’re a suitable ‘small bean’ for the task. Why yes, I do remember what people your height are called and I’m called a ‘beanstalk’”
L is not a teaser about height, he’s a helper. You’re struggling to reach something high, he’ll get it for you. He will analyse the situation and suggest using a step next-time but at the end of the situation, he’ll help in anyway he can
L is a introvert so he understands your overall timidity. If you don’t want to be around the others, he will set up a private room for you that none of the members can access, including him if wanted. He has the money and power to do whatever the fuck he wants, and he is the spoiling type of boyfriend
Yes, I mean that L would send you money if you need it, he will rush around the headquarters to find your favourite blanket, he’s out the door the moment you mention a milkshake you’re carving. He will do stuff for you since you do so much for him, by merely being apart of his life and changing from him a glorified machine to a real human
The way you shyly approach him and Light to hand over the documentation files Watari gave to you whilst he was baking, is just so cute. Internal L is laying on the floor joyous at how adorable you behave, whilst external is politely thanking you
L isn’t built with any muscles(besides dem legs for real) but he isn’t above being protective over you, because he is. Light scared you with that one time he impersonated Kira to a horrifyingly good degree, L is gonna calmly argue with him then get into a fight
“Light. Could you please silence your strangely accurate impersonation of Kira. You’re frightening Dokusha— Hm? What reason do I have to ask of such a request? Well. She’s my partner in business and in life, she is important. Don’t do anything like that again”
L is slowly growing accustom to affection, please give him a break if he doesn’t respond or give it back. He does like it, he just isn’t trained nor knowledgeable enough in couple things. He puts research on those topics into his list so he can do better for you
Though, nobody else can do these things with L. Hold his hand, brush his hair, hug him. Nothing like that is allowed for anybody besides you and well to a degree, Watari but that’s different. You are always allowed in his private research room, most of the time, he wants you there besides him as he works
A cute weird thing L lets you do is latch onto his back. He does have a BAD back from the ten+ years of hunching but he loves feeling you clung onto him like a Koala. You are too shy to do it around the members but that won’t stop L from throwing you onto his back himself. He misses it
L keeps track of everything you like, do and more. He basically has a encyclopaedia of you and can recall every little detail. To him, knowing you like the process of scrubbing through hours worth of camera footage, is important as it shows how devoted he is to you
So tell him everything. He won’t forget any piece of info and he’ll write it down later as a needed backup, like he does for everything else non-Dokusha related. There’s two parts of his mind; Detective and Dokusha. He likes the Dokusha section a lot more
L is very loyal. Do you think he has anybody else waiting? Most women call him a freak for his looks and/or behaviour. You’re his one and only, he can’t throw you away, he just wants you sat besides him all the time. Where he can turn around and know you’re still with him
L shares his sweets with you more, as compared to somebody like Light, and you know he’ll get Watari to deliver whatever you want, whilst the other members get only what L requests for them. You are treated specially and he could care less that it makes him seem favouritistic, he is
L has a habit of mimicking you, kinda like a child. He follows you since your word is a lot more trustworthy. When you eat vegetables and meats with a smiley reaction, he is eating it too whilst waiting for your praise (Watari would struggle here, and he is a bit frustrated that his son listens to his gf, not his father
“Good morning— hm? I seem frustrated. Well… I am. Why is that? Don’t pretend like you don’t know the answer to that question, Dokusha. Yes, yes. I understand you fully. You don’t want me to die but this is my profession, and you shouldn’t be apart of this case. It’s too dangerous, you know how intense my feelings for you are”

Hello, how are you? 🥰
If it's okay, can I request, for the event, Ranpo + bodyguard!reader (Ranpo still being a famous?detective) + 3am? 😊
LOVED THIS CONCEPT i hope i did it justice,,, in a perfect world i would write like a million companion pieces to this but this is it FOR NOW… THANK U SO MUCH FOR REQUESTING!!
my 1k event!
—°+..。゚。゚+.*.。.—
“Do you really have to stay up like that?”
“Yes.”
Ranpo sighs, dropping back down onto the rock-hard bed and knocking the air out of his own chest. Just three feet away from him on the floor, you’re sat against the wall, arms crossed and legs stretched out in front of you. Your gaze is locked on the door of the motel room, which unnerves Ranpo. It feels like you’re a statue in his room, unmoving and cold, and he’d really like to go to bed without worrying about something as mundane as your comfort.
“There’s a couch right over there,” he gestures to the decently-sized sofa just a few paces away from your current position. “You can lay down, you know. Relax a little bit. Our main job is over.”
“This is my main job,” you correct him, breaking eye contact with the door in favor of glancing over at him. He’s turned onto his side now, head resting on top of his folded hands. Having you in his sight is more comforting than it has any right to be. It’s your job to keep him in your sights, but you’re too busy with the possibility of an intruder breaking through the door in front of you or the window behind you.
“Do you even sleep?” he asks. “You’ve been ‘on-duty’ for, what, twenty hours now? Don’t you think you deserve a nap, or something?”
“I’m paid by the hour,” you politely inform him, “this is fine to me. You’re not the first person I’ve done this job for, so I’m not an amateur.”
Another exasperated sigh tears its way out of his chest. You’re more stubborn than he is, and your tenacity is both admirable and frustrating. Both of you had gone around the city, taking buses and treading through alleyways for the entire day. You pulled your weapon out at least twice today, and Ranpo’s asked an awful lot of questions to an awful lot of people in his investigation. His mouth still feels dry from all the talking.
You’d gotten back much later than anticipated after finally making an arrest. Getting the local police to cooperate was a hassle, but Ranpo’s track record was enough to prove his points ten times over. On top of that, you’d singlehandedly restrained the criminal when the cops wouldn’t do anything about it, and Ranpo thinks you might deserve a place in his spotlight for all your hard work.
The point is—it’s late, and you both expended all your energy, yet Ranpo is still on-edge because you’re sitting straight up against the wall like a freakish owl. Fukuzawa was kind enough to let the both of you stay overnight at a motel before taking a train back to Yokohama tomorrow at noon. He’d be disappointed if he learned that Ranpo let you sleep on the floor. Or not sleep at all.
“It’s not about being an amateur,” Ranpo groans, turning to lay on his back again and staring up at the ceiling. “It’s about being a normal person and sleeping when you’re supposed to. Don’t be weird. Just lay down, or something.”
“...the floor is cold.”
“Seriously?” he clicks his tongue. “I told you, there’s a couch right there.”
“The couch is cold too. There’s no blankets. If I can’t sleep comfortably, I’d rather not sleep at all.”
The admission rings a little too loud in the otherwise empty room. Ranpo is sure there’s some underlying story behind that, something that he could easily discern in just a second. But he’s tired, and he actually likes you, so he’ll give you another day before he starts tearing into your background like a rabid animal chewing at fast food scraps.
Ranpo sits up yet again, exhausted from all the times he’s changed position in bed, and shuffles over to the far side of the bed that’s pressed against the wall. He tugs the blankets closer to him but leaves a nice empty spot for you on the other side, patting it with his hand. “Look, a warm comfy place on an actual bed. Can you sleep now?”
You blink up at him, and he’s struck with the image of an owl yet again. It would be endearing if you weren’t so odd. “You really don’t have to do that, Edogawa.”
He wrinkles his nose. “Don’t call me that! Nobody else does. Just lay down and go to bed already! I need a good seven hours before I can even move again.”
You laugh at that, which is a small unspoken victory in Ranpo’s head. It’s a small thing, breathy and meant to be hidden, but Ranpo pays attention to it because of course he does. Finally, you stand up from your cramped place beneath the window and slowly make yourself comfortable on the side of the bed newly reserved for you. Ranpo hopes that you didn't interpret his words as a command, and are doing this of your own volition instead—but a victory is a victory, and he’s just relieved that you’ve stopped staring bug-eyed at the door.
“No one will break in,” he says, a last-ditch effort at reassurance to really make sure you’re not just laying on your back at high-alert the whole night. “And if they do, you’ll just kick their ass. You’ll be fine.”
You make a vague noise in response, back already turned to him as you sink into the mattress. Ranpo’s consciousness dwindles as the weariness starts to sink into his bones like an ache, and he wonders if Fukuzawa would hire you again if Ranpo asked him enough times.

Friends? Never. Pt.22 (Ellie Williams x reader)
MASTERLIST (and information about Palestine) Please read!
SYNOPSIS: You and Ellie had been bitter enemies for years now but before that you were best friends. You had always planned to be roommates one day but when that becomes a reality the situation isn't exactly how you both imagined it.
SMUT MDNI OR ILL BE YOUR SLEEP PARALYSIS DEMON TONIGHT XOX
proofread kinda but this shit is like almost 9k words and i am tired so if there’s a mistake my apologies, will fix that tomorrow probs!
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
“Fuck I am so tired. I’ve been twenty for three weeks and I swear I’m deteriorating already.”
“Ellie you are such a drama queen, you’re just tired because you actually ran laps with the group today.” Training with the group had been going well for the most part but watching Ellie come back breathless and rosy cheeked, though in better shape than the teenagers that followed after her, was the highlight for you.
“Can’t believe you made me do that.”
“You were being naughty and you know I don’t tolerate bad behaviour.”
“I smacked your ass once and none of them even saw. You are so mean to me.”
“Stop sulking, besides, would you have preferred to stay behind with Amber?”
“Okay fair enough, how was that by the way?” Your mind cast back to the memory of your altercation with Amber and left a sour taste in your mouth.
“Amber, can you stay behind please?”
“Why?” She snipped at you with a scowl.
“Because I said so.” You grit as Ellie stifles a laugh. Ellie had been on a mission today to annoy you as much as humanely possible, lovingly but still, she had succeeded. She had done so well that she was now jogging away with the other trainees after you banished her. When they had all been doing target practise she snuck up behind you and landed a harsh slap on your ass that was so loud it was almost audible over the repetitive gunfire. You yelped and rubbed at the sore skin while sneering at her as she laughed.
“Sorry babe, you know I love your ass too much to keep my hands off, you should’ve seen the way it jiggled.” She went to reach for it again but you slapped her hand away and huffed, only making her laugh more, you glanced at the group and when all of their heads remained facing away from you, you breathed a sigh of relief.
“You are such a little shit, you’re running laps with the others while I talk to Amber.”
“What?! No way.”
“Yes way, I’ve had enough of you today.”
“Oh come on babe don’t be like that.”
“Too late and if you don’t go, no sex for a month.”
“You’re joking.”
“Wanna fuck around and find out?” She huffed and called the rest of the group over to announce the badly received news of their impending laps around the town. You almost regretted your decision when you were left alone with Amber, her attitude making you want to throttle it out of her.
“I wanted to have a chat because I want to see what we can do to be better supporting you to get you up to standard for patrol.”
“Excuse me? Why are you only asking me?”
“This isn’t an attack Amber, this is for your safety but you aren’t progressing at the same rate as the others and I don’t want to see you fall behind.”
“You’re just picking on me because you have it out for me so don’t give me all of that caring bullshit because I see right through it.” She hissed, you bit your tongue and took a deep breath, desperately trying to keep your cool.
“Amber, your aim with a gun is nowhere near the standards of the others, you can’t hold your own in a fight even with one of the other girls, you struggle in the drills, you don’t understand tracking and you never know any of the answers to the questions we ask about survival tactics. I’m not picking on you, I’m stating a fact.” It was harsh but she needed to hear it. “I am willing, and so is Ellie, to put in extra hours with you to help but we can only help if you let us and stop being so stubborn.”
“I’ll do the extra hours with Ellie but I’m not spending anymore time with you than I have to.” You snickered at her comment, a wave of insecurity crashing over her features. You’d happily let Ellie take her for the extra training, you trusted her with your life but then Amber would be getting her way and you just weren’t willing to let that happen.
“Not gonna happen, nice try though.” You were going to leave it there but that eye roll and pout of her lip just sent you over the edge as you stormed over to her, closing the distance between you both. “Do you think I don’t notice your blatant flirting with my girlfriend? Do you think it’s going to get you anywhere? We live together, we have a child together, and when we go home together after training we laugh at your pathetic attempts on her. Stop being fucking delusional and get over yourself. I’m here to train you, not to be your friend so you either sort yourself out or I’ll tell Maria you’re not fit for patrol and she’ll find you some other boring job in Jackson.” She gulped and her eyes developed a glassy film. You had taken it too far but you were getting sick of her and she had just pushed you one too many times. “Now go home and come back tomorrow with a better fucking attitude because if you think I’m above kicking your ass you’re sorely mistaken. You saw how quick I took Harvey down, do you really think I wouldn’t crush you in a second?” She scowled at you before storming off, not quick enough that you didn’t see the fear in her eyes though.
“Ugh she’s just- it was as expected. We argued, I scared the shit out of her and she ran away with her tail between her legs, she’ll be the exact same tomorrow. Same shit, different day.”
“Damn, I don’t understand what her problem is.”
“I do, she doesn’t like me because of us and because I have a position of authority over her, she’s the weakest of the group and it makes her insecure and I’m the only one that will call her out on it.” You eye Ellie pointedly as she smiles sheepishly.
“I can take the next lecture, promise babe.”
“Eh she won’t even listen to you because she’ll be too busy ogling you.”
“Damn I’m feeling really objectified right now.”
“Oh shut up, you love it.”
“I only love the attention when it comes from you but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me feel good about myself.” She smiles smugly as she wraps an arm around your waist pulling you snug to her hip as she presses a kiss to your temple with a quiet chuckle.
“Who would’ve thought I’d be the scary one out of us?” You chuckle but it dies in your throat as she quirks an eyebrow at you as if your question was entirely absurd.
“Err everyone. You’re scary.”
“I am not!” You pinch her side and she squirms away from you with a hiss.
“You so are, it’s not a bad thing but you are terrifying. Do i need to remind you about you being a jailbird? My girlfriend is a convict, that’s scary, hot but scary.” You roll your eyes as the school comes into view and the bustle of parents awaiting their children is accompanied by the deafening squeals and yells of children bounding out of the gates like a stampede. You both stop and hold hands as you wait for Clem’s beaming face to come into view.
You crane your neck looking for the strawberry blonde locks until they catch your eye causing a smile to grace your features. Ellie had already released your hand to kneel down in preparation for Clem’s leap into her arms that had become customary when you would pick her up. You both exchange looks of concern when her face remains angled towards the floor and she trudges over to you both dragging her feet. You immediately move towards her and bend down in front of her as Ellie joins you seconds later, cupping her cheeks you angle her face to meet yours and the sight sends shockwaves through you. Her face was red and blotchy, the remnants of tears evident all over her cheeks but what struck you both more was the slightly raised red mark on her cheek that looked like the precursor of a bruise.
“Baby who did this to you?” Your voice was frantic as tears welled in your eyes at her sadness, it was the kind of sadness you hadn’t seen in her since the day you found her, the memory of that day cursed you and filled you with a rage you had never experienced before. She had been so excited for school this morning, it was show and tell and she had brought in a painting that her and Ellie had created with the watercolours you had gifted Ellie for her birthday, it was a replica of a polaroid taken on Ellie’s birthday of the three of you, Ellie holding Clem with her free arm around your waist as you all beamed at the camera. She had rushed you both out the door and practically skipped the whole way to school, babbling about how much she loved it and how interesting all her classes were and now she was sniffling and hurt, her entire demeanour oozing the pain she was in. You were so focused on the sorrow on her features you barely remembered asking her who caused her it until she answered you.
“T-Timmy.” Her voice was meek and quiet, the opposite of how it typically was as she sniffled and wiped at her eyes before wincing as she accidentally pressed on the welt forming underneath.
“What happened kiddo?” Ellie’s voice was calm, unlike yours but the scowl on her face gave her true feelings away.
“He made fun of me for having two mommies, so I told him he was ugly and smelly, because he is, then he hit me and pushed me in front of everyone. Please can we go home?” Every part of you wanted to chase Timmy and his parents down for what they had taught their child but Clem came first and she wanted to go home so that’s what you’d do.
Clem perked up quick enough, after dancing to her favourite record with you both and doing some painting with Ellie while you prepared dinner, she seemed almost normal again though it was clear what happened today was playing on her mind as she looked up from the table with glassy eyes.
“Why are people mean about you? I don’t understand, you’re the best mommies. Do they hate me?”
“Oh baby, no one hates you, you’re our perfect angel, don’t ever have thoughts like that, ever, okay?” Ellie was the first to speak as she noticed the slight gape of your mouth though you snapped back into action when Clem turned to you expectantly.
“Some people just don’t like that me and mama love each other. They don’t like that me and mama are young as well and we were so lucky to find you and make you a part of our family. They’re jealous and silly and I promise it’s nothing to do with you. I swear Timmy nor anyone is ever going to lay a finger on you again baby, some people are just silly and mean, do you understand?” She nods with a small smile before going back to eating as Ellie looks at you silently communicating the plan you knew you both had.
“Clemmy, I’ve gotta go out for a little bit but I promise I’ll be back in time to say goodnight, okay?” Ellie stands and presses a kiss to Clem’s forehead as she strokes the soft hair on her head.
“Okay Mama, I’ll miss you.”
“Oh you know I’ll always miss you more.” You stand and follow Ellie to the door kissing her sweetly before she ducks out leaving you and Clem to start her bedtime routine alone.
After her bath and three different books, Clem’s eyes were drooping and the yawn she tried and failed to hide was evident she’d be asleep soon. The sound of the door opening and closing let you relax and as Ellie walked in taking her place next to you at Clem’s bedside you smiled. She pressed a kiss to the girl's forehead. Clem cupped Ellie’s cheeks as she lazily opened her eyes smiling giddily, the love that was radiating from both of them warmed you, your heart sang, you could watch them forever and be perfectly happy with that. You were so wrapped up in your thoughts you didn’t notice them both turning to face you.
“Can you both cuddle me until I fall asleep?”
“Of course baby.” Ellie climbed over Clem’s body as you laid down on the other side of her. Clem cuddles into your chest as Ellie wraps her arm over the both of you, pulling you both in tighter to her. As Clem’s breathing slowed, you lifted your head slightly to look at Ellie who had been gently playing with Clem’s hair as she hummed a familiar tune to her. It reminded you of a time when your mother would sing the same song to you at bedtime.
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Hush little baby don’t say a word
Mama’s gonna buy you a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird don’t sing
Mama’s gonna buy you a diamond ring
And if that diamond ring turns brass
Mama’s gonna buy you a looking glass
And if that looking glass gets broke
Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat
And if that billy goat doesn't pull
Mama's gonna buy you a cart and bull
And if that cart and bull turn over
Mama's gonna buy you a dog named Rover
And if that dog named Rover won't bark
Mama's gonna buy you a horse and cart
And if that horse and cart fall down
well you'll still be the sweetest baby in town.
“I love you Mommy.”
“I love you too sweetie, I always will, sweet dreams.” Your father had read to you after they both gave you your nighttime bath, indulging in your childish play letting you splash at them until the water went cold and you began to shiver. You smiled up at your father as he kissed your forehead goodnight leaving your mum to sing you the same tune she always sang to you before bed. Sometimes you'd sing along and sometimes you'd just listen to her melodic voice as you let her tune coax you to sleep.
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
The memory haunted you, it had always been such a fond one but now it burned your skin and stung your eyes. You pushed the thoughts to the back of your mind as you sang along to the tune Ellie was gently humming and you could feel the new memories being attached to the song that took the aching pain in your chest away as if it was never there.
You and Ellie both sneak out of Clem’s room once she’s firmly asleep and walk downstairs to greet Dina and Jesse who were sat in your living room.
“Thanks so much for watching her guys. We won’t be long.” You smile at them before going to slip your shoes on. As you return Ellie smiles grimly at you.
“You ready?”
“Fuck yeah.” Your eyebrows furrowed as the sudden fire ignited within you once again.
“Oh I would be shitting myself if I was them right now.” Jesse laughed though it was clear he was serious.
“Have fun going full mama bears on their asses!” Dina calls out to you as you both make your way out the front door and start the walk to Timmy’s house. You were never going to let his parents get away with teaching their child to be so hateful but you didn’t want Clem to see this side of you.
Ellie knocked on their door and as it swung open revealing a disgruntled man you both pushed past him into his home without a word.
“Erm excuse you, what do you think you’re doing?”
“We want to have a chat Rick, get your wife and sit down.” Your voice was monotone and your face deadpan but his scowl did not fade and he remained unmoving.
“Are you deaf? Get your wife and sit down.” Ellie repeated as she stepped closer to him, her face stony and her voice low and menacing. You watched as his face morphed into a picture of fear and it only made you smile, he scurried off returning with his wife, both seating themselves on their sofa, fidgeting and clearly unnerved.
“I’m assuming the school told you what Timmy did today?” They nodded as a response to your question, their eyes flicking between you and Ellie.
“Mm and I bet you couldn’t have been prouder right?” Their silence was adding fuel to the fire and as you observed Ellie pacing slowly beside you, it was clear she felt the same.
“Listen, if you have a problem with us, we couldn’t care less. But if your issue with us ends with our child getting hurt again, then we need to do something about it.” Ellie's voice was calm as she came to stand over them. “If Timmy ever comes near Clem again, I promise you, you will be looking for a new place to live because I will hunt you both to the ends of the Earth. You’ll never be able to settle because I’ll always be just on your heels. Do you want that life for Timmy? Never knowing when he’d be left alone in the world because his parents hatred cost them their lives. This is your only warning. Keep your snotty little shit away from our Clem or we will make sure the last thing you see is us smiling over your bodies. Don’t give me an excuse to do it, because I’ll enjoy every last second of it.” Their faces drained of all their colour and the sight was exhilarating to you. Ellie was always so gentle with you and Clem so you rarely saw this side of her but the few reminders you got never failed to stick with you, knowing she was acting this way to protect Clem, it only warmed you more. She walked to the door leaving you scowling in front of them.
“If you think Maria won’t be hearing of this, you’re wrong, expect a visit from her tomorrow. You’re the reason her niece's daughter was hurt today, she won’t take that lightly. I’d watch your backs if I were you.” You grinned as they visibly gulped before strolling off to meet Ellie at the door, her face matching yours. The walk back to your home was filled with childish giggles as you recounted the looks on their faces.
Even as you walked through the door of your home to find Dina and Jesse cuddled up on the sofa, you still couldn’t stop giggling.
“Assuming it went well then?” Jesse questioned with a quirk of his eyebrow.
“Oh yeah you should’ve seen their faces. Ellie went all ‘ah I’m so scary, I’m gonna hunt you down aghhh’ it was amazing!” You mocked Ellie’s deep, raspy voice that she had used while speaking to Timmy’s parents before bursting into laughter once again.
“I did not fucking sound like that! But it’s true, they shit their pants.” She looked smug as her chin raised to the air only causing you all to laugh more. You had been annoyed about yours and Ellie’s reputations after the few incidents over the past months that had painted you in a darker light but it served you both well today.
“That’s our girls!” Dina was beaming at you both as they stood.
“Thank you again for coming over on short notice. Did she wake up or anything?”
“No no, she’s been out like a light. Don’t keep thanking us anyway, we can use all the practise we can get.” Jesse breathed out as he rocked on his heels.
They said their goodbyes and left, leaving you and Ellie to collapse in bed, tired of the day.
“I know I joked but you going all scary to protect Clemmy was super fucking hot.” You cupped Ellie’s cheeks as you softly rubbed your nose against hers before resting your foreheads together with a smile.
“Hey it wasn’t just me, I heard what you said to them after I left the room. That was a nice touch.”
“Why thank you.” You giggled softly before your face turned sour again. “I just can’t believe we’re having to deal with shit like this. I mean, Ellie, she got fucking hit today. How many homophobes are there in this stupid fucking town?”
“I know, it’s ridiculous. This place is about as good as it gets and still, shit like this happens. I know what you mean about being done with it all but where do we even go you know?”
“Well I was thinking about that, remember that farm we stayed at before we found Clem, how perfect it was, how pretty the stars were from up there, how good the sex we had up there was hmm?” You dropped your voice seductively causing her eyebrows to shoot up. “We never got to go back and lock it up because of our little bundle of joy but I was thinking maybe Joel could watch her for a day and then Dina and Jesse have her for the night so we can go have a look around and see if it’s a viable option for us. I love our family, more than anything and the more I think about it just being us up there, the more I warm up to the idea, but obviously it’s close enough that we can still see everyone regularly and be connected to Jackson, what do you think?”
“Sounds fucking perfect babe. But I have one condition.”
“Oh yeah?”
“We have sheep, lots of ‘em, and a cow or two maybe, oh and we get to take Shimmer and Greg with us. We should have chickens too.”
“Sounds like more than one condition to me but I’m in.”
“You are going to make the cutest farmer.” She smirks at you as your eyebrows furrow.
“You’re going to be the farmer. I will sit pretty and watch you get your hands dirty.”
“Oh will you now?”
“Mhm you’re the one that wanted all the animals.”
“Well I suppose that’s fair. Do you think Clem will want to go?”
“El she’d follow you anyway, that girl has stars in her eyes when she looks at you. I think after today especially, she’ll be happy to go be farmers up in the hills.”
“Ah! So we will be farmers. I knew you’d see it my way.”
“You are ridiculous.”
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
“Ellie look! It’s just up ahead, it looks fine oh my god I’m so excited!” You rushed out as you spurred Greg on towards the picturesque farmhouse that you had been dreaming about returning to since you left.
“Oh fuck yeah and it’s only taken us like an hour and a half to get here with the horses, it feels so far but so close at the same time.”
“I feel really fucking good about this babe!”
“Me too.” Ellie hummed and as you approached the gate you sucked a breath in, praying it would open freely.
“Ah!” You squealed as the gate swung open and you jumped off Greg barely managing to stop yourself from jumping about as you seemed one step closer to building a life there.
“Okay let’s stay alert just in case, you wanna sweep the house or the barn?” Ellie sounded serious but her voice failed to hide the giddiness in her as she hopped off of Shimmer and pressed a hand to the small of your back.
“Let’s do the barn together first so we can leave the horses in there and then go through the house, I wanna walk in there with you, this is a milestone!” You beamed causing her to chuckle and start leading you round the house and towards the barn.
Once the barn had been cleared and the horses were happily grazing on some hay you both walked back round to the porch, you practically leaping up the stairs and dragging Ellie behind you but before you could reach for the doorknob she yanked you back into her and pressed kisses from just below your ear down to your shoulder blade, swaying you both gently. There was a gentle breeze whistling through the air and it smelled so fresh and crisp, the air felt so much more cleansing than in Jackson, every breath you took making you feel light and renewed. A small white butterfly flew around you both before disappearing into the powder blue sky that was dotted with pristine, white clouds. There were patches of daffodils all over the field amongst other splotches of colourful flowers creating the most beautiful landscape.
“El come on- ah!” You were interrupted as Ellie lifted you bridal style into her arms and started fumbling with the door. “What are you doing?” You said through giggles.
“Practising for the real thing.” She nudged the door open and as you both walked through hearing nothing but sweet, serene silence you both snapped your heads towards each other and smiled. You grabbed her cheeks and pulled her in for a kiss that felt like you were melting into each other before she gently put you down and walked you towards the dining room table opposite the front door, her lips never once leaving yours, it started tender as she explored your mouth with her tongue, lapping at yours slowly, but it soon grew hungry and desperate, the passion radiating off of both of you, she still tasted slightly minty from when she had brushed her teeth this morning and it cooled the growing heat slightly. Her hands grabbed and squeezed at any expanse of skin she could find as she groaned into your mouth, the sound making your knees weak, relying on her to keep you upright as she reduced you to a puddle of desperation with just her lips on yours. You could barely think straight, your mind being clouded, everything becoming hazy as she devoured you. As your thighs hit the back of the table she grabbed at them and lifted you to sit on the oak, pressing herself between your legs and gently grinding her hips into yours, you whined quietly and wrapped your legs tighter round her waist, pulling her impossibly closer to you while gripping onto her hair like she was anchoring you to this plane of existence. The friction of your cores rubbing together could’ve generated electricity, it felt like it was as the hair on the back of your neck stood and you shivered with need. Shockwaves of energy rippled through you as the temperature seemed to rise impossibly higher between you both until you each pulled away gasping for breath, a string of spit connecting your lips together like the tether wrapped around each of your hearts that had kept you closely bound to her since the day you met, even when you hadn’t spoken all those years, the tether still tugged you in her direction.
Ellie bit her lip as she quickly unbuttoned your jeans and yanked them down your legs with your assistance licking her lips at the sight of the wet patch on your underwear. “Someone’s pent up huh? All this from a little kissing? Need to take better care of you don’t I babe?”
“Mhm, quit stalling, I’m so wet it’s uncomfortable El, need you to clean me up.” She groaned at your words and immediately kneeled down on the floor wasting no time slipping your panties to the side and burying her face between your legs. You’d think she hadn’t eaten for days with the way she was sucking you dry, your clit throbbing in her lips as her fingers teased your entrance. She knew your body better than you did, not even having to search for the spongy spot inside of you that made your insides turn to liquid. It was so easy she was chuckling into you as your hips ground themselves into her. Her tongue was her paint brush and your pussy was her artwork as she swirled it around every inch of you, she’d swap from flattening her tongue and almost making out with your cunt to small kitten licks that had you keening and whimpering. Her fingers curled as they pumped in and out of you, each time she’d hit your g-spot you’d jolt and gasp, the feeling was so intense you wanted to squirm away but she had you tightly pulled against her with her free hand gripping onto your hip hard enough there’d be faint oval bruises in her hands absence. “Oh fuck, right there baby, I’m so close, shit-” With a long, harsh suckle on your clit, her tongue working circles around it at the same time, it seemed to be the only occasion where she could multi-task, your body tensed with your release, your hips bucking onto her fingers as you ride out your high. “Ah fuck- OW!” You suddenly exclaim cutting yourself off mid-moan. Ellie quickly jumped up to face you, her lips and chin shiny with your slick that looked comical against her panicked expression.
“Babe what’s wrong? Did I hurt you? Fuck I’m sorry-”
“No, no you didn’t do anything. You were fucking amazing but I- I think I got a splinter in my ass.” You admit shamefully.
“No you fucking didn’t, oh my god turn around, let me see.” She couldn’t contain her laughter even as you frowned at her while hopping off the table and turning away from her. She pressed a hand to your back, bending you over the table and gently easing your underwear down your thighs as she inched close enough to your behind that you could feel her breath tickling your cheeks.
“Ellie stop being a perv, is there a splinter?”
“Ohh yeah, big one too, could see it from a mile away.”
“Why is your nose practically touching my ass then?”
“Because it’s really pretty.” You could practically hear the smirk in her voice before she made a sorrowful attempt at whistling that just sounded like air escaping through a slightly cracked window. You laughed and she smacked at your uninjured ass-cheek lightly.
“Ellie! Get the fucking splinter out!”
“Alright, alright. Ruining my fun you are.”
“I’m gonna ruin you when this splinter is out of my ass.”
“Is that a threat or a promise?”
“Both you heathen now hurry up!” She chuckled before quickly but gently removing the splinter earning a satisfied hum from you as you returned upright and faced her, unamused at her childish glee while inspecting the splinter between her thumb and index finger.
“So errr we should probably varnish this table or sand it or something before we move in here. Wouldn’t want Clem getting hurt.” Ellie declares.
“Oh yeah this is sooo about Clem and not just you imagining railing me nine ways to sunday on here.” You raise your eyebrows at her, you knew Ellie was thinking about making sure Clem didn’t get any splinters, but you also knew that wasn’t the reason for her comment. You were the one that worried about things like that, she was the one that would throw Clem over her head high enough that you’d gasp and scold her for how close Clem’s head was to hitting the ceiling. You frowned as she seemed completely unphased by your remark only staring at the splinter still.
“I’m keeping this, it’s a memento.”
“Ellie so help me god-”
“Relax babe, someone’s prickly.” She hunched over with laughter as you simply rolled your eyes and redressed yourself.
“You’re so unfunny.”
“Why are you always laughing then?”
“I really don’t like you right now.”
“Hey that’s not fair, I just made you cum in under like five minutes, that’s gotta be a record, be nice to me.”
“I’ll be nice to you when you drop the fucking splinter.” Without hesitation she turned away from you and hurled the splinter towards the front door.
“See, it’s gone, now kiss me woman.” She shut her eyes and puckered up her lips dramatically while making loud smooching sounds.
“You’re lucky I love you.”
“Doesn’t sound like kissing!” She sang before puckering her lips again to which you relented and pressed your lips against hers, smiling into the kiss as her arms wrapped around your waist. “Goddamn I love you.” You giggled as you stepped away from her and spun round the room, taking in everything you had missed in your frenzied state. So much had happened in such a short space of time but the house, the house looked like it was frozen, everything exactly as you remembered it from before. It just felt right, it felt like home.
“So er now we’ve christened the place, how about we take a look around?” You suggested, the heat in your cheeks barely subsiding.
“Oh yeah, I wanna christen each room before we go.”
“You’re an animal.” She laughed as she followed you all throughout the house until you were in the kitchen, both gazing out of the window above the sink at the field that surrounded the property. The long grass was swaying in the wind, two doves landed on the fence in front of the window and their chirps were a melody you could listen to forever. The sun was beaming making everything look even more vibrant than it already did, the mountains creating the most beautiful backdrop. “Imagine teaching Clemmy all about the animals and how to grow fruit and vegetables in the sun, nothing but quiet all around.” As you spoke you could picture everything in your head like it was already reality.
“And sitting outside at night, looking at all the stars, looking for constellations.” She spoke into your neck where her face was nestled, her arms wrapped around your front, swaying you both gently.
“We can read together on the porch, bundle up in winter and have hot chocolate out there while we watch the snow fall.” You add.
“Teach Clem how to ride the horses, the fields big enough.”
“Yes! She’ll love running around with all the animals, I bet she’ll love the chickens.” You both chuckle at the notion.
“She’s gonna make one her pet and then we’ll have a house chicken.” Ellie huffed as if she was already being faced with Clem’s puppy eyes as she clutches the clueless chicken to her chest begging for it to be her pet.
“Bet she’ll call it Eggbert whether it’s a boy or a girl.”
“That sounds like something I would do.”
“That’s exactly my point.” You turn to face her over your shoulder and smile as she purses her lips and nods slowly, her eyes narrowing at your smug face before breaking out into the widest grin.
“Babe I fucking love it here, I can picture our lives here and everything. You still want this?” She spins you to face her, the smile adorning her features would have been enough to convince you to jump off a cliff if that was what she wanted.
“More than anything.”
“Then, as long as Clemmy’s okay with it, we’re moving.” You squeal and press your lips against hers as she squeezes you against her, lifting you from the ground slightly and spinning you around until she staggered to a stop. “Oh fuck I’m dizzy.” She rests her hands on her knees and takes a few deep breaths that have her back visibly rising and falling causing you to chuckle at her playfulness.
“Okay, we need to look at the fence, the water, the gas and the electric, I’ve got used to some comforts in Jackson that I’m not prepared to give up just yet.”
“Let’s look at the fence because I don’t know who you think I am babe but I will have no clue about any of the other things.” Ellie stands upright once again, her hands finding their place on her hips as she tilts her head slightly at you.
“Oh right me neither, that can be a job for Joel and Tommy.”
“They’ve got their uses.” She grabs your hand and drags you back outside where you both just stand for a minute admiring the view.
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
“Look this can be Clemmy’s room! Maybe you could paint something on her wall for her El!”
“Fuck yeah but come on you, it’s been a long day and we need our beauty sleep.” You groaned as Ellie ushered you towards the master bedroom, you just wanted to stay and keep fantasising, but Ellie was right, you were tired and you wanted to wake up bright and early to get back to Clementine tomorrow.
You each slipped off your clothes, you climbed in bed as Ellie cracked the window slightly to let the cool, summer night air breeze into the room. The only sound that could be heard was the faint chirping of crickets and your breaths as you both settle into the bed, cuddling into one another. You looped your arms around Ellie’s waist and pressed your face into her chest as she softly scratched patterns into your back. Your legs entangled with each other's as your heartbeats synced, it was serene and you felt the calmest you had felt in as long as you could remember. It felt almost perfect, but you knew once Clem was here with you both it would be perfect. You breathed in, letting Ellie’s scent linger and blur your senses more as sleep dragged you further into its embrace, she had always smelt of fresh washing that had dried in the summer breeze, it was comforting, everything about her was comforting. Her soft skin moulding against yours, the steady rise and fall of her chest, the way she clutched onto you subconsciously, she was home to you, she was always home to you, even when you weren’t speaking for those years, she still offered the comfort you so desperately craved.
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
“Are you okay?” You didn’t have to look up to know who it was, her voice was etched into your brain, all you wanted to do was leap into her arms and clutch onto her, never letting go but you couldn’t. You had already pushed her away until your time together was blurring memories swirling around your head. You had pushed her away to keep your relationship with your parents but it still wasn’t enough, it was never enough for them. You swore they wanted nothing to do with you, banishing you out of the house because you had got into a fight and refused to divulge why. Ellie was why, and that would’ve only angered them more.
You had been sitting in the park, reading a book when Petra and Suze had enclosed on you, sitting down by your side with smiles. “Hey bookworm, what ya reading?” Petra questions.
“Persuasion by Jane Austen, it’s so good, romance books will always have a special place in my heart.”
“Another romance book huh? We gotta get you out in the real world, Jason’s got his eye on you, you know, we could set you two up.” Suze quirked her eyebrow as you grimaced.
“As much as that offer is so tempting, I’d rather stab myself in the eye repeatedly than go out with Jason.”
“What? What’s wrong with him?” He’s a guy and he’s not Ellie, you missed her every minute of everyday, Petra and Suze were a nice distraction but they were nothing like Ellie, you just wanted Ellie.
“I don’t know, I’m just not interested in him like that, he’s so full of himself, there wouldn’t be enough room in the relationship with me and his huge ego.” They both giggled at your harsh tone.
“Well that’s fair.” Silence settled around you as you watched the scenery, people-watching had always been one of your favourite pass-times but you found yourself doing it more now you were constantly searching for the auburn hair you used to run your fingers through, you had convinced yourself you’d seen her this time, that wasn’t a part of your imagination like it often was but Petra’s words confirmed you had actually been seeing her this time.
“Ugh there goes the town dyke. God she’s so fucking weird.”
“I know right, why would they even let her in? Throw her to the wolves I say.” Suze snickered and everything went red, your ears rang and your vision blurred, you only remember being yanked off of Suze as Petra lay just a foot away wheezing and coughing, cursing you under her breath.
Your parents had screamed, thrown things at you, yanked you by their iron grip around your wrists to barricade you in your room when you refused to explain why you had so viciously attacked the girls that were supposed to be your friends. You sobbed and sobbed until you heard your dad shifting whatever he had used to keep your bedroom door shut tightly. He didn’t speak, didn’t look you in the eye, just dragged you out of your room and straight outside where he shut the door after uttering. “Find somewhere else to sleep tonight.” That was it. You were on your own and the rain that started to pour from the heavens mirrored your mood as you wandered aimlessly until your legs grew weak and you collapsed by a tree, desperately hoping it would shelter you from the torrential downpour.
“Hey I said are you okay?” Ellie nudged your shoe with hers as you sniffled and spared a glance up at her only to bury your head back into your knees that you were holding to your chest with a small shake of your head. “Why are you outside in this weather? You’re gonna get sick. Go home.” Her tone wasn’t nasty but it wasn’t soft and sweet like it used to be with you, it was a slap on the cheek that you thoroughly deserved.
“I can’t” You weakly whispered, barely loud enough for her to hear, she kneeled down and stroked a hand down your hair, beckoning you to meet her worried gaze.
“They kick you out again?”
“Mhm.”
“What was the reason this time?”
“I fucked up Petra and Suze and I wouldn’t tell them why, they love Petra and Suze more than me so they’re really pissed.”
“Why’d you fight them?”
“Doesn’t matter.” You wouldn’t meet her eyes, you just stared off into the distance, occasionally hiccupping as a result of your sobbing.
“Get up.”
“Just leave me alone please Ellie.” She was too painful of a reminder of how alone you were, you’d rather be actually alone than in her presence.
“Just get up, c’mon. You’re not sleeping out here tonight. If you get struck by lightning I’ll feel kinda responsible.” Her tone was lighter than it had been and you chuckled slightly as you took her hand and let her pull you from the ground, immediately turning on her heel and letting you trail along behind her back to her home. You considered just disappearing from your place behind her, you doubted that she would notice before you were long gone as she seemed to avoid looking at you like she’d turn to stone if she did.
Her garage was exactly as you’d remembered it with a couple new additions to the trinkets that littered every surface and wall. You had always loved it here, it was so much more inviting than your home. You used to let yourself in and immediately flop down on her sofa like you owned the place but now you just stood by the door, shivering and fidgeting unsure of what to do from here. Ellie was busy at her makeshift kitchen, milling through cupboards and drawers.
“Have you eaten?” She turned to face you for the first time since she had found you and frowned at your uncomfortable demeanour. “Just sit down or something, you’re making me feel weird just looking at you.” She snapped, immediately regretting it as you flinched and dragged yourself to the sofa like she’d throw you out if you hadn’t. “Sorry, have you eaten?”
“I’m fine.”
“That’s not what I asked though is it? Have you eaten? Yes or no?”
“Yeah.”
“Fucking liar.” She bit her lip as your eyes flashed to hers, guilt painted all over your features. She couldn’t see you like this, it was too hard to not just wrap you in her arms and tell you everything would be okay, that she’s here for you, you wouldn’t let her do that and she couldn’t let herself so she just turned back towards the kitchenette and began making some dinner for you both. “You know where my clothes are, don’t sit in those wet clothes, if you wanna take a shower to warm up you can.”
“I’m-”
“For fuck’s sake can you stop being so fucking stubborn and just take care of yourself? Go warm up and put on some dry clothes.” She sniped leading you to rush away from her and into the bathroom without another word. “Shit.” She muttered as the bathroom door slammed shut, she was kicking you while you were down and she felt horrible but she couldn’t control herself around you, if she could she would’ve pretended she hadn’t seen you earlier and kept walking. She heard the shower turn on and faintly through the pattering of the water she heard sniffles and choked sobs that led her to press her ear to the door trying to listen in closer. It was clear as day, the sound of your sobs that you thought the shower muffled, her heart clenched and her skin itched as it felt like it was constricting around her, choking the air out of her. She stayed at the door, just listening, she knew she should’ve given you privacy but she felt glued to the wood separating you both, she only moved when the sound of the soup bubbling beckoned her over to turn the heat on the cooker down. She went to go back to the door but the sound of the shower turning off sent her leaping in the complete opposite direction, sitting at her desk and forcing herself to keep her eyes planted on the comic that had been resting atop as you walked out in a towel, her towel and shuffled over to the drawers where she kept her pyjamas.
She dished up the soup and handed you a bowl wordlessly before going back to the desk to eat hers, the tension was palpable between the both of you, the only sound filling the room being small metallic clinks of your spoons hitting the bowls over and over again as you scraped the remnants of the soup from the bowl. “Sorry it’s not much.”
“Thank you Ellie.” You walked over to her and took her bowl going to the sink to wash them up for her, it was the least you could do.
“You can take the bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
“No I’m not taking your bed too.”
“Just-” She went to snap but sucked in a breath and calmed herself down. “Just take the bed, please.” You breathed deeply before nodding your head and skulking over to the bed where you had once stayed almost every other night, climbing in cautiously, subconsciously crawling over to ‘your’ side of the bed.
“Thanks, night Ellie.”
“Night.” It didn’t take long for sleep to overtake you, you were exhausted and your head was pounding, sleep providing the much-needed reprieve from the emotions of the day.
The first thing your eyes focused on as you woke was Ellie’s sleeping form on the sofa, curled up under a blanket, her face was peaceful, washed of the scowl that typically took over her features around you now. Suddenly everything hit you like a brick and it felt like the air was getting sucked out of you as you rushed to change back into your clothes and get out of there as quickly and as quietly as possible. You were out of the door in under five minutes and the guilt only weighed you down with every step you took away from Ellie. She had been kind and helped you in a time of need and you ran off without a word. You didn’t know what you would say, how you could face her, it was too painful, going back to your home and facing the wrath of your parents would be kinder to your heart than staying with Ellie any longer.
Ellie woke, eyes immediately scanning the room for you but as soon as she noticed you were gone without a warning, without a goodbye, she felt like she was losing you all over again and her eyes welled with tears as she pressed her face into her palms and cried softly.
₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
“Hi baby! Oh we missed you, did you have fun with Uncle Jesse and Auntie Dina?” You squeezed Clem to your chest until you heard a little squeak leave her lips prompting you to release her and tuck a loose strand of her soft waves behind her ear.
“Yes! Uncle Jesse showed me how to play catch and Auntie Dina helped me make cookies, I have some to bring home!” Clem beamed before Ellie scooped her up and spun her around, eliciting giggles from the small girl.
“Aren’t you a lucky girl? Say thank you kiddo.” Ellie pressed a sweet kiss to Clem’s cheek as she propped her on her hip and bounced her slightly.
“Thank you! You guys are the best.” Clem’s happiness rubbed off on all of you as you all chuckled. You both thanked them profusely before leaving to go to Joel’s, you wanted to thank him in person also and you needed to discuss the move with him.
As you walked, Clem in the middle of you both, gripping onto your hands, she rambled and rambled about her time away from you both until she hummed quietly, signalling she was done. “Can you swing me? Can we swing? Can we, can we? Pleaseee.” You and Ellie both smiled at her before swinging her into the air from her arms. She’d do a jump into it each time and giggled sweetly as she soared through the air between you both. By the time you reached Joel’s, yours and Ellie’s arms ached and Clem seemed tired and subdued, her tiredness only being confirmed as you entered Joel’s and she immediately took herself to the sofa to lay down instead of running straight outside to her playset.
“Hi Joel, thanks so much for watching her yesterday. Didn’t give you too much trouble did she?”
“Oh not at all, she was an angel as always, how was your trip?” You and Ellie glanced at each other before beaming at him.
“It was perfect, you gotta see this house Joel, it’s a farmhouse with a fence around the property that’s completely intact, it’s got a barn, and the house has a wraparound porch, the view is amazing, it’s perfect.” Ellie rushed out as she sat at his dining table where he had already situated himself.
“So you wanna move there?” You both nodded hesitantly, anticipating his reaction. “Well me and Tommy will have to get up there, have a look and see if it’s functional, but if ya wanna do this and it’ll make ya happy, I support ya. I heard what happened to Clem the other day.” He didn’t have to finish his sentence, you all understood what he was saying. It seemed you had outgrown Jackson and he wanted you to be happy, he wanted Clem to be happy and carefree. “We’ll all pitch in and get ya up there.”
“Thank you Joel, we can’t tell you how much we appreciate this.” Your voice croaked slightly as you tried to hold in the tears of joy that welled in your eyes.
“Well I can see this makes ya happy and that’s all I want.”
“You’re really something old man.” Ellie chuckled, a smile so wide you expected her cheeks to ache as she looked between you and him, grabbing your hand and squeezing.
“You told Clemmy yet?”
“No actually, we wanted to speak to you first before we told her but we’ll talk to her about it today.” Ellie replied.
“I’m sure she’ll jump at the idea.”
“That’s what I said.” You looked to the girl dozing on the sofa as you spoke and everything felt like it was falling into place, your life being mapped out in front of you, the sight making your body buzz with excitement.

Attitude Adjustment
Izogie x black!fem!reader x Shuri
Summary: while training as an Agojie, you have trouble grasping the concept of obedience, Shuri and Izogie help you adjust your attitude
Content Warnings: mean!Shuri, nice!Izogie, degredation, spanking, fingering, strapslinger!shuri, strapslinger!izogie
Word Count: 2.7k
“Use your core! Your movements are too flimsy!” Izogie’s voice bellowed across the training ground, her annoyance clear as day. She was getting under your skin and you were certainly getting under hers.
You stepped back from the mannequin and repeated the steps.
Lunge
Duck
Kick
Strike
The straw filled head of the mannequin cut clean off and landed on the dirt then rolled over to her feet
“Better…” Izogie looked you up and down, pinning you to your spot with her gaze,”But not good enough”
You sucked your teeth and grumbled, “Nothing is good enough for you”, but she was unphased by your defiance. She crossed her arms over the chest, biceps bulging under her glowing brown skin.
“You’re very mouthy for someone who has a lot to learn”
“Are you gonna teach me or keep talking?” you snapped at her. She clenched her jaw but her expression remained neutral.
“Drop your weapon and come over here”
The sword landed with a dull thud but you stayed put
“Come.Here.” she repeated, her voice dangerously low
The corner of your mouth twitched, itching to say something smart, but your feet moved on their own. It was as if your body wanted to obey her - needed it. But you were too stubborn for your own good.
Standing before her, you mirrored her stance with your hands on your hips
“We’ll practice some hand to hand. Keep your feet light and ready to move but keep your strikes strong”
Izogie bent her knees and you circled each other. She threw the first hit, a fist swiping quickly to your right shoulder which you dodge smoothly. You threw a kick of your own, your foot colliding with her toned thigh, barely budging her. She grabbed your foot before you could pull it back and pulled, throwing off your balance. You landed on your back, red dirt kicking up on the impact.
“Your strike is strong but it needs to be faster” she held out a hand to help you up and you took it. You sprung to your feet and dusted yourself off
“I’m tired, I need a break”
“It’s barely been an hour. Do you think the mighty Agojie stop fighting simply because they are tired? Do they endanger the kingdom of Dahomey for a few minutes' rest?”
“No, they don’t” you mumbled
“And what’s the most important rule?” she asked you
“Always listen to Izogie”
“That’s right, and you will listen to me”
The words jumped out of you before you could stop them,“Make me”
“Who do you think you’re talking to?” a voice asked behind you and you whipped your head around to discover Princess Shuri of Wakanda in your presence. You bowed in greeting, the scowl quickly wiped from your face
“Princess Shuri, I-I’m sorry you had to hear that , I swear I was-” Shuri held up a hand to silence you and your promptly shut your mouth
The princess ignored you and walked right past you to greet Izogie. White hot embarrassment ran up your back but you kept your eyes glued to your feet and your hands tightly clasped behind your back
“Zo, my friend, it’s been too long” you heard her say
“Far too long, I hear stories of your engineering genius more than I hear from you” Izogie laughed, and you didn’t need to see her to know her brilliant white teeth were on display
“We’ll have to make more time to visit, won’t we, great warrior” Shuri teased her, then cleared her throat. Your skin pricked as you felt two sets of eyes staring at your back
“So, this is the one you told me about” the dirt shifted under her steps as she made her way over to where you were standing, “She seems to still be keeping you on your toes”
“Unfortunately yes, I’m one smart word away from throwing her out into the streets” Izogie joined Shuri in appraising you up close, like predators inspecting their prey.
You felt hot all over, petrified at how turned on you were at being spoken about like you weren’t even there
Shuri stepped in front of you, her hand grazing the hem of your training gear, and you chanced a look into her eyes but quickly averted them when you saw the fire that burned inside them
“Keep your eyes on the ground”
You felt Izogie press her hand into your back from where she stood behind you, to test your balance, but you tensed your abs and stood firm against the warm pressure of her hand
“Hmmm” Shuri hummed,”Maybe she needs some reinforcement”
“What did you have in mind?”
.......... ..........
The inside of the talon fighter was beautifully decked out with the latest wakadan technology, but you could hardly enjoy your surroundings with the sight before you. The warrior and the princess sat in respective chairs, wearing identical stern expressions. Your eyes flicked back and forth between the two, your mind overwhelmed by their beautiful faces. Izogie’s voice interrupted your blatant ogling and brought you down to earth.
“Do you understand what we ask of you?”
You nodded
“Ah ah, use your words” Shuri instructed you
“Yes, I do” you answered immediately
“So”Izogie continued, shifting in her seat to spread her powerful legs, “what do you say?”
“I want it” you said, your voice just above a whisper
“Good”, they said it at the same time and somehow that one word made you weak in the knees as your stood before them awaiting instructions
“I think you owe Izogie an apology, why don’t you get on your knees and show her just how sorry you are” Shuri gestured to the floor and you slowly went down. The carpet of the talon fighter cushioning you as you crawled over to where Izogie sat, looking quite bored.
You leaned in and pecked the inside of one knee, then the other. Gently, you kissed and licked the soft skin of her inner thighs, alternating between them. You paused with your face before her clothed core, and looked up at her as if to ask permission.
“Go on, we don’t have all day” Izogie regarded you with one thick brow raised
You reached a shaky hand forward and pushed her undergarment to the side. To your absolute delight, you saw her inner labia peeking out and glistening wet. Your mouth watered, desperate for a taste, desperate to prove you were worthy of such an honor.
You closed your eyes and placed a chaste kiss on each lip, as if you weren’t burning with the desire to consume the most intimate parts of the warrior. You nippled at the sensitive skin and her legs quivered on either side of your head.
Above you, Shuri and Izogie started talking about trade agreements and war strategies, your presence reduced to a mere object for their pleasure. This only spurred you on and you dove in, lapping at her like you were starving. Your tongue worked into her, gathering up the sweet slick of her arousal which you swallowed down greedily. Using your nose to stimulate her sensitive bundle of nerves, you moved your head side to side, your tongue rigid inside her smooth walls.
You could tell she was close from the way she clenched and relaxed in rhythm around your tongue. The heady taste of her left you brainless, fueled only by the desire to please, and they both knew it.
“Look at you, so desperate to please, this is who you really are, huh?” Izogie’s voice was raspy as she finally addressed you
You moaned into her dripping sex and latched your lips around her clit, sucking on it with reckless abandon. Two of your nimble fingers pushed easily into her, and you curled them, twisting this way and that.
Her abs tensed, her thighs shook and her hips rolled faster, chasing the climax you were determined to give her
“Bring her over the edge, show her what a good little slut you are, yeah?” Shuri instructed you from her seat beside Izogie
The words shot right through you and you felt your own arousal running down your thigh, your hole clenched pathetically around nothing. The pads of your fingers brushed up against the bumpy spot inside her and you pounded them into her, and hit it with every thrust. Your arm ached and your jaw burned, but you couldn’t stop, not when she was so close.
You bit down gently on her clit then pulled back to blow cold breath onto the abused little bud
“Oh yesss, you dirty fucking whore” Izogie’s voice sounded foreign as she tipped over the edge, climax forcing her body forward. The trimmed curls of her sex tickled your nose and her thighs clamped down on your head, keeping you in place. You hung your tongue out of your mouth and panted, allowing her to use you as she rocked her hips steadily and came down from her high.
When she was sufficiently recovered, she grabbed your hair in one hand and pulled you away from her. You took your first breaths of air that weren’t overpowered with Izogie’s arousal. You sucked off the remainder of her slick from your fingers, moaning around them while you licked them clean.
You barely had time to catch your breath before Shuri was summoning you, with the crook of a slim finger. You crawled over to her and sat on your feet, waiting for her instructions
“What do you think Izogie, is she really sorry?”
Izogie put her hand to her chin and pretended to consider it,”Hmmm, not quite but she’s getting there. How about you put her across your lap? Maybe then she’ll be sorry”
The two women laughed together, mocking you. You throbbed between your legs, and a bead of sweat ran down your back, though the room was chilly from the A/C.
“Strip. Then come lay across my lap”
You quickly disrobed then clumsily climbed across the princess’ lap. Your round ass was turned up to her and your breasts were pressed uncomfortably into the armrest
“How many spanks for this greedy little thing?” Shuri kneaded her hands into your ass, pulling them apart to expose your wet, pulsating cunt.
“Ten will suffice” Izogie’s voice floated to your ears, but you were already high off the thought of what Shuri was going to do to you
“You must count each one and then thank me for teaching you to be a good girl. Understood?”
Your mind scrambled for the word you were trying to say, “Ungh..Yes”
As soon as the words left your mouth, her hand came down on one cheek. The sting was gone as quickly as it came and garbled out, “One. Thank you”
The next slap was harder, your ass bounced from the impact. “Two, thank you” She continued to rain down her abuse on your ass, until tears ran down your brown cheeks and dripped onto the once immaculately clean carpet. The tenth slap she spread your cheeks with one hand and brought down the other with punishing strength on your pussy.
The skin reddened and tingled with the current of a thousand nerve endings set on fire. You wailed loudly, thrashing around on her lap until she grabbed a fistful of your hair and pulled. You stilled in her lap, gasping quietly as the tears continued to fall
“What do you say, slut?” Izogie asked you on Shuri’s behalf
“T-ten, thank you princess”
“Good girl. Now lie on your back on the floor”
You stood on shaky legs and lowered yourself to the floor once more, gritting your teeth at the sensation of your sore ass rubbing on the carpet. You watched as Shuri stood up and got something from a drawer. It was a dildo, black with glowing blue throughout. Shuri took out a harness and secured it on herself, then handed an identical strap-on to Izogie who did the same.
“Why is it glowing?” you asked them
“It’s made from vibranium, which means it feeds the sensation of inside you to us, so we can feel it” Shuri explained easily, as if it wasn’t a feat of engineering genius
She knelt before you and Izogie did the same, both sets of eyes assessing you from head to toe. Izogie licked her lips, her eyes trained on your breasts where your nipple were hard from being stimulated on the arm chair
“You’re so beautiful,” she told you reverently, “but so very bad”
Shuri took hold of your knees and spread them, the chilly air doing nothing to cool the heat from your wet cunt, “Now that she's apologized so well, do you think we should show her what good girls get?” she was talking to Izogie but her eyes were piercing into yours
Izogie grinned “You fill her mouth so she’s nice and quiet and I’ll fill her right here” she trailed a digit from your knee to your pussy and ran it up and down your slit. You hissed, already worked up.
Shuri moved to kneel behind your head and tapped the strap lightly on your cheeks, rubbing it onto your plump lips. You took it in and sucked sloppily at the head, saliva running from the side of your mouth. Shuri groaned as your warm tongue work languidly to please her
Izogie worked one digit into you, then quickly added another, then another. Your pussy ached delightfully as she stretched you to take her.
Suddenly Shuri pulled out of your mouth and held your jaw in her skillful hand. Your forced yourself to focus on her words, even though you were being pumped full of fingers
“Repeat after me. I will listen to Izogie” she told you
You could hardly get the words out
“I will listen to Izogie” tears pricked at your eyes as you were overwhelmed by the attention of both women
Izogie leaned down to your ear and whispered “You will be a good little slut for me, won’t you?”
“I’ll be a good little slut for-”
You barely finished the sentence and Izogie stuffed your pussy full of her cock, drawing out mewls from your mouth, but the sounds were quickly silenced by Shuri.
Your head bobbed up and down in time with each expert stroke of Izogie’s hips. The louder your garbled moans, the harder Izogie fucked into you. You screwed your eyes shut as Shuri forced the strap deeper into your throat. You relaxed it and allowed her to fuck your face.
Both women’s strokes became faster, more sporadic and you could tell they were close. You clenched you walls around Izogie and reached a hand up to rub at Shuri’s clit below the strap
“Oh fuck yes, gag on it, whore” Shuri’s hips stuttered and your mouth filled with the slick of her climax that being fed into your mouth from the vibranium strap. It choked you.
She pulled out and allowed you to catch your breath but it was quickly knocked back out of you when Izogie built up a punishing pace. Both of her hands grabbed hold of your breasts, slapping them and pinching and rolling your nipples until you writhed beneath her. With one last tug on your clit and her hip angled up to hit your g-spot, you toppled over the edge.
White light burst behind your still closed eyelids and you screamed, squirming desperately while Izogie reached her own high. You felt her hips stutter and you grabbed handfuls of her ass and pulled her deeper into you
“Come inside me, please” you begged her
She obliged, your cunt leaking with the combination of both of your juices.
Eventually, she pulled out and lay on her back alongside Shuri, showing you for the first time that she was pleased with you. Your heart swelled with pride.
The room was silent, except for the quiet gasps of all three of you catching your breath
Shuri spoke up from where she lay on the floor, “Just to review, who’s a good girl?”
Your voice sounded positively destroyed as you answered, “Me”
“That’s fucking right” they said it at the same time, and somehow your fucked out hole still quivered miserably.
“Now let’s get you cleaned up, yeah?”
You could only nod and allow yourself to be lifted off the ground by the two women who had just wrecked you and fucked out every fibre of defiance from your body

Could you do the Earthrealm champions being invited by GN!reader to dance with them in a video?
If you need song ideas for this request, I got you covered:
Bet y’all ain’t know I like K-pop. Expect the unexpected. My internet is being dumb asf and I cannot add gifs so you’re getting dumb pictures I found on Pinterest
Johnny Cage
“I’m a star sweetheart, I don’t have time for silly videos”
*Proceeds to dance with passion*
Johnny cannot take shit seriously so if you think he’d be too proud to do a little dance for a video, you’re smoking
He probably wears something way over the top for the video as if he’s actually performing for a crowd
I don’t think Johnny is a natural dancer but he makes do. He probably practices to make sure he doesn’t look stupid and you’ll have to record the video multiple times until he’s satisfied
“I don’t like that one or that one or that one or-” “I’m gonna find a new partner. Oh my gosh”
Honestly I think he has more fun than you
“I think I should add ‘dancer’ to my lists of talents”
He probably asks to do it again
Idk if I see Johnny being into K-pop but the interest would start here and spiral
I also feel like he enjoys dances from girl groups more than boy groups. I once again don’t know why I think this way but it makes sense in my head
Likes more simple dances. It keeps the focus on his pretty face and outfits
“I think I’d be fantastic in a girl group” “Ok Johnny”
It’s giving “nurse! He’s out again!”
He has a new hyperfixation now. I hope you’re proud of yourself
Favorite thing to dance to is Cupid by Fifty Fifty
Kenshi Takahashi
Only does it because you asked him to, and even then he doesn’t really want to
He doesn’t hate dancing but he just doesn’t do it
Considering he escaped from the Yakuza, him being in a video with you isn’t the best idea. You can call him paranoid. He calls himself careful.
When he finally agrees, he's wearing the most obnoxious get up; hoodie, sweatpants, a hat, glasses, a mask and gloves. It's so no one can know who he is, but who in the Yakuza is randomly watching dance videos?
He won't change his mind though and wears it all.
You have to do an easy dance otherwise he'll sweat himself to death
I don't see him going out of his way to do it again. It was alright to him. He's not big on dancing so learning a dance then doing it wasn't the best way to spend his time. Also he was extremely sweaty so he's not tryna do it again
He will if you ask, but he won't bring it up first
He's trying to not be noticed but people can't help but notice him
I feel like he favors boy groups only slightly. Favorite thing to dance to is Still 24K by 24K but only the chorus because once again, sweat and heat. And YES I picked 24K because I'm never letting their name die. I miss them
Kung Lao
“I have better things to do, like training new recruits at the Academy” “If you're too scared of me dancing better than you, just say that”
He learns the dance that night
He's competitive so what's supposed to be a sweet couples thing, turns serious
Wants to do a hard dance just to prove how great he is even if it's stupid
Legit is angrily typing “hard kpop dances” and picking one at random
He has you ask the audience to comment who danced better or do a poll
If he wins, he's ecstatic and wants to continue showing off. If he loses, he's bitter. The vote was rigged. Real “Stop the count!” type shit
If he loses he wants to do it again so he can do better. He legit can't let it go. The problem is he keeps diving into hard ass dances and refuses to start simple
You have to pry his hands off the keyboard and help him pick something simple
Once he stops being stubborn then you two can actually have fun. Dancing can become a regular thing, but he's gonna keep making it a challenge
In his eyes, he always wins
Idk if he has a preference for boy or girl groups. I'll say his favorite thing to dance to is Monster by Exo because I feel like he'd want to do Chanyeol's jump
Raiden
I think he'd be shy at first. Super Shy if you will
He doesn't wanna fuck it up, yk? After being told it's not that deep and it's just for fun, he agrees
Besides Johnny, he's probably having the most fun. I feel like he enjoys spending time with the people he cares about and this is doing just that
Wants to do it again because it's spending time with you and it makes you happy
Before I even end this, he's a girl group stan and I'm standing on it
Idk why but I think he'd like 4Minute and I'm not changing my mind. He'd be bummed they're not together anymore
Honestly, his favorite groups have probably all disbanded or are on hiatus. He's not having a good time
“I like 4Minute” “disbanded” “2NE1?” “disbanded” “Miss A?” “disbanded” “CLC?” “I don't think they're disbanded but they're doing their own thing” “I hate my life”
I just feel like he'd have bad luck
Dancing becomes a new hobby though. He can't always be getting rid of threats.
Mainly does it with you
His favorite thing to dance to is Whatcha Doin’ Today by 4Minute. Honestly I can see that being his favorite song which is a real shame cause I think his favorite would be Jihyun and she got like, one line (I'm projecting)
Liu Kang
Big problem with your plan. He has glowing eyes and shades hardly dull them. How's he gonna hide that?
With TWO pairs of shades of course
I think he'd be reluctant to make the video because his existence isn't supposed to be known by random people
He'd be willing to dance with you alone, he's just not sure about the video and he won't be sure until you come up with a good idea that'll get rid of that problem
You can post it on your close friends though. They make sense
I feel like he'd like dancing to some random ass unknown group from the 80s or 90s. Who even are these people?
He did watch as civilization grew so he's seen tons of groups form and disband so I guess it's not surprising he knows smaller groups.
Idk if he'd have a preference for boy groups or girl groups. If it's good music, it's good music
I don't think it'd become a new hobby for him. He's not reluctant about it like Kenshi, it just doesn't interest him as much as you'd like
He makes it known he's doing this for you. Not in an asshole way, but in a “I really like when you're happy” type of way
I'm NOT looking up old ass groups just for this so imma say his favorite thing to dance to is Kard in general. Why? Idk. I’m spreading an agenda
I wanna write more MK1 intros but I’m brain empty. I’m miserable This was also short. My bad anon. Everyone has around 230 words

I love guitarhero, mostly thanks to you! But now I have to ask. What would guitarhero’s first fight would be? I’m all in for the sweetness, fluff, and romance. But they have got to have a sort of quarrel at some point. Unless it’ll never happen, thats fine too!
OH THANK YOU WHOOP- 😳
That is such an honor rfiycbyfeyicbeficyb AUYWUYAWFGuyaG
But man that’s actually a hard question…
I’m not sure but they do quarrel quite a bit. Still a definite believer that Adam is a brat who is madly stubborn and crass, and while Micheal is pliant to most of Adam’s wants and opinions he does put his foot down from time to time. Every couple is bound to argue but that’s honestly something that makes any relationship stronger- working around problems.
But they’ve had fights before
Short answer:
In eden their first argument would have about the value of life. In heaven, it was to do with Adam's abandonment issues because of Micheal's work
Long answer:
For me, their first ever argument, not even as a couple just in general, was the value of life in Eden/earth. I kinda explored that in one of my other posts, but to keep it short- at some point Micheal had looked at what was ‘mortal life’ as inferior. The way angels and humans inherently view life is vastly different, for me personally. And when Micheal found himself in the garden and finally met Adam, who he thought as a miracle by god, he still didn’t value the other life in there as equally. Adam definitely got mad when Micheal would scoff at and ignore the animals who were trying to capture his attention. Adam was really soft to all the animals- closest thing he had to children back then (his little babies) They get into a couple more arguments about it till Adam put his foot down. He felt it on a level unfair that there was a clear bias to him and the other life and that Micheal’s behavior and Micheal tells him he is unable to understand the connection because he just doesn’t feel it. Then it’s this whole thing of Adam dragging Micheal everywhere and showing him the wonders of life, and like really showing him. Making him wait and watch. It’s a lust for life kind of thing. The valve of the living experience and Micheal slowly comes to understand lol
In heaven they would quarrel about like general stuff that couples do but-
I think their first real genuine argument up in heaven would probably have to do with Micheal’s responsibilities and Adam’s relationship insecurity.
Micheal is a man dedicated to order. He willingly takes on more work so that peace is kept, especially because he thinks its HIS duty. Mainly a mix of Lucifer’s fall with the apple and the fallout of it- Micheal felt as the eldest sibling, being Lucifer’s closest twin (or triplet but that’s for another time), and being ones of the few guards of eden, in a way the fall was kinda his fault. And while waiting for Adam to get into heaven, Micheal took on some of Lucifur's old responsibilities and additional duties that had been created because of the fall.
Anyway tldr: the fall caused Micheal to become very work active as a way to cope with the loss of his brother. He feels the need to constantly work to keep peace and also to never think about his personal failures lololol (if I don't think about it its not there mindset- very counter productive lol) He just wants that CONTROL
When Adam finally gets into heaven, that's finally when Micheal halts some of his duties. He makes time out of his schedule just for Adam. I mean, yes, Adam has training with Micheal so that he can be supervised, but Micheal makes REAL time just to have personal one on one time with him. There is though, that nagging part of him thats yelling at him to work.
And it stays like that for a while till finally more winners come up into heaven and there is a steady growth of the birth rate at Earth. Then the work is stating to pile high and Micheal is actively being called in. He falls back into his older routine, of working and working. Old habits die hard and he adds on more work than he really needs to. It's all about having that control bby. And while Micheal is attempting to do work, his personal time with Adam lessens and lessens. He thinks it's fine because a long time has passed and Adam has assimilated pretty well into heaven by then and what he's doing is benefiting Adam's descendants.
As for Adam, he definitely has relationship issues- specifically abandonment issues. With Lilith and Lucifer obviously and a bit of Eve (cuz of the possible infidelity thing and I don’t think she’s in heaven). Micheal had been his rock. The one part of Eden he still had. He also Adam's break. As a winner, Adam was relieved of his earthly duties. He was free to chill and relax (training was Micheal's idea, but Adam had the freedom to refuse) Relaxing is his time with Micheal because it's how he relaxed in eden. And now that Micheal was going away more, he felt scared. He afraid of being tossed to the side again and this made Adam more clingy. Whenever Micheal would tell him he’d have to leave, he’d try to cling on to him and tell him that he could just do it later. Both are emotionally constipated so instead of talking it out immediately they let that stuff marinate and build up, expecting the other to address it.
It all blows up when Micheal is called in for this very important project and Adam is trying to make excuses for him to stay. This has been going on for a while and both of them just snap and words are thrown around. Neither of them have ever had a fight like this before and it ends really badly.
Both stop talking to each other for a while, but it's obvious it's taking a toll on them.
Micheal has buried himself in his work, and despite his dedication, he's become very sloppy.
Adam hangs around in their old hangout spots but clearly wants no one around. He's a lot more quiet but very heated when he actually speaks.
Even when they see each other in training, they actively avoid each other. Adam even dropped out after some point.
It's until Gabriel intervenes that he forces the two to talk it out.
It's rough, and ends in tears and stuff. All that jam.
Adam comes to understand that Micheal has a life outside of him. That while he is granted a life of leisure, the other angels have their duties that they must attend to as well. It hurts, but still. But he also gains comfort knowing that Micheal would not willingly abandon him for his work. That what he's doing is also for both of their families.
Micheal is confronted with the fact that just overworks himself. That he puts too much time in trying to take control that he's losing control of himself and the relationships he has (his work has not blocked his relationship with Adam but also with his siblings) He also comes to the realization that Adam still needs him, not just to guide him, but also be there for him.
Both are also coming to the understanding that they really need to talk about how the fall and eden in general affected them. They work it out. It forges a deep bond between them because they both now that they understand and relate to one another URGWIEGFKWEUBHo
Theres also like, a bunch of other issues that they address as well
This argument also might pipeline to why adam gets into heavenly politics. It was a way of him getting directly involved with his descendants but also to watch over Micheal, because if that man is going to try and listen to anyone its gonna be Adam. Of course theres more to it than just that but thats a part of it.
ALSO im so sorry to the the ppl who have sent me asks Ive just been crazy sick and delirious. But i really wanted to answer this question lol

violet chemistry (iii)
pairing: aged up!ao'nung x f!metkayina reader
plot: you and ao'nung attempt to regain control in your lives by fake-dating. the irony is... this is fated.
word count: 2.6 k
a/n: the finale of this three-part fake dating series!!! - as per usual, this takes place roughly 10 years after atwow - some angst, fluff, innuendo, and most importantly, a happy ending for our stubborn pair 🥹🩵 thank u so much for reading and i hope u enjoy!!
previous
Ao’nung never listens.
Or, maybe he did – so long as the thing being asked of him matched what he wanted to do anyways. So what? He didn’t like pretending. Much of his adolescence was especially hard for that exact reason – too many days spent gleaning the reef or building rafts with calloused hand when he wanted to swim or fight or both. But he did it anyways in the name of becoming someone his family could count on, and, though those early days spent teaching the Sully’s were no indication, because he had a palpable moral compass that took the form of a bone-chewing guilt. It meant spending many afternoons helping Tsireya with a chore she needed help with despite at first saying ‘no’. It meant teaching his little brother how to fish the best fish in the reef when all he wanted to do after training was sleep. Still, there were some things Ao’nung could not keep restrained, and some orders he simply could not take – like the order to leave you alone.
Obviously, Ao’nung runs after you.
“You’re chasing me? Really?” You groan over your shoulder, heels pounding at the grainy substrate beneath your toes, body dodging the weeping leaves of surrounding trees as you run.
Ao’nung was hot on your tail, but not enough to panic. He might have been strong, but you were fast.
“Yes, I’m chasing you! What do you think this is, Cinderella?”
When you reach the confines of your family’s marui pod, you draw the cloth sheet over the entrance and stop him in his tracks.
“Let me in. Please.” He pleads, hand pressed firmly against the divider, three-finger shaped shadow on the fabric.
You sit on the floor, head buried between the rounds of your knees now damp with hot tears. If he comes in, you think it’ll be over. Everything spilling out messily. Volatile emotions exploding against the walls. A confession you’re not yet level-headed enough to give. You thought you were ready, but you weren’t – who would ever be ready to have a dream ripped away from them?
You shut your eyes at the thought, lips warbling.
“This was a bad idea, Ao. We shouldn’t have done this. We’re… confusing everybody!”
Confusing me, would have been more accurate – but the revelation dies on your lips.
“I’m not confused.” He says with conviction.
It was true, he wasn’t. And not for lack of knowing the feeling well enough.
He’d been confused most of his life – living in limbo between the person he was and the person everyone wanted him to be – always a few seconds away from snapping until he found better ways to ground himself. His family. Friends. The water. You.
For once, he had an answer to those questions that prodded him about the future. He wasn’t confused. He knew exactly what he wanted.
You. You. You.
It sang in his head and it was making him dizzy.
“I asked you. I asked you because you’re my friend and I trust you, because I-,”
“No!”
The desperation in your voice cuts through his train of thought.
You shove your face deeper into your knees, sinking into yourself, wrapping an arm around them and squeezing in what’s meant to be comfort but feels more like chagrin. If he was going to break your heart, then he could do it tomorrow. You couldn’t hear his praises of friendship. Not on the night you danced together. Not on the night it felt real. On the night you’ll revisit periodically in your mind to make sure it doesn’t slip away, refining the sore but unrelenting muscles of your memory.
“Please. Just go, Ao’nung.” You whisper, voice breaking. He doesn’t miss the way you use his whole name. He feels sick.
“No! I want to know why you’re upset. I-I want to know how to make it stop.”
“You can’t, okay? You can’t just fix everything!”
The silence that follows is sign enough that it went a step too far. Ao’nung’s body feels hot, but he shivers.
Fix things was one of the only ways he knew how to help. When you lost your favourite bracelet to Pandora’s light-fingered ocean in childhood, he had little to say except a gruff ‘here’ after having spent the night making you a replacement. Now, he was a lot better with his words but the urge to remove pain like it was an internal organ never deserted him.
“Fine. I’ll go.” He mumbles, shadow slowly retreating. “But this isn’t over.”
That, you could count on better than sheep as you force sleep through bleary eyelids. To you, Ao’nung sometimes listened, but he always kept a promise.
Sometimes you have a dream.
It’s a glittering shoreline with thousands of bivalves buried in sand. Each one of them special in their own rite, you can’t help yourself but to pick them up one by one, holding up their pretty ridges against the fringing beads of your top, the urge to claim them as souvenirs running hot in your veins, but you know better – they belong to the sea. Where stagnant creatures moved great distance. How inspiring, you’d thought, that the right home could do that.
“Thief.” It’s Ao’nung snickering, and you’re really not even sure you can see him. But it’s his voice. His permanence in your life.
“I didn’t even take it.” You grumble, crossing your arms over your chest.
He shrugs, eyes lidded with amusement. “Fine, almost thief, then. Happy?”
“With you?” You’re laughing now. Always. “Never.”
“Right… the same way I never ditch training to body surf?”
“Mhm, and I never stay past curfew to count the stars.”
“And I never wanna kiss you.” He bites his lip, eyes fierce and boring through you. “You get what I mean?”
Sometimes his lips make it to yours, sometimes they don’t.
Regardless, you wake up with your lips swollen and his question playing over and over again in your head – ‘you get what I mean?’.
It’s hard to say what came first, your love for Ao’nung, or the dreams about him. Maybe they were born at the same time and dreams were, as the sky people thought, an uncovering of the gritty but sort of poignant parts of your subconscious. What you did know was that the dreams about him always came on nights when you intended to pray that your deepest desires reveal themselves, but fell asleep with the words aching on your tongue. You suppose Eywa worked in not-so-mysterious ways, waking you with the wafting smell of the salty ocean and a cool breeze nipping at your feet, soft buzzing in the air through wood-winded chimes as if to say – ‘you get what I mean?’.
This morning, though, you’re not in the mood for ambiguous and one-sided conversations with the great mother, no matter how enticing they might be to fall into.
Last night was too revealing – and you knew Ao’nung would never feel comfortable moving on to court another if he felt like you were going to fall apart without him. The goal of today was to show him that you could handle it, that he deserved to find his fated match, and he didn’t need to stay tethered to you out of pity or loyalty to a childhood friend.
Even if that goal means avoiding sticky topics and squeezing Kiri’s hand in moments of instability, hard enough that she jabs you in the rib with her elbow.
“Ow!” She yelps, eyes narrowing in disapproval. “You need to talk to him before I end up in the healing tent with Ronal all morning.”
Like he can hear her, and perhaps he can with the way he’s been keeping a watchful eye over you since the moment you stepped into the communal area, Ao’nung treads over. He has a mission of his own. If you were going to reject him, then he wanted to hear you say it, even if it meant he’d never recover.
“Can I talk to you?” He murmurs, warm hand brushing over your shoulder.
“Actually, I have to-,”
“Yes!” Kiri answers for you, and bluntly.
You cast a particularly scornful glare at her, but Kiri seems unphased, softy applying pressure at the small of your back until you tumble forward into Ao’nung’s chest.
He catches you by the hips, and you’re shocked for a moment when he doesn’t take the opportunity to tease you with a coy remark, something along the lines of ‘if you wanted to touch me, then all you needed to do was ask’, instead his eyes are fervent and his lips are fixed into a straight line.
“You wanted to talk?”
“Yeah, I wanted to talk. Fuck.” He breathes out, rubbing his fingers over his jaw. “What happened last night? We don’t run… not from each other.”
Kiri seems to disappear, finding someone to chat with elsewhere.
As you make out the words through the ocean in your ears, you soften. In the best and the worst of times, you and Ao’nung were candid. Sometimes to a degree that made other Na’vi tilt their heads in confusion, like you had an especially short threshold for the inauthentic. Really, what else could you expect from two ex-hot-heads? Old habits die hard.
Still, this was intentional. Avoiding him was really the only way to ensure that your seams wouldn’t come apart. Maybe they weren’t even there and everything was just pressed together tightly. Ao’nung can tell when something’s up. He always does.
“You’re right. You’re right, I just– I felt guilty for lying.” You bite your lip, hoping it’s enough to persuade him. “To everybody. Our friends. Your parents. My parents.” Me.
“You have a real chance to love somebody, Ao. Why throw it away like this?”
“What?” His face twists sourly at the question.“No, I don’t buy that.”
“No? What do you mean ‘no’?”
“No.” He says again, more firmly this time. “You want me to believe this is some kind of honour-code bullshit? Since when do you care what anybody else thinks? This isn’t about them, it’s about us. What is this really about?”
Before the words tumble forward, a village elder wedges her way between the two of you, a haughty smile on her lips. It’s a cheap tactic, a cop-out – but the tension in the air is suffocating. When she begins sparking a conversation with you, it’s a welcome distraction that you very quickly jump on, while Ao’nung fights the urge to roll his eyes.
“Are you serious?” He whispers into your ear, almost laughing. “How are you going to avoid me when I’m right here?”
“Oh, lovebirds!” The elder laments, clasping a hand on his shoulder with much more force than he would have anticipated. “Are the two of you keeping busy?”
Ao’nung can be petty, too. Maybe you just needed a reminder.
“Very busy.” He replies smoothly. “She wants six kids.”
You feel yourself choke on nothing, glaring at the side of his face while he purposefully ignores your stare.
“He wants eight.” You flash her a forced smile, delivering a light pinch to Ao’nung’s side. The elder looks between the two of you with an amused expression.
“Oh, did I say six? I meant ten.”
Fighting the urge to kick him in the ankle, you bid the elder a hasty goodbye, and tug Ao’nung by the hand, dragging his large frame towards the beach.
Begrudgingly, you sit yourself down on the sand and take a nourishing breath that does little to calm your jittery nerves.
“Ready to talk now?”
“You know, Lo’ak was right all those years ago. You are evil.”
“Yeah, yeah. Start talking.”
It strikes you that the two of you always seem to be in the sand. Malleable landscape that you can mark-up however you please, only to be washed away seconds later, like it never happened in the first place. Lots of catharsis came from that cycle.
Lots of sunsets spent with Ao’nung, the pair of you carving your feelings into wet sand, then letting them go with the tide. Renewal. If you put everything out there, maybe it would hurt.
Or maybe it would be a renewal.
“I haven’t grown out of it.” You begin, heels digging into granules that dig into you back. He watches you shift uncomfortably, fighting the instinct to snake his arm around your waist.
“Grown out of…?”
“My crush on you. I haven’t grown out of it.” You whisper. “And I can’t fake being in a relationship with you without caving in on myself because of how much I wish it was real.”
Ao’nung feels his heart thump wildly in his chest. He hopes he doesn’t look contemplative, because there was nothing to think about.
“Then let’s do it for real.”
“Ao, be serious.”
“I mean it.” He says earnestly, warm hands finding their way to your own. “It’s all I’ve been thinking about… no, you – you’re all I’ve been thinking about. I want this so bad… don’t you? T-tell me you do.”
The vessels in your heart pinch together.
“Of course I want this.” You murmur. “It’s just…,” hard to explain that you feel like a cloud. Shapeless and confusing to everyone you interact with. “You need better, Ao. Someone that can be tsahìk. More than just a decent shot or healer. Someone that can lead… and if we’re being honest,” your lips quiver, breaking out into a teary laugh. “I’m a really horrible weaver.”
There is silence for a few moments. Then, granular particles on your face.
“D-did you just throw sand at me?”
“Yeah, I threw sand at you.” He replies matter-of-factly. “And I’ll do it again.”
You stare at him dumbfounded.
“I’m not going to listen to you berate yourself.” He starts again. “You’re not a decent shot, you’re a great shot. Maybe healing isn’t your forte, but you patch me up just fine and honestly, I can’t really stomach the thought of anyone else doing it. You have an energy the People hang onto. Our friends love you, our elders love you, my parents love you. Above all that, I love you.”
He cups your cheek softly, pupils staring tenderly.
“Do you get it? The weaving… it’s true, that cannot be helped.” He chuckles, and you shove him gently in the chest. He catches your hand. Holds it against his heart. “But my tsahìk only needs to be one thing. You.”
As you lean in to catch his lips in a searing kiss, it feels easier than you might have expected.
No resistance, nothing holding you back, keeping you tethered by the hair or spine. Really, it’s like the air is pushing you forward into someone that it knows will catch you. Every time.
“It might be hard.” You say breathily when you pull apart.
The road ahead was something that struck great fear in you. Ao’nung has the urge to chase your lips again and never let them go, but he wrestles it just enough.
“Hey.” He tugs on your chin, crooked smile playing on his mouth. “You said you like a challenge, remember?”
Your amused laugh mixes into the smiley kiss after smiley kiss you press onto his lips. The reef is none the wiser… these kisses look just like the first one. Sure, this time they were real, but maybe that meant less than you thought.
The love was always there. A grain of sand could see it.

"You haven’t tried to kill or degrade me, and you're cute too!”
Very curious! Low ranked demon! GN! (Y/N) x Aizetsu.
(Y/N) has absolutely no memory of their human life.
Chōrō is an original OC for plot purposes!
(Y/N) eats human food to gain energy!
(Y/N) has her own original breathing but it doesn't go into detail!
(Y/N)'s demon life is similar to one for one of my Demon Slayer OC's (that I may or may not add onto Tumblr one day; still deciding).
This is old and cringe, but I'm keeping this on my profile because it shows my progress as a writer.
It must’ve been a few months since I’ve been a demon. I don’t know much about my human life, but I was once a demon slayer who killed demons. I was a tsuchinoe with much to learn, but I created my own breathing; Celestial Breathing.
I was a stubborn and honest person. I followed what I believed was right and I did my best to help others, even if it didn’t always work out—at least, that’s what my human friends say.
I visit this old lady, Chōrō, often. She gives me human food since it replenishes my energy instead of blood. My human friends are demon slayers, but they won’t kill me. I’m a exception to the slayer corps, just like my little demon friend Nezuko is.
I hide in big trees and warehouses in the day, but I usually go to Chōrō; she is very kind and lets me hide in her house.
I am a demon with no rank, a demon that could easily be killed if wanted since I have no name or significant importance. I help give the best information I can about That Man and the Uppermoons to the demon slayers, but once I no longer have connections with them, I am of no use.
Death doesn’t bother me—I would enjoy it. I don’t want to be a demon. I don’t like having to hide from the sun, fight other demons, run from the humans, find a way to get money, or avoid the pretty glowing purple trees. But I don’t want to submit easily—it’d be insulting.
I don’t have any important relation with the Demon King. The last time I saw him, I was in the infinity castle, but I don’t know why. He explained what I was and what I had to do, then set me free in the world. I'm certain he was the one that turned me, but I'm unsure why.
So far, I have run into three Upper Moons; one, two, and three. I don’t like Upper Moon One—he gave me a surprise test and was very mean to me, saying that I was a imposter and had no use, so I dislike him very much.
The second Upper Moon is very… special. He’s weirdly animated, loud, and a bit annoying, but I am on better terms with him then with Upper Moon One. He helps me train, honing my swordsmanship skills and Blood Demon Art (which appears to be my Celestial Breathing).
I only saw Upper Moon Three once, but he seems like a very irritable person, and I have a problem with people who like to berate me.
I really like the animals in the world. I think my favorite is the wolf. They’re a little mean to me, but they don’t attack me, they just growl at me. However, sometimes when I stay very still and avoid eye contact, they will come over and sniff me. I will carefully hold a finger out and they’ll allow me to pet their muzzle. Sometimes they bite my fingers, but I understand they're just scared of me like how I am of humans.
I also really like pandas. Pandas are fluffy and big. I can lay down on them. I really like to hold bamboo up and feed them. I ate the bamboo once—it wasn’t good. I don’t understand why the pandas like them but it’s okay because they’re cute and it leaves more for them to eat.
Yes, I like pandas. I like to lay on them too. I’m laying on one now! His name is Boo. I probably won’t ever see him again, but I enjoy his company, and he doesn’t seem to mind mine, so we’re friends.
I was laying on his stomach as he ate a stick of bamboo, grabbing another stick nearby and waiting for him to finish his food, then holding it out in front of him.
“Do you want more?” I questioned.
He made a funny noise. I don’t speak panda. I assume it was a yes because he took the stick and starting chewing on it.
“You’re feeding the panda?” a voice questioned in front of me.
I tilted my head back to it’s original position, seeing a demon in front of me. It wore a blue stash, having coco skin and very pretty blue eyes. It had horns sticking out of its hair that was messy and black. It was also worth noting he had this purple vein-like pattern on his forehead. They looked and sounded like a guy; he was cute, but he looked sad.
“I am! His name is Boo. Would you like to feed him with me?” I questioned, grabbing a stick of bamboo, offering the bamboo to the demon.
“No thanks…” the demon spoke, his face remained a frown as he looked at me.
“Boo is very nice, right, Boo?” I questioned, tilting my head backwards to look up and rest my head on his stomach.
He made a noise as it took the stick, resuming his meal.
The demon remained silent, deciding not to talk any further, however he stayed staring at me.
“Are you okay? You look sad.” I questioned.
Usually I’m not so kind with demons or people in general, but whenever I see something I like or enjoy—like this panda—a flip is switched in me and I turn almost childish. I’ll regret my actions for this interaction later, but I won’t see this demon again. Besides, at least he’s not trying to fight me.
“I am sad.” The demon admitted.
I hummed, thinking.
“Would you like to talk about it? I promise I won’t tell anyone. I won’t judge either.” I offered.
“No thanks—I don’t think you’d understand.” The demon spoke.
“I don’t think I’d understand either.” I smiled. “I don’t understand a lot of things around me, but it’s fun to learn. I might not understand you, but I can listen to you. I like it when someone listens to me.” I explained.
The demon hummed, thinking to himself.
“Are you a new demon?” he questioned.
“I am.” I spoke. “I don’t eat humans; I eat human food. I learned that bamboo is not human food.” I informed him. “I suggest not eating the bamboo, it tastes gross, but Boo likes it. I don’t exactly understand Boo...” I spoke, tilting my head up as Boo finished his stalk, making a noise for more.
“I suppose I could tell you...” The demon sighed, watching as I picked up a nearby bamboo stalk and gave it to Boo. “I am an embodiment of an emotion, so I can only really feel that one emotion. I share a body with six other clones, so they can really upset me sometimes.” The demon explained.
I nodded, listening intently as I grabbed a bamboo stalk, offering it to him to make him feel better. He shook his head, rejecting the stalk. I shrugged and gave it to Boo.
“I feel that I understand. Not in this life, but in my human one.” I explained.
“You can remember your human life?” the demon questioned, seemingly intrigued despite having that frown on his face.
“Bits and pieces. I get information from others about me sometimes.” I spoke. “I hope you at least feel a little better with me though.” I smiled, offering him another stalk of bamboo (to which he rejected yet again).
“I still feel sad.” He sighed.
“Hm…” I hummed, thinking. “What do you like to do?” I questioned. “I like seeing animals, and seeing my friends, and eating human food—human food tastes really good for me, unlike this bamboo.” I explained, then motioned for him to take the bamboo stick (he ignored it).
I don’t understand why he won’t accept the bamboo? The bamboo is currently making me happy since I can feed Boo, and I want to share my happiness with this demon. Oh well…
“I don’t really like much things… I don’t have the free time to do indulge in hobbies.” He spoke.
“Why not?” I questioned.
“I work for the Demon King.” He explained.
I nodded, making a mental note as I scooted closer to him, looking into his eyes. He looked at me, seeming to be uncomfortable as he slightly leaned back as I leaned closer.
His blue eyes said Upper Moon Four, so he's not lying.
“I see.” I acknowledged. “That must suck for you—or not!” I quickly spoke, nervous to offend him. “I mean, I wouldn’t quite enjoy having little free time, but I respect it if that’s what you enjoy.” I smiled, offering him a stalk of bamboo as an apology.
“I suppose it could be worse.” He hummed, then rejected the bamboo stick.
I nodded, not seeing the conversation going anywhere else as I crawled back to my spot, leaning back and giving Boo the bamboo instead.
“We don’t know each other’s names.” I pointed out.
“What’s the point of exchanging names? We’ll probably never see each other again. How sad…” he sighed.
“Then let’s make sure to meet up again, so it's not sad!” I smiled. “I mean, you’re fun to talk to, you haven’t tried to kill or degrade me, and you're cute too!” I admitted.
“Huh… cute…” He muttered, testing it out, as if not believing it.
“Yeah.” I confirmed, then looked up at the stars. “So, would you uh… like to meet here tomorrow night?” I questioned nervously.
Why is my heart beating so fast? It’s just a question. I thought to myself.
The demon hummed, thinking to himself. “I supposed it wouldn’t hurt…”
“Great, it’s settled!” I exclaimed, happy to know I’ve made a friend with a powerful being as I stood up. “My name is (Y/N), it’s been lovely talking to you.”
“I’m Aizetsu.” The demon, Aizetsu, spoke.
“Here, have this bamboo stalk. It’s a promise that you’ll see me again.” I spoke, then realized how stupid that’d be. “Y-you don’t have to keep if it you don’t want…”
Aizetsu looked down at the stick and me, then finally taking it from my hands.
“(Y/N)…” he tested the name out, having my full attention. “Thank you for making me feel less sad and…” he paused, then spoke. “I think you’re cute too…” he spoke, the frown remaining on his face, but I didn’t need to see a smile to understand that he also enjoyed our time spent together.
He walked back into the forest from where he came from, leaving me and Boo alone.
I immediately whirled around at Boo, excited as I let out a little giggle. “Did you see how cute he was? His eyes were so pretty! And he had such a handsome voice. His personality was so relaxing and adorable!” I gushed, running up to the panda and laying on him. “You agree, don’t you?” I questioned, giving him a stick of bamboo.
He let out a noise that showed he agreed, as he does with most things I say.
I like a lot of things in this world. I like the human food, the animals, the clothes, the stars, the old lady Chōrō, and the blue demon named Aizetsu.

What’s in it for me?
Chapter 4/?
Chapter 1 Masterlist
Pairing: Kyouya Ootori x Reader Author: see-the-fandom-imagines Warnings: None at all. A/N: Let me know if you want to be tagged in the upcoming parts!
You ran your hands under the stream of cold water to quickly rinse them, when a customer entered. Automatically, you lifted your head and smiled to greet them. “Welcome!”, you greeted as you were trained to, but when you looked at the customer you realized it was just - “Haruhi!” Happily you smiled and waved at your friend. “I am almost off, but I got to still clean up and wait for Taiga, he is in the back checking the stock.” Haruhi smiled as well and nodded. “No worries”, she told you and sat down at the table closest to you. This close to closing time there weren’t many customers left and it had gotten really quiet. You walked past the bar to pick up a few empty cups from Haruhi’s table to put them in the dishwasher. “So how’s it going? How was school? How was club?” Haruhi shrugged and yawned. “Don’t ask”, she said and she really looked a little exhausted. You could relate to be honest. It was exam season and with studying, helping out in the host club and working you did not get too much sleep. Haruhi was here so you could study together. “The usual. Hikaru and Kaoru resolved their argument at least, so it’s a bit quieter again. You’re back tomorrow, though aren’t you?” “Yes”, you confirmed, while starting the cleaning program of the coffee machine. “If it’s too much for you, please don’t come, it is going to be alright.” You smiled at her weakly. It was cute that she was worried. “It’s fine! We have a deal, don’t we?” And Haruhi didn’t argue with that. She knew how stubborn you could be, so she decided to let it go and you just chatted about all and sundry until you could leave. Taiga, a university student who was also working in the café part time, told you he would lock today so that you could go home a bit earlier. Thankful, you had accepted and promised him you would make it up to him and you were really happy that you could leave a few minutes early.
Still chatting, Haruhi and you walked over to your place. “How are you doing, though (y/n)?”, she asked, seeming genuinely worried about you. “You are working a lot these days.” “I am fine, really”, you said, putting on a smile, but you knew this wouldn’t be enough, so you quickly added, “I’m a bit tired, yes, but it’s nothing I cannot cope with, promise. And also it’ll all be over in a few days.” Haruhi looked straight ahead and you could see her brows furl as she replied. “I just don’t want you to overexert yourself, just to help with my debt.” You carefully put a hand on her shoulder, stopping her so she would look at you. A few passers-by walked past you a bit confused about your sudden halt, but you didn’t care. “I promise I am alright.” She didn’t seem convinced, but she nodded and smiled a little now. You kept on walking. “And also it’s not your fault. It’s that Kyouya who treats me like I am his personal mule. Can you believe him?”, you started, and you didn’t even notice how you began blabbering. “He won’t let us rest one second.” You could feel Haruhi’s gaze on you, but you just continued. “And remember what we talked about the other day? The whole thing with Renge?” “Yeah, that was really tedious”, she agreed, seemingly thinking about something. You brushed past it, you were too deep in your complaining. “It was, wasn’t it? And all just because he wanted those pictures.” You sulked for a second. “And that he has keys for everything? I mean it is kind of impressive, but still, who does that.” Haruhi nodded. “He can be very dark.” “Yeah, right? But then other days he is almost nice? And he is really smart, I got to leave him that. Without him the club probably wouldn’t work so well, but he also really doesn’t care about anyone, does he?” “Say, (y/n)…”, Haruhi tried to stop you, but you were full-blown into your rant, all the while keeping your gaze fixed on the road ahead. “And then he is always smirking to himself like he is better than us or something. It is better than his fake smile, though, I got to admit … That makes me feel way worse.” “(Y/n)”, Haruhi tried again, her voice a bit firmer, and this time you actually shut up and looked at her. “Could it be… that you like Kyouya-senpai?” That stopped you dead in your tracks. You opened your mouth to reply something, but her saying these words had gotten you by surprise. You closed your mouth again and looked at your friend, who hadn’t stopped walking as suddenly as you and thus was standing a little bit ahead of you. “For days you have been talking about him”, Haruhi continued, “and I have known you for quite a while. Remember how it was with Arai in Middle School?” Your heart skipped a beat at the memory. “No”, you said firmly, looking at the ground again. “Of course, I don’t like him. Arai was different. He was actually nice, Kyouya is just …” “Alright, alright”, Haruhi sighed, lifting her hands to get you to stop talking. She had known you for long enough to know that you were stubborn as hell with these things. “I mean”, you began again, picking a little dirt from your nails that you had suddenly realised was there, “why would I even like him.” Haruhi shrugged. “That I don’t know either." You looked at each other and you both burst out laughing. It felt good to talk to her about these things. You did see each other more regularly thanks to the club, but you barely had time to actually hang out. “Let’s go, we still need to study”, you said and Haruhi nodded. Together you walked on to your place, but you barely listened to what she was saying. You knew that Haruhi was strangely insightful in-between, but she was surely wrong about this. There was no other way. Still, the thought didn’t leave you alone until you finally reached your place.
“I am back”, you yelled into the living area, not sure whether or not you would get a reply. “Welcome home!”, your aunt's voice greeted you. Sometimes she would work late, being a nurse and all, but today she already seemed to be home. Haruhi and you walked through the small entrance into the living room and kitchen area where your aunt Miwako was already cooking. “I started to make dinner, I hope you are hungry!” “Starving”, you said and Haruhi bowed slightly. “Hi Ms (L/n).” “Oh, Haruhi! Nice to see you! Are you staying for dinner?” “Oh, I don’t –“ “Yes, Miwako”, you smiled at Haruhi. She had told you Ranka was working late tonight and you knew her enough to know that she just did not want to bother your aunt. “How nice! I’ll make a little extra you can bring your father when you get home.” That woman really thought of everything. Haruhi smiled slightly and bowed again. “Thank you, that is really kind.” “Of course, Haruhi! At this point you are like a second child to me. Ranka-san took care of (y/n) so often, I am happy to return the favour.” “We wanted to study a bit”, you said, making your way towards your room. “Is it okay, if we go into my room until dinner?” “But of course! You go study and I will call you when dinner is ready!” “Thank you”, the both of you said simultaneously, before vanishing into your room so that Haruhi could finally explain that icky math problem to you, you just didn’t seem to understand.
After another hour of studying your aunt had called you for dinner and now the three of you sat at a table filled with different small dishes and a bowl of rice and miso soup for everyone. “It is not a lot, but I hope you will like it.” “Enjoy!”, everybody wished, and you began to dig in. After a day full of school and work you had gotten really hungry, you realized. “So, Haruhi”, your aunt tried to make light conversation. “You are going to that fancy school for a while now, right? How is it going?” “Oh, uhm …”, Haruhi shot you a side glance. You hadn’t told Miwako that you were helping out in the host club and she knew that. “Quite well actually. I was able to keep my grades steady so far and I am learning a lot.” “That’s amazing. How about friends? Found some new people?” Haruhi smiled into her bowl of rice and nodded. “Yeah, I think I did.” You smiled, too. It was nice seeing her this happy thinking about the host club as her friends. Now that you thought about it, you also considered them your friends. Most of them at least. “You know, (y/n) was just telling me the other day …” She was interrupted by her phone ringing. She stopped her chopsticks mid-air, seemingly considering whether or not she should pick up her phone. She quickly checked the number, and you noticed her clenching her jaw and her expression darken. The ringing stopped. You watched her carefully, but she took a deep breath, before putting the phone away and putting on a smile again. “So, as I was saying …” The phone began again. Her face fell. “You can pick up, maybe it’s important”, you said, but you avoided her gaze. “I know who… It’s …” She sighed frustrated, but still got up, her phone in hand. “I’ll be right back.” As she vanished into the next room you could only hear her yell: “I told you to stop calling me!”
You put your chopsticks down as well, staring into your bowl of rice. You didn’t know for sure, but you had an idea about who kept calling her and you felt weirdly responsible for it. Haruhi noticed that something was wrong. “Who was that?”, she asked, her eyes flicking between the door Miwako had vanished through and you. “Are you okay?” “Yes, yes, of course”, you smiled weakly, knowing she wouldn’t fall for it, so you just kept talking. “I am not entirely sure who keeps calling her, she won’t tell me. But the other day I heard my name, so I listened in a few times and she was talking about some kind of money …” “Oh.” Haruhi understood immediately. It was silent for a while, before she turned to look at you. “(Y/n), none of this is your fault, you know that, right?” You looked at her as well, into her honest, but stern face and for a second you actually believed her. “I know.”
-----
“I told you to stop calling me! For the last time, you’ll get neither her nor the money!” Kyouya checked his phone display. For a split second he wasn’t sure if he had called the right number, but then he found his voice again. “Ms. Miwako (L/n)?” An awkward short pause before she spoke, this time with a calmer voice, yet, she still sounded suspicious. “Yes?” “It is nice to finally talk to you. My name is Kyouya Ootori and I am the director of the club (y/n) is attending at Ouran High School.” Another short pause. “What?” He waited for a brief second to see if she was about to say anything else, but as she didn’t reply, he simply kept on talking, although this talk already wasn’t really going the way he had expected. “At the local Private Ouran High School. Your daughter is taking part in our club, together with Haruhi, who I think you know as well?” It was still silent at the other end. Kyouya dared to suspect, “I guess, your niece didn’t tell you about it?” No answer. He checked his display again to see if the call had disconnected, but it was still going. “Hello?” “I’m still here, sorry. Yes, no, she really didn’t tell me about it! I was just surprised.” He heard her exhale deeply and Kyouya wondered if calling her had been a good idea. Suddenly she seemed to realize what was happening. “So, my niece is part of your club. At Ouran High School. And you are the director. And I just yelled at you?!” She yelled again. Kyouya held the phone a little away from his ear. “I am so sorry! But, uhm, how come… how …?” Kyouya considered for a moment how much he would tell her. If (y/n) hadn’t told her aunt anything about the club, then maybe it was best to stay vague. He already knew that she would be furious at him in the morning. Her aunt didn’t seem like the type who could keep this call secret. “She is honourably helping out at our club three times a week, which of course can only be beneficial for her later education. I am a student at Ouran High School, just like Haruhi, and I am calling to inform you that we are taking good care of your niece and that you can always call this number in case you have any questions. We will also inform you about all major events.” “I wonder when she finds the time for that”, she whispered, more to herself than to him. “And why is a student calling me?” He had just opened his mouth to reply, when she asked a question, he hadn’t expected. “When you say ‘take good care of her’, you don’t mean anything sketchy right? What kind of club is this even?” The suspicion was back in her voice. He cleared his voice, this was certainly not the direction in which he had thought this talk would develop. “Of course not. I am a year above her and we are taking part the same after school club and since you have entrusted her in our care, I, as the managing director, simply wanted to contact you.” He ignored her latter question, hoping she would let it go. She already did not seem to fond of him, and he had apparently told her too much already, the rest would be on (y/n) to explain. If she already was suspicious of him, mentioning that it was a Host club probably wasn’t the best idea and he certainly did not feel like having that discussion. “Uh-huh”, she did not seem convinced. There was something in her voice he couldn’t quite interpret. Again she asked something he did not expect. Ranka had not been as thorough. “Does my niece know that you are calling me?” “I … No.” He admitted. “You got to know her a little by now?” “Yes, ma’am.” “You know she is going to be furious with you.” “Yes, ma’am.” There was a small silence, before she spoke up again. “I will be looking forward to those updates.” “Certainly”, he said, ready to end the call, but she wasn’t quite done yet. “She is a really stubborn girl. But very diligent.” He let her speak. “She feels guilty about what happened with her parents …” Again, she seemed to talk more to herself than to him, but he made a mental note, nonetheless. He actually couldn’t find a lot of information about them. “Sometimes she works a little too hard. But I see how attending a club at your school can only be beneficial for her." She seemed to think about something. "When you say you will be taking care of her… is this a promise?” Kyouya faltered. A promise? On a professional level of course. But her voice suggested more than that, and he thought about (y/n). About their talks, about her ways to try to help wherever she could. The challenging smirks, the exasperated gasps, but also the happy smile when she was interacting with the other hosts. Although she couldn’t see it, he nodded slightly. “It is.”
----
“Morning”, you greeted your aunt, still drowsy with sleep, and let yourself fall onto your chair at the breakfast table. Your aunt didn’t reply, but instead was staring at you intently. You raised an eyebrow, beginning to slowly wake up. “Is everything alright?” She still didn’t speak, but instead maintained eye contact while she bit off a piece of toast. “Miwako? You are scaring me a bit.” She swallowed. “Good.” Oh-oh. “Did something happen?” She leaned on the table, still not breaking eye contact. “You tell me.” Confused you blinked, trying to fight the tiredness. You had only slept for about four hours this night the rest was lost in your studies. Her staring began to make you uncomfortable. “Tell you what?” As you didn’t say anymore, she spoke up, all the while still staring at you. Did that woman ever have to blink? “Oh, I don’t know.” Her tone was calm, but sarcastic. “What you had for lunch yesterday? Or which exam you have to write tomorrow …” She paused, before dragging out the next words. “What you are doing after school today?” You sighed, dropping your head. “How did you find out?” “Ha!”, she shouted, “So you admit it!” “What do you mean admit, I never lied.” “You just didn’t tell me!” She pouted. “Why didn’t you tell me?” “I didn’t want you to worry”, you finally admitted and you saw her expression change. “(Y/n)”, she said and began to look at you again. “I am your aunt. It is my job to worry about you, alright?” You nodded slowly, but you still felt kind of bad. “You participating in a club in Ouran High School, that is amazing. If you get a certificate from them it is going to be worth so much later on.” You smiled weakly, but it dropped as quickly as it had formed. “However.” Oh-oh. “You cannot lie to me anymore, alright? I need to know where you are, did you understand me?” Her tone had gotten really serious now. “Especially now since…” She trailed off and sighed, but still looked at you, now a bit softer. “Can you promise that?” You nodded. “Yes, Miwako. Sorry for worrying you.” “It’s alright.” She smiled again. “It is great news. And I am glad that boy called me.” Immediately, your smile vanished. “Which boy?” You already knew before she opened her mouth. “Oh, wait, what was his name? Okawa? Otaki?” “Ootori?” “Yes, that’s it! I can’t believe it, in the club for a few weeks and you already got a boyfriend.” “He is not my boyfriend!” “Of course not”, she smiled as if she didn’t believe a word you said. “So, is he handsome? And what kind of club is it anyways, are you hiding a secret talent from me that they took you in?” “Sorry, gotta go!”, you said quickly, grabbing a piece of toast and running out of the room. You knew you wouldn’t be able to fully ignore these questions, but as long as you could run away from her inquiry, you’d try. And if Kyouya had to be the one explaining to her, all the better for you. He definitely would deserve that.

I’m thinking about Ford temporarily loosing his potty training via the memory gun. And like, Fidds is his friend and is also a father so he takes it upon himself to help him out, but sometimes the parent-ese talk slips out. Like, he asks if Ford thinks he needs a change and if he recognizes that he does he’ll just go “good job! Proud of you bub.” or just other little phrases he used when Tate was a toddler trying to potty train.
And Ford doesn’t know why it makes him feel so flustered and squirmy. Like how people would describe feeling when they see someone who’s “hot” or “sexy”.
New Achievement Unlocked!: Kink Acquired 🤭
- @babybayble
OmgggGGGG
It was when the memory gun was in its infancy, not potent enough to cause severe memory loss but enough to shake some thoughts around for a while- thankfully they still come back
And this was found out by accident. Fiddleford had been working on it in between portal building - however, as he's screwing in a bolt, it clicks and misfires and grazes past Ford's head.
It's a surprise, but it doesn't cause any initial issue so, it's kinda shrugged off as the gun just not working yet
They're getting ready to head out for the evening, and suddenly Ford is very aware that something isn't right,,,,but he can't quite figure it out- until Fiddleford lets out a surprised gasp which causes Ford to follow his gaze to his pants. Which are saturated in urine and actively puddling onto the floor! He hadn't even realized - almost as if he had forgotten that certain sensation means he's gotta go!
Omgg Ford is very stubborn on the thought of wearing a diaper. But Fiddleford is able to convince him that "It's not permanent, just 'til we're able to get those memories back."
Fidds wasn't even aware he was slipping back into parent-y tones until he had been walking past Ford and did a pat check on his bottom and gave a thumbs up while saying, "Hey, still dry, good job!"
Ford ofc tries to just brush it off and continue on working. But, the comments keep playing in his mind. How Fiddleford is so masterful at the tapes (Ford definitely caught on how to change himself after the first change, but,,,,the gentleness of touch and light cooing had him pretend to not quite master it)
And c7tcg7ucgcgc6f after a week or so the potty training memories come back but maybe Ford is like "one more day,,,,it's just precautionary in case this is a fluke,,,,yes and not because I get a fuzzy feeing in my stomach anytime Fiddleford praises me for saying I need a change" xD

Chapter 20: Gravity
Joel
On one of my first assignments as a rookie, the diplomat placed in our care was ambushed during a rather standard procedure, driving him from one checkpoint to another. Gunfire rang out around us, and dust clouded our vision. My heartbeat was so loud, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to hear when the assailant approached us. There was a moment where I was dragging the client to safety, as fear left him nearly paralyzed.
During training camp, when I was only twenty years old, our crew became lost. I thought that they must know where we were, but as we began to starve, I thought otherwise. Members of our squadron were restless, some begging to be released from the program. But there were no officers around to hear them and grant them a discharge. There was no way for us to get back. It went on for almost two weeks before they finally found us.
That is why, with over a decade of harrowing experiences under my belt, I can say with absolute certainty that last night was the biggest test of willpower I have ever had.
People tend to make rash decisions when they’re under the influence of adrenaline. My experience has taught me that as well, time and time again. But in true Gwen fashion, everything about last night was completely unexpected.
I’m just glad you’re alright.
I had seen how Gwen was with her friends, her coworkers, and everyone she interacted with who wasn’t her father, or someone on the board. She was kind, genuine, and occasionally maybe even a little soft. Even still, never did I think that would be her reasoning for kissing me the way she did.
Especially not after I almost yelled at her in her apartment. My fear fused with frustration too soon. I was furious with her for leaving, and the image of her standing there, armed with a piece of decor in her silky pajamas, only made me more angry. Not at her, but at whoever keeps toying with her. I should have known she wouldn’t listen, but knowing that she only came out like that because she was afraid for me? That fueled my anger for this stalker into a full blown rage.
But the look in those eyes when she asked me to stay…
There would never be an answer other than yes. Or, always. Of course. However long you may want me.
She seemed scared, but with a woman that stubborn, I know that if she seems scared, she is terrified.
Instinct had taken over, and I wrapped my arms around her without thinking. But feeling her tremble beneath my hands was more than enough motivation to muster up the appropriate restraint. The temptation only reared its ugly head again when the regret and dejection written all over her face made me want to kiss her senseless. To kiss her everywhere, only stopping to tell her she’s done nothing wrong, that she’s okay. That we both are.
But I did resist it, even when she was unknowingly inching closer to me on the bed. Even as she slept, her hand reached over the covers, coming close enough to me that I was worried my breath would wake her up. I already knew what I felt for Guinevere Russell. I didn’t need a kiss to confirm that. What I hadn’t known was how befuddled her feelings might be, and how guilty I would feel for having to resist her.
She was anxious, wanting to blow off some steam.
I’m just glad you’re alright.
I twist my head again to look at her face, as I have been for the last few hours. Her lips slightly parted, any lines of frustration melted away. She looked so peaceful now. She was beautiful when she was angry, but she is absolutely dazzling when she is at peace. Unbearably so when she laughs. It would be impossible, downright unthinkable, that a woman like her could have any feelings at all for a man like me. Let alone lust or wanting. I wouldn’t even call it lust. It was just confusion. It had to be.
I’m just glad you’re alright.
I twist to my other side, hearing Gwen let out a small noise as I do so. Why had she been thinking of me at all? This was my job. I was here to protect her, regardless of the outcome for me. That had always been the job.
I’m just glad you’re alr—
Enough.
I stand up from the bed and bolt to the bathroom, only slowing long enough to close the door softly. I brace my arms against the sink, flexing my back and shoulders until they’re on the brink of straining.
Checking my watch, it’s 6:50am already. She’ll be waking soon. Last night aside, I’ve never seen Gwen sleep in on a work day. I huff out a long breath and turn the shower on, hoping the water will rid me of hearing her voice, her concern, and the relief I felt on her lips. I stay under the water for an extra five minutes, scrubbing my hands multiple times, though it doesn’t quite erase the memory of holding her waist. It doesn’t seem to rid me of my guilt, either.
My shirt sticks to me even after I dry off, but I don’t have any other options with me. I keep a go-bag in Rodney’s car, so at least I can make arrangements to change soon. I shake my hair in a towel before exiting the bathroom as quietly as I had entered, only to see Gwen sitting straight up in the bed across from me.
Her cheeks were tinted pink with sleep, but her eyes were wary from waking. Or more likely, they were wary from remembering.
“Morning,” she breathes, eyeing me carefully. Even under the covers, she adjusts the robe she fell asleep in to cover her shoulders more.
“Morning. How’d you sleep?” I cross the room to pull my phone out of my discarded jacket, mostly so I’d have a reason to look somewhere else. I take the opportunity to text Rod.
“Fine. Do you have the time?”
“It’s 7:10.”
Gwen groans, ripping back the covers immediately. “I have an 8:15 with Julian this morning,” she makes her way toward her bag, opening it up and ripping out the dress laying on top.
“You’re…set on going to work then?” I watch her rush into the bathroom and start to comb through her hair. I’ve watched her exercise, eat, and work, and yet somehow seeing her in a bathrobe, first thing in the morning, brushing her hair, feels like some immense, intimate privilege. It felt like someone I admire allowing me a behind the scenes look into their life. And after last night, I didn’t feel deserving of it.
“Of course I am,” she says, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
“Miss Russell, you’ve been through a lot.”
She doesn’t even take her eyes off of the mirror. “Staying here won’t make that untrue. And I can’t have anyone knowing what happened last night.”
“I won’t tell anyone,” I say softly. “If anyone asks I’ll say that I slept in a guest room.”
This gets her attention, and she looks a bit stunned. “I meant about the broken windows, and the note, especially,” she takes a shallow breath, “What else would I mean?”
You know damn well what you might mean.
“Got it.”
Her eyebrows scrunch down, but she goes back to the mirror, reaching for a toothbrush.
“Rodney delivered my bag downstairs, I’m going to grab it and get changed. I can meet you down there.”
“Oh,” Gwen’s eyes widen, her hand moving to rest on the doorframe. “You’re meeting him outside, or…?”
“No, ma’am, he left the bag downstairs. I’ll just change in the restroom down there.” I speak up a little, wondering if she misheard me the first time.
Gwen halts her movements, the toothbrush in her hand now suspended midair. Even from here, the fear etched into her side profile was glaring.
My heart cracks.
“It will take no time at all. Then I’ll come back up to get you.” I know she won’t ask for it, but she’s clearly not ready to be left alone.
“Okay. Sounds good,” her voice is cheerful, but clipped. I walk out before I make the mistake of asking if she wants to talk about it.
I change quickly into a fresh, dark pair of jeans and the light blue button up Gwen had picked out. I’m glad I thought to put some basics like deodorant, cologne and a toothbrush in the bag as well. When I return upstairs, I try to open the door only to find out it’s locked.
I knock, putting my ear against it.
“Miss Russell?”
A moment later, Gwen opens the door, looking as if she had her entire team style her. The dark circles under her eyes have been covered slightly, and her hair was soft and flowy in big waves. The deep blue dress she has on had to be one of the best things I’ve ever seen her wear, as it complemented her coloring and her curves remarkably well. Or maybe I’m just relieved to see some of the worry has left her face.
“I like that one on you,” she gives me a small smile, breezing past me as if every negative thing that happened last night had simply been a dream.
“Thank you,” my voice is hoarse, and I clear my throat as I trail behind her. When we’re inside the car, it takes me an extra ten minutes to think of how to phrase the next pressing matter.
“We should probably discuss future living arrangements today. I’m not comfortable with the idea of you going back to the apartment. Not until we figure out how they were able to break the windows without triggering the alarm.”
Gwen looks out the window for so long that I’m unsure if she heard me. Then, she whispers, “I’m not going to lose that apartment.”
“It will be temporary, I promise.”
I see her nod out of the corner of my eye. That’s enough about that for now.
I have a talk with the front desk on our way up to the office, letting them know that we will not be accepting any gifts or packages, and that they should be documenting who is trying to drop them off. I tell them that too many public relations offices are trying to get Gwen’s attention, and sending them here is inappropriate. The definitiveness of my voice seems not to raise any suspicion. After I escort Gwen to her meeting with Julian, I call Amari.
“Hey, Joel. How’s she doing?”
I take a few steps further into the hallway, making sure no one is around to hear me. “She’s shaken up, but she’ll be okay. Any news?”
“It’s news but it’s not good news, I’m afraid. Still no fingerprints. We’re guessing the rope helped someone lob them through the windows, and we’re still trying to figure out how they did it. Best guess is that it came from the high-rise next door, but we’ve contacted the owner and they’ve been doing repairs to almost half of the floors. It’s unlikely that anyone had access to the building during those hours, but not unthinkable. Especially if they were trespassing. We’re still looking into that possibility.”
“The strength to make it across the alleyway like that feels like more than a one-man job. And to make it into the correct apartment, no less.”
“That’s what I’m thinking, too. I have three of the guys scouting out that high-rise today, I can let you know if I hear of anything else.”
“Yeah, okay. Any idea on how they got past the alarm?”
“That’s the part I’m actually most concerned about…I can’t confirm it, but I think someone may have cut the power.”
“I chose the system myself. It doesn't matter if the power is cut, it’s hardwired. There’s also a backup battery that lasts at least three days.”
Amari is quiet for a moment. “I’ll have to check with the building staff. If that’s the case, it means someone cut the line from the inside.”
A shiver of regret and fear runs down my back. He’s right. He’s right and I hadn’t even considered it.
“Amari, if that is true—”
“We’re dealing with a highly knowledgeable, possibly highly trained, stalker, yes.”
“And it could be more than one person. And they’ve gained entry into a private sector of the building.”
“Yes.”
I lean my head back against the wall, silently cursing under my breath. “If the hardwiring was cut along with the power, they were in the building. So why then bother sending something through the window if they’re already inside?”
“That’s what I want to know. On top of how they got in the building in the first place.”
“Keep me posted. Thanks, Amari.”
“No problem. Also, Joel, this is just a theory, but it’s also possible they know she has a team with her in the building. Otherwise…I don’t see what would have stopped them from coming inside again last night.”
Again, my spine stiffens. I had known that I’m Gwen’s first line of defense this entire time. I hadn’t known how prevalent that threat may be, and just how invested I would become.
- - -
If Gwen had more energy, I know she would have groaned when I insisted she follow me into the kitchen after work. Though I did get a small gleam of pride when her face brightened once she saw the bowls. I had texted Melissa to prepare whatever comfort food Gwen used to ask for, and apparently that was French onion soup. It smells amazing, and Gwen closes her eyes to take in a long whiff.
“Thank you,” she says sincerely.
“Melissa made it.”
Gwen rolls her eyes, picking up her spoon. “I figured. But thank you for thinking of that.”
The soup tastes even better than it smells. Gwen had worked through lunch, refusing to come out of her office unless she had another meeting to attend. I imagine work is another form of distraction, just like last night. I try to push that image out of my head as I rip off a piece of bread from the baguette between us.
“Okay, what is it?” Gwen sighs, dusting her hands off on one another.
“Hmm?” I raise my eyebrows, mouth full of food.
“You keep giving me this look like you want to say something.”
It’s a bit uncomfortable how long it takes me to finish swallowing before I can answer her. “I spoke with Amari today, and I want to keep you updated like we talked about. I just wasn’t sure if now is a good time.”
“Ah,” Gwen gets up, making her way to the wine fridge before getting out two glasses. She lifts one to me, but I just shake my head. She pours herself a glass before returning to say, “Now it’s a good time.”
I tell her about Amari’s phone call, almost word for word. She whispers something in the middle of it.
“What was that?”
“The oven. The time was wrong. I remember seeing it, being surprised that it was only midnight.”
“It read twelve o'clock…like it needed to be reset.”
“From a power outage.”
“Right…dammit.” I take a long swig of water before I realize what I’ve said. Another small chip away at my professionalism. I peek over at Gwen, but she’s smirking.
“See? That had some twang.”
I chuckle, shaking my head at the floor.
“I have to say though, why would they care enough to cut the power? Throwing a brick through someone’s window is just as loud as an alarm. And if they knew about the alarm beforehand, they were willing to risk breaking into the building…but not my unit? There was going to be a noise either way, why would it matter?” She swirls her wine around in her glass in time with her contemplation.
“I agree. The other thing Amari mentioned is that they might have known you had security in the building with you. It could have deterred them from entering. I know your father doesn’t return for another week, but I would propose we find you a rental in the meantime if you don’t wish to stay here for the foreseeable future. And we should sign for it in another name.”
Gwen nods, chewing on the inside of her cheek, avoiding my eyes.
“That makes sense,” she picks at her non-existent cuticles. “Mr. Miller…knowing that, how your presence might have helped, only makes me more sorry for—”
“Isn’t this cozy?”
I stand, startled, blocking Gwen from view, only to see Daniel leaning against the doorframe. Unfortunately, this show of mine only makes him laugh.
“Easy, guard dog.” He saunters over to the other side of the counter so he can get a better look at us both.
“Guard dog? He has more of a right to be here than you do, stray.” Gwen glares at him, bringing me a lick of excitement.
“Oh, sorry,” Daniel says as if he lightly grazed someone’s arm by accident. He then grabs the extra glass, and pours a serving of whatever red Gwen is drinking. “Gwenny, what are you doing here anyway?”
“What am I doing in my childhood home? I could ask the same of you.”
“Your father needs something he left in the study. I’m supposed to scan it to him.” He eyes our bowls, “Are you staying over?”
His voice makes nails on a chalkboard sound like a quartet of soft harps. Why would a meal mean we were staying here?
“If it will stop your pestering, I’m redecorating. The smell of wallpaper was giving me a migraine.”
Daniel eyes her over the rim of his glass. “Ah…so you came to the most tranquil place you could think of.”
“I don’t know the meaning of that word when you’re around.”
The two of them stare daggers at each other, and I try not to make my distaste too obvious. Daniel might not have known what Gwen went through in the past twenty four hours, but this seemed to be his M.O. No matter the day, he wants to bury himself under her skin. And it was starting to make mine crawl.
“I think we’re done here,” I get up, taking Gwen’s bowl and stacking it on top of mine before carrying them over to the sink.
“Wow, look at that! He’s so well-trained.” Daniel laughs to himself, taking another sip. If it wasn’t decided before, I have decided now.
I walk over to Daniel, forgoing the option to return to Gwen’s side of the island, and I keep walking even when we are uncomfortably close. Even as I tower over him, and his back bumps against the counter, making his scared eyes grow even wider. I make sure my delivery is slow, controlled, and full of venom.
“Impeccably trained, Mr. Wilson. Perhaps you would give Miss Russell a bit of space tonight, so we won’t be in need of a demonstration.”
Daniel’s face turns beat red, and I can see the anger forming at the center of his pinched face.
“You do know who you’re speaking to, don’t you?” To his credit, he doesn’t fumble any of the words.
“I do,” I smirk down at him, “Do you?”
Daniel opens his mouth. Closes it. He opens it again, looking just as angry as he is scared, and yet nothing comes out.
I smile over at Gwen, whose lips are parted, looking at me like my hair just turned blue. “Are you ready, ma’am?”
“Y–yes.” She hops up from her seat, and again I feel that twinge of excitement. She’ll only stutter when she’s incredibly overwhelmed. It had hurt last night hearing it, knowing that I needed to ease up on her, knowing that she was scared. But now? I see that twinkle in her eye, burning brighter as I address her. I need to keep this ego of mine in check, especially as I guide her out of the kitchen, leaving a flabbergasted Daniel in our wake.
We walk in silence to her bedroom door. Gwen walks right in, dropping her purse on one of the chairs. I follow, but only a few steps inside.
“I’m sorry about him,” she says, “He wasn’t always such a nuisance, but he did always want attention.”
“It’s not your fault,” I lean against the dresser to the left of the door.
“Could you do me a favor, though?”
“Of course.”
“I might need you to come with me to buy him some Depends. He nearly shit himself.”
I laugh, real and guttural. For the first time in a long while, and it makes Gwen giggle in the way that melts every fiber of my being.
I stare at her for a fraction too long, and I end up rubbing the back of my neck for something to do. “Just for clarification, is it alright with you if we find another apartment? A hotel is too risky, there are too many people able to come in and out.”
“You’re asking for my permission? I’m honored.” Clearly the humor hasn’t died out from Gwen’s face. “But yes, that’s fine. I would rather do that than stay here, especially with the…unwanted guests.”
“Understood.”
The air grows thin with the silence that follows, and I know we’re both thinking the same thing. I’m worried, though, that she’ll be too proud to ask for it.
“Would it be easier if I stayed here again tonight?”
A small wave of relief rolls over her features. “I think it would. As long as you’re comfortable.”
“I’m comfortable.” I almost said that I’ve never been uncomfortable around her, but that would be a lie. The issue is, I’m not uncomfortable with her, at least not how she exists in reality. I’m very uncomfortable with my thoughts of her, and how infrequent my thoughts of duty and professionalism seem to be.
But when your center of gravity asks you to stay, how do you say no?

Okay I’m on another thought train and you are the designated person to travel with me on these trips. So. Consider. Reverse omens, right? Classic. Sometimes it’s all the angels and demons flipped, sometimes it’s just the husbands. But consider. Reverse omens but ONLY ineffable bureaucracy gets switched. If anything I think this has the possibility to be the MOST interesting variation of this au because, like, if only Aziraphale and Crowley are switched it changes some things but they’re like…middle to upper-middle class in terms of ranking? Not much about the structure of how things work in heaven and hell changes. Everyone gets switched? More variation but arguably too many moving parts and characters to keep track of. Just Beelzebub and Gabriel (or as Beez would probably called according to our headcanons Zuriel. And …whatever Gabriel is called in this. Any thoughts?) get switched? Throws the whole system into chaos! Like here’s how I see it. Season 1 Gabriel was a total asshole. No doubts about it. Heaven was institutionally fucked up and half of it was probably his fault. Beelzebub though? I’ve always had more of an impression that hell was bad because it’s, y’know, hell. Not that Beelzebub themself was an awful boss. Like aside from killing Eric that one time and yelling a bunch they actually seem like a pretty fair boss. Just evil because that’s their job. So like in this universe hell would be like…infinitely worse. But heaven? I feel like it would actually be substantially less fucked up with Beelzebub calling the shots. The other archangels and the metatitty would likely still cause problems as always but I genuinely don’t think it would be as bad. Crowley likely has a bunch of trauma now so oops but like Aziraphales boss is pretty chill so he likely isn’t as messed up as usual. They probably do still have that firm belief in Armageddon and all that but there probably less “we’ll kill you if you don’t go along with this. pick a side Aziraphale” about it and more “Look man I’ve been ignoring you and my brothe- (yes I’m bringing ssiblingzz shit into this. You probably know my brainrot well enough by now to have guessed I would.) Crowley’s shit for millennia I can’t do that any more. It’s time to fight. Please stop being stubborn I don’t wanna have kill you you’re the only bitch I respect up here.” (Beelzebub has always seemed more aware of Aziraphale and Crowley’s situation than Gabe so I kind of think in this situation they’d actually be the type to turn a blind eye to it?)
I do have more thoughts but I need to make food so enjoy this for now and share any of your ideas. I’ll probably be back soon with more.
OOOOOH WAIT YOUVE GOT A POINT THERE- I think Gabe would be some demon like perhaps Camio (from googling, he seems to be "Demon of persuassion and communication", which seems very up his alley, and his Wikipedia article mentioned him being leader of a bunch of demons, so it makes sense-), and he'd treat Hastur, Shax, and Ligur like he treats Uriel, Michael, and Sandalphon. Beez would for sure be dry, and tired, but I think ze'd be a pretty good boss too- the other Archangels may treat zir with an actual respect! ze might also give Aziraphale some slack for interacting with Crowley, since a) it's zir brother, and b) ze might understand how he feels 👀 Demon!Gabe (Cammy?) tho, he'd smell more of plastic-promises, be more manipulative and conniving, and maybe even be more in his element, cuz being a demon doesn't take a "I'm smart and mighty, follow me" mentality, it takes an obey-or-die mentality. I mean, "t-o-s-t...e. TOAST!!" put great emphasis on that ADHFH- (also him possibly being considered as Lucifer's brother? and fellow starmaker with Angel!Crowley?? SO MANY ANGST OPPORTUNITIES-) however, he would probably be extra with keeping track of the intentions of Crowley's miracles, and yeahh poor Crowbro may be kinda frucked up even more-
I think once he sees how Zuriel actually cares about him and sees him as someone other than a big scary demon, as an actual friend and companion who understands him, he puts down his guard and fight-or-flight, and changes for the better with zir. (maybe he didn't particularly enjoy having to manipulate and scare others into doing what he'd been ordered to do, but had to in order to survive? or maybe he and his possible brother team up and are conniving little shits, whatever you think is best ^^)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING ALL OF THIS WITH ME I LOVE YOUR HEADCANONS ADN STUFF SO MUCHVAHFJDHG

Okay
So
I might be losing my fucking mind over the Servants of the Springs = Zonai theory, and have spent the day trying to draw them and failing badly because heavy detail in art is my weakness
So fuck it we ball
Here is my interpretation/FULL theory on what I think is going on with these dragons
Although they are named after the Golden Goddesses, they’re not necessarily goddesses. Yes, they came down from the skies like the other Zonai and were revered as being deities but they didn’t create anything like in the original myth from oot. The description of the dragons never mentions anything godlike about them and instead they’re called servants. That kinda makes me think that they simply took care of their respective springs; perhaps they were priestesses, and the Frostbite, Ember and Charged sets are their respective religious clothing. Also I should note here that they are sisters!
Obviously they have secret stones, and despite not being called them they are essentially sages (also I would love if these secret stones are actually triangle shaped but I might be wishing for too much). Naydra is the Sage/Priestess of Wisdom, Dinraal is the Sage/Priestess or Power, and Farosh the Sage/Priestess of Courage.
Naydra is the eldest of the three. She is calm and level-headed, and loves her sisters dearly. She is a source of knowledge for Zonai kind. Her secret stone amplifies her ability to calm her surroundings, easing anger and causing threats to forget what even made them attack in the first place (known as Naydra’s Aura)
Dinraal is the middle child. She is stubborn and snarky, but still has the heart to hear people out. Along with spring duties, she is also responsible for overseeing Zonai warriors and their training. Her secret stone amplifies her overall fighting prowess; increasing strength, speed and agility as well as dealing fiery damage (known as Dinraal’s Blaze)
Farosh is the youngest. She is lively and curious, but still manages to take her job seriously when she has to. When she isn’t caring for her spring she is busy exploring Faron and everything else Hyrule has to offer. Her secret stone amplifies her ability to shield herself with electricity, shocking anything that attacks her and allowing her to plough through enemies (known as Farosh’s Spark)
As for why they ended up as dragons in the first place it’s kinda hard to say, but I have a couple of theories
Theory 1: they were under threat, and consuming a secret stone was the only way to protect both themselves and their springs. Zonai are revered as gods and no doubt, as we see in totk, the people of Hyrule upon hearing of these Secret Stones desired the power they could bestow on the wielder. Perhaps Ganondorf made an earlier attack on the Zonai, and before going for Sonia he made an attempt on the sisters (he seems to know of draconification, even though we don’t see him ever learn of it). Either way, the sisters know that they can’t let their Secret Stones land into the hands of evil, and there’s no way they can survive against an army while keeping their springs safe. So, as an ultimate sacrifice to save Hyrule, they eat their stones at their springs, and the entirety of the land quakes as three dragons rise into the sky.
Theory 2: Zonai extinction. By totk we know the last two living Zonai (in Hyrule, at least) were Rauru and Mineru. Something had to have wiped out all of the Zonai that first came to Hyrule. Perhaps it was disease? Or maybe an ancient war, before Rauru rose to the throne? I’m leaning towards war. Consuming a Secret Stone seems to be something that one would only do if they were desperate. Zelda was desperate to help Link and return to him, Ganondorf was desperate for power. Naydra, Dinraal and Farosh were desperate for the Zonai to live on and protect an ounce of their culture; their springs. Maybe they even hoped that one day they would be able to come back as Zonai? (Both theories are assuming they even knew about draconification before swallowing their stones. Can you imagine swallowing your secret stone, thinking it won’t do anything but then suddenly you’re a dragon?? Scary)
Mineru was a close friend of the sisters. They all came down to Hyrule when they were young and grew up together. She was forced to watch her friends turn into dragons and couldn’t do anything to stop them. Thats why she is so upset when Zelda ultimately decides to swallow her secret stone. Zelda is, possibly, her last surviving friend, and even though Mineru is close to death in that memory she dies knowing she once again failed to save a friend
If Nintendo were to make a dlc of this I think it would be similar to Champion’s Ballad. Kass returns after researching and learning ancient Zonai songs and many of them are about the dragons. Link travels Hyrule and new sky islands, doing shrines inspired by the three sisters and uncovering some of their final memories. He never gets to meet the sisters, nor wake them from their eternal slumber (mostly for the sake of the game being able to continue afterwards, imagine doing the dlc and not being able to see the dragons afterwards lmao) but he manages to ensure their springs are safe and bring some peace to the dragons.

🐻A Jewelers Expertise🧸
This is related to the first two fanfics I did about Alfie and Teddy, but this one is very sweet. And also has a bit of jealous Alfie.
Tags: @hoodeddreams13
“Alfie! We got a new shipment of jewellery!”
“About fucking time!!!”
He walked to the boxes and had a look at the items, carefully, through his eyeglass. He picked up a ring and asked, “Why the fuck is this mainly paste?!” He threw a bunch of other jewellery out of the box, when he found a cross. One that had real crystals that were embedded into it. “That one’s alright! I think I’ll have that”. “But… you’re Jewish—!” Alfie rolled his eyes as he asked, “Did I fucking say it was for me?! Ey?! No! I fucking didn’t!” He threw more jewellery out, finding very little authentic jewellery, and more paste. “Shit”.
“Alright, who fucking sent us this box?! Find out and fucking shoot ‘em!”
When he got home that night, he groaned and petted Cyril, who greeted him at the door. “Alright, where is he…? Still in bed, buddy?” Alfie walked into his room, finding Teddy, still sleeping. He had been unwell for a week, so Alfie refused to let him work. His job was to rest. He sat on the bed, waking Teddy up, and he sat up with a smile. “Sorry… I didn’t hear you come in…”. “It’s alright, sweetheart. You should be resting. But, I got a shipment of jewellery today, which turned out to be paste. So, I wasn’t happy. The man who sold us that shit thought he could scam us, so we shot him!”
Teddy then hugged his arm and said, “I’m sorry work didn’t go so well”. “Yeah, well, enough about me. Are ya getting any better?” The blonde nodded and said, “I stopped sneezing. I just have a cough now”. “Heh… because you take your medicine”, Alfie chuckled, as his boyfriend glared up at him. “Hm. You don’t, you stubborn man. Thinking you can take on the world?” He rolled his eyes and kissed his head. “Alright. Shut up, you. Here”. Teddy looked down at a red box, and he was surprised by it. “Alfie, you could’ve sold this…! Any jewellery that was authentic is profitable”. “You make it sound like I don’t know how to work! Would ya just open it?”, Alfie asked. Teddy giggled, doing so.
Then his eyes widened in shock. “Y-You…”. “You lost yours in the war, didn’t ya? I know your first one was from your Mum… but when I saw this, I just thought about how much it would make ya happy, ya know?”, Alfie explained. Teddy then teared up and nodded as he leaned against him. “I’d kiss you, but I don’t want to make you sick, either”. Then Alfie laughed softly as he said, “I’m built like an ox! I’ll be fine!” “Yeah, well… when you’re sick, you become grumpy. I ain’t dealing with a grumpy Alfie if I can help it, yeah?”, Teddy told him. Alfie then took the cross out of the box before he put it on him, and then kissed his lips very lightly.
“Oi! What did I say?!”
“Haha! I’ll be fine!”
A Week Later…
Teddy was known for having his collar bone out for all to see, mainly for Alfie to kiss though, and his brand new necklace did catch the attention of Luca. Teddy was sat in Alfie’s chair, as the two waited for him, but the Italian decided to start a conversation. “So… are you Catholic?” “No, I’m just a Christian, mate. I have been raised to believe in God, but I’m not a Catholic”, Teddy told him. Luca chuckled as he played with the matchstick in his mouth. “Yet, you’re in love with a male Jew?” “Got a problem with that, mate? Or have ya ran out of things to say to me already”, Teddy said.
“I think you look good like that. You know, I don’t just sleep with women… so, if you ever want—!”
“I suggest you shut the fuck up before I decide to kill you, right here, right now. I love Alfie”.
One of Luca’s men trained a gun on him but Teddy’s glare made him uneasy. “There’s no need for that! He is loyal… and in love. We can respect that”. Teddy sat up as soon as Alfie walked in and asked, “Have you been keeping my seat warm for me, love?” “Yes, sir”. Alfie almost purred and he kissed Teddy gently just before sitting down, pulling the blonde onto his lap. “So, what do we need to discuss now? Because last time, you were a bit of a cunt, mate…”, Alfie said, just as Teddy lit a cigarette, which calmed him down. “I’m sure you’re aware, but we got some jewellery sent to your place. But… none of it was any good?” “Nah. All of it was paste. Like, what the fuck were ya trying to do there, mate? You are aware… that I’m a jeweler…”.
“As I can see, by that fine piece you gave your lover”.
“So much as look at him and I’ll shoot you, yeah?”
Teddy smirked and Luca said, “I want to give you… a peace offering. I’ll have my men deliver the finest, and then you can sell it before a good price. But you give us fifty percent of the profits”. “Nope! Now, if it were the other way around, that’d be fine. But we’re the ones selling your shit! So, we should get most of it”, Teddy told him. The Italians laughed before Luca asked, “Is he serious?” “Yeah”. Alfie’s expression told them all they needed to know. “Fine. Sixty to you? Do we have a deal?” “Nah, mate. Seventy-five. Like my lovely lad just said, we’re the ones selling your shit…!”
“Fucking bastards”, Luca said in Italian.
“Alfie, why don’t we give him a break? Seventy? How does that sound?”, Teddy asked, using his charm.
“You’re getting a spanking”, Alfie said in Yiddish.
“Fine. Any other requests?”, Luca asked.
“Yeah! You fucking look at my love the wrong way again, I’ll fucking shoot ya! Alright…?”
