Me again 😅 can i request jealousy smut with Evan where him and reader happen to run into her ex while out in public.
omg every idea you come up with is always so good, love this request, i improvised a bit so if you want any changes made just let me know!
𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: ok so i improvised a bit but as we all know evan won a golden globe (so proud of him, it's so well deserved) so he takes you as a plus one, where you bump into your ex working at the bar.
tw: smut, jealous sex, public sex, blowjob, slight humiliation in a way (also sorry this isn't spell checked)
𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
'and the winner of the golden globe for the best performance by an actor in a limited series film...' the announcer paused, leaving the audience tense and on edge, i rubbed my hand on evan's thigh reassuringly, he was sure to win after all his performance was perfection as always. '...evan peters!'
i could practically feel his apprehension, i felt so bad he truly despised public speaking, i cheered him on, he quickly pecked my cheek, before raising a hand and walking onto the stage to receive his award.
tears brimmed in my eyes, i was overjoyed this award for his magnificent work was long deserved ,i couldn't have been prouder. i took a deep breath consoling myself, before he caught me off guard, 'and a hugee thank you for my beautiful girlfriend, who is there for me no matter what, none of this would be possible without her..,' he choked up slightly, 'thank you for dealing with with my brief insanity.' he chuckled.
༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
after celebrating with evan, he had told me there was a scheduled interview for him and ryan murphy, to discuss his acheivements, to which i completely understood.
'it shouldn't be too long,' he smiled reassuringly, wrapping a hand around my waist gently bringing my body closer to his, our lips slowly colliding as he ran his fingers through my hair, before slowly drifting away. 'just wait at that bar,'
'affirmative,' i chuckled, as evan smiled before swifty walking away to the designated area for press and media coverage of the event.
i wandered over to the bar, non-chalantly ordering, 'um, i'll have a disaronno and coke please,' i took a quick second glance at the barman, wait was it? no fucking way..it couldn't be.
'sure gorgeous,' he had swiftly turned around before i could fully observe the man, there was no way that he would be working here?
as he finished preparing the drink, he carefully pushed it towards me.
oh my god, it really was him, i hadn't seen my ex in years, no way it was happening tonight. our relationship ended on pretty smooth, friendly terms but our relationship was frayed and far from perfection. it had caused me to have an odd perception on love, which was momentarily fixed by evan.. the man i had been with for years now, who had just experienced perhaps one of the biggest nights of his life, and he decides to make an un-needed appearance.
i began to swiftly drink the mixer, hoping the alcohol would help relieve the awkwardness of my current situation.
'well y/n, long time no see, huh?' he chuckled, to which i didn't know exactly how to respond so just nodded my head, laughing a bit,as i shifted in my seat uneasingly.
'still drinking the same drink, huh,' i forgot how untolerable this man was so attempted to brace myself. 'god, i remember that's all you'd drink on nights out i guess some things never change.'
i chuckled tensely, 'haha, um i guess so,' i paused, recollecting my thoughts, 'but a lot has also changed since then.'
'oh yeah,' his voice deepned slightly, 'moved on pretty quick to your hotshot, hollywood pretty boy.' he chuckled, his voice rather stern and aggravated, coming out like a somewhat scowl.
i uncomfortably shifted my gaze elsewhere, taking a large sip of my drink.
'speak of the devil,' he pointed towards the room evan previously resided in, i whipped my head around to a rather aggravated looking evan. 'have fun with that.' my ex muttered smugly, taking a full body glance at me, practically gawking at me like a fool-to which i scoffed.
i practically ran to evan, 'thank god you're back,' i giggled relieved, although evan did not seem humoured at all by my remark.
'we're leaving,' his tone was harsh and coarse, unlike his usual8ly bubbly self.
'don't you have more press stuff to do, the awards haven't even fini-'
before i could even finish my sentence, he grabbed my hand assertively, 'it doesn't matter, we're leaving.' i traipsed behind him, confused by the rapid change in emotion, what was possibly wrong with him.
we walked to the car parked practically in silence, which remained until i innevitably became fed up by the odd tension flooding the air, 'whats wrong, ev?' i placed a hand on his thigh comfortingly, to which he swatted away.
he scoffed slightly, 'don't be like that y/n,' he paused, taking a deep breath in attempt to console himself, ' i was gone literally 5 minutes.'
i raised an eyebrow, confused by his aggravation,'huh, what do you even mean?' i was truly puzzled by what it meant, until it hit me..was he jealous?
'omg evan,' i giggled, 'it's not what you're thinking at all,'
he scoffed, 'don't play games with me, i know who he is,' he knew him? was all i could think. 'he's your ex right?'
'yeah, but we've discussed this before he's vile and despicable,' i paused 'y'know i only have eyes for you.'
'well you might, but he certainly didn't,' he jeered, 'he was practically oggling you, his eyes were pretty much out of his head like a stupid cartoon character.'
'he wasn't.' i said in dismay, to which evan grimaced.
'oh him undressing you with his eyes, wasn't oggling you,' he questioned, to which i sat timidly in silence with no response to give, 'that's why i have a plan, get in the backseat, i'll show him the only man that gets the view he clearly is so desperate for.'
this took me by surprise, but i did as instructed.
he pushed me down rather roughly onto all fours in the back seat, before quickly coming behind men trailing his hands down my back. he neared close to my hear, his body pressed up against mine, he pushed my hair to the side roughly marking my neck, 'eva-evan we're gonna get caught, we can-'
this only made him kiss my neck harder, causing a moan to escape my lips, 'i bet you wouldn't mind,' he muttered, 'especially that greasy fucking bartender, huh?'
'no evan, you h-have the wrong idea,' my breath hitched as he began to slowly pull the bottom of my dress up
'oh do i?' he mocked, 'well either away, you're gonna go back by my side and he's gonna know exactly who gets to have you, fuck you and love on you.'
he pushed my panties to the side, using his ring and middle finger he began to tease my entrance, 'fuck, you're so wet,'he paused basking in glory, 'and who got you like that pretty girl?'
'y-you, only you evan. i stammered, god he was so fucking hot when he was jealous.
'good girl,' he grunted, slipping his two fingers into me, slowly but becoming increasingly more rapid, only intensified by him playing with my clit, 'he'd never please you like i do.'
i smirked softly, i hadn't ever seen him jealous, but it only turned me on, i became even more slick beneath his touch.
'evan, fuck me please.' i whimpered in pleasure.
'eager, aren't we?' he chuckled, but i could hear him slowly unbuckle his trousers, he pulled his boxers down his boner practically bursting out, he began to gently pump his hard dick in his hands, 'you ok?' he checked, i nodded in reassurance, even in a caught up moment of jealousy he still was so considerate.
'ok, pretty girl,' his voice deep and raspy, causing me to become even more turned on by him, practically leaking over his cock, as he began to slowly thrust in and out of me, leaving me at a loss for words, he had never fucked me quite like this so i simply allowed myself to be consumed in the moment, not saying a word, allowing my moans and whimpers of pleasurre.
evan quickly fastened his pace, his hands on my hips, 'fuck you feel so good,' his words of affirmation caused me to rock my hips back, so he could fuck me even harder, to which he grunted.
he slyly took his left hand and began to rub circles on my clit, causing my hips to buck backwards into him, which made him grunt.
he fastened his speed as he felt my walls clench tightly around hid length , 'evan im gonna-'i whimpered, being fucked blind practically, struggling with a sudden inability to speak as the waves of pleasure consumed me.
'you're gonna what, baby?' evan grunted, thrusting slightly slower, his cock throbbing inside me, he was on the verge of coming too.
'come on, use your words,' he spat slightly irritated, 'you were all talk with that guy earlier, tell me what you want and i'll give it to you.'
'evan please,' i practically begged, 'help me cum.'
'that's all you had to say,' he smirked as he rubbed my clit with more agression.
'argh fuck, omg,' i moaned, as my slick practically leaked from me, i was in a state of pure ecstasy as i finally came under his simple touch.
'i bet he couldn't make you cum like that,' he sniggered.
'no one ever could.' i panted, slowly retrieving my breath, tying up my hair which had become stuck to my back.
'but before we go back in again, can you do one thing?' he questioned, as he continued to slowly stroke his member.
'mhm,' i moaned, knowing exactly what he wanted.
i crawled over to him, slowly stroking his cock, 'fuck,' evan grunted, 'please don't tease me anymore, just take it.'
i nodded my head in compliance, slowly beginning to take his length in my mouth, i bobbed up and down whilst simultaneously playing with his balls, i could tell he was near an orgasm. so i began to focus on his tip. i circled his tip with my tongue, looking up at him his dark eyes fixated on mine as he roughly tugged my hair, 'such a good girl,' he praised, cupping my face with his other hand. causing me to have to look up at him.
within a few seconds he began to slowly thrust his hips forward, his body tense and rigid, desperate for a release, he pul my hair as he fucked hard into my throat, causing me to slightly gag at the abruptness of his action, 'fuck i'm gonna cum,' i could tell he didn't even have to say it. it was only moments later, after i gave him my approval, he came in my mouth.
'omg.' i began to wipe my mouth, he had made such a fucking mess, however that was nothing compared to the sight i came to view in the car mirror, wow.
my hair which was previously perfectely styled, was now a mess, more parts than others. my skin extremely dewy from the sweat on my face, i looked a complete state.
'i can tell you're overthinking, you look beautiful, come on.' he kissed the soft spot on my neck, leaving a deep mark on my collarbone, which could only slightly visible no matter what i did, as he cooed to me smugly, 'now let's go back in.'
he had a huge smirk on his face, as we both quickly readjusted ourselves. he took my hand, as i raked a hand through the mess of my hair managing to somewhat tame it as we entered the venue. as we stepped inside evan murmured against my neck, 'don't fix up too much, i want him to know what i do to you.' as he took my hand guiding us over to the bar, us both taking a seat, his hand resting on my thigh, 'we can always go for round 2 in the bathroom,' he murmured just loud enough for me to hear it, causing me to become flustered under just his words and my imagination of what was to come.

do you think andrew could have been nominated for an oscar?
I honestly think he had a solid chance before award season started. His name was top five of everyone's lists, and he even did some of the pre-award show press gigs like the roundtable discussion and the actors on actors series. Then as the award season progressed after the Golden Globes and he didn't make the Emmys or the Critic's Choice awards, that's when he went from definite top five to a strong alternate to the top five with Barry Keoghan and Leonardo DiCaprio thrown in the mix with him.
The nail in the coffin was the lack of a BAFTA nomination, though. If the market (British) his movie should ideally do the best in didn't stand up for him and go "Listen - we know the movie is limited run and even that's not officially out everywhere yet - but he is that good and one of the best we have to offer", then who else was? I was telling some other people on here the day the nominations dropped that was the one award I wasn't even worried about because I thought that was a no brainer. Like, the night before the announcement I actually checked the website because they're a few hours ahead of me to see if the names were listed yet. Instead I found some pictures, posted those, and went to bed saying I'd just reblog the news when I woke up. So imagine my confusion in the morning when I saw the ENTIRE internet was scratching its head about what happened.
After that, there was a slight chance the academy would do a 'passion pick' of sorts since his performance was so universally adored from fans and critics alike. But the best actor race was tight this year, and the little extra nugget of Oscar bait he carried with him (being the first gay person to win best actor for playing a gay person) wasn't going to be enough to push him across the line. It felt very much like all the voting bodies said "we enjoyed your performance immensely, buuuut we already have who we want (and truth be told had since the start of the season)", and he was kept in the conversation that long because it would have been dubious not to have him in it to begin with.
I wasn't deluding myself to think he could have won (this was always gonna be Cillian's to lose), I just wanted him nominated. He deserved at least that. But this will not be the last time he's in the running - trust and believe.
#Also Andrew ''admits that he'd rather not do interviews ('I'd love to phase it out in the future')#and only gets through the attention by reminding himself he's there to sell a project'' Scott#is not actively trying to make lists and appeal to voters outside of his letting his work - well - do the work for him.#If he gets nominated - okay! If he doesn't get nominated - okay!#Campaigning has never been his thing and it can be frustrating as a fan seeing him be overlooked#when you know half the project's popularity is because of him alone (see: Fleabag and his lack of Emmy nomination).#Plus that boy doesn't want to extend his reign as the darling of the gay hollywood circuit#and stay on the RPF Express tour with Paul Mescal forever.#He wants to go back to his regular old life of hanging out with Ben Wishaw and Aisling Bea every day#wearing that button-up rainbow Topman shirt and polishing his dainty little gold necklace before hitting the clubs.

Looking at Sam Claflin's awards and nominations page on IMDb.
The role of Billy Dunne got him 3 nominations for best actor in lead role in limited series: Golden Globes, Astra Television Awards and Daily Cooler Awards.
MTV TV and Movie awards are so ridiculously idiotic, you have to question whether they are a joke. (Do they take place on 1 April?) Sam has 4 nominations. Aside from the tone-deaf "best kiss" for DJATS, he's got "tearjerker" for Me Before You *eyeroll* and "Best Shirtless Performance" for Hunger Games Catching Fire (lol way to undermine the theme of the series). At least "Best Fight" for the same film is a respectable category.
On the other hand, his Teen Choice awards nominations are quite decent. He's got "Choice Summer Movie Star: Male" for Adrift (an overlooked film!), "Scene Stealer" for Hunger Games Catching Fire (well, he was), and "Choice Movie Breakout" for Snow White and the Huntsman (this makes me most happy as I always feel like I'm the only person who loves him in this film). The last one is "Liplock" for Me Before You, *double eyeroll*.
Sam was twice nominated for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Empire Awards (Best Male Newcomer) and MovieGuide Awards (Most Inspiring Performance in Movies). I realise these are quite minor award shows, but it still pleases me, bc Sam as Philip is one of my fave roles of his and it was his first big film, so no doubt he felt honoured!
His actual wins are: Australian Film Critics Association Awards for Best Supporting Actor for the Nightingale, Veterans Film Festival for Best Male Actor for Journey's End and the Spotlight Award at Savannah Film Festival. Plus, he shares the Guild of Music Supervisors award for best song written/recorded for Television for Honeycomb with his onscreen bandmates and the songwriters.
I keep saying awards should not matter and going into an acting job with the goal of winning an award is not a good reason to take on the said job, but at the same time, it's nice to be recognised. If Sam continues acting as he does, there will no doubt be trophies waiting to be collected by him in the future!
#sam claflin#samblogging#awards#we want emmys we want oscars we want golden globes#we want critics choice awards#anyway mtv can't handle the count of monte cristo. too complex for them#mypost

Tom is gonna get a golden globe nom just b/c there is very little competition in his category of best actor in a limited series I cant even name 5 male actors who would even fill out that category. Like I guess jharrel jerome for Im a virgo, steven yeun for beef I guess and with shows being pushed back due to the strike I dont even know what else is coming out ( maybe my boy nathan fielder for the curse)
I think he's gonna get one too Anon! 🤭🤭
I can feel it!
Golden Globes here we Cooooomeee!!! 😁
The thing with the Golden Globes too is that they usually separate different categories (wish the Oscars did this), so actors have more of a chance at winning in their category. 😊

Jeffrey Dahmer Victim's Mother Calls Out Evan Peters' Golden Globes Win It feels like Netflix's Dahmer series came and went, despite being one of the biggest debuts on the platform. After the show's star Evan Peters snagged a Golden Globe Award for Best Limited Series Actor for playing the titular serial killer, the families of Dahmer's real life victims still have a lot to say.Shirley Hughes, the mother of Dahmer's 31-year-old victim Tony Hughes, spoke up about Peters being praised for portraying one of humanity's most grotesque figures. In a statement provided to TMZ, she said that Peters should have used his acceptance speech to "mention the families who are still suffering from Dahmer's crimes, or to say Hollywood should put an end to telling stories about killers and glorifying them."Related | Do We Need More Serial Killer Movies? In his acceptance speech, Peters acknowledged that the show was "difficult" to make and watch, but he "sincerely hoped some good came out of it."Hughes still thinks more needs to be done, telling TMZ, "There's a lot of sick people around the world, and people winning acting roles from playing killers keeps the obsession going and this makes sick people thrive on the fame." She also brought up the unfortunate reality of the victims' families who do not receive compensation and do not need to be contacted for permission to use their loved ones' likeness. "It's a shame that people can take our tragedy and make money," Hughes said. "The victims never saw a cent. We go through these emotions every day."Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is the work of celebrated television writer Ryan Murphy who received the Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Globes for his "outstanding contributions to television." The Monster series has been renewed for two more seasons, and Murphy is looking into exploring other terrible people from history. Let's hope he learns from the criticism of Dahmer. thoughts on the golden globe nominations?
Insane behavior to nominate Julia Garner for Inventing Anna while ignoring Toni Collette for The Staircase. Like. Objectively!!! Insane.
Imelda got nominated because they figured The Crown was better than it was this season... I'm gonna be real, Elizabeth Debicki was so good as Diana but was the material giving her something for a nom...? I don't know, man. I felt like Diana was barely onscreen much of the time, and didn't get a lot of *big moments*. Elizabeth didn't get the type of material Emma Corrin got, that's for sure.
None of the Drama series noms excite me... I do think Emma D'Arcy is very talented so I'm happy for them, but HOTD being nominated is a sign of the times.
Yay for Abbott Elementary and Hacks! Every nom they got was worthy. The Bear... is a comedy...? Okay.
I hate that Monster got nominated for Best Limited Series, such a fucking hackjob of a show.
AVATAR being nominated is... So ridiculously Globes. But who knows? Everyone is collectively gaslighting each other about those movies, so maybe we'll see it at the Oscars? EL OH EL!!!
Top Gun: Maverick being nominated is hilarious, and I say this as someone who actually did enjoy that movie for what it was. Like... stop the count.
I haven't seen Tar (yet), but I am getting increasingly annoyed at a movie that is apparently about Me Too but make it a ~predatory lesbian~ instead of Harvey Weinstein and "maybe cancel culture is bad" is... taking a lot of shine off better movies. Like. I know that everyone has a boner for Cate Blanchett despite her being a Woody Allen sympathizer, but? Maybe take a look at some of the commentary surrounding that movie? And its potential message? Yeah? Maybe consider why someone who stood by Woody would take that role, and the implications there?
Ana de Armas should not be getting noms for Blonde but okay.
Glass Onion's cast seems under-represented.
Yay for Michelle Yeoh, yay for Emma Thompson, yay for Ke Huy Quan, why is Jamie Lee Curtis being run for EEAAO and not Stephanie Hsu? Stephanie gave a POWERHOUSE performance in that movie.
The fact that The Fabelmans flopped getting a pass from awards outlets when it normally wouldn't get that pass... Just like West Side Story. Because Spielberg. Lmao.
Anyway, a lot of underwhelming noms. I honestly haven't felt jazzed about a lot of late stage awards contenders. For me, movies I saw earlier in the year (Everything Everywhere All At Once, most obviously) still reign. And same goes for performances. Insane!!! to me that we're talking about Cate Blanchett... again... for Tar, when Michelle Yeoh, Viola Davis, and even Emma Thompson gave the kind of performances that they gave earlier this year.
I feel like Best Actor for the Big Show could come down to Brendan and Austin, though it's still a bit early to tell. I have zero interest in seeing The Whale and I think there's a lot of valid critique surrounding it (and some that is less valid) but I'm not gonna lie, I love Brendan so I'd be happy to see him win after everything he's been through in the industry. Austin will almost definitely be nominated again at some point in his career, with the rate that he's going.

"Darren Criss won Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for his role as serial killer Andrew Cunanan in “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story,” making him the first Filipino-American to win a Golden Globe. He dedicated his award to his Filipino mother, showing how culturally significant these honors feel to underrepresented people."
Darren Criss Says “It’s A Great Privilege” To Be First First Filipino American To Win Golden Globe
“I always tell people being half Filipino is one of my favorite things about myself, because I had no control over that. I feel like I've given a superhero cape that I am now required to step up to the plate for and I'm glad to be the poster boy for, if there's any young either half Filipino or full or anybody you have in the Filipino Community that looks to my work as a source of inspiration and encouragement then like sign me up, I'm on board for that and it's a great privilege and it means the world to me and like I said I am very proud to be part of that" - 76th Golden Globe Awards Backstage Interview
Darren Criss dedicates Golden Globes win to 'firecracker Filipino' mom
“[...] this has been a marvelous year for representation in Hollywood, and I’m so enormously proud to be a teeny-tiny part of that, as the son of a firecracker Filipino woman from Cebu that dreamed of coming to this country and getting to be invited to cool parties like this. So mom I know you are watching this, you are hugely responsible for most of the good things in my life, I love you dearly, I dedicate this to you” - Acceptance Speech
DarrenCriss: Morning after Golden Globes celebration was full of Filipino treats including this fun spritely lady with me … “who dreamed of coming to this country and getting invited to glamorous parties like this…” Well Mom, I’m glad you made it.
#i wasn’t going to post/say anything#cause steven and ali’s wins are still great achievements for the aapi community#BUT#darren criss won this award for acs: versace in 2019#and made the same “first aa actor to win” headlines#he is asian-american#and the media erasing this is just absolutely disrespectful#the nerve of some people to invalidate both his accomplishments and ethnicity#he literally went up to the stage and dedicated his win to his FILIPINO MOTHER#and people talking about how “he doesn’t look asian” or “he is just half asian” or “he is not asian enough to count”#is utterly disgusting#disappointing and infuriating all at once#i've been mad about this all day#at least some are making "corrections”#but still haven't changed the headlines aghhhhh#sorry#not sorry#for the tag rant

'...Desires are highly treacherous, they are essential for the self-actualization of a human being, they drive every person to excel in the highest potential but sometimes the same desires turn a human into a Darkling, when he or she pursues them relentlessly without giving any thought to the moral means for fulfilling them. They make people devoid of any regret or remorse when they are seeking the unsatiable lust for dark ambitions. Desires can make anyone lost in the Labyrinth of riches, pleasures, and temptations, losing their humanity with each step towards the core of the darkness, now imagine if a man is already introduced to evil, provided with an opportunity to slip further down the slope, then the horrors we witness can never be unseen such is a story of Ripley, a con-man who has gone so far down into the abyss, chasing his darkest dreams. He is a liar by profession, an artist of identity theft, and a person who can brilliantly maintain his calm temperament in the most tense situations. He is highly charismatic, and even though we are witnessing his story full of murder & treachery, but we somehow feel an attraction toward his character, we are highly interested in how he will make a fool out of investigative authorities. The Series is highly Artistic, written & directed by visionary & Oscar-winning screenplay writer Steven Zaillian, words are not enough to describe the creativity of the Direction and the Cinematography, every frame in black & white is like a portrait into the mind of the creator, what a beautiful vision to create such an artistic slow burn, dark noir Psychological Thriller with so much details to each and every scene. The acting of Andrew Scott in the lead character of Ripley along with the supporting actors is highly immersive, this series is going to win many awards at Emmy as well as Golden Globes in the Limited series category. The series is an adaptation of 1955’s classic crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith. It has already been adopted in a highly celebrated 1999 Noir movie starring Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow & Cate Blanchett, it was also loosely adopted in the recent dark thriller movie Saltburn by Emerald Fennel starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi & Rosamund Pike, this adaptation has surpassed the previous ones, it is one of the best shows I watched in recent years.
The story starts in 1961 New York, Tom Ripley, a highly skilled con man is going through a rough phase, living in downright poverty, looking over his shoulder for any trouble, he was being chased by the lawmen. An opportunity was presented towards him, he is recruited by a wealthy person to find his Prodigal son Dickie who is living in Italy in leisure, Ripley is to convince him to return to New York so that he can start looking after the family business, in utter desperation Ripley accepts the job. However, when he sees the lavish lifestyle of Dickie & his girlfriend Marge in Europe, his dark desires lead him on a path up to a point of no return, full of deception, theft & murder, the story is so shocking, it brings out the deepest scary chills. Dickie is running from his family heirloom, seeking the life of an Artist in serene Atrani city, Italy. He is a simple-minded person who is easy to manipulate, Ripley finds it very easy to play his deceptive tricks on Dickie. Marge on the other hand is a smart woman, she is an aspiring writer, trying to complete her book, a travelogue about Atrani. Ripley manipulated Dickie to allow him to live in his house, and thus Ripley started to weave his stronghold around him, creating confusion using deception at every step. Marge became suspicious of Ripley’s motive and asks Dickie to get rid of Ripley but what happens next what beyond anything one can imagine, beating all odds Ripley successfully deceived everyone into believing in a very thin false narrative with meticulous planning and trickery, he keeps telling everyone he is a good person and one by one everyone fell into his bottomless pit of deception.
Now let’s unravel more about the pros & cons of the Series Ripley
The strongest positive aspect of the series is the Screenplay. Slow burn screenplay written by Steven Zaillian feels like a sting, in the initial episodes we are completely blown away by the enigmatic character of Ripley, and his treacherous predatory nature, and later on, once the story hits the midpoints it starts unraveling like a deeply thrilling noir, we became trapped into the captivating story, now we can’t escape until we know the ending, will Ripley be able to evade capture or he will be punished for his heinous crimes. Steven Zaillian won his Oscar for Schindler’s List & his other prominent works are films like Gangs of New York & Irishman, & his creative screenplay in Ripley is one of his epitomai works as a screenplay writer.
Next comes the acting. Andrew Scotts’ act as Ripley was truly immersive, we can’t peek into Ripley’s mind about his plans & tricks, his face & eyes are always calm, capable of deceiving anyone. He always wears a veil, no one is capable of seeing his dark soul. We can truly know him when he is alone, meticulously weaving a cobweb of lies and deception. Ripley is mesmerizing when he has to instantaneously adapt to a difficult situation, he is highly spontaneous & Andrew pulled off that particularity amazingly. Andrew is a wonderful actor, he was awesome as James Moriarity in the Sherlock series and recently I watched his soul-touching performance in queer romantic movie All of Us Strangers.
Further, the supporting cast is wonderful too. Johnny Flynn in the character of Richard ‘Dickie’ Greenleaf was suitable as the Elite, he is kindhearted, trying to figure out his life as a painter, he is careless enough to let the wolf enter his doors, he didn’t have any clue what is going to happen to him. Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood is beautiful and graceful, she is smart, and has doubts about Ripley from the start but even with her sixth sense, she is not able to perceive what Ripley is capable of. The impressive character of Inspector Ravini was played by Italian actor Sergio Rubini, he has a powerful screen presence as a smart & intelligent detective, but Ripley was one step ahead of him always.
Now comes the direction, Steven Zaillian’s creative direction blew me away, what an impressive display of the details of every scene, moving slowly to let us feel more & more, we can feel our consciousness translocated into 1960s Italy. His directorial style in monochromatic black & white was really transcendental. With retro-style costumes, vintage model Fiat cars, locations, & proper Italian accents, I was not watching this show, I was really living it.
Finally, the cinematography needs special mention, it was one of the best camera works we can witness on Television, we were made to travel through the artistic & serene posh as well as countryside Italy, not in the present times but in the early ’60s. Every scene, every silhouette, every painting, every mural & every sculpture was meticulously depicted to take us into the past through the time machine of Artistic Cinema.
Talking about the cons, the series runs very slow, especially in the starting episodes, it is a very intense type of slow-burn thriller, made for artistic enrichment rather than mass-level relish, still, I am sure the captivating story with the enigmatic character of Ripley in the crime-noir setting of a cat & mouse chase finale is worth celebrating by every true lover of Cinema.'

Evan Peters Slammed by Mother of Jeffrey Dahmer Victim Over Golden Globes Speech
January 12, 2023 6:17 PM PST
In September, Netflix released Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which starred Evan Peters as one of the United States’ most notorious real-life serial killers.
via: Complex
The mother of Jeffrey Dahmer victim Tony Hughes has criticized Evan Peters following his Golden Globe win for his portrayal of the serial killer.
In comments provided to TMZ, Hughes’ mother Shirley said that she hoped Peters would have mentioned the families impacted by Dahmer’s crimes during his acceptance speech at the show earlier this week. She also said that she hopes Hollywood will stop making shows and movies about real-life serial killers, which undoubtedly has an impact on the families of victims.
Peters walked home with the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film for playing Dahmer in the Ryan Murphy-produced Netflix series, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
In his speech, Peters thanked Netflix and Murphy, the cast and crew, and viewers for watching the show despite its “difficult” subject matter. “I sincerely hope some good came out of it,” said Peters, who previously said he went “back and forth” on whether to take on the “incredibly dark” role. Shirley, however, believes that nothing good has come from the show and it has only contributed further grief to families still reeling from loved ones lost to Dahmer, who killed seventeen men and young boys between 1978 and 1991.
“There’s a lot of sick people around the world, and people winning acting roles from playing killers keeps the obsession going and this makes sick people thrive on the fame,” said Shirley, who questioned why Peters took on the role. “It’s a shame that people can take our tragedy and make money. The victims never saw a cent. We go through these emotions every day.”
Aside from Peters’ win at the Golden Globes, the show also picked up nominations for Best Supporting Actress for Niecy Nash, Best Supporting Actor for Richard Jenkins, and Best Limited or Anthology Series or Television Film. The Netflix series has garnered plenty of acclaim, and became the streaming platform’s second most-watched series ever in October of last year.

No more documentaries about serial killers especially if we’re glorifying them and making them like we should be attracted to them. especially regarding Jeffery Dahmer who got what he deserved getting beaten to death by a fellow inmate in prison, and a black inmate to be exact.
The irony of a serial killer who killed black and brown men getting beaten to death by a black man. Karma is spelled hahahaha

wiip PARTNERS WITH EMMY AND GRAMMY-WINNER
TODD MCFARLANE TO DEVELOP
SPAWN CHARACTERS "SAM AND TWITCH" AS A PREMIUM TELEVISION DRAMA SERIES
Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg will Adapt Based on Characters first Featured in McFarlane's Superhero/Supernatural comic book "SPAWN"
Tempe, Ariz., June 10, 2021- wiip, the independent studio behind HBO's hit "Mare of Easttown," has partnered with Emmy-winning SPAWN creator and director/producer Todd McFarlane to develop "Sam and Twitch" as a premium television drama series. The project will be based on two of the most prominent characters in the SPAWN comic franchise, which recently broke the Guinness World Record for the longest-running creator-owned comic and has sold hundreds of millions of copies in more than 120 countries worldwide. This announcement follows the news that McFarlane's newest comic project, "SPAWN'S UNIVERSE #1," is officially the biggest new title launch from IMAGE COMICS' in the 21st century.
"Sam and Twitch" will focus on SPAWN's two most popular human characters, detectives Sam Burke and "Twitch" Williams.
Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg will adapt the project and serve as executive producers. Smilovic & Katzberg are the creators and showrunners behind the drama series "Condor," an adaptation of the 1975 feature "Three Days of the Condor," which airs its second season on Epix in the fall. McFarlane and Sean Canino for McFarlane Films also executive produce with wiip's Paul Lee and Mark Roybal.
wiip's Lee and Roybal are executive producers of the hit HBO limited series "Mare of Easttown." The finale, which recently aired two weeks ago, set the record as the most-watched episode of an Original Series on HBO Max.
"My two detective characters Sam Burke and "Twitch" Williams appeared in the very first issue of SPAWN #1 back in 1992. Since then, they've become fan favorites and have branched out into their own comic series throughout the years," said McFarlane, SPAWN Creator. "Their stories, blending traditional crime noir and the supernatural, is a combination that I've always thought would make for an entertaining television drama. The addition of wiip and the creative writing skills of Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg make for a very compelling team that we all hope leads to the entertaining show we know this can be. If you like cool, moody, creepy, odd crime stories, this will be your cup of tea!"
In addition to creating SPAWN, McFarlane is also the co-founder and President of Image Comics, the third-largest comics publisher.
McFarlane is also best known for his work as the artist on "The Amazing Spider-Man." He co-created the character "Venom," which the feature film of the same name has accumulated a worldwide box office total of more than $850 million to date.
The industry and fans have recognized McFarlane's award-winning projects in entertainment, comics, publishing, and toys with 2 Grammy nominations, 1 Grammy win, 2 Emmy Awards, 2 MTV Video Music Awards, 1 Canadian MuchMusic Award, the 2021 Toy of the Year (TOTY) Award, a People's Choice Award, and more than 150 International awards.
In addition to showrunning "Condor," Smilovic & Katzberg are attached to pen a feature adaptation of Isabella Maldonado's novel, The Cipher, starring Jennifer Lopez for Netflix. Most recently, Smilovic & Katzberg adapted Robert Littell's Cold War Era Novel The Sisters for Pioneer Pictures and Thunder Road with Smilovic set to direct. Previous feature credits for Smilovic include "Lucky Number Slevin" and the Todd Phillips summer feature "War Dogs," which earned Jonah Hill a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Actor – Comedy/Musical category.
Smilovic & Katzberg are repped by CAA, Lit Entertainment Group, and attorney Amy Nickin for Smilovic and Bruce Gellman for Katzberg. Todd McFarlane and McFarlane Films are repped by CAA.

Despite its grasp on the entertainment industry, Netflix has never won a series trophy at the Emmy Awards — not drama, not comedy, not limited. However, that is likely to change this year as “The Crown” tops Gold Derby’s early Emmy predictions for Best Drama Series. The regal program is coming off big wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards and is the favorite to win at next month’s SAG Awards, too. Is Netflix about to make Emmy history?
Season 4 of “The Crown” was arguably its best yet, as the show shifted focus from the main trifecta of Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman), Prince Philip (Tobias Menzies) and Princess Margaret (Helena Bonham Carter) in favor of juicy storylines involving Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), Princess Diana (Emma Corrin) and Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson). Indeed, that latter trio took home trophies at the Globes and Critics Choice in lead actor, lead actress and supporting actress, respectively.
Looking ahead to the Emmys, our odds are predicting that “The Crown” will face off against “The Mandalorian,” “Bridgerton,” “Lovecraft Country,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Pose,” “This Is Us” and “The Boys.” Of this septet, only “Handmaid’s” has won Best Drama Series before; it prevailed for its first season in 2017 against, among others, Season 1 of “The Crown.”
“The Crown” contended for Best Drama Series for seasons 2 and 3 as well losing to “Game of Thrones” in 2018 for the former and to “Succession” last year for the latter. “Succession” won’t be returning in time to be eligible at this year’s Emmys.
For Best Drama Actress, Corrin and Colman take up the top two slots. Their rival nominees are predicted to be Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Jurnee Smollett (“Lovecraft Country”), Uzo Aduba (“In Treatment”) and Phoebe Dynevor (“Bridgerton”). Last year’s winner Zendaya (“Euphoria”) is not eligible to repeat in this category, though she does contend in the TV movie/limited series actress race for the “Euphoria” special.
In the corresponding Best Drama Actor race, O’Connor leads the pack ahead of Matthew Rhys (“Perry Mason”), Rege-Jean Page (“Bridgerton”), Billy Porter (“Pose”), Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”) and Jonathan Majors (“Lovecraft Country”). Reigning champ Jeremy Strong (“Succession”) is likewise out of the running.
Similar to the lead actress race, a pair of “Crown” co-stars take up the two top spots for Best Drama Supporting Actress: Anderson and Carter, with their closest competition being Wunmi Mosaku (“Lovecraft Country”). And Menzies appears in our top three for Best Drama Supporting Actor, behind only Michael Kenneth Williams (“Lovecraft Country”) and Bradley Whitford (“The Handmaid’s Tale”).

📺 TELEVISION SHOW AND HISTORY A television show (often simply TV show) is any content produced for broadcast via over-the-air, satellite, cable, or internet and typically viewed on a television set, excluding breaking news, advertisements, or trailers that are typically placed TNTween shows. Television shows are most often scheduled well ahead of time and appear on electronic guides or other TV listings. A television show might also be called a television program (British English: programme), especially if it lacks a narrative structure. A television series is usually released in episodes that follow a narrative, and are usually divided into seasons (US and Canada) or series (UK) — yearly or semiannual sets of new episodes. A show with a limited number of episodes may be called a miniseries, serial, or limited series. A one-time show may be called a “special”. A television film (“made-for-TV movie” or “television movie”) is a film that is initially broadcast on television rather than released in theaters or direct-to-video. Television shows can be viewed as they are broadcast in real time (live), be recorded on home video or a digital video recorder for later viewing, or be viewed on demand via a set-top box or streamed over the internet.
📺 FORMATS AND GENRES Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows. A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 1980s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little. If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order. Since the 1980s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure, while the later series Babylon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run. In 2012, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film. Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2012, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television.

MRS. LUCILLE CRAWFORD?
June 19, 1936
In 1936 Lucille Ball was engaged to be married to actor Broderick Crawford.
Broderick Crawford and Lucille Ball were both the same age (and died just a few years apart) and took similar roads to success.
William Broderick Crawford (1911 – 1986) was a stage, film, radio, and television actor, often cast in tough-guy roles. Until filming his Oscar and Golden Globe Award-winning performance in All the King's Men (1949), Crawford's career had been largely limited to "B films" in supporting or character roles. He realized he did not fit the role of a handsome leading man. Like Ball, he was seen on a hit television series “Highway Patrol"(1955–59).
The article compares blonde Lucille to Lilyan Tashman, and there are also numerous similarities in their career paths.
Lilyan Tashman (1896 – 1934) was a vaudeville, Broadway, and film actress best known for her supporting roles as tongue-in-cheek villainesses and the vindictive "other woman." She made 66 films over the course of her Hollywood career and although she never obtained superstar status, her cinematic performances are described as "sharp, clever and have aged little over the decades." Tall, blonde, and slender with fox-like features and a throaty voice, Tashman freelanced as a fashion and artist's model in New York City. By 1914, she was an experienced vaudevillian, appearing in Ziegfeld Follies between 1916 and 1918. In 1921 Tashman made her film debut and over the next decade and a half she appeared in numerous silent films. She easily navigated the transition to sound film.
The article mentions that of the three Broadway show offers made to Lucille Ball, it looked likely she would do a show for Brock Pemberton.
Brock Pemberton (1885 – 1950) was a theatrical producer, director and founder of the Tony Awards. He was the professional partner of Antoinette Perry, co-founder of the American Theatre Wing, and he was also a member of the Algonquin Round Table. However, Pemberton did not produce a play on Broadway in 1936. His next project wasn’t until March 1937.
Broderick Crawford had spent much of 1935 in New York in two plays on Broadway, and returned in 1937 for Of Mice and Men. In 1940, he married Kay Griffith, his first of three wives.
Interestingly, if Ball had married Crawford, she would have (legally) been Lucille Crawford. Broderick was no relation to Joan Crawford, whose birth name was Lucille!
Crawford and Ball never acted together, but in August 1971 they were both guests on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.”
Needless to say, Ball did not marry Crawford or go to Broadway to do a play. She stayed in Hollywood and met Alexander Hall. They got engaged to be married in 1938, but that’s another story!
