Here's the scenario: Let's justr say that you are a guy doing your job really well despite pressure from rival companies. Now u have a coworker who is decidedly Not performing. and your company has a history of being ruthless & firing people who do not perform. Now you have a best friend who used to have ur current coworker's job. He left a few years ago & has been around to some other companies but now he's back!! He's currently at a "lower" team in the company but has been performing well, even outperforming your current coworker who has objectively better facilities Now you're told that your current coworker is going to be replaced (most likely by your best friend) after the summer break and you're both so excited!! You even post a video of you both being smiley and happy and flying off into the sunset together Then a couple of days later you're told that your coworker is actually STAYING despite his consistently awful performances, leaving you to, once again, do most of the work & the worst part is ur bestie (husband let's be real) won't be ur teammate again :(
