If you don't believe that guys remember every compliment they've ever gotten... The few days ago I was singing at work and a customer in the air check lane complimented my voice. In middle school someone said I smelled great after I had switched deodorants and I continued wearing that deodorant until they stopped making it. In highschool someone complimented the sweater I was wearing and I took better care of that sweater than I do of myself until eventually it got too ripped up to continue wearing. It sounds bias when I say go to Discount Tire instead of Mavis, but listen to this. Today we got a customer in, sweet older lady, driving a decommissioned police Crown Vic. She had gotten her tires at Mavis and they did a flat repair on one of them. Her TPMS light was blinking, meaning one or more sensors weren't being detected. She's in for a flat repair on the same tire Mavis had done one on. We quickly realize it's the valve, not the tire. Take tire off to put in a new valve and there's no sensor. There's a band for a band sensor, but no sensor on that either. Mavis told her she'd have to take the car to the dealership to fix it. We told her what we found and had discovered why the light was blinking. Got her a new sensor put in. Taken care of. So Mavis took the tire off and did a flat repair and didn't put a sensor in the tire. They KNEW there was no sensor in that tire, but decided to just tell her to go to Ford to get the blinking light on the dash fixed. They were that lazy they couldn't take 1 minute to put a sensor in. Ridiculous. On an additional note, I rebalanced the assembly for her, even though I didn't need to, because I wanted to see if Mavis did it and if they did it right. No. Thing was wayyyyy off balance. Moral of the story: doesn't matter where you go. Unless it's an emergency, do your research, read reviews, search around for different prices. Choose the best place for your needs. A car is a big investment, and it's a huge disservice to yourself taking it someplace that does what Mavis just did to this woman. https://ift.tt/2Ue7LpW
