Washington sibs hcs n thoughts n stuff

They're actually triplets, Josh being born on the 31st of January and Han and Beth being on the 5th of February.

They were all born in 1995.

They're all fraternal.

Josh and Han are both trans.

Hannah and Beth are both 5'8 (as it says on their missing posters) and Josh is 5'7 (based of the actor's height).

Both Hannah and Beth are shown to be decently sporty, and both joined school clubs for tennis and football n stuff. Josh is also decently active but didn't care to actually join any teams or anything.

Beth is the youngest but she often was the one who looked out for the other two in school. Moreso Hannah than Josh.

Hannah met Sam in 3rd grade not too long after Josh met Chris, and Beth met Jess and Em in 5th.

Hannah met Sam in her gym class when they were put in the same team for dodgeball.

Beth met Jess and Em because she sat close to them and Jess talks to everyone.

Beth likes hockey as well.

Beth plays lots of instruments, mostly guitar though.

In 1st to 3rd grade, before they really made close friends, the three of them just kind of stuck with eachother as much as possible, though Beth was really quite popular because she was the most outgoing.

Hannah always liked collecting stuff like feathers, rocks and bones. Josh and her would often go out looking around for those types of things, especially up on Blackwood.

Around the time of the prologue, Hannah is quite lean in figure, tall and strong. Beth is tall but slumps a lot more and is a bit stockier, but also strong. Josh is pretty similar to Beth.

Hannah loves bugs, Beth is neutral to them and Josh hates them.

Hannah has a pet spider (Josh hates it).

Up at the lodge they enjoy doing general maintenance work like chopping firewood.

They can all shoot (Bob taught them all at the firing range) but only Josh actually found any sort of enjoyment from it.

Beth's full name is Bethany (I was torn between that and Elizabeth for ages but then I leaned Bethany means 'house of suffering' and I think that fits with the game better, so).

As kids they were all scared of the lodge at night because it is haunted asf.

Josh once saw one of the monsters when he was a small child and he still vaguely remembers it but puts it up to childhood imagination.

Beth had lots of weird experiences in the lodge (hearing the whispers n stuff) that she never told anyone because she didn't want to freak her siblings out.

Beth has gotten into trouble for fighting at school because of people being mean to Hannah, very quickly everyone learned not to be mean to her.

Hannah was actually quite well liked in her sports teams and stuff.

Josh and Chris met Ashley in 6th grade when she moved to California.

Her and Sam brought Matt into the friend group in highschool (9th grade, I think that is).

Beth, Jess and Em brought Mike into the group in 10th grade, again they met him because Jess is friendly and chatty with most people.

They have a few cousins that would visit in the summer, or vice versa. They're a little younger but they get on fine.

They all learn to drive but Josh is usually the one designated to do so.

They have gone on roadtrips with just the 3 of them, usually to the middle of nowhere and Josh will try to creep them out when they're visiting forests and stuff.

They have definitely explored old abandoned buildings together.

Josh always packs extra stuff (clothes, food etc) because Hannah and Beth are both likely to forget something.

Both Hannah and Josh are very artsy people, and they can draw really well. Beth isn't as interested in that.

On a lighter note my head cannon is that Hannah shipped climbingclass before she even knew what shipping was….bless her little nerd heart she was determined to get them together. Beth shipped it as well and both were constantly frustrated by Joshs attempts to get Chris a girlfriend. Like NO Josh that blond nerd is going to be a Washington and your husband. Like if the prank hadn’t happened she or beth were gonna lock them in a closet or take them to Vegas and get them REALLY drunk and get them married

based on what little we know about hannah, i think it's fair to make her a softie/romantic. i'm totally into making her, like, very invested in her sibs' happiness and that includes being a huge cheerleader in their romantic lives. also love the idea of josh being like "nobody can know i have these feelings. or feelings at all" but hannah clocks his gay ass SO fast. she's immediately like "you like chris don't you josh" <- said like "you like krabby patties don't you squidward." evil little smile and everything.

we all just making shit up abt beth and i for one love to make her zesty and kinda hard-edged. not actually mean, but like, if chris had to rank the washingtons from most to least frightening, beth would be at the top of the list. maybe he'll stop being lowkey scared of her when he's like. forty.

re: vegas, i would love a humor fic where josh + chris are absolutely shitfaced in vegas and get married bc they think its really funny, and the next day all their friends are like do we seriously have to explain to you that getting married "as a bit" doesn't make it less legally binding. you fucking idiots. even funnier to me if they are, in fact, in a relationship. and they don't bother to divorce bc that's too much work but they keep having to explain to everyone they meet that yes the relationship is real but the marriage is a joke. no one gets it.

Chris (Hartley, that was, thank God), raised his own hands then, shaking them and his head as if he couldn't decide which would piss her off less. "Hey, whoa, slow your roll, I wasn't judging your act of wanton violence! Just a quick thought but.

Considdering the WG created the Shichibukai System with the idea of having them be "pirates who crush other pirates"...

Okay so we unfortunately don't know when Moria joined the Shichibukai, if that was pre-Kaidou Clash or post-Kaidou Clash, info which would be very useful here but 🤷‍♂️. However we do know that Crocodile joined the Shichibukai before his clash with Whitebeard-- which is interesting, because Crocodile proceeded to get his ass kicked, but still retained his position. Keep in mind, the only reason the Government didn't get rid of Moria the second he lost to Luffy (a menace but still a rookie) was because they knew they needed every man they had available for the incoming war with Whitebeard. Had it not been for that they would've replaced Moria immidiately, and hey, they then did proceed to do that right after the war was over. So the fact they not only kept Crocodile despite getting his ass kicked, but kept him around for like 20~ish years is a bit wild

And that just makes me wonder... Is it possible the World Government could've ordered some of their newly recruited Shichibukai back in the day to go and try to take down the Yonkou on the WG's behalf?

Again, if we knew more about Moria here this would actually be easier to speculate about but since we don't know about his timeline, there's no way to fully tell for sure (btw yes his Wiki page claims he became a Shichibukai after fighting Kaidou, but since that was "revealed" in a trivia book, I would take it with a massive grain of salt)

But if the Yonkou Dethroning Attempts were orders from the WG, it'd actually explain the general attitude amongst the Shichibukai to not actually follow orders from the Government, since there'd be two whole survivors to tell the tale why you don't follow the Government's orders. (Which would also reframe why the Government Really Wanted Kuma to follow every single order given to him) It'd also reframe Crocodile's anger at the Government a little (since I'm sure the WG didn't give a shit about what had actually happened to him), as well as Moria's fury when Kuma showed up at Thriller Bark and Moria learned that the WG was assuming he was going to lose to the Strawhats, requiring back-up

It would also explain why Crocodile got to keep his position despite his defeat, because while Crocodile might've failed, they could still see him as useful as he had survived a clash against The Most Powerful Man In The World (same for Moria if he did go fight Kaidou under the Government's orders)

And man... Like the Shichibukai were framed as "Government bootlicking losers who had abandoned their pirating spirit" when they were first introduced, but as time has gone we have seen that some people took the position for protection. Hancock for to protect her people, Jinbei for the Sun Pirates to get pardoned... And with Kuma, it's just blackmail. It really would be sad if Crocodile (and maybe Moria too) got essentially groomed into the position as young pirates, given all these promises of things they'd be allowed to do/given if they follow orders, only to realize the Government sees them as nothing more than tools

Moe manages to find a way to get in an overly handsy way too intimate WAY too soon I just got my ass ghosted or perhaps dumped situationship with Alfonse. Teenage Garashir is really something special. You know Julian was a crazy son of a bitch as a teen and Garak was a sarcastic stuffy little shit with his nose glued in a book. Julian obsessing over tennis and racquetball with a perpetual middle finger pointed towards his parents and Garak weeping over Cardassian Stephanie Meyer alone in his tiny bedroom while Tain throws knives at his door and Mila shouts at him to do the dishes. Julian's drooling over five different people at once and Garak's thinking hauntedly about that cute guy he had to kill last week while he mows the lawn. They both crave death, but sparks fly the second they lay eyes on each other. Garak's trying to figure out the logistics of balancing a secret agent career and an alien husband while Julian's just daydreaming about stuffing his face in his chest and suffocating. It's a shitshow and it's magnificent.

Okay, I thought about it, and i was wondering just WHY Icebound initially seemed so intriguing to me and why—despite its general tone—I adore it so much. And I can’t believe it took me this long to realize it, but it reminds me of the horror game Until Dawn (which, hands down, is one of my favorite horror games, for a variety of reasons), and no, it’s not just because of the wendigo thing (tho there’s that too).

Honestly, the whole setting of the campaign (especially starting episode 7) reminded me, at least vaguely, of Until Dawn. As well as the wendigo thing and the whole connection to native folklore in general.

Obviously I know that Until Dawn and Icebound are not one in the same, and obviously have very clear differences between the two, but that’s the thing my brain can compare Icebound (or these first few episodes at least) to.
