you know what i think would be funny?
if, in the bad timeline, robin was basically the tuxedo mask to chrom's sailor moon, but like, actively helpful but by accident. granted, i know nothing about sailor moon beyond that one meme, but she just shows up when the shepherds are in trouble.
the kicker is that she does not want to be there at all.
robin: "oh no, oh no no no, there are plegian soldiers nearby and they've started chasing me. i need to hide, and fast!"
chrom: "robin?? hey, robin! robin!" *waves arms so that everyone and their grandma realize where she is*
robin: "oh god, not you."
none of the shepherds realize that she's related to validar. they just think she's a rebel or something and accept her with open arms. but she keeps her distance because she knows she's grima's heart and chrom especially is in grave danger just being with her
she's never successful because someone is always like, "hey why don't you stay with us for the night" and then the entire group is crowding her like "stay with us!"
and chrom has to rescue her every time so at some point, he just asks her to take a walk with him so they can be faraway when she leaves and doesn't get crowded
but when she starts to leave, she feels bad about not saying bye to everyone.
it's basically the moment where she actively acknowledges that she cares for them and the moment chrom realizes he fell in love.

Once again watching Elizabeth McGovern interviews and enjoying them not for the fan factor per se but because she's intelligent and funny and passionate about her projects and it feels like a conversation with an interesting interlocutor, maybe a friend of a friend, at a mutual acquaintance's house party

Can you connect the German city of Kiel to Diehard please? Thanks
Well the lazy way of doing this is the villain in Die Hard is Hans Gruber who was German and Kiel is in Germany. I could also be like: Oh Bruce Willis was born in Germany and yeah. But I love making things more convoluted than that...
So, we all know that Bruce Willis is in Die Hard, but an even more important role was his role as Tony Amato in one singular episode of Miami Vice, which we all know stars Don Johnson in it, who we all know was in Rian Johnson's movie Knives Out, which we all know. Ok I'll stop, even if this is just for you. You know actually I really wanted to connect this to Knives Out and then to 10 Things I Hate About You or 3rd Rock from the Sun because of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but I have changed my mind, as it turns out Edward James Olmos is in the same Miami Vice episode as Don Johnson. Okay, so Edward James Olmos is Admiral Adama in Battlestar Galactica, which also stars Michael Hogan, from your favorite TV show ever, Teen Wolf. BUT, he is also in Skyrim as General Tullius. Skyrim also has Christopher Plummer as Arngeir, who was also in Knives Out. But that's not as fun as connecting to Charles Martinet, who was in the Mario movie despite not playing Mario but whatever. Now, as much as I love Charlie Day and want to connect through him, I feel the need to connect through Crisp Rat, but I'm resisting that cause I had a revelation. Charlie Day is in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, starring Danny DeVito, but Kim Whalen was in an episode of that show, and I love Starkid. Corey Dorris is also in Starkid and he was in an episode of Future Man, which has our icon, Josh Hutcherson, who was in Journey to the Centre of the Earth with Brendan Frasier, who was in the Mummy with Rachel Weisz, and she is married to Daniel Craig, bringing us BACK to Knives Out. Am I losing track of the mission?? NO!!!! So, Knives Out has many amazing cast members, but one of the more iconic ones, is Frank Oz. I just realized that my goal was to eventually bring my connection to the Lion King, and I can easily do that now cause Frank Oz is Yoda, but also that's lame cause I wanted to bring it to Matthew Broderick, but let it be known that we could just do Frank Oz to James Earl Jones at this point. So, Frank Oz was in Star Wars with Mark Hamill, who is in many, many things, such as Avatar, which features Dee Bradley Baker as Appa. He is also Perry the Platypus in Phineas and Ferb (for some reason my brain broke and almost wrote Despicable Me). Phineas and Ferb features Thomas Brodie-Sangster, which is always very funny to me, but it also has Ashley Tisdale, who was in the wonderful movie, 2009's Aliens in the Attic. Aliens in the Attic features many people, including Austin Butler, someone who was in the After movies, Tim Meadows, and Andy Richter, who played Mort in Madagascar. Ben Stiller is in Madagascar, who was in Night as the Museum, which has Rami Malek, who was in Bohemian Rhapsody with Joe Mazzello, who is in Jurassic Park (AND a movie called Star Kid). Jeff Goldblum is in Jurassic Park and also in Thor: Ragnarok, which also has Sam Neill in it, but unrelated to the goal at hand. Thor has Chris Hemsworth, who was in 2009's Star Trek, starring Chris Pine, who was in Wonder Woman with Robin Wright, who is in the Princess Bride with Cary Elwes, who was in Psych. Since they are not in the same episode, James Roday Rodriguez is in Psych, and so is Ally Sheedy, who was in War Games with Matthew Broderick.
To answer your question, yes, I came to the official conclusion that I really needed to get on track or this would literally last forever. Crazy how I can get myself to do this and not my homework. Ignore the fact that it took me over a month to respond to your question. Matthew Broderick is Simba in the Lion King, which also features Nathan Lane as Timon. Nathan Lane was in The Nutcracker: The Untold Story, which I know about solely because of Danny Gonzalez. Nathan Lane plays Albert Einstein in this movie, and so, within the lore of the movie, we could accurately state that because Albert Einstein exists within the movie, so does Max Planck, who knew Lise Meitner. I just wanted to say that cause I am aware as to how much you love her. But Max Planck was born in Kiel. Thank you and goodnight.
If I wanted to play this seriously, and not in my convoluted "6" Degrees of Michael Sheen way, probably could've connected Die Hard to Charlie Chaplin somehow, who met Albert Einstein but NO!!
I hope you enjoy this well thought out response, @wiggogwiggogywrath :)
P.S. That point where I was nervous about this going on forever took A LOT of willpower to not continue. Like I was gonna go into the After series and then end up in Harry Potter or some shit. I'm sure I would eventually run into both Smosh and Dropout cause I am addicted. Luckily for you, I was so concentrated at the task at hand, I somehow like forgot that I usually include those too but whatever. There ya go. Bitch.
P.P.S. I just wanted to do this cause now I can't stop please send help oh god oh no I can't stop, can't stop typing why did you do this to me I can't escape
P.P.P.S. Bye :)

what do u think about zeglar and how she talks about the snow white movie? what are ur thoughts on the situation?
Is this about the Rachel Zegler thing? Cuz I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what that was about at all. All I saw was that she maybe said that her version of Snow White might be more proactive than in the original? Or something similar to that? And that doesn't seem like a bad thing to say, to me, it's not that revolutionary to point out that some of the early Princess movies had somewhat more passive protagonists than people my age are used to having from Disney (seeing as we grew up with Disney Renaissance of the 80s and 90s, which focused heavily more on active protagonists than the classics did).
It doesn't seem like she was passing an indictment on the original movie, moreso just saying that they were attempting to make this new one resonate with the audience of the 2020s rather than the 1930s, especially considering this is a retread of a story they've already seen before and are familiar with, whereas the original 1937 Snow White was entirely new territory (it's literally the first Disney animated movie, it Is the prototype for everything that's come about since then). It doesn't seem like she said that people shouldn't enjoy the original, or that it was bad to like a more passive protagonist (honestly mood, one of my favorite Disney princesses is Aurora and she does not do a lot in her original movie). Nor do I think her saying her version is updated for the times is out of bounds, these dumb fucking remakes need to justify themselves somehow and seeing as Snow White likely won't be as CGI heavy as The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast or The Jungle Book or the terrible awful horrible disgusting nasty trash ass The Lion King (can you tell I don't like the TLK remake?), trying to make it more "updated" means that the studio can pretend that this is about creativity and not cash grabs and monetizing childhood nostalgia.
What I know I don't like is that apparently a young actress, who by and large seems to be nice and not have a problematic online presence and is just doing her own thing, said something Some People didn't like and got an internet blood mob after her for no reason. Like, you dumb assholes need to get a hobby, so she said that her Snow White is more "active" apparently, so fucking what? Did she hold up a banner saying death to women who want to be rescued by men? Did she demand that everyone burn their copies of the original movie? Did she break into your home and personally destroy every piece of Snow White merchandise you clearly have since this movie from the 1930s is so fucking important to you? Oh wait no? She didn't? She just voiced her opinion on a movie that's still in the process of being made and attempted to explain why it was worth existing at all because nobody is going to be honest about the fact that these movies are easy money and that's it? Because that's exactly what it is, and then it's people being whiny babies because of this idea that's becoming increasingly more prevalent in a LOT of circles that if you like something, everyone should like it too, and if you don't like something, no one should like it. It's the death of subjectivity and the inability of a good chunk of people on the Internet to grow the fuck up and touch some godforsaken grass, it's a bizarre resistance to just dislike something and move the fuck on like a normal person.
And it's misogyny for me, honestly. If a woman says something that you don't agree with and you blow your fucking lid and think she should be dragged through the streets, you really gotta examine why. Were any of you complaining about the fact that the Beast or Aladdin might have gotten more of a different arc in their remakes than in the originals that might be considered more compatible with a 21rst century audience, or is it just that a young woman said it that pisses you off so much? It's ridiculous, and it's embarrassing.
So yeah, those are my sorta thoughts on it, as someone pretty far removed from the situation who hasn't really given it much thought.

Just realized the horrors of playing six degrees of separation with Scott Smajor!!
Scott(0) -> Joey Graceffa (1) -> Miranda Sings (2) -> Flula Borg (3) -> Margot Robbie (4) -> Rose Byrn (5) -> Kevin Bacon (6)
Scott (0) -> Shelby Grace (1) -> Felicia Day (2) -> Jensen Ackles (3) -> Karl Urban (4) -> Kate Blanchett (5) -> Harrison Ford (6)
Scott (0) -> HBomb (1) -> Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (2) -> I refuse to go farther than this, it would hurt my brain
Scott (0) -> Jacksepticeye (1) -> Markiplier (2) -> Lilly Singh (3) -> Thomas Sanders (4) -> Leslie Odom Jr. (5) -> Janelle Monáe (6)
Man’s has some weird connections, I just kinda got bored. I’m positive there are stranger connections, but its almost midnight and i dont have that brain power. This is also partially why i just went with Hollywood stuff, also the non Hollywood connections all have YouTube video connections/clips.
I’m sure YouTube connections get wild, but F that rn.

Jason McBride, from Eat Your Mind: The Radical Life and Work of Kathy Acker (Simon & Schuster, 2022)
It also helped that most of her students were big fans of hers when they arrived, and even bigger fans by the time they left. Her classes, usually three hours long and between fifteen and twenty students, were always oversubscribed. After her first year there, students were required to submit three writing samples to be considered for admission. She understandably gravitated toward students whose writing felt fresh and unusual, who had an interest in postmodernism or experimentation, as well as those who’d had tough lives, who seemed damaged. “Half of them come out of serious child abuse, sexual and other,” she told a friend. She doted on the students with tattooed skulls, the trans men, the ones who’d worked in porn. But you didn’t even have to be enrolled at SFAI necessarily; if she found you compelling enough, you could be a high-school dropout and still take her classes. Over the years, several of her students would go on to successful writing and art careers: Lynn Breedlove, Anna Joy Springer, Alicia McCarthy, Geoffrey Farmer, Xylor Jane, Erin Courtney.
The class was, for all intents and purposes, a writing workshop, but with an unmistakable Ackerian flavor. “Only one thing’s forbidden here,” she would announce at the start of the term. “You’re not allowed to bore me. Never bore me. Just be honest. Dishonesty is boring. Honesty is always interesting.” The first writing exercise she’d give students was to write a sex scene involving them and a family member. Then she’d have them pass their assignment to the person sitting next to them, who would then read it out loud. “Write from your father’s point of view,” went another assignment, “but in the voice of a schizophrenic.” She would tell her students to try, as she did, to write while masturbating. “I was like, ‘Wha...?’,” remembered Lynn Breedlove. “I can barely do one at a time.” This was something that Acker famously did, for a brief while keeping what she called the Masturbation Journals. “I start,” she writes in one example. “Do I want porn? If I’ve got porn can I write this journal? (Do this do that: get all those thots [sic] out of mind, back to dreams where all the animals live) ... I will float forever ...”
...
At the beginning of class, she also told her students that she wasn’t there to solve their problems; she was going to be neither mother nor shrink. That disclaimer, students soon found, was a bit of misdirection—she could, in fact, be extremely nurturing. When one student, for example, arrived to class on her motorcycle, her bare hands freezing, Acker promptly gave the woman an old pair of hers. She could be especially supportive when it came to students’ writing. She told many of them to never give up on their writing. “She almost violently grabbed me by my braids,” said Anna Joy Springer, “and said, ‘You’re so good, Anna Joy, don’t you dare stop writing. I think you’re the reincarnation of Jean Genet.’ I had no idea who that even was.”
...
Springer was dating Lynn Breedlove, the founding member of Tribe8, a queercore band that often spoofed the antics of straight hair bands like Bon Jovi. Breedlove wasn’t technically a student at SFAI, but Springer brought him to the Edinburgh Castle and he was immediately intrigued. “There was this little, short, butch-femme, leather-clad, Harley-riding New Yorker babe,” Breedlove remembered, “talking about this French porno philosophy shit. And I was like, ‘Whoa.’ She had my attention.” Breedlove had a degree in English from Cal State and liked to condense literary and philosophical ideas into three-chord rock songs, bestowing this knowledge, he said, on kids who couldn’t afford college. Acker, he felt, was engaged in a similar project, making ideas and information accessible in her own way too. In Acker’s class, he wrote about years lost to drugs and alcohol and about his past life as a bike messenger. That writing would eventually become Godspeed, Breedlove’s first novel. “She made herself so accessible to all of us,” he said. “And validated us. She said, ‘Okay, you guys are young, you’re queer, you’re fucking way out on the edges of society, and the world needs to hear about your lives’.” Acker hired Tribe8 to make music for her spoken-word album Redoing Childhood, taking producer Hal Willner to a concert the night before the recording session, where the band proceeded to cut up several large green and blue dildos on stage. Acker called Tribe8 the “hottest band in San Francisco” and Breedlove “one of the dreams I had had when I was a girl.”
...
“She was learning a lot,” Springer said. “How to have sexual intimacy with women, about diverse gender roles, about power plays that didn’t have exact representational parallels in real life. I think she was learning about queerness, feminist queerness.” That said, and as much as Acker loved the idea of queerness, as much as she thought of herself as queer, sex with women was still only rarely appealing to her.
...
Springer saw this too, though in somewhat different terms. Acker was in her forties, had never had kids, and was watching a generation of young queer women come of age, third-wave feminists who could have been her children, who she had, in a way, given permission to be. “She never thought that what was happening in feminist, dyke, punk, S and M, anti-moralistic culture could happen with women,” Springer said. “She was, like, ‘Oh my god, you kids are doing amazing things. The future might be possible’.”

Why is Six Degrees of Separation by The Script so fucking accurate?
First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have messed up a little.

ok so i listen to math and physics youtube videos to fall asleep right? like they all have soothing VO and music, tend to have a black background— just good sleepytime content.
anywho this friend— well i mean we’ve been taking for 2 years and live in the same city but never like met up— she tells me that this guy she was talking to on bumble turned out to be the roommate of her ex-boss’ wife or something like that and my ass instantly goes “there’s like a 12-ish percent chance of that happening” and explained the whole six degrees of separation thing (given that the average person knows 150 people, everyone on earth is only 6 degrees removed from any other person).
i think the sleepytime math videos are doing something to my brain subliminally because i used to be HORRIBLE at maths in school.
