He's so fucking stoopid I love him but also I legit don't know how to feel about him yk? Like,, I've been in this fandom for years and he's basically been my fave for so long, but at the end of the day I cannot describe him crystal clear. He's strange and I want more content from Hima of him, tho he has more content than some characters I still wish for more in-depth stuff! Mooore!! I'd marry him if I could but also nationverse strikes again.

For both:

They're extremely complex characters in my mind, not only just from what we know in canon but also from peer and personal interpretation! I think these two can easily be made morally grey, and that's extremely important when exploring their history. Like I don't think they're awful individuals, but fiction is an endless space and people tend to have their own fun. I make them assholes here and little shits there, but I don't think they're downright evil. Humans are complex, and Nationverse is the last situation I would consider them NOT be difficult to pin down. Antonio is mentioned to be two-faced, which is something I enjoy exploring a lot because there is no way with his history his happiness and obliviousness isn't some sort of coping mechanism he chooses to use rather than a natural thing. Also, my views on these two are not superior to anybody else's btw I just thought it would be funny to put that since I do deal with my own interp the most! Other people's interps are so fucking good okay (I am looking at you two!!)

But at the same time, I also hate the majority of fanon's interp over the years. Making Port some weirdo with a victim complex confuses me a lot looking at how absolutely stubborn this poor fucker is in my mind, but I do believe he would have depression issues and some form of imposter syndrome. But he's not weak and he doesn't see himself as a poor sod, he can acknowledge in some situations he's helpless and in others he can solve them. Older nations are stubborn and hate asking for help, I don't doubt he hates it lmao. But yeah kinda over the whole "poor Port" thing he can be a dick when the situation calls for it! This can apply to Antonio too, he's not a pathetic little shit either but they both have their moments obviously

And with Spain.. don't get me started on him. Please. I know his obliviousness is canon, but obliviousness doesn't equate to stupid and they make him so ignorant like there's just no way in hell. I know he may not read social situations well, but he sure as fuck knows how to read people (all except Port from what I'm seeing haha but that's a different situation). Spanish people are relatively blunt, but he wouldn't say something so awfully rude it would hurt somebody unless he intended it to lol. And he seems like the kind of person to be extremely smart with the things he enjoys! Canon kinda supports that as well, but it's a very recent development with the trivia thing being a new strip reveal but hshdjc you get my point hopefully!

Also the idea that they're related gets on my nerves sometimes because over 3/4ths of the people I've seen headcanon that get ignorant with it (as in, they culture blend and don't actually differentiate between Spanish and Portuguese people and are SUPER disrespectful! Also the name Carriedo doesn't exist in Portuguese at least be a little bit accurate if ur giving them the same names lol) Those who do it and aren't wild with it tho? I adore seeing all dynamics between the two. Go ham! Just be more kind and try not to make Spanish and Portuguese people out to be a monolith and also listen to them pls they would know a thing or two!!

On a more personal note, the they're literally me thing is a complete joke because I have hazel green eyes and brown hair lmfao. Depending on when I cut my hair I can make myself resemble them relatively easy with the exception of glasses because I'm blind as fuck hahaha. I also project onto them a lot because I project on all of my characters. I make them both Bi and mentally complex in some sort of way!! They're both impulsive and stubborn like me, and Antonio in my heart has ADHD to the max. Port has my weird affinity with the sea and the color blue while Antonio my obsession with fire and the color red. Just little things, they're obviously not me in the slightest but I give them elements of myself because I am controlling them in a fictional environment, and because it helps me cope knowing they can be liked and have similarities with me (I have,, unfortunate self esteem issues lmao) so yeah I just really adore them and I also replicate their characters as well. I will be honest in saying I project more on Antonio than Port tho hdhrjf- If I'm kind like Antonio and calm like Port, maybe I'll be liked more ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just like them, I am a complex individual as well. We all are, humans are fucking nuts and it's fun to think about- also as you can see I'm mentally ill as fuck about them so not much explanation needed there LMAOO

3. Will Lenore and Carmilla fight? (Idk I theorise that their bad sexy bi bitch power will make them fight for dominance.)

Edit: they didn’t have a fist fight like I pictured because they’re sisters who love each other but Lenore was betrayed but Carmillas ambitions which would leave Lenores diplomatic values in the dust.

4. Will Issac...chill..?? Forgive humans? Turn against the vampires and hell- probably not but I’m curious on his future move.

Edit: wait...did Isaac die in that tower? Idk I’m still slightly confused. But I guess he forgave humanity, he wanted the sick not to suffer so he slaughtered the city and rebuilt it for a future people/nation. He also didn’t kill Hector and he was really chill, he just wanted to end Carmilla because her ambitions were toxic.

5. Is hector ok? I mean listen I’m into pet play but this is against his will, can...can Lenore and him be genuine next season please? I knew not to trust her but I just think they make a cute pair (even though she made him her slave SJDJDJD)

Edit: Hector did not seem traumatised by the puppy treatment and Lenore and him became....banter pals? 2020 Year in Thirst Pt. 2

Sometimes, I will watch a drama for the plot/premise/substance and be rewarded with a surprise hottie, and it’s the best feeling ever!  It’s like finding money in your pocket that you didn’t know about.  The following list of dramas can be described as:

Came for the plot, was rewarded with a surprising side of thirst

1. Flower of Evil

Brief Summary: Lee Jun Ki plays Baek Hee Sung and Moon Chae Won plays Cha Ji Won, his wife who is also a detective.  What Ji Won doesn’t know is that her husband, Hee Sung, is actually Hyun Soo, a man on the run from a murder that he did not commit and also a suspected accomplice to a series of murders committed by his father in the past.  Oh yeah, his dad secretly tried to groom him into being his protege/murder partner.  Because of how he was raised, HS believes that he has no emotions and is simply putting on an act as the perfect husband and father.  His “parents” are in on the ruse and are actually the ones who forced him into assuming their comatose son’s identity.  Anyway, of course things from the past start to catch up with HS and his wife is somehow assigned to investigating his old murder case.  She of course feels betrayed, but also conflicted as she discovers her husband is not who he said he was and a prime murder suspect.  Things get even more complicated as the real murderer re-appears with fabulous long hair and tries to frame HS for the murders.  In between all of this are delicious make outs between the couple and at least one instance where they banged so hard, HS was wiped out the next morning.

Surprise Thirst Factor: I checked out this drama fully expecting to drop it because the promos were so misleading and unappealing. But boy was I in for a pleasant surprise!  Not only was the drama super addicting, it also had some nice eye candy in the form of Lee Jun Ki being a completely unrealistic house husband who satisfies in the housework (The man cooks and does the laundry!), childcare, and bedroom and Kim Ji Hoon’s glorious mane of beauty making viewers have a moral crisis over lusting after a homicidal maniac (who turned out to be a real loser without murder daddy around to clean up his mess.  It’s ok, we’ll always have his hair).

Yes, work that hair honey.  It’s the only good thing you’ve got going on for you (the character, not Kim Ji Hoon)

The chemistry between Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won was fire and the make out scenes were soo believable.  Like yes, these two beautiful people are really into being married to each other and understandably want to make out all the time. 

He’s the primary caretaker for their daughter and it’s just *swoons.*  Not all thirst traps come in the form of sexy abs (although I would not mind if he wanted to flash some).

2. Six Flying Dragons

Brief Summary: The story of young Yi Bang Won (who later becomes King Taejong) and the founding of the Joseon Dynasty.  As short as it sounds, that really is an accurate summary of the drama haha.

Surprise Thirst Factor: I started watching this drama because I heard it was a great sageuk and I’m a big fan of Yoo Ah In.  Even though I’m a fan of his acting, Yoo Ah In doesn’t necessarily get my hormones raging so I wasn’t expecting to be so thirsty while watching Six Flying Dragons.  But then.  BUT THEN.  Byun Yo Han showed up in all his scruffy tortured deadly killer glory and my hormones woke up and said hi, hello, who are you, what’s your name, what’s your sign, can I get your number?  The deadlier and more tortured his character got, the sexier he became to me.  Sorry Yoo Ah In, you’ll always be my acting boo, but Byun Yo Han’s got my thirst.  Byun Yo Han looks so good when he's sad and/or covered in blood, it makes me feel like a sadist for thinking that I wouldn’t mind if the drama made his character cry some more.

3. Ever Night S1

Brief Summary: As a child, Ning Que witnessed his entire household get massacred because of a prophecy that the child of Hades will be born from the house and bring about the Eternal Night.  Somehow, he managed to escape and was the lone survivor.  He finds a baby buried in a pile of dead bodies as he’s fleeing and names her Sang Sang.  The two orphans grow up inseparable from each other and do whatever it takes to survive in the harsh, cruel world.  Ning Que earns money by becoming a deadly mercenary and Sang Sang takes care of the household affairs.  At one point, Ning Que becomes a disciple of the powerful Fu Zi and somehow gets entangled in the struggles between the Holy Sect and Demon Sect.  A bunch of beautiful women fall for Ning Que, and the drama tries its hardest to convince us that he has chemistry with and reciprocates the feelings of one of them (i.e. Mo Shan Shan), but anybody who was even half paying attention knows that the only one for Ning Que is Sang Sang.  They are the OTP of all OTPs and take “ride or die” to a whole other level. Oh also, their height difference is the stuff manga dreams are made of. Ning Que is a “good guy” but also not a “good guy” in the sense that he is not above doing whatever it takes to seek revenge and is only out for himself and Sang Sang (and later, his older brothers and sisters from the academy).

Surprise Thirst Factor: Chen Feiyu is an attractive person but I could not in good conscience thirst after him because he was literally born in the year 2000.  It did not help that he was only 18 when he filmed Ever Night and looked every bit his age.  My thirst may have no shame, but it does have its own set of principles and one of those principles is thou shalt not lust after those born in the new millennium!  Luckily for me, Second Brother is played by Dylan Kuo who is a beautiful, elegant, tall man

and Brother Chao is exactly the type of rugged and manly that I am into.

Brief Summary:  Asule is the prince of a tribe in the grasslands who is held as a royal guest (i.e. hostage) in the Eastland Empire.  There he meets his two future best friends, Yu Ran, a free spirited princess who is descended from a race of bird people, and Ji Ye, an emo neglected/shunned son of a concubine who is probably the best fighter in the empire.  Ji Ye loves Yu Ran who is a ball of sunshine to his Johnny Raincloud dark emo self.  Yu Ran loves Ji Ye back.  Asule loves both his friends and will do anything to protect them.  The world decides to fuck over best friends Asule, Ji Ye, and Yu Ran for no reason as they try their best to just live a peaceful life away from all the political scheming and fighting.

Surprise Thirst-worthiness: I was completely content with enjoying Eagle Flag purely for its story and substance.  It’s seriously a wonderful, yet heartbreaking drama and the scale of the production is amazing.  No cheap $10 costumes here.  Also, the direction is beautiful/artistic and not the run of mill “let’s shoot it and complete it as fast as we can.”  The two main actors were cute, but not really my type.  Then the drama decided to give Ji Ye the “Sexy Bloody Tormented Killer Makeover” and all of a sudden your girl was rushing to MDL to check Chen Ruo Xuan’s birthday and calculating his age.  I am simple, predictable, and consistent when it comes to my thirst and give a character some scruff, long hair, angst, and some bloodlust and I’m all yours.  I am literally:

Is it wrong that when Ji Ye showed up looking like this ready to kill his mother’s torturer

I thought, yes, can we have him kill another? 

5. Run On

Brief Summary: Im Siwan plays Ki Seon Geom, a national track runner from a rich family who is a bit of an oddball and marches to his own beat.  Although his words can sometimes be construed as rude since he has no filter, they are also completely honest and have no hidden meaning.  He also has his own personal code that he lives by and he will stick to it no matter how negatively it may impact himself.  He meets Oh Mi Joo, a translator with her own strange quirks and sparks fly as Mi Joo is assigned to be his interpreter.  

Surprise Thirst-worthiness: I kind of watched this drama by accident.  I had read about Im Siwan starring in a new drama but nothing I saw from the description or promos for Run On appealed to me.  Nor did it give me any information about what the drama would be about.  Then one day, I just happened to be browsing Netflix for something to play in the  background and decided on Run on since I thought I wouldn’t be that invested.  What a happy accident that turned out to be because I’m so in love with this drama right now.  This is a case where the thirst does not stem from the character’s physical appearance, but from the intensity/charisma the actor brings to the character and the character himself.  Ki Seon Geom is so odd, but so appealing at the same time and Im Siwan is so magnetic in the role.  Prior to Run On, Im Siwan wasn’t really my type physically.  In fact, I always scratched my head whenever people called him handsome in dramas (I know, I know, forgive me).  So color me shocked when I found myself swooning all over Im Siwan in the second episode of Run On.  Now, it’s like I have “Im Siwan is attractive” glasses on and he looks attractive in everything to me.  I want to gobble up all the dramas he’s been in.

“But he just needed help with his volleyball team. Didn’t even come to see me.”

“You should just tell him you miss him. He hasn’t even come to visit you here.”

“He’s a big softie. Would probably start crying if he saw me in this gown.”

You chuckled. “Probably means he cares about you.”

“Keishin should visit so I can introduce you to each other.”

“I’d love to meet him,” you said lightly.

There was something genuine about Ukai-san’s ‘I have a grandson your age’ comments, even though you treated them like a joke. It felt different than the others you got during your rounds.

Maybe it was the understanding you came to the first time he was admitted.

Patients from his generation were difficult. Especially when they felt as he did—their condition wasn’t that bad and they could just get treatment at home.

On his first full day, he refused to take his medicine and wouldn’t talk to anyone. When it got to the point where he had to take his medicine, the other nurses on the floor played a game of rock-paper-scissors to see who would get the job of getting him to take it. You lost the game and had the pleasure of figuring out how to coax him into being a good patient.

Pulling a chair next to his bed, you sat and sighed.

“Your daughter-in-law is pretty worried.”

Silence.

“You need to take your medicine, Ukai-san. Are you feeling dizzy or lightheaded?”

More silence.

“Hmm, your son did say this is your first time at the hospital in months. Although, last time wasn’t at our prestigious institution. But you should know the drill. You need to help your heart pump that blood.”

“I’m not taking that medicine.”

You blinked. “I’m pretty sure your son said you don’t have any allergies to medicine. Did he forget?”

You frowned, leaning forward. “Did they ask you how you were before you took it?”

“No.”

“Well, that’s why. You can’t take this when feeling faint. A TV nurse could’ve told you that.” You reined in your anger for a moment. “Ukai-san?”

He grunted in response.

“It’s okay to be scared.”

Ukai-san looked up at you.

Continuing, you said, “I understand how disorienting this all can be. Especially if you’ve had a bad experience. No one wants to be in the hospital. But you can’t get better if you don’t tell us what’s happening on Planet Ukai. Today: no dizziness, right?”

“No. No dizziness.”

“So today: you need to take your medicine. Later today? Tomorrow? Maybe not. Sound good?”

Nodding, he visibly relaxed.

“Great.” You smiled, handing him a paper cup. “And it’s okay to be afraid,” you whispered. “It would be a little unnerving if you weren’t.” Standing, you added at your regular volume, “But we’ll take care of you here. Ok, Ukai-san?”

“Yes.”

“Thank you. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Thank you.”

After that, Ukai-san continued to give all the other nurses a hard time, except for you.

Noa would frequently ask how it felt to be the General’s favorite. And you would reply, “I’ll let you know when I meet this grandson.”

“Keishin’s team is playing a game today. You should come watch a bit.”

“I heard you’ll be hosting a little party.”

Ukai-san told you more about the team Karasuno would be playing and his long-lived rivalry with Nekoma’s coach as you did your routine around the room.

The game slipped from your mind until you heard cheers coming from Ukai-san’s room.

“How’s it going?”

Following his instructions, you sat beside him on the bed.

Ok so firstly this show is honestly one of the best kdrama’s I’ve ever watched. Like I’m actually shocked it’s not more popular. So let’s get right into it.

The Plot : 

ok so at first and in the first couple of episodes, I was very confused and not really sure where this plot was going but eventually I started to get to know the characters and the rest was history....now I’m emotionally attached to a show that came out 4 years ago hahah 😂 . But seriously this plot is really really heartwarming and so calming. Definitely a slow burner so don’t expect some crazy stuff..just relax and enjoy.

The Characters. Hmm should we go one by one yess let’s do that 

Our Queen Deoksan 👏: ok applause to hyeri for fully embodying this character honestly she was amazing. Ok so deoksan at first was introduced as a almost sad middle child type of character and it was so amazing to see her go from that to realizing she’s loved to working hard for her exams to falling in love with Taek. I loved her character development as well as just her in general honestly STAN DEOKSAN

Our Pure boy Taek: let me start by saying I love Taek like there’s no denying I would die for him lol but more seriously I love love soft boy characters and his so precious I JUST WANT TO PROTECT. I also love boys who are shy but also are not afraid to express that they like someone like YESS King👏 anyway his relationship with his father made me cry and I loved everything to do with him

Mr hottie Junghwan: though i was a taek fan, i loved how sweet and funny junghwan was. Like you can really see that he did care for deoksan and they just had that “ right lovers bad timing” type of relationship. anyway his interactions with his brother were so sweet and the pilot story.goodness i needed some tissues. i love him and he deserved better 🥺

firstly, you were good friends from the neighbourhood

pretty close but not like these friends that are always together, but you talked a lot with him when happened to meet each other on the streets

he acted like a kid when he was with you, and it was cute tho

sometimes you two walked from school to home together

but you couldn't help, you had a huge crush on him

you tried to hide, but you thought he knew about it

just two good friends from the same school and same street

it was soft and calm, and you felt the sincerity on his kiss

he really regretted being so childlike

& WHAT POLITICIANS REALLY MEAN

Hey, did you hear that the Overstock.com founder went undercover with that red-headed bombshell Russian spy Maria Butina. It's a true story, according to Salt Lake Tribune zen master Tony “El Tigre” Semerad. This is real cloak-and-dagger stuff so hold on to your thong. The 56-year-old founder of the Midvale-based online retail firm found himself in the middle of international intrigue that would make Sean Connery blush. According to the algorithms, when a politician says, “We must respect all life,” it really means, “I'm not going to touch this with a stick.” And when we plugged this statement into the program: “We must get government out of our pockets,” the algorithm spit out: “We're giving corporations and the fat cats big tax breaks.” So, with all the carnage lately, we felt compelled to analyze this statement: “We must stop this gun violence and mental illness,” the computer printout said: “Hey, the NRA is breathing down my neck and I'll do anything to get re-elected.” Even Wilson and the band didn't need a computer to figure that one out.

You Gotta Love Trump's Policies

A lot of people say they don't like President Trump's tweets but they like his policies. It's true, like an 8th-grader he often tweets out mean-spirited things aimed at his critics or anyone who can't seem to embrace TrumpWorld: “(San Juan, Puerto Rico) Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz, you island skank.” But his policies — ah that's altogether different: He's rolling back regulations on clean air and clean water. It's good for the economy, don't you know. His policy of separating children, including infants, from their mothers at the southern border is particularly rewarding — it shows those invading brown people that we are a Christian nation and they need to screw off. And President Trump is showing those Chinese a thing or two. Right on Donald! He's making our soy beans and wheat too expensive with his tariffs and trade war — now we've got the Chinese right were we want them. And the farmers love him for it, even if they are going broke. Perhaps best of all is our Dear Leader's policies toward those uppity Europeans. He told them to stuff it on the Paris Climate Accords — take that you doorknobs. And don't forget Trump's trillion dollar tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy — just look at the economy soar. Face it, he's the best president ever. Orrin Hatch said so and when has he ever mislead anyone?

Banning Guns At Church Unconstitutional

So, like what's the deal with the Mormons banning guns at church? Since when did the 2nd Amendment end on the church doorsteps? And while we're at, what's with the airlines, anyway? Since when did the 2nd Amendment not apply to air travel? The 2nd Amendment doesn't say: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed except on airplanes.” There is something going on here — some kind of conspiracy to take away our constitutional freedoms. Pretty soon they'll want to keep assault rifles out of pre-school. It' a slippery slope. Next it will be no guns in operating rooms. How are surgeons supposed to protect themselves? And what about the anesthesiologist — they're always a prime target. No wonder they make so much money. And what would it hurt if they had a 9mm strapped to their leg. Our thoughts and prayers, of course, go out to the families of all 51 victims of the mass shootings in August — just like Vice President Android Pence said. But if the bleeding-heart socialists get their way we'll have background checks before we can buy guns. And then, pray tell, how will good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns? It just doesn't make any sense.

Well that's it for another crazy week here at Smart Bomb, as we bid a fond farewell to the summer of 2019. The Labor Day holiday, of course, means... well, it means something but we forget what. It could have had something to do with workers being treated like human beings, but that was a long time ago. These days, Labor Day means barbecue and beach time. And anyway, we don't need things like Labor Unions anymore because they just get in the way of profitability. The next holiday seems like its eons away — Thanksgiving. It's a great holiday because there aren't any presents and after the pumpkin pie you can split and escape all the in-laws. Yes, of course we know that some consider Halloween a holiday — the most important of the year, in fact. After hearing about Agent Overstock and his tryst with the beautiful Russian spy, Wilson and the band are planning to dress up as figures from James Bond movies: Dr. No, Oddjob, Miss Moneypenny and Honey Ryder, Goldfinger, Jaws and Pussy Galore. Cool.

Not very long at all. Finally started posting recently. Always written short stories before not really fanfic ones but over active imagination refuse to let me sleep so it just had to be done. Have a tiny dictator of a toddler so any ‘me’ time is limited daily but i’m enjoying to chance to share.
