I saw your reader x DCA masterlist and I wanted to say that it helped me find some really good fics in there ✨

the main premise is sun is an heir to the throne of insert fictitious land here and he was created by the wonderful king afton to end the war between the rebellion between the off colors and the automatons

off colors are basically bots that just. didn’t make the cut

humans are also mixed into the group, basically just everyone that wasn’t accepted into the king’s “perfect” empire

well as it turns out the leader of the rebellion (the napcap himself, moon moon) is GASP working with the prince!!! sun and moon are secretly working together to take down the throne because MOON was actually the og sun but he was kicked out into the off colors for “making disparaging remarks about the kingdom and committing treason”

SO sun and moon would secretly like be meeting up and stuff right and exchange information

this is where reader enters

reader is COMPLETELY brainwashed and is totally 100% down for the kingdom and accidentally stumbles upon a series of secret notes passed between the celestial crown princes and is like. oh damn they’re conspiring against our fatherland

after successfully landing a conference with the king himself (reader comes from a noble family and ofc his trusted advisor Vanessa is there to oversee it) reader is like.

hey man, this isn’t very cash money so the king is like. well. since you’re the own who discovered this little secret I’m gonna have to get rid of you sorry shawty I can’t have anyone knowing I’m not super cool and reader is like. wait what if I got more info for you?? what if I was like a super cool spy and joined the off colors and the king is like okay yeah sure but you’re on borrowed time so

SO READER JOINS THE REBELLION AND GETS KINDA CLOSE WITH MOON AND HAS TO REPORT TO THE KING BI WEEKLY ON WHAT THEY LEARNED

mEANWHILE reader also becomes friends with sun after totally not intentionally bumping into him a few times in the palace (reader stays there so afton can keep an eye on them)

BUT THEN SUN FAKES HIS DEATH and when reader pops up at the next rebellion meeting and sees sun standing next to moon it ✨goes down ✨

i will never not find it funny how some people make it seem as if the fem lead or the story is very interesting(she's not, the fem lead is found in many stories of the genre, annoying personality, villainess are usually the worst of the lot) of some josei/shoujo romance when everyone with eyes and brains can see the posts are all about thirsts for the male lead. Like, its not hard to admit you just like the very good looking, too handsome male lead. it's a perfect example of self inserting in the story, in the below average fem lead and oohing at scenes with the handsome lead.

here's the example

He is very good looking. wan hachipisu's art is lovely, the males especially. arnold hein is very very good looking, he is very handsome. shame the author usually draws for TL which are an annoyance at best and a cringesfest at worst.

Above illustration is from TL novel. I wouldnt buy it no matter how good looking male lead is when its TL, and its only cover illustration at that.

Anyway, the story has tons of good looking guys, the main selling point.

Because I cannot imagine why he and the fem should be together because the story is just plain boring as the pink haired female.

maybe i have an aversion to pink haired fem characters since i cant stand the brat in spy x family but i doubt that's the case. the little brat is another off putting character. i am glad season 2 had less of her irritating scenes. to think people compare her and damian to sakura and syaoran. as if. sakura and syaoran were so so endearing. anya could never.

let's not pretend its fem lead who is making you read the story. at least be honest to yourselves. the story would be nothing if not for handsome guy.

Not to mention this whole villainess genre is laughable. are they villainess? because all these stories show actual good guys as trash. i have seen by the grace of the gods anime and its so sweet, maybe because its shounen.

but shoujo/josei isekai, villainess stories are so idiotic. its handsome guys people like, lets not kid ourselves into thinking its anything but that.

ask yourself, would you ever appplause caroline bingley, an actual villain for getting a good guy, maybe darcy's cousin, fitzwilliam and condemn darcy and elizabeth. or better yet portray lydia and kitty and wickham as nice.

No. the answer is a flat no.

try as much as you wish, they'll never be iconic characters like sakura from clamp, yona from akatsuki no yona, kyoko from skip beat, shirayuki, violet evergarden who are very pleasant and likeable characters. You want to read more of their story, they are that good.

and it's hilarious they get offended when people say, nah we dont care for them. it's actually the same case of self inserting in gay ships, replacing the male lead with self insert/ofc then getting upset when people rightfully call it out.

its doubly strange and ironic, the fem leads of such stories are never changed to male. thats a big no no. nah, that habit is reserved especially for males in gay ships. blatant homophobia at its finest.

how to tell you are homophobic without explicitly saying so, we need women representation in gay ship replacing the male lead with vile self insert, we are gonna have sub male become a female, have the other male lead talk all het crap about what he wants to do to her, pregnancy and what not, female anatomy talk is must. but but we are not homophobic.

On a happier note, Sakura Riko's animal hybrid series, wolf/rabbit is licensed by yen press. I can't wait to have the fifth volume of their college years and new story of wolf x wolf in english. I have read the first four and they are just lovely, fifth i have the volume and its lovelier. sixth story is of older brother and it must be good too.

so... i didn’t do so hot in terms of word count in december, but i’ll give myself a pass because i wrote so much in november lol. and, even though i didn’t write quite as many words as i’d hoped, i did work on quite a lot of projects even if i was only making a tiny bit of progress on each, so YAY!!

i am trying to really shift my focus towards book revisions so i think most of my efforts are going to go towards that in january. 

however, as always i am unable to detach myself from fic entirely lol... i have two zine pieces i need to work on (both of which i’m very excited about!). aaaand maybe i will eat my words but... i think i’m going to attempt to finish writing ch 19 of altea rising, which i’ve been trying to get back into lately. it’s just been weighing on me that it’s been 4(??!!) years since i’ve updated it and i’ve had a couple people ask whether it’ll be completed, so i do wanna put a bit more effort towards that (esp bc it’s only gonna be 20 chapters total so I AM ALMOST THERE - then ofc i need to edit/post all the unpublished chapters but uhhh that’s a problem for future me!). it’s also that i’ve felt a bit burned out on all my other fic projects lately, so i’m hoping having like One Thing to focus on will help me a bit.

...okay wow i’m actually kinda (pleasantly) shocked that i completed most of my 2022 goals so YAAY!!! 

2022 was a big year for me especially for my original writing! it’s kinda mind-blowing looking back on this time last year, when i had only just finished a first draft of my YA sci-fi book. since then it’s gone through several more drafts and got me into two mentorships - something i could not even have imagined a year ago. i honestly felt pretty bleak about it at the beginning of the year, so it’s exciting to see how far it’s come since then, and is hopefully promising of where it will go in the future. :’) i also not only outlined a whole other book but also wrote about the first 20k words of a first draft, so that’s super exciting!!

i didn’t write quite as much fic in 2022 as i have in previous years, but i still made progress on a bunch of projects—in particular, i’m super glad i finished sylvix dreamscape fic and also started posting the renga fic, since those were two things that took me a very long time haha. excited to edit/post the remaining chapters of those in 2023!! plus i have a lot of other fics in the works that i am super excited about!

there are a number of fic projects i kinda let fall by the wayside this past year - namely my two wenzhou wips and my unfinished klance multichaps... but i do hope to get back to those sometime in 2023, i miss them a lot! plus i’ve been trying to focus on finishing more wips and not starting as many new things so we’ll see how that goes lol.

I have been desperate to talk about these ever since I came up with them, which was in the latter half of 2019, I just really wasn't sure how to bring this up to the internet at all, BUT NOW I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT THEM THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOOTING ME THESE ASKS!! godIamsuchapatheticlittlecreature

Ok, here we go, I'm gonna give a brief rundown of both of my AUs. I have two AUs in total, one in which Luke and his family are borrowers, and one in which The Professor and his family are borrowers. The main goal I generally have with these AUs is to keep all the major plot related stuff in place, but mold the stuff around it a bit so that the characters new size also still works, yknow, basically just put an interesting G/t spin on the whole series.

Continue under the cut cause this got really really long X| BTW MASSIVE MASSIVE SPOILERS!!!!!!!! FOR ALL THE GAMES!!!!! (Mostly in the second section though) (Some pics at the very bottom)

So the LukeAU: Misthallery has a pretty tight knit community of borrowers, most of the black market boys being borrowers for example, Luke and his family also are borrowers, currently living in the mayors house. (the mayor in this AU is Doland btw, I thought, like, he still sorta belongs w/ the Tritons, but borrowers don't have butlers so yadayada he's the mayor) So Descole starts searching for the Azran here too, so naturally the Phantom appears and the borrower community as well as the human community is very distraught about it, so Luke goes to investigate this mostly on his own, with the assistance of his animal companions or course. So he figures out how to predict the attacks and leaves the mayor letters in his type writer about it, (with toppy's help, because he's to lightweight to press the keys properly on his own) which the mayor takes into account because he really has nothing else to go on. Luke also goes to spy a little on the human townsfolk, looking for someone that could help him with this mistery and giant monster, though he mostly comes to the conclusion that most of the townsfolk aren't really cut out for the job since they need to meet three criteria: 1. Smart (most people need to have their puzzles solved for them so nope) 2. Not completely lost when things get a bit hairy, ie fight etc (Most of them are average people so nope there too) 3. Trustworthy to borrowerkind (hard to gauge but the general consensus is not to take the risk for most of them) So Luke turns to a particular gentleman that he's often read articles about in newspapers (when he can get them) Solves difficult cases when noone else can and has a general knack for puzzles, Nr. 1 check Is an experienced fencer, so should be athletic enough to take some of what this investigation will throw at them, Nr. 2 also check Is considered a true Gentleman (TM) by most people and him going out if his way (Uni work) to go solve cases for other people already speaks of his goodwill, though if he's trustworthy to borrowerkind is a bit of a different thing, Luke figures he can bring him here to check for himself, and if that point turns out to be a bust the Professor will hopefully stay and start investigating the case by his own accord. So he sends the Professor a letter via his Pigeon friends, under the guise of the mayor of course. When the Professor (and Emmy, she was kind of a variable Luke didn't expect, her attitude seems a bit worrying but she's okay for now) arrives and asks the mayor about it, the mayor gives him the expected rundown and offers the two of them stay at his house (since this was the Triton estate in the original he has a lot of room that he doesn't need), where Luke confronts him in the evening with a puzzle to test him (from behind a conveniently large alarm clock, the Professor suspects speakers and a mic at first), then gives him the hotel where the Spectre will attack next as a meeting point. Next day they go there, first meeting scene plays out that I won't describe here, this is already getting way too long X/ I'm going way too much into detail

This is most of the story stuff I've got figured out so far, Luke might be letter pals with the Barde kids, Descole kidnaps Lukes Mom and tries to get info about the Azran out of her for reasons I will explain later, uh, yeah. The main reason why I'm not further along is because I still haven't replayed the games since I've done for the first time years and years ago, I wanted to play them together with my best friend but that goes really slow X/

Anyways, the LaytonAU: So the very fist thing I have to explain here is that borrowers are incredibly connected to the Azran civilization in both these AUs. Basically, in Azran times both Humans and Borrowers lived together peacefully, and this shows in a lot of written records, murals and also the way things are built in ruins and such. The general population and many archaeologists believe though that either the tiny people died out with the Azran or that all these things are either symbolic in nature or coincidences. But of course the tiny people still exist, and Targent knows this, Targent is branded to the public as an extermination Company, but they use this to drive out borrowers of peoples homes and capture them. Targent believes that borrowers are still very heavily connected to the Azran civilization, that they are either legit Azran people that survived or that they are Azran constructs or technology of some kind or yadayada, they MUST know SOMETHING about the Azran, so what Targend does is perform experiments on borrowers, torture them in any way imaginable and other horrendous things just to get SOME kind of info out of them, which they can use to further their goals. (the mayor in this AU is Doland btw, I thought, like, he still sorta belongs w/ the Tritons, but borrowers don't have butlers so yadayada he's the mayor) So Descole starts searching for the Azran here too, so naturally the Phantom appears and the borrower community as well as the human community is very distraught about it, so Luke goes to investigate this mostly on his own, with the assistance of his animal companions or course. So he figures out how to predict the attacks and leaves the mayor letters in his type writer about it, (with toppy's help, because he's to lightweight to press the keys properly on his own) which the mayor takes into account because he really has nothing else to go on. Luke also goes to spy a little on the human townsfolk, looking for someone that could help him with this mistery and giant monster, though he mostly comes to the conclusion that most of the townsfolk aren't really cut out for the job since they need to meet three criteria: 1. Smart (most people need to have their puzzles solved for them so nope) 2. Not completely lost when things get a bit hairy, ie fight etc (Most of them are average people so nope there too) 3. Trustworthy to borrowerkind (hard to gauge but the general consensus is not to take the risk for most of them) So Luke turns to a particular gentleman that he's often read articles about in newspapers (when he can get them) Solves difficult cases when noone else can and has a general knack for puzzles, Nr. 1 check Is an experienced fencer, so should be athletic enough to take some of what this investigation will throw at them, Nr. 2 also check Is considered a true Gentleman (TM) by most people and him going out if his way (Uni work) to go solve cases for other people already speaks of his goodwill, though if he's trustworthy to borrowerkind is a bit of a different thing, Luke figures he can bring him here to check for himself, and if that point turns out to be a bust the Professor will hopefully stay and start investigating the case by his own accord. So he sends the Professor a letter via his Pigeon friends, under the guise of the mayor of course. When the Professor (and Emmy, she was kind of a variable Luke didn't expect, her attitude seems a bit worrying but she's okay for now) arrives and asks the mayor about it, the mayor gives him the expected rundown and offers the two of them stay at his house (since this was the Triton estate in the original he has a lot of room that he doesn't need), where Luke confronts him in the evening with a puzzle to test him (from behind a conveniently large alarm clock, the Professor suspects speakers and a mic at first), then gives him the hotel where the Spectre will attack next as a meeting point. Next day they go there, first meeting scene plays out that I won't describe here, this is already getting way too long X/ I'm going way too much into detail

Uhhh, Clark gifts Hershel a sharpened letteropener sword, looks very cool How Hershel actually becomes a Professor is kind of an inofficial thing, but basically he does all the stuff he has to do for that under Dr. Schrader, makes friends with the Dean at some point and becomes secret professor basically I ALSO had this idea that he teaches classes remotely with a prewritten chalkboard and speakers somehow, maybe he is just straight up under a Box on the desk that is open towards the chalkboard, maybe he builds an elaborate machine, idk, this is not decided but I thought it would be funny if he somehow DID teach classes, maybe some of the students at Gressenheller even know that he's a borrower and it's kind of an in-joke that noone else understands idk XD Now, how he gets to meet Luke is basically this, Luke sends his letter not to Hershel but to Dr. Schrader, who, having gotten assigned Emmy as an assistant shortly before that (Emmy does know Hershel exists, being Dr. Schraders assistant will do that to you), responds to it instead, though he does take Hershel with him also, upon learning that the giant monster is very much real, Schrader basically goes, "Welp, I think I left the stove on, you two've got this, right?" and promptly exits the scene, leaving Emmy and Hershel to do this on their own.

From here on out I don't have much figured out, I need to replay the games but yeah, that's most of what I've got, this got way too long lol, have some concepts!!!

Ok, here we go, I'm gonna give a brief rundown of both of my AUs. I have two AUs in total, one in which Luke and his family are borrowers, and one in which The Professor and his family are borrowers. The main goal I generally have with these AUs is to keep all the major plot related stuff in place, but mold the stuff around it a bit so that the characters new size also still works, yknow, basically just put an interesting G/t spin on the whole series.

So the LukeAU: Misthallery has a pretty tight knit community of borrowers, most of the black market boys being borrowers for example, Luke and his family also are borrowers, currently living in the mayors house. (the mayor in this AU is Doland btw, I thought, like, he still sorta belongs w/ the Tritons, but borrowers don't have butlers so yadayada he's the mayor) So Descole starts searching for the Azran here too, so naturally the Phantom appears and the borrower community as well as the human community is very distraught about it, so Luke goes to investigate this mostly on his own, with the assistance of his animal companions or course. So he figures out how to predict the attacks and leaves the mayor letters in his type writer about it, (with toppy's help, because he's to lightweight to press the keys properly on his own) which the mayor takes into account because he really has nothing else to go on. Luke also goes to spy a little on the human townsfolk, looking for someone that could help him with this mistery and giant monster, though he mostly comes to the conclusion that most of the townsfolk aren't really cut out for the job since they need to meet three criteria: 1. Smart (most people need to have their puzzles solved for them so nope) 2. Not completely lost when things get a bit hairy, ie fight etc (Most of them are average people so nope there too) 3. Trustworthy to borrowerkind (hard to gauge but the general consensus is not to take the risk for most of them) So Luke turns to a particular gentleman that he's often read articles about in newspapers (when he can get them) Solves difficult cases when noone else can and has a general knack for puzzles, Nr. 1 check Is an experienced fencer, so should be athletic enough to take some of what this investigation will throw at them, Nr. 2 also check Is considered a true Gentleman (TM) by most people and him going out if his way (Uni work) to go solve cases for other people already speaks of his goodwill, though if he's trustworthy to borrowerkind is a bit of a different thing, Luke figures he can bring him here to check for himself, and if that point turns out to be a bust the Professor will hopefully stay and start investigating the case by his own accord. So he sends the Professor a letter via his Pigeon friends, under the guise of the mayor of course. When the Professor (and Emmy, she was kind of a variable Luke didn't expect, her attitude seems a bit worrying but she's okay for now) arrives and asks the mayor about it, the mayor gives him the expected rundown and offers the two of them stay at his house (since this was the Triton estate in the original he has a lot of room that he doesn't need), where Luke confronts him in the evening with a puzzle to test him (from behind a conveniently large alarm clock, the Professor suspects speakers and a mic at first), then gives him the hotel where the Spectre will attack next as a meeting point. Next day they go there, first meeting scene plays out that I won't describe here, this is already getting way too long X/ I'm going way too much into detail

But of course the tiny people still exist, and Targent knows this, Targent is branded to the public as an extermination Company, but they use this to drive out borrowers of peoples homes and capture them. Targent believes that borrowers are still very heavily connected to the Azran civilization, that they are either legit Azran people that survived or that they are Azran constructs or technology of some kind or yadayada, they MUST know SOMETHING about the Azran, so what Targend does is perform experiments on borrowers, torture them in any way imaginable and other horrendous things just to get SOME kind of info out of them, which they can use to further their goals. The Borrowers of course aren't in any way more Azran than the normal human population is so the most that Targent can ever get out of them is vague legends and stories that were passed down by word, but that little useless info still keeps them fixated on their borrower case, convinced that they know far more than they tell them, so they keep this whole thing going unfortunately.

Now enter the Bronev family, a family of borrowers living somewhere near the Gressenheller Uni. They get found out by one of the Targent exterminator teams and attempt to flee, both parents get snatched up almost immediately, though Hershel and Theo make it a bit farther Hershel knows they cannot both escape, so he sacrifices himself to buy Theo some time, and he does indeed make it out and manages to escape. Theo just runs and runs and runs, until he can't anymore and collapses in some bushes somewhere. There he gets found by the Laytons, also Borrowers, who live in one of the Side buildings of Gressenheller Uni. They take Theo in but a difficulty early on is that the boy can't seem to remember anything that happend to him, or his past, not even his own name. He does remember A name though, and that is his brothers, Hershel. Theo does know on some level that this isn't his own name but it's the only one he remembers, so it kind of must be, right? So that's what the Laytons call him from then on, his name is now Hershel Layton. Back with Targent, the rest of the Bronev family is locked up in some cages, the mother having already been taken off to be experimented on, when Raymond, then an engineer employed by Targent comes by the open Lab door and sees the borrowers in the cages, and he's shocked to see a very small child among them. He'd seen children before, but never this young, so he rescues them, unfortunately leaving Rachel Bronev behind. Shortly after he leaves the Company. He tries to help the Borrowers in any way he can, so he ends up building a human sized mech suit for Leon, who wants to go infiltrate Targent to rescue his wife, though upon finding out that he was too late, he decides that his Rachels death should not have been in vain and so in his delusions he ends up working his way to the top of Targend to further the goal that his wife head to die for. Meanwhile Hershel is disgusted with his fathers decision and learns engineering from Raymond to build his own human Mech suit, he becomes Desmond Sycamore an Archaeologist, begins research about the Azran, he eventually gets his own place, meets the borrower that lives there and starts his own family, though when Targent comes to him about his Archaeological work, they get to his family and gets them abducted and also killed. He follows Descolés path pretty beat for beat after this. Now Hershel meanwhile decides that he wants to go live in the main Gressenheller building, away from his parents, and he ends up running into a book about the Azran, opened on a page about the small people, on one of his borrowing trips in Dr. Schraders office. He is enamored with the idea that his people have an actual history and he starts coming back to Dr. Schraders office regularly in hopes of learning more. One day he ends up falling asleep mid read though, and Dr. Schrader finds him the next morning, Dr. Schrader approaches the whole situation very reasonably though, he recognizes that Hershel is indeed a Person and pretty much still a kid at that, so all he does is gently wake him up and let him go on his way, though he recognizes that the Kid has taken an interest in Azran history and leaves books out for him to read. Over time the two actually start interacting a little bit and a small relationship forms, though a very hands off (literally) teacher-student relationship. Then one day, Randall (Being here either a bit older than we see him in MM or just skipped a few grades and is earlier than expected at Gressenheller, haven't decided yet) decides to disregard Dr. Schraders visiting hours and just barges into his office where he finds Hershel currently on the desk reading a book, a very hands on first meeting scene follows, and they become palls. :) Randall eventually wants to take Hershel on adventuring trips, but he wants Hershel to be a bit more independent and not need to sit on his shoulder all the time so he does two things: 1. He teaches him how to fence 2. He designs a flying machine for him (Like, a backpack unfoldable plane thing, I have concepts if anyone is

interested ) Some testing phase shenanigans ensue but unfortunately MM "Randall falls into the chasm"-scene also ensues :( So some time later Hershel gets acquainted with the Tritons, and Claire, the whole explosion thing happens, Hershel gets there with his flying machine and ends up showing himself to a crying Clive in an alleyway to console him (that's how Clive knows him haven't figured out how he gets a letter to him later though...) You were new to the Avenfers despite being Tony Starks sister. They didn't know he had a sister because he never told them per your request. And only introduced yourself during the battle of New York showing up in an iron suit.

Although you had already worked for Shield even before Tony did as an agent. You helped him build some of his suits, even made your own

Tony and you were slightly different from each other with you being more on the nicer and sweeter side but still had his wit and sass.

You got along with the rest of them team really well, especially with a certain red headed assassin. Natasha had gotten to like you a lot after a few years of being colleagues, though was a complete wreck at asking you out.

Now you and the Avengers are in Sokovia battling with Ultron and his iron legion alongside new additions. Pietro and Wanda Maximoff.

"So when do you think help is on the way." You blasted through the robots that were lined up. "Any minute now cavalry."

"I didn't say we should leave.." You hear Natasha as you land to the ground. "There's worse ways to go." She finishes, you open your mask to breath a little better. "This isn't exactly how I planned mine to be." You said taking a few deep breaths.

"Where else am I gonna get a view like this." She motioned about the floating country. "Only once in a lifetime." You try to see through the smoke.

"I hope you like the view Romanoff. It's about to get better." Fury says through the coms as the helicarrier emerges up from the clouds and smoke. "Nice right? Pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty but she'll do."

"Fury you son of a bitch." You and Steve say as you looked in awe at the flying ship. "Oh, you two kiss your mother with that mouth?"

"I wouldn't really call her my mother, but yes I do kiss her with my mouth." You grinned as mask closed again ready for the second wave. Nat didn't know you were in a relatiowith someone only till a few weeks ago.

You were searching up on new technology to improve you and you brothers suits. Recently discovering about Nanotechnology, after days of research you've only managed to create a protoype for only the helmet.

You heard the door knock and said out a come in. "Hey, Y/N have you seen Bruce?" Natasha came in as you still had on the mask thst only reached the bottom of your neck.

"No sorry, haven't seen him since like an hour ago. Maybe he's in his room I guess." You shrugged as the mask slowly disappeared like it was dissolving from your face.

"Whoah how'd you do that you fuckin wizard or something." Nat looked at you surprised. "Cool right?" You grinned at her as you put the tech on a mannequin.

"I'll go find him, sorry to bother you." She smiled a little. "Yeah no problem." You focused on the computer. She was nearly out of the room when she noticed a bruise on the side of your neck.

Once you turned around a little it showed more purple and red spots on your neck. "Y/N.." She trailed as you looked up at her. "Yeah?"

"What happened to." She motioned to her neck and you looked at her in confusion. "Huh? Why? Is there something wrong?" You asked still confused.

"Look at the mirror." Her tone laced with a hint of jealously. "I don't what's- Oh!" You cut off your own sentence when you saw you reflection in the mirror. Red and purple marks scattered on your neck.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry you had to see that!" Shrieking you activated the mask again hide them and your embarrassed face.

You hit your head on palm of your habd a few times chanting to yourself that you were stupid to not notice. "Look, it's ok, I've seen worse. Do you want me to help you with it?" Nat brushed of the feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"No no, I don't want to take away more time from you. I can just cover this up with some make up." The front of the mask opened as you had a sorry smile for her. But Natasha wanted to stay longer, she wanted to stay with you.

"Ok just, just call me if you need anything." She said as you let out a final apology and a thank you. "F.R.I.D.A.Y, please call Agent Hill immediately please." You command the A.I thingking that the ex russian spy was gone.

"What is it Stark? Somethibg happened?" Maria said from the other line. Natasha hid behind a wall to eavesdrop, yes it was wrong, but she just wanted an answer to her question.

"Don't Stark me Hill, you know what exactly happened." You spat before sending a photo to her. "I can't believe you didn't tell me before I left!" You sighed running a hand through your hair.

Natasha left not needing and not wanting to hear your conversation. She only asked for Bruce to have an excuse to see you.

Now she's left to go to the gym to blow off some steam and to avoid her heart from shattering entirely.

"I think I know who you're talking about. You two together the whole night at the party right?" Clint said as he smirked at you as you flew past him.

"You're seeing someone and you didn't tell me? I feel betrayed- I am betrayed." Tony sounded genuinely upset over the fact that Clint new and not him.

"We agreed not to tell anyone, and that anyone including you brother." You said matter of factly.

You saw Clint rushing behind a rock with a little boy trying to get to cover from the iron legion who were about to rain bullets on them.

Also noticing a blue and silver trail speeding towards them, you land right infront of Pietro and Clint shielding the three from the bullets, after they were done it was your turn to start beaming at them.

"What you didn't see that coming?" Opening the front of your mask to smirk at Pietro who looked at you like you were crazy.

"After this Fury, I'm gonna take a break. I've seen enough robots for the year. Person I am seeing you owe me a date." You say taking down a few more robots.

After the battle with Ultron, the civilians were given the help that they needed. "Having fun staring at the wall? It's an interesting wall don't get me wrong." You smiled as you walked towards Natasha.

"What'd you call me for? You need help finding Bruce again?" You asl as she shook her head turning to fully look at you.

"Not really, I just wanted to tell you something." Nat looked nervous which surprised you for the very first time. "It's about you."

"I know you can't, that's why I'm telling you this to let it out of my chest." Sadness was evident in her tone but she had to accept the fact the you can't love her back.

"I'll go beat up Hill if she hurts you." Nat joked as you pushed her shouler lightly. "We still friends?" You mumble as you pulled her to a hug.

She reciprocated by wrapping her arms around you. "Always." She said against your shoulder. "I better not find you downing a bottle of vodka later." You threatened as she just chuckled.

YES TO ALL OF THIS!!! YES ABSOLUTELY YES!! The mortifying ordeal of being known... the idea of letting somebody into your head and literally knowing the inner most mechanisms of your mind, body, and soul... it's so tender; it's so fucking GOOD!! OKAY here me out for some options below

Okay, here me out: Kenny and Levi who, despite their unconventional uncle-nephew relationship, are just about the best pair of co-pilots anyone has ever seen (bc you know, shared trauma brings a family together). Until Kenny is killed on a mission, and Levi has to find a new co-pilot. Cue oc, Levi's childhood best friend, a talented engineer, and Hange's right hand woman. Hange suspects oc and Levi would be pretty compatible, maybe even with a higher compatibility than Kenny; except, oc has no plans to be a pilot, and Levi wouldn't want to do a drift with her anyways, because that would mean letting her into his mind, and, subsequently, letting her know that he's in love with her.

Or, alternatively, oc just happens to be a new recruit who is talented, and drift compatible with Levi, and become good friends through their training. Over time, it's Levi who realizes that he feels something for her outside of the drift, and finds himself drawn to her and picking up on little habits and preferences. It's too bad she's already engaged to one of Levi's closest friends.

Or, Eren's family spearheaded the Jaeger robots and obviously receive government funding to engineer them and keep them going. The whole family is pretty impressive; tho it damaged her, Carla was the first woman to solo pilot a Jaeger and saved an entire country, Gr*sha is the head engineer, and Zeke and Eren are pretty damn good co-pilots. But some other nations have suspected that Gr*sha has been making faulty Jaegers for them, and making the best ones for his home country; and oc is the person sent to by one of these nations spy/steal the blueprints/maybe even kill the Jaeger family, and ofc she somehow meets Eren and falls in love in the process.

OR scientist coconut boy and oc who were childhood friends, and who both shared a common interest in deep sea creatures. She's really interested in the kaiju themselves and has her own theories about where the come from and their overall biology, that would sound crazy to any government official, but Armin believes her wholeheartedly. However, having nearly been killed in an attack, oc grows apart from her love of the ocean and the animals; so while Armin goes on the study and aid the Jaeger program, she finds a new hobby, far away from the kaiju. When it comes time to try and close the breech, all the scientists, Armin included, are stumped and there's a few puzzle pieces they can't quite solve, but Armin remembers oc's theory, and he knows that she's about the only person in the world who could help save them right now, so obviouslyyy he has to go and find her and bring her back and ask for her help and you get it.

Okay one more because I love Jean. He and Marco are pilots, and oc is actually Marco's girlfriend; she's a civilian, and lives in their hometown. Except, in their most recent drift, Jean and Marco have been having some difficulties; Marco isn't letting him in as much, and when he finally does, Jean sees that Marco's been hiding that he's been cheating/cheated on oc. Jean is upset with him, but hardly has time to reprimand him or talk it out fully because Marco dies on their next mission. Enter oc, who joins the Jaeger program to avenge the death of her boyfriend, which wouldn't be an issue, if she weren't drift compatible with Jean, the only person in the world who knows what Marco did wrong.

As you can tell, I have many thoughts about this. I am obsessed with this movie. Very much. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Saika gulped at her threat and went to her room. She heard a small sound come from her phone. It was Aori. She actually was relieved because she needed him most at the time.

Saika giggled at Aori's comment and turned off her phone. She fell asleep later and all she saw in her dreams was Kinako and her together.

When Saika woke, she was upset her dream wasn't real and was happy about the dream at the same time. She walked, back straight and not slouched, to the kitchen to see a note.

Saika just rolled her eyes and was excited to have the house to herself. First thing, she called Aori. They spent a bunch of time together talking about their love lives. After a while, they went to the park where they became friends and once again, Kinako and Saika encountered each other again.

"Oh! Saika-chan!" Kinako called out.

"S-Saika-chan?" Saika whispered.

"It's just my little nickname for you!"

Saika got flustered a bit too much and Kinako blushed a bit by Saika's reaction.

"Oh um..." Aori said, "I am TOOOOOTALLY gonna be late for the thing I had to do!"

He nudged Saika a bit and Saika gave him a look that said 'DON'T. YOU. DARE.' He snickered and ran back down the path they came from and Saika and Kinako were left alone. Saika sat down next to Kinako on the bench Kinako was on.

"What do you want to do now, Saika-chan?" Kinako asked beaming.

'Her smile is so adorable! Her lips looks very soft too... Wait! What am I thinking! She might not like me back either...' Saika thought.

"Would you like some ice-cream?" Saika asked, "I can pay."

Kinako's eyes sparkled when ice cream was suggested. She grabbed Saika's hand and ran to an ice-cream store. Saika was now very flustered. When the two reached the store, Saika ordered a chocolate ice-cream cone and Kinako bought... 3 different ice-creams. TUBS of ice-cream.

Kinako ate one whole tub before Saika even finished her ice-cream. Saika was shocked by her. She also found it cute, too!

"How are your teeth not sensitive?" Saika asked.

"I don't know." Kinako replied feeling a bit shy, "It probably runs in my family because we all don't have sensitive teeth."

Kinako picked up her spoon again and got a small bit of mango flavoured ice-cream and put it in Saika's face.

"Try some!"

Saika's eyes widened and saw that Kinako was really desperate for her to try it. Saika opened her mouth and ate the ice-cream. 'This is amazing!' Saika thought to herself. Based on her expression, Kinako knew she loved it. After a while of hanging out with each other, they both swapped numbers and left. And out of nowhere just before Saika was leaving, she heard a small rustle. She turned around and something came out of a bush swiftly.

"EEEEEAHHHHH!" Saika screamed.

"Lady! It's just me!" Aori quickly cried.

Saika started to playfully hit Aori and had a chuckled response.

"Ehehe.. I have some photos to add to my collection board of Sainako!" Aori continued.

"Sainako? What's Sainako? And can I see the photos?" Saika questioned.

When Aori showed her the photoes he took, Saika's eyes turned into white circles.

"Eh..... EHHHHHH?!?!?!?!?!"

Pictures of Saika and Kinako were in front of her. Picture after picture was them together.

A/N: This chapter took me way longer than I thought it would since I tried a new writing style, I really hope it comes across better than the last chapters and I hope you guys like it as much as I do.

As I start to wake up I feel the heaviness of my quilt blanket over me, the warmth a pleasant contrast to the chill air in my room from the window I was to tired to close last night. I feel the bruises on my wrist from last night as I reach up to rub the sleep from my eyes. I look over to my bedside table and see the time, it reads 7:24 a.m. I’m shocked by the fact that I’m not as tired as I thought considering we got back at 3 in the morning and that I got up a few times in the night. I get up and walk to my drawers where all my clothes lay, I change out of the large night shirt I slept in that I’m almost positive is Roy’s, and slip on a black tank top with some jeans and a sweatshirt that I got last week. I look out my window when I hear movement finding it was nothing but a bird looking in, I walk over to the window and shut it so the bird can’t get in even though there’s a screen and shut the blinds once again. I wince when I bend down to grab my suit off the floor, as last night I was way to tired to even bother putting it away properly. Last night was a bit of a rougher night, it was supposed to be just a grab intel and head out, but there was some watch men that we hadn’t accounted for and one hit me in the ribs. I swear Jason was gonna have a heart attack and die again when we got back and he saw how bad the bruise forming. I go out of the room and see Jason in the kitchen with presumably eggs on the pan. “Hey ange, sleep well last night?” “Sure if you count waking up 3 times to go pee then sure I did jay jay” I say with a chuckle “you’d think you’d stop drinking an entire bottle of water right before bed then Huh” he says with a raised eyebrow and a smirk as he sets a plate of eggs and toast in front of me. “So how is it being out on patrol?” “It’s alright, unless you count the football size bruises then those are just peachy!” I saw with sarcasm “I think you enjoy it more than you let on ange” “and you assume that why?” “You seem to enjoy yourself when the little batdemon is around” “I do not! He’s got a large stick up his ass and acts like someone pissed in his cereal every morning.” “Then why the snarky comments and the jokes towards him?” “I never said it wasn’t funny to watch him have a meltdown when I do. Only time he’s entertaining.” “Alrighty then, keep telling yourself that little one” he says with a wink, I finish the last piece of my toast and get up to the sink. “Hey do you mind if I go for a jog to the park?” “How old are you?” “I’m 18?” “You’re an adult, you don’t have to ask me to go for a run, you’re capable to defend yourself, can you just do me a favor and pick up more milk on the way back, Roy keeps bitching that we run out so often” “aye aye Capitan!” I say as I head out the door, before I shut it I hear Jason’s laugh Ecco across the apartment. I start my walk to the park that’s 3 blocks away and plug in my headphones to play some music.

Time skip

I get to the park and see plenty of people raging from small children running around to elderly couples on a bench. I get to a large tree and start my jog around the spacious park, when I’ve finished my second lap around I see a large dog running beside me, it looks to be a Great Dane. I stop my run and crouch down to pet the large dog and he starts panting happily as I rub behind his ears “hi pretty baby and who might you be?” I coo at it as he site down with his tongue hanging from his mouth “awwee aren’t you the cutest thing in the world! You’re just a big ole baby who loves the scritches, oohhh the wonderful scritches!” “Titus!” I hear a voice yell behind me. I turn towards it and see a guy that’s presumably around my age with a large frame, jet black hair with a tan complexion. “Oh is this your dog?” I ask “yes, I don’t understand why he’d run off like that especially to a complete stranger.” There’s a time of Arrogance to his voice. “He’s a beautiful dog” he looks at me with a raised eyebrow and a small smirk, “thank you, we have to get going I have a meeting to attend in 30 minutes.” We both stand up and I put my hand out. “Okay then. Have a good day sir” he takes a hold of my hand with a firm but not crushing grip “My name is Damian, Damian Wayne.” “Nice to meet you, Most people call me ange.” Him and Titus start to walk away but but he turns to take one last look at me. As he walks away I can’t help but feel like I know him from somewhere, I don’t dwell on it as I run one more lap around the park before I decide to head to the store to pick up some groceries.

As I’m walking up the stairs to our apartment i hear Jason and Roy talking through the door. “I’m heading out to go check out that new bar downtown after I go see a friend, Apparently the owner is a new mob leader and they’re smuggling stuff in the back.” “You’d think that for the job we have you guys would keep your voices down a bit” I saw when I walk in. “Well we’ve got old lady Ethel who’s hearing aid broke in the 90s, and the Christian couple down the hall who blasts Christmas music in July.” “Who knows Ethel could be a spy.” I say with a wink. “Always so worried little one” as Roy is leaving he ruffles my hair with a chuckle and I attempt to smooth it back down. “And how was your run?” “Pretty good, I picked up the milk and got more bread too.” “Thank god cause Roy was pissy when he got up cause god forbid he couldn’t make cereal.” “I swear he complains more than an old lady sometimes” I laugh. “So what did you do besides running?” “Oh we getting to the Interrogating side of parenting?” “No I’m just curious is all.” “Well I met this guy with his dog, he seemed nice.” “Ohh and who’s the guys name?” “I don’t need to tell you everything you know, I’m a fully grown adult now. Besides I’ll probably never see him again.” I say jokingly as I plop a marshmallow in my mouth. “Alright then, I totally won’t do a background check and find out who he is though.” He says with a wink. “Good luck there jay.” I walk into my room and grab my suit to go wash it for tonight.

Time skip to that night

As we walk down the hallway the lights grow dimmer until the only source of light in the room is from the moon coming in from the brown windows. The air wreaked of old water pipes decaying along with a heavy smell of just an old building. We hear little to nothing in the rotting building that is housing one of the largest shipment of crack and heroin in the city. As I look around I see old pipes that are falling apart and Machinery that looks to have been broken for decades, dust collected around majority of them. We near a room that has 2 large garage like doors, when we near we hear what sounds to be grunting from the room, Jason and I raising our guns as we approach the room. When we get it we see men on the ground and obviously unconscious, as they appear to be breathing still. “We got it from here.” We hear from the corner as Batman approaches us. “Looks like there’s no killing for either one of you tonight.” I look over and see robin beside Batman with a proud shit eating smirk. “Keep talking like that and I’ll have 1.” “Oh really you think you could kill me?” “I mean I am the one with the gun. And you’ve got a Sword that looks like it came from party city.” “Why you little-“ “ROBIN!” Batman grabs him before he could get to me. “Awe does batsy neee to hold you down when you throw a temper tantrum little one?” Robin frees from Batman and grabs ahold of me and slams me into the wall behind me “I will fucking end you if you don’t shut up!” He says as he grabs a hold of my neck. “Ooo second time you’ve tried chocking me, I knew you liked it kinky” his face flashes from anger to disgust and his grip loosens, I take my gun and slam it on the side of his head and kick him back and slam him to the wall and put my gun to his face “try that again and I’ll fill you with so much led that your own family won’t Recognize who you are.” I walk away from him. As Jason and I leave and get on his bike he takes a look at me “what was that all about?” “He’s fucking insufferable.” “You’ve got no idea.”
