I know we've seen bits and pieces of Ana's life as a kraang but what about her before turning into a kraang? Like what's her family situation? Does she has siblings? Neighbours she's closed with?
Had she ever went on adventures like April with the turtles? If ana & April were in the same school, did she met draxum as the lunch lady? How did she felt about him then? When casey JR met Ana from the past what did he felt about her?
And did how did Ana helped in the movie where the hamatos were fighting back? After the movie, was she hurt or helped taking care of the turtles?
Sorry for asking too much it's just sometimes am getting this burst of energy to ask questions about your AU 🙏🏼
Nah, it's okay, you're good ~ So, I've been having some ideas on Ana before she was kraangified, and maybe some of the details are my projection, but there's other character's I've been inspired with.
This post turned out to be long, so, yeah... But if you have any more questions, I'm like, totally ready to answer.
I'll go with more simple questions first:
Adventures with the turtles:
I had an idea that maybe it was Leo who was dragging her out on adventures. I thought of a different scenario with that episode when Leo accidentally teleported others somewhere, but before going to Hueso he would go to Ana and drag her out just not to be alone in this.
Ana and Draxum:
I never actually thought about Ana meeting Draxum, but now I kinda imagine there would be a joke about how Ana sneaks up on people unintentionally, especially Draxum because he thought she was unremarkable and he wasn't really paying much attention to her, and he would go like "Were you standing here this whole time?".
Ana and Casey Jr.:
With the story I have in my head, Ana and Leo were reunited after or not long before Cassandra died, so Ana became someone like a mother figure to Casey Jr, and considering Ana died in the future not long before the events of the movie, I feel like Casey would try to suppress his emotions towards her, and definitely would try to hide the details of what happened to Ana in the bad future timeline. But he would definitely be happy to see her, and if going with the movie, in the end he would finally let himself relax around her, knowing she'll be alright, alive and not kraangified, embracing her for the first time since he got into the past.
Ana during the events of the movie:
So, I think this would be strongly connected to the end of the season 2, because I had this idea that Ana, unlike April, didn't have much strength to fight, so Leo left her with Tod while him, April and others went to fight Shredder. This made Ana felt useless and helpless. During the movie, I thought that she would be helping people in the city. She was unable to fight the Kraang, but she tried to help people by leading them away from the war zone. I'm not sure what big moment to add here, but at the time I think that aside from bruises and small cuts she was okay, and, yes, was definitely helping the turtles to heal. Maybe even in the end of the movie it would be her and Leo's moment, when she would tell him about how useless she felt and how scared she was when Leo almost got trapped in the prison dimension, and he would reassure her that she did an amazing job by helping people in the city. And about him almost being gone, I think this would actually be their big moment when he would openly tell her he loves her. Like, before he didn't tell her this like that, but after almost, well, dying, he wouldn't want to waste a single moment with her.
Okay, now to Ana and her family:
At first I thought of Ana being just a normal, shy girl with a normal family, but, uuuh, I also thought it's kinda boring and lacks some depth, so, here's some of my ideas.
I never saw her having any siblings, so, she's the only child.
Her situation in her family is not as ideal as it could be. I didn't want to go with this cliche of one of her parents being dead, so they were both alive, but mostly they lived together more like neighbors rather than a family. I also thought of Ana feeling kinda like a burden to her family. She's calm, shy and quiet girl, doesn't have any special talents or big ambitions rather than taking photos (yeah, I've decided she liked to take pictures).
After watching Dungeon Meshi and seeing this moment with Falin eating alone, I kinda took it as an inspiration for Ana's backstory. But in Ana's case it's more close to something like with Hanekawa from Monogatari series.
If you know Hanekawa's story, you know the vibe/the idea. Ana and Kraang-chan are like Hanekawa and Black Hanekawa.
With Ana it's not as bad as it was for Hanekawa, there was no abuse or anything, but some ideas of her usually wearing a facade to appear to be someone who she isn't is present. With Ana she's more suppressing her emotions, even to the point she's ashamed of them. She feels lonely and detached from others but tries to make it look like she's fine with it, but there are still moments when her frustration is too much to handle, but even then she didn't ask for help, but more took it on herself.
I redrew a moment from The Boy and the Heron.
Oh boy, I hope I didn't miss anything.

How can anyone honestly believe Cressida changed???
Sorry, but I do not buy the whole "my dad is mean and my mom pressures me so much and society puts me against women. so that's why I have been the biggest bitch for the last three years."
And it's very telling how some people are ready to forgive her, but they treat Pen as if she murdered someone and is beyond redemption.
May I remind you that Cressida was one of the people who judged Eloise and called her a "radical ruffian" after LW published her column about her.
Are we to believe that weeks later, she had an epiphany and decided to be kind to Eloise? No! She noticed the rift between Pen and Eloise and decided to go after El. She gets a Bton connection and leaves Pen alone and defenseless. Cressida has a direct beef with Pen, like all bullies she has a fixation against one person.
What's interesting is that despite their supposed tight friendship, El hasn't invited Cressida to have tea with the family every Sunday. It's like El knows that this is not a real friendship and Cressida will never replace Pen or at least whatever they have is not even close to what she had with Pen (I realize that this sounds like I'm talking about a romantic relationship, but so what, they're the second love story of s3). Also, the fact that the rest of the family hates Cressida doesn't help this relationship.
In 3x01 she bullied Pen TWICE. If El hadn't distracted her, Cressida would have said something mean to Pen. In fact, that's why El called her because she knew she was going to bully Pen. Then, obviously, during the ball, even El apologized to her.
Even in this gif below, and any other time, El looks embarrassed and regretful to be with Cressida. She is miserable and deep down (or maybe not so deep), she knows what she is doing is wrong.
I'm convinced that the only reason why Cressida did not spread Pen and Colin's deal was because El had already called her out on her bullying in ep1. When El tells her that Pen may have a chance with Debling, she laughs! Why Cressida, why is it so far-fetched that Pen may attract the attention of a wealthy lord?
Oh, but my favorite is when Cressida said she tried to befriend El in s2. Like hell she did! First, she mocked her when it seemed El had screwed up her meeting with the Queen. But when El charmed the Queen (ten seconds later), suddenly she's offering her "a spot "an opening" in her circle, as if friendship with her was a selected club where only the worthy ones had access (Blair Waldorf who? And yes, it's an insult).
Cressida also complains about her lack of proposals as if she were a poor debutante who never got the chance to attract a suitor. The reality is that as the beautiful and popular single daughter of a lord, Cressida could have gotten married quickly. She didn't because even the horrible men of the ton could not stand her. Madame Delacroix said it in s1:
But to me, the biggest clue that she is still the ton's biggest bitch is her promo video. This last bit tells me that she's still the same.
Now, I'll be discussing spoilers for episodes 5 and 6 (because there's no way to avoid them unless you go offline). So, if you don't want to know, stop reading.
I will also be discussing potential spoilers that relate to s4.
You're reading this at your own risk!
So according to the ss that I've seen of ep 5 and 6 and the teaser, they are following the storyline from RMB where Cressida lies and tells everyone she is LW. In the book Lady D offers a reward, in the show, it will be the Queen. We know that Lord Cowper is practicing some economic violence by restricting Lady Cowper and Cressida's allowance until C marries someone wealthy. 5000 pounds is a huge amount of money in Regency England, so C will want it, plus all the attention from it. I don't know much else because I did not watch the recap videos. But this shows she's still an awful person.
Onto Benophie rumors.
Ready?
It is widely believed that the Cowpers are Sophie's family. Why? Because Lady Cowper's given name is Araminta. There were also mentions in s2 that Lady Cowper stole a servant from another house, something the Araminta of AOFAG did. That and a few comments on ig posts that mention Sophie were liked by the actresses. I'm very confident with this theory, especially with the amount of screen time the Cowpers have this season, including their domestic life. I'm sure Sophie is there working as a maid. I don't know if she is Lord Cowper's illegitimate daughter, but somehow she ended up there.
Behind the scenes, this is a recurring change adaptations use to economize in characters. The Cowpers and the Gunningworths can blend into one easily. Plus, imo, the Featheringtons already give the evil step-sisters vibe that would seem repetitive to people who haven't watched the show. They would seem to be mere replacements for the Featheringtons after they leave the show in s3.
If so, then Cressida fits the Rosamund character perfectly. Both are ultra-mean women, both spinsters, both capable of being cruel to someone like Sophie.
What about Posy? Here's where things get complicated, some believe that Cressida's redemption arc will make her a combination of Rosamund AND Posy. I think that is an absurd idea since as this post argues, there's no such redemption arc. Posy is a beautiful character who suffered domestic abuse from the very people who should have loved her. And I do not trust anyone who villanizes her for not speaking up earlier. She was the bravest person in the book for stepping up and defending Sophie, even at the risk of suffering Araminta's wrath. If Violet hadn't adopted her, who knows what would have happened to her.
I'm open to changing my mind after watching part 2, but right now, I would rather lose Posy completely in the show than give Cressida traits of her personality. Let her live in the books with her vicar! If Sophie has to lose her sole source of kindness in her house (aside from the servants), like Pen lost Felicity, then so be it.
ONE LAST THING: IF YOU HAVE MORE DETAILED SPOILERS, DO NOT SHARE THEM HERE, PLEASE!!!!! I DON'T WANT TO KNOW ANY MORE OF THE SEASON UNTIL I WATCHED IT ON JUNE 13TH. DON'T MESSAGE ME OR REPLY WITH SPOILERS.
WHOEVER SHARES MORE SPOILERS HERE WILL BE BLOCKED AND YOUR REPLY DELETED

✎ Commentary of Ep 7 ~ The Loyal Pin (Thai GL-2024) - Part 2
In life I only aspire to be as forward and well-spoken as Pin. Such a classy lady! Very demure, very lady like of her to reject this man for the nth time being this polite and calm! (Could never be me!) I love her so much, it was so nice to hear and read this, and to witness! You tell him queen!
Anil might be a princess but she bag herself a ✨queen 💅🏼✨
Let’s continue with this episode!
THE AUDACITY OF THIS MAN???
Pin was flabbergasted, gagged, confused is an understatement. And so was I.
Exactly! I made that exact same face Prik! The audacity of this man!
No. She will never love you. Leave 👏🏼 her 👏🏼 alone 👏🏼 Don’t even get me started on the starting a family part. Move! Remove yourself from my sight as well!
“Please kindly remove yourself from my sight and never return”
GODDAMN!! That’s the most polite go fuck yourself I’ve ever seen. That must’ve hurt. Serves him right tho! When is he gonna learn???
Wish I could say he finally understood, but from spoilers of furthers episodes and the trailer itself I guess the fuck not. The man is insufferable!
Not Pin complaining to Anil’s most loyal supporter and calling Anil, Prik’s Princess when she’s mad at her little girlfriend for not writing her more letters hahaha
And Prik getting right back at her with that comment of haven’t she won both your heart and your… and Pin panicking right there and then ahaha please they’re so funny.
As a side note I must add Freen’s deep voice (when Pin snap at Prik) still hunts me at nights 🥴
THE LETTERS!!!
I might die alone and single after this! Cuz what do you mean this level of romance doesn’t exist anymore???? The softness, the yearning, the handwritten poetry???
Why is it always “I like you. You’re good” and never “Please accept the caresses of my lips on your left cheek, right cheek and your forehead” Why????
How am I supposed to settle down for less than this Emily Dickinson level of poetry??? 😭😭😭
She’s fighting destiny, deadass throwing fits at morpheus for not allowing her dream about her amorcito. My little Princess is so cute 😭😭
A year has passed already! We’re moving fast!
THE GIFTS!! Love all the precious gift they gave each other, they were so meaningful! You could see they absolutely love them.
We know how much Pin loves collecting small little souvenirs from her princess so I can only imagine how much she appreciates the gifts Anil so thoughtfully gave her. She had them made! The Princess is not joke!
“All I want is for you to return to my arms” Nevermind! She doesn’t want gift she just wants her girl back in her arms!!! 😭😭😭
We have one more year to go, be strong sweeties. We can do it!
Oh, she goes to her room every day. Every. Single. Day! Oh to be loved like that!
Such a beautiful scene, them laying down in the bed facing each other as the intertwine their fingers. It’s all in Pin’s head but it’s just so lovely!
And then that little hugging scene where Anil imagine Pin warming her up with the scarf she made herself for her. Ahhh it’s all just pure love and romance! Love it so much 🫶🏻
Then we have another sequence where Pin tells Anil about her new job as a translator and isn’t it amazing how much they’ve grown?!
We also have another small time jump and we see Pin complaining to Prik again about the lack of letters from Anil. Prik tries to reassure her it’s probably because the princess is too busy finishing school and she’s not far off the truth.
Pin goes on which I guess is her daily walk visit to the Pine Palace and she misses her princess so bad she starts hallucinating her there. (Pin, sweetie 🥺)
But guess what? Pin hallucinated so strong that she actually brought Anil back!
The Princess is right there behind her and I can’t wait to see Pin lose her lady like marbles! Hahaha
.
.
.
.
Another great episode. I love this show so much <3 I’m still catching up (sadly not fast enough) But I’ve watched till ep8, so that commentary should be posted soon. Here’s Part 1

Good morning! (Well, at my place) I've just read your take on fandom, and while I'm personally avoiding most of the cast interviews and stuff, I see your point. I'm just afraid that's too much a voice of reason. Something spread all over the world today, facts do not matter very much. And people really forget that fandom is fun. Anyway, would love to see more of those posts :)
I too usually avoid interviews and stuff, I'm mostly in it for the excuse to unite my love for aviation, disaster documentaries and gay stuff. I'm sure you've stumbled across fandom discourse before and asked yourself "are we watching the same show?" Well, I saw a post about one of the actors "confirming a character's sexual orientation" and I was just wondering if we were reading the same words.
I've seen media literacy, canon vs fanon being brought up numerous times for the last 2 months, but I think I've finally found the right words to describe my gripes with the fandom: the confusion of implication and interpretation.
Maddie pulling Chimney out of the frame in that hotel room then ending up pregnant a few episodes later, implication, it's not the network or the show for explicit sex scenes. Buck making a dirty face while saying the ring cutter was for "other stuff", well what other stuff can you think of? Hen and Chimney hanging out with Tommy at the bar in Bobby Begins Again, would Hen and Chimney knowingly become friends with someone who was still racist and misogynist that they had a problem with? These are all hardly refutable facts that just weren't shown explicitly on screen for whatever reasons.
A male character being emotionally repressed and having trouble dating women on the other hand, could be because he is attracted to men without knowing it, but it also could be due to all sorts of reasons like childhood trauma, religious trauma, trauma from the battlefield, unprocessed grief from on-and-off ex-wife suddenly dying in an accident so any sort of closure is no longer possible etc. Another male character looking after a good kid when his father is trying his best to juggle between raising him and being a first responder, could be because he is romantically interested in said single father and wants to become part of a traditional type of nuclear family unit with the kid, but it also could be just him being kind and empathetic, as he himself grew up with emotionally neglectful and absent parents. You can interpret these things all sorts of ways based on your personal experience, but the show itself doesn't tell you how to frame it, nor does it limits you. Though at the end of the day, other people may interpret the same piece of media in different ways, and that includes the showrunner, the writers and even the actors themselves.
And then there's conflating interpretation with irrefutable explicit fact, like I demonstrated in some of my posts. Like the moment after 7x10 came out, the whole fandom was enshrouded by debates over daddy kink. One side painted Tommy as a sexual predator who exploited Buck's moment of vulnerability to satisfy his own kinks (again, Buck started the daddy thing), the other side defended the rights for gay men to explore sexually whenever they like. Yes, the I know daddy kink is very common among the gay community, but the concept itself has become so mainstream the past few years (I blame Pedro Pascal) that it now vaguely means "an older man who is hot".
After a few weeks of thinking I'm crazy and I lack verbal and reading comprehensions, I finally read the source material behind most of the controversies, and I got things completely different from the mainstream discourse out there? I've never seen anyone from the production of the show explicitly stating or even imply a certain ship would come true? At most, they respect and validate fans' own interpretations of the story, that's it. It doesn't necessarily mean they agree with said interpretation, and it certainly does not invalidate other possibilities.
So here we are, some fans feel betrayed even though they were never promised anything. Other fans get nervous over stuff that is actually just an interpretation of a cast member's interview, which in itself is also an interpretation of their own character, but tutted as absolute fact by some.
Enjoying a piece of media is supposed to be about enjoyment, not like a part-time job, so enjoy the parts you like and ignore the rest. But if you want to participate in the fandom, and you feel anxious anytime there's rumors brewing, tracking down the source might actually bring you more peace.
#ask answered#sorry for using your ask to rant#911 fandom discourse#bucktommy#tommy kinard#it's technically about other characters but i'm not tagging them#you're my target audience#and i'm a coward

Pit Babe episode 4 rewatch/live commentary (part 1)
Never mind it's been 20 minutes. And it's currently 23h30. I wonder what time it's gonna be when a finish part 1 ???
Kim being so done
I kinda like how Winner say "my team" instead of "I"
Nah that gross. And Way choked face is priceless
Alan look like a overworked dab being tired by his unruly kid antic
Let's go tension
Dean wearing all black when the others are all wearing some kind of blue
Just TALK to him !
Charlie reassuring him about the next race...the vulnerability in Babe eyes....
Answer him, i beg you Babe
Once again, get lost Way! 2 Point to Alan for his perspicacity. Minus 5 for having this conversation while Jeff is eavesdropping on them
et coucou !
Hello sir?! Ever heard of CONSENT ?????
No but how many time did Babe get gropped without his consent because of his "reputation"?
oh Babe 😟
Yep definitely Tony's son ; pimping up boys to his best friend....
Never mind, in this episode Way getting the award of the most pathetic man (sorry Winner)
In an alternate universe, that scene would've been really cute (Babygirl 1 looking out for babygirl 2 love life)
And Way has to ruin it ! And Charlie "influencing" Babe ? That rich coming from him.
Mais vas y, enlevé ta mains pleine de doigts là !
No, no it's not
Thank you Babe for your honesty
Babies !
Babe being so happy
That not really a fun joke to make Babe. Poor Way (in another universe, this wold have been his evil origin story)
"the egg yolk is here"...Babe was so cute, i'm crying
Way is a fool for thinking that what's between him and Babe is not already one of the most precious thing in life
Not that i'm agreeing with Way, but i get it
Charlie, you're really cute but don't...don't do that
Good guess captain obvious
No Babe
Babe ?
Not Babe
Instead we got soft Jeff being an adorable little gremlins
I find it really fitting that Babe has a revisited version of the 3 monkey in his bed room (🙉🙊🙈) because they've seen, heard and could tell us a lot about what happened in here
Now this scene remind me off something, i wonder what ??? (spoiler -> episode 5 and 13)
Charlie just puts himself between Babe and any harm that could befall on him.
And then Babe...he's so worried and....then ....🥺
I can only imagine how badly Jeff wanted to go to his big brother, to make sure that he was okay, but couldn't. Nothing worse than seeing a loved one being hurt and being unable to do a single thing.
Hiiii Dean !!!! you're cute 🤗
Please tell me they didn't do anything in the locker room
The look on Kim face when Winner appear
Look at them
Family portrait (if you know, you know)
🥹
Hi Kenta! Will i do love seeing you in really tight t-shirt/turtleneck, that black shirt is on another level
That a nasty bruise
Imagine the potential of those 4 together (in what capacity ? feel free to let your imagination go wild...or not)
He was so hopeful
Also i need to know how this went
oh wow, it's 01h45 (1.45 am).....next part later today !!!

Willow Month 2023- Day 3: TV Show (Full Series/Specific Episode) or Movie
If you read my entry for Day one, you'll know I went into the show without seeing the movie. In fact, I actually made a point to wait to watch it until the finale, because it was a rare opportunity where I could watch one of these years later follow ups without nostalgia for the original (unlike, say, Star Wars), so I wanted to see if it worked on its own.
The fact I'm writing this should tell you, I truly believe it does. Now, I don't want this to come off like I don't like the movie, because that is not the case. I love the movie! I'm wearing a Sorsha and Mads shirt as I write this! But I would still love the show just as much without the movie.
Some hard numbers may make my point. I have watched the movie once, and while I often think about watching it again, I haven't yet. By contrast, I have watched the full series 13 times through at this point, and at least 8 of those times were marathon sessions where I went from episodes 1-8 in a single sitting.
Why is that? Well, I think the movie is missing some key ingredients that keep it from hitting that obsession level. Namely, Kit, Jade, (grown up) Elora... ok it's the entire crew. Their interplay, the way their relationships build over the course of the season, and the way that by the end of the finale every single one of them has been improved by the others being present in their lives.
The party of six, all with their beautiful, layered arcs and emotional storylines, they're the ones that make the show something special. I've said in the past that typically in shows with ensemble casts, there's usually at least one character that I find annoying, or one actor that I don't like for one reason or another. That's another thing that makes the show so incredible. I love every single person involved. From the main six, rippling out to the supporting cast and cameos like Hannah Waddingham and Christian Slater. Not only does everyone understand the assignment, they bring their own unique flavor and quirks so nobody feels like they're phoning it in. You can tell everyone is having fun and that translates to the audience.
And while fun is first up on the menu for the show, there's also so many moments of heart-rending drama. As someone who lost their dad at 26, I connect to Kit's feelings of grief and abandonment over the disappearance of her father. I connect with Jade feeling lost and purposeless. I connect with Elora desperately wanting to help despite struggling to believe in herself. I connect with Graydon carrying a lot of guilt over things he had no control over and wanting to prove himself as more than what his father believes he is. I connect with Boorman regretting his selfish choices and wanting to make up for his past mistakes. I even relate to Willow, thrust into a position where he has to be a believer despite feeling like a fraud.
Whether it's due to the run time or the time in which it was made, the movie just can't compete with the variety of character arcs, the layers that get peeled back the more the crew spend time together, the realization how each person has something to learn from the others and how they've grown to rely on each other.
By the time they reach the Immemorial City to fight the Crone, they have grown into one of the best found families I've ever seen. They have each other's backs, they trust each other implicitly, and they're willing to put everything on the line to save the world, sure, but more importantly, save each other and facilitate their rises to greatness.
The dialogue, while not to everyone's taste, I felt was a great choice. It immediately plants a flag on its own territory and says confidently "We are not Game of Thrones. We are not Lord of the Rings. We are our own thing." I love that shit! It is never a show that feels like it's chasing a trend, because it is so uniquely itself. That extends to the music, be it the fantastic score by James Newton Howard and Xander Rodzinski or the fascinating modern song choices deployed in each episode, which while I have opinions about songs I would prefer in different places, I cannot deny that they set the show apart from everything else that has come before. And "Crimson+Clover" by Pom Pom Squad will live in my brain forever thanks to its absolutely pitch perfect use in episode 5.
The fight scenes are fantastic, because they're never there for the sake of having action. Instead, major character beats are woven throughout, making each fight hugely meaningful to everyone involved. Whether it's Willow going from his weakened, nigh magicless state at the start of the show, to being the great sorcerer he was always meant to be thanks to working with Elora, or its Kit and Jade connecting and expressing emotions that words may not be enough for through their shared love language of sword fighting, or Graydon finding the magic within at the moment he needed to and killing one of the Gales pursuing them. Action has a purpose in this story and I love that after so many hollow and emotionless cgi fight scenes we've been inundated with over recent years.
This is why I can't simply choose one favorite episode from the series, because they are so intertwined that I cannot separate them. However, unlike many straight to streaming shows, Willow doesn't just feel like an 8 hour movie chopped into parts (despite my tendency to watch it like one long movie lol). Every episode has a unique identity that I can immediately point to when prompted. Every episode is important to moving both the narrative and character development forward, and there isn't a single one you could cut without everything feeling askew.
So. When I saw this prompt I was like "Maybe I'll make this one short", but we all know now that was going to be impossible. The intense emotional connection I have to this show from front to back just brings this out of me. To the only Fellowship I need in my life. I wouldn't be here without you.
To quote Erin from the making of doc, "These people are my family."

Thess vs TLOVM S3, Ep 2
Right. I've had nap. I've had toast. I'm still tired. But I am going to do another episode of TLOVM, even if I'm being slow about it because new eps don't drop until Thursday and I don't want to spend too long going, "Is it Thursday yet?", even if that is the CR catch-phrase.
"You never bothered to ask." I don't know why that hits me so hard, but it does. Possibly because it highlights how Percy was so blinded by trauma, fear, and anger that he just took what was offered and barely even remembered that it came from somewhere outside, whereas Ripley went into that bargain with her eyes wide open. It definitely highlights that Ripley is not the sort of person whose mercy you want to be at, because she has less of it than "No Mercy Percy" does.
That whole opening just highlights exactly why Taliesin winces every. Single. Fucking time someone in Exandria pulls a gun.
"Believe me; I've tried--" Gilmooooooooooore ... what did you do? If you're trying coquettish winks at the Hand of Ord, it's because you did some shit. ...That or you tried to get one into bed and you're talking about your famous charm falling flat for once, which you would never do, so-- No. No. Focus on the current bisexual disasters running around Marquet.
...OMG. Ripley's a NRA nut. And the picture she's painting is basically the USA right now. ...Which is not a good thing. Because, Ripley, that force you're talking about someone overwhelming? THEY COULD BUY GUNS TOO.
...That was hesitance and I don't like it. But the twins figuring out crime with the ranger/rogue combo is awesome.
Yeah. That was hesitance. J'mon sa Ord is not stupid. Then again, considering who and what J'mon sa Ord is, they couldn't be. I mean, even without certain parts of the what, you don't rule someplace like Ank'harel if you're stupid.
OMG SCANLAN YOU ARE SUCH A DAD. Without the right as yet to make that kind of brag, but ... you're Scanlan.
...Yes, Kaylie. LITERALLY.
Oh, Percival, you'd better have a plan to wreck shit up while no one's looking.
"Asshole even ripped off my font" OMG.
N'awwwwww Vex! Wait. This might be the instead of the huge fight that killed Percy that one time. It makes sense; Percy's grabbed in the place of the help Ripley hired, we don't have the issue about bringing in Kynan or the whole Allura / Kima thing, they still get Cabal's Ruin at the end of it, and...
Wait. In the campaign, the Plate of the Dawnmartyr was already in the Hells. Is Percy about to wreck up Ripley's plans by sending Orthax and the Plate to the Hells?!?
I have to watch the bisexual disaster Scooby-Doo gang if I want to find that out.
This ... is so Grog. And ... this is how GROG gets the intel they need. Okay, I love this.
See, Season 1 Grog felt infantalised. It feels like Grog's characterisation got closer to how Travis originally played him the more involved Travis got in the writing. ...I wonder if that's why he got more involved in the writing. I guess I would, in his shoes; "Fine! I'll write the loveable idiot myself!"
Aaaand that's where that sneak peek comes from. I've seen this.
He tells Kaylie she's his only family ... but he kinda lies. This is going to be problematic.
I FUCKING CALLED IT!
Vex, your heart was in the right place ... unfortunately in this case, possibly, but how the fuck can you do that to Percy again after he was the reason you died the LAST time?!?
Aw, crap.
Oh, good lord, Scanlan. I was kind of hoping you'd have some conscience about your friends getting chased, but he's just hiding from the law?!?
And the little dragon. Perfect.
Keyleeeeeeth ... no. No you're not.
Yeah, you know how bad this looks, guys-- Oh, for fuck's sake, Percy. I mean, I get feeling responsible for making the thing in the first place, but at some point, you have to forgive yourself, not only because sometimes trauma makes you do dumbass things, but also because HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO MAKE RESTITUTION IF YOU'RE-- wait. Transformation what-now?
...Oh, gods, the second-hand embarrassment is strong. But I take it back about the "hiding from the law" thing; he was just ... too torn to be any good to either of the people he wanted to be with at that time.
Ah. Transformation this-now. Oooooooooooh shit. I hope they can undo this shit-- Scanlan?!?
Scanlan, what--? Oh. Even drunk, you can pull out a last-minute clutch move.
.........All that and it was fake Plate?!? Well. That gives us the trip to the Hells, and the big fight with Ripley later to get Cabal's Ruin. Okay!
I think at this point that my only problem with this element of the series is ... well, the thievery. It feels like trying to fanangle an audience with J'mon sa Ord, while not as visually impressive, could still have resulted in an investigation leading to Ripley. Possibly less tension, though ... but there are ways!
Aaaaaaaaaanyway, this is a good place to leave things until Monday - Sunday's way too full of stuff, given D&D Sunday and Silent Hill 2 remake dropping. My D&D group should feel very flattered. I set aside brand new unread @seananmcguire novels for sessions, and I will be setting aside a game I've wanted to play for at least fifteen years for session too. Because I love them and I love our story.

Henry Danger Reader Insert | Captain Man x Reader: SEASON 1
Episode 15: Super Volcano
~The Man Cave~
Ray and (y/n) were sat solemnly at the supercomputer, as Charlotte watched Schwoz make some calculations. The small man was about to explain some horrible news to them all in more detail, but first, they needed Henry to come down in the elevator. The boy screamed on the way down, before stumbling out and into the bright room where his sombre colleagues were waiting.
"Hey, guys, what's the poops?" He said to them in a lighthearted manner, but the look on his bosses' faces made his smile drop.
"We're all gonna die," Ray said to the boy dramatically. He was holding his best friend to his chest, thinking that he only had a few more days to live with her.
"Whaaaat?" Henry asked, the question completely throwing him off.
"You're not gonna die." (y/n) hit his chest lightly, a sad smile on her face, but Ray just clung to her harder, not wanting to waste a single minute.
"You're indestructible." Schwoz reminded him in a serious tone.
"We're all gonna die," Charlotte added in.
"Well, it's still bad for me. Who am I gonna talk to when you're all dead?" The large man cried, the woman in his lap trying to give him some comfort. Who was he gonna have to love when she was gone?
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. What is going on here?" Henry said in bewilderment. He had never seen his boss look so upset, or Schowz without a smile.
"That." The genius said, putting a video of some magma under the Earth's surface on the monitor.
"What is that?" The boy asked, just seeing a load of icky mess on the screen.
"That is a supervolcano, fifty miles below the surface of the earth, right under the town," Ray told him gravely, standing up but still not letting (y/n) go.
"Oh. Hey, you guys think I should get my teeth whitened?" Henry moved offtopic, not understanding the seriousness of the situation.
"Henry!"
"Your teeth?"
"Is this kid serious?"
"Are you crazy?" All his friends protested.
"Two days from now that volcano is going to pop like a big, red-hot throbbing pimple." Schwoz described it to him, making Charlotte grimace at the image.
"Billions of tons of hot lava will spew from the ground and melt everything," Ray said, walking over to the boy with the young woman's hand firmly in his.
"You mean melt all of Swellview?" Henry looked at him with a pale face.
"All of the whole world." The smaller man clarified for him, sending Henry into a panic.
"But I just ordered a new bike online." The teen squeaked.
"Well, when does it get here?" Schwoz asked.
"Next week," Henry replied, swallowing a lump in his throat.
"Oh yeah, no, your bike is screwed." (y/n) said to him sadly as the others shook their heads and she hugged Ray's arm. Two days wasn't enough time to tell him everything she had ever wanted to say to him.
"Oh man, the whole world is going to end? You sure of this?" Henry was starting to feel very nauseous.
"Yes," Schwoz confirmed, going back to the computer.
"Schwoz has been watching the volcano, monitoring the vibrations, doing all the calculations," Ray said, his voice breaking when (y/n) wrapped her arms around his waist. Two days wasn't enough time to do everything he had ever wanted to do with her.
"How much time do we have left?" Charlotte asked the genius. Schwoz hit a button on the control panel, and a countdown appeared on the monitor, showing that there were less than 48 hours to go.
"Just under two days." (y/n) swallowed and put her forehead on her friend's chest. He cradled her head, believing that in less than two days, he was going to lose her forever.
"Oh, oh, jeez. I got to go tell my mom and dad. And my cousins. and everyone!" Henry shouted, running to go warn his family about what was about to happen. Reluctantly, Ray let go of (y/n) so he could run stop him from reentering the elevators. Using his laser control, he used a traction beam on the boy's butt and pulled him back to the group.
"You could've just said, 'Henry, come back.'" The boy said to him, but the man just tucked his controller into his back pocket and pulled his best friend into his arms.
"We can't tell people about the volcano, Henry." (y/n) said in a quiet, sad voice.
"Why?" The boy asked her in confusion.
"So they can spend their last two days living their normal lives," Charlotte explained. The last thing they needed was pandemonium on the streets.
"Right. Enjoying the simple, important things like petting their dogs, and watching television, and going on the internet and expressing strong opinions based on little or no knowledge or information." Ray listed off all the things he could think of.
"I do that," Schwoz admitted.
"Telling girls that you love them?" Henry said back, making Ray go wide-eyed. But the comment went over (y/n)'s head.
"Ooh, Henry, do you like someone?" She smirked at the boy and Ray breathed a sigh of relief.
"Well, if I have only have two days left on this earth, I know what I'm doing," Charlotte said, walking over to the auto-snacker.
"A gallon of ice cream and a spoon." She ordered from the machine.
"She's got the right idea, make that two spoons." (y/n) smiled and walked over to Charlotte.
"A gallon of ice cream and two spoons." The machine produced what they had asked for and the two girls began to dig into the frozen dessert.
"Oh come on guys, you can't spend your last two days on earth just stuffing your faces," Henry said to them, but they didn't care.
"Wanna bet?" (y/n) replied through a mouthful of ice cream.
"Uh, yes, we can." Charlotte agreed with her, so they both walked to the couch to eat their ice cream.
"Dude, you should totally tell (y/n) how you feel," Henry whispered to Ray once the females were out of earshot. Ray looked at him in alarm.
"No! I can't do that!" He snapped, even though he had considered doing just that.
"Why not?" Schwoz butted in, wanting to see Ray man up in his last two days alive.
"Because, she'd reject me and I'd spend the rest of my life in pain and agony, knowing that I ruined my friendship with her." The superhero ranted, but his friends just groaned.
"You don't know that," Henry said, as they all looked at Charlotte and (y/n), who were chatting and eating away.
"You should tell, you-know-who, that you love him." Charlotte leant over and mumbled into (y/n)'s ear. Her cheeks flushed at the thought, but Charlotte just suggestively raised her eyebrows.
"No, no, no, no. Not happening." The older woman said firmly, the idea of confessing to the man made her feel incredibly flustered.
"Come on! It's Ray!" Charlotte tried to hint that he'd say yes without revealing the entire truth since she'd made a promise not to tell the other person how they felt.
"Exactly! It's Ray. Gorgeous, funny, silly Ray! The man I watch day in, day out, dating girl after girl, actress after model. The man I can't have." She said, her face in her hands. Charlotte reached out to hold her hand across the table.
"We're all gonna die in two days anyway, you can tell him and not worry about the consequences.." The dark-haired girl reasoned, and (y/n) thought it over for a second. If it all went wrong, she wouldn't have to hide in another country for the rest of her life. If it went right, she would die happy knowing that he loved her as much as she loved him.
"I'll think about it." She twitched the corner of her mouth into a smile and stirred the melting ice cream. She took another mouthful, letting the icy cold sweetness run down her throat.
"Think about Ray in his Captain Man suit. We all see how you check him out." The girl teased in a sly voice, laughing when the woman shoved more ice cream into her mouth to stop herself from squeaking in embarrassment.
~Later that night, Henry's porch~
"Two days from now that volcano is going to pop." "Billions of tons of hot lava will spew from the ground and melt everything." Schwoz and Ray's voices rang in Henry's head, as he took a moment to appreciate the stars in the night sky. He had propped two bright, orang pillows onto the ground and was just sat there, thinking about how in a few days, everything would be gone.
Jasper came walking up to Henry's door and noticed his best friend sat just outside his house with a drunken expression on his face.
"Hey, Henry." The curly-haired boy greeted.
"You ever look at the stars?" Henry asked him, which weirded Jasper out a bit. What kind of question was that?
"Huh?" The kid looked up like his friend.
"Stars are amazing. Thousands of twinkling little lights shining in the night sky," Henry said wistfully, staring up at the cosmos.
"All right." Jasper didn't know what else to say to the boy's poetic words.
"I love you, man," Henry told him, a smile on his face. He had two days to tell his friends how much he appreciated them, and he was going to let them know even if it killed him.
"Okay, dude." The other boy accepted his comment with a shrug of his shoulders. Boy, Henry was being weird tonight.
"Hey, wanna see a pic of my new bucket?" Jasper moved on, taking out his PearPhone. He sat down next to Henry, who really didn't care about his bucket.
"No, not really." He said through gritted teeth, making Jasper's face fall.
"What do you mean?" He asked Henry, wondering what was wrong with his lovely bucket.
"Nobody cares about your dumb buckets." Henry snapped at him, finally telling him what he had wanted to say for years. His best friend gasped at his rude words.
"What's up with you?" Jasper looked at him in concern. He knew Henry better than anyone, and he had never seen him like this before.
"What?" Henry played coyly since he couldn't tell the other teen about the supervolcano.
"First, you tell me that you love me, then, you scream at me. You're acting like my mom." Jasper told him.
"I don't know, man. It's just, life is short and--" Henry's emotional speech was interrupted when Charlotte approached them. After a long day of being (y/n)'s wingwoman in her struggle to confess to Ray before the world ended, she had been to a greasy takeout shop to buy some burgers.
"Here comes Charlotte." Henry pointed out to his best friend, and they watched as Charlotte slowly walked towards them. She sat down on the bench with a plastic bag full of unhealthy food.
"What's up?" She asked in a tired and depressed voice.
"You went to Inside-Out Burger?" Henry asked, noticing the logo on the bag.
"Yup." She answered simply, opening the box on the first burger.
"Since when do you eat chilli cheeseburgers? I thought you were getting in great shape for that 10k run." Jasper pointed out, remembering how strict the girl had been with her diet and exercise regime.
"I was. Now I'm eating this." Charlotte said before taking a huge bite from the delicious sandwich. She wouldn't be alive to do the run, so she might as well eat as much junk food as possible before she got burnt to a crisp.
"Has (y/n) told Ray yet?" Henry asked her and the girl let out a long groan.
"No, every time he flops his hair or flexes a muscle, she goes all weak-kneed and chickens out," Charlotte told him about the frustration she had gone through with the adults.
"Man, I wish he'd just tell her," Henry grumbled.
"It will take a miracle." The girl said, taking another big bite.
"Can I?" Henry asked, wanting something deep-friend and delicious too.
"Yeah, get in there." Charlotte kicked over the bag, so the boys each took out a burger. They both took a bite and chewed in silence for a moment before Jasper noticed something peculiar.
"These have pickles on them." He pointed out.
"So?" Henry didn't know what he was getting at.
"I thought you both hated pickles." He replied.
"Well, one day Jasper, we may not even be here to love or hate pickles. So while I am here, I'm gonna give pickles a chance." Charlotte snapped at him and bit into her burger.
"Me too," Henry said, also eating his burger. However, the taste of the cucumber made them both gag.
"Okay, pickles are gross," Charlotte said, spitting the little green things back out.
"I can't eat this pickle." Henry agreed, shutting his burger box as Jasper smirked. He knew them better than they did at times.
~Meanwhile, in the Man Cave~
Ray was dressed in some sweatpants and a white t-shirt with a red, sleeveless jacket. He had been waiting for (y/n) to get ready for ages since she had agreed to help him fulfil one of his not-dying wishes. Hers had been to watch the sunset on a beach in Hawaii, but with the amount of time they had left, it wasn't possible. So, she had decided that if she couldn't achieve her final dream, she would help someone else and that someone was Ray.
"Let's get to it, (y/n), we don't have much time." He said, taking a swig of water from his bottle. (y/n) came out from the back of the Man Cave wearing a long-sleeved, black, scoop neck shirt, a flowy red miniskirt, some pale pantyhose and red sneakers. She walked over to him swiftly, adjusting the top so her boobs didn't fly out.
"All right, bossy, I'm here, I'm here. Why's this so important again?" She smiled at him, as he choked on his water at the sight of her décolletage. Her neck looked so soft and delicate and he wondered what it would be like to just bury his face into it.
"I told you. I promised my grandmother that one day I'd learn how to dance the Jitterbug. And in...42 hours, there won't be anybody left on Earth to practice with." He said, reminding himself that he was set to lose her.
Seeing his broken expression, she put a hand on his cheek and stroked his cheekbone with her thumb. She gave him a sad smile, not being able to imagine being the last human on Earth with no friends or family to love.
"We have 42 hours, let's make the most of it." She said to him, putting on a brave face. He glanced over her features, thinking that he could just say it. She was here, for now, breathing and standing in front of him so beautifully, it made his heart soar. His lips parted, his tongue dashing out to wet them, and his vocal cords went to make a sound, but before he could tell her, she pressed the button on the stereo and the lively band music began to play.
He let out a small sigh but didn't let her see his disappointment, so he held out his hand for her to take and they began to dance.
"And, five, six, seven, eight." They moved their feet in time to the music, their chemistry making it so much more intimate and fun. He twirled her around and then they backed up and clapped their hands. Ray grinned at her as they shuffled around the Man Cave, (y/n) giggling as she kicked her legs out. With one final lift into the air, the dance came to an end and the woman fell into her partner's arm.
She looked up at him and dragged her eyes down from his crow's feet to the faint scar on his cheek to his pale, pink lips. It was like he had been sculptured by Greek Gods, and she was the mortal who was blessed to have him in front of her. She returned the hug he pulled her into, thinking that she could just say it.
"Grandma Manchester will be happy that I can dance now." His voice was muffled in her hair, but she heard him all the same.
"And she'll be happy that you're a natural." (y/n) teased him, running her hand through the back of his hair.
"I had a great partner." He mumbled back and she felt content to just hold him for now. 'A silly confession would just ruin the mood.' She told herself, swallowing down the words that threatened to erupt from her throat.
~The next day, Swellview High~
"Buy a fruit bar." Oliver Pook said to Mitch Bilsky and his horrible friends, offering the box to the boys. Mitch Bilsky was a bully, so when he saw the boy selling the bars, he couldn't help but choose him as his next victim.
"Uhhh, yeah. I'll take a fruit bar." He said to the boy, picking up one of them and throwing it across the hall. Oliver being Oliver, didn't get that he was being bullied and acted like he was another normal customer.
"That'll be two dollars." He deadpanned to the laughing boy.
"You know what, I think I'll take two more of your fruit bars." He threw two more bars, which landed close to the steps that Henry and Charlotte were walking down.
"I take cash or checks," Oliver said, making Mitch and his friends laugh mockingly.
"I'm going over there," Henry said to Charlotte, wanting to be the person who would finally stand up to the bully.
"No. You don't wanna mess with Mitch Bilsky. He's big and crazy." Charlotte warned him, grabbing his arm to stop him from going up to the larger boy. Henry was puny in comparison and he would surely be squished like a bug.
"But he's picking on Oliver." He stated, seeing the way the boys jeered.
"So? Oliver doesn't even realise it." The girl pointed out, looking over at Mitch who was now stacking the fruit bars on Oliver's head.
"Look, we only have 28 hours left before that volcano destroys the whole world on Friday," Henry said to her.
"I know, but--" Charlotte tried to get him to back down, but Henry was too determined.
"I'm not holding anything back anymore. I told Jasper I don't like buckets, I ate five chilli cheeseburgers after dinner last night, and now, I'm going to stand up to the biggest jerk in school. I fear no man." Henry said, feeling pumped.
He turned around and walked over to the bullies.
"Hey, Mitch! I think you dropped this." Henry yelled at the large kid and threw the fruit bar back in his face. The surrounding kids gasped at his actions, knowing that Mitch was gonna beat his ass.
"Okay, Hart. Now...you and me are gonna fight." Mitch seethed at Henry, lifting the boy off his feet and into the air by his hoodie.
"You know, you really should get your teeth whitened." Henry insulted him, not showing any fear.
"If you guys fight here, you're going to be surrounded by teachers in five seconds." Charlotte jumped in, seeing that Henry was way out of his depth. The crowd agreed with her.
"It's true." The boy said to Mitch.
"Monday, after school in the parking lot behind that Jewish church." The bully spat in his face, but Henry furrowed his brows at his words.
"They're called Synagogues. IDIOT!" He berated.
"Whatever, Monday after school behind the Cinderdog." Mitch's pronunciation made Henry giggle.
"Monday? Yeah, sure, dude. Let's fight on Monday. Sounds good." The boy said, knowing that Monday would be too late. Mitch dropped him to the floor, and walked out with his posse, as Oliver continued to shout about his fruit bars.
~Later that day~
Oliver Pook walked up behind Henry, who was busy looking in his locker.
"Hey, Henry." He said, spooking Henry and causing him to drop his books.
"What's up, man?" Henry smiled at him, wondering what the boy wanted.
"You wanted to come ice fishing with me a week from Saturday?" He asked the boy, who sighed at the idea of sitting in the cold with the weird teen.
"Oliver, every month you ask me if I want to go ice fishing with you. And what do I say every time?" He put to the boy.
"When I ask in person you say no. When I text you, you just pretend you never got the text." He deadpanned.
"Exactly. Now, guess what?"Henry said in an uplifting tone.
"What?"
"I'd love to go ice fishing with you a week from Saturday," Henry told Oliver, shocking the boy and Charlotte, who had been listening in from her locker.
"Seriously?" Oliver couldn't believe it.
"Yep." Henry smiled when he saw how happy he had made the other teen.
"Henry Hart, you make me happy." Oliver gave him an awkward hug, before running off.
"Ice fishing with Oliver?" Charlotte asked, walking up to her blond friend. She couldn't believe he'd agreed to put himself through that.
"A week from Saturday, the world won't even be here." He said with a sigh.
"Yeah, I know." The girl said dejectedly and took a bite of whatever she was eating.
"What are you eating?" Henry asked her.
"A stick of butter with sprinkles on it." She told him, and Henry pulled a disgusted/confused face.
"Why?"
"Why not?" Charlotte retorted, before glancing over his shoulder.
"Hey, hey, there's Bianca. Go tell her you like her." Charlotte said, spying the pretty girl near the doors.
"What's the point? None of us are gonna exist after tomorrow." Henry sulked.
"Yeah, but if you tell her, maybe you'll get to kiss her before, you know..." Charlotte imitated the sound of an explosion and her words were enough to convince Henry to walk over to the brunette.
"Hey, Bianca!" He called out to her.
"Oh, hi, Henry." She said to him sweetly.
"I like you. And I don't just mean 'I like you, I mean, I like you, like you.'" Henry came straight out with it. He could teach Ray a few things.
"Cool, anything else?" Bianca asked him, her cheeks turning rosy.
"Nah. Yes. I would like to kiss you if you're down for that." He said in a loud voice, drawing some looks.
"With everyone watching?" The girl looked around sheepishly.
"Yeah. Let's show them how it's done, son." He joked, so Bianca stepped forward and pecked him on the lips. Everyone watching started to clap, as Henry walked back over to Charlotte with a huge grin on his face.
"How do you feel?" The dark-haired girl smirked at him.
"Feel good," Henry said, swaggering to his next class.
~The Man Cave~
Down in the hideout, (y/n) and Charlotte were eating the white cream from the middle of Oreos and then discarding the chocolate cookie. Hey, they were set to die tomorrow, they were gonna spend their last few hours living dangerously. Between them, they had gotten through six packets of the sweet treats whilst they waited for Henry and Ray to return from their outing.
The tubes came down, and the tired superhero duo came plodding into the Man Cave. (y/n) gave them a tired smile, as they walked over to the couch.
"Where you guys been?" Charlotte asked in confusion. They were wearing their super suits, but there had been no emergency call.
"In the Man-Copter." Henry sighed.
"Flying over Swellview, looking around," Ray said, moving towards where (y/n) was sat, and leaned on the back of the couch behind her.
"One last time," Henry mumbled, as (y/n) turned around and draped her arms around Ray as he rested his head and hands on the sofa.
"Nice." The girl said, licking more filling from an Oreo.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Eh." The two grumbled simultaneously. Henry gave Charlotte a pointed look and gestured to the two sulking adults, so the girl kicked (y/n) under the table as Henry poked Ray's back. Each adult looked to a kid and saw them gesturing to the opposite person, hinting that they should admit their feelings.
Ray shook his head quickly, looking at the boy with an agitated face. (y/n), on the other hand, was thinking about it, hard. From where she was sat, she could see the countdown ticking away on the supercomputer and used the stress it gave her to boost her courage.
"R-Ray?" She stuttered, her cheeks feeling red hot and her heart racing like a horse.
"What?" The man didn't look up from his slouch position, and the fact that she couldn't see his face made it a little easier for her.
"I need to tell you something." She screwed her eyes tight and dug her fingernails into her palms so hard she thought she'd draw blood. Henry and Charlotte looked at each other with wide, hopeful eyes, waiting with bated breath for her to say the three magic words.
"Yeah?" The man still didn't look to see how wound up she was, so she gritted her teeth and forced herself to speak.
"I--" To their horror, she was cut off as the elevator came down and Schwoz walked into the Man Cave, wearing a gym outfit and holding a piece of paper.
"Hey, peoples, look it. I got membership to Muscle Works." The little man showed them the contract, as Henry and Charlotte held back screams. (y/n) however, was relieved at the intrusion, feeling like she had been saved by a higher power.
"You joined a gym?" She said to him in an unusually happy voice, wafting her face with her hand to cool down her flushed complexion.
"Yeah, I paid for five years upfront, which got me two percent off and this tank top," Schwoz explained the crappy deal he got, confusing the others.
"No, no, Schwoz, why did you pay for a membership when you know the world is going to end tomorrow?" Henry asked in a miffed voice, still feeling irritated that (y/n) had been stopped from confessing to Ray. Now, she'd never tell him, it took the threat of a volcano to force her hand, for Pete's sake!
"Yeah, why?" Ray, (y/n) and Charlotte asked together in bafflement.
"You guys didn't get my text?" Schwoz said slowly.
"What text?" Henry and Ray felt like he was about to say something stupid.
"Well, you know how I figured out that the supervolcano go kaboom tomorrow?" The genius said to them.
"Yeah, you stressed that point numerous times." (y/n) said, a tight smile on her face. She had a feeling that she knew what Schwoz was going to say next.
"It's not going to happen tomorrow." The man said, shocking them into silence.
"Then when?" Henry piped up.
"In about 17 million years. I swear I sent you a text." Schwoz said, walking off when he got bored of them looking like goldfish.
The four of them burst into cheers, Ray giving (y/n) a big bear hug. She let go reluctantly but was swept up into another hug with Charlotte, as Henry switched on some disco light and music.
"We gonna live. Ha!" They all chanted as they danced around. (y/n) leapt onto Ray's back and he span her around, Henry and Charlotte watching them with smiles on their faces. Henry whispered into Charlotte's ear, who smirked at the sound of his plan.
"Hey (y/n/n), do you want to grab some ice cream?" Charlotte smiled at the woman, who climbed off of Ray and walked over to the auto-snacker.
"Sure, what flavour?" (y/n) asked, but Charlotte needed her to be distracted, so she ran over with intention of stalling her.
"Uhhhh, let me have a look at them." She replied, and started scrolling through every combination logged in the system.
"Pssst, Ray, I have an idea," Henry whispered to Ray, bringing him over to the couch. He took the man's laser remote and set the large TV monitor to come down from the ceiling.
"Kid, what are you doing?" Ray asked, looking confused at the setup. Henry made the couch table go down and ran to the back of the Man Cave where (y/n) stored some scatter cushions in a box. He threw them at Ray, who caught them in confusion. The teen glanced at the two females on the other side of the room and saw that Charlotte was doing a good job of keeping her busy.
"Pillows? Henry, what is going on?" Ray said in a hushed tone, getting the idea that Charlotte was distracting his best friend, but he had no idea what his sidekick had planned.
"Y'know how (y/n)'s always wanted to watch the sunset in Hawaii?" Henry smiled at him as he fluffed the cushions and spread out a blanket.
"Yeah?" The superhero was beginning to see what he was getting at, and he remembered how (y/n) had described her fantasy to him down to the tiniest detail.
"Well, you're bringing Hawaii to her. Charlotte's on Piña Coladas and ice cream, and we're getting the 'beach' ready." Ray grinned at how sweet Henry was and he ruffled his hair.
"Wait, what do you mean I'm bringing it to her?" Ray stopped and thought about the boy's words.
"She can't watch it alone, dude." Henry grinned and signalled Charlotte to bring the woman in question over.
"Henry, I can't sit---" Ray was cut off as (y/n) turned away from the machine and gasped. The lights dimmed and she saw the couch had been made all cosy.
"What's happening?" She said, walking over to the TV area with two bowls of vanilla ice cream. Now she understood why Charlotte insisted on looking at every topping the snack-machine had.
"We can't go to Hawaii, so I'm bringing Hawaii to you." Ray quickly went along with the plan and gestured to all the things Henry had quickly set up.
Of course, the real Hawaii would have been so much better to anyone else, with a real sandy beach and the crystal blue sea lapping away gently, but then again, Hawaii wouldn't have meant anything without Ray.
"You did all this for me?" She questioned him, her eyes sparkling with tears as she took in the scene. Henry played the video of a Hawaiin sunset on the TV and Charlotte set down the Piña Coladas. Backing away slowly, they left silently in the elevator, high-fiving when they started moving.
"The kids helped a bit," Ray confessed, looking down at his feet. (y/n) raised her hand and peeled the mask off his face so she could read all his facial expressions.
"My very own beach." She smiled, sitting down and pulling the blanket over her lap. Ray joined her, passing her a drink and placing the ice cream bowl in front of her. She rested her head on his shoulder and gazed at the video on the screen, imagining that they could be looking at a real sunset like this, with matching rings on their fingers.
"What did you want to tell me earlier?" Ray broke her out of the daydream, and she said the first thing that came to her mind.
"Doesn't matter." She immediately felt regret for the first time since she fell in love with him, because for the first time, she wanted to tell him. She had reacted on instinct, having acted the same way for so long now that her mind was disconnected from her heart.
Ray said nothing, eating another mouthful of ice cream. Like her, he dreamed of taking her to Hawaii and standing on a beach just like the one onscreen. She would float towards him wearing white and they would promise to love each other forever with a sealing kiss.
'Maybe in another life.' They thought together, believing that they were worlds apart when in reality, they had never been closer.

presumed innocent episode 3 word vomit <3
when rusty's face went 🥺 my heart went 💔
THE GLASSES THE CLOTHES THE GLASSES THE ASS THE GLASSES
the moment during which rusty fell in love. "carolyn has kindness" no she doesn't hope that helps.
the softness. the cuddliness. the nuzzling against her face. he is a soft man. i can't hate him anymore. oh my god poor rusty.
raymond i love you. if raymond has 0 fan i am dead and he's probably dead too he's so old. poor raymond. you need to learn how to make better friends. rusty is putting you on the highway to a heart attack.
CAROLYN IS A FUCKING CREEP. I HATE HER. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT YOU CAROLYN.
ass ass ass ass back back back back ass ass ass ass
mya is hot as fuck i'm so sorry i cannot act normal around her i love her already and usually that's a bad sign because characters i like are not good people
GLASSES glasses glasses glasses GLASSES
the judge calling nico 'delay guardia' is so funny yes miss judge <3
carolyn was never in love with rusty. you cannot fucking control falling in love with someone. that's creepy. how she pushed rusty back is so heartbreaking. she broke rusty's heart and yet he came back begging and obsessing over a chance at being with her. i just know he would have left his family to build one with carolyn and she would have abandoned him and their child without remorse.
fucking in missionary right on the spot on the carpet where she was tied up... rusty you will rust in jail you're so doomed
tommy........... tommy............ tommy you are hot. i hate you.
also tommy??? if peter and jake weren't brothers in law i'd fully believe in the theory i had since their first interaction that tommy was in love with rusty and he knew about the affair and he was extremely jealous that the affair was not with him. that will forever remain canon in my heart <3
lorraine is freaky like okayyy that was spicy i can only imagine her telling raymond that barbara is having an affair and raymond would die bye poor raymond
the bartender is hot if i didn't want barbara all to myself i'd allow it teehee
barbara losing her job is so NO I LOVE YOU I WILL CALL YOU MOMMY AND TAKE CARE OF YOU SO SO GOOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. the scene in the train bus tramway idk? oof that was so fucking hot. barbara is so beautiful. she is so pretty. she is so magnificent. rusty you are a dumb man.
i'm the worst person for whodunnit media, i fall into EVERY. SINGLE. TRAP. i thought it was carolyn's son. then KYLE? KYLE WHAT THE FUCK. could kyle have done it. was he just following his father around and found his car parked in front of carolyn's house. is this a kyle and barbara project. IS THE EMO SON IN ON IT. what the hell.
KYLE. KYLE WHAT THE FUCK KYLE. what the fuck was that. the theory daphne and i are thinking of makes so much sense and we're so right and we should be defending rusty in court like we are absolutely brilliant the world has never seen genius like ours @sizzlingcloudmentality
RUSTY I LOVE YOU YOU'RE SO PATHETIC BUT YOU'RE ALSO PATHETICALLY IN LOVE AND I LOVE YOU.
also the way i guessed SO MANY THINGS from this episode in a fic i'm writing right now (and started like last week) is actually wild. you guys will see when i post it but i guessed so many elements that it's actually trippy. wow i did that i'm so smart this is the smartest thing i've ever done. thank you presumed innocent for supporting my narrative <3

notes on the owl house, season 1
was gonna do a sequence of liveblogs but then??? i got really into it??? so i guess the most important tl;dr is that yes lesbians you were right this time
S01E01
*watches first scene, where a single brown mother gives her kid a brochure for Conformity Camp with a cartoonish image of a child being crowded into a box, when her kid has already been established as being comically and cartoonishly imaginative, while a flock of doves fly into the air spelling out the words THIS IS A JOKE PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A DISCOURSE ABOUT THIS*
*pauses episode*
*gently and reverently rests finger on screen* a discourse happened here
i knew that Wendie Malick voices Eda before i started and thought i'd properly girded my loins and yet every time she opens her mouth i think she's gonna tell Luz she's punishing Luz for being alive
S01E03: gotta say i'm appreciative of this show's policy of "NO BOYS ALLOWED" unless the boys are the LITTLEST GUYS IN THE WORLD in which case "SON BOY ALLOWED"
S01E05
it's weird that the Adora in this show has Catra's haircut
wait
siSTER???
i guess kudos for subverting my expectations but between this and Frozen what is it with Disney properties courting the Incest Yay people
was the thought that since Eda and Lilith are Old(tm) it wouldn't happen this time because. uhhhhhh
i guess since Catradora was NebulaGamora you could argue Dana Terrace was just returning the trope to old familial roots??? bah i'm not gonna think about this anymore. Lilith def cursed Eda tho
spotted: Amity Blight and her best frenemy Luz Noceda dueling over the last open spot to the Magic Yale welcome luncheon!!!! xoxo GossipWitch
S01E07
not only does Amity have siblings her siblings are VEX AND VAX??? what is happening
Amity: you're a bully Luz!!!! i would know, because i call myself that in the mirror every morning!!!! not because i'm self aware though. it's to pump me up for another day of Bratz the Movie level shenanigans
wow this enemies-to-lovers is turning around fast. i was expecting Amity to at least girlboss if not gaslight but she barely got to gatekeep before being all "i guess :) we both learned something today :)"
yes Amity Luz accidentally hurting your precarious sense of self once is definitely the same as you tormenting Willow for years
S01E12
oh i've seen this Steven Universe episode.
*sees the monster* and so have the storyboarders
why is everyone so mean to Hooty :(
seriously tho i get having one person in the friend group that everyone inexplicably dislikes is a comedy standard or whatever but. it feels out of place for a show that otherwise bellows "it's great to be weird!!!" from the rooftops
Hooty never did nothing to nobody!!! except be all powerful and occasionally asking to be included in shenanigans
on the other hand given King's design they had to work REALLY hard for me to dislike him, but wow! it's definitely paid off, he's the worst
this is the third episode in a row where King's plot is that he has to learn a lesson about not being Disney-brand-selfish and i know this didn't happen but i'm suddenly imagining the world where he eventually takes over as the main character and The Owl House became Disney's answer to Teen Titans Go
S01E13: okay fine King reaching Todd Chavez levels of shenanigans in this episode was good. he can stay
S01E14: MAYBE THEY SHOULD CALL IT SHAPESHIFT LAND. BECAUSE IT'S A LAND WHERE YOU GO TO SHAPESHIFT
S01E15
can i just say that. naming a powerful-but-overlooked witch--who is the BFF to the main character, who thrives on both a) The Hubris and b) The Resentment--Willow is. well no harm in wearing your influence on your sleeve i guess
she does plant magic! it's not like they could have called her Glimmer
i can't believe Amity was made to end her friendship with Willow by CAITLIN GLASS'S SHADOW LAUGHING ON A WALL
*Amity pulls on Skara's invitation like she's gonna rip it apart* NO AMITY THAT'S AN ACTUAL BUTTERFLY
Amity: i'm not actually gonna rip it because it's a real butterfly, but you get the gesture, right?
me: ...fine. FINE
>:(
*watches Amity release the butterfly invitation as a symbol of overcoming her past self* wow. trans Amity confirmed
all the Blight kids are trans actually the twins transed and nobody even made a fuss bc their parents are terrible and Amity is a fourteen year old with youngest most specialest child syndrome
S01E16
Amity: i can't fight my worst fear because it's SO EMBARASSING
me: Amity if it's the one where you fail a test and then your mother shows up and calls you fat i guarantee everyone in school has already guessed
i guess we're just getting everybody's mommy issues huh
Luz's greatest flaw is how hard she commits to the bit, truly the ADHD representation we need
like it has literally not occurred to her that she could change course with what to tell Camila at any time. she chose her path and it's the only one for her now forever
oh Amity's greatest fear isn't even the obvious mom thing!! it's that Luz might turn her down!!! that's so fucking stupid Amity never ever change
S01E17
the recurring potshots at JoRane's intellectual property this season sure are.
this was produced and came out during the years she went public about losing her fucking mind, so like. everyone had to deal with it in the way they felt was appropriate. i'm not really out to judge the exact timbre of one's response so long as said response does not align with her bigotry, and i sympathize with the petty joy of belittling something owned by somone hateful, especially if that something once meant a lot to you...
i guess i'm just not super comfortable with it because a) you're still picking at a wound even if you end up making funny shapes out of the scabs, b) these hot takes are about general magic-school tropes but often are so specifically about her it feels like we're giving her credit for creating them, and c) owning her like this feels like an opiate when the real issue isn't that her fictional society is founded on 11 year olds taking one uquiz, or that the fake sport she made up is hideously unbalanced, it's that she's...the leader of hate group
all of which are misgivings i have about the Disney Corporation as well and i get that people don't watch this show to be REMINDED that we live in a society, so like. whatever i'm gonna stop talking about this
that Amity sure is gay amirite! she went from "mostly bormal about her obvious crush" to "Jodie Foster at the Golden Globes" in the span of one episode
S01E18
wow!!! Hooty saved everyone's bacon by being all-powerful. thank you Hooty sorry your squatters just take you for granted
oh hey Hordak
the fact that Willow and Gus immediately figured out what Luz was up to because of the helpful diagrams she drew for her non-plan is just so. i'm love them, actually
LILITH??? cursed Eda???? what an unexpected turn of events
okay yes Eda sacrificing her soul to her chronic illness for Luz provoked some genuine emotion from my flinty irreverent heart
it was just the emotional climax of Brave with a Last Agni Kai color scheme but hey i cry during the emotional climax of Brave, so
S01E19
is King...not sad his momowner is about to die??? i get that Luz is the focus here but it's weird that he's not even a little bit distraught
um
Lilith
oh my god what
what????
you really think someone would do that??? just ESTABLISH A FASCIST STATE AND TELL LIES????
Lilith how the fuck did you become the head of the secret police when you're like THIS
MINDWIPED WILLOW HAD MORE DEDUCTIVE SKILLS, LILITH
i thought there'd be SOME fascist ideology buy-in like cursing Eda made her scared of Power without Discipline or something but she's...only here??? because this one thing Hordak said he'd do???? HE DIDN'T EVEN PINKIE SWEAR LILITH
like yes yes i know. "cop older sister fails upwards and yikes her way into defending her genocidal boss" I KNOW the only way she could be more my type is if she had dyed her hair white, but i can't pay attention to any of that bc i'm too distracted by the logic-defying stupidity
Lilith when you ditched your glasses for your Goth makeover did you just. never get contacts??? because the only reason i can think of for even you blithely sailing past every red flag is that you were literally too blind to see them
i just
i can't believe i thought Winter Schnee was the purest encapsulation of "in my defense your honor i really am the dumbest bitch alive" when Lilith was there all along
i guess her existence is a powerful statement that MILFs can be morons too
*Luz confronting Lilith and displaying a level of anger that's probably supposed to be unsettling* oh my god Luz YES GET HER PUT HER OUT OF HER FUCKING MISERY
Lilith: i just don't understand why even after i've restrained and assaulted them no one believes i just want to have a civil conversation :(
tHIRTY YEARS????
like yes okay i'm sure there are some profound implications here we can draw about grooming and abuse and sunk cost fallacies but i just
Lilith: i was on the fence about cursing my sister, but when i asked for the Emperor's advice he said "god forbid women do anything."
Luz:
Lilith: i'm realizing now that was bad advice. and that he probably meant it in a different, even worse way than how i interpreted it.
but don't worry gang! her solution to fixing all the evil she's been complicit in is to...uh, continue being complicit in the evils! it's the best way to ensure that the incredibly specific scenario that befell Eda and herself will never!!! happen!!! again!!!
quick Lilith, Hordak just ensnared you in tentacles! this is a perfect opportunity for you to show exactly how you're going to prevent "~this" from ever happening ag--oh she's gone
Eda, finding out Lilith didn't actually mean to curse her forever and this was all her sister's incredibly weird way to make amends: what kind of fucking mORON--wait actually this makes perfect sense
Eda honey obviously i love you for trying to shield your sister and petson from petrification but i don't think Lilith noticed you did that
given the established buffer speed of her brain i'm not sure she's even put together that the owlbeast and her sister are the same person
okay okay i'll move on
:') Luz you brave darling sunflower you've never done anything wrong ever in your life and i'm glad you committing to the bit saved the day, even if it came at such a high price
not sure you'll be taking home the coveted gold for Committing to the Bit tho, now that your witch-aunt has revealed herself as the undisputed champion of Blindly Committing to the Bit for the thirtieth consecutive ye--OKAY YES WE'RE NOT BEATING THIS DEAD HORSE ANYMORE
because i do want to take this show seriously, and nothing demonstrates "i'm gonna take responsibility for my own actions now" better than using your literal body to bear some of the harm you inflicted on others. it's a very nice way to bring their relationship full circle, and it resonates with other instances when characters are forced to stop defining themselves by outside standards and embrace what they're already good at.
(and what Lilith is good at is soothing the pain of others via self-harm! which i think is the point the Helen's-Type-Generator starts emitting confetti and oily black smoke)
is this the first instance of magic having a cost or rebound in this world? beyond "whew i did a lot of magic today, i'm tired?" hm
Dana Terrace really went "i'm gonna give the whump enthusiasts everything they want" with this trope huh
Going Forward
yes i liked it yes i know the second season is more heavily serialized yes i will watch that soon
this did make me think about how all seriality in TV these days seem to be about building up to one series-wide showdown as opposed to different seasons having their own mytharcs, but that has less to do with this show specific and more with the death of television as a medium and we ain't got time for that
given how much my exposure to this show beforehand was Lumity (to the point where i wasn't sure there were other characters besides Eda) i'm...kinda surprised at how sparse Amity's presence was in this season. i liked what we did see of her, but i went in expecting a lot more antagonism for a lot longer in that dynamic
but i guess that's tied in with this season not having much in the way of antagonism until the very end, and not-Hordak seems to be the only one actually invested in his whole world order. we don't have any sympathetic true believers, which I assumed would be Lilith and/or Amity? i guess neither Shadow Weaver nor Catra really gave a shit about the Horde's ideology either, but Shadow Weaver remained an unrepentant ball of spite until the end and it didn't really matter that Catra didn't give a shit about the Horde because the Horde was the only thing she knew. in contrast Amity and Lilith's ties to the existing system feel very shallow--in the latter case so much so it kind of boggles my willing suspension of disbelief?
i suppose the next season can change that, i know new characters get introduced so--
oh wait is that what's gonna happen to the bad sad twink
i've only seen his armor but given how many AO3 fics seem to be about him i'm just gonna assume that he's a bad sad twink
wait can i call someone a twink when he's probably in his early teens like the rest of the cast?
is there discourse about this i hope not
don't make me break out the flock of doves

HERE I AM I WATCHED THE FINALE
OKAY FIRST OF ALL IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD AND ACKNOWLEDGED/BROUGHT BACK A LOT OF THINGS I HAD NOT VERY HIGH HOPES FOR
but i gotta be honest, the whole season did. it was fun and genuinely hilarious, while also acknowledging (maybe not doing something with it yet, but we have a whole other season already under go) some plot points like colin dreaming about his childhood with lazlo
THIS FINALE THOUGH
i honestly honestly honestly have to say, i would not have changed a single thing from it. it was INSPIRED. i want to talk about the theme of this season, the vampires are assholes and they will never be nice to each other, but they are a FAMILY and they care about each other so deeply
first of all we have the morrigan manor trap, which i enjoyed so much, and although the season did a great job at building up to this with a hundred little moments in the previous eps, i was still literally shook at seeing the vampires face the music. like wow the guide is really telling them off for how they treat her and guillermo. like, i felt it. and nadja and lazlo are like ok this could have been a conversation but fine heres some footage of us being nice about u behind your back, AND THATS SO LOVELY LIKE - MY DEAR WE ARE FUCKED UP CREATURES OF THE NIGHT WELL NEVER TELL YOU TO YOUR FACE THAT YOURE IMPORTANT TO US
and its like. this season does a lot to put all the previous seasons into perspective. i cant even begin to speak about nandor and his aversion to turning guillermo. like, CHRIST
anyway the moment where nandor finds out was SO fucking delicious i love you mr de laurentiis i am completely in love with you going insane going insane also like ive seen some DISAPPOINTMENT over this finale and im ???? speechless is it that they didnt kiss or fuck? NANDOR KNOWS GUILLERMO BETTER THAN HE KNOWS HIMSELF HE KNEW HE COULDNT BEAR KILLING HE KNEW HE WASNT READY AND WANNA BET HE ALSO KEPT HIS DISTANCE ALL THESE YEARS BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT WOULD ADD TO GUILLERMO WANTING TO BE WITH HIM FOREVER BUT HES TOO CODEPENDENT TO LET HIM GO WHAT!!! THIS SHIT IS DELICIOUS
LET THEM COOK
but where was i ah yes nandor finding out nandor staking out panera bread and talking to some rando about guillermo and nandor going to his mothers (vampire killer! so its like dangerous for him lbr) place once he found it within himself to let go of the humiliation and prioritize his feelings for guillermo. let that sink in. he didnt want to find him not really. otherwise he would have threatened his mom weeks ago. nandor actually forgiving guillermo and its just like that. because he loves him too much. nandor doing the gayest most romantically and sexually charged shit in the world to prove to guillermo he actually has forgiven him. nandor bringing guillermo home. and saying he will be living with us AS AN EQUAL
nandor bringing him blood. and while we are on this topic, NANDOR WHO HAS THE IQ OF A RUSSIAN TOILET KNEW RIGHT AWAY WHAT GUILLERMOS PROBLEM WITH HIS TURNING WAS AND HOW TO FIX IT. AND HE DID. IMMEDIATELY. WHILE LAZLO STRUGGLED FOR WEEKS. NANDOR KNEW INSTANTLY. this episode had such biiig caretaker nandor energy and i fucking gobble that shit up. he pays so much attention to guillermo and he is so warm and loving to him whenever hes not catching himself…… i think im gonna go cry
nandor looking at guillermo with barely repressed lust as guillermo shows off his new vampiric powers and is taken by a frenzy to just go and do some shit. nandor lurking in the shadows listening to guillermos confession about not being able to kill, and looking so broken up about it, and wanting to fix things immediately for guillermo (but he cant, and btw im glad they brought back the lamp even if it was just to say you dumbass, you are out of wishes, like maybe that was a disappointment to some people but im sort of glad they made nandor use up all his wishes because the whole ceremony bit was sooooooooooooo thoughtful and soooo warm on nandors part). he went and staged the whole place and orchestrated the whole thing just so guillermo could speak from the heart and say he made a mistake. that is insanely loving of him
and btw idk anything about the lore of vampiric lineage BUT! tbh i do think this is such a cool loophole. like when guillermo reverted, time for his human form had passed. which means if any vampire who has lived, idk, more than 130 years had the same thing happen to them, they would obviously turn to dust. of course they would die! but guillermo had this happen only a few months ago so hes good! and the vampirism is reverted! and he has the time and knowledge now to think long and hard if he still wants it
to be honest (not to be a blorke about nandermo) i do believe that nandor and guillermo will get into it next season and the subsequent conflict will be that guillermo cannot be a vampire so he will age and die one day, but i think since nandor is so caring and “acts of service” in this last episode, maybe the solution they find is they decide nandor will turn guillermo eventually, and then bring him blood without guillermo having to hunt and kill (he could also like rob blood banks or drink from people without draining them)
anyway how cool is it that guillermo turned out to be so similar to louis (interview with the vampire, the very movie that got him to want to be a vampire), with the same conflict, except he did get a do over thanks to nandor ❤️
one last thing before i go that i didnt mention NANDOR TYING GUILLERMOS CAPE SO LOVINGLY AND WITH SUCH ATTENTION WITH SUCH REVERENCE GOD I KNOW WE’RE IN FOR A TREAT NEXT SEASON. AND NANDOR FUCKING STAKING DEREK. DO YOU WANT ME TO DO IT. I DONT KNOW. I DO *STAKE *. LIKE WHAT. THAT WAS SO INSANELY HOT TO ME GOODBYE FOREVER AND SORRY FOR THE LONGASS POST
#what we do in the shadows#nandermo#wwdits#wwdits spoilers#what we do in the shadows spoilers#anyway i really dont see how people can be disappointed with this finale from any standpoint#but if you are please dont argue with me on my post 🥺#some messy liveblog tag#comment#wwdits meta#i think i have a big acts of service thing thank you mr the relentless for awakening that in me

My Top 10 Favorite Breaking Bad Universe Episodes (+ explanations/analyses because I can't not gush about these shows dammit)
"Face Off" (BrBa, S4E13)- this episode had me on the edge of my seat like no other one in the entire BrBa universe. It's not my favorite in terms of themes or character development-- which are my usual priorities in a show-- but good god, it was an EXPERIENCE. And it held up SO GOOD on rewatch, even knowing how it ends the pacing and buildup is done so phenomenally that it almost feels like watching it for the first time. It's just epic. And that final scene... coming off the thrill of watching an evil villain like Gus Fring be defeated... relishing in Walt's victory and relief... then the camera slowly tracking inward to reveal the Lily of the Valley.... that sudden shift as you realize the guy you were just aggressively rooting for is a monster as well... Oh my god. Perfection.
"Ozymandias" (BrBa, S5E14)- do I even need to explain why I love this episode? It's often regarded as the best episode in this universe, and for good reason. It is Walter White's downfall, the epic culmination of 4 1/2 seasons of steady moral degradation, the consequences of Walter's greed and ego finally brought to horrific fruition. This is one of only two episodes in the BrBa universe to actually make me cry (the other being "Granite State", when Walt Jr. tells his father he should just go and die). Hank's death is abrupt and horrible. "I watched Jane die" makes ME want to go die. Walt's fight with Skyler is both devastating and somehow cathartic. The acting is some of the best I have seen in my entire life. It truly is the peak of Breaking Bad, and there will never be anything else quite like it (although my #3 comes close).
"Plan and Execution" (BCS, S6E7)- this episode is so effective, that I could barely even stand to rewatch it. And not just Howard's death, but everything building up to it. Watching Howard suffer and be humiliated, knowing all the while that this is his last day on Earth. That this is how he is spending his final hours. And the fact that the whole thing has the fun and whacky tone of the other McWexler scams makes me want to throw up. Watching an oblivious Jimmy and Kim dig both Howard's and their own graves with joy and gusto. The inevitability of it all too, how every little detail conspires to put Howard and Lalo in that room together. I never thought a cockroach scampering across a screen could make me want to scream, but here we are. It's honestly unbearable. And then of course the final scene is breathtakingly brilliant. Howard's amazing speech, the sudden tonal shift, the horror of his death. The candle. And this all barely even touches on what it means for Jimmy and Kim's characters, but this is getting long enough, so lets just leave it at P&E is their very own Ozymandias.
"Chicanery" (BCS, S3E5)- I love how perfectly rated Chicanery is in the fandom. I feel like an episode like this would be prone to being totally overshadowed by the more action-packed ones, and I'm so glad that it isn't. Because it is brilliant. To me, Chuck and Jimmy's relationship is the single most compelling dynamic in the BrBa universe. And this is their ultimate showdown, both giving their all to take the other down, Chuck with righteous glee and Jimmy with bitter reluctance. Chuck's final breakdown/monologue is incredible both in terms of writing and acting-- this is the moment we see Chuck McGill for who he really is. Years of bitterness, and jealousy, and frustration, and desperation, finally let loose. And while Jimmy won, it's not a triumphant victory. It's a somber one. Because like Kim said, all they did was tear down a mentally ill man. A man who needed help, beneath all the hatred and envy. Aghh. Chuck.
"Felina" (BrBa, S5E16)- I love the vibe of Felina. There's just this palpaple tiredness and resigned acceptance from Walter. He destroyed his family, they will never forgive him, he is going to die alone. He has realized his ego and selfishness, but it's too late. Everyone is just sitting in the ashes of the world they once knew. And yet, with that acceptance, there also comes a sense of peace. Nothing left to do but make things right in whatever way he still can. Finding a way to get his money to his family, admitting to Skyler that "I did it for me", seeing Holly and Jr. one last time, avenging Hank's death. Then there's Jesse and his resolution, "do it yourself", him crying and screaming and laughing as he drives away, a well earned freedom. The final shot of Walt is bittersweet in the best possible way. A conclusion worthy of the phenomenal series that came before it (rip GOT but BrBa is different).
"Waterworks" (BCS, S6E12)- where Saul Gone is the resolution of Jimmy's arc, Waterworks is the resolution of Kim's. And I think Kim's ending hits me harder, because while we always knew that Jimmy would break bad, Kim's corruption felt like such a betrayal. And it made it all the more sweeter when she redeems herself and begins to come back from that dark place she was in. The Florida scenes were utterly unnerving in how empty Kim was, but then it was so cathartic to see her finally let all that emotion out (and Rhea Seehorn absolutely KILLED IT, she was ROBBED at the Emmy's). Her scene with Jesse was beautiful too, and a perfect example of how to do fan-service in a meaningful way. Also, as a devoted Howard Hamlin stan, I loved seeing him haunt the narrative and watching Cheryl stand up for him again.
"Saul Gone" (BCS, S6E13)- another excellent and worthy conclusion to an amazing show! Jimmy is one of my favorite characters, and like with Kim, it was so beautiful to see him find himself again. I'm very fascinated by Jimmy's coping mechanisms for his grief & guilt, and this episode is where we see them finally be torn down. The whole confession scene is wonderful, A+ writing and acting. Particularly him finally saying out loud that his actions led to Chuck's suicide -- that knowledge has controlled Jimmy for the past three seasons, and him facing it at last is the final nail in the coffin for Saul Goodman. Saul is Gone, and Jimmy McGill remains. I love it.
"Lantern" (BCS S3E10)- this one killed me on rewatch. Watching Chuck completely unravel and destroy his home after he was finally on the road to recovery from his mental illness. Howard and Chuck's falling out, with Howard's pain in having to force Chuck out of HHM and Chuck's pain in losing the last good relationship that he still had in his life. "You've never mattered all that much to me."🫠💔 Chuck's suicide, and knowing how it will haunt the narrative, how it will lead to Howard's destruction in P&E and Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman. Daggers. The whole episode - Daggers.
"Fly" (BrBa S3E10)- I am so so glad this episode exists. It wasn't necessary towards the plot at all, but it's such a wonderful little character study. The first half is comedic gold, some of my favorite whacky Walt + Jesse banter. Then the slow shift to the more somber and pensive tone as the sleeping pills set in. Everything is just dripping with importance and symbolism. Especially "it's all contaminated" -- one of my favorite lines in the whole show. And Walt’s speech about the perfect moment for him to have died... I don't even know the word for what that evokes in me. "Beautiful" doesn't cut it. It's ethereal.
"Peekaboo" (BrBa S2E6)- if I wanted to show someone why I love Jesse Pinkman and could only pick one episode to do it, Peekaboo would be that episode. It so perfectly encapsulates his character. Jesse goes to a house to threaten and get money from two junkies, and spends the entire episode trying to look after their neglected child. His conscience and decency at constant odds with the necessity of appearing strong and dangerous. And this is reinforced by the episode's bookends - Jesse delights in a small bug before Skinny P comes along and squishes it, foreshadowing the horror of Spooge getting his head squashed. Jesse is a sensitive soul scrambling for control in a world of the blackest violence. I'm so glad it never was able to fully consume him.
Honorable mentions:
"Point and Shoot" (BCS S6E8) and "Fun and Games" (BCS S6E9)- I feel so bad leaving both of these out of the top 10, because they are such phenomenal episodes. But I feel like my favorite moments are scattered across them and "Plan and Execution", and it's really the triad of episodes that makes up one of my favorite arcs in either show. So as individual episodes they don't quite outrank the others I have, but in spirit they are definitely up there sharing the #3 spot with P&E.
"Better Call Saul" (BrBa S2E8) and "4 Days Out" (BrBa S2E9)- I have to give a shoutout to two of my favorite chaotic and hilarious Breaking Bad episodes. Walt and Jesse's dynamic is so perfect in 4 Days Out, and Saul absolutely killed his introduction to this universe (+ the additional heartbreak of rewatching knowing why he was so freaked out about Lalo).

Turning Page - a Simon Bootles x Reader
Part 1 - 1729
Chapter 1: Black Sheep
Foreword: This is based on Damien's character from episodes 3-6 of Board AF Legacy: Betrayal! I haven't seen any Simon Bootles fanfictions on tumblr or on Ao3 (which shocked me, there's fics of everything there!) So, I took matters into my own hands. Simon is one of my favorite characters Damien has done and personally as soon as you put a man in horns he becomes my #1 priority tehe!! I felt like a serious author while I was writing this, so please appreciate the detail I put in to this lol. Anyway, enough rambling. Enjoy Turning Page - a Simon Bootles x Reader fic!
╔═════════════ஓ๑♡๑ஓ═════════════╗
I sat on the lip of my bedroom’s main window pane, looking out at the lush forest that grew behind my family’s estate. While the trees are beautiful, they are intertwined with nothing but danger. At least, that’s what my father always told me. I was never allowed past a certain point. When I was a child, the reason for that was easily explained away by my parents assuring me that I would get lost.
“We just love you so much, darling. We would hate for you to be found by wolves and be raised in a cave! Now, sit still.” She said, brushing my hair on the portico facing the woods. She would say the same joke every single time I asked, and then would laugh at the ridiculousness of the idea.
“Wolves don’t have hair brushes, just sharp teeth! But you already look unkempt enough.” My older sister, Margot, shouted from the other side of the yard.
“Don’t be ridiculous, they wouldn’t want to take someone as homely looking as her anywhere near their cave! They would probably just eat you!” yelled Garrison. It’s every older brother’s responsibility to traumatize their younger siblings. Then, it’s the younger sibling’s job to forgive and forget.
Mother would scold Garrison and Margot, I would sit and cry. Not only because of the terrible things they’d say, but because I had no way out. I wanted so badly to run into the woods. Away from all of the yelling and fighting. The tormenting and teasing. The oppressive behavior I faced at the hands of my own family. It wasn’t until I grew older that I started to appreciate how good I had it. Rather than go down the path of my spoiled siblings, I learned to accept that others in this world faced much worse than I.
But that still didn’t stop me from wanting more. The wolf jokes stopped working by the time I turned 18. I knew I wouldn’t get lost, and I think my parents knew that too. I couldn’t help but think to myself that they were conspiring against me. My mind ran wild with the possibilities of what I’d find in the forest - what my parents were hiding from me. Maybe I had been kidnapped as a baby, and my real family lived in a cottage out there. My personal favorite theory was that they were scared I’d meet a handsome yet dangerous stranger, and he’d whisk me away somewhere where they’d never see me again.
My overactive imagination is what caused them to regret teaching me to read the books in our library.
So here I sat, forehead leaning against my window pane. Drowning in my own thoughts. I looked out at where the sky met the tallest tree, and let my mind romanticize the shade of purple that the sunset brought into view.
‘I could stay like this forever,’ I thought to myself. But, nothing ever lasts forever. I heard a knock on my bedroom door. It was one of the house attendants coming to fetch me for dinner.
“(Y/N)? Your mother and father have requested your presence in the dining room.” she said. Despite her voice being small and quiet, it carried through my large room.
“You know, you could have just said ‘dinner is ready’ and I’d likely be twice as eager to get downstairs.” I laughed. She gave me a strained smile, seemingly to appease me. No one in this house really appreciated my humor as much as I did. I’m not entirely sure where I developed my cynicism, but it might have been from the years of family members telling me to be quiet. Then, of course, that leads to the question of where I developed my defiance. There’s always one member of every family that goes against the grain… so that’s that I suppose.
I took one final look out of my window at the sunset, knowing I wouldn’t see it again tonight. It was like an old friend to me at this point. I found comfort knowing that it would always be there. But, by the time dinner would finish, it would be dark out. I don’t find the shapes of the constellations nearly as beautiful as the color that the sun and sky make together. I dragged my finger along the keys of the piano in my room as I left. I walked down the grand staircase and crossed the foyer into the dining room, where I found my family. My mother and father sat on both ends of the long table. Margot sat next to father, and tonight she had brought her husband. Jeffrey Carmine was a proper dickhead. I hated him with every fiber of my being. Only fitting that my snob of a sister would marry someone as disgusting as him.
I took my seat next to my mother, and placed my napkin in my lap. As I did this, I glanced up at my mother. She smiled to herself. I pleased her by showing the manners she had taught me. Luckily, that was all it took to get her to stop breathing down my neck for the night.
The dining room doors flung open, and in came Garrison with his fiancée - Alice. She was an incredibly well-meaning woman. She’s been sweet to me since the day we met. While Margot married well within her league, Alice seemed to have settled for my ass of a brother. But I truly didn’t mind, I enjoyed having her in my life.
Garrison and Alice took their seats on the other side of my mother, with my brother sitting next to Jeffrey. They always got along, since they share the same brain cell. They immediately started chattering, whilst Alice and my mother began discussing the wedding plans. Garrison and Alice were currently living in our house, and they would be until they were properly married. Until then, I had to deal with the torture of living with someone who never matured past the age of 8.
I looked around my family and noticed that there was an empty chair right next to me. An unusual occurrence, since our dining room attendants typically pulled enough chairs to seat every person. However, I brushed it off as nothing but a mistake on their part.
Suddenly, Garrison takes a stand. He steps up on his chair, and Alice offers her hand to balance him.
“Everyone,” my brother’s confident voice booms and echoes through the high ceilings dining room, “I have an announcement-”
“Alice is pregnant!” Mother interrupts. It came out as more of a squeal - I couldn’t tell if it was due to the excitement of her golden child reproducing, or due to the horror of her golden child having a baby out of wedlock.
“No. At least, not yet. My announcement tonight is more of a proposition! I have a friend from my school days that is tending to business in the city, and he wrote to me asking for a place to stay. I offered him our guest suite so that he needn’t travel a full day to complete his work.”
“So, you’re standing on a chair to ask if your friend can spend the night here?” I ask, laughing to myself at how stupid he looks. My mother slapped my hand with the flat side of her steak knife, and cleared her throat. I flinched and brought my hand under the table. It stung.
“(Y/N), please don’t speak out of turn. Your brother clearly has more to say.” My father hisses at me. I squint at him in disbelief.
“He’s standing on a chair, and you’re scolding me for interrupting?” I ask, a laugh escaping me once more, “I’ll admit I’m enjoying you making a fool of yourself, Garrison. But this is the most ridiculous and dramatic display I’ve ever seen! I mean how important must a man be in your life to cause you to act in such a way-”
Almost on cue, one of our house attendants came through the dining hall’s double-doors. He bowed his head to address us, and spoke up.
“So sorry to interrupt, but your final guest has arrived; Mister Simon Bootles.” He says.
I look towards the doors to see a man turn the corner and pass through the doorway. He was certainly a handsome man, but the first thing that caught my eye was his royal purple vest. I’ve never seen such a color anywhere else. The only thing close to it would be the sunset I look out at each evening.
He gave a polite smile, and his eyes met mine. They were a beautiful shade of brown. Who was this handsome stranger? Was he the one that would whisk me away into the woods? I smiled back at him, but his smile faltered. I made his smile disappear with a mere glance.
Suddenly, all of the memories of my brother and sister calling me ugly reared their heads like a snake with 1,000 heads. Why would my face cause someone I’ve never met to stop whatever joy their face expressed? Was something wrong with me? Or was he just as cruel as my brother?
“Simon! What a delightful surprise,” my father said, “Garrison, all you had to say was who you planned on inviting into our home, and I would have said yes in a heartbeat.”
“I’m glad you feel that way, sir!” Simon said, “and I truly appreciate the hospitality. You see, my work is incredibly exhausting and it would have taken over two days to travel from my home to the city.”
“No need to explain yourself, Simon. You’re welcome anytime! Please, have a seat.” mother said. Simon made his way to our side of the table and sat in the once empty chair next to me. Now that he was closer, I studied his face for a beat.
Now I remember. Simon was Garrison’s best friend in college. The last time I saw him was over 2 years ago, when they finished their schooling and our family hosted a large party in their honor. Despite it being only 2 years, he and I looked vastly different from who we were back then. Clearly, he had been taking better care of himself. Maybe he’s not used to seeing someone as homely as me in whatever high society he comes from. That’s probably why he looked so disgusted when he saw me. Just another pompous ass like the rest of them.
“I’m sorry, do I have something on my face?” He asked. Had I been staring?
“No, sorry. I was just staring off into space and your large face was in my way.” I retorted. It felt good to hurl an insult at him before the weekend of mistreatment began. It excited me to finally be the one to strike first.
“(Y/N) (Y/L/N)! Watch your manners. That is no way to speak to a guest,” my mother snapped. “I’m so sorry about her, Simon. You know how it is to have a black sheep in your family, I’m sure.” Hearing my mother call me out for being different hurt. Especially in front of everyone. But, I knew what she expected of me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in through my nose. I turned to Simon with a small smile on my face.
“I’m sorry, Simon. How rude of me! I think your face is perfectly average.” I said. I had been made a fool within seconds of him arriving. He looked slightly taken aback. I wasn’t sure if it was because of my apology or what my mother had said. Maybe he felt bad for me? He had quickly redeemed himself in my mind.
“Thank you… I appreciate that. For the record, I think your face is too!” He laughed. Nevermind, he was just as much of an ass as I thought. Everyone else at the table laughed too. They were all laughing at me. Alice made eye contact with me from across the table. She was smiling and laughing with the rest of them, but I wanted to believe she was doing it for the sake of survival, not ridicule. I must have looked pretty upset, because Margot spoke up.
“Don’t make that face, (Y/N)! As you age, that will cause wrinkles. You won’t stay young forever.” She said. Jeffrey laughed.
“No one will want to marry you if you look like an old hag by 25!” He said. Everyone laughed once more. I didn’t deserve this.
I stood up abruptly, knocking my chair backwards as I did so. The laughs immediately stopped.
“Shut your mouth Margot. Fuck off, Jeffrey. How dare you all let Simon speak to me that way? Did you not see how he looked at me when he walked in? Like I was a parasite? Garrison invites some man off the street to stay with us, and you’re already treating him better than your own child.” I said.
But I didn’t say that. I had already caused enough of a scene.
Feeling overwhelmed, I left the room without saying a word. I headed straight to my room and closed the door, being careful not to slam the door. I knew that would only cause problems. I hated feeling like I wasn’t allowed to be angry. I hated that my brother just got to bring whoever he wanted into our home without any objection. I hated that I was stupid enough to think that Simon was handsome when he saw me as nothing more than mud on his shoe. I hated that he made my family laugh at me within seconds of being here. Is this how it would be during his entire visit?
I walked over to my window. The sky was already too dark to see any more beautiful colors. I already knew I would go to bed unhappy, but this solidified that fact.
I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I walked over to it and spoke to whoever it was, careful not to open the door so they wouldn't see me cry.
“I’m sorry to have caused a scene, I’ll do better in the future. I didn’t mean to embarrass us in front of our guest. I should have known better. I’m sorry.” I threw out every possible phrase I could to conjure up an apology worthy of forgiveness. A long silence hung in the air.
“Actually, I was hoping to apologize to you. May I come in?” It was him; Simon. He wished to apologize?
“I- I suppose…” I opened the door and there he stood. The look on his face was sad in a way, I couldn’t tell if the missing component was shame or desperation. He looked at me with downcast eyes. I turned my back on him and walked further into my room. He followed.
“Listen, I am so sorry about what I said. I thought that we were just joking with one another, I didn’t realize my words would have struck such a nerve with you.” He said. I paused for a moment.
“Close the door.” I finally said. He looked taken aback by how direct I was, but he didn’t miss a beat. He closed it immediately. Silence fell between us once again. I was trying to figure out a way to phrase what I wanted to say. I began to speak.
“My entire life, I have tried to get my family to love me. You show up, and you’ve won them over by simply associating with my brother. How? Why? Why do they like you more than me? You’re not even their child- I am!” As I said that, I could feel my nose and corners of my eyes start to prick and sting. I needed to relax before I embarrassed myself even more than I had.
“I’m sorry. You don’t need to hear all of that, I’m sorry. I’ve just been really sick of the way I’m treated as of late. You didn’t deserve all of that information being thrown onto you. I’m sorry.”
“You’ve just said ‘I’m sorry’ for a 5th time since I walked in.” he said.
“Oh.” was all I said. I bit my tongue from apologizing once more.
“Do they treat you like that often? Like a so-called ‘black sheep’?” He asked. I nodded in response, “Then I suppose I chose the wrong member of the family to spend my time with.”
I smiled down at my feet, so he wouldn’t see. He was charming, I'll give him that.
“You should probably go back down so they don’t worry about you.” I said, folding my arms across my stomach. I looked back up at him and his eyes met mine.
“...and why should they worry?” He asked, taking a step towards me.
“Oh, you didn’t know? Prolonged exposure to the family’s pariah could have lasting effects on your wellbeing.” I quipped. He laughed and looked down, then back up at me.
“Then I had better hurry back.” He turned and walked towards the door. Before he left, I called after him.
“Simon?” He stopped with his hand on the doorknob.
“Yes?”
“Can you tell them I apologized for causing a scene?”
“Of course, (Y/N).”
“A-And can you mention that you didn’t mind my outburst?”
“Yes, of course.” He smiled and opened the door. Before closing it, he lingered again.
“For the record, I prefer the wool from a black sheep far more than that of a white sheep’s.” He said, over his shoulder. He closed the door, and I was left there smiling like an idiot. I wondered how I would respond if he had stayed a second more.
“And for the record,” I would say, “If an outburst is what it took to get you into my room, I might just have to raise my voice at God himself each night.” He would smile and stay behind, and we would talk about how horrible my family is all night.
I dressed myself in my nightgown and climbed into bed, blowing out the candles that had been lit by my attendants while I was away at dinner. I laid there for what felt like hours, just staring at the ceiling. I was thinking of Simon. His hair, his eyes, his clothes. If I had felt like the purple of the sunset was my only friend before, it was only fitting that I felt a connection to the man in a purple vest.
I finally drifted off to sleep, excited to see Simon again tomorrow.

lmao ok last review of the season
That was the most mediocre thing I've ever seen. THAT was their finale?? LAST week's episode felt more like a finale than whatever milk toast this was.
And don't come for me with that "oh Hannah you'd be upset if they actually did something too weh weh" crap. YEAH I PROBABLY WOULD BE. Cause every single episode of this entire season has been one of two models:
Lets do Absolutely Nothing
Lets do The Worst Possible Thing But Make It Stupid, Too
So I guess in the grand scheme of things it's better to have gone the do Absolutely Nothing route for the finale. But also what a disappointing end to the most disappointing and shit season yet.
Aight let's talk specifics.
Why the fuck was that so easy to do. Din didn't even have to be there for any of that. They could have sent him a postcard later on like "ay whats up we retook mandalore" and it would have had the same impact. Nothing anyone did mattered because Axe just ended up dropping an entire ship on top of Gideon, negating any actual struggle.
Oh he broke the darksaber, are we going to explore the ramifications of that? Will this affect Bo-Katan who has done nothing but lust after that stupid sword for two entire seasons? Will we finally get some thought about what leadership means? Absolutely not!!!! It means nothing!! Toss it away and never speak of it again!!!!! SURE OK!!!!! GREAT.
We didn't actually physically see Gideon die and and you know how that goes so maybe he'll be back. Can't say I like that the clones he was making were clones of himself, I still think evil little grogus would have been more disturbing and fun.
oh so Paz dying didn't actually matter either, good to know we did that for shits and giggles Only.
No helmet off scene, either. Bleh. Whatever, I guess.
None of this had any actual teeth. No drama, no emotion, just a bunch of (kinda shitty actually??) CGI explosions and whoop looks like we won yay great
I'm actually very annoyed they they didn't follow up on any of the suspicious shit the armorer has been doing all season. I was SURE she was going to be one of the spies last week's episode referenced. We never did get an explanation about that, did we? lol
Okay let's look at the very limited list of things I actually did like:
Din finally adopts Grogu!!! But nope we're not doing the Mandalorian adoption rites and Din is going to act as unenthusiastic as physically possible about it. Cool cool.
Din Grogu? What. Is that how Mandalorian names work???? You know what would have helped with this? Some actual Mando lore at all at any point in this entire season about Mandalorians. Wow.
This isn't really a list of things I liked huh
sorry lol
Uhhhh IG is back? I think? Maybe? Hard to tell if its actually him or just a reset IG-11 model. So was IG-12 a totally different droid??? (Also if it was literally as easy as stopping by any random bar and finding a head why didn't we do that in the first place. What the fuck.)
uhhhh they have a very tiny little house now? With a froggie pond! That's cute.
Din still refuses to actually call Grogu his child in any capacity, despite just literally adopting him as his own. Din get over your issues, that kid has been yours since the second you made eye contact with him. I wouldn't be as annoyed by this if they'd given me any reason why Din would be so hesitant to call Grogu family.
Everything about this just felt too easy and too neat. It's an entire episode of "blink and you miss it because it took 5 seconds and no work to do" events that have zero emotional payoff because they wasted the entire season on stupid shit that was never followed up on or made any sense.
My only decent takeaway is Din and Grogu both survived, nothing that happened this season apparently matters AT ALL to ANYTHING, so maybe things can get back to normal next season.
I hope we get some kind of official explanation for this at some point. I maintain that something must have happened internally for the writing to suddenly take such a drastic and obvious nosedive. All I can hope is that this was a temporary fluke and I don't have more seasons of this kind of boring nonsensical bullshit to look forward to.
Season overall gets a .5/10. And that's being generous. Disney, you should be ashamed of yourselves. "Best season yet" my entire ass.
I wash my hands of this season.

alright casual 911 viewer roomie was traveling this week so we had to rewatch 6x11 last night, her thoughts below:
"This child (Jee)'s sleep schedule is a plot device"
when Buck get's rolled into the hospital "too many sad dads. and one very sad husband"
"HIS KIDS????????" shouted so loudly and for so long that she missed the teacher reveal and we had to rewind
Thunder by Imagine Dragons playing when coma!Buck shows up at Chimney's apartment had us both dying laughing
"No one's tchotchkes are safe" about the train in Chimney's apartment
"I hope the sister and the guy (Madney) get married at the firehouse and then gay dads (Buddie) decide to get married too in a Mamma Mia-esque 'everyone lives happily ever after' way"
Athena saying "Buck is going to be fine. He has to be" roomie responded "because this is a TV show. And he's hot. And he's one of the only single characters left"
"Awwww dream Chimney called him Buck"
"Which one is that one. They all look so similar" this is baffling to me. She got Buck, Eddie, and Doug confused all episode.
Hen saying "you'd be angry too if you lost your kid" roomie goes "THEY KILLED THE KID?????????" once again so loudly that she missed the context of how Eddie lost Christopher
"How are they not making a consistently bigger deal out of them co-raising this child. I mean I guess it's not that weird. We might have a kid together" apparently we might have a kid together, this was news to me
When Chris tells Buck he has to "come back" and coma!Buck echoes it with "I think maybe I'm supposed to come back to where it all started" she fully started sobbing. She had never seen Chris before watching this episode
"I thought she was handing him a head of cauliflower" when May is forcing a sandwich on Bobby outside the hospital. "Don't tell the people on the internet I said that!!!!" I am telling them
Had to pause for a good 15 minutes to explain the 118 extended family tree. She did not get it. To be fair the Buckley and Han parents being around does make it REALLY confusing
"ANOTHER OMINOUS TCHOTCHKE!!!!" She loved the trauma tchotchkes
"Love snarky dead drug addict dad. Wish he could stick around"
"Love how this guy floated no other alternatives beyond being in a coma dream. Like it couldn't just be a regular dream. He hasn't entertained the option that he like accidentally took a hallucinogenic drug or something" I informed her he has in fact been accidentally drugged before "Okay so I'm hearing that there were multiple other conclusions he could've come to. But he just knew it was a coma dream. okay."
"oh he knew he was in a coma dream but he was SHOCKED to see his body in a coma"
"This show is so corny"
Buck telling his parents "I know you did the best you could" roomie says "NO THEY DID NOT. They My Sister's Keeper'd you dude"
"Oop...okay. I guess" at evil!Buck
"Okay now hurry up and fix your self esteem so you can take a breath"
"through the power of self love he has summoned a magical dream ax"
Bobby asking what he was like in the dream she goes "you were like a.....spooky jokester"
"What the fuck is up with the couch metaphor"
#kind of huge that she rewatched the ep with me cuz during 6a she was just like 'fill me in on what i missed'#even after i told her there was no homoeroticism in 6x11 she wanted to watch it!!!! and make fun of it <3#roomie watches 911#911 6x11#911 spoilers#911 spec
