• They find IHY Mario wandering about, mostly the three try to find a safe place since actually none of them know they are trapped in a cartridge that has so many worlds fused together (Until they meet Grandad and Somari) and again the three mostly bond over, specially how IHY mario and the forgiven take turns to take care of Beta Marios' painting

I’m assuming that Carlos’ reader teaches like 11-12 year olds so if this isn’t what you imagine feel free to alter it, but a student in your class being a big fan of Carlos and not knowing your his wife and the student tells you about how much Carlos inspires him and writes an essay about him being your hero so you like tell Carlos and he invites the kid to the next race or something similar🥰

You took a picture of it to show Carlos by the time you got home, "he drew me? My car, that is", Carlos said as he zoomed in on the photo, "wow, he's a big fan from what I can see", he smiled, "he should come to the next race here if you wouldn't mind having him for the weekend too", he teased.

A couple of months later, the boy and his parents sat with you in the garage, watching Carlos get ready for qualifying, giving him a high five before he kissed your cheek, "drive safe, we're rooting for you!", you smiled.

Okay, understandable. It didn't personally bother me, but I totally get it not being other people's jam. But I will say that the episodes get better in production quality as they go along, and I would try each one before giving up and moving onto the next. Nightmare Time 2, especially, is a completely different viewing experience from Hatchetfield Ape Man.

And here's the kicker: IF ENOUGH PEOPLE WATCH NIGHTMARE TIME 2, WE GET MORE OF THE NERDY PRUDES CHARACTERS!! We get more of Grace, Ruth, Richie, the Lords in Black, and the Black Book. And that's just the stuff that's been confirmed (the planned Grace episode of NMT 3 sounds like the completion of the teen slasher trilogy, so I imagine Steph and Pete will probably be in it as well).

Hi Anon! I’ve been thinking about this one for a while! Sorry for the wait, I have a little bit of history with DID (as in I don’t suffer personally, but have been close with others that do), so wanted to get this one right. Blitwing was unironically a comfort character originally due to said struggles and trying to strike a balance between ‘funky space-german giant robot villain’ and ‘this is a serious real life condition with a lot of misinformation and prejudices’ can get a tad challenging.

Anyhoo, Long post alert. DID is discussed but no real warnings for this one. Lets go!

Blitzwing x DID!Reader

- DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) results in humans having multiple, distinct personalities – from as few as 3 or 4 (like our favourite triplechanger) to up to 100 in some cases. The Jekyll & Hyde - esque nature of yours is something you’re at least slightly grateful for – at least it’s simple!

- Granted, it doesn’t really help when your city is attacked by giant space robots. Repeatedly. Every week. Both personalities agree it’s a pain in the neck – switching out and coming-to mid war zone with no warning isn’t exactly relaxing.

- Your first meeting was very subtle. Crawled behind overturned cars and bridge rubble, ducking down as the buildings behind you were ripped up with a squeal of steel and concrete. An enormous giant tank/plane/robot shaking the ground, hollering with rage at a bright yellow little car zooming in the distance.

- “JOU PATHETIC LITTLE BUG!! I’LL - cUt JoU iNtO iTTy BiTtY stReaMerS!! HAhAha vE’re gOnNa haVe a PaRty – at jour base, perhaps, now zat ve know where it is, Autobot~”

- You couldn’t believe your fucking eyes -

- “Holy Shit SAME HAT?!”

- Red eyes snap to your dumbfounded expression, narrowing.

- Yeah. Maybe hollering it across no mans land wasn’t the smartest move.

Icy:

- He had no idea his affliction could be shared with organics. He didn’t even realise he was witnessing DID at first as you can’t literally switch faces. Come to think of it – I’m not sure cybertronians even have a word for it. He adopts your terms like a duck to water.

- Of the three he’s the most fascinated observer. He’s quick to document any minor tone shifts or facial expressions to indicate a switch between your two personalities – as well as the speed at which you change, your stressors and mannerisms. He can’t imagine dealing well if someone were to – somehow – get his alters mixed up, so he takes pains to greet both personalities properly.

- Is more likely the one to ask questions and approach the subject scientifically: though he will back off if the ‘Jekyll’ personality gets in his face about being treated like a science experiment. He knows the feeling and despises it.

- Just because he’s calm about it though, doesn’t mean he’s moralistic. Icy has a known sadistic streak and enjoys setting up situations to hurt people (see: the almost-murder of the Constructobots) so he’d be… intrigued to see how far your aspects were willing to go. He’s an enabler of destructive behaviour that specialises in not getting you caught.

Hothead:

- Hothead, by contrast – is much more reactive: blunt and easily confused.

- He will likely get your alters mixed up and become flustered and annoyed until he gets the hang of who is presenting when. Give him a bit, he despises asking Icy for help with anything.

- Yeah, of course he can – what do you MEAN you can’t communicate with your alters internally?? Do organics not come with a built in comm?? What the FRAG-

- He doesn’t like feeling out of sorts about finding someone with his condition. As far as he’d known, they were the only one ever to be split as they are. Someone who knows what it’s like, while desperately needed, is now almost unnerving.

- But he is an excellent vent buddy about multiple personality issues. If your alters want to chat shit about each other then Hothead is DOWN, he has a list of complaints about Icy and Random a mile long – even though airing them gets him interrupted by said alters all the damn time.

- Hothead will encourage violent coping mechanisms to your problems: if you have someone bothering you with some horror-movie assumptive bullshit about your disorder he is 1000% percent encouraging you to lure them behind a building for him to grind under his pedes.

Random:

- NEW FRIENDS?! New friends INSIDE of friends, oh he just wants to stuff you in his mouth and unravel you -

- Random is probably the first of the three to recognise your shared disorder. And when he gleefully tells his alters they don’t believe him (at least at first). Which doesn’t matter because you are now BEST FRIENDS. He’s gonna scoop you up and stuff you in his cockpit and make you a little hole in the mines riiiiiiight next to his berth. Don’t worry about telling him yes - he already knows your address!

- No matter how threatening you might think yourself to be, to Random you are the most adorable schmoopsie moo in the whole galaxy and he will commit war crimes to have you tucked into his pockets.

- Do not. Try him. In one-upmanship. Random knows exactly how far he will go to keep you with him and unlike Icy, who prefers to observe from a distance, Random will actively engage in finding very uncomfortable boundaries very quickly. Pretty much the only way to reign him in is to not play along in the slightest.

- He hates being ignored.

- He wants to hear and know everything about you, and will hop between subjects to a pattern only he knows. He’s exhausting, but probably also the most honest and vulnerable of the personalities.

- With Random, it’s most obvious that Blitzwing has total, universal acceptance of your personalities as they are. No dismissal, no belittling, no questions and no doubt.

- I’d say thats a breath of fresh air.

I literally was brainstorming the plot for a lps MOVIE, and there were vivid VISIONS of a fanmade trailer in my head OKAY OKAY!!!

I COULDNT SLEEP LAST NIGJT BWCAUSE OF THIS I HAVE TO GET THIS DOWN

(Rant under cut >-<) Feel free to give your own ideas i would love to read them!!!

Visuals:

Okay so imagine the mlp movie and how they did their models, how crisp and clean with the simple airbrushing at shading points right? Polished and well animated, looking semi-3D? Yeah imagine that but paired with LPS. I think it would look stunning. It would be understandable because both MLP and LPS are made by Hasbro.

I imagined a dynamic 3D-like zoom beginning from the clouds down onto Down-Town city, zooming down the skyscrapers, city park, across bright alleys and busy streets. At some point the pov points towards pets being walked by their owners down to a busy shop of lps.

The drone-like accseleration would cruz through the busy shop of pets jumping for treats and the ring of the cash register from paying customers. Then, finally, the daycare, the theater speakers blasting cute pop music and chattering criters enjoying their time there. With all 7 pets running around doing their little characteristic things and their modles being displayed,. The old timer people watch as they claw at their seats, excited to see their favorite characters.

Then a rattle comes from the Dumb waiter, and this is where we meet the main protagonist, Blythe, off to go to school.

(Stop this looks so good in my head i hope you get it) (i feel like the animation style would be a pixar/illumination style if not hasbro

Plot:

I feel like the plot would be very cliché like something related to Blythe's Mom, since she was brought up and obviously absent (i hope they didnt apply that she's not dead because then this wouldn't work) but ill go with this plot for now.

I think blythe's mom would reside somwehere in a jungle, in a treehouse even, as a ranger. She would use her gift to aid animals and help them through climate change and relationship problems and sortage. Etc. Haven't fleshed this part out yet.

This movie would be an Adventure Comedy Rated G. (I dont really know how much angst i want in this but whatevr)

Blythe and the pets will be going through an adventure to find out if Blythe's mom is still alive .. as Blythe finds a shread of hope, a clue.. of where she could be.

The pets will be going through airports, a rural city in the east continent, jungles, and especially shenanigans.

Now this just came to me, what if blythe brings the pets with her by the permission of the owners through a cruz or something, THEN being stranded (ignore this happening in the show okay) or something out of Blythe's control where now Blythe and the pets have to face being both lost, on a time crunch, and blythe's quest as a lesser priority. Because if blythe doesnt bring the pets back, she could be in serious trouble.

Characters:

Blythe Baxter: Main character energy. Helps point the plot in the right direction while also being the most hopeful about her success in finding her mom.

Roger: A silly goose that nearly messes up the plot with his clumsyness. Dont know if he will be apart of blythe being lost.

Twombly: probably very little dialog, unfortunately.

Zoe: Comentary and would get distracted easily with herself, would help with discovering scents and tracking. The most observant.

Pepper: lightens up the mood with her jokes. She even does this in glim and depressing sequences but slowly trails off when she realizes her failure. She would then wallow in the mood while feeling guilty.

Penny Ling: The most useful when finding food of substance that is sonsumable. It is also helpful with being extremely charming and cute in some instances. The heart of the group.

Minka: The most energetic and finds upcoming trouble first. What isn't helpful is how she freaks out crazily to the point where it makes all the pets panic even more. Otherwise, she is the eye of the group.

Sunil: AHHHHHH! He worries a lot.. sort of anxious about everything new around him.

Vinnie: AHHHHHH's with Sunil. Somewhere in the movie, he would find our something utterly impossible - for comedy - that literally no other living being would figure out. This would reference the many times he did something 'smart' to contrast with his character.

Russel: Group parent, bossy pants, and nerd. Too much dialog. Wayyy too much. At some point, one pet even brings up this detail of how he's such a yapper.

Biskits: Totally like ew. Their like so cool and stuff. Yeah.. The young adult demographic LOVESSS them like Velvet and Veneer from Trolls 3. In each separate scene, they wear a new slaying outfit.

Cashmere and Velvet have a cameo btw

Character interaction:

There will be small details in some scenes, kind of easter eggs at some sort like where one is hugging the other or making sure they're okay. Or a pet observing a butterfly ykwim.

(*cough cough* sunil and vinnie hugging when scared)

I honestly feel like there would be random lore drops, like idk how a pet was adopted/raised (SUNIL WAS OBVIOUSLY RAISED AS A BABY) idk i just really want that in a movie like, lore of a character that sounds awesome.

The pets would be super caring with each other. And during their worst, they will comfort verbally or physically whenever one feels down. They will protect one another like family. They will cry. They will suffer.

All characters will experience something out of their comfort zone. All characters will receive character development. Blythe will prioritize her mom over the pets. That's right, you heard me. She will care less about the pets at some point.

She would be so caught up in her own world that she wouldn't notice the pain she's causing her pets by dragging them with her through this journey. How hard it would be to cope with such stress.

Conflict:

That leads to conflict. Blythe's neglectful behavior would lead to a more serious scene where she breaks down at the idea that maybe, her mom is gone. How all evidence points to her death or some other factor. That maybe if she was just a few days earlier, she could have seen her. She could have met her.

Trailers and Theater posters:

The music would be like the intro music to mlp movie , an electric guitar cover of the intro, like JUST IMAGINE HOW BADASS THAT WOULD BEEEEEEE!!!!!

I could not be clearer ENOUGH! Sunil would be in a scene of a trailer saying something like,

*anoyyed groan* "Could this day get any better?!"

*as sacrastic as possible* and then it pours rain and vinnies like,

"Maybe." In a very oblivious voice.

I LOVE LO PO BIA REN! Such a funky character. His "disguise" (or more like "regular uniform" given how we see him wear it unless forced out of it in multiple instances) is absolutely ridiculous. He's a highly lethal assassin who by his own admission loves messing with people and which consistently backfires on him. Still objectively pretty good at his job though. He literally cannibalizes tough opponents or more unsuspecting victims in order to regrow his own body if severly injured. He genuinely cares about his families reputation and prestige. Gets explicitly told by his commander to not do anything rash: proceeds to immediately try and kill the Irregular personally sought out by his family leader in his sleep. Calls his colleagues "friends" while throwing a screaming fit at their Zoom meeting. He is a genuinely insightful, analytical and tactical fighter but keeps letting his emotions get the best of him (first, his amusement at toying with the Regular Princesses shaming and competing with his families at the Floor of Test, then his rage and pride in his fight against Bam (though he was up against Irregular hax, so if anything but a refusal to engage or retreat would have availed him there...)). He was sooo exited about Bam's talent and potentially recruiting him into some form of the Zahard family back in season 1 only for Bam to become a principal pawn of F.U.G. Rightfully distrusted Hansung Yu's offer to help him in his mission way back: Instincts on point (e.g. regarding Bam's much improved strength in Season 3) but again, overpowered by his stubborness and arrogance. Invoked the right to self - defense. He is the youngest employee at work. Both intentionally lethal fighting style and techniques AND a never give up attitude. Straight - up admits he is a scumbag to the core and wishes that he looked "scarier".

BUT i fucking lovee this idea, I've been wanting to write for a new character and try something new AND THIS IS ITTT

so what im thinking of is like, such a cutie patootie but cucoo in the head ya know? most of my characters are like that but i feel like

she's going to be the "oh my good I'm sooo luckkyy!!! look how cute they are omg" fangirl type of yandere ya know?

I was thinking of either making her a k-pop idol or a pop idol similar to maddison beer or Sabrina carpenter i have to think!

Pop idol who has hundreds of thousands of stans only to stan a nobody like you.. Like she has a shrine dedicated to you she pray over every day like this is A-level type of yandere...

So imagine her shock when she sees you at a fan signing her group's hosting, she damn near faints and begs for you to look in her direction one more time!

And when you line up to her queue? To see her?! She goes fucking crazy, stumbling as she signs whatever shit every other unworthy fan wants her to sign, mumbling and barely replying in anticipation for your turn, only for you to look so... Unhappy to be there? What? Maybe you're just like her! Maybe you wanted this to be one on one! Not with a hundred other people! She can arrange that don't worry! She will have everyone kicked out of the venue if you dare so ask.

Finally come your turn only for you to be so dismissive of her and her presence... Do you... Do you hate her? Do you not remember her from high school? Are you only here to get something signed only to sell it for hundreds on the internet later?

And when she questions you, you reply almost with a hostile tone, "I'm only here to get this signed for my friend, she got sick before she could get to this stupid signing and begged me to do it for her... I don't like you or your company."

Ynadere pop idol goes into shock as you snatch the autographed copy of her photo and zoom to the next booth. You.. You have a friend? A female friend? That you'd do anything for? Even over something you... You hate? Why would you hate her? She hasn't done anything wrong! Sure she may have collaborated with a company that partakes in animal testing but she didn't know that when she signed the contract! And she's only doing that to get paid! You'd do anything for a check!

The next few weeks she obsessed over every minscule detail in your life as she stalks you even worse than before, your underwair now hanging high and mighty at the top of her shrine for you. Of course with her popularity she managed to whisk you away from your life of depression and anxiety to her penthouse! Don't worry darling~ she'll spoil you to the ends of the earth!

I HAVE ONE OBJECTION TO YOUR OTHERWISE STELLAR META ON THE DOJO SCENE/RUBY'S BREAKDOWN!

I would say as of recent there is now one other character *besides* Oscar who takes notice of how much Ruby is struggling and breaking, who uplifts and comforts her without placing any expectations on her in the process... That of course being Little.

The only one still with Ruby. (*gestures to Little being framed in Jinxy's jar of hope that Ruby can't fill all the way, because Little is meant to represent the last spark of Ruby's hope and inner child*)

I don't think they'll have the perfect wise or uplifting words to say to Ruby (and I'm not sure she'd want to hear them right now anyway, she just needs to feel what she's feeling and let the rain pour, metaphorically and literally). But I imagine if Ruby asks them why Little is still with her, why don't they just leave her alone, and Little saying that they just want to be there for Ruby because she's sad, and because Ruby is their friend, and they don't know what else they can do for her. And that's all. And then Ruby will cry and I'll cry and we all will cry.

Also this ask may just be an excuse to share a headcanon I have, of if Little returns with Ruby to Remnant, that Oscar makes food for everyone to celebrate their return, and also gifts a tiny picnic basket especially for Little and says something like: "thank you for being Ruby's guide when she was feeling lost" because she was lost physically but also *felt* lost too and just. Little has taken on the purpose to be Ruby's guide, and I think that's going to apply in more ways than just helping her get back home.

YOU ARE SO TRUE!!! i was so caught up in the parallels and RG that I left our little friend behind 😭 Before I do get into it, do want to just acknowledge that what you mentioned about how Little might handle this is absolutely all that Ruby needs right now. I've seen some discussions around about people saying WBY haven't supported Ruby enough (valid, as are their reasons for not being able to) but the counter argument is often that they can't force her to dump about her trauma and it's like... no. Secret hidden third option. Just give her some time to rest, acknowledge how hard this is on her and how much this sucks without sugar coating it, and remind her that you're there to lean on if she needs it. I really hope that she gets that from Little in the coming episode(s).

BUT YES. SPEAKING OF LITTLE. YOU ARE CORRECT. They stuck by Ruby's side in the market when her team ran off and were paying such close attention to her after they first noticed how sad she was in the paper vilage.

It's hard to catch, but I'm also fairly certain Little is the first to call out to her when she starts hallucinating against the walker. It's timed just as Little jumps up and it's just ahhhhh. YOU'RE JUST A MOUSE!!! WHY ARE YOU BEING BRAVE AND PEEKING OUT OF HER HOOD RIGHT NOW!!!

We don't see them for the entire breakdown scene before it ends with a zoom in on this. Which is just... oof...

Also I know that Little is first and foremost supposed to be a symbol for Ruby's remaining spark of hope and inner child, the literal "Little" Riding in her Red Hood... but i can't get the parallels of that mouse to Oscar outta my brain. 💀

Cinder and Nora have both called Oscar 'little'. Little Prince. Oscar paid attention to Ruby back in v6 when she said "Food always makes me feel better" and so after her confrontation with Jaune, he went and made her a freaking casserole about it. And what is one of the first things Little does upon meeting Ruby? Offer to share their food with her when she's upset. And they, just like Oscar, were the only one paying attention enough to how hard of a time she was having.

EDIT: I am currently having a convo with someone else about this and oh my god

Ruby: I've never spoken to a... mouse before. Little: Well... I guess I've never spoken to a you before! - Oscar : I've never really meet huntsman and huntresses before... Ruby: Well, uh... we've never met a person with two souls! So first times all around!

Director Matthew López noticed their spooky chemistry right away. When the actors first got together in person to rehearse, López recalls leaving them alone. “I came back about 10 minutes later and they were the best of friends already,” he says. “It was like they had known each other all their lives.” On and off set, the pair would bond by turning every little thing into a low-stakes contest: competing over silly minutiae like who’s really taller (“Alex is supposed to be shorter in the book, and then this little shit comes in at six foot two!” Galitzine says) or who could finish their scene in the fewest takes.

"We knew that we would not have a movie until we had our — I was about to say “until we had our Taylor and Nick”! — until we had our Alex and Henry. In all honesty, I don’t know if we would have ended up making the movie if we felt like we were compromising on the casting, because you get that wrong and you just don’t have a film. So it took months of searching, particularly for Alex, because I wasn’t at all certain who was going to be out there for this role, and as a Puerto Rican filmmaker I was acutely aware of the opportunity to cast this role in a way that was gonna sort of bring a new name and a new face to the public. I mean, we worked hard on their performances together but what was innate from the moment they first met was they got each other, and they got along so well together, and they played so incredibly well together."

A dream! I love those two so much. You are lucky if you get one of them working at that level, and to get both of them working at such a high level, and so astonishingly well together is just a great, great hit of luck. The thing is that they are both so perfectly cast individually but the most important thing is that we cast two people who worked well together as a team. The moment from which they first met on Zoom, they had such tremendous chemistry. We rehearsed several weeks before we started filming and then over the course of rehearsals and then the film, there became a real shorthand between them. Responding to these criticisms López told Attitude exclusively: “Anybody who criticises their chemistry doesn’t know what chemistry is.” He continued by praising Galitzine and Zakhar Perez as “trusting” and “respectful” of one another and their approaches to acting. “They gave room to each other to breathe and grow. I don’t think you can make a movie like this with two actors who don’t trust each other. You might be able to, but I don’t know if it would work. Those two from the very beginning made a decision to trust each other and to support each other.” Away from the serious side of acting, López also told Attitude that they all had fun on set. Occasionally, he explained, he had to be the one to calm the fun so they could shoot. “But those two are wonderful human beings,” López also added. “And I loved working with them. And I know that they took their jobs incredibly seriously. But, we made sure that we never took ourselves too seriously.”

And it's just, it's great working with him because I think we have a really good banter on and off screen which helps our characters when we are acting together. But I mean, we get in a lot of trouble, like we really do. We get yelled at by our first AD, Ben a lot, and Matthew tells us to calm down. Just because as soon as you're out of a scene, you're like, critiquing each other, critiquing yourself, and I think we're each other's biggest supports in the room. We both care so much, I know he cares, I know I care, and we just want to make the best product possible.

So at first i was a little confused about the glowing eye, i was looking back at the other pages and back to here and thinking about if it's just a Wild thing. Which would make sense right?

Then they throw this curve ball

MAIN QUEST EYE GLOW, IS HE THE MAIN CHARACTER? DO THEY ALL HAVE THE GLOW EYEBALL OF QUEST TRACKING?

I DONT KNOW YET BUT I'LL FIND OUT.

Man's like, bionic? eye is doing work for us and I'm here for it. the blue glow as well, yes. Just yes.

Also with this panel. We know each of the arrows while a Link is holding it points to a Link. The same goes for Zelda.

And i've been brainstorming who is who.

The detail in this is making me so excited, I'm wondering what it means when an arrow acts like this. Is it travelling towards the compass? It is exclusive to just Sky's point? Little thunderbolts spark from it.

I love a full-body shot of anyone, and I love how Wild looks! The little poncho and the details with the scaring!

Now I've not found any official names for the loftwings yet, I personally use Crimson and Luna. And will differ to these unless told otherwise. But if there are official names please please tell me! :D

Also is this the camera attachment? A zoom feature? I figure we are gonna see more of wilds ability as we go through but I'm thoroughly enjoying finding out what he can do!

This is the correct reaction when you see a GIANT BIRD flying at you at speed. The people of Wild's world have been through so much at this point the assumption of another monster first its absolutely fair.

When I tell you I had happy clappy hands at this panel I mean my phone fell to the floor with more than a thud.

There's a lot to unpack here, first the reigns with that little gold detailing from the clasp. The saddle? Is it a saddle for loftwings? The leather straps around Link's loftwings.

And Sky's design!

If you know me you know that SKSW is my fave game and that SS link if my fave in pretty much every AU that i encounter. This one is no exception

I'll go into detail later, when we have the detailed screenshots. But just look at my boy!

Also the goggles were a nice touch! It just makes sense for them to wear them, they fly so damn fast imagine the dust.

Crimson is out here getting half pages and he deserves every inch of space he gets. Such an extra boy and i love him. The details with the feathers flying from both of them too. I love it. I love them

But the detailing on the feathers and the eyes even from this far is just incredible.

From a later panel, we can see that the one at the back here is Captain. This means he not only drew his sword he was straight-up ready to fight by this point. He is fast!

Time looks worried, is Time afraid of birds? My understanding of oot is that he and the owl were friends?

Crimson totally knows this is a comic and breaks the forth wall to smile at the reader as well as the others in lookout landing. I love the details here. I love him so much.

He know's he is stunning and will flaunt it every opportunity he gets

Also Sky and Sun having matching sailcloths? I am in love. I love them both.

I'm gonna mention the feathers now too. I love the details of them having their loftwing feathers in their hair as like a head dress. That's such a cool idea i love it!

These two panels had me laughing I wont lie.

First off, Sun responds to Hylia. That is the face of someone who's heard their name. Second off, Flower is a mood. running out of bed with a sword, questions later style.

The detail on Zelda's loftwing too. Such a pretty creature. So well-behaved.

Also, Zelda(flower) asking captain what's happening and the link responds rather than one of her captains.

I really like captain, He's a chill guy. while Sky is just confused. Really cool of captain to be the one to introduce first, he seems to be the one who will be the main referral when it comes to authority. I assume he will be the one who introduces first for all of them.

Time for me to be excited about their designs.

Skyloftian goggles, I love it. It just makes so much sense.

I love Sun, Her dress, the way she's got an sailcloth wrapped around her shoulders like that, the way she's got loftwing feathers not only behind her ears but at the end of her longest braid too. I'm very excited to see more with her.

And Sky! where do i start without going on a twenty minute rampage about him. The way he's got his sailcloth around one shoulder like that. I assume to make it easier to use if he ever needs to use it to land. The loftwing feather hanging off his belt. (Which I notice Zelda doesn't have. Is this just a him thing?)

I can't get over the headdress with the loft wing feathers. Is that a skyloftian thing? Is it ceremonial? Is it because they wanted matching headgear?

I want to know more about Skyloftians in this universe.

Also totally not Sky being an absolute cinnamon roll. Beloved. I love him.

Time and Malon are an absolute mood. time just existing in a state of confusion. And Malon being excited about loftwings. Me too malon, Me too! Let Malon ride one of the loft wings as soon as possible.

Captain behaving like a dad already. Gives me 'Where is the wild child' vibes. Which is funny, cause Wild is older than him.

Oh and I will mention the scars on Sky's face, I love the scars that they all have. It's all so detailed. Sky's lightning, Captain's burns. And the two cuts on his face.

The fact that this is an expression at all, let alone one that the rest of them are not going to understand cause you know, No remlits on the surface. Poor cinnamon roll man is confused.

Again chill dude with all the friends, i love Captain so much. He's just here to help you out.

Oh man, I enjoyed this update, this was good. I love Sky he is wonderful.

If u don't mind me asking how have u been finding bg3. I wanna get it for myself, so I would love to know how u r finding it so far. ❤️

Overall, I enjoy it. I think the art is beautiful and the characters are all interesting [even the ones I dislike or am eh about]. I find the villains - thus far - compelling. It is VERY easy to get lost in. And I love, love, LOVE the character creator. I can waste so much time on it [and whew discovering dyes and getting into part three and buying outfits??]

Mods make it more enjoyable, imo. Though I am wary about adding more [I don't know if I am just downloading too many - I only have three! - or if I made a booboo in downloading but it acts up my PTs at times. But not too frequently]. It does also take a lot of energy. I believe the new laptop I got meets most, if not all, of the best qualifications and my laptop still sounds like it is dying whenever I play it. My mom thought I had bought a fucked up laptop the first time she heard the fan running.

I do have my issues with it - mostly representation-wise. But also storytelling-wise ... and sort of coding-wise? But I feel weird saying the last one because the game already has so much going on ... and I'm not a coder, I feel it is easy to complain on the last part. I WILL SAY the things they consider never fails to blow my mind. I remember one time I had Kendis stack up some material to block out [redacted] and even when the camera zoomed out of it and focused on their face, you could see in the bg that the outline of their 'tower' was still the same.

I also love the various dialogues they have. I found out from youtube that someone made Shadowheart a bard -- and they have lines for her with vicious mockery [which I believe is something clerics don't usually have] and it is wild the thought and detail!

I feel over all it is very good, not perfect but dang good, for replayability -- hence why I have so many MCs. There are certain things that sorta happen the same - though that may be a limit of my imagination - but there are plenty of little [and big] details that crop up d/t decisions I've made as I RP my character, their class, their powers in some playthroughs that weren't in others. So you get surprised, you get variation. I think it is enjoyable. I don't know if it is worth the cost because 1. I don't know your status and 2. again i DO have some issues. But my only regret in buying it is how I've let it consume my time .... not that I was doing much before that lmao.

Seeing DISCO fly like that orbiting the ship is so pretty. Lorca does captaincy pretty well so far Or at least definitely holds that air Ok so these camera cuts dont feature zooms every shot - feels infinitely better. But I dont imagine that will last. It's so odd - I want to like Lorca more but he has such a sinister air about him - which is intentional im sure. curious what his lore is. I wonder where his tribble tribbles off to Nice to see lorca caring about the purpose of his ship - science haha this is the first time ive felt evil untrustworthiness in a main starship captain damn saru just like TALK to burnham? i saw your look at her when Lorca said she's to stay. These effects are so nicee Oml how Doc Hugh just swiped the PADD's contents into the holographic screen like that, sexy its so odd to see the camera out of focus in shots that should be in focus i really love how these screens look

Kol talking is so nice to hear his voice and how klingon roles off his speech sounds relaly good Ok in these klingon scenes, they really should stop the zooms. it makes it all feel like cutscenes in a videogame. such pretty beaminggg Im curius to see how they can retain this tension Ugh seeing DISCO move like that is so pretyyyy Dude time and time again, Trek could be such a good game series. theres so much to do if they can write a rich enough basis and objective course. I know Star Trek: Resurgence is a thing, but why is it the ONLY thing like it that exists for Trek? These things really make me wonder. And make me worry I really hope Trek doesnt fade out. I recognise another aspect of why I feel confused about Burnham's character is that it hasnt been made apparent to me really her amiable or decent rooting into the crew to care about them due to all of the animosity the show was borne with. L'Rell's eyes look so gooddd Damn she was into torturing u huh Damn you just shot her like that damn poor Tyler. I love how solid the phasers look in hand I love the detail in the sets marvelous job. Ohh thats a very nice fade in to the monitor of the sensour

oml the way DISCO could just spin like that and pull DBZ teleport lmaoooooo Kol saying "wtf is it doing" lmaooo I worry that the sensour on the klingon ship is so bright and glowy would just give away its position to the klingons It's a little odd how the DISCO spins before teleportation haha intersting though Stamets said I love you but had like no gravity ack The way Stamets shakes his head side to side like that nakedly without camera effect or blured movement looked laughable. this kind of stuff just really impedes the show. when its easy to fix. The way Kol picks his teeth with the badge - the way its shot is not the best but ill say Burnham's line delivery saying "I'm the one who killed T'Kuvma" was actually really good and strong. man this show has bits and pieces of being rather fair in performance. but it gets assaulted by really amateur/dumb/distasteful constructive choice in the episodes

damn i didnt think hed put the badge on himself That looks so interesting imagine that OOOO I liked that transport midjump nice ??? really?? Kol is destroyed just like that?? that felt so fast with very little impact? Kol never really felt menacing is the thing. The scariest the klingons felt in this show so far is literally episode one. when Burnham meets this fully armoured klingon during her space flight. It was a literlaly BEAUTIFULLY DELICIOUS moment of that reveal and that bird of prey it was actually WONDERFULLY done. where has that gone. i still dont care at all for ash x burnham. itd be more compelling if they were good friends. without romance.

i feel like nothing really significant happened with Kol gone now like nothing at all. There is a certain curse that Star Trek has. That is loses a lot of steam when it attempts to deviate from TOS. I mean, i understand TOS is the essence of trek forever and always. but it also makes me sad that trek doesnt really stand on its own with much semblance of strength without TOS. It's another reason why Trek feels so small. Cargo Bay is so pretty. Lorca being humble is nice. saying thank you? nice. The filming of this episode is literlaly better. the camera direction is not done in such an annooyingly impatient jittery way as past episodes I like how we just appreciate the cargo bay environment KLINGON BOOBS. i didnt think id see that. oml dont tell me you have a stockholm syndrome thang going on :( wow thats the first time i ever seen a naked klingon. Oh shit. dont say she R'd u. that's fucked. Ok I think another reason why this episode is actually better is because its actually DARING to be more S T E A D Y . which is something htis show CRITICALLY needs desparately. stamets kissy Hugh cuteee Stamets you better not die from this last jump.

Movie Review | Cat People (Schrader, 1982)

To be honest this is a little too flabby and weirdly paced to maintain its delirious heights, but I like to chalk it up to coke bloat. This whole movie has strong cocaine energy. Far be it from me to assume Paul Schrader was under the influence of any unusual substances while making this movie, even though he apparently lost a shooting day because he was too high to come out of his trailer. I find Schrader pretty endearing when he exhibits lapses in judgment, like the punch 'em out finale of Hardcore or the majority of his Facebook posts, and this movie is one gigantic lapse in judgment. I don't know what magic Schrader worked in the boardroom when he got execs to pony up the money for a major release about a sister and brother who turn into panthers when they get aroused so the brother wants to bang the sister, but I would have liked to be a fly on the wall during the pitch meeting. I assume Schrader and the Universal head honchos were spitballing ideas in between doing lines off the gigantic boardroom table.

But lest I suggest this is just stupid bonkers bullshit, the movie has an undeniable power. Nastassja Kinski and Malcolm McDowell are perfectly cast as the siblings. I am far from immune to Kinski's feline charms on most days, and they are especially pronounced, almost overwhelming here. And McDowell brings an effortless quality to his character's depravity. As the IMDb trivia helpfully notes, this was not the first time he'd played a character looking to bang his sister, as he'd done so just a few years earlier in Caligula. I am not quite sure John Heard as Kinski's love interest sells the full extent of his character's obsession, but I did buy his sexual potency more with this viewing, as I've become acquainted with more of his work. Previously I'd mostly known him as the dad from Home Alone, but now I mostly associate him with the hunky reporter in Between the Lines and the sleazy bank CEO in Uwe Boll's scathing takedown of modern capitalism in Assault on Wall Street. This also has a number of strong supporting performances. I enjoyed Ruby Dee in a stereotype-defying role, and the camaraderie Heard has with Annette O'Toole and Ed Begley Jr. And it’s always nice to see Lynn Lowry as well. 

New Orleans in this movie is captured with a mix of attentive location work and a sense of nocturnal heat, and the fantastical desert landscapes hang over them like images stewing in the subconscious, giving the movie the quality of a waking dream. And the movie is coloured by an almost feral sexuality, understanding that if you're going to dabble in things like bestiality and incest, there's no need to play coy. As a straight man, I enjoyed all of Nastassja Kinski's nude scenes for obvious reasons, but on a cinematic level, the way she carries herself in these scenes and the horny delirium with which they're filmed lend an undeniable force to the material. (Feel free to use that line if somebody finds your search history.) Apparently there were even more nude scenes that she asked to be cut, and uh, unless these were Jess Franco style zooms on her crotch, it's hard to imagine a wide release movie being more explicit.

Anyway, any movie that ends with a reaction shot of a panther for emotional effect will earn a permanent place in my heart.

Really long Blog about the whole week

I wasn't able to write anything on Wednesday and I thought that trying to write the blog on another day would interfere with my workflow, so ill make up for it with a longer blog today.

I had a meeting with Leo on Monday where I got feedback about the design of the trick

Leo advised that if I get more time I should make an explanatory chart of the booth, Something kind of like an Ikea instruction manual.

I also run past him the idea to change the schedule and doing the UI design next instead of the magician, and he agreed, as long as I thought it wouldn't interfere. So, I changed my Gantt chart to reflect this change. Basically all I had to do was switch the tasks of week 4 with week 9I felt like the change works as I'm only switching things around for character and UI design and already have rough concept for that character

During the week I also tried learning RenPy in order to see what was possible to do with the UI instead of trying to guess and hoping that it might work if I decide I want to put together a demo at the end of the project.

I also experimented a bit wit a colour palette and started thinking about the design of the start screen. For the start screen I looked at a few recent games and how they did it and sketched some thumbnails of them. (TGAA Chronicles, AI Solminum Files, Dredge, Mask of the Rose, Frog detective, and Tangle Tower)

I saw that some of them used zoomed out locations from the game as screens for the menu, and I thought it could be a good idea to try that, as designing the locations was my next task so i would be getting ahead on and killing two birds with one stone.

I ended up coming up with this. The design of the cave exterior is pretty bland for now, but this is just the first idea, and it was very quickly sketched and put together. I liked the idea of having contrasting colours, so I experimented with bold orange and blue colours for it.

When I showed it in class, the feedback was that the orange/red colour is too intence and gives horror vibes, which wasn't really what I was trying to do.

On Wednesday we also had the symposia, which ended up being pretty useful because it turns out I was a bit confused about what the forefront posts are supposed to be

After the feedback I tried making the colour scheme for the menu screen

After that I spent some more time learning ren-py. What I found most useful in the very beginning was going into one of the default games that ren-py has, called 'the question' and editing the code to see how it aggected the game in real time, and which lines of code cause what. I only learned incredibly basic things like this, but it got me over the initial fear that I had about approaching programming

After that, I started following 'Coding with B and E' his Ren-Py for complete beginners.

I managed to learn a lot of the basics a lot quicker than I had anticipated. And the experience of learning it ranged from incredibly frustrating to really satisfying. I deceided that I wanted to see what I could do with what I had learned and created some placeholder art to use for a prototype of the game

the place holder art was for three in game locations, which was again killing two birds with one stone as it got me started coming up with ideas for the environments. I created three backgrounds with the hope that I will be able to reach my wishlist goal of adding an extra location.

I ended up creating a game loop where you can move from location to location in the game using some arrow simbols. I also added some characters, as I imagined that in the game you will be able to click characters and talk to them. (In the prototype it just notifies you that the character has been clicked, since I don't have any of the dialogue yet.)

I was able to do this through the use of image buttons, where you can code an image to trigger certain action. I also added a hover state where there is some light glow around the image when it's hovered on so that it is easier to tell that something can be clicked.

I found image buttons incredibly difficult to figure out at first, but now I feel like I got the hang of them and I could use them for finding clues, creating UI screens ect.

So that gives me a more clear impression of what I could do in terms of UI.

I also looked at Aviary attorney, as I really like the UI they have for the inventory and the and culprit UI)

Then, I brainstormed some ideas about the UI in my sketchbook, and thumbailed some ideas about how the dialogue screen could look like, about a screen where you can examine the characters, and about a people's file screen, kind of like the Aviary attorney's culprit UI screen.

I also sketched out some ideas for what the puzzle's UI could look llike

Then, I also came up with an idea for a mechanic where you can characters, clues or statements together and prove something by showing how they contradict or connect to each other.

I am not exactly sure how I would implement that yet, and the idea is really fresh in my hed still ,so I think I need to think about it more.

Schedule for next weeks:

I still want to create a better design of the booth puzzle, so I have to try squeezing it in between working on other tasks. I've gotten more of an idea for the other designs byu creating the placeholder art, so I'm hoping that that will make the process of their design faster.

Also, even though I have done a lot of work in terms of UI and prototyping, I still have a long way to go with it, especially now that making something playable seems more possible. So I will have to try doing it in paralell with other tasks too
