Have been actually shocked by the takes of Louis and Armand’s relationship dynamic that I have been seeing in which people act like Armand’s subservience is manipulative and evil.

As someone who was also a victim of grooming in my youth (though obvs not like Armand level of traumatic events bc good lord that boy cannot catch a break) I always found Armand to be a really compelling character, and I loved how they were handling the psychological impact of his abuse on his relationships within the show and they all felt very relatable to a degree. I was like mind blown by the way they handled how Louis and Armand’s pasts related to each others and thought it was super clever and it made me go “holy shit” in a way that a tv show hasn’t made me go in a long time. Though I can see where some of the takes are coming from, it has been really disheartening as a victim of grooming to see people dismiss Armand’s behavior when he’s with Louis as purely a form of manipulation on Armand’s part or a fun silly sex thing 😭😭😭

to me it seems very clear that Armand falls into subservience and behaves as the victim bcus the abuse he experienced was the closest he ever felt to feeling like he understood what he was doing and understood what he was needed for. For a lot of victims of grooming their abuse can cause them to feel safe in those types of abusive dynamics bcus it’s familiar to them, which def seems to be how it is for Armand. Armand feels constantly lost and confused and by being a slave again he returns to a time where he knew what he was, when he had someone there to tell him what he was. And it comes off very clearly to me that Louis sees this in Armand when Armand tells him about his trauma and (as he’s also in a vulnerable position) realizes that he can use Armand’s pattern of submitting to servitude to his advantage. Which!!! That is objectively fucked up im sorry 😭 and I’m tired of being in a fandom where ppl r acting like just bcus Louis is a likeable sympathetic character and Armand does mistreat Louis also, that means Louis isn’t capable of mistreating Armand. Bcus it sounds like when ppl make those excuses that they r saying sexual exploitation like that is ok 😭. Just bcus Armand agrees to and participates in it doesn’t mean Louis isn’t knowingly exploiting the trauma of a vulnerable person 😭 and it doesn’t make it ok. Like we can find it fun and sexy, but the “face down in the coffin” scene was still borderline non con sensual 😭 yknow what I’m saying? You can like Louis as ur fav and discuss how Armand is shitty to him without acting like it’s ok for Louis to pretend to be Armand’s abuser as he orders him around like an animal so he’ll do what he wants. and I understand not being able to grasp the nuance of Armand’s character, it took me like a year to fully wrap my head around him. He’s got a lot going on and it’s hard to understand why he behaves the way he does, especially if you haven’t experienced sexual trauma or grooming. But just like, y’all have to remember that it can come off as pretty shitty and bad faith to interpret a character like this as always being evil all the time. Ur reducing someone very complex and ur making some borderline offensive (also borderline racist but that’s a different rant) implications

Thorns Under The Moon (My theories and interpretations) - Major Spoilers Ahead!!

Okay holy shit you guys I needed hours to gather my thoughts and theories for this one because my god was this main story quest a rollercoaster of emotions!😭

Where do I even start OMFG, there’s so much to unpack here so please bear with me if my thoughts are a little scattered! Also this will be a long rant so please feel free to ask questions or share your opinions too!!

Firstly can we please just appreciate how husband coded Zayne really is? Like him and MC have the most canonly romantic relationship in the main story quest till now! With the other boys, MC isn’t as romantically involved as she is with Zayne imo and I absolutely adore that!

ALSO JEALOUS ZADDY? Yes please I had so much fun🤤🤤 (more on that in another post!)

All in all I loved just how much trust Zayne and mc put in each other and their abilities. Like Zayne knew that MC would be able to control the metaflux with her evol, and MC knew that Zayne would absolutely finish the surgery in 5 minutes. I really admire how they’re so trusting of one another🥹🥹

Now let’s get to the serious part shall we?

I swear I felt my heart stop for a moment when I saw Zayne in dawnbreaker’s clothes. For literally a solid 10 minutes while the story progressed I thought that the wanderer had teleported MC in dawnbreaker’s world and doctor Zayne got left behind. We all know that MC has the ability of distinguishing her Zayne from Dawnbreaker, because it has happened in a 4 star memory before (I’m so sorry I can’t remember which one) where for a brief moment Dawnbreaker entered Zayne’s consciousness and MC immediately recognised it was not him just by looking into his eyes, even though the physical form was literally the Same. Here, we see the way MC was puzzled by his clothing and made sure to thoroughly examine Zayne by touching his face and looking into his eyes. Once she realised that it really was her Zayne, we saw how she visibly relaxed.

2. Had it truly been dawnbreaker, he would’ve been CONFUSION! Because how is it that the girl of his dreams is in his world? But Zayne had his familiar humour, making jokes about carrots and even knowing all about the wanderer situation that him and MC were facing. Had it truly been Dawnbreaker, it would’ve been impossible for him to understand anything at all.

3. And of course there is the most important fact that we know now that the wanderer had transported the two of them into Zayne’s dreams to trap them there, as it had the ability of traversing through space and time. And since Dawnbreaker and Zayne dream of each other all the time, we got transported to the ‘nightmare’ that always plagues Zayne. There was no reality as such in this case, they were in a Dream, and the even though the two had gone missing for 3 days in real life, they were never in Dawnbreaker’s world. It was simply an illusion of Zayne’s nightmares.

Now that we have established all of this, I just want to take a moment to emphasise on just how broken dawnbreaker’s world really is. The darkness, the loneliness the must face on a daily basis hurt my soul. Like if Zayne is so fucking troubled just by DREAMING about what Dawnbreaker has been through, I do not even want to imagine how Dawnbreaker Zayne is able to live in his broken world every single day after dreaming about how Doctor Zayne in another life is happier than him. Like please don’t hurt my poor baby Dawnbreaker like this😭😭

Then of course comes the climax of the story, when Zayne and MC split up to destroy the protocore cluster. When I tell you I SOBBED seeing Zayne in so much pain you guys😭 I just wanna hug him and put him in my pocket🥺 However all this aside, there’s so much we need to focus on from that one scene alone!

Firstly we get to see glimpses of Doctor Zayne’s trauma with how he struggles to save every patient that comes to him, with voices of people begging him to save him and accusing him. We also see how William had begged him to kill him because it was too late when they were in the arctic, which deeply traumatised Zayne.

However, the more interesting part is that of Dawnbreaker’s trauma. We see how he had to kill the little child and his mother, and how they were so surprised and kind of betrayed by the fact that he had to kill them, but at the same time they also begged to be killed when they realised that their time was up. BUT! Who is this girl that was featured again and again? Who was afraid of being killed next but all the same begged Dawnbreaker to kill her?

I believe it is MC, his MC. Because we see how Doctor Zayne is visibly pained when she gets injured or well killed. This is where shit gets real dark: I think we now finally know what happened to dawnbreaker’s MC. I believe that she either got turned into a wanderer, or her protocore syndrome went out of control and so she begged Dawnbreaker to kill her off.

Of course there is no confirmation of her being MC but it is the closest possible theory because we know that the girl held a great deal of importance for him. And my god this SUCKS because just how much pain will you give to that poor guy😭

Nowwww here comes another very interesting part: we potentially heard Astra’s voice. And I HATE HIM UGH- IF it really is him, He said two lines: “you shouldn’t throw yourself in danger just for her.” “Seek your destiny, only then can you be redeemed.”

Of course again there is no confirmation that it was Astra but with what the male voice said, him being Astra makes the most sense. What absolutely pains me about this is that Zayne potentially knows that he can break himself free from this cycle of death and trauma that he puts himself in by loving MC, that he STILL has a chance to be redeemed by seeking his “destiny” despite disobeying his god. But he doesn’t want to do it at all because it would involve living in a world where he cannot be with her and that to him is unacceptable. He is ready to die and be in all this pain just so that he can get to love MC😭😭 Tell me a love purer than zayne’s🥺

This also leads me to speculate that Doctor Zayne is already also aware about Foreseer Zayne. We know that Foreseer knew of a “Zayne”. But now I think that Zayne has either regained his memories of that lifetime or through research has found something about the Foreseer. That would explain his frequent trips to the arctic which he doesn’t even explain to MC in full detail, as well as him hearing Astra’s voice.

And while we are at foreseer’s topic

Once MC started healing Zayne’s injuries, she saw a fragment of her past life with Foreseer who also begged her to leave him. That gave me absolute chills you guys because we have been able to see her get flashbacks twice now- one with Sylus and now one with Zayne. Could this mean that she will soon start spiralling because of all these unknown memories of her past? And how exactly would she be able to accept just how much she’s hurt the boys (unintentionally ofc)?

But my goodness Zayne really needs to stop putting his life on the line to save us, I mean come on he somehow froze MC’s wound or something like that and absorbed it in his heart???😭😭 MY BABY IS SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU HOW WILL I SURVIVE😭

Towards the ending we get to learn a very important piece of information- that Ever is creating monsters and are basically saving people or extending their lifetime who are nearly dying. And who do we know had basically gone Kaboom?? CALEB. I am so fucking sure that Caleb is going to be a part of Ever in some way or the other and it will NOT be pleasant.

What also bothers me is that Xavier and Rafayel are also somehow linked to Ever- Rafayel through the deal he made before he sent MC into the N109 zone, and Xavier through the red collar type situation that he is forced to have on which restricts his freedom. Just how powerful is this group??

The last thing that was on my mind was the ending of the main story. Zayne’s dream. He apparently finally catches up with “the girl” and just as they are happy together, they end back into the doomed hospital corridor where she seems to be dying/heavily injured. So what bothers me is that is this dawnbreaker’s past or is it a hint of what MC and Zayne’s doomed fate holds for them? Right now they’re so happy together, but with how their love is cursed, is the ending supposed to be some twisted way of telling us that no matter what, Zayne cannot truly be with us and will have to watch us die?

I swear if this is what it is I will sob and cry and quit the game because I WANT A HAPPY ENDING WITH ZAYNE😭😭

okay so firstly: i genuinely dont have any pictures or videos; guidelines were VERY strict to not do that and i didn’t want to play with fire even though I technically saw one person sneak at least one photo lmfao

smap songs were “One Chance” which is a solo so really only half-smap 😔; “ダイナマイト”; and “KANSHA して”

he did two (I’m pretty sure it was two lmao 😭) rounds going on the trolley thingie for a few songs to go around the perimeter, and he swung one of his legs over the cage and just let it dangle to show how bendy he still is at least twice

Both rounds included the smap songs (One Chance on the first, other two were back-to-back on the second) which kind of felt really special??? Like……it just made me remember the smap cons that I’ve watched (and tsuyoshi perpetually getting himself into precarious situations on the stupid things 😭 [i knowwww 😒 {affectionate/lighthearted}])

something that will probably live in my head rent-free (that I HOPE he does in the actual filmed con footage not only for everyone to SEE it but because I already can’t accurately visualize it 😭) is that in Crazy Party when he says “sexy” he made THE MOST absurd and hysterical expression like making himself bug-eyed and just a very not calm/cool/demure face that matches his voice (omfg that voice…..wakes up sorry)

He made himself cross-eyed three times at the very least - probably more tho

I really tried to look AT him as much as possible but there were moments where I really just COULD NOT see him or it was just…more incentivizing? to look at the front display..

(ie when he would pop his fucking jacket open and just….expose arm (we love arm) which he did WAY TOO MANY FUCKING TIMES)

..but I did stare at his back quite a bit 😗

His outfit around when he did “No Night, No Starlight” was my ultimate fave which absolutely shouldn’t be surprising and I think it’ll be everyone’s too

To say Yaling was starting to get worried was… an understatement.

Feng had never been so quiet for so long…

Her brother was kind of annoying sometimes (well, most of the time) but seeing him like this, just sitting at the table spacing out after taking one single bite, was somehow more unnerving, and not really in a good way.

“Feng…?” Yaling’s brow furrowed “Did something happen?”

“It’s…” He started, looking awfully conflicted. He was even fidgeting a little, fingers scratching at his scales. “I’m- yes I’m fine, I’m good uhhh…” He sighed and dropped his face and arms over the table.

Ok so something was definitely wrong.

“Would you like to talk about it? Hey, we’re siblings after all, if there’s something bothering you maybe I could be of help” She offered, pulling a chair and sitting next to him.

Feng stared at her, seemingly trying to decide on what to say or if he should even speak. His mouth opened and closed a couple of times like a medaka and Yaling was getting increasingly troubled. What could be so terrible as to shake him like this? Did someone get hurt? Was there danger or-

Then he finally spoke up.

“I…” He looked away, gaze fixed on his barely touched plate of food “I accidentally walked in on m-mom and dad…”

Yaling stared. And blinked.

She coughed into her fist. “Oof… sorry for you bro, that’s… certainly a lot to take in” She started, not knowing if she should laugh or feel bad, or a mix of both. Probably a mix of both.

Because really, that must definitely be… very awkward. Yaling shook her head, nope, nope, she did NOT want to think on her parents’ sex life, nope.

“That’s not the worst part though.” The youngest started. Yaling froze.

I did something very bad last night, very bad!

Please forgive me. I’m not watching Midnight Museum. But I caught the previews for episode 6, and saw that it had Nanon and View in it, and I was like....

... can I get away with just peeping that episode, to see how they are together?

And then I saw Tu’s BTS photos of HER episode, the previous one.

And I thought to myself: maybe I should be a little bad.

So I did it, I watched episodes 5 and 6 last night, and I go into this without ANY prior knowledge of this show, except seeing some of the fabulous reviews, as always, by the family (which I’ll review more in depth later today). But anyway, what follows is an UTTERLY RIDICULOUS liveblog of what I watched, and if you like this show, I urge you to NOT READ MY DUMB RAMBLINGS! There’s no analysis! It’s just reactions, very silly ones.

Honestly, this looks like a totally interesting show, but I really don’t do knives and blood and murders and ghosts and curses and scary Christian frameworks (?!) -- I like trauma of the emotional kind, ha. Anyway, I’m saving y’all by putting up a break and keeping you safe from this dumpster fire! <3

Episode 5: 

- LOVE the fashion from the START, WOW. Fah and Tu are such 10s - DON’T EAT THE SOUP, GURL, DON’T EAT THE SOUP! WTF, don’t eat that soup! YOU KNOW NOT TO EAT THAT SOUP - Yes, soup tastes good when it’s salty, look how much salt you put in that soup - Dudes, doing it right outside Bee’s DOOR? ::throws grandma hands:: - TRIPHOP?! - Cute bar! - The sets and the lighting are a little outta control, tbh - This show isn’t actually set in any kind of reality, right? With ghosts and shit? - Is the priest in the confessional Dome? The Holy Trinity, they’re the same person, etc. etc.? - Omg, photo boaaaarrrddddsssss..... right, Khatha’s in love, right? - Omg, Sani from The Eclipse, HI! - Foei is so good in everything (I’m not getting over the name TRIPHOP, though) - Okay, Nanon and View are GREAT TOGETHER, WOW, this experiment was worth it (besides this and 55:15 Never Too Late, I wonder what else they were in together) - Damn, $3 billion for this piece of shit anklet, huh - Does Khatha carry a scepter? - Oh, no no no no no no no no no Nanonenstein, no no no no noooooo no, leave her alone - NOOOOOOO, don’t do it dude, no, donnnn’t - But that swat was such a View-character-thing-to-do, tho - NOOOOOO GUYSSSSSS WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY - HOLY WHAT THE HELL CHAINSAW?!?!??!?!?!?!?! - Okay, this is why I’m not watching this show lol - Okay, View with a chainsaw is something - OMFG NO NANON - All of this for feet?! - That was a VERY unfortunate commentary on sex work - LEAVE DOME ALONE, y’all! Ghost doesn’t say a word, but it’s like Johnny can see his entire frame melt.  It starts up at his shoulders, makes him uncross his arms which fall down to hang limply at his sides.  It’s like the entire tough demeanour falls away to the side, while he watches the lights of the tree and the decorations in the front room, and when he inhales, it’s shuddery.  He appears shaken up by what he sees, and Johnny can’t even begin to guess why.

It’s hypnotising, mesmerising,  Johnny finds, watching Ghost and his movements.  It’s surprising how none of it is surprising to Johnny—not the action, not the fact that Ghost is outside in a snowstorm to do it—but Johnny finds himself unconsciously holding his breath and clenching his fists while he observes the movement of Ghost’s body as he does it.  

There’s nothing lean about his body. 

He’s all powerful, rippling muscle under a healthy layer of fat, his chest gorgeously broad, expanding under a black hoodie that strains and relaxes under the movement.  Even from two storeys up where Johnny looks down at him, nothing about Ghost fits in.  Nothing about him looks like it belongs in this picturesque scene, and nothing about him can be glanced over.  He demands Johnny’s absolute attention, even when he doesn’t know it.  Especially because he doesn’t know it.  

I’m so sorry but this whole piece right here. This wonderfully descriptive, amazingly structured, beautifully written paragraph. I am in love with it. And them. And you for writing it.

I can’t lie and so sorry if this ends up being really long and rambly but I was v surprised when you said you didn’t expect anyone to care about Floris and Aemond’s relationship, to me, they were almost enigmatic as a couple. While ofc as the main pairing Aegon/Annika (❤️) get the focus I felt like Willa and Daeron had more of an overtly loving relationship (Like that sort of proposal?? MY HEART. THOSE BABIES.) While Aemond and Floris had been around in the story for a long time, they seemed to have one where they seemed to operate as partners rather than a couple. Like i remember when it was revealed that Floris was pregnant I was like “THEY HAD SEX?!” I still shipped them ofc and like when they got reunited I was like “omfg just kiss her!” but I was convinced in my head fsr that was like all building up to some sort of catalyst or smth! I had expected that with the Alys stuff that it would be like really revealing in that way for them. I’m really excited to meet your Alys. Anyway so sorry for rambling 😭 I really loved Floris in which we mostly saw her through Annika’s eyes and their relationship; it pains me to know we won’t see them together again.

Since she’s gone, I do want to ask how Aemond actually thought about her? Did he love her? Was there problems between them? I’m sooo excited to see his next POV bc holy shit the trauma 😭

I suppose I didn't think anyone would care about them because I actually never thought anyone would read the story at all, let alone like it😭 I always wanted to make it very pro-green and when I started planning it back in october I was still writing my other Aemond fic and people always complained about how much they hated how green centric was so I thought well I’m probably gonna get so much hate with this one (it wasn’t the case at all and I’m still shocked abt it). Most of the fics I found about Aemond back then while not necessarily bad, always had him betraying his family at some point, and I had never encountered a story that humanized their side. It seemed to me that Aemond was always mischaracterized; I always saw him as a very complex guy when it came to feelings and relationships. In my head, if Aemond were to love someone romantically, I never thought of him as someone who would enjoy pda or made a big deal out of his feelings. I think of him as serious and very reserved person, the opposite of Aegon who I see as more likely to have flamboyant relationships, being more hypersexual and unable to keep his hands off his partner.

I think that, in my story, that's the Aemond I wanted to portrait and the Aemond I also needed. He is kinda mad and cold, but he’s a man who cares deeply for his loved ones and shows it by doing everything he can to protect them rather than with actual words. He's a man whose love comes from duty, which I find interesting considering the famous phrase we all know, “love is the death of duty,” because I believe it's the opposite for him. He loves Floris, in his own way, because he learned to love her. Because that's what he must do. And he cares about his family, and since Floris arrived he's been a support for all of them, especially for the children. Besides, she saw him throughout his grief for Helaena while supporting his mother and the children because she's a dutiful person. I still feel like they're companions, they complement each other perfectly because they're opposites (I've already said the best way I can describe them is that she's sweet where he's bitter), and unlike Annika and Aegon, they have clear priorities and duties that they put above their feelings and needs. And yes, they did have sex haha, I just think Aemond has a lot on his mind beyond sex (there's a lot of baggage there for him too), and their relationship isn't necessarily the most physical. But they do have chemistry. And he allows himself to be gentle to her than to anyone else. With Daeron and Willa, it's simpler because they're the definition of puppy love.

To sum it up, yes, he did love her. And he will mourn her and we are going to see all of it because man do I love writing about grief🥳

i feel like eitullia/otullia (i can’t decide on their ship name…either one doesn’t flow as well as tullisagi i’m afraid that’s so elite as a ship name) would be like a mix of bfb otoya’s version and fwtkac reader/karasu in that they have that sassy teasing dynamic that reader and karasu have in fwtkac but there’s also an element of clueless loserness to it all that’s specifically bfb otoya’s brand!! i honestly am very torn because they would be a vv cute couple but at the same time leaving reader and co as a platonic group kinda fits with the themes of the story…tbh i truly do think tullia’s ship might only be decided once i start writing because atm yukimiya and hiori (two options) only really show up in one arc each and while isagi does have many cameos he’s not as consistent as reader and co + manshine trio are so either i’ll give in and let eitullia be a thing OR i’ll stick with my tullisagi roots and just give them weird tension whenever he IS on screen or i’ll just have hiori/yukimiya make more appearances to build more of a relationship OR i’ll see if she’s vibing with chigiri or reo in the manshine trio + reader and co interactions (if you have any suggestions/if any of those options particularly stick out to you then lmk 😜)
