You looked at him a little surprised. You looked to edward silently pleading him not to let him cut in but it went right past his head “Oh yes of course.” you cursed every god above and below for doing this to you. Edward let go of you and allowed five to cut in. Five took your hand in his and put his other one on your waist. You looked at him in disbelief. he looked down at you with a cocked eyebrow “what?”. you about wanted to blow up at him for just saying what but you had to keep your voice down and not draw a damned scene to yourself even though, in your opinion, it was hella justified. “What do you mean what?! You did that on purpose!” you said halfway a whisper and more seething. He sighed and looked down at you “I dont like him.” you about had half a mind to knee him in his dick but you kept yourself in line “What about him could you possibly not like?” he stayed silent for a moment considering and thinking until he came to his conclusion “He gives me the creeps.” you snorted “Yeah and you don’t give anyone else the creeps? The dance fell into a silence until he broke it once more “I never said i didn’t have any desire to get to know you” you looked at him in the eyes trying to search for any false hope but when you found none yours softened. “Well then maybe don’t lie next time” he playfully scoffed “Oh please i never even mentioned that i didn’t want to get to know you. That was fabricated by your overthinking brain.” You glared at him till he got a small smile and you couldn’t help but laugh. You and him ended up talking randomly about the dance and party events.

At some point a while after you and him danced you and him ended up standing to the side with a glass of wine and watching some of the more crazy events of the party gossiping and giggling like school girls. He gestured to a older woman who looked uptight and like a stick was right up her ass keeping her walking straight. She had a fan fanning her face with a grumpy bored look and next to her was a man who was attempting to get her attention. “See that old woman? Her name is Mrs penfrock. The young man next to her is Mr penfrock” you looked to him shocked “No?! no that cant be that young man with that old woman?” he nodded and sipped his wine before bringing it away from his lips “Mhm thats him. Thats her 7th husband.” you gasped softly “7th? no! you must be kidding! You dont think she is-“ he interupted “killing them? oh yes i do. They all died of mysterious causes. If i had a say i’d search her home.” you chuckled sipping your wine looking over at him past the cup. he turned and looked at you meeting your eyes. Something in you both made shivers go down your spine’s. You set down your cup onto a small table. He chuckled softly you quirked a brow “What is it?” he shook his head “You have wine on your lips” you went a little wide eyed “oh! oh dear i-“ he brought his hand to your lips resting under your chin and his thumb wiping tour upper lip “Here…i got it” you stood frozen in place. you didn’t move. You didn’t make a fuss. You just let him. His thumb gently moved over your upper lip getting the wine and then to your bottom lip swiping away wine. His eyes locked onto yours and his pupils slightly blown and yours must’ve been too. His thumb stopped on your lip gently pulling it down a little. You don’t have a clue what came over you but you wrapped your lips around his thumb and your tongue gently licked the pad of his thumb, licking away the wine. His eyes went wide and his pupils blew wider. he let it happen his eyes locked on yours and soon a low rumble came from his chest. He leaned forward his hand against the wall behind you “If i were you i would stop before i am no longer able to contain myself.” you gasped softly your cheeks dusted pink and you reluctantly let go. He let his thumb linger before pulling it away. “I must go” he suddenly turned to leave and as you watched him walk away stunned you saw him walk oddly as if adjusting his pants.

Soon the party came to a close and you reunited with your family outside. Your mother and father were all red faced from dancing with each other so much and drinking the night away. You were still thinking of five and the thumb thing. You felt like you had screwed up by doing that. You felt like you fucked up a relationship that just started. You entered the carriage with your family. You caught a glimpse of Colin kissing a girls hand before coming towards you and the family and entering the carriage alongside you and the family. The carriage ride home was all laughter and talk of your experiences and the fun you had. You occasionally also spoke but your mind was mostly astray and far more interest in one singular person. Once home everybody ran to their rooms to undress and settle for the night or do what families do. You however were starved. You hadn’t eaten much at that ball. You entered the kitchen and looked into the pantries for something at-least adequate to snack upon. You ended up finding some biscuits your mother made just yesterday. You grabbed a few and munched upon them with some milk. You eventually were done and headed to your room. You sat at the vanity table and looked at yourself. Your hair had stayed up the night despite your fun and you looked a little sweaty but that didn’t necessarily bother you. You Got undressed tearing your bodice away and dress off. You went to your wardrobe picking your night gown and as you do so you cant help but for your thoughts to run to five’s touch. his hand on your waist, what would it feel like against bare skin if it affected you this much through just a layer of clothes. You swallowed tried to push those thoughts away. You threw on your night gown and just in time your father came in as you laid down in bed “Hey there, y/n?” you smiled and sat up “Hi father whats wrong?” he chuckled “Nothings wrong. I just came to ask how was the dance my little treasure chest?” you smiled softly at the affectionate term he has had for you since you were little “It was not as bad as i thought it would be.” he chuckled and and took your hand giving it a gentle reassuring squeeze “See i told you it wouldn’t be that bad. You just had to have a little faith.” he leaned forward kissing your forehead “Goodnight, my treasure chest” you smiled up at him “Goodnight father” he smiled and left your room closing the door behind himself. You smiled and laid back in bed. You decided to set your worries aside and let that be future you’s problem for now. You just hoped it wouldn’t come to bite you in the ass. You looked out your window and you let your eye’s droop into a sleep. Today’s events soon slipping away as you slipped into a world of dreams.

In the morning you awoke to the smell of eggs being made and the sweet nectar of fruits being my cut. You exited your room your hair tousled and loose. I know that the general consensus is that Sukuna thinks Yuuji is boring asf & thats why he ignores him 24/7 (At least that's the impression i get, maybe im totally wrong fjhfhf), and like, Yeah. But i actually headcanon that the "ignoring" part started (and still mostly is) the other way around...? Like. Ok. Literally the second Sukuna understands that he's trapped inside Yuuji's body, that he can't get out, he starts YELLING at him inside his mind. Yuujis's response/reaction?: "Wow this dude sure is annoying" *goes on with his life*

At first Sukuna does try to at least pester Yuuji and the ppl around him by appearing on his skin and saying shit like "When i get out im gonna kill you all👍", but Yuuji straight up SLAPS him and never even answers to any of his threats nor talks to him directly, even talking about him to other people as if Sukuna isn't right there (the blatant disrespect hdgshshjs). The only instances the two of them talk are when Sukuna wants to talk to him; Yuuji just puts up with it. The sole time Yuuji adresses him first is when he asks Sukuna to help Junpei, and even tho Sukuna could have ignored him, he goes out of his way to tell Yuuji 2 go fuk himself (cuz Sukuna is... an asshole lolll).

Another example: At the end of the death paintings arc, Sukuna freaking. Just goes on and on mocking Yuuji and blaming him for what happened to Fushiguro's sister and the other curse's victims (srsly hes super annoying abt it) and the only thing Yuuji replies (and only because he believes it to be true so hes rly upset about it) is Shut up and Dont tell Fushiguro.

After that, during the Shibuya arc, right after killing Mahoraga, the last thing Sukuna does before losing control again is taunt Yuuji because he knows Yuuji will lose his fucking mind. But still, even in this instance and even though Sukuna is the one who caused all this destruction and suffering, Yuuji doesn't say anything back to him, not even to curse/insult him (i could go off on a whole tangent about why but that's not the point of this post).

In the culling game arc, when Angel says she wants to kill The Fallen, Sukuna brings Yuuji to his domain to prevent him from spilling the beans about who he is... and before he even opens his mouth Yuuji straight up says to him "even seeing your face makes me sick wdyw". Sukuna totally ignores this, obviously and goes Haha yeah anyways...

Bottom line... Sure, Sukuna's called Yuuji boring & dull like 85746463636 million times but that's just him severely underestimating his strenght and talent at Jujutsu because Sukuna is a huge Jujutsu otaku BUT i think Sukuna was bored out of his mind inside Yuuji this whole time because Yuuji is the one who was always mercilessly ignoring him.

i always tend to be the most compelled by oldest sibling-characters and that’s one of my favorite things about bellatrix aswell.. like her undying loyalty to family and especially her sisters, even if the loyalty is flawed and unhealthy, is very deeply special to me. i read a post lately about how bellatrix never used violence against her own family even if her family ended up using it against her. even after azkaban, after years of torture and dementors, she never layed a hand on. she always prioritized her family, despite it being in fucked up and harmful ways .. makes me Sick

New ep of Helluva Boss just came out and i actually want to talk about that one. I didnt even bother with the third one cause somehow I didnt have any strong feelings about it. Anyway, lets start.

First of course pacing. I was really suprised how fast we got into the main action, it starts literally a minute into the episode. We didnt even get a proper introduction of Andrealphus ( or however his name is written, i will just call him Andre) and its his first offical apperance. Its quite insane honestly. I really think it might have been better to do this in some other episode where plot would be focused on the divorce. It feels like they didnt know how to start this whole assasination businnes.

Also for me he seems... really boring? There isnt anything about him that we havent seen before. I dislike how Stella was portrayed too. She may have gotten a bit dumber than at the beginning, i mean she cares so much about killing Stolas that she isnt even thinking logically. Its a little weird when you consider how loveless their marriage was, it doesnt look like she has strong enough reason to hate him this much.

Another thing, her relationship with Andre seems as normal as it can be in hell. I hoped for some emotional manipulation or other toxic behaviour that may explain why Stella is such a bitch. But hell no, there was nothing super weird about them though it may be because there were shown for like 2-3 minutes in the whole ep. On one hand i am glad he is not ( at least yet) another villain, but still he felt important enough to get a proper introduction.

What also bothered me about pacing was the structure of plot A and B. Especially in the fight scene where they are paralleled. Its not a bad thing per se but it dissolves the tension. It also felt like there was no need for plot B except for keeping Blitz occupied and unable to rescue Stolas.

Now lets talk about characters. First Moxxie, as much as i am glad that he became a badass i cannot help but feel like it should have happened in 3rd ep. Him fighting his dad would be so much more powerful than dealing with three random guys on gus station and fighting Striker with Millie. This change would feel more natural. I am not saying he is weak, but his skills were mostly with guns, not physical violence. But in this ep he suddenly is very capable of that, he is also less anxious and more reliable (which is a good thing, thats the development from ep 6). Despite all that i was still suprised.

Both Blitz and Stolas feel pretty much in character, so i wont talk much about them. I just wanna say that i liked them. I am kinda sorry that i wont sing praises, even though there was some good stuff but there is still much to cover.

So lets talk about Striker. Oh boy, not gonna lie watching him sometimes felt like fever dream. I dont know if its so bad that its hilarious or just hilarious, i really cant say. First his sudden apperance in the middle of a restaurant with a whole crowd of witnesses, than his theme song. THEME SONG. I am crying, its just so ridiculous. Its a pretty cool joke but also so surreal. Like up until now it feels like writers tried to find a reason for adding songs. Be it jingles, intros or full stage performences the songs were always a part of an actual action. However here its more of a montage, and it can be barely counted as sth else thanks to a few lines in a dialogue. As i said, not sure if its genius or just bad. Then we have all the jokes about Strikers ego, its not out of character, but it also feels like he stopped being anything more. At first he was a genuine threat and someone who Blitz could have chose to be. Here he still tries to be, but cant because of all the jokes. The big dick statue went too far for me. Its also becoming too repetitive. However i really liked when he started choking Moxxie, he looked really wild with all the drolling. It made him look feral, which is cool. The harder joke also caught me of guard. Last thing about Striker, he is well animated. It may seem obvious but i feel like its really not, especially not in season two.

I dont have much to say about Millie, Loona and Stella. Really, my only thought is that Stella looks kinda weird in this ep. Her head feels to big, especially when Andre is next her. Fortunetly Loona and Millie look alright.

Short note about worldbuilding, it gets more and more messed up. What at first looked like nice little clues for creating a bigger picture now is more like random stuff mixed together so they can pretend to be whole. Hell looks more and more like a structured society with jails, hospitals, offices and so on and yet it makes it hard to ignore how absolutely insane this idea is. At first hell looked like a total lack of rules, then we got some info that IMP using Grimouir is illegal, then human disguises, lawsuits and even jail which overall makes an impression that there is some law. But what is this, how does it work? No idea whatsoever. Then we have hierarchy with imps being at the very bottom of it. Now it seems like they arent really so different if they can afford places like Asmodeus or restaurants Stella is willing to go to. Blitzo having a bussines was a big deal but nothing really came out of it. Also whats with their sizes?? They can be as big as Loona or small enough to fit in a bag. It gets more and more confusing. I wont even talk about Moxxies dad, an imp being a literal mob boss ( mafia exists in hell???). Its all a right mess.

Another thing thats is a mess is a quality of sound design and sometimes animation. I felt so disconected from fight scene in this episode because music didnt fit at all. The tension that should have been there went and never came back. Though the animation was gorgeous. However its not so pretty in many other moments where anatomy of characters becomes a mere suggestion. Sometimes the problem is in proportions, sometimes in perspective but also how some scenes are connected and how the mood isnt appropriate for the overall action.

But since we are getting to the end of this post, let me tell about some good things. And by that i mean the end scene. Its really good, it made me feel what i have felt while watching first season. It was emotional but in a quiet, honest way. We got some small gesture that was meaningfull in a context. We also got some explanation about what happened after Ozzie (a little too late, but better than never) and in such a way that i can appreciate. I like small clues, that u have to focus on to fully understand whats happening. Its one of the things that got me into Helluva, it was fascinating to use small things to create bigger pictures. I loved that, and i wish there was more of that in this season.

To finish, i think the biggest problem of this season is that it doesnt know how to build up on what was shown before. It got lost with all the characters, dramas and possible plots and in the end lost the core idea that was at the beggining - IMP bussines. Now it rushes into different plot points and mucks up most of them because of that. It also doesnt give us anything new? First ep was a sensation with mixed response, but despite other ones having important moments it never got up anywhere near the excitment that started with 5 ep of season 1. I really miss that feeling but i am losing hope that Helluva will return to its former quality and charm.

in this live he says that its not something he wants to recommend to moas because of the themes in it. after the clip started making rounds on twt however, people brought up the fact that he'd mentioned it before and said he enjoyed it.

now lets not jump to conclusions like SOME lewsers and realize here that the anime version of made in abyss that's available in korea is highly censored. it reduced the s3xual/problematic scenes that were in the manga, and had a lot of stuff cut out of it that made it bad.

im willing to bet a vast majority of people who dont eat veggies (who can afford to of course, im not talking about people who cant afford to eat healthy), even those who are autistic and picky (like me), dont like a lot of them because they were served bland steamed veggies without any seasoning.

i hated a lot of veggies growing up until i moved out on my own and learned how to actually cook them. you GOTTA season them. throw broccoli in a pan with some olive oil for like 5 minutes and then top with salt and a little garlic powder. dont like it? try different seasonings. maybe add pepper. maybe instead of garlic try something else. broccoli too done? not done enough? try cooking shorter or longer. check it every minute or so while you cook and see if the doneness feels right to you.

dont like the texture of broccoli? try a different veggie. brussel sprouts are *so* much better than you were led to believe if you cook them right. zucchini also is really good like this. just keep trying things.

you can also roast them or stew them like OP said. chop them up and toss them in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, whatever you like. throw them all on an aluminum lined baking sheet. throw that in an oven at 350 degrees F (190 C) and let it go until you *just* start to see charring (i like my veggies a little on the charred side, if you dont like the taste of burnt things then take note of how long that was and then dial it back a few minutes next time). i dont have any stew recipes on hand but check allrecipes theres a lot on there.

so many of the ingredients we cook with are actually really bland and boring on their own. youd be SHOCKED to know how much butter and seasoning goes into the food served at a lot of restaurants. seasoning helps to bring out the natural flavors of the food we eat as well as enhance them and there is no real “right amount” other than what you like (which gets complicated if youre cooking for multiple people but its ok to leave some out and then add it into your own portion later, itll taste different than if it was cooked in but its not *worse* tasting).

i know for a lot of people theres a lot of other factors and you may just not be ok with the inherent texture of a lot of veggies and thats ok. but i know a lot of people on here probably are just used to shitty boring bland steamed vegetables (as opposed to genuinely good steamed veggies which ARE a thing, heres a hint they have lots of fat and salt) and have been taught that adding too much fat and salt to their food will make it unhealthy when fat and salt are literally integral to just about *everything* tasting good.

and if you dont like olive oil feel free to substitute with whatever fats you prefer. butter can add creaminess. peanut and rapeseed are neutral oils though peanut does sort of have its own taste (i love it with stir fried veggies). hell cook your veggies in bacon fat if you want a tasty salty porky kind of vibe to it.

and also feel free to experiment with HOW you cook them. roasting in an oven is slower but less hands on. sautéing in a pan is how i like to do it because its faster and higher heat and more fun but its a bit more involved cause you gotta watch it and stir a bit so it doesnt burn. stir frying is GREAT and FUN but can be a bit challenging if youve never made it before. i assume you can use an air fryer if you have one but i dont know how well they handle things coated in fat cause ive never used one?

veggies are delicious and theres so many ways to cook them and im sure youll find one out there that you enjoy. have fun with it and dont stop experimenting until you feel satisfied.

i mean this in the gentlest way possible: you need to eat vegetables. you need to become comfortable with doing so. i do not care if you are a picky eater because of autism (hi, i used to be this person!), you need to find at least some vegetables you can eat. find a different way to prepare them. chances are you would like a vegetable you hate if you prepared it in a stew or roasted it with seasoning or included it as an ingredient in a recipe. just. please start eating better. potatoes and corn are not sufficient vegetables for a healthy diet.

why we are where we are. sitting at a hotel in tempe arizona. i havent been able to get on the internet in forever and i lost my sidekick. it's okay to cry for me, there is already a WAAAAHmbulance on the way. my clothes are dirty, so is my body- i havent slept in days but i am the happiest i have been in awhile- being on tour feels so good. shows are at their best. you kids look so goddamned good. i was out of my head for awhile but im back.

i know there are gonna be some growing pains next year- i just wanted to personally thank you guys for sticking with us. it makes us feel so much less awkward. i have been in your position where a band i loved that noone knew about started to get some attention. but i just wanted to let you know that i personally and as a band we focused on writing a record for those who believed in fall out boy from the beginning and not to impress anyone else. we will never bend or do something that we wouldnt do anyway. thats a promise and if you have ever met us you know that it's (we're) true. also, the deal with the signings at the shows- it is something our label does in order to sell records- meeting 2000 kids a night would be impossible but we want to meet and see our friends as much as possible. we still hang around venues and are out behind every venue- come find us and say hi even if you dont pick up the cd. sorry, i will write a better entry later. oh yeah, to all the emailers- to save you the time, yes i am losing it.

all in all. this is the best time of our lives- all thanks only to you. words couldnt explain. thank you so much..

oh hi i didn't think this'd be actually posted since there wasn't really any person-to-person conflict/sort of a nonissue. mostly sent this ask cause i was just bored one night and wanted something to submit but good to know i was in fact overthinking this dilemma

one thing that makes me second guess myself though is a few days ago i did actually run into someone who took issue with it. i don't know if i should put this in a new submission since theres more nuance that might skew the votes but since it's concerning the same topic i'll just add it as an update.

i was in a discord server (for the fandom) that i'm not very active in and someone was asking for headcanons in the headcanons channel so i sent '[character] is trans and his deadname was [dead sister's name]' which in hindsight makes me cringe bc. maybe sort of uncalled for in a server w people you don't know. but i was having late night fic brainrot and just wanted to talk to some new people about trans interpretations of his canon backstory, and that was the most concise way i could put it.

that was very much a bad idea though!!!! one person said 'the deadname is CRAZY' and after i sort of neutrally said thank you they decided to further elaborate that their msg was not a compliment. so okay. another person just said oH MY GOD which is basically my reaction every time i think about it too so thats fine. last person though decided to express to me clearly that my headcanon gave him the ick (complete with 🤢 emoji) and told me that headcanoning deadnames was cringe. i probably should've apologized to him but i did say he had a good point, yet sort of passive aggressively asked him why he needed to tell this to me instead of just blocking me? since i feel like 'dont ask dont read' should apply to headcanons especially in a dedicated headcanon channel? but he just sarcastically apologized to me and didnt really give me any more info after that, just sort of started parroting my server nickname at me (ours were both along the lines of 'babygirl [random male character]') which would have admittedly been very funny if i didnt feel like throwing up out of stress at that point.

anyways i ended up leaving the server several hours after everything fizzled out bc even if i was the one in the wrong, everyones mannerisms made me realize the general server demographic was teenage tiktok users (distinct age group from teenage tumblr users) and i probably didn't have much to do there anyway. a different member of the server actually reached out to me in dms making sure i was okay, that they liked my headcanon & understood what i meant with it, and telling me they were gonna add more rules to make sure disagreements didnt get to that point in the future. which i thought was really really kind but i do feel bad that i apparently shook up the way the whole server was run and then promptly left. i also showed the whole conversation to some other friends of mine and they said i definitely did nothing wrong so thats something i guess. sidenote i've shared my headcanon/au with them and other friends in the past and they were all very enthusiastic about it which i guess is why i was caught so off guard in the other server.

i do think that the guy who was beefing with me could've (and should've) just ignored my headcanon and blocked me if he didn't like it. but i probably should've been more careful about sharing such a weird headcanon, or at least worded it better. idk. AITA now?

AITA for headcanoning deadnames for trans characters for symbolism purposes?

im a trans guy (minor if it matters) who's been a fan of this one show for a little over a year. none of the characters are canonically trans, but there's a lot of trans allegories to be drawn from the material if you're me or my mutuals at least. the two main characters are both male and i ended up developing an au where they're both explicitly transmasc as a way for me to just explore trans themes in an alternate narrative. i haven't begun writing it yet but definitely plan to once i feel like it's solidly locked in my brain, and i've been sharing snippets & concepts every so often.

part of this was thinking of how they would've chosen their current names, and name symbolism got me considering what they would've changed them away from as well. one character i thought could've initially been named after his mother so i can draw contrasts between the two, and the name i decided on for her has a meaning that highlights her relationship with her father (and the character's relationship with his father in turn); it's also the name of the character's daughter figure in the show. a lot of the other main character's backstory kind of revolves around his dead sister, so i thought by making his deadname that sister's name then i could turn that into an allegory about transness and childhood and sibling death (and sororicide but we don't have time to unpack all that). i don't plan on ever explicitly referring to the characters by their deadname in the narration, except maybe in an ironic tone, but i think it would be cool to sort of sprinkle in references as subtext to just give the readers something more to chew on.

the thing is i've seen posts around talking about how nice it is to make trans characters/headcanons without once considering their deadnames, or how weird it is for people to consider them, and i definitely agree with the sentiment; one of the biggest goals for many trans people is for their past selves to be completely irrelevant, and i feel a bit guilty for perpetuating something so painful for the general community.

but i still don't think i'm an asshole in any way since these are literally just characters and obviously i'm not going around talking about real people's deadnames or anything. i just don't want to make people uncomfortable/trigger dysphoria if they find someone talking about deadnames for a trans charactsr they're attached to (i've definitely had that happen myself when reading trans fics, enough that i had to stop reading, and i don't know how you'd even tag for something like that). if the general gut reaction to this ask is negative then i'll probably consider just not talking about the deadnames unless someone asks about it, since they're not crucial to the plot at all, just some uhh not so fun tidbits.
