Excerpts from Lando Norris biography - part III

(There aren't too many behind-the-scenes stories anymore — mostly stating things everyone knows, F1 was postponed due to Covid, online racing happened, F1 resumed, Lando did this in this race, Lando had a new teammate, Lando moved to Monaco, etc etc)

Every one was extremely happy for Lando after his first podium at Austria 2020, including Trevor Carlin: "He is doing everything right and the results are coming and I am very proud of him" and "Lando is the nicest person you could ever meet"

Charlotte recalled in Eifel GP 2020, the marketing team's office was right next to the drivers' room and the walls were paper-thin, and —

We were working in the marketing office and we could hear this giggling from the drivers’ room next door… I went into their drivers’ room to speak to them and they were both lying on the massage bed watching YouTube or Instagram videos together. We all started pissing ourselves laughing at first, but I then said to them, “What the fuck are you doing? Why aren’t you in the garage? Everyone is looking for you!” I was like an ogre telling them off all the time. But that was the point where I and some others in the team realised that they actually enjoyed spending time together.

Going into the 2021 season, he started to become more strict with certain things, especially diet and training: he stopped eating pizza, started to do more training and running (even though he "still hates it with a massive passion"), etc, to step up his performance. By summer break there's a noticeable change physically from when he first entered F1

Charlotte on Lando at that point:

When Carlos left, I think Lando got a bit nervous again, because he was a bit like, “Well, this guy’s obviously won seven races. He’s a known quantity, and he’s got a really good reputation.” I felt like Lando’s confidence had grown so much over the two years he had with Carlos. When Carlos left and we signed Daniel, Lando was a bit like, “I’ve really got to step up.” That was when I noticed that Mark, his manager, and Jon, his trainer, were building a positive environment by explaining that Norris had all the tools and experience and should not be putting pressure on himself… I used to call him kiddo, in fact I still do, but that was the time when I thought this guy actually could be really good and it will be really interesting to see the comparison. Some thought Dan would just come in and absolutely smash him, but he didn’t. You could certainly see a change in Lando, just the way he carried himself, the way he spoke, his whole demeanour. He was just so much more confident in himself while being self-deprecating.

Charlotte on Lando and Daniel's relationship:

At first, they were both definitely trying to suss each other out. We never thought they would not get on, but they just didn’t spend any time together… There was never any animosity between them, it was just they didn’t hang out. Andreas Seidl would have a meeting with both drivers before the race every Sunday. It’s called a “pre-race objectives meeting” and he would basically lay the law down and tell both drivers they are in it together. You drive for the team, no driver is better than the other, no one gets preferential treatment, you do what’s best for the team result, that kind of thing… Both drivers were team players and we needed that because we knew we were struggling and that Ferrari would be back up there again. Both of them then started spending more time together in engineering meetings and worked really hard on it. I can’t fault either of them. Both their work ethics are just unbelievable … but they started to work together quite a lot and from then, their relationship started to change and they started to get on really well.

McLaren keeps the Monaco 2021 trophy (as always), so Lando keeps the presentation box "because it is the coolest thing, a bespoke Louis Vuitton number" (😂)

Charlotte on Lando's relationship with McLaren team members:

He had worked with the boys for a long time by now, but he knew everyone, not just them by name, but their girlfriends, their wives, their kids, their families, their situation. He’d take the team out bowling or for dinner. I think he really understood the value of trying to galvanise people around him and that made him part of the furniture.

After the accident when he got mugged at Wembley Stadium, Charlotte messaged him saying she's so sorry. The whole McLaren team was being very supportive as well. When Lando went to the factory, he was really subdued, "he was worried because he thought he was going to be in trouble because of the watch getting stolen." Ofc Charlotte gave him a big hug

Charlotte described how different the mood was post Monza vs post Russia, especially during the last few laps, "It felt like the slowest time of my entire life, like watching a slow train crash."

[rumour] Ben Hunt says according to rumours, the contract he signed in mid-2021 (just before Monaco GP) was worth £6m a year, the one he signed beginning of 2022 (current one) was £50m for 4 years

Hi! Louis rocked last night! Do you know what was so special about the post malone song?

like why did Louis pick it? I mean obviously I/ we can't know, and I assume he likes the song for starters (he followed Post Malone on insta a couple years ago, for what it's worth). And him and the band were able to make it work, it sounded great in the set and sounded great with his voice, so he must have seen that potential in it. But the lyrics are wild for Louis to be singing and the fact that they echo like half of his songs and pretty much all his other covers in theme makes it pretty hard not think that's why, that it is a song that grabbed him and resonated with him, or at minimum that it being so parallel to KMM was a factor. Also I think he likes being a little daring and getting to sing explicit stuff and being like ooooh I'm really not in a teen pop boyband anymore I can do songs about getting my brains fucked out (not that he ever let that stop him😂). Plus as @goldcrumble pointed out, the nod to Seven Nation Army (the song that the crowd chant to him in latam especially and they've teased covering) in the lyrics is hilarious, it wouldn't be our SBB Louis if he did something simple and unlayered without a clever little extra, bless him🥰 (lyrics under the cut)

2023 Writing Self Evaluation ✨

1. List of works published this year:

I’m just going to link the masterpost I made a few days ago because I published 26 works this year and I don’t feel like listing them all again here lol

2. Work you are most proud of (and why):

Inner Crisis, for sure. I had written fics with ace characters before, but this one just took it to the next level for me in terms of how personal and vulnerable it is, and I’m very proud of the way it turned out, and of myself for putting it out there. 🥰

3. Work you are least proud of (and why):

I’m going to take the easy way out here and say none. I can honestly say I’m proud of every single fic I have put out into the world this year. <3

4. A favorite excerpt of your writing:

I always find this question hard, but the one that comes to mind first is this bit from You’re Family:

“Anyone want tea?” Anne asks.

Louis lets the others answer first as he allows his eyes to scan the room around him.

A tall tree is tucked away in one corner of the room, decorated beautifully with a mixture of whites, reds and golds, along with a few handmade decorations sprinkled throughout, most likely some of Gemma’s and Harry’s creations from back when they were kids. 

Underneath it, a dozen or so meticulously wrapped gifts await the moment they’ll be unwrapped.

To his left, an imposing fireplace anchors the room, the fire lit within bathing the room in warmth along with a soft amber glow. 

Five traditional red and white stockings are hung along the mantle, and Louis smiles as he reads the names embroidered on each of them, fondly thinking of a time his Mum used to do this for him and his multiple siblings too.

Anne. Gemma. Michal. Harry. Louis.

Wait. 

Louis?

That’s him.

“Louis?” Anne asks, and Louis whips his head around to look at her in disbelief. “How do you take your tea, darling?”

“You got me a stocking?” Louis asks instead of answering her question.

Anne smiles softly at him. “Of course, you’re family.”

Louis tries really hard not to tear up. He mostly succeeds, save for maybe a tear or two he fails to conceal.

Beside him, Harry squeezes his knee and pulls him closer.

“So, your tea?” Anne asks again with a knowing smile.

“Oh, hm,” Louis clears his throat. “Just a splash of milk, please.”

“You got it, darling,” she says before disappearing in the direction of the kitchen.

Louis finds his gaze going back to the stockings again, still shocked to find his name on the last one.

“See,” Harry whispers in his ear. “I told you they’d love you.”

5. Share or describe a favorite review you received:

I don’t think I can pick only one, but I have to say the response to Inner Crisis as a whole. The number of comments and messages I’ve received from people telling me they relate to Louis’ story has just blown my mind and each one of them has made me cry

6. A time when writing was really, really hard:

I’ve found it quite difficult to find time to write this whole year, to be honest. 2023 turned out to be pretty busy for me personally, and it’s resulted in many periods of not writing at all, and then I always find it hard to get back into it.

7. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you:

All of I See You. This is the second year in a row that I wrote horror for the 1D Trick or Treat fest, and I am still baffled that I, someone who usually writes mostly fluff, am somehow able to do that lol.

8. How did you grow as a writer this year:

Most of what I wrote has been very self indulgent. I had so little time to write that when I did, I just wrote what I wanted to write, rather than what I thought other people would enjoy, which is quite freeing actually.

9. How do you hope to grow next year:

I’d like to step out of my comfort zone a little and attempt working on a longer fic.

10. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc):

Anyone that has left a comment on any of my fics this year. Here are a few people in particular whose support has really made a difference over the past year ❤️: @disgruntledkittenface @bigxrig @parmahamlarrie

11. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year:

A lot of Inner Crisis is inspired by my own experiences with asexuality.

Oh and A Special Bond literally has links to pictures I took while travelling for visuals!

12. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:

I’m pretty sure this is what I say every year, so not new wisdom, but, just write what YOU want to write. Have fun with it, and the rest will work itself out!

13. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year:

I haven’t written in over a month at this point, so I don’t have any active WIPs that I’m bringing into 2024, but there are definitely a lot of ideas I’m excited to get to explore next year, including a fake relationship fic idea I meant to write this year but ran out of time to.

and ohhhhh my. my daughter my GIRL

first impression: kirsten dunst claudia (again when i was 15) and i loved her INSTANTLY she played the fuck out of that part, i loved how gleefully evil she was and her rage and torment and just the LOOK and concept of her was so fucking cool to me!!!!! i was devastated when she died, it broke me to pieces. her and tomstat were my favorite parts of the movie and i think they’re the reason i have such a deep love for claudia’s relationship with lestat, because you could just feel all the complicated love and hate between them in the film. when i read the book, i felt much the same way, but i understood her hatred of lestat even more and i was further enthralled by her predicament. i loved her reasoning for killing him, how it was for HER, how it was revenge for dooming her, for not seeing her beyond anything but a dress-up doll who will never change, for not taking her seriously, for this selfish act of creating her for his and louis’ sake. i loved how she took back her ownership of herself, how she’s the truest vampire because she has no memory of being a human, and how she’s always the smartest person in the room. i also was touched when i read the history behind her character and the tragedy of michele rice, so claudia holds a lot of meaning for me in that way as well.

impression now: just like with louis, the show took this character and elevated her to new heights. i again loved her instantaneously on the show, she was so DELIGHTFUL in episode 4 i fell completely in love with her all over again. the change to her age and backstory adds a whole new dimension to her character, and the acknowledgement of how her predicament affects her love life is soooo horrifying and tragic. episode 4 remains my favorite of the series, i feel like it’s such a complete arc contained in a single episode for her and i love it so much. i adore how bailey played her, her acting is phenomenal ESPECIALLY in her “who am i supposed to love” monologue, the change from her innocent childlike personality to the angst-driven teen to the bitter adult is fucking exquisite, i want everyone to award her for her work it’s better than 90% of performances i’ve seen this year. the relationship between her and louis in this adaptation is sacred, this complicated dynamic from parent-child to brother-sister and then even further where she ends up almost parenting him is so fascinating and disturbing and bittersweet and i tear up if i think about them too hard. my only qualm is i feel she deserved to stab lestat 90000 times more in this version but alas it was not to be. as for book claudia my impression is pretty much the same except that i LOVE her ghost hallucination appearance in body thief i think she should haunt lestat every day of his life and in hell too!

favorite moment: like i said above “who am i supposed to love” brings me to tears every time. also when she mocks lestat choking on his blood fjdksk and in the book “i’ll put you in your coffin father” is the most iconic line i WISH they kept it in

idea for a story: madeleine being the same age and them having a romance is something i’ve wanted for a year now, it’s probably not going to happen in the show given the actress playing maddie’s age but i’d still love to see it in a fic

unpopular opinion: in the book, i feel people get caught up in whether claudia was morally right in killing lestat, and to me, it’s more about how it was an act for HER. she did it for Herself, no one else. it doesn’t matter whether she was right or wrong to do it. she needed to be free of him. in the show, i think she should have killed even more innocent people :)))))) fill up the river with bodies babe drown out the pain ur doing great

favorite relationship: non romantic relationship in the book is her and lestat, and in the show it’s her and louis!

favorite headcanon: she is a LESBIAN

Louis life lesson: Not one particular direct quote or anything cuz he says way too many profound and smart things. But his general attitude in life; of not giving up in the face of whatever brings you down, of always seeing the silver lining, of working hard and striving to reach for the stars no matter the obstacles in your path. I find that extremely inspiring and motivating and hope to emulate the same in my life (something I’m working on but haven’t achieved for sure).

Favorite Louis outfit: Absolutely impossible to pick just one! I could probably make you a collage of like top 50 though 😂 this jacket was epic though!

Favorite Live Performance: The acoustic performance of Bigger Than Me on Sirius XM. He was absolute flawless when he performed Silver Tongues on Jimmy Fallon; a literal perfect performance. Left me in goosebumps and my jaw hanging on the floor when he sprung Change on us at Łódź for the first time. KMM at Santiago N1!!! I could honestly go on and on and on; he’s been so amazing all of this year!

Favorite Tour Show: Favorite that I was actually present at myself too is of course LTWT22: Istanbul 😍🥰🥹 (time of my life), and so many other favs too; there was something special in the air at Lokerse Feesten and Taormina, and of course Portland N2 was a fever dream!

It’s been a great year for Louis, and his louies! Hoping the next one is ever bigger and better 🫶🏽

But my question! In the first half, when do you think Louis started to have feelings for Harry? Do you think he picked Harry for the project because of an underlying attraction that he didn’t understand? And if that’s the case, when do you think he admitted the attraction to himself? The tattoo?

So, first off, I hope you know that you’re never ever too late to ask a question about something I’ve written, and I think every single author in fandom will agree. There’s no more genuine compliment than knowing something you wrote is still being read (or re-read) and that your characters are still being thought about, even after the novelty wears off. Honestly, you’ve made my week with this ask alone, so thank you so much! ❤️

Second, your question. I definitely think Louis picked Harry because of an underlying attraction he didn’t understand. There are two really important things (lines? quotes?) that inspired my version of younger Harry, and those are:

“Babe,

(this is why it’s the opening song on the For Reasons Wretched and Divine playlist)

And

Both, I think, illustrate how Louis felt about Harry from the very beginning. It’s that inexplicable intrigue, that fascination, that pull you feel towards someone, when you don’t yet know or don’t yet allow yourself to call it attraction. I think that all Louis could admit to himself at the time was how much he wanted to know Harry, and he wasn’t really ready to look into why.

I loved every moment you mentioned too! The greatest is so good, it was one of my immediate favourites on the album on first listen so hearing it as the opener was awesome. SIBWAWC delivered as expected!!! So good. It was just such a strong setlist! I agree about the 1D songs, I never really listened to 1D (other than how everyone my age did, in the sense that the music was everywhere so you picked stuff up) so I wasnt that familiar with WDBHG but Louis made it fun! I'd be fine with only one 1D cover (especially if it gave us headline, common people or TTWLG which im keeping my fingers crossed will get rotated in)

The production was really good, I'm a fairly new fan so haven't seen too much of Louis' last tour (mostly just clips) so it was really cool to see all the screens and lights. You can tell a lot of thought goes into making it feel cohesive.

I was soooo pleased to hear Copy, it's just SUCH a good song and he looked confident singing it.

Also back to you!!! I really didn't expect that, it was such a good version. And "Miss you" was one of the first Louis songs I discovered and really loved (very late discovery as this was like...last year? Haha) and I've always thought it would be SUCH a great song to experience live so that gives me a bit of hope that maybe we'll get a version of it at some point on this tour. (Whishful thinking maybe!)

Also got to mention going from saved by a stranger (Also so good) to WAOYF...the emotional whiplash!!!! It worked though!

BTY in 2023? If someone told me that before the show i would never believe them but it made me so happy for many reasons. There was so many surprises last night but honestly the biggest one for me was him singing saved by a stranger ❤️‍🩹(the bravery, the grace!!). Not only that he also made it kind of rock and followed it with waoyf (that fan in the live stream who was silent the whole time but felt the need to shout "can we pls go back to fucking" instead of " loving" didn't go unnoticed🔪🔪). Tbh, i always thought if he really had to perform a 1d song, night changes would be a good one (his solo is so angelic in it) and i enjoyed it when he performed it in the past. But this time, even i was surprised that the 1d covers didn't work for me. I think fitf is just a beast on a whole other level and performing 1d songs among such a brillant setlist emphasizes the quality differece between Louis' solo songs and the band's, sorry. Night changes followed by Chicago and wdbhg put between ooms and saturdays (and then silver tongues) was almost humilating for them if it weren't for Louis' perfect delivery and witt (and angelic voice). I can talk about the show forever and in detail about each and every song but i didn't want to make this any longer. From this year it is Figure This Out because I really like this story line. I think about the characters and what they might be up to from time to time. Out of all my fics I've probably read Through the Static the most because it's very short, and I constantly want to write something else that feels like it felt to write this. It still gives me chills every time I read it.

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

This part of Louis and the no good, very bad day is one of my favorite silly scenes. I love chaotic animal fics so much

“Did you name him?” Niall asks. “What?” “The goose. Did you name him?” “Why would I do that? He’s not a pet.” “Because he’ll be with you for an unknown amount of time. Seems like he should have a name. Like Horace. Or Lionel. Or Bruce! Bruce the Goose.” The goose lets out a short burst of little honks in what Louis can only describe as a happy goose noise. Louis shakes his head. “No. I’m not naming my Soulmate Goose. He’ll hopefully be gone in a few days and then I can get on with my life.” Honk!

Hi sugar. I’d love to do that for you. I have to say, this was a tough year for me and for whatever reason I didn’t find a lot that I loved, but all of these are really good reads.

distractions by fondleeds (E, 4K) one of my favorite authors. The writing just feels effortless. This one is super short but sexy, tender, and sweet.

Golden by Shaylea (E, 128K) I loved this author‘s last fic, and somehow, they managed to write another captivating story that’s so immersed in the country it takes place in. I was sucked in right from the start and really like how they write complex, flawed characters that you still root and cheer for. It’s a bit neat in its conclusion, but I think it’s very much worth a read.

The School of Extraordinary Lovers by Stylinsoncity (M, 191K) This author always knows how to write a deeply layered story that draws you into the world they create. This time it’s friends to enemies to lovers set in a world of magic, betrayal, and family honor. The ending is a bit simple for how complex the set up is, but I still loved reading it and couldn’t put it down for two days straight.

makes me wanna try her on by mercutionotromeo (E, 2K) if you haven’t dipped your toes into this author’s entire list of works. I love every single one. This one is very short, but wow does it pack a sexy punch.

Gold-skinned, eager baby by StarryDay13 / @daydreaming-sunflower (E, 17K) This was soft and tender and sexy and beautifully done. There were wonderful moments of gentleness and vulnerability as Harry awkwardly expresses his thoughts about his gender and his feelings for Louis, and as Louis reacts and holds space for who Harry is. I really just loved this one. And I cried. So that’s a bonus. 😆

where the tide takes you, I will follow by @pinkcords (E, 40K) First of all, I’m so happy this author is writing again! Second, everything about this was just lovely. The slow, dreamy tone of their writing fit the setting and the way Harry and Louis fell into each other so, so well. I love how descriptive their writing is without being flowery or pointless. The smut scenes were toe-curlingly sexy, and gave us beautiful insight into both of the boys. I just wanted to live inside this fic.

seven hours behind by justanothershadeofblue (E, 5K) very few people write canon these days, so it was such a nice surprise to read this one and, especially because it’s an author new to our fandom, and find the characterizations so well done. Plus, I love a fic that can combine a loving established relationship and dirty phone sex. 😆

no one's gonna know by jishler / @snowjosh (E, 9K) This author always does such a wonderful job of writing an established relationship fic where there’s so much warmth and expression between the characters, while also showing how much lust and passion there is. This is chock full of edging, exhibitionism, and dom/sub dynamics and it’s such a good read. 

Nothing’s the same as it was (save you) by metal-eye. / @metal-eye (T, 4K) This author’s fics are rare, not just because they only grace us with their writing now and then, but also because the words they chose to tell each story feel so precise and so special… each one is like unwrapping a gift. This one is a touching exploration of gender and support and dysphoria and comfort and it’s really just beautiful.

Hike Up Your Skirt (And Show Your World To Me) by Brooklyn_Babylon (E, 18K) This one is mine, but I’m proud of it and I hope you like it. Make sure you read the tags on this one because it’s not your conventional fic and Louis is definitely super manipulative. But if you like the idea of secretary Harry in lingerie, CEO Louis, copious amounts of dirty talk, some power imbalance, and exhibitionism… this could be for you.

The Lost Art of Breeding and (Mis) Behavior by @indiaalphawhiskey (E, 14K) Breeding kink just isn’t written enough in this fandom and this one takes a beautifully unique approach. It’s got the flavor of Captive Prince, combined with the feeling of reading about soulmates that you get with Harry and Louis. Super sexy and beautifully written.

given a chance by @ialwaysknewyouwerepunk (E, 18K) This was such a lovely exploration of childhood friends confronting why they fell out with each other.

Only Gonna Touch It by @lovingstheantidote (E, 3K) on the surface, it’s fic that’s about watching each other wank. But this author brought so much love and connection to the characters’ relationship and made it even sexier.

babydoll blues by devilinmybrain / @thedevilinmybrain (E, 112K) At last, the full-fledged, dirty, sugar baby fic we needed. Harry's character is so layered and so beautifully drawn, I just fell in love with him. Louis is sexy and powerful and also tender and sweet, just how I imagine the actual Louis to be. This author wrote one of my favorite fics of 2021, so I was really excited to dive into this one. They really know how to set a scene and draw you in to their characters. Scorching smut scenes, excellent use of side characters, and some angst that fully made me cry. Definitely worth a read!

Harry's House - Harry Styles. Really really loved this album, so great for a self care day.

Aftershock - Alexander 23. In my sad boy era but with a beat and I love it so much. "Cosplay" is my favorite song, love the imagery.

Faith in the future - Louis Tomlinson. Ummm best album of the decade, excuse you??? I am still fucking obsessed with this.

Girl of my dreams - FLETCHER. This is like an ablum that can describe me as a person hehe. The healing from past situations and your younger self, so good. I love love loooove it and it's also so fucking sexy.

Panorama - Hayley Kiyoko. Just so so sooo great for being creative? Writing of painting, Idk why, it's so good for my mind. And her voice😫😫

Rising - Mxmtoon. Love love, same as HsH, so great for self care. It has such a healthy and sweet energy to it. I can just bounce in my bathrobe and enjoy this.

Superache - Conan Gray. Probably my favorite album this year. It's soooo dramatic and I just needed it this year. Love the songs with every fiber of my soul.

Lover - Taylor Swift. Older album, but I only heard it first this year. My fav Taylor album. I love love and this album is great for late night dancing with my imaginary spouse lol.

Emails I can't send - Sabrina Carpenter. I only really got myself into this album a few weeks ago, but I love it. It's completely my vibe and I feel like I would write songs like those if I was a songwriter hehe. It's very me😅

With summer vacation finally here, you wanted him to actually have a vacation.

True, he was still a crime consultant and had planned missions, but you still tried to help him more than usual, so he could rest.

He’s kind of an introvert, so he usually spends his time inside his library or eating with the whole gang.

He usually only goes out for missions, or if you offer to go out and visit some places.

Museums, plays, new libraries, or parks are his usual go-to.

He loves talking about the story behind the places you visit, so you learn something new each time.

You were the one who suggested going to the beach since it fits with the season, and the whole gang agreed.

You and Louis prepared the food while James and Sebastian happily talked about what they would do on their vacation.

With Albert’s help, you and the whole gang went to the beach at his family’s beach house for a well-deserved break.

James and Sebastian were the most excited, immediately running to the ocean.

You helped Louis and Jack settle in, knowing those two were in their own world.

As usual, William was in the library, looking through the books.

He doesn’t really like going out, but he thinks it would be a nice change of pace.

As you two walked out, James and Sebastian, unfortunately, planned a prank.

When you were close enough to the ocean, they grabbed you by the arms and legs, throwing you into the water.

Wanting revenge, you splashed the water on them but accidentally hit Fred.

One thing led to another, and you all started a splash war. You pulled William in, wanting him to enjoy the water.

After that, you two tried to enjoy the place as much as possible.

Walking around the beach, visiting some tourist spots, trying some local food, even just resting on the sand with a good book.

When you two tried to make sandcastles, his looked like an actual kingdom.

He doesn’t spend every day outside, already comfortable and content in the library.

That doesn’t mean he didn’t enjoy the vacation. He just has his own way of spending it, and he’s grateful that you made this a reality.

Sherlock Holmes

Another one who doesn’t like going out.

Sherlock prefers staying in, sometimes writing new music on his violin while waiting for another case.

He doesn’t really like going out, seeing as he barely has money to pay his rent.

But when you had free tickets for a cruise, he was in.

He thought it would be boring with no mysteries to solve, but you had some plans to make it more interesting.

You two were a menace.

Playing around the deck, trying to explore the ship as much as possible, even at places you shouldn’t be, and trying every activity and somehow making it a competition.

Watson half gave up on you two, seeing you were having fun, and he wanted to take a break as well.

Same with Miss Hudson, who decided to just have fun and enjoy the sun.

You two were like children without adult vision, much to the other passenger’s dismay.

Definitely recreated the King of the World pose from Titanic at some point.

Speaking of, quoting Titanic at random moments.

“When was the last time you were on vacation?”

“It’s been eighty-four years…”

Even singing My Heart Will Go On terribly just to mess with each other.

Watson once caught you two doing the Jack dying scene in the pool while you were on a floatie.

People would stare, clearly judging you two, but you were having too much fun to care.

When Watson and Miss Hudson made you two behave yourselves, you two would pass the time making deductions of passersby.

At the end of the day, you two would visit each other in your rooms.

Have some snacks, talk about random things, and play made-up games.

It would be competitive, with how Sherlock would accuse you of cheating while he does it as well.

Sherlock once lost, and you made him do beauty self-care with you.

Miss Hudson even took a picture of Sherlock with a face mask as you gave him a manicure.

Simple to say, you two enjoyed it a lot.

Brokeback Mountain - a masterpiece, will make you cry for the following days.

Pride - Rising of the Pride movement in the UK in the 80s.

120 BPM - French movie about the AIDS epidemic and the ACTUP Paris protests in the 90s, very long but is worth every minute of it, will make you cry for the following months.

The Danish Girl- set in the 20s and based on a true story, I don’t want to spoil anything, will make you cry for the following years.

Call Me By Your Name - Timothée Chalamet, you don’t need any other reason to go watch this, will make you cry for the rest of your life, still not immune to its effect after the seventh rewatch.

Milk- based on the life of Harvey Milk.

Jongens - two cuties falling in love for the first time.

Center of my World - a bittersweet (more bitter than sweet actually) German movie with Louis Hoffman

Maurice - based on the homonymous novel by Forster. It’s VERY slow (like every movie set in the late 19th century/ in the 20th century) but young Hugh Grant made it more bearable.

Wilde - based on Oscar Wilde’s life, copy-past the thing I wrote for Maurice and replace Hugh Grant with Jude Law (even better in my opinion lol).

TV shows

Pose - a show about the NYC transgender community in the 80s/90s, AIDS epidemic and ballroom subculture. All the transgender characters are portrayed by transgender women. 3 seasons- 26 episodes.

Sex Education - the series that we deserved in our teenage years, it should have come out earlier but it’s better now than never

Young Royals- short and sweet, the Swedish prince falls in love for the first time with a boy from the working class.

Skam - highschool drama in 8 different languages.

We Are Who We Are- a Collaboration between Paolo Giordano and Luca Guadagnino (this should be enough). Two teenagers explore their sexuality and their identity. Set in the US military base of Chioggia (Italy) in 2016. Rumour has it that Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer did a cameo in it, I haven’t found Timothee yet.

When We Rise- a docudrama about the history of the LGBT movement in the US from the 70s to the 2010s (a mix between Milk and Pride). 1 season- 8 episodes.

Queer As Folk (US) - set in Pittsburgh in the early 2000s. A group of gay friends dealing with their lives filled with discrimination, SDT and HIV, love, coming out, and (too much) sex. 5 seasons- 83 episodes, very long but this didn’t stop me from binging more than 80 episodes in less than a week, I don’t regret it.

Eyewitness - crime, gays and internalized homophobia. 1 season- 10 episodes, too short but so good
