At the beginning

He was so hyped up when you debut, he attended your concert, and he was the first in the line, screaming the song.

I really believe that he copy and paste the link of your debut song to all the contacts that he had in hold hands.

He will give you advice about how is alright to take the brakes once in a while.

He will make sure to be friends (or leave a good impression) with all your bandmates. 

How he shows his love (in public, in private, etc.)

He won't stop talking about you.(he talks a lot about the things he loves)

Messages and calls in your free time, even between your activities, I believe that he would make time to do that.

When neither of you has idol activities, you would have dates in his room watching videos and documentaries about aliens, spending time together. (Natsume is so done with you two)

Kisses on the forehead and cheeks (Quick little kisses on the cheek in public) and a lot of hugs! 

Communication is the key, Leo will make sure to have it! 

I believe that one of his love languages is dedicating his songs to you.

When you and he are in the same concert he would go to the dressing room you are in and would give you encouragement

Another love language that he had is writing songs for you! if your group chooses one of the songs that he writes, he will say it to his fans.

How rumors start

Has I said before, he would say to his fans “By the way I write a song for (insert group name), they are very talented! I was really happy when they told me that they choose my song”

When he said that, all of his fans were a little suspicious about it, why does he have such interest in that group? That is how the rumors begin.

Another thing that caught the fan's attention was your actions.

On variety shows you would answer things like “Actually, my favorite song is (insert a knights song) because their voices are so beautiful” “I usually spend my free days with Leo-kun, we had a lot of fun!” “On my debut days, I always remember having a lovely supporter, thanks to them i keep going until today”

How the fans know about your relationship

Knights won an award, so they diced that Tsukasa and Leo would give the thanks speech to their fans.

Everything was going normal until Leo finished with “I wanna thank our princess for all the support that they gave us,  I wanna give a special thank to  (your name) for always supporting knights, but above all, for being my inspiration “ and with that, all the world knows that you and Leo were in a relationship 

“I´m sorry, I shouldn´t have done that,” he said with tears in his eyes.

“Don´t worry love, I am thankful to be in your life ” you whipped his tears with your hands, grabbing him by his cheeks.

“You are not angry with me?” he asked looking at your eyes, see those beautiful green eyes happy again was the only thing that really matters to you.

“If I was you in that situation, I would do the same, or even worse, I would scream that I love you, aliens would know at that moment that we are in love” Both of you laugh when you said the last thing

At the beginning

Unfortanetaly, He was in Florence by the time you debuted, but after your concert finished, he would call you to say that he was watching you online and all the moments that had him fall in love more with you.

I believe that he has a lot of merch about you in his room, Shu probably has complained about it.

He will give you advice like is alright to do work perfectly, but will be occasions when you can't do that, is important that even if you get frustrated about it, don't give up, you are gonna be alright, you are human after all, take a break, and keep it going.

If one of your bandmates gets too close, he would tell you that he is jealous about it (please he needs a lot of words of affirmation).

How he shows his love (in public, in private, etc.)

One of his love languages is gift-making knit things for you! You already had a whole closet with the things that he made.

He would check on you via messages,  he makes sure that you eat all your meals, and you are restringing well, etc.

When both of you had free time, you spent time together on dates outside ( like going to the beach, aquarium, looking at the stars) and inside (watching movies together, taking coffee while you catch up).

He is more to give hugs than kisses, in private we would love to kiss you on your cheeks (he gives you kisses on your hands when you are in public, he is very professional when both of you had worked together )

Izumi spent a lot of time working as a model, but when you need it he always is there for you.

“Izumi, don't you have work today?” “I reschedule it, have you eaten? get up, we are going to the cafeteria”

When both of you are on the stage, he will give little glances, only to make sure that you are alright.

Has I said before, he always does little things that prove that he loves you, for example, opening the door for you, carrying your things, ordering food for you, and retouching your make-up, etc.

How rumors start

It was his actions that betrayed him, he always makes sure that you are safe, little actions like holding your hand when both of you are getting down the stage, how he gives you attention when you speak on the microphone, etc.

Fancams of you and Izumi smiling at each other went viral, and soon both of you began to have worked as models for different campaigns (both of you were happy about it).

The connection that both have could be seen through the camera lenses, they invite you to a variety show.

How the fans know about your relationship.

In the variety show that you were invited to, you said it unconsciously, you found out when you saw the episode on the TV, fortunately, Izumi was with you at the time. 

In the episode, both of you were doing an activity that was a little dangerous and you said “Be careful love”, Izumi responded  “Don't worry, we are gonna win this”, and both of you know that this is only going to confirm the dating rumors.

“Are you scared?” he asked, you were in total shock, how could you say it so naturally? What is gonna happened next? Anxious thoughts were running wild in your mind.

“Love, look, everything will be alright, don't worry” you don't even notice when he approached until he was hugging you.

“I´m sorry” tears start to fall while hugging Izumi.

“What are you apologizing for? I couldn't be more proud that I have you as my partner, that we love each other” he murmurs in your ear “Besides, we are pretty obvious, and the media love us, so relax, believe in me that everything is gonna be alright” he whipped your tears.

can i ask, what’s wrong with dcc? i always hear that they kinda suck as a company, but from the vlogs i’ve seen, they’re one of the better companies. i’m not really as into dreamcatcher as some of the blogs on here even though i consider myself a stan, so i might not have the right information

okay. I feel like this is like opening my personal pandora box so this might be long. I'm pretty tired today so apologies in advance if this isn't very coherent asdkjh

dcc are a pretty decent company on a surface level, they treat the members well (which should be like the bare minimum for any company but I know that in this industry that's something to genuinely praise) and they actually change according/respond to negative feedback from the fandom etc when they or the members mess up (or they used to anyway).

for me it started in 2020 and how they handled handong's return. like the way they handled her absence was fine (good even, I would say), but the lack of hype for her actual return made things feel so underwhelming even though it was supposed to feel like a relief that she was finally back. I can't remember all the details anymore, but I do remember that the first time I felt like things were actually alright with dc was when they did the online concert crossroads in march of 2021. on that note I think most ppl were expecting ttol and dlm to be repackaged with ot7 versions and yet it's 2024 and they still haven't released them.

the handong stuff atp is water under the bridge tho, the group is fine, the members are fine, etc, I'm only mentioning it because that's when things started to feel really off for me.

so now we get into the actual things that happened that have left the fandom feeling burned out/frustrated/disconnected etc etc, whereas this happened to me at the end of 2022, I'm seeing more people now going through what I did back then:

I think the most pressing thing was that dcc didn't capitalize at all on dc's first win. they got their first win in april 2022 and didn't even do anything special in korea to commemorate it. it was a HUGE moment and they did nothing with it. usually after a group gets a first win you'll see them getting more promotions in korea, magazine photoshoots, mc deals, etc but dc just went on ahead to do festivals in europe and have a usa tour, these things are not bad but it was the lack of promotion in korea that in turn just made it all feel useless. that year dc also weren't invited to any end of year awards if I'm not mistaken so it all felt really disappointing and like all of the work we had as a fandom had been for nothing. I have to reiterate, dc/insomnias had been getting screwed over on music shows since 2019 with deja vu to get that first win, like I don't want to talk about the injustices the group and this fandom suffered through the years but it was a true story of resilience, so getting that first win in 2022 was a huge relief. to see it all going to waste was just... heartbreaking honestly.

when it comes to tours...... god I don't wanna get too much into it, but 4 tours in the usa in the span of 2 years is not normal. specially when they're prioritizing that over having a proper asia tour and the likes (AND promoting in korea??). latam tour is practically sold out rn and they're getting no merch or m&g benefits like the usa tour. I don't think doing exclusive things for a specific tour is bad per say, but you have to treat all your fans semi equally at least, specially for a group whose fanbase is majorly international (this will be important later), or it will happen what is happening rn which is ppl will leave the fandom. This is the first latam tour since 2019 (2017 for brazil!)... they've waited a really long time so personally (even tho this doesn't affect me bc I'm european) I feel like it's really disrespectful but wtv, onto other things.

now, speaking of the fanbase being majorly international, if this is the case, you'd think the company would make an effort to stream important events to their fans, like hmm the 7th anniversary concert perhaps? but nop, that didn't get streamed. a repetition of the dumbassery they did in 2022 where they split the concert and the members' solos in 2 days and only streamed one and so intl fans couldn't watch half the solo stages? and don't get me wrong, I think it's important that they have events that are korea only like they have the fansigns etc, but something as major as their 7th anniversary? when they've gotten here thanks to their international fans? that stings a little.

and lastly (maybe), we have dcc's usual lack of promotion during comebacks. fans always paying for ads, intl fans always doing the most for digitals even when it's Not their place (because this is smth that the korean fandom and dcc should be responsible for), fans having to reach out for vendors etc... Justice cb truly has been the culmination of the very worst promotions dcc has done tho and there have been some really bad promotions before... no radio shows, minimum interviews, barely any variety... were there even any ads? usually it's always fans paying out of pocket for ads. it just feels like throwing the members' and the company's work out the window for no good reason? Virtuous is one of their best albums and yet it feels like they just dumped it to go on tour again. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing btw, having short promotions in korea is fine but like... promote for real? give your fandom content that they can watch and rewatch for however long it takes your group to have another cb? specially now that it seems that they're shifting to one album per year (not sure this is their wisest decision tho all things considered), you have to make sure that you promote that album properly? which kinda also goes with like, giving your fandom enough time to save for what you release and put out, specially if you're not trying to grow the fandom anymore. if they're dropping an album then don't announce a tour on top of that, and if they're announcing a tour then don't announce a photobook on top of that, and if they've just released an album then wait longer than a month to announce a photobook, and if they've just dropped a photobook then wait a bit longer until announcing the re print of albums the fans have been begging you for 6 years to re print LOL bc all this does is frustrate fans who can't make that much money in such a short time and it's stupid. like. in 2018 I dropped like 200 euros for like their very first photobook BECAUSE I had time to save that amount from their you and I cb (may) to whenever it was announced (I think it was august), and that was the highest tier (so you could get it for much cheaper) and bc back then it was like. well they barely release anything other than albums, so it's fine (also shipping was sooooooo much cheaper I miss it everyday, ofc this is not their fault tho but anyways).

lastly actually, oh my god. that stupid ass app where fans pay a subscription to message the members privately? has been the fucking worst thing to happen to this fandom and the members imo. if fans weren't respecting their boundaries before, it's even worse now. but it's also like. yeah the members should be reinforcing those boundaries, and I get wanting to at least make a buck of those problematic type of fans but I just don't think it has been good for the members at all. I won't elaborate too much on this because it will genuinely piss me the hell off but bottom line: that app has been hell for everyone genuinely there is no bright side to it other than dcc makes money out of it. and there's better ways to make money :))))))))

anyway this is over 1k words atp and somehow I feel like this all just the tip of the iceberg and I probably have forgotten many things bc tbh in the past year I've just. been trying to make peace with it all and just accept things for what they are because dc have been really special to me for such a long time and I just don't want dcc's decisions to make me throw all of that away (like I almost did). I love their music, I love the members, and so I will continue to celebrate wtv right decisions dcc makes but I'm not going to pretend that they're a good company when it comes to business decisions bc they're really not

What if there was a K-pop based game? Not a Just Dance K-pop edition, but an actual game? What would the gameplay be like? Would you play or buy it? And who should be the first cover idol?

This honestly shouldn't be something I put so much thought into, and it's only scratching the surface, but there's so much material and concepts you could do with a K-pop based game. Other suggestions have already been tackled and explained tactfully, such as gameplay and Career/Story Mode, so here's a list of things and ideas I would like to see in a hypothetical game:

Cover idol:

I think if it’s not BTS or Blackpink, especially for the first game, you’d cause a huge riot. They are far and away the two most popular and recognized K-pop groups of all time, and are basically most Westerners’ gateway to the genre. It makes sense why not them, they’re currently inactive (esp. since BTS are in the military), but I’d argue that you should easily make two cover versions of the game—one with BTS, the other Blackpink. If it has to be one active idol, you could go with many options: Wonyoung, Karina, An Yujin, Yeji, Chaewon, Winter, Seulgi, Sana, Miyeon. It would be cool to have a foreign idol, but it has to be a Korean first, and I’d personally go with Wonyoung. For the Legacy/Legend Editions, I’d pick IU.

MyGM:

You could go three ways with a MyGM mode. Group based, company based, and music show based. All three will have similar gameplay elements, but have different ways and strategies to go about managing a successful group, company or music show. 

MyIdol could be you as a singular group’s manager, scheduling comebacks, concerts, days-off, and so on during a calendar year. There’s a stamina/morale system to balance between working them for profit/popularity and resting them so that none of the members get disgruntled and leave or be sidelined. You’d also have to make decisions for the members’ solo opportunities, line distribution, and more.

MyCompany is larger in scale—you now run an entire company or sublabel (good luck if you’re running Cube or SM lmao). You have to manage every artist’s comebacks and schedules, or else they leave or demand a contract termination. An addition from MyIdol is the ability to sign other idols/artists/trainees on the free agent market and you can add them to existing groups or create new groups with your current roster. 

MyMusicShow would basically be WWE 2K’s MyGM. You’re in charge of a music show/Korean TV station like KBS’ Music Bank or SBS’ Inkigayo and you have to compete with other networks for the best ratings of the week throughout a calendar year. You can negotiate exclusive contracts with other agencies so that their groups can only appear on your programs, as well as managing set designs/TV booking (who wins on your show)/screentime for the artists on your show. 

Universe Mode:

What it says on the tin: you have control over the entire industry and decide who are the top dogs, create special collaborations, send groups on international stages, etc.

Showcase Mode:

Depends on who’s the cover idol: you basically replay some of their most iconic/legendary stages throughout their career. If it were someone like Wonyoung for example, it would include her Very Very Very performance from PD48, that one Love Dive baseball stage, K-Pop Flex 2022, her 2022 Melon Music Awards performance, and so on. You could also do one for whoever’s on the Legend/Legacy Edition cover.

Roster:

Depending on which companies are down for it, I expect all the current 4th/5th gen guys to be available from the start, while 3rd/2nd gen groups are labeled as Legends/Legacy and require some grinding to unlock (with few exceptions). Newer groups would probably be DLC or groups from prominent eras/releases (like 2018 TWICE or 2010 SNSD for example). TheLibrarian’s suggestion of having boy group/girl group only versions is also a possible option, but c’mon, if the NBA and WWE 2K games can include both their men and women’s rosters, I see no reason for the K-pop game not to do the same.

I put so much unnecessary thought into it for some reason, I even tried making concept covers of my own using my ideas and others (they're kinda bad XD). Sorry you had to read through all that.

Taekook are not out in public events together as much as any of the others like hopemin now in Paris or 94s in the W event. Is the shippers/ antis fault or is it more of the artists' choice?

Part 2 of the question is we hardly get to see Taekook even on SNS, specially JK. Wouldn't it hurt his fandom in the long run? Wouldn't he lose followers due to lack of engagement?

Being out at public events (premieres, concerts, fashion shows etc) together (just the two of them) isn't likely to be on the cards anytime soon, been seen out in public (going to the cinema, bowling, meals etc) together is. They are two different things. Being seen out in general will be more "private" and not linked to officials scheduled events like a film premiere or award show. Overall, this choice is mostly a joint Taekook/HYBE decision to make.

Being less visible on Social Media isn't likely to hurt an artist unless that SNS is a key driver of their influence or marketability. JK is, and always has been, an intermittent poster. He'll go through periods of posting several posts then nothing for weeks/months. I do think as his music/project near his SNS activity will increase.

Omg this doesn't make you sound stupid or America-focused! It's really difficult to judge how popular particular genres of music are in other countries unless you specifically go out and research it - especially with streaming and social media really blurring the geographic lines of audiences. I have no idea how popular British artists are in other countries either until I see people talking about them, you really don't need to worry.

I think country music has become steadily more popular in the UK in the last twenty years but really become a thing in the last five or so, although there has always been an interest in it and the big legendary acts - Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, John Denver, Johnny Cash etc - have always been well known. (For instance my Dad has a massive love of country rock from the 70s and 80s - and also Mary Chapin Carpenter!)

Taylor has been a big part of the growth of country (Fearless, Speak Now, and Red & their singles all charted here and got a lot of radio play, as well as Teardrops on My Guitar (I can't remember if anything else from debut did?)) but plenty of other current country artists are really popular. Here's an article I found on the most streamed country songs in the UK of all time (x) which is a pretty interesting read. It's not the biggest US genre to have crossed over - pop and rap (and their various sub genres) are much more popular - but it's a lot more popular than it was. (There's actually this massive festival here called Country2Country spread over three venues in England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland that has US acts come in and play over a weekend (all the acts rotate through all the venues, it's really cool) which is actually where I discovered Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris!)

Eric Church isn't super popular here but I've seen him in concert twice and he draws a decent crowd. I actually heard about him through my Dad - there's a music TV show in the UK called 'Later... with Jools Holland' that Eric performed on in 2013. My Dad saw the episode and thought he was awesome, so he bought the album Chief and basically played it non stop in the car all that summer. We've bought each other Eric's albums and go to his concerts together so he's a really special artist for me and my Dad. He's my favourite artist after Taylor and I think his songwriting is phenomenonal. What are your favourite Church albums? (Also have you heard the song Church by Thomas Rhett? It's all about falling in love to a soundtrack of Eric Church songs!)

And yeah I LOVE the Chicks! My favourite album is Taking the Long Way but I do really love Fly - Ready to Run is my favourite from that album! I think my all time favourite song from them though is Wide Open Spaces!

We really don't know it's a lie. I know others have said many reasons for why etc but I think about all the images i have saved. How many images were saved in total on Pinterest? I have too many.

I mean, sometimes I've downloaded the same image multiple times bc I liked the photo, then I have five copies of the same pic of the same animal or historical costume. I didn't remember having downloaded it before. No dementia etc, lol just 10,000 images saved on my phone. It's hard to remember each individual one.

Maybe the image got stuck in her head? Didn't remember. Maybe she was proud of it and the realization that it looked like someone else's made her sad? I dunno, as I said before it's imo not a big deal to me. Art is art, be creative and have fun. 😊 so for me it's not hard to be understanding when someone says it's a coincidence. I mean I can't prove otherwise so I take them at their word. I try to be understanding, I'm not perfect, I don't expect others to be either. I just try to relate or be understanding (except in cases of murder/rape/child abuse etc).

But I think JM has already established an awesome career by herself! She's got her education under her belt, Several musicals "she loves you" "Grease" "Atlantis" by her own talent. Two movies and nominated for awards before she even met AHA. She's been in so many musicals, concert specials. She got the lead in Askepot before call me dad was cast, so before she met him. Two tv shows out, and Wicked coming up! Imo that's an amazing, well established career. And I was glad to see an actor I think is really good/cool get with someone so accomplished! 😊 and not just bc she's beautiful (imo). So she didn't need him for a career boost, she had gotten 3-4 more thousand followers. But that's not a lot, but musical theater is sadly not as popular lol. Like gymnastics is popular, but sadly my favorite, rhythmic gymnastics isn't as popular. Haven't checked the Olympics schedule yet, but I bet it's on early morning or extra late at night. Sigh. But anyways like Broadway and Tony Awards aren't as big as Hollywood and the Oscars.

I feel like the slow dancing mv is very high quality and that's why the other 3 are more on the simple side. Funding 5 mvs is not cheap, so they can't all be extravagant.

I think Tae did a good job going with min heejin because at least she got him a longer promo schedule with a lot of shows in comparison to what the other members got with BH. Even Jimin wanted mvs for all tracks but he got denied by bh. Plus Tae's physical album is the best out of all members, but that's not surprising because new jeans puts out very creative albums. If anything, this has shown me that nobody really has special treatment.. bh just kinda sucks at promo in general and that's why jungkook and Tae's stuff is very different than the other guys

The MVs aren't low quality. They're pretty and filmed well, but they aren't super engaging nor do they elevate the songs all that much imo. They're just normal MVs - most MVs are nothing special, that's the truth. There are plenty of soloists in kpop with these kind of MVs, except maybe less polished. Hybe's a super rich. If V wanted a more bombastic MV he would've gotten one, I'm sure. Also, Jimin probably could've insisted on having more MVs or negotiated something. Hybe's rich and Jimin's a millionaire - he could've helped fund the MVs himself.

I'm not sure what you mean about the longer promo schedule? Suga did a whole ass tour - that was months of promo -, on top of two MVs, a couple variety shows, Suchwita, NBA, Valentino, Samsung, a documentary, a live showing of his concert on cinemas, TikTok challenges, etc. etc. J-Hope did a lot of promo and performances before enlisting, including major end of the year award shows and NYE performances. RM did really interesting promos, combining his love for art with music, and chose not to do any of the usual idol promos. Jimin did a ton of variety shows, TikTok challenges, a couple of magazine covers, announced two ambassadorships, went on a few music shows, went on Jimmy Fallon, etc. and is probably cooking up a new album as we speak. What did V do that was different from what Jimin did? Aside from the promo before the album dropped, which was different from everyone else - but not necessarily better, seeing as it didn't build up anticipation for the album all that much imo -, what V did was go on a couple of music shows, Suchwita (like everyone else), Pallete (like Sope), Running Man (like Jin), Tiny Desk (like RM), plus all the normal ambassador stuff with Celine (that he does more of than the other members, by choice)... I'm not sure in what way he had a longer promo schedule. Also, I doubt MHJ was a part of that. We know the members are the ones who decide what they want to do. Jungkook and RM are the only ones who promoted their music differently. RM, because he didn't do any of the normal idol promos, and Jungkook, because he promoted more on the US and the UK - but his promo period was probably the shortest of all.
