The mcu fandom’s fav pastime now is arguing about whether Wanda or Loki would win in a 1v1 fight, but we’re not ready to admit that they essentially have the exact same powers.
Mind control, reality manipulation, telekinesis. They’re even both ‘destined’ to sit on a multiversal throne, I mean come on guys.
#I mean you could debate which one of them has stronger powers or more specific powers#or like the tiny details about what they can and can’t do with those powers#but those two are so remarkably similar I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone else point it out yet#come to think of it their backstories and goals etc are also crazy similar#like as much as I don’t care for mcu Wanda even I’m not above admitting that she and Loki wouldn’t fight if they met#they’d hate each other for 3 seconds and then become besties#wanda maximoff#mcu Wanda#scarlett witch#scarlet witch#loki#mcu Loki#gos loki#mcu#mcu phase 6#I think? idk I’m not keeping up with it anymore#mcu fandom

The Corpsemouth
Prompt: Sparklers & Fireworks
Fandom: Scarletvision (Wanda Maximoff and Vision, MCU)
Word Count: 2047
Warnings: Mentions of a horror monster and a full smut scene.
***
“Are we sure that this is a wise idea, Mr. Stark?” Vision asked. He trailed behind Tony, dragging Wanda by the hand as she struggled to keep up with his large strides.
Tony scoffed.
“Relax, Mother Hen. This is the best idea ever.”
Only, it wasn’t the best idea ever. Not even close.
When Tony decided that their Fourth of July celebration would close out with a fireworks show conducted by the billionaire himself, Vision knew it wouldn’t end well. And now, here they were in the dark after a rogue firework spiraled out of the perimeter and hit the power lines. Luckily, Thor and Steve were able to put out the small fire that started in the aftermath.
“Well that was fun,” Clint deadpanned, slapping his knees and standing. “Can’t believe I left the family barbeque for this. I’m going home.”
“You’re no fun, Barton!” Tony yelled as the archer disappeared in the darkness.
“You know…” Sam started, his voice low. “This is the perfect time for The Corpsemouth to appear.”
“The what?” Natasha asked, rolling her eyes. “That doesn’t even sound like a real thing.”
“Oh, it’s real,” Sam confirmed, the sound of a beer cracking open piercing through the inky air. “He takes advantage of situations like this. Ambushes when people are at their most vulnerable.”
“We’re never vulnerable,” Thor laughed.
“You say that now,” Sam warned. “But you won’t say that when Corpsemouth is dining on your throat.”
“Dining on… throats?” Vision piped up. He gulped. “This Corpsemouth… how bad is it?”
“Worse than Ultron,” Sam said.
“How so?” Vision asked.
“He won’t spare you time with pointless conversation. He’ll just kill you and ask questions later.”
“You’re full of shit,” Natasha spat. “There’s no such thing as The Corpsemouth.”
“Perhaps he’s right,” Vision said, taking Wanda’s hand. “We wouldn’t want to be caught off guard.”
“Sam,” Wanda warned. She gave Vision’s hand a light squeeze. “Stop it. You’re scaring him.”
“I am not scared,” Vision insisted.
But his grip on Wanda’s hand told a different story. Vision, while tough as nails when it came to battle, was a proverbial school girl when faced with a ghost story. He didn’t even like half of the Halloween episodes of the sitcoms he and Wanda watched together. There was no way the talk of Corpsemouth wasn’t scaring him.
“They call him Corpsemouth because that’s how he kills you,” Sam went on, his voice a low brooding rumble for effect. “With his razor sharp teeth and jaws like an alligator.”
“Excuse me,” Vision said, standing abruptly. He disappeared into the shadows but it was clear he was walking to the compound.
“Dammit, Sam!” Wanda snapped. She stood up and took off in the direction Vision went.
It was nearly impossible for Wanda to see on her way to the compound. She raised her hand up, using the scarlet orb that floated above it as a source of light. It wasn’t much, but it got her to the front door. She pushed the door open with her free hand and slipped inside.
“Vis?”
She searched the first floor, hoping she’d find him in the living room, but no luck. He must have been in his room, hiding away from the teasing tones of Sam and his stories. The thing about Vision is that he probably knew the story was horse shit; that Sam was just trying to have a little fun in a less than stellar situation, but it still scared him. He still had trouble differentiating fact from fiction when it came to the supernatural.
As expected, he was in his room. He sat on one of the large chairs, staring at the wall. Wanda opened the door loudly and coughed, announcing her entrance but approaching Vision slowly. She placed a hand on his shoulder, giving a gentle squeeze.
“You know he was fucking with you, right?” Wanda asked. “There’s no Corpsemouth.”
“I know,” Vision replied. He stood up and turned to face Wanda. “But at that moment, I was unable to convince myself that Sam’s story was fabricated.”
“Well, it’s over now,” Wanda said, putting her arms out for a hug. “And it’s not real.”
Vision walked into Wanda’s arms, setting his head on top of her head as her arms wrapped around his waist.
“Come to my room?” she asked. “I’ve got candles and we can play with those dice you like.”
“I’d really like that.”
***
The room was illuminated in a soft glow from the candles Wanda lit, the two of them sitting on Wanda’s bed.
“You roll first,” Wanda said. She dropped two black dice into Vision’s hand and waited for the result.
He rolled, letting the dice go between them on the bed.
“Pinch. Ears.” Vision tilted his head in confusion. “I suppose I should do as I’m told?”
Wanda grabbed her ears.
“They’re all yours.”
They laughed and Vision extended his arms, taking Wanda’s earlobes between his thumbs and forefingers. He gave a quick pinch as Wanda giggled and then dropped his hands.
“That was a bogus roll. Mine is going to be better,” Wanda gloated, grabbing the dice from the bed and rolling them. “Bite. Boobs.”
Wanda laughed again, this time a loud guffaw that echoed in the dimly lit, silent room. Vision knew what to do. Slowly, he lifted his shirt to show his chest.
“Please watch the Vibranium,” he said. “I wouldn’t want you to chip a tooth.”
Wanda nodded and moved in, finding a spot on Vision’s chest that was skin. She opened her mouth and sunk her teeth in gently, lightly nipping at the spot. Vision shivered under her movements, bringing a hand to the back of her head.
“I need to stop,” Wanda said, allowing Vision to move his hand from her head before she resurfaced. “If I didn’t stop, I would have kept going lower and we only just started the game.”
“Foreplay is an essential component of a healthy sex life,” Vision recited. He grabbed the dice and shook them around in his hand, letting them go in the middle of the bed again. “Massage. Nipple.”
Wanda sucked on her bottom lip, eyeing Vision. It was her turn to lift her shirt and she lifted it and her bra in one quick motion. Her breasts bounced with the force as Vision’s eyes went straight to Wanda’s nakedness. Wasting no time, he reached out and with two fingers pressed the pads against Wanda’s nipple. Slowly, he began to rub circles around the nub as it hardened under his fingers.
“Vis,” Wanda moaned, thrusting her chest forward. “Use your mouth.”
“But the dice-”
“Please.”
Vision complied, moving in on Wanda’s left breast he took the hard nipple in his mouth, sucking on it and swirling his tongue around the nub.
As Vision pulled away, Wanda grabbed the dice from the bed.
“Last roll,” she said, her voice coming out huskier than usual. She didn’t bother pulling her shirt down. Instead, she pulled both garments over her head and flung them across the room before rolling the dice.
“Kiss,” Vision read, his eyes slowly moving to the second die. “Balls/Labia.”
A sudden rush of laughter hit both of them. The dice made it sound ridiculous, but Wanda knew that this would definitely lead to so much more.
“I guess we should listen to the dice,” Wanda said playfully. She crawled on her hands and knees toward Vision, prompting him to lie back on the bed as she got closer.
Without hesitation, Vision phased out of his clothes, leaving him bare and waiting for Wanda to comply with the dice’s command.
Wanda moved closer, taking Vision’s soft cock in her hand and lifting it up so she could get to his balls. She was careful with her movements as she closed in and pressed her lips to Vision’s balls.
It went silent, and then suddenly, they were laughing again.
“That was so weird,” Wanda admitted. “Having to just kiss your balls like that. You’re not even hard.”
“Not yet,” Vision replied coyly, his eyes traveling to where Wanda’s hand was still wrapped around his cock.
For Wanda, the message was clear and she was ready to get to work. She closed back in on Vision and wet her lips before slipping his soft cock into her mouth. She swirled her tongue around the head, and across the slit, reveling in the way that she could take him fully into her mouth before he was fully hard. She fell into an easy rhythm, sucking and licking every inch of him.
Vision’s hands fell to Wanda’s head, combing his fingers through her hair as she bobbed up and down on his cock.
Wanda felt Vision getting harder in her mouth, and he was quickly too big for her to fit in her mouth completely. She pulled back, adding her hand to the rhythm. As she worked on him with her mouth, she also pumped her hand up and down his length.
“Wanda…” Vision croaked, lifting his hips and pushing himself further into her mouth. “Don’t stop.”
Wanda had no intention of stopping. She ran her free hand up Vision’s stomach, dragging her fingers along the mixture of soft synthetic skin and strong Vibranium, finding a spot where the two met. Only she and Vision knew it, but he was ticklish where skin met Vibranium. She moved her fingers to a spot just on his stomach and traced the seam.
Vision immediately tensed up, a moan turning into a laugh and back into a moan when Wanda started laughing. The vibration of her amusement against his cock sent him into a spiral of bliss, his hips coming up again, driving his cock into Wanda’s mouth, hitting the back of her throat.
Wanda pulled away, his cock coming out of her mouth with a wet pop.
“You’re eager tonight,” Wanda observed, amusement playing on her face. She changed positions swiftly, going from lying between Vision’s legs to shedding her pants and underwear and hoisting her leg over his body, his cock coming to rest between her ass cheeks. “This might be a better option for us tonight.”
Wanda sat up, reaching back and taking Vision in her hand, guiding it to her middle. When the head parted her lips, she quickly sank down on his cock, sheathing him inside her before lying down flat against Vision’s chest.
“Go for it,” she instructed, letting him know he was free to move his hips and fuck her however he wanted to.
Vision’s arms wrapped around Wanda’s body, his knees popping up as he pressed his feet flat against the bed for leverage. He pulled out halfway, slowly, but when he thrust up, driving himself back into Wanda his movements were quick, rhythmic and relentless.
With their bodies pressed together, they worked as one to find their bliss.
Vision came first. His moan became an apology for doing so, one that Wanda didn’t want to hear.
“Shhh, don’t apologize,” she said, caressing Vision’s face. “I just want to hear you moan for me.”
All words that threatened to fall from Vision’s lips disappeared at Wanda’s request. He let his orgasm wash over him, apologies turning back to moans as he emptied inside her. His next move was quick. He sat up, taking Wanda with him and flipped her onto her back. He pulled his cock out of her and brought his fingers to her clit, rubbing the sensitive nerve with care and determination.
“Yes, Vis! Just like that,” Wanda cried out, swirling her hips underneath him. With a few more strokes, it was Wanda’s turn to come, legs shaking with the intensity of it. She yelled Vision’s name, not caring who heard her in the quiet of the blackout.
As Wanda came back down, her breath evening out and her senses returning, Vision caressed her thighs, helping her calm down.
“The dice win again,” Wanda finally said, laughing. They’d never gotten to use the dice very long, any instruction given to them always quickly escalated into something more. Vision joined in the laughter, the deep cadence of his chuckles was music to her ears and she smiled to herself, knowing that any thoughts of Corpsemouth were now gone from Vision’s immediate memory.

“WandaVision In Review”
The first of many Marvel Disney+ shows has just recently concluded. With fan theories running rampant, and twists and turns during almost every episode, it isn’t surprising that WandaVision was so successful. However, the show is not without its own issues as nothing can ever be quite perfect. Below is our spoiler-filled review of WandaVision.
My first impression when watching the early (first two) episodes of WandaVision was confusion. I had a hard time trying to determine why Disney and Marvel would take us on a nostalgia tour through classic television series featuring two underserved and underutilized Avengers. I have to admit, I wasn’t overly invested in the project in the beginning. I enjoyed the references to The Dick Van Dyke Show and Bewitched, but I honestly didn’t care much for it past that point. Despite this, I kept watching for curiosity’s sake, and it certainly paid off.
When it becomes clear that Wanda is more in control of this reality than was initially assumed, I was hooked. I’m a big fan of Wanda Maximoff as a character. In the comics she has been a force to be reckoned with and the Marvel Cinematic Universe hadn’t seized the opportunity to really utilize her until this point. It was exciting to see Wanda use her powers in a way we hadn’t gotten to see on screen before, and the ending definitely implies that this is just the tip of the iceberg for her.
As someone who has been critical of Vision in both comics and film, I have to say that this did wonders for his character as well. We finally get to see a more “human” side of the synthezoid. That said, it’s hard to determine how real this side of him was, as he’s technically a manifestation of Wanda’s grief. At the very least, we get to see Vision as Wanda saw him, which is almost beautiful in its own right.
As mentioned above, some of the best content to come out of WandaVision is the character development. While the two titular characters had the most development, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the other characters who stuck out. The first of which is Monica Rambeau. The last time we saw this character she was a child in Captain Marvel, and while she may have been dreaming for the stars, she had a lot of growing up to do before she became the version of her we see in the show.
Monica was another bright spot in the show, she was fearless, and certainly didn’t back away from a challenge. She, similarly to Wanda, is dealing with grief. Losing her mother in addition to the last five years of her life, would be maddening to anyone, yet Monica jumps right back in to work at SWORD, and is often the voice of reason throughout the series. It was also incredibly exciting to see Monica get her powers after being exposed to the boundaries of Wanda’s “hex” three separate times. We even got to see her powers in action, first being able to withstand Wanda’s attack to get her to leave the neighborhood again, and then being literally bulletproof in the finale. I don’t think I need to go too deeply into the significance of the MCU literally giving us a bulletproof black female superhero! It was amazing, seeing her protect Billy and Tommy, while also being impervious to Hayward’s attack. It was a powerful scene that only highlighted Monica’s character even more.
However, what impressed me most about this character was her empathy to Wanda. No one would have been overly critical of Monica if she had taken Hayward’s side. After all, she too was held hostage by Wanda and forced to play a role in Wanda’s show. The experience was even described as “excruciating,” in Hayward’s retelling of Monica’s experience, and yet Monica is unyielding in her opinion that Wanda is not doing this maliciously. In fact, she willingly exposes herself back into the “hex” despite knowing that it is quite literally altering her DNA, with unknown side effects. This was something that Jimmy Woo wasn’t even willing to expose himself to once. During his first scene in the show, he says he doesn’t enter the town because he can “feel” that they’re not supposed to go inside. He stays true to that throughout the series, only entering Westview when Wanda breaks down the “hex” during the final episode.
As mentioned previously, Jimmy Woo was another character we got to see develop a bit since his Ant-Man and the Wasp appearance. He and Thor’s Darcy Lewis, were oftentimes the comic relief in the show when things got heavier. However, we got to see a side of Jimmy Woo’s character that we hadn’t seen before. While he was appreciated in Ant-Man and the Wasp, he was often at odds with Scott Lang as he was assigned to make sure that Scott was following his house arrest. It was refreshing to see Jimmy defy Hayward and fight back, being a key role in thwarting his escape.
It was nice to see Darcy Lewis get in on the action as well. In the Thor franchise she was often comic relief but rarely in the spotlight during action scenes. While she still didn’t do much fighting in WandaVision it was refreshing to see her stop Hayward with her stolen truck, and have her be the leading expert during SWORD’s investigation of Wanda. It was particularly exciting to see that she has earned her doctorate, so she is no longer Jane’s intern, and isn’t playing second fiddle to Jane Foster or Erik Selvig.
Finally, Kathryn Han’s Agatha Harkness is also deserving of praise. With the exception of a few of the films, Marvel has had a bit of an issue with giving fans villains that were worthy adversaries to their favorite heroes. This was not the case with Agatha Harkness. Seeing her toy with Wanda throughout the series was a highlight of the show and seeing her be a full fledged witch was equally as exciting. While Wanda defeated her in the finale, they certainly left the door open for Agatha to return, and I certainly hope they find a way to incorporate her in the future.
While I have mostly praised WandaVision, I have to mention some of the negatives as well. Overall, I greatly enjoyed the show, there are still a few points that I took issue with. The first of which is Maria Rambeau. Maria Rambeau was last seen in the Captain Marvel film and had become a bit of a fan favorite. She was a pilot, similar to Carol Danvers before gaining powers from the Space Stone, single mother, and according to WandaVision the eventual director of SWORD, yet she is killed off-screen from cancer.
While this is frustrating for a number of reasons, I was particularly miffed because Marvel still has a long way to go in terms of diversity in their films, and to kill off one of your few female black characters off screen left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. That’s without getting too deep into the fact that many fans were hopeful that Maria and Carol might have a romantic relationship in the sequel, and this all but confirms that won’t be the case. This adds another layer to the fact that Marvel has yet to have an LGBTQ+ hero in the films.
Additionally, the Marvel films have always handled Wanda and Pietro’s Romani roots poorly. Not only are the actors not of Romani descent, the culture of their characters is often used as a prop or a joke. Specifically, Wanda’s costume in the Halloween episode being referred to as a “fortune teller.”
Additionally, having the twins willing join Hydra--a Nazi organization while having Romani and Jewish roots, through their father Erik Lehnsherr, in the comics has always rubbed me the wrong way. WandaVision had an opportunity to remedy that when Wanda is reliving her past. They could have easily given us a one off line about Wanda and Pietro not knowing that it was Hydra when they signed up to be experimented on and didn’t find out until later. Unfortunately, all we get is a line about the twins wanting to “change the world.”
One of the other issues that I took was the presence of Evan Peters’s Quicksilver. Initially, I was very excited to see him show up on the show and hoped that this meant we’d be seeing more of Fox’s X-Men in future Marvel films. Not only was he not the real Quicksilver, but he was instead just a long running “boner” joke, as he was Ralph Bohner, Wanda and Vision’s next door neighbor that Agatha was controlling. While I wasn’t expecting him to be a huge character, I was hoping for something a bit more significant than Ralph Bohner.
Finally, something that has been sticking out in my head for a while is Jimmy Woo’s missing person. Jimmy Woo mentions in his first scene that Quantico had sent him to investigate a missing person in witness protection, who lived in Westview. Initially, this was who I believed Evan Peters’s character to truly be, yet when Jimmy sees him on screen in the All New Halloween Spectacular episode, he just makes a note that Pietro has “the wrong face,” and doesn’t indicate that he recognizes him. In fact, Jimmy’s missing person is never mentioned again later in the season and it seems as though that was just a plot device used to include him in the show.
Overall, I greatly enjoyed WandaVision. It was refreshing to have Marvel be able to spend six hours to devote to character development and plot rather than it just being action-centric. I think the show was an excellent first step in setting up a post-Iron Man Cinematic Universe. After Avengers: Endgame, so many characters were lost, and it felt like a finale of sorts. I think this was a great way to continue the story with a whisper rather than a bang, and I look forward to their upcoming Disney+ content.
WandaVision is currently streaming on Disney+.

MASTERLIST
Chapter Nine - Mission Control
It was hard to feel like a bad ass when your father was carrying you in his arms through the air to the jet. As soon as Tony flew into the quinjet and put you down Sam was squeezing the life out of you.
“First of all, you don’t go on any more damn dates before I have the chance to size them up. Second of all you don’t go out on your own, ever. You understand me?”
“If I say yes will you let me breathe?”
“I’ll consider it.”
“Ok ok, I understand!” You yelped.
Sam Wilson had a hug on him that could fell a super soldier, which actually wasn’t that surprising.
Steve nodded in greeting to you and waved you over to the centre of the quinjet where the battle plans were being rushed. You and Sam walked over to join everybody, they all spared you a quick glance and smile or wave before turning their attention back to Steve. You eyes took in Bucky and his split lip. He was ignoring you, though you couldn’t tell if it purposely or he was just concentrating on Steve. Which is what you should be doing. You put aside everything else and carefully paid attention.
Hydra had a facility under an ancient Mayan temple deep in the Lacandon Jungle. Because their had been no opportunity to do re-con you knew very little about the layout of the facility or the temple above it.
“The informant let slip something about tunnels and Hill was able to find references to them in an essay based on an old text. The tunnels come out through the cliffs, 4’2 miles away.” Steve pointed to the spot on the map.
“We need someone to watch the tunnel entrance for any agents trying to escape. The tunnels are narrow so there shouldn’t be too many of them.” Steve continued, eyeing you.
“It’s an ideal distance away for me and if they’re low in numbers I should be able to take care of them without any… issues.” You agreed but he still looked nervous.
“We don’t know where the entrances are around the temple, we need eyes from above. We only have four members who can go airborne and we need them at the temple.” Steve explained and gestured at Thor, Tony, Sam and Vision.
There was good reason that Vernichtung was a last option, a break glass in case of emergency. It was volatile and savage, unable to differentiate between good and evil, friend and foe. It couldn’t be unleashed when there was anybody innocent close by. The only person who had personally witnessed it on the team was Tony, he was able to monitor you from the air at a safe distance. If necessary Sam and Vision were also permitted to provide eyes on Vernichtung.
You swallowed thickly. If they needed the fliers with them, you would have to go in alone. You wouldn’t have any back up.
“I’ll go with her.” Bucky spoke up and you weren’t the only one to do a double take.
He ignored you all and pointed to the map.
“There’s a smaller cliff, parallel to the one we’re supposed to watching. I can set up a vantage point from there and shoot any Agents trying to escape, if she needs to go in I can watch her back from far enough away.” Bucky explained.
It was admittedly a good plan. Steve clapped Bucky on the shoulder and even Tony didn’t look like he could find fault with it. It was decided you and Bucky would stealth drop from the quinjet as it passed over, so Hydra wouldn’t be alerted to your position. From there you would make it to the cliff top to watch the tunnel entrance where Bucky would take over and you would wait with him until you were needed on the ground.
Steve ran through everyone else’s orders but you tuned out, instead focusing on what was going to happen first. The stealth drop. You had flown with Sam and Tony, numerous times. You had never free fallen through the sky with nothing but a piece of tarp to save you. You made your way over to the door of the quinjet where the parachutes were stored. You really hoped you could figure out how to use one properly.
“Don’t worry, you won’t be making the jump alone. You’ll be strapped to Barnes.” Natasha said from behind you.
“I’ll be what now?” You hissed.
She smirked at you as you groaned and wandered back to the team to listen to what Steve was saying.
“Banners on the other side of the world, he’s coming but he’ll likely not get here until it’s over. And Tony is the only one who knows how to contact Spiderman seeing as none of us know his identity.” Steve was saying.
“Don’t feel too left out, Tony won’t tell me either.” You lied.
Well technically it wasn’t a lie, Tony hadn’t actually told you Peter Parker was Spiderman. Peter Parker had.
“Regardless, we’re it. It’s us going in alone and they are prepared for us. They’re probably thinking they have the upper hand and they’re right but we’ve got something they don’t.” Steve said.
“Morals.” Clint butted in.
“Humanity.” Sam added.
And suddenly everybody was chirping in.
“A stellar sense of style.”
“Lakers season tickets.”
“The warriors spirit!”
“Ten bucks says he was going to say ‘each other’.” You quickly input.
“You know what, you don’t get a rousing pre battle speech. You don’t deserve it.” Steve huffed good naturedly.
There were scattered jeers and apologies as you all laughed with a sense of camaraderie. Steve held up his hands in surrender and smirked.
“Alright, alright.” He placated.
Steve’s expression turned serious and the atmosphere changed, the time for joking was over.
“This isn’t an ideal mission but this is an important base for them. None of us want to walk into this ambush but we don’t have a choice, we need to do this. Cut off one head and another will grow in it’s place… It’s time we stop cutting off heads and start burning Hydra to the ground.”
That was a plan you could all get behind.

You and Bucky made it to the cliff top before your stomach settled. Jumping out of planes was not a hobby you would be taking up any time soon. Neither would being manhandled by Bucky Barnes and literally strapped to his chest be making it onto your list of enjoyable activities.
Bucky started quickly and efficiently unpacking his rifle, sparing you a quick glance.
“I’m impressed you didn’t scream on the way down.” He acquiesced.
“Oh Buck, you’ll never hear me scream.” You retorted
His fingers faltered on the zipper.
“Cause I’m brave...” You explained innocently and he glared at you.
You rolled your eyes at him.
“It’s called a stealth drop for a reason, I’m not an idiot. And Sam may have possibly warned me not to.” You admitted.
Bucky snorted and you regarded him with mild surprise. Surely he was laughing at you and not with you. Bucky set up in record time and lay down on his stomach. He found the tunnel entrance on the scope of his rifle and you paced behind him.
“Stop that. It’s distracting.” Bucky reprimanded
“You’re not even looking at me.” You protested.
“I can hear your footsteps.”
You huffed and crouched down beside him, looking at the entrance.
“Do you have to breathe so loudly, it’s putting me off.” He complained.
“You were a sniper in a war zone, how the fuck can my breathing be more distracting than that?” You snapped.
Bucky sighed in exasperation while you wondered if you could kill him and hide his body in the jungle and just blame the bad guys. Nah you didn’t want to hurt Steve. Barnes would have to live for now you decided.
“Hows your lip?” You asked.
“Do you care?” Bucky retorted.
“Hydra have abandoned the facility and holed up in the temple itself” Steve’s voice informed you both through the comms.
If Bucky noticed you jump at the sudden interruption he didn’t mention it.
“Why would they do that, they’re trapped.” You asked.
“Friday scanned the temple. We can’t get a read on what’s inside which means we can’t risk blowing it up. There’s only one entrance to the temple and it’s narrow enough they’ve bottlenecked it. They can hold us off for hours before we’ll make any headway.” Steve explained.
“Good tactic, if they called for back up.” Bucky said.
“That’s what we’re assuming.” Steve agreed.
“What do you want us to do?” You enquired.
“Hold tight, stay in position. We’re going WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?”
You and Bucky exchanged a look of apprehension.
“Captain, what’s going on?” You asked.
“Enhanced in the field. Some kind of rock throwing mutant.” Tony’s voice came in and supplied.
We’ve got this, don’t worry.” He added.
Not worrying was easier said than done.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Steve clung onto the edge of the massive hole that had appeared in the ground under his feet and swung himself back over the edge to survey the scene around him.
Above him Vision was blasting through a chunk of rock that had been propelled through the sky towards him, Sam was manoeuvring through the air to try and avoid the dozens of smaller boulders that had been aimed his way.
There was a woman stood at the edge of the jungle, her arms raised in Tony’s direction, Steve threw his shield towards her but she brought up her hand and the ground between them shot up, forming a dirt shield that stopped hi shield. The woman attempted to throw another large chunk of the ground at Tony again but it never got anywhere near him, stopped in mid air by a red mist.
“You may be able to move the earth, but I can move everything.” Wanda told the enemy mutant and sent the rock careening back towards her.
The woman shrieked in fury and held her hands in front of her, diverting the boulder to the side and sending it crashing into the temple.
“Made you look.” Wanda told her and the woman gasped as an arrow embedded itself in her chest.
“Hey, I found another way into the temple.” Sam exclaimed.
The mutants boulder had crashed through the temple wall, ripping a large hole in the side.
“Well lets go say hello.” Tony decided.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Bucky fired his rifle without warning and you raised an impressed eyebrow. The Hydra operative had barely poked their head through the entrance for a second and he hadn’t hesitated, sending a perfectly aimed bullet through their skull. You even opened your mouth to congratulate him when at least ten agents burst through the entrance and scattered in opposite directions. Bucky couldn’t get them all before they made it to the cover of the jungle, no matter how good he was. He swore loudly as a second group exited the tunnel and made for the trees.
You looked over the cliff edge, it was at least a 400ft drop. You rotated your shoulders and breathed out.
“I think that means I’m up.” You said.
“Be careful.” He told you.
You took one last look at his concerned expression before you breathed deeply and stepped off the side of the cliff.
As you hurtled downwards you remembered Bucky looking at you with respect after you sparred, him carrying you to safety when you were panicking, him saying you had a pretty face. In hindsight you realised it had all been progress into something other than hatred. That was about to come crashing to a halt. If Bucky ever said your name into the still of night again it would be in the throes of a nightmare, not the throes of passion.
All those times he had called you a monster, a freak, an abomination… He was right, and he was about to get proof. All your life you had fought this darkness trying to swallow you from the inside out. With the ground rushing towards you, you stopped fighting.
And everything went dark.

From his vantage point Bucky had a perfect view as you fell and landed gracefully on the ground, as easily as if you’d stepped off a stair. You walked forwards into the jungle and he frowned, the way you were walking wasn’t familiar. You stalked forwards and it brought forwards images in his mind of the way a tiger moved, with confidence and power. He focused the scope on you and swallowed thickly. He could see your veins through your skin, they were jet black and rippling across your flesh like spider webs.
The air around you rippled and crackled and the darkness in your veins spread into the air around you, like black shocks of electricity. He remembered the words he’s read in your file before he’d ever met you. Electrically charged telekinetic field.
You dissapeared from his line of sight into the jungle and a few moment passed before he heard it. Screaming that was abruptly cut off, leaving an eerie silence. He waited and you came back out of the trees, moving towards the tunnel entrance. Your face was towards him and he physically recoiled from the image in the scope of his rifle. The veins on your face converged on your eyes which were pitch black. It was the animalistic sneer on your face that had shocked him though.
That wasn’t you he realized, whatever that thing was it wasn’t you. It was a monster, wearing your skin.

Natasha sped towards the opening in the side of the temple, not slowing at the sight of six Hydra agents. She was on them before they could raise a gun.
She didn’t break her stride as she caught the oncoming fist of one of the men, twisting in to him and using his own momentum to throw him face first into the floor. She dropped to the floor, one knee bent and the other leg swept under the feet of another attacker and knocking him off balance so he was going down as Natasha was standing up and his face met her fist with a sickening crack.
The other four rushed her and she lithely danced out of their reach, using one mans arm to hoist herself gracefully onto his back and using the height advantage to kick another in the throat. She dislocated the shoulder of the man she was perched on, bringing him to his knees and then sprung from his shoulders, colliding with the other two men in a mess of limbs and by the time they all hit the floor the two men were gasping in pain and Natasha had rolled easily to her feet.
She turned back to her final assailant who was still on his knees and gave him a sinful and dangerous smile that could have easily promised pain or pleasure. He didn’t have a chance to try and get up before Natasha had him by the back of the neck, bringing his skull down into her knee and he crumpled to the floor.
She picked up a discarded gun from one of her victims and entered to temple with Clint.
A seventh agent emerged and was met by Tony. The agent laughed and addressed him.
“I’m glad you got our invitation. You should know that Hydra has new allies now and Dr Docherty wants you to know he is coming to take his property back from you Mr Stark. HAIL HYDRA!” The Agent said.
Tony’s blood turned to ice and the agent grinned victoriously and turned his gun on his own head and pulled the trigger before anyone could stop him.
“Guys we have a bigger problem, we seem to be missing a couple hundred Hydra agents in here.” Natasha said.
Tony and Steve followed her and saw for themselves. The cavernous temple was devoid of life but was piled high with rocks.
“The earthmover made a second tunnel.” Clint deduced.
“So we lost them?” Wanda asked.
Steve and Tony shared a look, something was off. Tony swore suddenly.
“Barnes it’s a trap, Hydra are coming for Vernichtung. They’re lying in wait, they’re in the cliff.” Tony said over the comms.
Bucky went to respond but as soon as Tony spoke he saw the not you turn and look at the cliff curiously as if it had heard Tony. It raised it’s hands at it’s sides, the black electric around it crackling loudly and then there was chaos and Bucky was forced to duck.
“We have to go help...” Tony was saying when the ground shook violently beneath their feet.
The Avengers were forced to run as the shaking started to decimate the temple above their heads.
“I thought the earthmover was dead?” Sam yelled.
“She definitely is, this is something else.” Natasha replied coolly as she dodged a piece of rock hurtling from the ceiling.
“So what, in the worlds worst case of ironic timing we just so happen to get hit by a natural earthquake?” Sam shot back
Wanda used her powers to stop a hunk of rock blocking Clint’s path and he nodded gratefully. The Avengers made it out of the temple moments before the entire structure collapsed
“It’s Vernichtung.” Bucky’s voice said over the comms.
“What about her?” Tony snapped worriedly
“It caused the earthquake. It… tore the cliff side off.” Bucky tried to explain.

Your vision flickered in and out as your mind returned. You gasped for breath loudly like you had been underwater as your brain tried to piece together the perplexing scene in front of you. The entire side of the cliff was destroyed, lying in rubble all around you. Voices babbled in your ear, overlapping and loud. You clawed at your ears, unwittingly ripping out your comms and were relieved when the voices stopped.
You curiously moved around, going closer to the cliff. There was a pounding sound coming from somewhere as the air on the back of your neck prickled you realised too late it was footsteps as something collided with you. You were pushed into a rock and looked up at a familiar face. It was Bucky your brain helpfully supplied.
“Don’t move. Don’t look at the cliff.” He implored you desperately.
You frowned, your brow crinkling. What was going on?
“Why?” You croaked out, your voice hoarse.
He didn’t respond, just looked at you, his features contorted with desperation, worry, fear, pity. A sick feeling started clawing its way into your stomach and without warning you pushed him away from you and darted away. You ran towards the cliff, through the rocks. Fear was coursing through you, fear at what you had done. Had you hurt someone?
Nothing could have prepared you for what you saw. You came to a stop in the middle of the scene as you spun round trying to make sense of what you were seeing. You brain fought back, refusing to put the image together and then in an instant it all clicked together.
Carnage. There was no other word for it. Bodies were strewn all around you, none of them intact. Limbs were strewn across the space like litter, intestines spilling from mangled corpses.
You heard Bucky call your name as he chased after you. You wanted to ask what could have possibly done this, what terrible monster was responsible for this nightmarish chaos but you knew. A pained sob tore from your throat and you went to press your hands to your face to contain the noise but as you raised them you saw the blood staining them.
You had done this. After fighting all your life to deny the beast within your soul, here you stood, hundreds of mutilated bodies at your feet.
Bucky heard the wail before he saw you. You were stood in the dead centre of the slaughter. He had tried to shield you from this, he hadn’t wanted you to see it. Something moved between you and him and an agent who had somehow remained hidden deeper in the tunnels emerged, gun pointed at you. Bucky pulled his own gun and aimed, killing the lone agent quickly.
But not quickly enough.
Two loud bangs sounded from somewhere behind you but you didn’t care. You couldn’t care. All you could see, smell and think was blood. Everywhere you looked there was red.
Your chest felt awfully tight and breathing was suddenly much more difficult. Blood blossomed through your shirt, quickly spreading and soaking the cloth. You knew now what the sound had been. You had been shot.
Your breath tore itself out of your chest in ragged, painful gasps and you looked around you at the carnage. Your energy abandoned you and your knees buckled, hitting the mud with a lewd squelching sound. Tears burned your eyes as you realized that it hadn’t rained. The ground wasn’t saturated with water, it was saturated with blood. Your blood poured from your body and mingled with your victims.
The last thing you registered as you fell into blessed unconsciousness was the frantic eyes of Bucky Barnes looking down at you.

A Doctor Strange 2 Featuring Scarlet Witch Would Be Fucking Amazing: Here’s Why
Hello all!
So I reactivated my Twitter account the other day (you can go follow me there on @brielarsonage) and I came across a post about a potential Scarlet Witch cameo in a Doctor Strange film (pictured below).
Here are the individual pictures, too:
And, upon seeing it again AFTER watching Doctor Strange, I really warmed to the idea of Scarlet Witch featuring prominently in the second Doctor Strange film even more. And by that I mean ABSOLUTELY OBSESSING OVER IT!!
But how would Scarlet Witch fit into the Doctor Strange universe? You ask. Well, I was confused at first, too. But I did some research, and I’m ready to start discussing!!
Okay, so first of all, Kevin Feige has discussed Wanda/Scarlet Witch’s powers at length, and has confirmed that she indeed shares the same power set (maybe it’s a different wording then “power set” I’m not sure) as Doctor Strange, she’s simply untrained.
Here’s a quote:
“Her powers, she’s never had any training, I’m talking about Scarlet Witch. She never had any training; she’s figuring it out. Arguably, you could say that that’s why her powers are much more chaotic and much more loose in the way that we showcased those light effects. In [Doctor Strange], some of what you might see today, even the cover of Entertainment Weekly, it’s much tighter. It’s all about focus. It’s all about pulling energies from other dimensions in an organized and purposeful fashion, which is why they can do a lot more than she can in, at least, a much more precise way.”
So, duh, Doctor Strange could offer to help Scarlet Witch train her and develop her powers further. I see it going down like this:
After everyone has been brought back in Avengers 4 (cause DUH, of course they will), Stephen observes Wanda using her powers and says something douchey like “You’re talented. Untrained, but talented.” BECAUSE OF COURSE STEPHEN WOULD SAY THAT HE’S SUCH A FUCKING PRICK SOMETIMES.
(I say the above with all kinds of love for Dr. Stephen Strange)
So this altercation leads to Wanda and Stephen partnering up at the end of Avengers 4 and going off to train, which could lead right into you guessed it: Doctor Strange 2!
So Doctor Strange 2 has been confirmed by Kevin Feige while he was promoting Ant-Man and the Wasp. Full quote:
“Sometimes it's where do those characters pop up? [Doctor] Strange, you know, whenever we do another Strange one, which we will do, it will be a number of years from the first Strange, and yet he's a very big part of Avengers: Infinity War. So it is just a good problem to have when you have too many beloved characters that people want to see more of, whilst keeping to our core belief that we need to keep exploring nuance and keep doing different types of things."
But how would Wanda fit in? If my dream interaction between Wanda and Stephen goes down in Avengers 4, would we start right on her training or would there be a time jump and would Wanda already be partners with Stephen?
That all depends on the plot of Strange 2, which could be a number of things. We don’t have many confirmed ideas on what the plot would be, but ideas on whom the main antagonist will be have been floating around. Right now it’s a debate between Mordo and Nightmare. Doctor Strange Director Scott Derrickson said when asked about what bad guy he’d like to bring to the MCU:
“I really like the character of Nightmare and the concept that the Nightmare Realm is a dimension.”
So could it be Nightmare? Would they sideline Mordo? I don’t think so. At the end of Doctor Strange, Mordo says that there are “too many sorcerers,” so maybe he’ll being to start wiping out sorcerer’s one by one, only for Stephen and Wanda to find out and try to stop him.
That would be my preference, but maybe the first half of the film can be Wanda’s training and the second half can be about Wanda and Stephen trying to stop Mordo. That would also appeal to me.
So you’re probably also asking me: “Madeline (or Lena, whichever you refer to me as), what about Vision? Where will he be? Don’t you think he’ll come back?” My dudes, I am a big ScarletVision shipper, I mean they were what drew me into the MCU after declaring MULTIPLE TIMES I would never fall into the MCU trap.
With that said, I don’t think Vision’s coming back after Infinity War, which breaks my heart, but let’s face it guys, Vision’s time had come. His arc was pretty much done and moving forward he doesn’t serve much of a purpose in the MCU. But this has a silver lining in the way it’ll help develop Wanda’s character.
Yes, yes, the “My love interest died and it’s changed me in a very serious way” is an overused trope, but it fucking works. Plus, Wanda had to kill Vision herself, which takes the trope to a whole new level.
So let’s jump to Avengers 4, Wanda is back but Vision is not. She feels jaded, she doesn’t know what to do. She’s lost so much in this fight. Then, Doctor Strange offers her a place at his side training in the mystic arts.
I think Wanda would take this opportunity because where else does she have to go? Wanda didn’t really have a home outside of the Avengers until Vision, and now Vision’s gone. Why not move on with her life expanding her powers under Doctor Strange’s tutelage?
Plus, business-wise, this would be a great fucking opportunity for Marvel. Let’s face it, solo films do better when you add in another Avenger or two to compliment the main character.
Stephen’s a real asshole sometimes and Wanda could really balance him out. She could call him out on his bullshit and he could help her overcome her fear of her own powers. Wanda is already so powerful, imagine what how much she could accomplish if properly trained.
And, as much as I HATE to admit it because Wanda has a fucking cool origin story, we’re probably not going to get a solo Scarlet Witch film, so why not feature her in another film? She could be the Black Widow to Stephen’s Steve Rogers.
Elizabeth Olsen is also down for more Marvel films, as seen when she spoke about a potential Scarlet Witch spinoff:
“And it’s like, no, of course I would love the opportunity. It’s not about that. It’s about, is it gonna serve the universe, does it serve their larger story? I felt crazy and I was like, ‘Jesus, no, there’s never been a conversation about doing a spinoff.’ I’m not pushing one. That doesn’t mean I don’t want one.”
I could easily see Scarlet Witch fitting into Doctor Strange’s overall story and arc. Maybe he could learn more about himself and his powers through training her, and she could learn more about herself and her powers through being trained.
There’s also the romance aspect which people will obviously go to if Marvel tries the Scarlet Witch/Doctor Strange dynamic, which I’m going to leave up to you to give your input on below. Honestly, I wouldn’t care. It would be cool to explore. But it depends on whether or not Benedict and Elizabeth have that romantic chemistry. Plus, could we really move on from ScarletVision? :/
ANYWAYS, those are my thoughts on a potential Scarlet Witch role in future Doctor Strange films. What are your thoughts?! I’m dying to know if there are any others like me who LOVE this concept.**

Okay so I found this link someone had submitted to another tumblr with ‘leaks’ (as always take with a grain of salt) for the upcoming stuff from Marvel and I have to say, I’m pretty glad that outside a few movies and tv shows, I’m not worried about following the MCU anymore. I’m not going to post everything because it’s long but I’m going to mention a couple of things:
SOURCE
>Black Widow, The Eternals, Black Panther 2, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2, Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are in active development and there are plans for Thor 4, Ant-Man 3, Captain Marvel 2, New Avengers, Young Avengers and Dark Avengers.
Okay, so most of this has been confirmed/rumored already, so I already know which ones I want to see and which ones I’ll see for completion purposes (that’s my OCD talking. I can’t start a series of movies and not finish). I don’t know much about the New/Dark Avengers though so that could or could not be interesting.
>Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki and Hawkeye are being developed for Disney+, but the characters will still be featured in the movies. The X-Men and the Fantastic Four will not appear until Phase 5.
I’m not sure how this will work based on the descriptions from the shows an upcoming movies but as long as they keep the M&M writers and the Russos away from my favorites, I’m willing to at least give it a chance.
>Chris Hemsworth renewed his contract for several more Marvel movies and is expected to appear in both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Thor 4.
Interesting considering he’s been pretty vocal about being completely done and never playing Thor again. And people wonder why I refuse to believe Chris will never play Steve again in his life. They always come back at some point even if it’s years later.
>SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME - Mysterio is from a parallel dimension...
This is actually a whole spoiler that I didn’t want to show for the fans but I wanted to say, confirming this (against M&M and their headcanon) is interesting. Leaving the doors open to fix shit when they start losing money...
>DOCTOR STRANGE 2 – Parts of the movie will be set in the 1980’s.
Look, time travel is possibly being used again after Endgame. Wonder why? Could it be leaving the door open to retrieve a certain blonde character if they can entice his portrayer back? (I’m not saying they’re using it for that express purpose in this movie. This could be a flashback for all I know. Simply saying they’re keeping the option of going back in time available).
>LOKI – Anthology chronicling how Loki shaped human historical events.
Depending on the event, this could either be a comedy or completely tragic. It might make Loki a villian again or be completely tone deaf to the effects of the events.
>FALCON & WINTER SOLDIER – Falcon and Bucky have to work together with a new government-sanctioned Captain America to stop terrorists from destroying the United Nations. New Cap eventually goes psycho and they have to stop him. Seems like it'll lead to Sam becoming the new Cap after all.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. It sounds interesting and I would have been so on board if not for the shitty way they ended Steve’s arc. Someone wanna explain how Sam who rightfully got the shield won’t have it in this series? At least, M&M and the Russos won’t be involved, so maybe we’ll get decent writers who respect the characters. Just don’t kill Steve of old age during the series. That’s all I ask.
>WANDAVISION - Vision gets rebuild, Wanda tries to give him a soul and he instead gets possessed by a dark force. Allegedly it's more of a psychological thriller with a 1950's aesthetic. Wanda and Vision end up living in the suburbs where the neighborhood is racist against Wanda's robosexuality. The witch Agatha Harkness might appear.
Poor Wanda also got shafted. And I’m laughing at the living in the suburbs. This is just, wow. At least now we know where the 1950s rumors came from.
So that’s the rumors/leaks I’m most interested in. There’s a lot more in the above link. And I’m sad to say I’m relieved. The only things that really interest me look like they’re coming soon and should finish out the characters remaining that I care about. I’m going to be negative for a minute and you’ll have to forgive me if you’re excited about the upcoming stuff, but I think we’re going to start seeing the end of the MCU dominance. Unless the new characters really catch onto people’s attentions, I don’t think the next phases are really going to succeed. I will admit, some of it is hope, because you know the minute they start losing money is the minute they’re going to be fixing some of the shit from Endgame, i.e. trying to bring Steve back, Nat, Hulk, etc, even if it’s just for cameos and appearances.

I can't wait to hear the Hulk speak, he can talk with Natasha and the team now. What do you think about it... :D
Thank you for the question! I’m really excited that we’ll be getting a much fuller depiction of Hulk. In the MCU he’s only had two lines (one in TIH and one in TA), so it’s about time. I’m very fond of how he’s depicted in the cartoon Avengers Assemble where the Banner/Hulk dynamic is reversed–I miss Bruce, but I like that version of Hulk. It looks like T: R will use a lot of the buddy humor similar to AA, but this will still be a very different Hulk. Mark jokingly compared him to a two year old, but the second trailer and the previous films make it clear that Hulk has always been smarter than a child–whether he could (or chose to) verbally express it or not. Hulk might be “raging fire,” but those still waters run mighty deep. Fans have really wanted him to progress past the ape-like, single-syllable stage, so I’m pretty sure we’re going to get that. People tend to forget that part of that gorilla-ish, stooping posture has to do with keeping the Big Guy’s face in the frame with much smaller characters. That size difference is one of the things Waititi is going to exploit for humorous purposes because Bruce at 5′8″ compared to Thor at 6′4″ is going to flip with Hulk dwarfing the demigod at over 8′6″ (Frankly, in the trailers, Hulk looks more like 9′+).
As far as interactions with teammates go, Hemsworth’s funny behind the scenes video from Atlanta on the Infinity War set made it pretty clear that Thor and Hulk come out of Ragnarok on very friendly terms (”You can come with me [Hulk]. We’re mates now!).
I think it’s a sure bet that Hulk and Natasha will get along as well as before, if not better now that Hulk can communicate and express himself more. The AA and AoU dynamic will no doubt hold up. He clearly cared for her, but it could get complicated as many fan fic pieces have explored. I think he’ll respect her and not hover when the action starts.
I’m not sure how he’ll interact with some other characters, but I’m sure Bruce’s feelings will have an influence. I suspect Civil War will have to be addressed, but I think Hulk would get the squabbling–he’s not above a sucker punch to even things up, but he’ll probably recognize there are more important matters at hand. I doubt he’ll punch Tony for Johannesburg or even Wanda (Loki is a different case), but he seems to have always been good at keeping score on such slights. (I’ll admit, I’d like to see him backhand two super soldiers for Tony’s sake, but Hulk may be less petty than I am.) I imagine he’ll just redirect the “raging fire” at the villains for the time being. I for one can’t wait to see how Hulk may pair up with Spidey, Groot, Drax (Literal Bros!), Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and others.
The one big drawback is the toll all this has taken on Bruce. In someways, two years have essentially been stolen from him since the last thing he may remember is being pushed off the ledge by Natasha in Sokovia. In 2008′s The Incredible Hulk, Ed Norton’s Banner described being Hulked out as similar to an LSD acid trip–surreal and out of control with only bits and pieces coming back later. I’m not sure how they’ll handle this in Ragnarok or Infinity War. We’re going to get the three-film story arc from Ragnarok to IW to Avengers 4, which I expect will address this. Mark had said back before AoU that Bruce’s control over Hulk was slipping and Bruce feared he eventually wouldn’t be able to come back and Hulk would have control. That’s pretty much what happened and it lasted for two years. Mark has also hinted that there will be some integration of the two since the MCU is not taking the stance that Banner and Hulk are completely separate characters, but instead two sides of the same character. I really hope Bruce wasn’t conscious of what happened at the time because there is already plenty of trauma and disassociation for him potentially to deal with.
Since I ship Bruce and Nat, I want him to be like Rip VanWinkle, and his feelings haven’t changed since he planned to leave with her. I want him to agree that she made the right choice and forgive her for the unforeseen consequences of being under for two years. I want him to be horrified that Hulk was the one who chose to leave and stay in control. I want Bruce to be just as horrified that Nat has been stood up and do all he can to get back to her. I’ll be surprised if all this happens, but I will settle for a “I still feel the same, but we have to save the universe first. Don’t you dare die on me!” A mutual “I’m sorry and I understand why you did what you did” would be nice, too! (Sorry, I never give a short answer.)
