Some context to this now that I’m not running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

There’s a subset of Twitter that still, in the year of 2025, use the Toastbabies as some sort of evidence that Peeta used coercion tactics on Katniss to “make her agree” to have children.

There’s a subset of Twitter that thinks less of Katniss for having children.

And as I said on Twitter, people really need to learn how to discern between the opinions of an oppressed child and the desires of a healing adult, because blaming Peeta for Katniss having children is not the vibe in 2025.

Five things I like about myself:

I'm very calm under pressure. Where many people may lose it, I can typically maintain composure and hop into action in a crisis.

I'm a lot more resilient than I used to give myself credit for. Since my mother's stroke in 2018, I've fielded things I never thought I was equipped to deal with, and that impresses me everyday.

I am loyal, but never to a fault. I like to think of myself as a good judge of character and when something is off with someone, I can tell. My loyalty is not blind, but can be steadfast if earned.

I'm dedicated and work very hard, taking charge when I need to and getting tasks done.

Superficially speaking, I think I have some killer eyes. They're hidden behind glasses, of course, but I do love the color. Not quite brown, not not hazel, but something more in between the two.

Yes, I am well. With my raise came more work responsibilities, so I'm adjusting to that. On top of that, my sister is visiting until the 16th which is always utter chaos and I can never concentrate on anything, so things have been a bit crazy, but I'm doing well, and I'm ok! currently reading: An ARC called Stirring Spurs by MA Wardell who writes beautiful and spicy queer books that I always end up falling in love with.

current obsession: Creating Kindle inserts.

last google: "Loomly" it was to go to the website to schedule social media content for work.

currently working on: Well, right now, I'm about to go to bed, but my big project is untangling all the mistakes my ex-coworker made in our recruiting pipeline in the brief time she was with us to help me out (see how that worked out?). It's thrilling stuff (I'm lying).
