It's my own personal Vargasversary here again! :D #I really got it in under the wire with this one lol but I did it! I did do it! 13 whole digital start-to-finish panels.....woaw......#Definitely the biggest of these anniversary projects thus far hehe <3 But I really wanted to see if I could do it and I did it! I'm happy :D #Inspired by many on this one ahh - the obvious being they ♥ As ever I still hold them so dearly love them so much <3 #The second inspiration source is probably also obvious lol but I've been using a newer-to-me technique to sketch to try and speed up drawing #Specifically inspired from watching Zarla's Handplates speeddraw videos! I'm still a little shaky with it haha #I fell back into my old habits more than once :P But now I understand what over-rendering a sketch means lol - knowledge!#And all-told I think this is probably the longest digital comic I've made in uhhhhhh - at least years #I don't wanna say ever because it still is only 13 panels and two of those share a frame haha but like! That's still a lot for me these days #So I'm pleased for being able to make it in short order! It was fun! #I don’t believe Karlach can’t at least cook some things. I doubt her parents didn’t get her to help with chores and in Avernus she must hav #had to rely on herself most of all so she has to be at least competent at cooking something kind of edible #meanwhile githyanki must be trained to do everything. they know how to maintain weapons fight set up camp cook leave no trace all by the ag #of about five years old. Lae’zel can cook so many things it’s not her fault nobody else wants to eat them #(if they tried them they’d probably like it)#but Shads??? she was too busy being Viconia’s pet project to learn how to cook and she can’t remember her childhood or most of her adulthoo #she can’t cook for SHIT. but she will complain about the food being offered #I also imagine the person did a poll on the men too because if not kind of weird to only ask about the women’s cooking #can’t remember if Minthara was in the poll but i do think she can cook. if only so she can poison the food.#normally nobles would have servants to cook for them but in Menzoberranzan it feels like a death sentence for someone else to make your foo #she isn’t ever going to be the camp cook or anything like that unless she was planning a mass murder

howdy!! it's been a minute but i'm still around. fair warning-- i have been lurking the whole time and have about. 100+ posts drafted 😵‍ you'll be seeing these shortly, i'll try my best to space them out as i get around to tagging them

#tldr im fine it's just been a lot lately and i havent had the energy to tag anything #which!! i like being chatty in the tags and i try my best to say at least something cool about any art or fic i rb #when you're running on 0 tho.... it gets hard to keep that energy up yk???#long version: (if anyone is reading this ty but feel free to drop off at any point it's kinda heavy and just a vent)#hit the 'one more minor inconvenience and im running off into the woods forever' point about five major events ago yet we're still truckin #firstly: found out two months ago (february) that i needed 6 credits worth of college by june to keep my teaching license for next year #so accelerated online graduate courses were the only option and i have since done more work for that than my 5 year undergrad #im almost done with the second class but im so fuckin drained dude i havent been able to really draw/write or play music or sew or anything #everything i do try has either been hit with the executive dysfunction or turns out Bad enough that i get frustrated #shortly after i found out the nice old guy downstairs died my upstairs neighbor who i cared a lot about died. last week and im still waitin #to find out when the funeral is from her son. ive been taking that kinda hard since i feel like i should have checked on her #my parents are moving 17 hours cross country to move back to where we are which is nice but ive been hearing about all their stress with th #house sale on loop by this point whenever i talk to them. which fair they managed to sell the house in a week when we thought itd be months #got smacked with thousands of dollars of surprise car repairs out of nowhere to get my inspection sticker and am still trying to recover #and petty things: lost my favorite piece of clothing and broke my glasses last week while running tech week for the kids #idk man any one thing at a time i could've toughed out better its just been all at once #anyways like i said i'm still truckin and will probably delete this (or at least the tags on it) later had to get all that out somewhere #messenger pidge #if anyone did get this far down thank you for watching me yap <3 i promise im good and will be back to normal shenanigans soon hopefully

yeah hugo Never liked being around jacques as a kid even before his mom died and before he even really knew why. always hated it when he had to hug him, wanted him to stay longer on his business trips, bristled and got angry every time he heard jacques's childhood nickname for him that he hated ("bush baby"). his mom just kinda didn't register any of this and thought everything is fine hugo is just very very clingy and the nickname is cute surely he's not actually upset over it and

We have finally finished this project, and thus, The World's Worst Dating Sim is finally DONE! Just in time for April Fools Day. Now, with our six new contestants, choose, uhh... who's dateable? Or not dateable? This last batch was determined almost entirely by People Telling Us Who To Add, contains multiple AUs, and is... hmm. "Unconventional" may be a good term? only bad thing about being in a fandom where one of the characters canonically has wings is the painful lack of classic wingfic. where is my everything's the same but people have bird wings watford au where one day baz notices simon hasn't been grooming his wings bc of an injury to his ribs so he sits on his bed and makes a whole fuss about how "i'm not doing this to be nice, snow, your wings are just a travesty to look at" and then proceeds to carefully and lovingly tidy his feathers in drawn out silence while they both pretend grooming someone else's wings isn't one of the most intimate things you can do for another person. will this heartbreak never end

#i have an old wingfic that never left the zero draft stage and it was suuuper fucking plotty #simon was still the chosen one in it but not in a weird sex magic kinda way like he was just home grown like that so no humdrum #so lucy is alive and he grew up with her and the mage (and they have a dog!) (simon named her ''little simon'' lmfao)#meanwhile baz isn't a vampire but natasha still died when he was five bc ok i don't know how to explain the lore behind this #bc it has to do with a skeevy blackmarket trade involving human wings like it was kinda dark ngl #but the long and short of it is that baz and tasha are kidnapped and tasha is killed keeping baz safe but baz's wings are damaged #pretty severely and so one of them never grows to full size and it leaves him flightless #n e way simon and baz don't get on bc the mage is still the mage and the old families are still the old families #but they are roommates as usual #and half-term their eighth year pitch manor is raided by blackmarket poachers and mordelia is kidnapped and the whole grimm family is #in shambles so baz goes right to simon about it and there's this reverse of the simon-showing-up-at-baz's-door scene #where baz shows up at simon's door a complete WRECK to ask for help getting his sister back #and simon is like. why are you asking ME for help?#and baz is like. bc you're the only one i know who can #and then they fucking steal one of the mage's cars and hit the road [so good right now by fall out boy starts playing]#and then it's just kind of a normal mission fic about them finding mordelia and saving her life and baz falls out a very high window #and simon catches him etc.#i love wingfics so much #sighs wistfully #i think i need to be alone w my gdocu for while #valen and the void

and same with the jedi prisoner. i think she technically sets him free, but she's a little fascinated by her first glimpse of like. her supposed ancestral enemy and instead i think like. she has her sith house's mercs/guard captain capture him? and then she heads home and she is like. 'hello would you like to spar? we can discuss our codes.' and shes all. 'i am doing so good at being normal and having social interactions.' and dorjis is just like... what the FUCK is going on.
